- 0:10Speaker 1: minutes that you were late, I sang songs from The
- 0:13Speaker 1: Music Man to everybody. It was lovely. Do you want
- 0:16Speaker 1: to go with me to see Wolverine and Sutton Foster
- 0:18Speaker 1: in The Music Man? Yes? Okay, thank you. What do
- 0:24Speaker 1: you mean you're drinking? It looks like elephant semen? It's
- 0:30Speaker 1: a delicacy somewhere on this earth? Does it not look
- 0:35Speaker 1: like elephant semen? Dana look it? I mean, I guess
- 0:39Speaker 1: it looks like oat milk. What is smoothie? Banana smoothie?
- 0:43Speaker 1: It's a banana smoothe it is a protein smoothie. Yeah,
- 0:47Speaker 1: there you go. Vanilla. It does have vanilla in it,
- 0:53Speaker 1: but it also has a lot of super greens in it.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I can't get over how good you look in season
- 0:59Speaker 1: five of the show. I think it was the Master Cleanse.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Well was it? Why do you look? I mean, obviously
- 1:06Speaker 1: we're younger, but I'm not talking about age. I'm just
- 1:08Speaker 1: talking about your face. It was the Master Cleanse. I
- 1:12Speaker 1: did the Master Cleanse that year. I remember, well, you
- 1:14Speaker 1: look fine as fuck, h like you wanted to fuck me? No,
- 1:20Speaker 1: you know that that's saying The kids say af as fuck? Yeah,
- 1:24Speaker 1: but I don't. I said, I used to say it
- 1:27Speaker 1: as a kid when you say fine as fuck? So
- 1:30Speaker 1: what does as fuck mean? Though? Well, fucking fucking is nice,
- 1:33Speaker 1: and I'm saying it's as good as a nice fuck anyway. Sorry,
- 1:41Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. How are you a day of shoon? Well?
- 1:44Speaker 1: How are you, Zach? Beautiful day in southern California. Huh,
- 1:48Speaker 1: it's here, It's really, it's really it's getting hot. Don't complain.
- 1:52Speaker 1: You're you're a heat complainer. I'm not a heat trying
- 1:55Speaker 1: to plan a paintball birthday party for you and your
- 1:57Speaker 1: wife said you negged it because of the heat. That's
- 1:59Speaker 1: so Lane, do you know, Daniel, please back me up
- 2:04Speaker 1: and tell Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, do not back him up. Daniel,
- 2:09Speaker 1: you would have been invited. How much fun would a
- 2:11Speaker 1: paintball birthday party would be for Donald? It would It
- 2:13Speaker 1: would be very fun. It's back on then, fine, Okay,
- 2:17Speaker 1: are you happy? That was too easy? Your wife said, Donald?
- 2:22Speaker 1: It though, okay, we'll hire we'll hire a videographer. That
- 2:26Speaker 1: sounds more fun. Yeah, that's your your birthday present. Case,
- 2:29Speaker 1: he can pay for the paintball birthday party and I'll
- 2:31Speaker 1: pay for the videographer to document, and I'll say, your
- 2:34Speaker 1: only mission is to make Donald look like a badass
- 2:36Speaker 1: and cut a video. Want that fu? Yeah, but not
- 2:40Speaker 1: just that. You know what case he said to me,
- 2:41Speaker 1: she goes, First of all, he says it's too hot.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Second of all, you know he's gonna go out and
- 2:46Speaker 1: spend like five thousand dollars on shit. We don't need
- 2:56Speaker 1: sounds about right. That is my wife. She knows me well,
- 3:01Speaker 1: she's funny. She was like, I don't want him to go.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Now he's gonna say yes, and then he's gonna go
- 3:04Speaker 1: buy all these machine guns and paintball armor. That's so
- 3:10Speaker 1: you though, dude. You're like, once you commit, you're like
- 3:12Speaker 1: gonna go get suited up, going all the way. We're
- 3:15Speaker 1: going all the way, dude. That's actually a funny present. Right.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I hire a videographer and I say, look, your assignment
- 3:22Speaker 1: is you cut like a two minute video cut to
- 3:25Speaker 1: Donald's favorite rap music of him looking like a badass
- 3:28Speaker 1: on the paintball field. That's that's a great birthday. You
- 3:32Speaker 1: know how long I'll watched that for that's Oh my god.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I can even have to cut into Star Wars music
- 3:38Speaker 1: if you want. No Avengers mant, I'm gonna speaking of
- 3:45Speaker 1: Avengers and all of that stuff. I do love me
- 3:47Speaker 1: some superhero shows. Man, I can't get over it. I
- 3:51Speaker 1: love it all. Really, Loki? You watching Loki? I am
- 3:54Speaker 1: watching Loki, Dude. I watched Legends of Tomorrow. Do you
- 3:58Speaker 1: watch that? No, we'll see I watched it all. I
- 4:03Speaker 1: watched it all. All right, I'm gonna watched Loki yet.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Is it good? Yeah? It's probably the best written of
- 4:10Speaker 1: the Marvel shows so far. It's a lot of it's
- 4:13Speaker 1: a lot of uh, it's a lot of talking. So
- 4:16Speaker 1: you might like it. I might like it because I
- 4:18Speaker 1: was with my nephew, as you know, Donald and were
- 4:20Speaker 1: you guys were geeking at about Marvel and he's like,
- 4:22Speaker 1: you have to watch you have to watch Loki. And
- 4:24Speaker 1: I was like, does electricity come out of anyone's fingertips?
- 4:29Speaker 1: Because the second that happens, I'm out. No, you're not
- 4:32Speaker 1: gonna meet And he said, he said, not so far.
- 4:34Speaker 1: So I'm gonna watch until I see electricity coming out
- 4:38Speaker 1: of someone's fingertips. Why does that? Why does that, why
- 4:40Speaker 1: does that piss you off so much? It was just
- 4:42Speaker 1: my joking way of saying, like like the magical, like
- 4:45Speaker 1: I'm flying and shooting lightning bolts at you. I started
- 4:48Speaker 1: to get bored. But if there's interesting dialogue, I'm in.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Do you watch the Flash Joel? No, because but I'm
- 4:55Speaker 1: not currently up to date. Oh, by the way, your funny.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Greg Berlandy gave me a I'm going to Atlanta, oh shit,
- 5:03Speaker 1: and what I can't talk about it? And it's and
- 5:05Speaker 1: it's a it's a supporting part and I'm not going
- 5:08Speaker 1: for too long, but I'm I'm I'm heading down to
- 5:10Speaker 1: hot Atlanta, I said, Greg. He texted me. He said,
- 5:13Speaker 1: I really love you to do this. I oh, Greg,
- 5:14Speaker 1: you could asked me to do a Valtres commercial and
- 5:16Speaker 1: I'd say yes, And he said, I think you'll think
- 5:20Speaker 1: this is better than a Valtrek's commercial. And it was nice,
- 5:24Speaker 1: Thank goodness, the Valtres commercials. Man like, how much for
- 5:31Speaker 1: you to do a Valtrex commercial? What's your what's your number?
- 5:33Speaker 1: What's your number? What's your number? Donald? What what's your number?
- 5:37Speaker 1: What's your number? Bro? What's your There's no number? Because
- 5:41Speaker 1: it would ruin my career. Yeah it's a rap. Yeah,
- 5:43Speaker 1: there's no I don't want my career to be over,
- 5:45Speaker 1: so there is no number, right whatever. I don't work
- 5:49Speaker 1: like I don't want to. I'm not someone who just
- 5:51Speaker 1: like wants to make a zillion dollars and then go
- 5:53Speaker 1: sit on an island alone and stare at the sea like.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I love working, I love creating. I don't. There's no number,
- 6:00Speaker 1: none whatsoever. No, Joel, do you have a Valtrex's commercial number.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I just looked up what it is, and you know,
- 6:05Speaker 1: no one truly knows me so and I can't have money.
- 6:08Speaker 1: So Valtrecks, if you're listening and you need a spokesperson,
- 6:11Speaker 1: let's do it. By the way, Cuts and Valtres wanting
- 6:14Speaker 1: to advertise on the podcast, and we're like, okay, you
- 6:19Speaker 1: have a flare up. Got a flare up trying to
- 6:25Speaker 1: go on a new tender date. I think Donald and
- 6:28Speaker 1: I could sell the shit out of Valtreks. I think
- 6:31Speaker 1: on the commerc on the podcast it would be funny.
- 6:33Speaker 1: But I'm talking about I'm talking about you on a
- 6:35Speaker 1: TV ad like it's hard to fight her sin plex
- 6:38Speaker 1: ten or whatever it is. If it's a nationwide commercial
- 6:44Speaker 1: I know what those people are making, let's do it.
- 6:46Speaker 1: I'm not I think they're all doing scale. I mean,
- 6:49Speaker 1: they don't hire famous people, so they're like, you know,
- 6:52Speaker 1: they're actors who understandably need to check. And I'm not
- 6:54Speaker 1: knocking them, of course take that money. I'm just saying,
- 6:57Speaker 1: as a known actor, it would definitely end your career. Yes, yes, absolutely,
- 7:02Speaker 1: we are different. Do you remember we were kids and
- 7:04Speaker 1: there was nad like, Mom, do you douche? Oh gosh, yes,
- 7:08Speaker 1: do you remember that? Yes, that's why I use clearly clearly,
- 7:12Speaker 1: like clearly clearly. The fucking John Hamm of that agency
- 7:16Speaker 1: was like, we need to get young people douching, and
- 7:19Speaker 1: so the commercial was like a girl like she had
- 7:21Speaker 1: like came to her mom and she was like, Mom,
- 7:24Speaker 1: do you do Why you ever ask your mother that question?
- 7:28Speaker 1: So gross? Well nowadays, nowadays you'd google it, but back
- 7:32Speaker 1: in the day you had to ask your mom. I
- 7:33Speaker 1: guess according to fucking John Hamm, why isn't John amshball?
- 7:40Speaker 1: I'm saying because the madman whatever, the fancy business exactly John.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I don't mean to blame it on the actor John Hammon,
- 7:51Speaker 1: I mean, whoever, the John Hamm type and Madman is
- 7:55Speaker 1: you know, he's in the pitch meeting with the agency
- 7:57Speaker 1: and there's a picture of a girl and she's like, mom,
- 7:59Speaker 1: do you do? And he's like, this is how we
- 8:01Speaker 1: get young people douching. Anyway, Sorry, we've we've gone, we've
- 8:06Speaker 1: gone off the rails. Do or do not? There is
- 8:11Speaker 1: no try? All right, subject change let's I was just thinking,
- 8:14Speaker 1: how great of a cut machine that is, Like, when
- 8:18Speaker 1: you want to cut, go into something else, just hit
- 8:23Speaker 1: the machine. Hey, um, there it is. I'm sorry, that's
- 8:30Speaker 1: a great Daniel didn't give me many drum options, or
- 8:33Speaker 1: at least I don't know how to use this thing.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I'm sure there's zilion drum options. There are quite a few.
