- 1:11Speaker 2: by P and C Bank, a lot of people think
- 1:13Speaker 2: podcasts about work are boring, and sure they definitely can be,
- 1:17Speaker 2: but understanding of professional's routine shows us how they achieve
- 1:21Speaker 2: their success little by little, day after day. It's like
- 1:25Speaker 2: banking with P and C Bank. It might seem boring
- 1:28Speaker 2: to save, plan and make calculated decisions with your bank,
- 1:31Speaker 2: but keeping your money boring is what helps you live
- 1:34Speaker 2: or more happily fulfilled life. P and C Bank Brilliantly
- 1:38Speaker 2: Boring since eighteen sixty five. Brilliantly Boring since eighteen sixty
- 1:42Speaker 2: five is a service mark of the PNC Financial Service Group, Inc.
- 1:46Speaker 2: P and C Bank National Association Member FDIC.
- 1:51Speaker 3: So Samsung yep overtakes Apple right as the world's top
- 1:57Speaker 3: smartphone provider and uh Chinese.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Rivals You got to you got to companies wild Way
- 2:05Speaker 2: and show.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Me Show Me.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Okay, gotcha show me, But it has an exit spelled
- 2:11Speaker 4: to exit x I.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Oh am I.
- 2:15Speaker 3: So those two companies are the third and fourth largest
- 2:17Speaker 3: smart smartphone providers in the world, respectfully, and they're taking
- 2:23Speaker 3: market share. So you know, Apple has been on and
- 2:26Speaker 3: down with trajectory for about a year now, and you know,
- 2:33Speaker 3: it's been a lot of bad news and this was
- 2:36Speaker 3: the most recent conversation as far as smart Samsung taking
- 2:40Speaker 3: over them as a number one provider in the smartphone world.
- 2:45Speaker 3: So what's what's the thoughts on this news.
- 2:49Speaker 4: I wanted to do like I did a couple of
- 2:50Speaker 4: years ago when I had that breakup, come in and
- 2:52Speaker 4: I talked about it, but I kind.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Of got to addressed this. They'act like everything's fine this
- 2:57Speaker 1: time around, you know. So with that being a couple
- 3:02Speaker 1: of things they.
- 3:04Speaker 4: I get really worried when someone is in the leadership
- 3:08Speaker 4: spot of being number one and then they get complacent. Apple,
- 3:12Speaker 4: please reach out to us asap. I got a few ideas.
- 3:15Speaker 4: I know some of y'all like, whatever idea you have.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Android has got a couple of tricks up my sleeve.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Number two, they need to find a smaller player to acquire.
- 3:24Speaker 4: I keep saying that I think they should acquire Dji
- 3:26Speaker 4: a couple of years ago. But if they do not
- 3:29Speaker 4: get a strangle hold on this over the next couple
- 3:31Speaker 4: of years as the market is shifting, We'll talk about
- 3:34Speaker 4: red Lobster later.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I followed for bankruptcy. Shot to this biscuits.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Though, I get worried when we have a cyclical change
- 3:44Speaker 4: and a product leader falls out of favor because if Samsung,
- 3:50Speaker 4: I mean they got the six point four billion from Biden,
- 3:54Speaker 4: that helps a hell of a lot. That kind of
- 3:55Speaker 4: broke my heart. They need some innovations over the next year.
- 4:00Speaker 4: If our Apple I was shut almost every other project
- 4:03Speaker 4: down and figure out ways to make that phone better,
- 4:06Speaker 4: because they've really been reselling this phone for nine years now.
- 4:11Speaker 4: iOS has been great, but the features on it are
- 4:13Speaker 4: not better. And I think it's time that as investors
- 4:17Speaker 4: we have an open outcry to the investor relations team
- 4:20Speaker 4: and say, hey, guys, gotta fix the shit or you're
- 4:23Speaker 4: going to end up losing your market share. You may
- 4:24Speaker 4: not ever be able to get it back. For those
- 4:26Speaker 4: of you who are saying, hey, you worry too much,
- 4:29Speaker 4: You fear monger too much. At one point, City Group
- 4:32Speaker 4: was the biggest thing on Wall Street, and it fell
- 4:35Speaker 4: apart in two thousand and seven. We're seeing some black
- 4:37Speaker 4: Swan like events start to line up. Please write this down.
- 4:41Speaker 4: The macro picture matters more so if we get two
- 4:44Speaker 4: more major black Swan events and the market drops like
- 4:47Speaker 4: amb is pulling back dramatically as well. They're kind of
- 4:50Speaker 4: pricing in something that is about to happen. I don't
- 4:53Speaker 4: know if Apple can sustain this lead in a smartphone
- 4:56Speaker 4: race if we go through a crash for two years,
- 4:58Speaker 4: or they don't raise rates until twenty five and then
- 5:01Speaker 4: we have a new the White House like, it's a
- 5:05Speaker 4: very scary time. But this is what happens when you
- 5:08Speaker 4: don't innovate. I know sometimes you guys look at the
- 5:11Speaker 4: showmanship of what we do of putting on a good
- 5:13Speaker 4: show and the rollout of investmentest but you have to
- 5:15Speaker 4: innovate every year or you're gonna get killed. Got competition
- 5:18Speaker 4: lined up everywhere, and this is what happens when you
- 5:21Speaker 4: don't innovate n a fast enough clip and don't listen
- 5:23Speaker 4: to your customer base.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yes, all those things are true. There's another piece that
- 5:29Speaker 2: we have to take into account. It is the geopolitical
- 5:32Speaker 2: side of it. When you're talking about which companies are
- 5:36Speaker 2: in third or fourth, they're Chinese companies.
