Transcript
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Hello and welcome to the Frequency Lead podcast, Hey Ambitious.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: And today I am walking with you and you're walking with me in this beautiful place.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: I'm currently in Islamojeras, which is this beautiful island in Mexico.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: And we are walking today on this white sand and I'm looking at this phenomenal beautiful ocean.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: And can you hear the ocean waves?
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: I hope you do.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: So this is my background and this is my surroundings for today.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: And I just want you to really be with me in this moment of time.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: So just walk with me and listen to the ocean waves.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: There is this beautiful harmonious flow.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: And the colors are absolutely phenomenal.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: So if you're not following me on Instagram yet, I would highly suggest because I've been posting this beautiful views of this amazing resort.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: And the resort is called Impression.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: And it's truly impressive.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: They also do have Instagram accounts and you can see their pictures.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: So today just hear, hear what I'm hearing right now.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: The ocean waves, the wind, the birds.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: I'm sitting in a cabana looking out at this ridiculous turquoise water.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Drinking a mocktail.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: And I've been thinking about worthiness.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: Because when I look at the ocean, I'm thinking, the ocean is not standing here and asking, have I done enough today?
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Was I productive enough?
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: Did I earn another wave?
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: It just is.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: And somehow, as humans, especially ambitious women, we just learn something very different.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: We learned when I do enough, then I become enough, then I get to receive.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: And I really think that the universe does not have this setting, and it almost like we do things backwards.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: So much of ambition can quietly become an attempt to prove our worth.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: One more accomplishment, one more certification, one more client, one more goal.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Does that sound familiar?
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: And then, of course, this is the condition.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Then I'll feel successful.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Then I will relax.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Then I'll feel like I've earned it.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: But what if there is nothing you have to do to become worthy of your own life?
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Nature does not operate on a merit system.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: The sun does not ask whether you deserve warmth.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: The ocean does not ask whether you've worked hard enough before it lets you swim.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Life is already creating.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: Life already exists.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: You already exist in your life.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Possibility already exists, abundance already exists.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: Perhaps our work is not always to create more of it.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Perhaps our work is to notice where we've learned to limit our ability to experience it, to be available for it.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: I'm here actually with an amazing friend who is also a coach, Shelby Hansen.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: And Shelby, if you're listening, I love you, and I'm so grateful to spend this week with you here.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: And we've been doing something really fun.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: We're actually testing one week of the creator's room together.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: So you know, technically, I am in my own creators' room laboratory, and I'm so happy that I am doing it with my friend Shelby.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: We've been playing with the prompts, challenging each other's assumptions, exploring possibilities, and noticing where our minds immediately want to return to what they already know.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: And the expansion has been incredible.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: But here's what surprised me: it hasn't felt like work.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: It's been playful, and that matters.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: Because so much personal development becomes another self-improvement project.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Fix yourself, discipline yourself, optimize yourself, and again we are in this task-oriented working hard mode, which feels really comforting and comfortable for an ambitious woman.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: So it feels like this more pressure disguised as expansion.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: But creativity asks something completely different.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: And that's my favorite possibility question.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: What if?
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: What if there is another way?
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: What haven't I considered yet?
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: What would I choose if I weren't trying to prove anything?
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: And I really would love for you to pause here and just ask this question, ponder.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: What would I choose if I weren't trying to prove anything?
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: This is a really good question for you to answer.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: You'll be really surprised.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: And that I know is gonna take you to your heart space, to your soulful expression of who you are.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: And perhaps you've been suppressing that part of you.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: What if there were no conditions?
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Who would you be?
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: What would you be doing right now?
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: How would you be expressing yourself?
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: And what becomes possible when I am curious instead of certain.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Looking at this ocean keeps reminding me we aren't separate from nature.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: We're part of it.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: And nature is constantly adapting, creating, changing, and expanding.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: It's infinite.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: Maybe ambition is not the problem.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: And truthfully, I love ambition.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: I love shooting to the stars.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: Ambition can be life wanting to create more life through you.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: And that's what you're here for.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: You're here to expand life through you, through your channel.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: The question is, what is fueling your ambition?
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: Pressure, approving, the belief that something is missing, or possibility, curiosity, love, creation.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna take a pause here and just let you experience the ocean waves yet again.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: Hopefully you heard the ocean waves.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: They're just so beautiful.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: I can be here forever.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: So yeah, the belief that something is missing, or possibility, curiosity, love, creation.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: There is a completely different experience of ambition available when you're no longer using your vision to prove that you're worthy.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: You get to create because you're alive, because you are a creator, that's your default setting.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: Because you're curious, because something wants to be expressed through you.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: And I have to tell you that vacations like this used to be difficult for me.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Doing nothing?
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: Oh my! My nervous system had opinions about that.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it would take me days to just unwind.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: I've had to practice becoming the woman who can have ambition and receive, who can have ambition and experience fine pleasure, who can create and rest, who can want more without believing that what's here is not enough.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: Who can sit beside the ocean drinking a magtail and know nothing is missing right now, and everything is available right now.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: And strangely enough, that does not make me less ambitious.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: That does not make you less ambitious.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: It actually makes me and you more creative.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: So wherever you are listening from, try something with me.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: Look around.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Find something that exists without earning its existence.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: A tree, a sky, a bird, your breath, and ask yourself, what if I didn't have to earn my worthiness either?
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: And then what might I create if I had nothing left to prove?
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: Don't solve it.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: Play with it.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: Let possibility answer.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: And if you want to keep experimenting with me, I've created something new called possibility experiment.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: For one month, I'm going to send you about ten little invitations to play, explore, question your familiar patterns, and begin creating from possibility rather than pressure.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: This isn't another self-improvement project.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: Consider it your permission slip to experiment with who you could become when you're not trying so hard to become enough.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: And maybe that's where expansion begins.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: Not by becoming more worthy, but by remembering.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: You were never missing anything in the first place.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: And this is the end.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: I'm going back to my ocean and my magtail.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: Thanks for walking with me and go expand what's possible.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: And here is your last moment of the natural ocean waves.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: Expand with the waves.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: And I will see you in my possibility experiment.