- 8:36Speaker 1: But yeah, you have to change this. Change thee ahead.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Please don't please stop. I thought you liked it when
- 8:44Speaker 1: I wrapped. Should we get into the show? I have
- 8:47Speaker 1: so much one I want to talk to you. Okay,
- 8:48Speaker 1: so let's go. No we can get into the show.
- 8:50Speaker 1: No no, no, no no, in the fun, ruin the
- 8:52Speaker 1: fucking fun. Keep you to hire. I can't wait to
- 8:55Speaker 1: hire the videographer to document your paintball day. All right, look,
- 8:59Speaker 1: by way, I'm gonna ta shots. I'm gonna be like
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna because I obviously will never get a hit,
- 9:02Speaker 1: but I'm gonna like set up a shot where like
- 9:04Speaker 1: I'm like get hit and I fall down in slow
- 9:06Speaker 1: motion for the video. Really, yeah, for you, you're gonna
- 9:09Speaker 1: go hard for it. I'm gonna go hard. I'm gonna
- 9:11Speaker 1: wear a mask or you're gonna wear just goggles. I'm
- 9:13Speaker 1: gonna let you paint paw me in the face both. Oh.
- 9:19Speaker 1: By the way, um Andrew Watt, who is the Producer
- 9:25Speaker 1: of the Year and as a friend of mine, Um,
- 9:29Speaker 1: he's just the most incredible music producer. I mean he
- 9:33Speaker 1: does doing everything from Justin Bieber to Ozzie and Eddie Vetter,
- 9:37Speaker 1: and I mean, the guy is so fucking incredible. He's
- 9:40Speaker 1: recording with Elton John now and I was with him
- 9:42Speaker 1: this weekend and he was I love the podcast. Can
- 9:44Speaker 1: I come on? And I was like, you want to
- 9:47Speaker 1: come on the podcast? So I thought, I think I
- 9:49Speaker 1: may have landed a really cool conversation with Andrew Watt,
- 9:52Speaker 1: the Producer of the Year. What do you think that's great? Dude?
- 9:55Speaker 1: That sounds awesome. I walked in humming a Bieber song
- 9:58Speaker 1: that I love and he was like, oh, I wrote that,
- 10:01Speaker 1: stop it Wait? Which one is it? Peaches? No? What's
- 10:05Speaker 1: the He wrote peaches too? But what's um man? I
- 10:08Speaker 1: love peaches? He wrote that, but what what would be?
- 10:11Speaker 1: What's the one? I think it's called a loan lego.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I mean it's so poppy. You don't judge me. But
- 10:16Speaker 1: I love this shit. Um, anyone, anyone? You know anyone?
- 10:20Speaker 1: And he's called Anyone. It's on his new album. Hell,
- 10:23Speaker 1: you know it's song I had. It's got three hundred
- 10:25Speaker 1: million listens so far. Yes, Donald's pretty cool. You didn't.
- 10:30Speaker 1: You were a little underwhelmed. You were a little underwhelmed,
- 10:32Speaker 1: im me getting Producer of the Year as a conversation, Donald,
- 10:35Speaker 1: You're interesting. No, I think that's dope. Come on, come down.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Well you were liked well, you were like, yeah, you're
- 10:41Speaker 1: like is though, I said. I. I asked the woman
- 10:43Speaker 1: at Jomba Juice behind the counter if she'd come on,
- 10:46Speaker 1: let's let's have a take two of you being excited.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Here we go, here we go, all right? I do
- 10:58Speaker 1: I do think that's dope. Dude, alright, Um, I just
- 11:00Speaker 1: wanted you know. I'm always out there hustling for us,
- 11:02Speaker 1: for our showing for I love that. I love that.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I like your new angle too. It's more, it's more
- 11:07Speaker 1: in your face. I don't know about that why too much?
- 11:12Speaker 1: You know what song is on my mind all the time.
- 11:14Speaker 1: You got a caller, I said, daughter, Yeah, Hey that
- 11:19Speaker 1: that that that that Wait till I get this new
- 11:23Speaker 1: one Casey song down. Joanna's gonna get me the lyrics.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Carrie Brothers and his wife Jess Wiss are gonna produce it.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I think I'm not coming through for the show. I'm
- 11:34Speaker 1: booking guests. I'm I like that we're a musical too.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I like that we're a musical too. And it doesn't
- 11:41Speaker 1: come out of nowhere A little always themed. Every season
- 11:44Speaker 1: we need to add at least one song. It started
- 11:47Speaker 1: off with what you're trying to get into? I dare
- 11:50Speaker 1: shoon what you're trying to do. Yeah, that's a hooky
- 11:54Speaker 1: that's get some people's fucking heads. They love it. I
- 11:56Speaker 1: should get that to Andrew to have him turn into
- 11:58Speaker 1: a baber song. That's what we need. We need. Imagine.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Bieber was like, what you're trying to get into? That'd
- 12:04Speaker 1: be the best day of my life. Man, Every every
- 12:07Speaker 1: every every Nigerian with the last name a first name.
- 12:10Speaker 1: My Dale Shoon would be like, yes, singing the White Boy, Yes,
- 12:21Speaker 1: I right, good hooks. All right, should we get in
- 12:23Speaker 1: the show? Yeah? Why not? Except stories about show me
- 12:33Speaker 1: about a bunch of docs and nurses said, he's the stories.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Never should yeado around here? Yeado? Around season five? Season five,
- 12:57Speaker 1: we're off the rails. This off the rails, off the rails.
- 13:00Speaker 1: This episode is off the everything. We were like, I
- 13:03Speaker 1: don't know what they were smoking, playing to the cameras
- 13:06Speaker 1: and everything, dude, Ray wacky wacky, Yeah, very funny. I
- 13:13Speaker 1: figured out. I figured out what Johnny was doing finally,
- 13:17Speaker 1: like maybe you figured it out. It got It feels
- 13:20Speaker 1: like it's gotten to the point where he's like, all right,
- 13:22Speaker 1: at season five, we're almost at one hundred episodes. I
- 13:27Speaker 1: want to keep this thing fresh. Bill, give me long
- 13:30Speaker 1: ass monologues, and I'm gonna try and make it so
- 13:33Speaker 1: John Michelle can't cut from my face while I do
- 13:37Speaker 1: these monologues, dude, because it's like long, long monologue, longer
- 13:43Speaker 1: and longer, right, Yeah, Like I figured I feel like monologue,
- 13:48Speaker 1: long monologue became his what you're talking about willis Yeah,
- 13:51Speaker 1: and so every episode now he has is what you're
- 13:54Speaker 1: talking about, Willis, But I think he's doing it to
- 13:57Speaker 1: keep it fresh. Also, you know what I mean, Like
- 13:59Speaker 1: at this point, we're really mugging, like we're definitely it
- 14:03Speaker 1: seems like we're all kind of phoning it in, nooning
- 14:06Speaker 1: it in. I think we're so stoked that we're leaning in.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Maybe too far, too far, dude, all like the guy,
- 14:13Speaker 1: the fucking dude at the party on blow like a
- 14:16Speaker 1: right every reckon. Yeah, that's what I mean. Yes, I
- 14:19Speaker 1: don't mean phoning it in, but it feels like everybody's
- 14:21Speaker 1: just trying to go so freaking yeah because we're all
- 14:24Speaker 1: so excited, we all love it. We're fucking sprinting, and
- 14:26Speaker 1: I'm sure there's a part of it it's like, how
- 14:28Speaker 1: do we make this new? It's season five? Come on,
- 14:29Speaker 1: why do we turn the corner? What do we do now?
- 14:31Speaker 1: And then Bill's answer was what if we had ostriches
- 14:35Speaker 1: that steel Donald's hat, dude, not that act as centuries.
- 14:40Speaker 1: There's a lot of moments in this where it's like,
- 14:42Speaker 1: wait a second, this is real the armed fantasies, dude,
- 14:45Speaker 1: where do we get this sweater out of nowhere? This first,
- 14:48Speaker 1: where do we get the coat? And nowhere? Out of nowhere?
- 14:51Speaker 1: And what about the straw? Did you notice in the bar?
- 14:53Speaker 1: We're jumping ahead? But does a sign mean straw? At
- 14:56Speaker 1: the box? Where? Did? At? What? What? How hard dude?
- 15:01Speaker 1: These two plans to get this to happen. You know,
- 15:04Speaker 1: like an animation when someone when the character just reaches
- 15:07Speaker 1: off screen and pulls in like an anvil or something.
- 15:10Speaker 1: It's like that, like we just reach off screen and
- 15:12Speaker 1: pull off a Siamese sweater. Yeah, out of nowhere? Well,
- 15:17Speaker 1: if you want to justify it, we wanted to get
- 15:20Speaker 1: a laugh at the bar, and we put it in
- 15:22Speaker 1: our knapsack that we're hiding under the table and they
- 15:26Speaker 1: turn away for five seconds. I'm not even five seconds?
- 15:31Speaker 1: Are you kidding? Oh my god? We are wacky as
- 15:35Speaker 1: fuck at this point, wacky, wacky, whacky. All right, so
- 15:38Speaker 1: let's sorry, let's get in the show. Um, there's no
- 15:40Speaker 1: way I carried you at all, not even a foot,
- 15:42Speaker 1: let alone down all those stairs. That was definitely a stop. Man,
- 15:45Speaker 1: I cannot lift you very far. Just to get the
- 15:48Speaker 1: joke out, Yeah, well I'm really JD really really really
- 15:52Speaker 1: is dying for laughs in this episode, and we learned
- 15:56Speaker 1: that everyone is fake laughing to their immediate superior to
- 16:00Speaker 1: kiss their ass. I thought that was a really interesting,
- 16:03Speaker 1: uh not interesting, really clever way of showing how, you know,
- 16:08Speaker 1: the pecking order of the hospital. Yeah, with you know,
- 16:12Speaker 1: the joke of you know, trying to use whatever the
- 16:16Speaker 1: problem was as the punchline. I thought that was amazing. Yeah,
- 16:21Speaker 1: and they keep going down until it's a homeless guy
- 16:23Speaker 1: and his dog and his dog. Yeah, and the dog
- 16:25Speaker 1: laughs or barks, he barks at the joke. Um a
- 16:31Speaker 1: little quick bend it yeah, yeah, yeah, Joel's counting. Was
- 16:36Speaker 1: that fucking forgetful to you know? It was? I was
- 16:40Speaker 1: in my head. I was like, can bring back to
- 16:42Speaker 1: bring back the stone or freaking sound off what you're
- 16:51Speaker 1: trying to get them? No, I never got to labeling.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Oh now I had a weird button and it's telling
- 17:00Speaker 1: me I need a new pad. I got already. Well, Daniel,
- 17:05Speaker 1: with all due respect to Daniel, he got me a
- 17:08Speaker 1: super He helped me select a mega fancy one that
- 17:12Speaker 1: maybe a fancy DJ like Daniel wouldn't know how to use.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Like you could like fucking you know, Tiesto could take
- 17:18Speaker 1: this and play a concert I just need a fucking
- 17:20Speaker 1: like four pads labeled Daniel, I can't now, I'm not
- 17:26Speaker 1: even in the right thing anymore because I because you
- 17:28Speaker 1: press something other than the pads themselves. All you have
- 17:31Speaker 1: to do is keep pressing the pads. Oh wait, I
- 17:34Speaker 1: think I'm back. No, no, boy, this is my fault.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I forgot that. Joelka, are you kidding me? Right now?
