- Liam: What's up? Welcome back to the Fourth and T pod. It's the week three review show with me, Liam and my fellow host Jamie. How you doing, mate? Jamie: it's been a long day. We discussed this for the show. I'll be, I'll be, I've been up since, since the early hours of the morning. I got up so early. actually caught the last, quarter of the, of Sunday night football. and then, obviously my Panthers lost on Sunday. Your teams, plural, both lost as well on Sunday. So I think. To set the tone of the show might be slightly depressing, but we'll power through just for the listeners. It'd be a good show. Liam: In consolidation with the depression of our teams doing Jamie: You Liam: so atrociously, I've got rid of the Mike Evans jersey. I've now put the the old school Legion of Boom Russell Wilson jersey as the top one behind me in the background. Just so just to try and a call back to better times because I think three of the worst defeats of the week are we're sitting on here. Seahawks losing, massive upset. Tampa Bay, probably the worst team in the league. And the Panthers, Jamie: KB Liam: I don't know, following in their footsteps, losing to the Browns, so Jamie: Maybe the browns are good. Liam: Maybe we want the Browns to be good so that our teams aren't bad. I mean to make it worse, the Jamie: I hope. I hope. Yeah. That's what... Yeah. Liam: other teams in the NFC South are looking better. The Falcons they don't look like a pushover anymore. Or are the or the or the Green Bay that bad. Jamie: think great break could be that bad. Liam: But then they beat the Jets and the Jets don't look that that bad. Jamie: And the jets look good. Liam: I mean, all all that being said, I think it's week three and we haven't got a clue. We haven't got a clue what's going on, Jamie. Jamie: Pretty much. Yeah, normally by now, we know what team is gonna be good. What teams gonna be bad but then like I backed the bills to score 60 and Josh Allen's just saw I'm just gonna turn I've heard Jamie's thing right? He's put I'll put everything on the line put it all on social charge is gonna concede 60 to the bill the Josh Allen for I would turn the ball over I'll do it again. I will do it again. I'm still gonna win just not as many as you expected. I might fair enough mate Liam: I mean, yeah, so same Jamie: Not been a good week. Liam: as me, I think we're gonna cover we're gonna cover the wild takes, but I mean both of us they're meant to be wild but they're so far off the mark. Mine was to do with Jamie: Wild. Liam: the Seahawks, so I mean, wow. I mean, apart from that, any anything else before we get into bit of news? Jamie: Let's get into this. Well, speaking of depression, let's get in some depressing news, shall we? Liam: Speaking of depression, yeah. So kicking it off week three, I think, injuries. Injuries, injuries, injuries. I mean, Jamie, you kicked me off with I reckon if I said kick me off with five injuries, that's an easy one off the bat. Jamie: Well, okay Devon Achan, out for the season, ACL tear, prime... yeah, massive. Liam: Let's quickly talk about that one. Cause that's a bit A Chan, your fantasy season might be in the bin. Jamie: You're finished, yeah. Liam: Let alone the Dolphins. I mean what else did they have? Jamie: Joe was great and the last show I went, they got two really good pieces. They got Malik Willis and they got Devon Achan. If they build around that, they've probably got a very good solid roster and then one of them is out for us this season. Literally three days after I said that. Liam: And if they tank the the and you know, if they if they if they succeed with the fish tank for the dolphin, Jamie: Yeah. Liam: then like the quarterback this quarterback that ends up coming in, like Manning or whatever, what's he coming into? You're not even gonna have the running Jamie: Yeah. Liam: back anymore. So like I don't know. It's down bad for the no, not down bad, but it's down times for the dolphins. Jamie: Yeah, it was worse. was. Not only are they naughtly three and I can't see them winning a game, but now they're down one of their, well, their main star of the season. Liam: They're only proven commodity. So sorry, Jamie: Yeah, exactly. Liam: I I gave you the challenger five and jumped in straight away. Hit me with four more and then we'll see if any of those Jamie: for Liam: are v are interesting. Jamie: Brian Burns out for the Giants ACL. Liam: You're kidding me? The second injury of all of the ones that we've got to say today, and Brian Burns is the one you went for. Jamie: Yeah, but you know, I'm biased, you know, I'm biased when it comes to Brian Burns. I'm biased, obviously. Okay, I'll give you. no, that really is back. Liam: Poor bloke though. That's terrible. It's good vibes in it's good vibes in Big Blue. We keep saying it, but Brian Burns, Jamie: Yeah. Liam: wow. Sorry, mate. Jamie: I'll give you third. Baker Mayfield. Liam: The Scaker's Jamie: How'd you feel? Liam: screams are awful. I don't know. That's the game I was covering. Did you did you manage to catch them? Jamie: I didn't see the injury but I did see obviously the bucks lose but was it bad sorry don't know if you knew that or not but Liam: I know. Right. You know what? Pointless play it's like desperation territory. Or like I'm hearing a bit of mixed feedback because of field position, it was a 50-50, but they could have like defend it was a fourth down and like 10 plus yards. They they could have done a three and out, got the ball back with their timeouts left. But they are they are on a they are getting on towards a 51. halfway line, so you kinda get it. Regardless, the screams are awful and what dislocated them I think they're saying minimum three weeks. So I mean the books that's not going uphill either. Jamie: Brace hole Liam: Sorry, I did say last week the Vikings are coming for that boat and it might not be a pirate ship, it might be a Viking boat. Turns out it's now a Viking boat. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Anyway, sorry, go on. Jamie: Bresal, Jets running back. It's going to be out for several weeks with a thigh injury. Poor Jets. They just started to cook. They just started to be alright. But there's something in the water with running backs. Travis Etienne for the Saints is also expected to miss time following injury week three for the Saints. That's not good either. Justin Jefferson got injured as well. He apparently avoided a major injury. got an ankle injury, could still potentially play in week four but quite doubtful. Liam: Yeah, I don't think he's gonna play. Jamie: No, and obviously I'm going to end it with Mike Evans as well. After Liam: Say Mark Evans, yeah. Jamie: the Mike Evans sensational play that he did during the game, pretty much the stuff he was the opening touchdown, but he suffered a rib injury, carted off very Mike Evans in the last couple of seasons. Liam: Mate, he's on the OAP Niners, you know, the the O the OP team. Jamie: Yeah, exactly. yeah, he's also, he's already dealing with a hip injury, which isn't, you can't get more OAP diners than the, than that. And then, my Panthers have suffered, another injury, 15 now for the season. JC Horton's got a quad injury, he's out for seven weeks. Liam: Good fact from you before. How many starters are the Panthers down? Jamie: 15 starters. Liam: Crazy. Like you like like you said, you can you you're just struggling to play competitive football with the teams around you with that many injuries. So yeah. Jamie: Yeah, three of us three of us are starting O-Line and with the O-Line we spent a load of money and he's like well what can you do. Liam: Yeah, I mean, look at the struggles at Green Bay. That might be to the O-line, but here you go. