- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar fans, welcome and to do all daily, presented by genjag.com.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Deluga.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much for being here Sunday.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: January 4th and your Jacksonville Jaguars are AFC South Division champions in 2025.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: First time since 2022.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguars.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_00]: They have not had a ton of division titles in their 31 season history 30 years, right?
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: 1995.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: to 2025 and, um, excited to be here talking with you all about the Jaguars right now, unbelievable season, unbelievable kind of you just, just whirlwind of a last year.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: Less than a year ago, Liam Cohen was not the Jaguar's head coach.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: James Gladstone was not the Jaguar's GM.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: Tony Vicelli was not the Jaguar's executive vice president.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: There was a lot of other folks in place.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: That triumvirate at the top, that group has been the figure, not figurehead, because that's obviously a term that kind of denotes them not doing the job.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: But that group has been the group.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: Catalyst for the Jaguars and then becoming a FC South Division champions for the first time since 2022 for only the fifth time in franchise history, being division champs, right?
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: You had 1998, 1999, 2017, 2022, 2025.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's been unbelievable and I did just want to say thank you all to everyone who has tuned in to the channel over the years.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: has supported Jen Jagger over the years.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't know that much about me, I'm not trying to get up on a soap box here, but I've been a Jagger as a fan of my entire life.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: I've been covering the Jagger since 2015, started this YouTube channel in 2022.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: These types of moments I do not take for granted, so I just really want to say thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the support.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: This is what I love to do is talk Jagger's football on your Jacksonville Jagger's 13 and 4.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: They beat the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: In front of a very good home crowd, 41, 27.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: Jack Wars are 13 and 4.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: They are in first place in the AFC South, and they will host a home playoff game next week.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: Likely, against the Buffalo Bills, there are still some games in kind of in flux that could change exactly the seating and everything going on.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: And so obviously you're watching the,
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: Patriots and dolphins in the Patriots are now at 24 to 10, you're watching the Broncos, you're watching the Bills and the Jets and the Bills are up 29, nothing, the Broncos are up 13, three.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: It looks like the Jaguars will be the three-seed hosting the Buffalo Bills.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's what you're going to probably have to look forward to next week, but let's not get too far ahead of ourselves right now.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think the moment needs to be celebrated and and
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: You could question how long some of the starters were in the game, and this one, obviously, the Jaguars they wanted to get Trevor Loans that 4,000 passing yards for the third time in his career, to me that's not as much of a milestone as maybe it was.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: 10, 15, 20 years ago, but look, I get it.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: To me, the Trevor Lawrence getting the 38 total touchdowns this year, the franchise record for total touchdowns in a season, a Clipsing Blake Bordle 37, total touchdowns back in 2015, and doing it in a year where his play for so much of them.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, basically, the back half of the season, he's been playing at an MVP level.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: Prior to that, he was kind of growing into this offense, pieces growing around him, injuries, you had to add to Kobe Myers, you had to get the offensive line right, different things, but Trevor Lawrence, three touchdown passes today, some absolutely money throws, whether it was under pressure, different things.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: It did not start off well today though.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's be very honest, sitting there in that stadium, you're kind of like, oh my goodness, what's going on here?
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: after the Jaguars, they take the ball to start the game, they win the toss and take the ball to start the game and they'd like to do that, they'd like to be aggressive, get the ball rolling a little bit and it did not start well.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: Jeffrey Simmons, as Liam Cohen said, he Jeffrey Simmons does a little bit and he did and it was a horrible first drive and then the Jaguars
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: defense, kind of, you know, camward slice through them on the first drive, and then of course camward got injured on his touchdown.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: So kind of a strange year with looking at all the different injuries at quarterback that have happened.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: Playing against the Jaguars and then prior to facing the Jaguars different back-up quarterbacks, they've faced this year with some of the teams they've played obviously they've beaten some really good quarterbacks too.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's not to take anything away from them just kind of a weird year in that regard overall.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: But the Jaguars after that slow start were they got down seven nothing.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: They outscored the Titans 41 to 0 the rest of the game.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: this was exactly the performance you were looking for.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean Trevor Lawrence ended up with a 131.9 quarterback rating in this game.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: He did end up getting out a little early after he clips 4,000 passing yards on the season.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Mullins came in.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: He still saw some starters in the game.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: Colvin Lannon did go down and it seems like he's okay.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that that's official by any stretch of the imagination yet but crazy that Colvin Lannon
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: was in the game at that point and add some people getting on me on Twitter because I said I don't think that the entire offensive line should have still been in the game and they're like, oh you don't have five start or five backups on the offensive line to dress.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: Well that's true, but you do have three backups on the offensive line that are dressed and you can get in the game for you and you can smooth some guys around so I think you should probably get your...