- 17:50Speaker 1: Right now, dude, Daniel, Daniel's got me balls deep in
- 17:53Speaker 1: something I don't even Yeah, that's not supposed to be there,
- 17:57Speaker 1: is not supposed to be there. Not on pad two.
- 18:03Speaker 1: You're not supposed to be there. Deb This went off
- 18:11Speaker 1: the rails. Sorry, I found it. I found it. No,
- 18:15Speaker 1: thanks to Daniel. There you go. That's for you, great
- 18:22Speaker 1: than anywhere. Please continue, all right, pet peeve of mine,
- 18:25Speaker 1: and if you're aspiring filmmaker out there, don't have main
- 18:29Speaker 1: characters screaming and none of the background reacting. Okay, when
- 18:33Speaker 1: did you see this? When when they do the security
- 18:36Speaker 1: camera thing and Johnny sees yelling Jordan and no one
- 18:41Speaker 1: anywhere near him acknowledges that a man is screaming a
- 18:44Speaker 1: couple feet away from them. I do I agree with
- 18:48Speaker 1: that because the background of folks and gals and guys
- 18:52Speaker 1: don't don't normally do something unless they've been directed to
- 18:55Speaker 1: do it, So you need to remember to tell them, like, hey,
- 18:58Speaker 1: is a guy screaming here, you can react like he would.
- 19:01Speaker 1: You'll now notice this in movies all over the place,
- 19:03Speaker 1: that someone's doing something outrageous and people aren't reacting because
- 19:06Speaker 1: no one told them to. Just a small pet peeve.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Now I take a circular not a fantasy. I take
- 19:13Speaker 1: a circular saw and cut the tie off one of
- 19:16Speaker 1: my interns and then slice his chest open. Yes, not
- 19:22Speaker 1: a fantasy, Donald, No, not a fantasy. Not a fantasy.
- 19:27Speaker 1: And I say it's his fault for wearing a tie.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Not only that, you also he gets DIBs on what
- 19:34Speaker 1: is it on? What? What? What do you get them? Um?
- 19:40Speaker 1: What I keep doing? I forgot but he's bleeding everywhere
- 19:43Speaker 1: up the ketchup scene. He gets ketchup because he gets
- 19:46Speaker 1: gets up first, like cut him open, because there's no
- 19:50Speaker 1: discussion of like, hey man, maybe you shouldn't have used
- 19:54Speaker 1: a circular saw, A buzz saw. What do you call
- 19:56Speaker 1: that thing? Dwal what like a you seemed like circular songs?
- 20:00Speaker 1: Spiral saw? Like a circular saw. No, it's not a
- 20:03Speaker 1: table saw. Thanks for watching the episode down. Um, I
- 20:06Speaker 1: think it's a circular or buzz song. No, I don't
- 20:08Speaker 1: know what kind of it's the kind that you need
- 20:10Speaker 1: a freaking no. No, yeah, you don't know table it's
- 20:13Speaker 1: you got it has it's a circle and you hold
- 20:15Speaker 1: it up and you can cut wood with it, you
- 20:17Speaker 1: and you, but you have to push down on it.
- 20:20Speaker 1: It's the one. It's the one that usually like goes
- 20:21Speaker 1: like this across right. Circular circular saw. Yeah, not to
- 20:25Speaker 1: be confused with a table saw. Don't well, that's just
- 20:28Speaker 1: a big saw. Don't do you know how to build shit? No?
- 20:32Speaker 1: I suck. I wish I did. We should have taken shop.
- 20:34Speaker 1: We should have taken shopping. I did take shop when
- 20:36Speaker 1: I was younger, but I've made swords and shields and
- 20:39Speaker 1: stuff like that, which I never shopping. You know that.
- 20:42Speaker 1: You listen, if you got a kid in high school,
- 20:45Speaker 1: make him take auto. What's the auto? One? Car shop?
- 20:50Speaker 1: I don't know, shop shop the shop class. Oh, then
- 20:57Speaker 1: you didn't have that because you went to like performing
- 20:58Speaker 1: arts high school. But in Jersey there was like like
- 21:01Speaker 1: out of the movies. We grew up on there's like, uh,
- 21:04Speaker 1: you can take and all, Yeah, you can fix your car.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Class that's helpful. You know it's not helpful. Fucking proofs
- 21:12Speaker 1: thereby by the associative property of association, Like, no, that
- 21:15Speaker 1: shit doesn't help you. Changing your oil would help you,
- 21:19Speaker 1: because so then you can change your oil yourself. Yes,
- 21:25Speaker 1: Donald dud, Do you not know how to change your oil? No?
- 21:32Speaker 1: I don't. Do you know how to change the tire? Yeah?
- 21:34Speaker 1: I can change the tire. Do you know how to
- 21:36Speaker 1: charge your battery? Yeah? You don't how to change the
- 21:39Speaker 1: oil in your car? Don't look at me like condescendingly.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I know how to change the oil in my car.
- 21:43Speaker 1: No you don't. I don't ever change the oil of
- 21:46Speaker 1: my I don't believe that you change it myself. Do
- 21:50Speaker 1: you go to jimmy Lube know how to do it?
- 21:52Speaker 1: I don't, but I do. Yeah, but look at the MANU.
- 21:57Speaker 1: I could figure it out. My point is this, I'll
- 21:59Speaker 1: sum it up and move on. Okay, Donald, it's Donald right,
- 22:03Speaker 1: um that there were classes in high school I wish
- 22:06Speaker 1: I took like wood shop and car shop. It's not
- 22:10Speaker 1: called car shop. What the is that class call auto?
- 22:15Speaker 1: What's the auto class? What's auto class calls? People are
- 22:18Speaker 1: screaming it at their phones right now. Autoshop shop maybe, yeah, autoshop.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Do you remember in sixteen Candles they go to the
- 22:26Speaker 1: auto shop and they sit in the in the car
- 22:28Speaker 1: and and he tries to hook up with her and
- 22:31Speaker 1: she goes just right now, I felt how much you'd
- 22:33Speaker 1: liked me, on on on on on my leg And
- 22:35Speaker 1: he goes out there, know he pulls out, Yeah, it
- 22:38Speaker 1: is it, breath man, fresh breath is one of my priorities.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Um so my laugh is it's my genuine laugh that's
- 22:46Speaker 1: featured in this episode. Yeah, I really laughed like that.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I guess I don't notice it until here's people. You
- 22:53Speaker 1: do you do, you do, do it and and you're
- 22:58Speaker 1: and that's how you know when you laughing hard? Yeah,
- 23:01Speaker 1: but you know, like when you hear your laugh played back,
- 23:04Speaker 1: doesn't it sound different strange to you? Like, I don't know.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I guess I'm aware that I have a weird laugh,
- 23:09Speaker 1: but it's not something I'm conscious of when I'm laughing.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I think we all. I think everybody has a weird laugh.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Everybody has a certain has their own type of laugh.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Like I know, I go up high when I laugh, laugh,
- 23:23Speaker 1: you know what I mean, I can't help it. That's
- 23:26Speaker 1: how I know when it's funny that or than when
- 23:28Speaker 1: I laugh and I can't make any sound. Also, you
- 23:32Speaker 1: know when the sound doesn't come out of your mouth
- 23:33Speaker 1: when you let me. Yeah, that's how you know. I like,
- 23:38Speaker 1: that's when I've got you good. I also like when
- 23:40Speaker 1: my laugh. I have a weird thing when I when
- 23:41Speaker 1: I laughed too hard, I go like, it's like, yeah,
- 23:44Speaker 1: describe it. I like that though I do it. Yeah,
- 23:48Speaker 1: you can do it throughout this episode. I know, but no,
- 23:53Speaker 1: that's but there's a different one than Yeah, you kind
- 23:57Speaker 1: of do it in this um okay, the first appearance
- 24:01Speaker 1: of multi ethnic simese. Doctor. It is bizarre that we
- 24:04Speaker 1: had the lab coat ready to go and we seem
- 24:06Speaker 1: to get it on like as fast as Superman changes
- 24:09Speaker 1: into his outfit. Yes, yeah, I said it before, Like
- 24:13Speaker 1: what the heck ketchup is for winners? Ted? Um, do
- 24:17Speaker 1: you know what? That's a light homage to Glen Garry
- 24:20Speaker 1: Glenn Ross. Yes, sir, one of my favorite movies of
- 24:23Speaker 1: all time. Yeah, the Glen Gary Leads. Do you like it?
- 24:27Speaker 1: Dan Danel Glen Gary Glen Ross? Yeah? Sure, Now isn't
- 24:32Speaker 1: that line just in the movie and not in the play.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Very very smart, Donald Fazon. Yes, the Alec Baldwin big
- 24:39Speaker 1: ass monologue that a scene that's in the movie is
- 24:43Speaker 1: not in the play. There you go, Little coffee is
- 24:50Speaker 1: for closers. Yeah. Yeah, these are the Glen Garry leads,
- 24:55Speaker 1: and you do not get them because you will just
- 24:58Speaker 1: fuck them up. Yeah. Great, great, great movie. If you
- 25:03Speaker 1: haven't seen it. I never ask you guys for anything.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Please watch Glenn Gary Glyn Ross have seen that the masterpiece?
- 25:10Speaker 1: All Elliott doesn't Uh you want to go to break
- 25:13Speaker 1: or do you want to continue? What do you think?
- 25:15Speaker 1: Daniel or Joel? Do you where Joel go? Keep throwing
- 25:18Speaker 1: to me. Yeah, her videos, so I just feel like
- 25:21Speaker 1: she left us alone here. Joel's watching rebels? Joel? Are
- 25:25Speaker 1: you watching rebels? Internet is going all right, we'll be
- 25:30Speaker 1: right back after these fine words and we're bad. Oh shit,
- 25:41Speaker 1: I guess we're back. I had some ar bowl. M
- 25:45Speaker 1: h what's that? It's tree in Spanish? You like the arbawl? Huh? Well,
- 25:52Speaker 1: when it saw him? Oh, I see my brother's doggy,
- 25:54Speaker 1: which means he's taking a dump, which means my brothers arrived. Um,
- 25:58Speaker 1: just looking out and seeing a strange dog up in
- 26:00Speaker 1: my arm. I um, I yeah, you know, when it's
- 26:03Speaker 1: one thirty and I want to have energy enough to
- 26:05Speaker 1: to to to hopefully be entertaining, I like a little
- 26:08Speaker 1: kick in the pants. You feel like it gives you wings.
- 26:12Speaker 1: You do too, I do you know what I do?