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Panthers on the same path. Last one I'm gonna add to the list as well. Puka Nakua. What's going on? It's like it might be a hernia, it might be a hip injury, might be this thigh injury, it might not be anything. He might be playing next week, and it might be something, and you might need surgery. So again, Puka Nakua, that's a big one as well. I mean, we just at the at this rate. You know, fantasy is just the lottery. Autodraft. Autodraft. Jamie: It's just yeah, good luck. Might as well have at this point. Yeah. And obviously to the most injured player of all, Caleb Williams, grade two hamstrings here, you know, so he'll be back soon. Bless. Liam: Do think the do you think the weight of the memes turned it from a grade one to a grade two? Jamie: Yeah, think so. Yeah. Poor bloke, honestly. The thing is, he probably felt something tear, but obviously he didn't realize it was just a minor hamstring tear rather than like an ACL tear or rupture or something like that. That's the only thing I can think of. But yeah, wasn't the best of looks for him, but he'll be back soon anyway. So that's positive for the for the bears anyway. Liam: One would you rather? Would you rather have had an ACL tear like Jackson Dart and be out for the season? Or would you have loved or would not loved or would you have rather been crushed by memes on social media like Caleb Williams? What would you rather? Jamie: Jackson Dart all day every day. Liam: You'd rather be out for the season with an ACL. Maybe your career. Jamie: think so. At least he looks cool. He's going to be remembered for that, whereas Caleb Williams, for his whole career, no matter what he achieves, is going to be a meme for the rest of his NFL career. Maybe his life. Liam: And Jamie's all about the looks, ladies and gentlemen. So there we go. So yeah, cool. We've got one other bit of news coming out of New York, Big Blue, the Giants. They're trading for JJ McCarthy from the Vikings for a fifth round pick, which is crazy. Jamie: I can't believe, not only, well, because I love Jamie, who doesn't love Jamie's Winston, you know, but is he going to play? he just, I assume he's just going to back up, right? Like he can't be starting. Liam: I think they've got a roll with Jamers and then they're hoping that they've got an actual What will be a future backup quarterback in the league? That's the only thing I can think. They're two and one. They're they're backing themselves. Like the Cowboys Jamie: you Liam: are one and two. Washington are one and two. We'll see what happens with the Eagles in Monday night football. So if they lose, you know, they're gonna be joint record at the top of the division. They're just gonna back themselves to try and do something this year. Which I really rate, to be fair. Why not? J J McCarthy. Apparently he can't I think I think Hazai Lightly's nine, so he can't get nine if he goes if he goes from Minnesota to the to the Giants. Jamie: yeah. It is. I've just looked at his stats from last season. He's got a 1600 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 57.6 pass completion. Basically, Jamie's Winston are the Bucks. So with that sort of record, so maybe, maybe they're basically the same player. Who knows? Liam: Right, JJ McCarthy's a man of many faces and maybe yeah, Jameis is J Jameis is one of them. Jamie: It's potentially one of them, yeah. Liam: Cool. So that is it for the news. Without further ado, we're gonna jump into our game recaps for week three. So, first game up, Thursday night football, it's the Falcons playing in Green Bay. So I'm covering this one. Green Bay. Got owned. Green Bay let Bijan Robinson run all over them. The Atlanta running game destroyed Green Bay. We called it out in the preview show. You don't want to be having an O and two Falcons come into your place wanting to prove something with some stars that can do it, and then they come and like just Running up the gut, breaking tackles, running around you, running through you, and being a fight towards the end of the game. Turns out it wasn't even a fight. It was actually just an absolute battering by the Owen at that time, the Owen two Atlanta Falcons. Also, welcome back to Fantasy Drake London, who also had over a hundred and fifty yards. So, Jamie, have you got any comment on the game? Jamie: No, but I do on fantasy. I come up against in our group, Bichon and Drake London. So my weekend was already over on Thursday night football, which I think set up my phenomenal weekend of NFL action already knowing I'm going to lose in fantasy. It's nothing better than that. And just hoping that Scaboo has an amazing game, right? But obviously we'll catch him, he gets tackled by his own quarterback, but it's fine. Good win for the Falcons. didn't see that come in. maybe Stefanski and the offensive coordinate has realized, maybe we should use our talented defensive weapons to actually win games of football. That's a very good idea. there you go. Packers though look Liam: Yeah. Crazy. Jamie: packers look dreadful lost the last eight out of nine. they're not looking good. Liam: And I mean they scraped a win at the they scraped a win at the Jets and the Vikings really just own them in week one. Not looking good for Green Bay. They they're gonna be down there. They are down there. They're really down there. And you don't. I don't even think it's Jordan Love. So I'm not really sure. I think the wide receiver game has a bit been been a bit mixed up this year. So Okay, right on to the next game, Jamie. First one of the early slate. 6pm kickoff is in the UK. Panthers at the Browns. Jamie: Yikes. The mighty dog pound. Be the keep pounding. 21 18. Don't have to mention a referee. The officials I will mention Mason Graham's performance second year in Cleveland. You did think there may be Jared verse would be the main defensive player, but it's all Graham right yesterday. Four four solo tackles, two sacks, two tackles for losses. He was a monster. He was a, he was the difference maker in the end for the Cleveland Browns to win the game. Panthers, I think injuries just killed us. Jalen Coca couldn't, wasn't available basically for most of the game. had John Metchie catching passes. We had Darren Waller trying to, I mean, that last play of the game summed it up for us. We're like, we're trying to get Darren Waller to like run down the field and a 33 year old tight end, isn't going to be able to do that. and yeah, for some reason, the Cleveland Browns are like our weird bogey team. We've now we've lost them at home back in 2022, 26, 24. And then we go to Cleveland for their first time game. And the Sean Watson's made a play after a dubious decision that he gets and, Cleveland Browns took the lead late on and they, they beat the Panthers. Good team, good, very good team, the Browns. and that's all I've got. They are tied for Liam: I the- Jamie: first place. So that's something, isn't Liam: Yeah. mean, the Browns at the minute, two and one after that first week, who would have thought it? I I hate to say it to Sean's doing all right. Like he's just putting on the strings that he knows that he can. And there's young weapons are stepping up in a way that we've mentioned a couple of times, know, Fanon today played well. So the Browns disappointedly beating both of our teams. Jamie: Back to back weeks. Liam: And I think they're killing a lot of people's like, Akas as well. Like I think they're sinking a lot of ships, making a lot of money for the, the old, the old sports books. But. Jamie: mainly my aka every single week for the last as well for week two and week three so it's Liam: week two, week three. Yeah, yeah. I haven't got a lot to say about this. mean, like you said, who's Bryce, who's protecting Bryce? What's the, what's the running game looking like and who's he passing to? And Jamie: Yeah. Liam: I don't know. I mean, I'm asking you, I mean, is it just, it's just looking that bad, is it? Jamie: Yeah. Bryson Tremaine. mean, he's on our special teams. Like he's, he's not a, he's a special teams player. Right. And he's, he's catching, I think he called like the mo he called a 31 yarder as well. Literally 83 yards. He called for yes. on Sunday, Tony trend, mean, a top three of a, well, four of our top five receivers. Right. Aren't even wide receivers. You've got three tight ends. You've got a running back. got Bryson Tremaine who's taking not even a receiver realistically. So actually our main receiver, John Metchy, Jalen Coker, Tet McMillan, they had six targets or six receptions, right? Which is one less than Darren Wallah had. So yeah, bad game right off. We go again. Liam: So what odds are next week for the Panthers. mean, let's see, let's see if you Jamie: Yeah. Liam: could put out an NFL level team next week and the Jamie: Yeah, it works, yeah. Liam: Browns, mean, let's see what they're going to do. think they're going to, they look like they're probably going to beat. Probably sneak a win in, win to get to a couple of teams there. I see South. So I'm really, let's see what happens when they start playing more of these division games. Cause that's, that's not, that's not, that's not a great league to be in. I would say Jamie: No. Liam: so. Yeah. Cool, on to the next one. So it's me and I've got the Chargers playing up at the Buffalo Bills. playing in their gray uniforms, much spoken about, not the place you might thought I was starting. I don't mind the uniforms. Jamie: Yeah, Liam: Any take on that, Jamie? Jamie: I don't like them but it just doesn't it just didn't they don't look nice do they Liam: I don't mind them. That's all I'm going to say. think it's weird not seeing like an obvious Buffalo in the helmet, but you know, it's fine. The new stadium looks so good though. looks amazing. So anyway, that's the aesthetics done. Chargers uniforms generally quite nice. Again, very surprised. I think the Bills only got their first lead in the second half. Justin Herbert could play a bit of ball, you know, I think. They just got up early and they're just holding off the bills. The bills was just... I don't know what to say about them. They were just... They just didn't look like there's at the race. They just didn't look like the same team that's been about these last few weeks. And the charges may be underestimated. They're pulling all the weapons that we expect them to, you know, I think they're actually, they're actually converting a few more of their three and outs. If Quinton Johnson is catching the ball. I think he's a bit been a bit of a let down actually. I think Quinton, so Jamie: Queen's home. Liam: I think. I don't know. I think the charges. a slightly, slightly more resilient team comes away from that match up in Buffalo with a win. Yeah, go for it, sorry. Jamie: If you win, I was going to say, if you win the turnover battle, five one, and you still lose the game by a score, like there's something not quite right. The five turnovers the Bills had compared to Justin, there was one interception, no fumbles for the Chargers, three for the Bills, all lost and then two interceptions for Josh Allen. like imagine having five turnovers in the game and you still win it 24 16. Like there's something, I don't know about the Chargers. They just don't. I mean, Josh Allen's obviously a powerhouse, you he didn't even have a passing touchdown, but they just found a way to win. That's a sign of a good team in it really. Liam: Yeah, I mean, and then the Bills came up clutch when they needed to. I think like the Bills, they got their interception late and like they had a running game. Like James Cook is there to help your man out, I think. The Bills are maybe more human than I thought after that game. So yeah, nothing too exciting I'll go on to the next one, which is. Detectsons at the Colts. Jamie: Correct. When we did the previews, Liam decided to send them all the other way around to confuse us while we're doing the show. And I think you still got the other way around because I do as well. Liam: I've still got them. No, Jamie, they're going to be the old, they're going to be the other way around all season. Jamie: Fantastic. It's good. Good mental mass or mental mass. Anyway, Liam: Good Minute Maths. Jamie: Joe was good mental mass. The Colts hit a field goal with about 20 seconds left to win left to win this game. And you know yourself, 19-17 Texans go to Norton three to start the season. Shocker for them. Colts now one and two. Not much else to say about this one. We Texans don't run in game. They don't ever receive in game. They got a callback who can throw it, doesn't have anyone to throw it to. They were struggling on offense recently, the Texans, and they had this game. But Dan Jones just about made enough plays. Jonathan Taylor made enough plays and the Colts squeezed through. 1917. Exciting game. I've got nothing else to say about it. Liam: I mean, Daniel Jones turned up. They are, they're passing the ball about the Texans just got no juice. Have they like, where's that running game from week one gone? Like Montgomery three, like not the most dynamic runs, but that's the three touchdowns. And now he's just, you know, are people even going to start him next week? Again, who is CJ Stroud passing to? One thing I will say. interested in know if you agree with this. Do you think that the Texans defense is elite? Jamie: No, not anymore. This season that, know what, last season they could win games by themselves. This season they're doing everything. They are getting the ball back, but they're not, they're not winning games by themselves. They need complimentary football. And unfortunately the offense isn't allowing them to have that complimentary football enough time off the field as well. But yeah, I don't think it's not up there with the Seahawks, but Who knows if Cecile turned it anymore, but you know. But yeah. Liam: I mean, spoiler for the next game. But yeah, I think, I think, yeah, like if you told the Texans that the Colts are going to score 19 points with the defense that the Colts have been putting out this season so far, you're thinking, okay, they've probably scored more than we expected, but we should be scoring on this Colts Jamie: Definitely. Liam: defense. And I think if you're a Texans fan, you've just got to be a bit gutted. Like they spend the whole of this off season talking about how the offensive line's improved. We've got a new running back. all on the up. We've got the monster defense that we had from last year. it's just not clicking in Houston. So yeah. Anyway, well done to the Colts. They're coming now to the UK next week. Against the commanders, I believe. And I think it looked like it was going to be two and three teams. Now it's going to be two, one and two teams. And one of those teams is going to come away from London as a two and two team with a bit of hope. And that's quite, that's good. That's good. So that's a nice little narrative for London. So there we go. Cool. Onto the next game. it's the Seahawks at the Commanders. What can we say? Like, I mean, straight up. This is the upset of the week. This is the disappointment ball of the week. This is the game that ruined your accumulators. This is the game that knocked people out of their survivor leagues. The Seahawks rocked up and... Washington got on the scoreboard. Fine. Seattle got on the scoreboard. Normally a downtrodden team, that's when they start to folder. Okay, we gave it a bit of a shot, but maybe they're to come back at us. Instead, Washington keep coming back, keep coming back, keep coming back. And the Seahawks defense is not up to scratch. The Seahawks defense has let this team down. I obviously love the Seahawks defense, but If you've got, if you've got a team score over 30 points and they lose. What we saying? That's the defense not holding up his end of the bargain to me, Jamie. Jamie: Do not blame Sam Dynald at all for his two exceptions? in terms of game swing, momentum, you know, does Drew Lock, does Drew Lock allow that to happen? Liam: You know what this is This is a good question. What would Drew? Okay. What what do we think drew lock would have to do? Let's say if We just gave Druloc as much rope as possible until he lost. How many games do you think that Druloc would have had to lose? Not lose. How many games do you think Druloc would have to continuously win to not give the job back to Sam Darnold? Jamie: I think as soon as he lost one game, I think then you give it back to Donald. Liam: Sorry, but if he won 10 games in a row, do think you'd have given it back to Sam Darnold? Jamie: Nah. Liam: You wouldn't have. How about eight games? Jamie: No, no, no. I mean, I'm a Drew Lock super fan, so like, I don't think I've always loved Drew Lock. Let's just worry about him. I just, don't know, there's, know Sam Duck, right? I know this, he's on my, he's on my background right now, right? As as a Panther. He was, he was tragic. You know, knew, you know, he's 31 out of 45 completions, almost 380 yards. four passing touchdowns sounds amazing, but those interceptions were a killer times in terms of momentum swings coming back. I actually thought you had them when you, when you, think you got back to level, wasn't it? And I thought, he's just going to come in and just smash him up now. And then you're just going to run away with it. thought even, I thought Washington get into the, get into halftime ahead. I was like, okay, well that's, they're probably not going to score more than 17. think see what's make their adjustments. They'll limit them. And it just never happened. It was a Terry McLaurin caught an amazing catch. I'm like, thank Liam: Yeah. Jamie: he's finally, he just gave him