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: Best three offensive linemen out of the game if you can, but that's neither here nor there.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I don't want to harp too much on any negatives here because I do think that the job, the coaching staff, the front office, and of course the players who are the most important piece to everything have done this year.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they've done an incredible job, getting to 13 and for turning this franchise into a, you know, bold new direction,
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: pardon the pardon the pun there, but you know that the Jaguars and the bold new city of the South, I mean, it's unbelievable.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: Just again, less than a year ago, Doug Petersen, Trent Balky, the refresh, they're really the refresher that this franchise has had with.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: not only young guys coming in relatively speaking and taking over this franchise, but just new blood from a philosophical work ethic, all those things, standpoint, it's just been, it's been really a treat to be around and I think Jack's fan should absolutely really relish in this, but overall,
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: In this game, I mean, the receivers that you expect to make big plays, made big plays, Jacobi Myers got five of six targets, the only drop will not drop, but the only incompletion his way was a pretty good play by the defense, you know, punch in the ball out and Parker washington.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: The contested catches he's made this year.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: The touchdown grabs he's made this year.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's been wild to see him as a down the field threat.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: 17.4 yards per catch today and other touchdown.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: Leading the Jaguars and receiving three straight games.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: Britain's strange was money caught all six of his targets and there was one drive where he got three straight completions I believe were to Britain's strange on that drive.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: If not three straight, it was really close to it.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: It was really impressive for him.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: I thought the offense of line did a good job with Jeffrey Simmons outside of that first drive and you talk about the defense.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: The growth of Antonio Johnson has been incredible.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's no other way to put it.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's been truly incredible to see Antonio Johnson play the way he has five interceptions now, a pick six.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: He had all sorts of guys making plays in the past defense department.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, do we win or he got two straight-tipped passes, I believe.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: Um, on two straight downs, which is pretty cool to see for him, just coming off the edge there, uh, blitzing on the, you know, outside of the tackle, um, Devin Lloyd making plays for a luge can make him play as your whole defense of front getting the job done.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar is finished a year with the number one run defense in football and I know that was a really big deal with him.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Hines Allen was talking about it after the game.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: Really cool stuff there.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: Cam Little getting that 67 yard kick which is now the second longest kick in NFL history.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: So he owns the number one and the number two spot in the NFL record book right now.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: Look, we're going to talk about this game a lot.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: more in depth moving forward.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk about the playoffs coming up.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: The buffalo bills and all likelihood coming to town, everything is not wrapped up quite yet, but we will get into all that stuff moving forward.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: Want y'all to enjoy the evening.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: enjoy it with your friends, family, whoever you're with, Jaguars fans, 41-7, the Jaguars clinched the AFC South and what was for the Jaguars, the AFC South title game, certainly not the same stakes for the Titans and didn't go the way the Titans would have expected, you know, with Cam Ward getting injured so early, but the Jaguars in dominant fashion closed out the regular season.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: They've been a treat to watch all year long, particularly at home,
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: entering this game, their average home score was 29 to 16.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna be a little bit better now.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar is winning 41 to 7 over the Tennessee Titans.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: And it always feels good, especially, you know, jacks fans that have been around since the mid to late 90s, knowing what the Titans
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: kind of how they've tormented the jackwars at times throughout their history and being able to cleanse the division against that team in this building, it means a lot to a lot of folks.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's a night to enjoy a season to enjoy a division title is never something to be taken for granted.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville, Jaguar is 25 F.C.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: South division champions, really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: Again, thank you so much for all the support and if you want to support the channel for you can check out genjack.com.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: We will have division championship shirts coming out tomorrow morning.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: You can be on the lookout for that.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: Gonna go spend some time with the family and friends.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: And y'all have a good one.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks, Duval.