- 26:14Speaker 1: Want too much? Oh my god? On Scrubs, when Donald
- 26:16Speaker 1: would have a red Bull in his hands, we'd be like,
- 26:18Speaker 1: oh no, yeah, I know, because Donald with red bull
- 26:23Speaker 1: is like someone who's I didn't realize it went back
- 26:27Speaker 1: that far. Yeah. And then other times you used to
- 26:30Speaker 1: get coffee when you've had way too much ready and
- 26:32Speaker 1: you were so crazy, and he'd be like Donald, we'd
- 26:33Speaker 1: like to a pair, like can you please get me
- 26:35Speaker 1: some coffee? And I whispered to pee. I'd be like,
- 26:36Speaker 1: decaf again? Do you remember that? Yeah? You know. Only
- 26:42Speaker 1: when I'm working, I guess that I go hard with uh.
- 26:47Speaker 1: When I was doing an L word, I drank a
- 26:48Speaker 1: lot of red Bulls man to to and it would
- 26:52Speaker 1: be like one o'clock in afternoon, I'd be like red
- 26:54Speaker 1: bull time. You know, I know it's not great for you,
- 26:57Speaker 1: but but when you got to perform and you need
- 26:59Speaker 1: a blast of of energy. It definitely helps me. But
- 27:02Speaker 1: I know it's just chemicals, so don't fucking at me,
- 27:05Speaker 1: all right. And they're not an advertiser, so I can
- 27:08Speaker 1: say that m Judy embarrasses the crap out of Elliot. God,
- 27:15Speaker 1: how funny. First of all, we just said that we
- 27:17Speaker 1: barely have fart jokes, and there's Elliott ripping a fart
- 27:19Speaker 1: and it was the funniest sounding fart. Yes, And then
- 27:26Speaker 1: she becomes what she gets called, um, what is her
- 27:30Speaker 1: nickname for a bank? Farter bank? Yeah, but I think
- 27:36Speaker 1: these people, all of us, I think these people think
- 27:38Speaker 1: it's her last name. Though they know they know about
- 27:42Speaker 1: the bank farting incident. I know. But the guy in
- 27:45Speaker 1: the last the guy in the last room when he's
- 27:48Speaker 1: talking to her, when he fires her, the guy in
- 27:51Speaker 1: that room, Oh my god, but he's like German or
- 27:53Speaker 1: something right, bank faster than that's the funniest shit. Hold on,
- 28:01Speaker 1: I wrote it down. He goes, oh yeah, he goes.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Jealousy is an ugly cutter bank fata. Now, for those
- 28:13Speaker 1: of you that don't remember, Sarah's online at the ATM
- 28:16Speaker 1: and she has to fart. But I think this is
- 28:19Speaker 1: the second fart joke in two episodes, like season five
- 28:21Speaker 1: is off to a fart joke explosion. So Sarah elliotts
- 28:26Speaker 1: at the ATM and there's a line behind her, and
- 28:28Speaker 1: she says, I really have to go. I have to fart,
- 28:29Speaker 1: and and and Carlos says, don't worry. There's all these
- 28:33Speaker 1: men here. They'll just assume it was one of them.
- 28:35Speaker 1: And then she farts and it's like a really high
- 28:38Speaker 1: bitched it's like fair, It's like a kitten being accidentally
- 28:43Speaker 1: stepped on. And and then a guy goes, I think
- 28:47Speaker 1: that lady, that blonde lady. I think that blonde lady.
- 28:55Speaker 1: And so we learned that Sarah has trouble saying in
- 28:59Speaker 1: her job because everyone's calling her bank porter because Carla,
- 29:04Speaker 1: because Carla gossiped, gossiped at the job. No, there's a
- 29:08Speaker 1: lot of people. We have these people in our lives.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Do you think they're your close friends? And they are
- 29:13Speaker 1: and you love them, but they just cannot fucking keep
- 29:16Speaker 1: any ship to themselves. I'm sure you listeners have someone
- 29:19Speaker 1: in your life like that. You're like, I love you,
- 29:20Speaker 1: You're close to me. I want to tell you this
- 29:22Speaker 1: anecdote I can't because you fucking cannot keep ship down.
- 29:28Speaker 1: That's Carla, that's Carla and this. But everybody's got that
- 29:31Speaker 1: person in their life. Absolutely, who is it in your life?
- 29:35Speaker 1: I'm not going to out them on the podcast, but
- 29:37Speaker 1: there's definitely people who I love, who I'm dear friends
- 29:39Speaker 1: with um and I censor myself because I'm like, I
- 29:42Speaker 1: love you. I wish I could tell you this story,
- 29:44Speaker 1: but I have no doubt that you'll tell ten people
- 29:46Speaker 1: by tomorrow. Do you have people in your life like that,
- 29:50Speaker 1: Dann Joel, Yeah, there's definitely mostly Sorry if you're listening
- 29:58Speaker 1: people in my family. My family loves a gossip about
- 30:00Speaker 1: each other, very vocal, so you know, keep that under wraps. Yeah,
- 30:07Speaker 1: you got a censor sometimes because you can see, you
- 30:10Speaker 1: see where the league in the boat is. Granny doesn't
- 30:12Speaker 1: need to you without partying last night? Nope. Wow, it's
- 30:18Speaker 1: funny if you're out partying, Daniel. Are you out partying? Daniel?
- 30:23Speaker 1: Did you go party last night? I'm gonna tell everybody, Daniel,
- 30:30Speaker 1: where did you go party? Yeah? I didn't go party.
- 30:32Speaker 1: I'm agreeing with the sentiment. So I said, Granny doesn't
- 30:36Speaker 1: need to know that you went out partying. I'm like
- 30:38Speaker 1: yep or nope, no, she does not I what I
- 30:42Speaker 1: do last night? Wait? What's what's the day Monday? I
- 30:44Speaker 1: streamed last night? I beat Do Maternal last night. That's
- 30:47Speaker 1: all the partying. Thank you? What's do Maternal? That's a
- 30:51Speaker 1: video game? You beat it? It just it just took
- 30:54Speaker 1: me for did you take on the final boss? As
- 30:57Speaker 1: a matter of fact, I did. I mean the whole
- 31:00Speaker 1: thing out of it. You and my nephew went down
- 31:02Speaker 1: a deep wormhole video game chat. He loved talking to you.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Oh it was so great. I mean, you know, hey,
- 31:08Speaker 1: great dude, great duke, and so is a great person.
- 31:11Speaker 1: But I don't want to reveal their name. On the
- 31:12Speaker 1: part he loves video games and he you guys were
- 31:15Speaker 1: speaking in the same language. Oh yeah, well he's a
- 31:18Speaker 1: good dude, good family. How many people watched you beat
- 31:21Speaker 1: the video game last night? They forty? Not that man,
- 31:26Speaker 1: this is a good show. Love you so do they
- 31:29Speaker 1: ask do you do? Is it a tutorial? Like? How
- 31:32Speaker 1: does it work? Yeah? I never watched one of these
- 31:33Speaker 1: twitch things. Do you play the game and you talk
- 31:35Speaker 1: and people like, wait, slam with this? Sometimes it depends
- 31:39Speaker 1: on how much interaction I want to involve the audience.
- 31:41Speaker 1: And but right now, this segment is called Daniel's Backlog,
- 31:44Speaker 1: where I beat the games that I've been just sitting
- 31:46Speaker 1: on for too long, just like story games that I've
- 31:48Speaker 1: been really meaning to And how many hours does it
- 31:50Speaker 1: take you depends on the game, but I think this
- 31:52Speaker 1: one took me like eight or nine two hour sessions,
- 31:55Speaker 1: so probably close to through or probably close to twenty hours.
- 31:58Speaker 1: And do people throw you money? Yes, you're kind of
- 32:01Speaker 1: like a stripper on a pole. Yes, you know, they're
- 32:04Speaker 1: throwing dollars at you, like instead of like showing your booty,
- 32:07Speaker 1: you're like beating a dragon and they're throwing dollars at you.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Or they're just paying for me to eventually smoke weed.
- 32:13Speaker 1: That's that's more of the thing. But but you see
- 32:16Speaker 1: the analogy that I've created. Oh yeah, of course, yeah, No,
- 32:19Speaker 1: you're you're You're Shrek. You know. Look, Daddy dandel is
- 32:23Speaker 1: dancing for those dollars. I'll tell you what dance for
- 32:25Speaker 1: those dollars. Dan Cheeks are coming into stage. We've got
- 32:30Speaker 1: to say the dragon. That doesn't It doesn't help that
- 32:33Speaker 1: I was wearing a shirt that said come on it
- 32:35Speaker 1: last night while I was playing, Oh, that's my favorite
- 32:37Speaker 1: shirts of It's a great shirt. It's great say it
- 32:40Speaker 1: just says, it just says. It just says, like, em no, sir,
- 32:45Speaker 1: not that one. Wow, I'm to Disneyland. It was a
- 32:53Speaker 1: guy with a hat. We saw that. It was like
- 32:55Speaker 1: the Ford logo, but it said fuck I think, sir.
- 32:59Speaker 1: I was like, bro, come on, dude, did you see
- 33:02Speaker 1: the guy by the American flag looking at us in
- 33:04Speaker 1: that picture that we posted on the internet. That's Carrie Brothers. No,
- 33:08Speaker 1: behind Carrie Brothers, there's a guy looking at us. Did
- 33:11Speaker 1: you did you go? You gotta go deeper into the picture?
- 33:16Speaker 1: Ridiculous metal. I could never wear that, but I love it.
- 33:19Speaker 1: It's a great shot. Well, I mean, you saw me
- 33:20Speaker 1: weird in the training video for having come on. I
- 33:22Speaker 1: want to come on your twitch. I have no interest
- 33:24Speaker 1: in watching someone play video games, but I want to
- 33:26Speaker 1: come on and make it rain like you're like you're doing.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Oh is there a make it rain button? Uh? Kind of.
- 33:33Speaker 1: I mean there's just there's just the donate button and
- 33:36Speaker 1: you can go as wild as you whatever I want.
- 33:39Speaker 1: But now you do that just goes like where it
- 33:42Speaker 1: makes it look like it's raining. Yeah, I'll make sure
- 33:44Speaker 1: that exists for whatever you want to do this? Okay?
- 33:47Speaker 1: And do you have to do like if I make
- 33:48Speaker 1: it rain like hard? Do you have to do anything special? Like?
- 33:51Speaker 1: Do you when you t work? It sounds like a
- 33:54Speaker 1: perfect time for an audience pool audience. What would you
- 33:57Speaker 1: like Danial to do? Yeah, exactly making it rain? An
- 34:00Speaker 1: If I make it rain, you have to pause the
- 34:02Speaker 1: game and twork, No problem, No problem, that's totally that's
- 34:09Speaker 1: that's fine. Time. Have you ever watched it? I mean,
- 34:11Speaker 1: I know that this exists watching people play video games,
- 34:13Speaker 1: but have you ever done it? I have not, but
- 34:17Speaker 1: I will if I could manipulate people into doing dances
- 34:21Speaker 1: and stuff for me, if I make your rain for them,
- 34:24Speaker 1: I might just start doing that. Dude, coming on the
- 34:27Speaker 1: next time you stream? That would be Wednesday. Wednesday, Hey,
- 34:30Speaker 1: Wednesday night. We're gonna wat Wednesday and night. Appreciate. Can
- 34:34Speaker 1: we pick a game I'm someone interested in, like old
- 34:36Speaker 1: school Super Mario Brothers. What about either one? Whatever you want?