the ball. He just makes things happen. He's such a talented wire receiver and does command has just, just kept punching. Liam: Yeah, mean, Sonny Styles showed up, like Sonny Styles got Jamie: Wow. Yeah. Liam: an interception. Welcome, Sonny. Like that is going, Washington fans are going to be like, this guy is sick. And he looked good coming out and we thought this was going to be it, but like that is a welcome game. Also, I mean, I also thought the Seahawks were going to have it at the end of the game. Washington get it back. Like Sam Donnell was like, he intercepts it. Yeah, fine, score. And then he just goes down the field and he's like, Bish bash bash and he is just like, like when Sam Donald's going, he's, he's just looking good. Do you know what I mean? Like he's got, he's got nearly 400 passing yards in this game, which is crazy. Like Marcus Mario didn't even have 200. So, you know, you know, it is those turnovers. You're right. And Sam Donald is killing it, but I don't know. I don't know. It feels like the it feels like the Washington team snuck one and yeah, like I said, end of the game, get the Washington need two first downs. And of all the plays Marcus Mario to get to the second first down with a nine yard run. And yeah, all I can say is like flowers to the commanders. So yeah. We'll see what happens next week. mean, not look, don't want to be the charges going to Seattle. Pissed off. Jamie: I thought that as well. You do not want to play whoever. I was, yeah, Liam: the charges. Jamie: I was taking my charge maybe and all you don't want whoever's playing to what was next. You don't want to be them. Don't play the next. No full well was going to be the charge. So yeah, Liam: AM. Jamie: you don't want to be going there away. That's a tough place to go. Liam: It is. So there we go. Right. Jamie, on to the next one. It's the Chiefs at the Dolphins. Jamie: An interesting one. was a bit of a slog for the Chiefs, I thought. I thought the Dolphins had a little bit more fight in them. I actually think this is the best the Dolphins are going to probably play this season. And they still lost 24-10. I think this is the Dolphins giving 100 % everything they had they left on the field. felt like defensively they did all they could, stopped my homes, made some plays. Offensively, you had some plays as well. HN gets injured as well. So, but the problem is, and it's a problem for the whole NFL, my homes, when he needs to deliver, delivers. And when you've got a weapon like Kenneth Walker, who gets a receiving touchdown and a rushing touchdown, it's a problem for the entire NFL. And so the Chiefs go three and O and the Dolphins go Norton three. said, tough game that I thought, I thought it would, the Chiefs would clear the Dolphins, but The dolphins are a little bit more competitive than I thought and I gave credit for, but it was always going to be chiefs and they, they got the job done away in Miami. Liam: Again, Dolphins play better than we thought. Like you said, it would have been good if A-chan hasn't gone out with his ACL for the season. There's some nice things to look at and you don't want to play against that Dolphins. Well, you do. Let's be real, you do. But if they had any more defense and a couple of other weapons, they look like there might be an okay team. Like Jeff Haftley, let's see what happens to him at the end of the season. Interested to see what happens now. Like is Ollie Gordon going to step up? Obviously going to be a bit of a fantasy, fantasy why wave a wire target just for the opportunity is going to be available to him now. yeah, like the dolphins were in this game until quite late until my home started clicking with some of his players downfield at Kelsey. So yeah, fair play to the dolphins, but easy win for the chiefs. Anymore on this one, Jamie? Jamie: Nah, not lucky dolphins. Liam: lucky fair play. said, it might be their best game of the season. On to the next one. It's with me. And we've got the Patriots down in Jacksonville. So I also like that Jamie's laughing because I've got it written the wrong way around every single time. Jamie: No, no, just there's something about me that just it really enjoys when the Patriots lose not when they just lose but they get battered I love it Liam: I mean, didn't they just and they're getting battered in the worst way possible as well. think they're getting battered because Drake May is playing terrible. He is not connecting. He cannot pass the ball. is, he is the new seeing ghosts, right? That's what he is to me. And Poor, poor Drake Bay, poor Patriots fans. This easy record you had last year it's making this look even worse, especially like playing like that injured bone X get like no bone X game. Like, it all just looks like it was a mirage. My Vabral is holding a press conference after the match. And he's saying like, we need to get our foundations right. And we need to start performing as a team and we need to start. Stop panicking. Yeah. And I mean, to be honest, the running game is not even really there for the Patriots, is it? So that's the negative. The positive is the Jackson, Jackson, Jackson, Jill, the Jacksonville Jaguars are a real team. Like defense pass rush Travis Hunter getting an interception. Bosch. There you go. He's a defender. Keep. Jamie: Do you know what I loved about that? The replay on the position thing they had WR next to his name when he's caught it in the end zone has a defensive back. I just thought that's brilliant. I want to just why not imagine getting intercepted by a wide receiver. That's fantastic. Liam: Yep. Your Drake, well, Drake May is playing that bad. yeah. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: The offense is rolling, know, A-chan, not A-chan. Jamie: He's gone. Liam: No, both A-chans are injured. No. Jag's running back. Beige to him. That's the one to to to Jamie: Tootin'. So there you go. Tootin'! Tootin'! Liam: to to to to to to to like the Jags are like just they're just showing up like they've got it. So yeah, Trevor Lawrence looks good as well. Like Jamie: What did you make of him just stopping on the one yard line so then someone else gets a touchdown? Liam: Well, read, sorry, I heard him talking about this. He just said he didn't really, he just wasn't paying attention to the time. Jamie: I don't believe that. Liam: So he just, he wasn't paying attention to the time. And then he made a joke of then saying, so it was basically just to pad out Bejel Tutin's fantasy stats. Jamie: Fair play, whoever's got... Whoever's got tootin'. Liam: The horse boy gives gifts. just loves a gift. The little horse. But yeah, I mean, what is not to love about this, this Jags team, like he's hitting his third progressions for touchdown passes. Some of the takes Parker Washington's taking in are looking amazing. You've got three solid good wide receivers. Great quarterback. Jamie: Jacobi Myers getting a touchdown on the Patriots again as well. Yeah. Liam: Exactly, so like... What I mean, yeah, you've got some manufactured touches for Travis Hunter on offense, but this Jags team are a real team. If it wasn't for an interception, they'd probably win that game away in Denver as well. And they've been winning a bit of a gauntlet themselves. So fair play, Jags looking good. Much more else to add on that one, Jamie. Jamie: No. The press conference, well, the press conference from Vrabel did seem a bit odd, I think, when he sort of said, like, I've got to pick all these boys up. We're in a really bad place. You think you've just lost the Super Bowl. You're in a really bad place. You don't want your quarterback is just fumbling stuff under no pressure whatsoever and letting everything fall out his own hands. Like it It's all going wrong in New England. Liam: I mean, talk about Panthers quarterbacks, that looked like that. What happened to Drake May on that play looks like what you expect Kenny Pickett in his little hands to do. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: But I've also never seen anyone ever do that. Jamie: It was impressive. couldn't, I did watch it about five or six times. like, as he, he must, it must've been deflected. He must've been knocked out of his hand, but just to let go, cause your hands are too small. Maybe you're sweating. Maybe he's right. Maybe seeing ghosts. Liam: Matt, he's sweating, he's seeing ghosts. So yeah. onto the next one. Titans at Giants, Jamie. Jamie: yes, this is like, what these are the types of games I love, right? Pouring rain, horrible place to play. No offense to New York, but it was just a bit of like a bit gritty, a bit of like a stalemate between two teams that a bit, you know, Titans we expect. I think we both went giants as well. This one finished 12, seven to the giants. You know, James Winston eats another dub. Love to see it. 12 out of 18. 