- 5:39Speaker 1: And there's a reason.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Why they're third and fourth because more people are starting
- 5:43Speaker 2: to look at nationalism as a piece of their pursising.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Rather than buying the American phone, they are now choosing
- 5:51Speaker 2: to buy a phone that has similar qualities, that is from.
- 5:54Speaker 1: A Chinese company in their home country from their home country.
- 5:57Speaker 2: You added to the fact that the Chinese companies and
- 6:00Speaker 2: agencies are now eliminate employees to use Apple devices that
- 6:04Speaker 2: hurts them as well.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Yea, right, but this is not move on us. This
- 6:08Speaker 1: is right.
- 6:09Speaker 2: So now it's okay, well you want to ban our apps, Well,
- 6:12Speaker 2: here's what we're going to start doing to our employees
- 6:14Speaker 2: and some of our citizens. We're going to start restricting
- 6:18Speaker 2: how many people can have your product that hurts. Apple's
- 6:21Speaker 2: iPhone sales dropped ten percent in twenty twenty four of
- 6:24Speaker 2: the first quarter. Think about that ten percent, which is
- 6:29Speaker 2: you need China, you need them, you need them. So
- 6:32Speaker 2: Samsung obviously has twenty percent number one. Now they have
- 6:34Speaker 2: twenty percent of the smartphone market. Apples in second place
- 6:37Speaker 2: to seventeen percent. But those two companies that we mentioned
- 6:40Speaker 2: before showed me and Huawei all right there, right there,
- 6:44Speaker 2: and then moving at a fast paced One of the
- 6:46Speaker 2: reasons that Samsung was able to go ahead is because
- 6:49Speaker 2: the release of the S twenty four and the functioning
- 6:51Speaker 2: inside the S twenty four is probably what pushed it
- 6:54Speaker 2: over the top. They have made a concerted effort to
- 6:57Speaker 2: make sure that AI is a component in this sales
- 7:00Speaker 2: of that phone.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Ye.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Apple to this date and it's still early, we all
- 7:04Speaker 2: wait for June has still not said what they're going
- 7:07Speaker 2: to be doing in the AI space. We've seen it
- 7:09Speaker 2: from all the majors. We saw it for Microsoft obviously,
- 7:11Speaker 2: we know what Nvidio is doing. We've seen it from Google,
- 7:14Speaker 2: We've seen it from Meta. What they're talking about, Hey,
- 7:17Speaker 2: I what is the role that Apple's going to play
- 7:20Speaker 2: in it? What's the innovation that they're going to have
- 7:22Speaker 2: in it? And is it going to be inside of
- 7:23Speaker 2: the next innovation or rendition of the iPhone?
- 7:26Speaker 1: We don't know that yet, so I hope.
- 7:28Speaker 2: So you add that into all of the factors that
- 7:32Speaker 2: you spoke about, and you can see why it is
- 7:34Speaker 2: a pullback. And we talked about this. It's the same
- 7:37Speaker 2: phone over and over. Yep, this is not innovative anymore. June,
- 7:42Speaker 2: I think is you said a couple of years. I
- 7:44Speaker 2: don't know how many more quarters they can have like this? Right,
- 7:46Speaker 2: if we start to see ten percent temper this could get.
- 7:50Speaker 1: They're going to have to discount them phones.
- 7:52Speaker 2: And that's a but that so that when they discount
- 7:54Speaker 2: the phones in China, it didn't work. Yeah, right, because
- 7:57Speaker 2: now you made them the same price as some the
- 7:59Speaker 2: cup these that are from China. Right, and so if
- 8:01Speaker 2: they have to choose, they're gonna choose, right, that nationalist economy.
- 8:07Speaker 2: They're gonna choose the phone that that that's made from
- 8:09Speaker 2: the people that look like them. So you got to
- 8:11Speaker 2: take that into account as well. So it a couple
- 8:14Speaker 2: more of these quarters that look like this, we're gonna
- 8:16Speaker 2: have a different conversation.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Yeah, and important.
- 8:19Speaker 2: It's too important, it's too vital to our economy to
- 8:22Speaker 2: have this type of depreciation. So we got we gotta
- 8:25Speaker 2: really keep eye on this.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Back to what I said on Blackout, I appreciate the
- 8:28Speaker 4: partnerships that you have. Let's say, if I have a
- 8:30Speaker 4: yacht party and I say Troyshot can't come, guess what,
- 8:33Speaker 4: and that's that's.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Probably won't be there.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Right. So as soon as they start blocking China, and
- 8:39Speaker 4: then guess what China said, Oh you want to block Okay, cool,
- 8:43Speaker 4: guess what, We're gonna block your product here too, YouTube testa.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Both of y'all get the hell out and figure it
- 8:48Speaker 4: out on your own.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it's happening and you can see it now. The
- 8:53Speaker 2: new thing right, We're watching this happen with TikTok. Right,
- 8:56Speaker 2: what's gonna happen with TikTok?
- 8:57Speaker 1: Now?
- 8:58Speaker 2: The ninety days is potentially being extended to eight months, right, So.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I mean this is a catfight that can mean to
- 9:10Speaker 1: help your war unless you sell an arms and then yeah.
- 9:13Speaker 5: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 9:16Speaker 5: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 9:20Speaker 5: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 9:25Speaker 5: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 9:29Speaker 5: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 9:32Speaker 5: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the United States
- 9:36Speaker 5: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 9:41Speaker 5: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 9:44Speaker 5: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 9:48Speaker 5: are here illegally, your next you will be fine nearly
- 9:52Speaker 5: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and deported, you will
- 9:56Speaker 5: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 9:59Speaker 5: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Do what's right, leave now. Under President Trump America's laws,
- 10:08Speaker 5: border and families will be protected.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security,