- 34:42Speaker 1: On Wednesdays from five to eight, I played Dungeons and
- 34:44Speaker 1: Dragons and then after that we play whatever playing. Can
- 34:48Speaker 1: I make you tork at Dungeons and dragons gonna make
- 34:50Speaker 1: your tw Oh my god. No, when you're done playing
- 34:56Speaker 1: the game, do you go around to the forty people
- 34:58Speaker 1: and be like, hey, do you want to private watching? Watching?
- 35:01Speaker 1: Private gaming sessions are actually on the only fans, But yeah,
- 35:10Speaker 1: you do you want to? I want to go in
- 35:14Speaker 1: a private room and watch you play Tetris. You're not
- 35:21Speaker 1: gonna believe what happens when that when there's that full
- 35:23Speaker 1: stick comes down, that's straight four piecer. Oh, I got
- 35:32Speaker 1: a corner coming. I'm sure there's I really honestly don't know,
- 35:41Speaker 1: but I'm sure I know that pretty girls do this too, right,
- 35:43Speaker 1: So did they add an element of like, I mean,
- 35:46Speaker 1: it's a guy's dream who likes video games. It's a
- 35:48Speaker 1: beautiful woman, she's probably scantially clad, and she's playing, you know,
- 35:52Speaker 1: a game. It's not a thing, it absolutely is. Yeah.
- 35:57Speaker 1: I know that Sasha Gray, uh, and not that she
- 35:59Speaker 1: does it scantily clad, but she's a very popular woman
- 36:02Speaker 1: amongst some men, and I know that she plays games.
- 36:06Speaker 1: She does you know what, donald are gonna are gonna
- 36:08Speaker 1: watch her and not you, Daniel, I just changed our minds.
- 36:12Speaker 1: I want to. I thought she was djaying on her
- 36:15Speaker 1: thing I thought, and I thought, that's what you were
- 36:17Speaker 1: doing on your Twitch. I didn't know you guys were
- 36:19Speaker 1: actually playing. No, doesn't she play video games and also
- 36:21Speaker 1: she cooks sometimes bingo. Yeah, she plays video games and cooks,
- 36:24Speaker 1: does cooking streams. I mostly play games. Can you cook, Daniel? Yes?
- 36:30Speaker 1: I can call? Right? Should we fill us? On the
- 36:31Speaker 1: television show Scrubs, we really got quite the side. Um okay,
- 36:38Speaker 1: now speak, Well, this is a nice segue these breasts
- 36:41Speaker 1: on the nurses, like, why are these why are they
- 36:43Speaker 1: wearing the first play? Why would these nurses ever be wearing?
- 36:47Speaker 1: This is like a porno. I'm just saying we really
- 36:50Speaker 1: leaned into the jokes. But listen, it was funny when
- 36:54Speaker 1: someone Rob says that all four breasts and names. He goes,
- 36:58Speaker 1: that's Tina, Marge, Sloppy, and mister Snuggles. And then Alma
- 37:04Speaker 1: goes missed the snuggles. Is what does he say? She's
- 37:08Speaker 1: like Sloppy snow She goes, Slappy's bigger than mister Snuggles. Yeah,
- 37:15Speaker 1: that's funny. I mean he's just so unrealistic though, that
- 37:18Speaker 1: nurses would ever wear anything, like they would be fired
- 37:20Speaker 1: in a second. Somebody'd be like put some clothes on,
- 37:23Speaker 1: like what hospital is this? And then we meet your interns. Finally,
- 37:28Speaker 1: we meet him in the beginning of the we meet
- 37:30Speaker 1: him in the beginning of the show. But now we're
- 37:32Speaker 1: starting to get to know them, and you actually call
- 37:34Speaker 1: Keith Keith and so now yes, and that's the first
- 37:36Speaker 1: time we actually see what Keith looks like. Keith Dudemeister. Yeah,
- 37:41Speaker 1: and uh, and these guys stick with us for a bit,
- 37:45Speaker 1: I guess for a year. Yeah, around Rex, Rex, who
- 37:49Speaker 1: I cut in half. He he's definitely around for the season, right. Oh,
- 37:54Speaker 1: and then there's Gloria, the older the senior system. But
- 37:57Speaker 1: is she around? She around the whole time, She's around
- 38:00Speaker 1: all year because there's a lot of Gloria jokes. Dude,
- 38:04Speaker 1: that was so funny. When I make them go outside
- 38:06Speaker 1: the security gate and we're all waiting on the show.
- 38:11Speaker 1: You're off duty, but everybody kind of has on great
- 38:13Speaker 1: T shirts. And then Glory, I'm like, they're like, shouldn't
- 38:16Speaker 1: we wait for Gloria. I'm like, no, we're not waiting
- 38:18Speaker 1: for Gloria. And I'm like, stop waving. You're always waving.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Enough with the waving. Yeah, but she waves no matter
- 38:25Speaker 1: I don't think they ever gave Gloria. They never give
- 38:27Speaker 1: Gloria lines. I don't remember. But Gloria so far just waves.
- 38:32Speaker 1: That's it, even at the end when you tell her, hey,
- 38:34Speaker 1: and you did the waving thing, you know, and you
- 38:36Speaker 1: do the waving thing. Yeah, she waves before that though, too.
- 38:39Speaker 1: She sits there and just anyway, And Alexander Chapman is back,
- 38:44Speaker 1: wonderful actor as the patient who's always trying to score
- 38:47Speaker 1: money in drugs off of us. Yes, you might remember
- 38:51Speaker 1: him from a very special film UM called Wish I
- 38:54Speaker 1: was here, Here we go. No, I'm not glory a tangent.
- 38:57Speaker 1: There were two actors that really stood out in that film,
- 39:00Speaker 1: Um the guy who played the Ashton Martin dealer. He
- 39:05Speaker 1: was really good, you know the fact that what he
- 39:07Speaker 1: did with with a small two scene part was extraordinary.
- 39:11Speaker 1: And then of course there's Alexander Alexander Chapman who played
- 39:15Speaker 1: the the young rabbi in the movie, who also was
- 39:18Speaker 1: really good. And anyway, he's back and I love him.
- 39:20Speaker 1: He's a really funny, talented actor. He was on Spin
- 39:22Speaker 1: City with Bill and I love that he's playing the
- 39:25Speaker 1: same character and the character still hasn't gotten it right,
- 39:28Speaker 1: yet the character still hasn't you know. And and I
- 39:32Speaker 1: love the fact that the whole hospital U wants to
- 39:36Speaker 1: watch Jordan go down this path yeah where she gets tricked. Yeah,
- 39:40Speaker 1: and then she finally gives him money and he's like,
- 39:42Speaker 1: I can't take it, and she goes, I can't even
- 39:44Speaker 1: boat talks an ear with that, like, just take it.
- 39:48Speaker 1: That means nothing to me. And then she finds out
- 39:51Speaker 1: and that's how, you know, that's how we accept Jordan
- 39:55Speaker 1: into the hospital. That's how she becomes a part of
- 39:57Speaker 1: the fold. It's kind of like she gets hazed. Yeah,
- 40:01Speaker 1: and so you know, I thought that was a beautiful
- 40:03Speaker 1: moment at the end of the show. Also, the music
- 40:05Speaker 1: worked and everything and how you know, there was a
- 40:09Speaker 1: sense of camaraderie and and and fellowship because of what
- 40:13Speaker 1: happened to her, and everybody was able to, you know,
- 40:16Speaker 1: tell them their story of how they got duped by someone.
- 40:20Speaker 1: I thought that was really cool. I laughed out loud
- 40:22Speaker 1: when you go, I can't watch this, and Alma goes,
- 40:24Speaker 1: then move your big ball, biscuit head. Some of us
- 40:28Speaker 1: don't have cable. Yeah, yeah, Alma had two fucking ringers
- 40:36Speaker 1: in this episode. Yeah. And then you fantasizing about killing
- 40:40Speaker 1: your interns. Oh my god, I remember, Okay, I remember
- 40:43Speaker 1: the stuntman doing that fall off the roof, which was
- 40:46Speaker 1: a major fall. I think it was the person who
- 40:49Speaker 1: does it, as I recall, m have you ever been
- 40:52Speaker 1: to Universal Studios when they have the they have the
- 40:56Speaker 1: water World water World show, which is great, by the way,
- 40:58Speaker 1: it's so fun. It's a lot of fun. Oh my gosh,
- 41:01Speaker 1: if you haven't been the Universal Studios, at least here
- 41:04Speaker 1: in La they for your kids will love it. There
- 41:06Speaker 1: was a when I first saw that water World show
- 41:08Speaker 1: as a young kid who wanted to make movies, I
- 41:10Speaker 1: thought it was the coolest thing I've ever seen. Even
- 41:12Speaker 1: seeing it as an adult a trip, I'm sure, I'm sure.
- 41:14Speaker 1: I'm sure it's a really cool attraction. Anyway, there's someone
- 41:18Speaker 1: does an insane dive high dive in that show, and
- 41:21Speaker 1: I believe this was I remember hearing it was the
- 41:23Speaker 1: same dude who was doing this dive off the hospital.
- 41:26Speaker 1: And here's the crazy thing. I don't know if stut
- 41:29Speaker 1: they must have changed this, because it feels like when
- 41:30Speaker 1: stuntman do big falls these days, they do them into
- 41:34Speaker 1: stacks of cardboard boxes that collapse. But this was still
- 41:38Speaker 1: the days of the giant airbag, and I remember that
- 41:45Speaker 1: everyone was very concerned that obviously that the fan that
- 41:48Speaker 1: keeps the air bag big wouldn't get unplugged, because that
- 41:53Speaker 1: would because do you remember there was that utility guy
- 41:57Speaker 1: who was always around Donald. He would do I forgot
- 41:59Speaker 1: his name, he Norm. Yeah, so Norm was a very
- 42:04Speaker 1: nice man and he would just do sort of odd,
- 42:06Speaker 1: odd jobs. And I remember that they put Norm in
- 42:08Speaker 1: charge of like watching the plug, like make sure the
- 42:11Speaker 1: fan doesn't blog. And I was like, I just feel
- 42:15Speaker 1: so dangerous that like it could all come down to
- 42:18Speaker 1: like Norm decides to go get coffee and someone kicks
- 42:20Speaker 1: out the fan plug. Because this dude was risking his
- 42:24Speaker 1: life for a fucking Scrubs joke. It was a big
- 42:27Speaker 1: It was a four story fall, no joke. But they
- 42:30Speaker 1: didn't even use the whole fall. They just used him.