117 yards, a tackle was well on the scouter. You know, it takes some stopping that man. like it's a sensational tackle from James Winston. He can do it all that man. And especially after the lights, obviously dark having being out, Brian burns being out, think they need to get wins on the board, do the giants and getting the Tennessee Titans at home. The next game after that is probably the perfect game to have. They did almost try and throw it away. Tennessee Titans made a little bit of a comeback fourth quarter, but then literally the last play of the game or second to last for the new down, Holland's plucked out a Campbell pass with 17 seconds left and they just about held on to be the Tennessee Titans 12-7. Not the best of games, but I love a bit of defensive grinding defensive football. And that's what I thought this game was. Liam: bit of grinding. fair, the what's it called? New York cancelled the Ironman in New York because how bad the weather was gutted for that. So like the weather was meant Jamie: Thank Liam: to really bad. So what I mean, a wet ball. I think nothing much to judge Cam Ward on playing away in horrible conditions or what like is what it is. It wasn't going to be high scoring. We said that the Giants traded for another quarterback now, backup quarterback with a fifth round pick, JJ McCarthy from the Vikings. I don't know if this was a good, because of the weather, I don't know if this was a good game to judge if you're a good team or not. I mean, I know you're two on what? Two and one, but that's all I'll say. I don't think either of these teams are brilliant, but fair play to the Giants, two and one. And yeah, let's see what you've both got next week in better conditions. So onto the next one. And that's going to be the jets at the Detroit lions. So great gay. Jamie: Mmm. Liam: My one now Jamie: Game of the week, you're gonna say almost. Liam: I think my game of the week was down in Rio. So not. not the game of the week, but it's one of the games of the week. And boy, these lions, they are, if you're a Lions fan, they're making you sweat. They're kind of what you wanted them to be and also not as well. They are putting up the points. Goff is clicking. He's hitting his targets. Amirarsane Brown showing up every week like you expect. You're also hitting, you know, getting a couple of slightly deep targets with Jameson Williams coming in a little bit more into the offense now. Jameer Gibbs. RB1. You're not upset, are you? When he runs out to the right, runs the counter out to the left. in for a touchdown, you see plays like that and you just think, this is our guy. Detroit putting up the point is no worries. The Jets. Why? They're looking okay. I mean, Aaron Jamie: Good. Looking good. Liam: go, yeah, what? Jamie's Jets. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Tell me, go on. Tell me something about it, mate. Jamie: No, just, Aaron Glenn has turned this team around into a functional competitive football team with pieces they slowly putting together. got, I know I can see the 31 points, but Detroit's tough place to go, but like solid defense, you know, and then offensively they got Gino Smith just making plays, not doing anything extraordinary apart from fumbling, but like he's not doing anything, you know. Liam: Well, but mate, this is the Geno Smith 31 pass attempts, sorry, 31 completions on 37 pass attempts. He's efficient. Jamie: Yeah. Yeah. Liam: He's making Garrett Wilson look good again. Jamie: Didn't Gary Wilson go that he went down injured, he? Liam: I mean, yeah, I think he did, I don't know how serious it is or have any comment on it. So not much to say on that one from me, but. I think the big thing take away from this game is we know what the Lions are. We also know what they're not. And they're not a team that can shut down the pass. They've got, you know, open airspace. And I think, unfortunately, this is what's happening to the Lions this year. If they can't fix something in the back, are they going to be able to challenge for the Super Bowl? I don't think so. Jamie: don't think they are either. I don't know if they're even in the second tier of challenges. I think they're like seventh. well, yeah, seventh going into the blouse. Basically there'll be a way in the wild card. And I think that's probably the best they can probably achieve this season. Liam: Yeah, I mean, you've got Jameer Gibbs, like he's like over 160 yards through touchdowns, but you need to just get one or two stops because they can't do it. Jamie: How did he honestly, Jermia Gibbs is phenomenal. Like there was plays that like he just, he was being tackled, he was being stopped. And then all of a sudden he just popped out and just got, gone around the edge on the left-hand side to put a touchdown in. You think like, what? Liam: Bill different isn't he? Jamie: Wow. Liam: On to the next one. Jamie, it's the Bengals at the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jamie: Can I quote Tom Brady on this one? I think it's probably like the piss missile off of the, of the NFL this Sunday. Liam: The piss missile off. Jamie: You had, you had unbelievable plays across both. You had three punts in the game, right? Total three punts. First half, only one punt between these two teams. First quarter, they just go in touchdown for touchdown for touchdown. You think like, wow, seven plays, bang, touchdown for the Steelers. 15 plays back from the Bengals. Steed has come back with a 13 play touch and you think like we've got a proper game and he just carried on. Obviously then Rogers gets that. interception and then Bengals hit back with a touchdown. Great first half 17-17 you're thinking same again please. Love it. Third quarter Bengals hit with a field goal. Rogers goes have this 24-20 up loving it. I love an Aaron Rogers. This is what I want to see from Roger's use every single weapon you've got right. To the fullest extent and he basically that fourth quarter was a bit of a mess. A bit of a shambles. Bengal started off well. Then you had a punt, filled gold, punt, filled gold again for the Steelers. They just about got enough points to win this game. Fumble at the end, put a Bengal, sealed it for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I really thought, I really thought the Bengals were going to go there and win. I didn't see anything of the Steelers, how poorly they played against the Falcons and still won, guess, Liam: Losing to the Patriots. Jamie: losing, losing to the Patriots of all teams as well. And then somehow they pulled out another win against the Bengals back to back. Obviously they beat them 34-12 last time these two teams played. So it's a great win for, for the Steelers and for Aaron Rodgers. And it's the first time when I saw Rodgers, I'm thinking almost 300 yards. He's using. All of his receivers met calf, got a couple of catches. Fry move was involved. Warren was involved as well. Partisan game. And then you had Washington get, get almost 60 plus yards. You know, he was just spreading the ball around. Even rushing turned up Jalen Warren hitting 120 plus yards. Complementary football on for the, for the Pittsburgh Steelers and offense. And, yeah, it's a good win for the Pittsburgh Steelers. And I think a really bad one for the Bengals. to lose. Liam: me. The, the Bengals offense is there. You know what, it's that defense that they've been relying on the first two weeks that didn't show up. And I suppose that goes to the expectation of what they built where their defense showed up for them for two weeks. And now we're like, they're a balanced team. And now they've jumped back. They've sort of jumped back to what they was, I think, like last year, what you expect. Like this, was an open door for the Aaron Roger Steelers. I mean, Jamie: Yeah. Liam: you mentioned it, like to throw a spanner in the works. Aaron Rodgers was running a bit. He can move 40 plus and moving. