- Lucas: Luna, welcome back to Learn Spanish with Fexingo. Ready for today's topic? Luna: Always! What are we learning today? Lucas: Today we're going to talk about something we all experience — not feeling well. Imagine you're in a Spanish-speaking country and you need to tell someone you're sick. Luna: Oh, that's useful. I'd hate to be stuck and not know how to say my head hurts. Lucas: Exactly. So our first phrase is: No me siento bien. Say it with me: No me siento bien. Luna: No me siento bien. Lucas: That means 'I don't feel well.' Let's break it down. 'No' is no, 'me siento' means I feel, and 'bien' is well. So literally 'No I feel well.' But in Spanish, it's 'No me siento bien.' Luna: Got it. No me siento bien. Lucas: Now, what if you have a specific pain? For example, a headache. You say: Me duele la cabeza. Luna: Me duele la cabeza. Lucas: Yes. 'Me duele' means 'it hurts me,' and 'la cabeza' is 'the head.' So 'Me duele la cabeza' is 'My head hurts.' Luna: Okay, so if my stomach hurts, it would be 'Me duele el estómago'? Lucas: Perfect! You're catching on. 'El estómago' is the stomach. So 'Me duele el estómago.' Luna: Me duele el estómago. Lucas: Another common thing is having a fever. That's 'Tengo fiebre.' Luna: Tengo fiebre. That's 'I have fever,' right? Lucas: Exactly. 'Tengo' means 'I have,' and 'fiebre' is fever. So 'Tengo fiebre' means 'I have a fever.' Luna: And if it's serious, I might need a doctor. How do I say that? Lucas: You say: Necesito un médico. 'Necesito' means 'I need,' and 'un médico' is 'a doctor.' So 'Necesito un médico.' Luna: Necesito un médico. Lucas: Great. Let's practice a little dialogue. Imagine you're at a hotel and you feel sick. You tell the receptionist: No me siento bien. Luna: No me siento bien. Lucas: They ask what's wrong. You say: Me duele la cabeza y tengo fiebre. Luna: Me duele la cabeza y tengo fiebre. Lucas: And if it gets worse, you say: Necesito un médico. Luna: Necesito un médico. That's perfect. Lucas: Now, let's do some repetition. Repeat after me: No me siento bien. Luna: No me siento bien. Lucas: Me duele la cabeza. Luna: Me duele la cabeza. Lucas: Me duele el estómago. Luna: Me duele el estómago. Lucas: Tengo fiebre. Luna: Tengo fiebre. Lucas: Necesito un médico. Luna: Necesito un médico.