- 42:32Speaker 1: They shouldn't use more. He did the whole thing. Yeah,
- 42:35Speaker 1: it was sick. Everyone gathered around. Is very exciting. Watching
- 42:38Speaker 1: someone fucking do a leap off a building felt very
- 42:41Speaker 1: old school, you know what I mean? No, no green
- 42:44Speaker 1: screen man, that's just the dude fallen off a building.
- 42:47Speaker 1: That's it into a pad that hopefully stays. I never
- 42:55Speaker 1: forget that. Um all right, what else we got here? Um? So, uh,
- 43:00Speaker 1: this goes back in the day when putting your finger
- 43:02Speaker 1: in somebody's mouth was acceptable. T gets hooked fished by Cox. Yes,
- 43:08Speaker 1: you wouldn't like to the ground. I don't know if
- 43:11Speaker 1: I would be. I'd be like, yo, dude, we gotta
- 43:13Speaker 1: hand Sam, I gotta talk. First of all, don't put
- 43:15Speaker 1: your fingers in my mouth. Second of all, I don't want.
- 43:18Speaker 1: Second of all, just the same as the first thing. Right.
- 43:22Speaker 1: I think this is the first time I ever say
- 43:24Speaker 1: zoom zoom zoom. No, it is. It is the first
- 43:26Speaker 1: time zoom zoom zoom. Wasn't that a It was a
- 43:30Speaker 1: car commercial. It was a car commercial. That's where it
- 43:32Speaker 1: started from. What was the car commercial? Do you remember
- 43:36Speaker 1: what it was? I don't remember. It was a car Joell?
- 43:39Speaker 1: Can you look up what the car commercial with zoom
- 43:41Speaker 1: zoom zoom was Amata or Masta? It was the UM
- 43:45Speaker 1: Master zoom zoom, zoom, zoom zoom. That was just the
- 43:49Speaker 1: UM It was their jingles zoom zoom zoom, zoom, zooms
- 43:54Speaker 1: commercial zooms five x eight r x eight zoom zoom zo.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Well those jingle people got us good, and I just
- 44:03Speaker 1: started saying it and then I think I know it. Later,
- 44:05Speaker 1: I have a love interest on the show, and I'm
- 44:06Speaker 1: like you zoom zoom zoom. It was the Banks. Yeah, anyway,
- 44:12Speaker 1: I think this is the first time that makes She's
- 44:14Speaker 1: coming up this season. No, I think Mandy's first, and
- 44:19Speaker 1: then Ebanks at the end. I don't know. That's why
- 44:22Speaker 1: we have a fancy producer like Joel. I'm on it.
- 44:25Speaker 1: It is the end of this season, all right, So look,
- 44:28Speaker 1: we got, we got, Oh my god. Definitely the hardest.
- 44:31Speaker 1: I last was just because you die your mustache blonde
- 44:34Speaker 1: doesn't mean it's gone. I thought that was very funny. Listen.
- 44:41Speaker 1: I always thought that was weird. Like if you want
- 44:43Speaker 1: a female and you want facial hair, by all means,
- 44:45Speaker 1: have it, but don't diet blonde and think that it's
- 44:48Speaker 1: not there anymore through all your thoughts. Uh, listen, if
- 44:53Speaker 1: your body do what you want, but we could still
- 44:55Speaker 1: see it, it's not making it dis Yeah. Yeah, I mean,
- 44:59Speaker 1: now you just have a blonde ustache, right, that's maybe
- 45:02Speaker 1: that's what you wanted. No, but that's fine. There's zero
- 45:06Speaker 1: judgment I'm just saying, I'm here to tell you that
- 45:08Speaker 1: it's not like invisible now, it's definitely absolutely Now, what
- 45:15Speaker 1: do you do? You just get waxed or something. People
- 45:19Speaker 1: don't want that. But sometimes when you wax it and
- 45:21Speaker 1: it comes back though, it's a little bit stronger, and
- 45:23Speaker 1: then all of a sudden sicker. Is that the thinking, Joel,
- 45:26Speaker 1: why would a woman who aspires to have it go away,
- 45:29Speaker 1: um not wax it and choose to die upon it hurts?
- 45:33Speaker 1: It's I guess it's probably not more expensive than dyeing it.
- 45:37Speaker 1: I don't know where it came for, like I don't,
- 45:39Speaker 1: I don't never. None of my friends that I'm aware
- 45:41Speaker 1: of have ever died there mustache, you know what I mean.
- 45:44Speaker 1: You just either wax it or you leave it alone.
- 45:48Speaker 1: So those are really your ab They have the thing
- 45:53Speaker 1: with threads. I've seen the ladies doing threads threading well,
- 45:56Speaker 1: but you don't want to get threading on your upper lip,
- 45:58Speaker 1: like your eyebrows are sturdy, like they could take it right.
- 46:00Speaker 1: It's gonna hurt, You're gonna it's painful as hell. They're
- 46:04Speaker 1: literally twisting your but but it stays because they're really
- 46:07Speaker 1: in that hair out it's the root. I think some
- 46:09Speaker 1: women like it. They're like, um, fuck it, I got
- 46:12Speaker 1: I think it's cute. Sometimes it's just not worth being
- 46:16Speaker 1: bothered with. You're like whatever, Yeah, they're to deal with it.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Teach their own donald. What you're trying to say. You're
- 46:23Speaker 1: going full beard again? Huh? I'm going full beard? Yeah?
- 46:28Speaker 1: Your beard's grown back. Yeah. Man, I'm not working right now,
- 46:32Speaker 1: like the work that I'm doing. The work that i'm
- 46:34Speaker 1: doing is this. It's all voiceover stuff. So I'm gonna
- 46:37Speaker 1: let it grow out until I got to be on
- 46:39Speaker 1: camera again. Okay, So you got a problem with that? No,
- 46:43Speaker 1: I just like you clean shaveing it. I think this
- 46:46Speaker 1: this this season, you look so darn handsome. I guess
- 46:48Speaker 1: I just want would you like the goatee? Really? I
- 46:50Speaker 1: don't mind the goatee. I didn't like the goatee. Really.
- 46:53Speaker 1: You get made fun of in this episode for it.
- 46:55Speaker 1: I do, and I feel like he deserved it. I
- 46:59Speaker 1: don't think it is the maneuver for Turk. I didn't
- 47:03Speaker 1: look at I think you could have any facial hair
- 47:05Speaker 1: that need to be perfect. Did you ever have a goatee? No? Yeah, exactly.
- 47:11Speaker 1: I think I should die I feel like I want
- 47:12Speaker 1: should dye my hair or something like like a hot
- 47:14Speaker 1: like bleach blonde or something. Whoa, I dare you? I
- 47:18Speaker 1: did obviously for Broken Hearts Cull, but it's been a
- 47:20Speaker 1: zillion years since I did it. Maybe do it for
- 47:23Speaker 1: this new secret Greg Borlante show. I actually asked the
- 47:27Speaker 1: director like if I should do something wacky like die
- 47:30Speaker 1: in my hair, and he goes definitely open to something wacky.
- 47:33Speaker 1: Don't die because the person when you're acting with has
- 47:36Speaker 1: died blonde hair. Oh shit, you're curious. I'll tell you
- 47:42Speaker 1: when we're talking at the podcast. Okay, I'm gonna whisper
- 47:45Speaker 1: it just to you. Ready, no one can hear you? Ready?
- 47:50Speaker 1: Can hear me? This episode is so weird. I'm sorry, fans.
- 47:56Speaker 1: I'm just I think we're in a silly moon. We
- 47:59Speaker 1: have a guest caller, Yeah, bringing the car for love
- 48:02Speaker 1: of y'all, say hello to Joe. Should we go to
- 48:06Speaker 1: our second break? First? Yes? Please? Second break? Second break,
- 48:15Speaker 1: I'm losing my fucking mind. Second break, and we're back.
- 48:24Speaker 1: We are back. Oh you know what that sounded like
- 48:30Speaker 1: the Revenge of the Nerds. Oh yeah, everybody, and you
- 48:35Speaker 1: dap the hands? Oh man. When I was a kid,
- 48:46Speaker 1: I remember, like this song is fire. We got a
- 48:54Speaker 1: college talk, you know, like a bottle maybe talking about
- 49:05Speaker 1: the episode. So come on, ladies and gentlemen, give it
- 49:13Speaker 1: up for Jillian. C Hi, Jillian, see Gooby Hi Oh,
- 49:25Speaker 1: I thought, I'm so excited to be here. We're so
- 49:28Speaker 1: excited to have you. Welcome to the show. It's a
- 49:30Speaker 1: very wacky show. Donald's in a very silly mood. Perfect.
- 49:33Speaker 1: I love it, very good. That's my favorite kind of Donald.
- 49:37Speaker 1: What's your nickname Nichole Joe? But actually, uh, it's obviously
- 49:44Speaker 1: a very funny last name. So but Jill, if you
- 49:46Speaker 1: were my friend, i'd call you Goobs. Yeah, it's kind
- 49:50Speaker 1: of cute. Goobs. Hey, it's Goobs and uh goobatron um
- 49:56Speaker 1: you know, yeah, yeah, I'll call you Joe. As you said,
- 50:00Speaker 1: that should nickname Jill in the house, Jill, where are
- 50:02Speaker 1: you calling us from? So I'm in Pittsburgh right now,
- 50:06Speaker 1: and I should caveat this with we had a thunderstorm
- 50:10Speaker 1: and tornado warning today, so hopefully I don't get cut
- 50:14Speaker 1: off in the middle of this. Okay, wow, I want
- 50:18Speaker 1: that to happen either. And my dog is also very
- 50:21Speaker 1: afraid of lightning, So I apologize if is it still
- 50:24Speaker 1: raining in thundering outside right now? It's just sprinkling right now,
- 50:28Speaker 1: So I think that we might be good. Well, welcome
- 50:32Speaker 1: to the program. We're very glad you're here, and and
- 50:35Speaker 1: do you have any questions for us? I do, So
- 50:39Speaker 1: maybe I should just start by saying that I'm a
- 50:43Speaker 1: physician by training, and I did my medical training in Canada.
- 50:49Speaker 1: I did five years of residency there and I'm in
- 50:52Speaker 1: Pittsburgh now doing some research training. So my first question
- 50:57Speaker 1: was kind of related to medicine and the fact that
- 51:02Speaker 1: in medicine there's a lot of stereotypes about different personalities
- 51:05Speaker 1: and different specialties. So I did internal medicine and then
- 51:10Speaker 1: subspecialized in pulmonology. And as it's kind of brought up
- 51:14Speaker 1: in the show, internal medicine doctors are kind of thought
- 51:18Speaker 1: to be the nerds, and pulmonologists are kind of nerdy
- 51:22Speaker 1: but also adrenaline junkies. There's a lot of intensity in
- 51:25Speaker 1: that field. Cardiologists are like the cocky nerds, and gastrointrologists
- 51:31Speaker 1: love poop. Surgeons are the jocks, especially orthopedic surgeons. Yeah,
- 51:37Speaker 1: Radiologists and pathologist hate people. Psychiatrists are kind of the
- 51:40Speaker 1: esoteric wandering souls, you know that sort of thing. So yes,
- 51:44Speaker 1: my question was for Zach and Donald and also Joel
- 51:47Speaker 1: and Danel. If you were to be doctors or in
- 51:51Speaker 1: some kind of medical field, what kind of personality do
- 51:54Speaker 1: you think that your specialty would best fall into. Wow,
- 51:59Speaker 1: how do you questions? Great question. I think Bill nailed
- 52:02Speaker 1: it when he made Turk a surgeon. For me, you know,
- 52:06Speaker 1: I think my personality, and you know, the way I
- 52:13Speaker 1: like to look at myself is definitely jock ish, you know,
- 52:16Speaker 1: I like to you know, if you ask my wife,
- 52:19Speaker 1: I am a professional athlete, or was at the level
- 52:21Speaker 1: of a professional athlete when I was younger and could
- 52:24Speaker 1: actually move my body. So I think definitely a surgeon.