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Let's hope all of our knees are there at that point. But like, you know, fair play. mean, my, think one of my favorite players to watch is T Higgins and what an amazing catch he had. He's not like my Clash of the Week, but yeah, I love, I love those wide receivers on the Bengals, but fair play. This NFC North. This AFZ North. Thank you, Jamie. Jamie: Correct. Yeah, well done. Liam: is looking spicy. Like, I don't know. I'm not picking anyone at the minute. Like, I know we made our picks at beginning of the year, but. AFC North Spicy. Jamie: for competitive teams. Liam: It's like, it's like it's a balanced division with a well calculated schedule. Onto the next one. And it is, dear, it's the Vikings down in Tampa. you know what? Not much to say about this one. It was actually a terrible game. Baker looks bad. Kyler looks bad. like the amount of three and outs, I think there's a series where there's like nine punts back to back. And I think there's a series where the Bucks had, there was one field goal in the middle, but I think there was four three and outs either side of that. or at least punts. so both defense is actually bringing the blitz rate. You know, the Brian Flores defense is just. He's shown that he might be bringing the most potent defense in the league to places this year. And he's got to be looking to get a head coaching job next year. We've said this. That being said, the Todd Bowles defense showed up without two of its two of its main players, Ruben Bayne, Trotter would like, you know, struggling and injured. So that defense did show up against the Vikings team that has actually been doing some bits. I can't see Kyle and Murray start in as the quarterback until the end of the season if he carries on like this. I think he's not a traditional quarterback and he can't just sit in the pocket. He had quite a well-protected pocket. I think he likes to be on the move and having like his stability on the go and having a solid run game and the Vikings running backs are all injured and struggling at the minute. So that being said, the Vikings got a win whilst playing terrible. The Bucks are playing terrible. They're 0-3. that really doesn't look like much hope for the books and Bakemafield is going to be out for another three weeks now. So looks like it's going to be this young looks okay quarterback out of Kansas, but let's be real. Books are looking in the bin and it's not looking great. Jamie: You're not like in a better mood at a Todd Bowles press conference. went, don't worry. We're only one game back. We've got work to do, but we're only one game back. You don't feel like, yes, Todd, let's go. We've got no quarterback. We've got a quarterback who's made three attempted passes and he's not actually complete one. got intercepts. Well, he actually, he has completed one just to the Vikings. So I guess that's the standard. Liam: Yeah, that was, to be fair, he basically just thrown a Hail Mary, so like he came in right at end of the game. But I mean, Baker, just like what I mean, I love Baker. Like when he's on a little scramble, how good when he's on those little scrambles. But I just need him to protect himself a little bit more. You just know that this is coming. You just know it's coming. So yeah, not much to say. Could Baker have got rid of the ball? I mean, Egg Booker as well. I had him as my don't start in fantasy. I mean, he had, he had about. eight, nine points depending on your format, but he's not turning out to be what you hoped this year at the minute. Jamie: Yeah, it's not looking good for Tampa. Liam: Not looking good in Tampa. Jamie with you. It is the Cardinals at the Fine Wine 49ers. Jamie: Fine, Wines are on a roll. 3-0, top of the NFC West. But, what a game. Fair play. Do know what? I wrote off the Cardinals at my own peril. At the start of the third quarter, think, cool, 49ers go up, I think it was in 20, 23-6, you think, game over. With the system QB they've got, they're just gonna steamroll it, get enough points and they'll win the game. But then, the Cardinals just... just come back. come back at the end of the third quarter start the fourth. They got back to back touchdowns. The touchdown for the full course. He seven plays nine yards, got the touchdown there. But then obviously the 49ers, the fine wine has come back. They go up again. Then Cardinals come straight back. You thinking, maybe there's something, something here. And then obviously the 49ers score again. I get a feel though. You think maybe, maybe we have the Cardinals coming back. obviously there was no time and that was it, And they lost this game at 36-30 to the OAPs. But you know what? Jacoby Brissette, 52 passing attempts for my boy. He's got all the money in the world now and he's just like, you know what? I'm just going to use my arm. I don't care. Do I want to rush it? might let it. You know what? It's mens week. Liam: And let it rip! Jamie: He lets it rip, right? 208 yards, 73 % completion. two touchdown passes, no interception, clean game. You see those stats, think the Cardinals have done it. They've won it. But they missed the system QB can only complete 55 % of his passes. Four of those completions were bloody touchdowns. He's got four touchdowns out of 15 completions. Four of them are passing touchdowns. McCaffrey looks good. Annoyingly looks good. I thought he was past it. Doesn't he? Liam: He does look good. Does the McCaffrey looks like he's going to do it again this season again. He doesn't look like injury aside. mean, McCaffrey also Jamie: What a player. Liam: love the Shannon. The hook and ladder plays. They need to bring more of these into the NFL. know, little, little fro to Debo goes a length. I think there was a stat first player ever to score a passing touchdown where he had no receiving yards. in a match because a lateral isn't classed as a receiving. yards for the Jamie: He. Liam: player that catches the lateral. Jamie: Yeah, he got zero receptions for 80 yards, something stupid like that. Liam: Yeah, it's not a scuragami, it's another one. It's a statagami. Statagami. Jamie: Yeah, Stata Gami, stat that. Liam: So yeah, mean, Debo's looking revitalized there. Love that for him. Jamie: Devo looked quick by the way. Liam: Yeah, he is looking quick. I mean, fair play to him. And then yeah, Brock Purdy, great scrambling. I'm hearing he's like, you'll like this analogy and you'll see why. He is almost looking a little bit like last year's Baker-Beyfield. getting the MVP chance. What could go wrong? Jamie: I can't... well, I've dislocated thumb probably. I can't see. I can't have MVP Brock Perth. Imagine that. Liam: Mr. Irrelevant to MVP would be a cool thing to have on a CV. That, Jamie: That's a Netflix series right there, isn't it? Liam: it get that right, onto the next one. it's the Ravens. The Dallas Cowboys played in Rio. First of all, probably the best international game ever. What a game for those people down in Brazil. Loads of Cowboys fans, loads of NFL shirts, In the stadium. What a game. To and fro, to and fro. Cowboys bought their running game. The Ravens wasn't really stopping. Jovante, he had a great game. Saman at the side. think Derek Henry had an amazing game, got two touchdowns. Lamar's running around. He's hitting Bateman. He's hitting Zay Flowers. Dak is peppering. George Pickens and CD Lam. You're seeing balanced offense going up and down. And then... You've seen a couple of stops, so they make a really big stop. The Cowboys do on their line. They stopped Derek Henry from rushing it in. Then they go the full length. There's a really dubious pass interference called on CD Lam and the defender. Dak doesn't quite throw it high enough. CD Lam turns around and to me, he affects the defender who was on, he pulls his arm out of the way instead of allowing him to intercept it. So it's batted down. The pass interference is called on the defender. They then go to the one yard line and they get a touchdown. you know, you get to the where you're drawing and I believe Lamar gets it back with seven seconds on the clock, eight seconds on the clock. That would change the narrative. He launches, he gets time. He launches it down. as a flowers and he calls timeout he's aware to call it immediately. The ref is like, yes, that was just before it went to zero. Tyler loop kicks the field goal and instead of going to extra time, it's on the zero field goal for the win from about 57 yards and it was what I just thought was going to extra time. what a game. Dak Dallas offense looks amazing. But so does the Ravens anime. What can you say, Jamie? What? Best game of the year so far. Jamie: And I