Putin visits disputed Kuril Islands for first time
Russian media reports say President Vladimir Putin has visited the Far Eastern Kuril Island of Iturup. Russia and Japan are involved in a territorial row over the island, which Japan calls Etorofu, and three other islands off Hokkaido.