- 52:29Speaker 1: I think you would be an orthopedic surgeon. Yeah, me too.
- 52:33Speaker 1: You'd love to like be breaking bones and using like
- 52:36Speaker 1: the drill saws and everything, and that does sound fun.
- 52:39Speaker 1: It's funny. The one orthopedic surgeon I've gone to is
- 52:41Speaker 1: totally jockey. He's like ripped. I'm like, how are you
- 52:44Speaker 1: having time to go to the gym? I don't sleep? Yeah? Um,
- 52:49Speaker 1: what about you? Daniel and or Joel um. I mean,
- 52:53Speaker 1: I'll say that something that is very near and dear
- 52:56Speaker 1: to me in terms of you know, just wellness health
- 53:00Speaker 1: is ear safety. So maybe an e n T is
- 53:03Speaker 1: some kind of your nose throat doctor. I love being
- 53:06Speaker 1: an advocate for wearing earplugs, and so as we go
- 53:08Speaker 1: out and journey into the world again and go see
- 53:10Speaker 1: concerts and shows, please do remember to wear your earplugs
- 53:13Speaker 1: because you'll get one set of ears you need to
- 53:14Speaker 1: protect us. And if you're on the fence about that,
- 53:16Speaker 1: watch Sound of Metal, the Amazing Film and The Great Cough,
- 53:19Speaker 1: and then definitely wear earplugs when you go to a concert. Yep, Joe,
- 53:23Speaker 1: what kind of what kind of nerd is that? I
- 53:28Speaker 1: don't know if it fits a specific category of nerd,
- 53:31Speaker 1: but I have to admit that I am not the
- 53:34Speaker 1: best at that. I I do listen to music too loudly,
- 53:37Speaker 1: and I use Q tips in my ears. What do
- 53:40Speaker 1: I know? You're not so good wit. You're not supposed
- 53:42Speaker 1: to put Q tips in your ear. You're supposed to
- 53:46Speaker 1: you can postmatic membrane. Yeah, that shit feels so good.
- 53:50Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie. So feels so good. It's sexual.
- 53:55Speaker 1: It's like Okay, you have a guy, don't talk. I'm
- 54:00Speaker 1: not being disgusting. That's what I doing. Fake orgasm in
- 54:03Speaker 1: front of goob. I'm doing what my ear would makes
- 54:06Speaker 1: me feel like. I'm not doing any type of you
- 54:09Speaker 1: doing eargasm. That's not an orgasm. It's an ear gasm.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Very surprise that your new dictave isn't coming up here, Zach. Yeah,
- 54:21Speaker 1: I'm not in front of good stop all right now. Listen, Joel,
- 54:28Speaker 1: you strike I'm not gonna answer for you, but you
- 54:30Speaker 1: do strike me as potentially a psychiatrist psychologist because you're
- 54:34Speaker 1: very good. You're a very good listener. Ahead. I think
- 54:36Speaker 1: that's what I was gonna say, Like, I don't know
- 54:38Speaker 1: how great I would be a prescribing meds and stuff.
- 54:41Speaker 1: So you just give them out to everybody for you.
- 54:47Speaker 1: We're gonna get it. We're gonna make it better. Boo.
- 54:49Speaker 1: So I think i'd be a much better therapist where
- 54:51Speaker 1: I could be like and and okay, and I'm hearing everything.
- 54:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you some very light advice, but most
- 54:55Speaker 1: I'm just here to listen and encourage you, and then
- 54:58Speaker 1: I will send you off to specialist who can really
- 55:00Speaker 1: like get into the nitty gritty of what you need.
- 55:03Speaker 1: But like being like a guy, Listen, I love my therapist.
- 55:06Speaker 1: She's just my home base. We just touch base every week.
- 55:08Speaker 1: She guys me through it. And I feel like that
- 55:09Speaker 1: I would love that job, especially like that job with like,
- 55:13Speaker 1: you know, preteens teenagers is such an awkward and uncomfortable
- 55:16Speaker 1: time and man, being able to just be like, oh,
- 55:19Speaker 1: you're good man, this is just that's just part of
- 55:20Speaker 1: growing up. You're gonna be fine. Oh man, I would
- 55:23Speaker 1: really like that. One of my one of my best
- 55:25Speaker 1: friends from med school actually went into child psychiatry and
- 55:29Speaker 1: deals primarily with childhood anxiety disorders and so bless them
- 55:33Speaker 1: because we need them. She and I mean, like a
- 55:35Speaker 1: lot of a lot of psychiatrists, UM will do more
- 55:39Speaker 1: kind of talk therapy and CBB type UM approaches and
- 55:44Speaker 1: and I mean they also have the ability to prescribe
- 55:46Speaker 1: medications when they when they have to. But um, it
- 55:49Speaker 1: just kind of depends on what area of psychiatry year in. Definitely,
- 55:53Speaker 1: I would I think I'd be an er doctor or
- 55:56Speaker 1: a or a UM trauma center person. I'm very I'm
- 56:00Speaker 1: very excited by the adrenaline and the excitement UM and
- 56:05Speaker 1: the people's skills. And as I've shared on here before,
- 56:11Speaker 1: I volunteered on my town's rescue squad when I was eighteen,
- 56:13Speaker 1: and um, I loved it. I thought it was so incredible.
- 56:17Speaker 1: And then the paramedics who would meet us at the scene,
- 56:19Speaker 1: to me, were like superheroes. And I just always thought
- 56:21Speaker 1: paramedics were so badass and cool and um, you know,
- 56:26Speaker 1: like like all people, I've been in ears and with
- 56:29Speaker 1: family members and when when the doctors and nurses or
- 56:33Speaker 1: come to the rescue, I just think it's so thrilling.
- 56:35Speaker 1: And um, I I think that's what I would do
- 56:39Speaker 1: if I rocket that. There's an amazing documentary Goobs. You've
- 56:43Speaker 1: probably seen it, but it's called Code Black. I have
- 56:47Speaker 1: to see more. There's a TV show that they made
- 56:51Speaker 1: based on it, but I highly recommend this. I just
- 56:53Speaker 1: looked it up for you guys. It's it came out
- 56:54Speaker 1: in twenty fourteen. Um it's called Code Black. The TV
- 56:58Speaker 1: show was inspired by it. But it's about the first
- 57:00Speaker 1: trauma center that was ever set up in la And
- 57:03Speaker 1: as a teaching hospital, and it's insane how they used
- 57:08Speaker 1: to teach young doctors how to handle trauma that comes
- 57:12Speaker 1: in and a code black, I believe is is the
- 57:17Speaker 1: jargon for there's just no there's no beds left, We're
- 57:20Speaker 1: so full the way time is so long, like do
- 57:22Speaker 1: not come here? Because they were an inner city hospital
- 57:25Speaker 1: and I don't know this year, I'll bet, I'll bet anyway,
- 57:31Speaker 1: check out that documentary, especially especially if if you're in
- 57:35Speaker 1: the field end or you know a young person who
- 57:38Speaker 1: might be inspired to get into the field. That documentary
- 57:41Speaker 1: made me want to change my whole life around and
- 57:43Speaker 1: become a real doctor, not a fake doctor. But I'm
- 57:45Speaker 1: just gonna stick with fake doctor. I think one thing
- 57:48Speaker 1: that I would say about that, Zach, is that I
- 57:50Speaker 1: feel like, at least from here listening to the podcast
- 57:53Speaker 1: so much, is that it seems to me like you're
- 57:56Speaker 1: really big on kind of the relationship building aspect of
- 57:59Speaker 1: it too. And the one thing about being an er
- 58:01Speaker 1: doctor is that you don't get to necessarily spend as
- 58:04Speaker 1: much time with the patients. And see that follow up,
- 58:07Speaker 1: so I can see like I get that because I'm
- 58:09Speaker 1: more of an I like the adrenaline of you know,
- 58:12Speaker 1: the acutely critically ill and did a lot of ICU
- 58:15Speaker 1: and that sort of thing, So I can see you
- 58:18Speaker 1: being an ICU doctor. It's the crazy thing about thank you. Wow,
- 58:20Speaker 1: that's a very nice comment. The crazy with the ICU doctors.
- 58:23Speaker 1: I understand it. They're usually on two weeks and then
- 58:25Speaker 1: off two weeks, right, Yeah, because because the hospital and like, well,
- 58:30Speaker 1: my experience with ICU, and I've unfortunately had a bunch
- 58:33Speaker 1: in the last however many years, is that it's so
- 58:37Speaker 1: intense and they come in for two weeks and then
- 58:39Speaker 1: they take two weeks off to recover. But it's weird
- 58:42Speaker 1: because if you've got someone in the ICU, you're like,
- 58:45Speaker 1: you're like you've fall in love with these people, and
- 58:47Speaker 1: you're like, please don't leave me, hero, and they're like,
- 58:49Speaker 1: I have to, I'll be back in two weeks. It's
- 58:52Speaker 1: a weird. It's a it's a weird way of doing things.
- 58:55Speaker 1: But I understand why, because who can sustain that level
- 58:57Speaker 1: of concentration and stress. It could be totally life consuming.
- 59:02Speaker 1: That's it kind of leads into my next question. Yes, Goobs,
- 59:06Speaker 1: good transition you did. I don't even have to do it.
- 59:08Speaker 1: Go ahead, I love it. You should tell all your
- 59:11Speaker 1: friends to call you Goobs. It's the perfect I mean,
- 59:13Speaker 1: they do Donald, don't you love it better than Jill.