missed it. I think this might be one that I actually need to go rewatch the highlights for. But I literally just looking at the play by play and like you said, I mean, seven seconds to go. He's launched it 27 yards and Tyler loop. mean, he he missed the field goal to kick the Ravens out of the playoffs last season. Some redemption at least 56 yarder hopefully makes him feel a lot better compared to what happened at the end of last season. But a great win for the fourth and third team of the season. Liam: Mate, fourth and T, they're just, they're looking good, aren't they? And you know what Lamar is looking good. I think Lamar, Dak, think we know he's good. Lamar, think we just have this really high ceiling expectation on and he just looked silky. Lamar when he breaks out and the way he passes just looks so good. Onto the next one. And it's Jamie's Raiders down at the New Orleans Saints. Look at the smile Jamie: man, Liam: on his face. Jamie: do I, do you know what cheers me up after the Panthers lose? It's seeing NFC South teams lose as well. So we, know it's like cool, right off week we'll go, we'll get to week four. Do you know what mean? And Kerco chains, the boy delivers. He's one of my favorite players that, well, since I've been watching the NFL, he's just aging beautifully this season. I did think Mendoza might actually play. think, start the season. thought, okay, Kirk cousin started. He's kind of cut like five weeks maximum. Look a bit dodgy. Then they're bringing Mendoza right now. You don't play Mendoza a second Kirk. Her cousins, you know, 22 completes that 33 almost just shy of two 50 yards, three passing touchdowns, no interceptions, 120 pass a rating or quarterback rating. It's just looking good. the Raiders and and you know what the Saints had it in them as well Tyler Shucks looking good 29 out 42 20 50 yards himself four passing touchdowns and that interception as well but damn what a game 35 27 Las Vegas Raiders the tide for first place in the AFC West 3-0 after three weeks what's going on the Las Vegas Raiders Loved it. Liam: The Raiders. I mean, yeah, like this we said last week that both of these teams are just drawing you in a red zone and you go, I actually want to watch these. And Jamie: Yeah. Liam: it's actually really cool. like you said, Kirk is making a really good team out of this Raiders offense. Brock Bowers came back and looked amazing by the way. Wow. Jamie: What a comeback that was. Woof. Liam: I mean him and Martin like Mhyres at the tight end like, wow. like so good. then you've got like, mean, you mentioned before, obviously Besh got injured, but you've got Trey Tucker. He's taken a nice little role in the offense. You've got Gentie doing his thing. Got Washington, Jr. the backup running back. He's getting big plays. I think he had a touchdown call back. Like that was a good breakout run. Yeah. Raiders looking good. I mean, the Saints didn't look bad either. Let's be real. Like the Saints are looking good. There's a couple of mistakes and the saints and this, this game could have flipped. What I'm taking away from it is that this is one of the better game, this not better game, but this is probably like the unexpected bowl. Like these are two Jamie: Yeah. Liam: teams that probably both deserve to kind of be three and O and be like considered top teams in the NFL. And they played each other, which meant that the Raiders come out on top. All I'm thinking is if Mendoza is going to be good. He's coming into a good situation, isn't he? Like when Kirk gets injured or when Kirk moves on, gosh, he's going to have a good time with this team, especially if they get better. So. Jamie: Yeah, and they can only get better and that when he's saying you get weapons back the O-line looks I mean it looks good enough for Kirk Cousins to be in the pocket so like if that's good enough for Kirk Cousins it's good enough for the not very mobile quarterbacks so Mendoza is going to fit in quite well but I think that you know I think Liam: Exactly. Jamie: you know the plan is obviously just to sit in for the season and then see where he is next season. Liam: Yeah, I think so. I mean, they've said that we always just think who's going to actually do that. But yeah, there we go. The Raiders. mean, I want to shout out as well, Dean. there's that new quarterback, the rookie quarterback for the Raiders getting all those interceptions. Jamie: Masses? Liam: Masses. That's it. masses. What a name. Masses. Jamie: What's his first name? Liam: So yeah. Anyway, Raiders players intercepting. It's just cool. It's just cool. Anyway, on to the next one. Last game we're reviewing this week and it's the Rams up at mile high in Denver. And Jamie, when I say I'm smug, we know that we love. An NFC South loss when it's not the books and the Panthers, but I love a lot. love a Rams loss. And this one felt extra sweet. I mean, the Rams first half, I think it was 16-0, nothing. And then the Galacticos themselves ended up losing this match. 30 points to 26. The Denver Broncos come alive in the second half and Bonyx is just. pinging it about, he's not got a running game. The Broncos don't have a running game at the minute this year, but then Bonyx is throwing it about. He is really efficient at getting to his third read. So he's looking for Waddell, he's looking for Sutton and he's looking for Pat Bryant. And he just is going, he gets to that third read and you need your third best cover player on that play. to be beating their third best receiving option. And I don't know if if, if Boeniks can keep processing and get protected that well, that is a hard thing to stop. They're going to be putting up points. and ultimately that Broncos team just completely ground down the Matt Stafford offense of the Rams. I think. That home field advantage you mentioned it is very real. then Hefanga getting a couple of interceptions just. Yeah. Just put a bell on it and you know, Matt Stafford under pressure at the end of the game away at that stadium. Couldn't quite get it done. Does that mean the Rams are bad as much as I'm being smug? I don't think so. I think this Denver team at home is just a beast. Jamie: I think that the Rams were stolen a victory here. I think the interception they should have been given in the fourth quarter with about a minute to go before the Broncos got their go ahead was an interception. The passer interference probably could be up there with one of the worst I've seen because the offensive players pulling defensive player defensive player still catches it despite the passing interference from the offensive player. on him, but he gets away with it, gets his passing interference, Bohnix then gets the touchdown. as you said, Matt Stafford was close. He was hunting that end zone right at the end. And he sort of thought, maybe, maybe he's got it. He's got the weapons. He's got it in him. But the Broncos defense just stepped up and they love winning one score games. They love it. Liam: That's it. We said this about Brock last year, like they got all these one scuttle game wins. I just think, keep, Brock, it's Bo, I think it's just Bo's thing. Bo Nix is just, he blows hot and cold. He's going to keep going through the hot, through the cold. And I think that means he's in every game and he could lose every game, but you got to be in it to win it. So I think one thing I want to add as well, obviously Pukinuku is out. Devante Adams has been really great, but from a fantasy perspective, I don't want anything else in the rams apart from the running backs, obviously, but I think everyone was tipping Henderson, but Higby obviously got the touchdown. You then also got, Mumfield. It's going to touch down. I mean, you've got all these things going on and it's just like nothing's actually stood out in a reliable, regular way. So for me, I'm actually not trying to touch any of these other offensive weapons for the Rams in fantasy as well. So yeah, well done. The Broncos that Stella Home is really playing out for you. So yeah, that is our wrap up of week three games. We're going to that Monday Night Football, which is Eagles at the Bears on our preview show on Thursday. Then next, we're going to go into our wild card review, not wild card, our wild take review. So Jamie, what was your wild take of the week? Jamie: bills to put 60 plus on the charges and they managed 26 and they looked Liam: 26. Jamie: with five turnovers. Wasn't my best, wasn't my best shout, but at least the team