- 59:16Speaker 1: I don't. I don't she I said, she wants to
- 59:18Speaker 1: be called Jill Man. I'm gonna honor that and respect
- 59:21Speaker 1: that I'm not. I appreciate you to Jill, all right, Jill,
- 59:29Speaker 1: go ahead. UM. So I really thought it was so
- 59:33Speaker 1: interesting to hear about the process of you guys filming
- 59:37Speaker 1: UM filming scrubs, especially just a crazy, crazy hours that
- 59:41Speaker 1: you were that you were working in scrubs, being there
- 59:44Speaker 1: all hours of the night, and it reminded me a
- 59:47Speaker 1: lot of my residency experience, Like I would have shifts
- 59:52Speaker 1: where I was doing like twenty seven hours and going
- 59:54Speaker 1: one hundred and ten percent the whole time, like not
- 59:57Speaker 1: sleeping UM, And it was just such a critical formative
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: experience in my life. But it was obviously super difficult
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: and filled with a lot of sleep deprivation. But I
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: learned so much through that kind of intensive emerging into
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: my job and into my career, and I bonded so
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: much with the people that I did it with. And
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: so I think that it's kind of similar and there's
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: a lot of correlates with what it seems like you
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: guys went through because you were quite early in your
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: career at that time as well, and it, I imagine
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: was quite a formative experience for you as actors. So
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: now that that is not how a lot of TV
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: shows are made with those like twenty four episodes and
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: lots of that time spent. Do you think that that's changing,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: how the field of acting is moving forward and those
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: experiences for young actors. My first answer is it it
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: became a matter of safety for the crew because what
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: was happening is there were incidents of you know, the
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: crew were always however long actors complain about being there,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: the crew are there longer, and there were a lot
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: of safety issues with with you know, people falling asleep
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: driving home and obviously no one as no one can
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: help but be less safe than they were when the
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: day started, when they've been working for eighteen hours. So
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: I think that people began to become more conscious of that,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: and the unions of course became more conscious that, and
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: the studios did. I don't know, donal do you think
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: as far as acting goes, No, I think it's it's
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: way more it's way more healthy to not do it.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: Although the one defense of it, I'll say is we
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: were playing interns who have these insane hours. So there
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: was a bit of like we're always here, We're only
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: in this hospital. I mean, it was a little bit
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: of method acting because we were we were loopy and
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: silly and pounding coffee and you know, it probably helped us, um,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: you know, pretend to be the real thing, right Donal. Yeah,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: you know, it's just weird when you meet actors who
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: go that deep into the role that they you know,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: start you know, acting like the character that they're playing
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: in some way. It's always and then you meet them
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: afterwards and they're completely different, and so I can't. Yeah,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: I get it for what it's worth, that is an experience,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: but I definitely as I don't care if I was
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: if I were a young actor or an old actor,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: I feel like it's way more healthier to have regulated
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: hours just for your mind and everything. It would suck.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: It sucked to have, you know, when you did eighteen
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: hours and then have to go home sleep and then
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: still memorize your lines for the next day, you know,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: with very and you know, it got to the point
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: where I didn't even try to memorize my lines. I
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: just would go to work and like, all right, what
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: do we what are we doing well, you probably worked
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: better like when you actually left, rather than stayed up
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: all night memorizing your lines. I would guess, yeah, unless
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: the part is like someone I definitely feel sometimes when
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: if you're playing on edge or grouchy or irritable, it
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: obviously helps if you were in that space because you
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: just want to scream, you know. Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: I like I like naps now, I like knaps now
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: you Um, Johnny C would come in. Johnny C lived
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: far out at the beach, and uh, I think I've
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: told you this before. He would. He didn't want to
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: deal with the traffic coming into where we shot, so
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: he would sometimes if he knew he had an early call,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: he'd get up at like four in the morning, drive
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: to the hospital, and then to go back to sleep
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: at the hospital because the traffic from where he lived
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: was such a nightmare. I wish he'd be there like
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: insane amount of hours because he was doing that. Yeah,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: I wish I had his dedication when we were young,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: like we were when we were making this, you know
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: what I mean, Like his his ability to want to
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: learn how to do, not learn how to, but to
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: learn a crap ton of lines. You know, because that
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: was exciting for him, and you know he thought that.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: You know, I just I looked at it as if
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: I could have the least amount of line at this
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: point season five, if I could have the least amount
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: of lines and the least amount of scenes, I can
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: get out and party, or I can go play paintball,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: or I can go You know that, That's what I
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: was thinking about this point in the show. I'm pretty
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: sure of it. Yeah, I am too. That's pretty much
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: your attitude. That's definitely understandable. I mean, you need to
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: have a life too, write like you can't. You can't
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: let it be completely all consuming with your job. I
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: think that's so important to me. Yeah, but you succeed
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: way more when Yeah, but you're but you're doing amazing
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: things and saving lives. We were just fucking around and
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: trying to make people laugh. No, you guys made an
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: incredible show that was super inspiring for me. I actually
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: watched so when I got into med school, my parents
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: bought me the entire box set of Scrubs, and so
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: I got into med school in twenty eleven, and I
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: watched all of it with my best friend, who was
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: my roommate at the time, and um, it was so
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: scary watching it, but like it was amazing, but really
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: scary because I was like, holy shit, I don't know
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: any of this stuff. I know, but maybe we gave
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: you Maybe in watching it, we gave you some random
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: answers that you get. Right, you did. And then I
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: rewatched it again now that I'm kind of doing research
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: training and have done all of my clinical residency and
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: it's just like such a different experience to go through
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: it again at like so much older and wiser. All right, Goobs,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: you know what time it is? I think I might
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: it's time for Pennsylvania's favorite segment, Donald. What time is that?
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: It's time to fix you? How can we fix your life? Goobs?
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: It seems like you have a good life. You seem
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: like a happy person. How can we I can't imagine
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: we can improve on it, but we'll try. Well, I
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: hope that you can give me some hot tips because
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: I am trying to figure out a predicament at the moment. Okay,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: So my partner Sean and I are both in Pittsburgh
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: right now doing research training, and we've both, uh, you know,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: spent a lot of time, money, energy on our careers
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: and our education, and we've both been like very supportive
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: of each other over that time. We're both from Canada
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: and UH and I'm thinking that we'll probably be finishing
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: up our research training here within the next year or so,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: and we're trying to decide where to go after that,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: and so I'm looking at two places and can then
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: one in the US. But we're kind of leaning towards
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Canada because that's where our families are, and you know,
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: if we want to have kids and all that stuff,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: it's easier to do it closer to family. UM, And
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: we're kind of torn between two locations. One is better
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: for my career and one's better for his career. The
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: one that is uh like better for his career is
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: also closer to his family and probably a little bit
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: more family in general that would be able to support.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: And the one that's better for my career has a
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: little bit more of my family nearby. So it's a
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: really tough decision. Wow, that is tricky. Now, how far
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: apart are these um towns from from each other. They're
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: they're Vancouver and Calgary, so they're um on the West coast,
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: and you know, you can fly from Vancouver to Calgary
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: in like an hour and a half. But I try
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: to minimize my like flying because I don't want to
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: have too big of a carbon footprint and whatnot. But um, Daniel,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: Daniel likes that you get from down Oh, I like, now, Goobs,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: I have a question. Um, I don't know anything about
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: living in Calgary, but Van Groovy is a really fun
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: place to live, so we have to factor that in.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: It's a great place to live. Um, Calgary is a
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: pretty cool place to live too. It's just cold, it's
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: colder home, but being in all kinds of outdoor activities
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: and stuff. So both, why don't you come live in
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: southern California? Groops? It's we have a lot of hospitals.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: It's seventy seven every day. What's wrong? Yeah, but then
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: she's got the predicament that they want to start a
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: family and everything will help, will help. You're gonna babysit.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: You got a babysit your kids? Never in your life.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: I want youlder. While you went on Guardians of the Galaxy.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Here's the other issues, asshole. You're in tea ears gad goops,
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: t ears, Sorry goobs, go ahead. The issue with that
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: is that it's still a part of the American healthcare system,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: which is oh yeah, it's a mess. Right. Well, that's interesting.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: So you you prefer the Canadian healthcare system. As a
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: young physician, I like being able to treat people equally. Wow,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: I like that. It is the knowledge for you. There's
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: the knowledge for you, fake doctor's real friends. Ye listener,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: and it right from a young physician. I like to
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: be able to treat my patients equally. Fucking health I
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: am hold on, let me hit the button. That's really
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: that's really well said, really well said, and people need
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: to hear it as succinct as that. Yeah, I don't
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: know what's going to happen in our lifetime for me.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Um all right, well okay, so we're on Canada because
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: we believe in healthcare for everybody. Okay, I got that.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: I mean it's not to say that like I wouldn't
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: like consider taking a job in the US, especially if
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: Donald and I were going to help you out with
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: some light babysitting. Yeah, babysitting your kids. I'm sorry, I'm
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: not baby sitting your kids. He'll be really cute, I promise.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: I'm sure they wait, I'm sure they will be, but
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: I got enough of them. Good is the Vancouver? Um
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: a position better for you or your husband for me? Okay, Vancouver,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: we choose Vancouver. It is Vancouver. It's a no brainer.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: It's a no brainer. Because you're young. How old you

- 1:10:47Speaker 1: ass city. We can live in Calgary another time. It's
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: super expensive too. It's the only thing. But you know
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: you're thirty years old in Calgary. No, no, Donald, we'll

- 1:11:15Speaker 1: ear muffs, you can eat a bag of fucking dicks.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: So you can eat a basket circumcised purple tipped. All right,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: we're done. Oh my god, Goobs, you were supposed to
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: have ear muffs on. I'm sorry it was too good, right, Loops?
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: Why does the tip sometimes purple? From a doctor? No? No, no,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: no her a nope, nope, nope, okay, no, my specialty
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: is the lugs. So sorry, I thought I thought we
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: could cut that. I'm sorry. I just thought that we
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: could ask a doctor a question. I'm sorry. You definitely can't.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: But no, no, I'm sorry, I sorry, I actually don't know.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: I'll have to look that way. Look that up. Oh god, Dane,

- 1:12:17Speaker 1: your third Daniel? Will you look it up and tell
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Goops because she might come up in her practice in Vancouver.

- 1:12:48Speaker 1: on the pole on Twitch. Yes, please. Oh wait, I
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: think I don't have an answer. I just want to
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: say I found the article what to do the tip?
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: What do we do? Doesn't know? There's there's a number
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: of there's a number of possible answers. Sometimes it's simply
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: just increased blood flow to the penis. Sometimes it's a bruise,
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: a hematoma, which is a deep bruise. Blood spots, also
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: known as purpura, can appear purple red and usually rising
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: lurch reaction sexually transmitted infection. Like, there's a lot of answers.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: I think, I think I know what the answer is.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: It's the first one you said. It's when um, the
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: phallus is extremely erect and so much blood has gone
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: there that the tip appears discolored. I think you therefore
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: purple you get, you get va constriction of the veins
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: that that prevents a blood flow from leading the erect boom.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: That's why. And that's from a real doctor, y'all. That's
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: from a real doctor. Real. Yeah, what's it called veva constrictions? Restriction?
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: How Joe beazo constriction? Za? You should Donald? You should
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: use that with your dirty talk with Casey'd be like, oh,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: I got some phaso constriction going on. Okay, very exact.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: I love Za Zach, I love you. Yeah. It's a
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: battal and taking base of dilation and baso construction. To
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: be technical, what did you say? Thank you for that?
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: It's a balance between beaso dilation and basic construction. Case
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: you like casey? Do you want to you want to
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: dilate it? Love you? You want some basodilation? You want