I said would score 60 would win. Liam: Which I suppose is that throw, is that throw over to me? Jamie: That is, yeah. Liam: Yes. So my wild take was Seahawks to win by 50 and to have three takeaways. I think they had zero takeaways. I think they had zero deceptions and they had, well, they scored what? Jamie: To be fair, scoring wise, you know. Liam: They scored, you know, what was it? 31. Jamie: 31? Yeah. Liam: I mean, yeah, not 50, not winning by 50. And when I said win by 50, I meant like Washington have zero. See, Jamie: 70-20. Okay, yeah. Liam: see, always have 50. So yeah, pretty bad on our wild takes off the week. So we'll do our next predictions. in the preview show. to the next section. We're going to pick our fancy wave wire pickups of the week, starting with Jamie. Who are your two pickups of the week? Jamie: So, main pickups, Get Jamie from the Lions wide receiver game. Get Mr. Williams because he is playing up against no cornerbacks for the Panthers. I can name. I think he's playing Sha Smith Wade some awful safety is one of the worst players I've seen for the Panthers in. since Dante Jackson who somehow still got an NFL career for the char, well he plays for the char, just makes sense. But then you've got, yeah, I just, people were dropping him. He wasn't getting the numbers and I think he's gonna, I think he could run riot on Sunday night football against my Panthers. So that's my, that's my pick up right there if you've got someone. Liam: Have you got any running backs Jamie? Jamie: did I run him back? Liam: You did have a running back. I don't want to steal him from you. So I'm going to let I want to go. I'll, I'll throw my, I'll throw my wide receiver in. So my wide receiver to pick up is going to be Pat Bryant. I mentioned him in the Denver game. He is that he is that third or second read on most plays, but he is also out there for most offensive snaps. He's only being picked up in like less than 20 % of the leagues. and bone nicks processing at the speed that he does, he is going to keep finding him in matches, especially the more comfortable he gets. So my wide receiver pickup is going to be Pat Brian. I'll jump to my running back pickup of the week as well. Mine's a bit rogue, but I'm going to go for Brian Robinson, the backup running back for the Atlanta Falcons. If they can keep that kind of running offense. up might be hard because obviously there's playing Green Bay, but it was away. Not a nice place to go looking where they've come from, but he's the handcuff for Bigeon Robinson. So obviously if there's any injuries there, he's got massive upside. But at the minute, if you're really struggling for running back, I think he's got a little bit of in-game script built in for him as well. Jamie: I'm glad you did George, I've just remembered what we discussed pre show is Ollie. Liam: Perfect. Jamie: It's Ollie Gordon, the dolphins. Liam: Thank Jamie, well remembered. Jamie: There you go. It's the, obviously Devon H turns out for the season. Somebody's probably going to get a lot of usage. Now is Ollie Gordon for the dolphins, although they're not in three. Maybe people won't pick him up because they're not in three. So he's probably going to be available on most fantasy. our waivers so i'd say he would be a waiver target he's going to get a lot of usage so i think he's the he could be the one Liam: It might be there running back one target. Onto our last segment. Our last segment is winners and losers of the week. So my winner of the week this week, it's a two way one. First is the Denver Broncos. Well done. You're cementing that home field advantage. You're looking good. Like who wants to go there now? You've beaten the Rams and the Jags in back to back weeks. closed games, but you're pulling that out. You are my winning team of the week. You are my winners of the week. The Denver Broncos. My other sneaky winner of the week though, is the Blitz defense. Brian Flores, bringing the defense. He was, he blitzed at 77 % rate in week two and he's getting the wins. Three and O, Brian Flores, well done. That is my other winner of the week. Jamie: My one of the week is also not Brian Flores, but the Vikings in general, they're playing the first three games without an actual proper caliber quarterback. And they're finding ways to win games. Right. Obviously had Carson Wednesday. They've now got rid of J.J. McCarthy. They've got Kyle Murray, who's, you know, we know just looks just abnormal in the pocket. Probably can't see over the O line without a step ladder, but that could be the issue. So maybe if we get him like heels next game, might be able to see over them. but overall though, he's led the Vikings to a win away from home, mainly piggybacking off the defense, but the Vikings three and O and I think I don't see anyone else winning that division than the Vikings so far. Liam: Fair play. So Jamie, who are your losers of the week? Jamie: There's many there's maybe could pick one of our three teams But I'm picking a team that I think has got more questions from head coach offseason issues In Mike variable in Drake, maybe your franchise quarterback who now just looks like Zack Wilson You know I'm seeing wide receivers gone for four to six weeks, AJ Brown, the defense isn't redoing anything against the, against the Jags. It's clearly the Patriots, think are finished. And I think they got battered this week by the Jags. They could finish third in their division behind the Jets. That's the level that we're going for. And yeah. I think if you've built your team around his franchise QB and it turns out he's actually not very good, it's quite funny. Liam: AJ Brown's gonna be fuming. When he comes back to this, wow. Jamie: any I mean damn Liam: Also, Drake May, double down on it. Biggest fantasy disappointment of the year. Jamie: seven turnovers on the year. Liam: It's actually crazy. I think six interceptions aren't they as well? Jamie: Yep, and a fumble. Liam: Posh. Wow. Cool. My big loser of week. Jamie, kills me to say it, but they're my beloved Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The poor boys. mean, they are just battered. They are just, they're now battered and injured. Their number one pick in the draft is out. Their number one quarterback is out. They're looking, ugh. Jamie, they just, what do want to say about these bookeneers because Jamie: You got you still got you got Vita Vea or one year deal. Thirty million dollars. What a signing. Liam: I rate that deal. Jamie: Top bows. Liam: Mate, I think, you know what? I think it's the most underrated position in football. Even more so than linebacker. No stackle. Bosh. Anyway, the Bucks are my loser of week. It's looking bad. We say we don't know when the Titans are going to get a win or Miami. I think, I think I've got to say the same about the Bucks. Jamie: Can I give you some positivity for the box? Liam: Jamie, that's gonna be it. Give me some positivity to end this part. Jamie: That's what we need. think you're tired. The second off six, six against the Vikings. That's good positivity. And you're only one game back. You're only one game back. It's the NFC South. We're going to, whoever wins the NFC South this season, it will be another losing record. I guarantee it. Liam: That's it. You know what I think about this one game back as well. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: When they said one game back, it's one game back off the third place team. Jamie: The one game back, yeah, but off top. Liam: No. Jamie: Top, top spot in two. Liam: And the panthers wanted to. Jamie: Yeah! Liam: I got you to admit it. They're rubbish as well. Thank you, Jamie. And we'll finish the pod on that. The NFC South is it's actually a bloodbath and it's the best league in football. Jamie: It's underrated. Liam: There we go. Right. Jamie. It's been a good pod. Jamie: Yeah, every pod we say, especially with we've been ill for the last couple of weeks, we're tired and we're like, you know what, let's make this one a quick one. And every week we go, let's make it the longest. So we made it longest again for the listeners. Liam: We, we've had a couple of technical areas of this one, mainly my, my laptop decided to take off and go to space. So now about the police who've had the ghost and now Jamie: Yeah. Liam: we've had a spaceship ride in the Jamie: Yeah. Liam: middle of the pod. So yeah. Right. Anyway, come on the books, come on the NSE South. Thank you for listening to our podcast.
