- 0:00Trending, trending, trending, Good morning, six o'clock. Here is what
- 0:05you need to know. Forty year old Vernon Hohole is on the run after
- 0:11a leading police on the chase and driving his car through the bike race on
- 0:14Monday. They've since found his car, but they're still looking for him,
- 0:17right, or say they're so thankful that nobody got hurt, But that is
- 0:20so scary. Wait where did you ride it through a bike race? Yes?
- 0:23Because it's Spargo Marathon week. So on Monday night they had their cyclothon
- 0:27and he was driving through there. Okay, you hear that happening more than
- 0:31it should, I know you to be clear, she happened zero times?
- 0:35Yeah, never, Yeah, that's a number. Well, I hope they
- 0:37get the guy right. You know, I really loved me DJ Tanner back
- 0:43in the day on Full House. But do you like anybody less? Oh
- 0:47gosh? Canice Cameron Beret admitted that she has never tried Taco Bell, and
- 0:53she also says she has not had fast food in two decades. She says,
- 0:58with the exception of in and out Burger is never she goes on Instagram
- 1:02like I just feel like you're opening yourself up she goes. Some days,
- 1:04I just wonder what a burger and fries from, like McDonald's or Burger King
- 1:08or Wendy's or any of those places that I've never eaten with taste like And
- 1:12no, I've never had taco bell or anything similar adding and I do not
- 1:18regret it, and you cannot convince me otherwise. And then there were Internet
- 1:22urals that found a picture of her in the drive through of Chick fil A
- 1:26house seeing a sandwich with her daughter back in two and twelve, which is
- 1:30just funny to me. But but she's trying to prove she's lying about it.
- 1:33That's just just be better than us, is that what it is.
- 1:36That's what's rubbing me wrong. I'm like, girl, you're missing out,
- 1:40Like, get yourself a big mac. You might just be happier. Yeah,
- 1:42you know, you know I spent about half of my life in the
- 1:45McDonald's drive through. Yes, I'm able order pickup now, but no,
- 1:49it doesn't make you a bad part. I'm a bad guy. But it's
- 1:51not because of that, you know. So it's just why would you bring
- 1:55that up other than to look down upon us common folks. I think she
- 1:59wants attention and a teacher has been praised for a creative approach in learning math.
- 2:06I'm not a math girl. I would have loved back in the day
- 2:09for my teacher to do something like this. So he's gotten viral on TikTok
- 2:13after rewriting Taylor Swift's Shake It Off to include multiplications. In turn, Swifty,
- 2:19she's gonna lose her mind. That's a good idea. Are you ready
- 2:22for this? I saw this on It's silly. Here we go, they
- 2:45do. We all know how to account by eight? Yet I mean that's
- 2:50so cute. I mean, imagine being young and that's what your teacher.
- 2:54You haven't been learning math by Taylor Swift songs? Is that just me?
- 3:00What else do you learn via Taylor Swift lyrics? A lot? Yeah,
- 3:02her love life, relationships pretty much all of it interesting. How's that going
- 3:08well? I haven't been in a relationship with high school so she's a little
- 3:12bitter, much like Taylor from listening to the music for so long. Weatherwise,
- 3:16today, it's gonna be great sunshine high of eighty three. There is
- 3:20a chance of some showers for the overnight basically until Friday, but looking ahead
- 3:23at our forecast for the weekend. It's looking great. Well, it's Pike
- 3:25and Amanda in the morning, day number three, and as we're just obviously
- 3:29hearing, I don't know a lot about you, interned Gracie. Learning more
- 3:31every day, but I think we still need to learn more about each other.
- 3:34A maan, I know you. Yeah, a lot, real good.
- 3:37But let's do another icebreaker. Okay, some fun questions for you guys,
- 3:39and we'll do it in nine minutes. Today's variety, Big ninety eight
- 3:45point seven. All right, so it's day number three of Pike and Amanda
- 3:49in the morning going swimmingly. I think, yeah, but we're still getting
- 3:52to know each other. In turn, Gracie, are you there? Isn't
- 3:54you? Yeah, she's there. We're here, intern Gracie, I know.
- 3:58Okay, so you're a big swift. You are not in a relationship.
- 4:02Nope, that's about it. And I know you like as of today,
- 4:04I know you like Jean Jackets. Yeah, I love the Jean Jackets.
- 4:10Do you know she is a merch girl? You did learn that the
- 4:12other day. Like, she's a girl that goes to any concert. First
- 4:15one at the concert by the way, usually up by the stage, and
- 4:17then always buying the entire merch table. Yeah, that's incredible. Well I
- 4:23can't wait for you to be at the next LS show, which stands for
- 4:26a low stand. Yeah, I got that. I gathered that once.
- 4:29You're a big fan, that's what you abbreviate it. All right, So
- 4:31here's some icebreaker question. We're gonna get to know each other a little round
- 4:33table. All right, First up, we'll start with you, intern Gracie.
- 4:36What are you hilariously bad at? Probably nothing, right, yeah,
- 4:44nothing. Would you like me to answer this? First? Math and riddles
- 4:48guys? Oh yeah, are you still bad at riddles? Still bad at
- 4:51riddles? Yeah? Not a big fan of them. I remember. Yeah,
- 4:55the years I was here, I never heard you solve one. To
- 4:58be honest, and I'm not being mean, it's just true. Oh yeah,
- 5:00they're just they're not my thing. Um, backing up in a car
- 5:04like, oh, in a car even like no like no, like like
- 5:09I can like back myself out of something, but like if you if you
- 5:12had me like back into a parking space, yeah no, can you parallel
- 5:15park? Nope? I did that when I took my driver's test in that
- 5:18So you're just kind of a bad driver overall. Put me as a great
- 5:23driver and out it okay? Good you know, by the way, we
- 5:25are live on Facebook. Good morning to Corey Renee and David Up, and
- 5:29I'd appreciate it. Guys. I'm like, weirdly good at parallel parking,
- 5:31and I'm not good at hardly anything. So maybe i gotta take you onto
- 5:34the parking wilenes Up. We'll get y'all trained in here we go. All
- 5:39right, what's like the weirdest food combination that you enjoy? Weird things you
- 5:44like to put together? Oh, like pickles and mayonnaise. Just one of
- 5:47my new favorites is goat cheese and strawberries. Goat cheese and anything would be
- 5:51weird. What are you doing? Just so I'll goat cheese, actually,
- 5:56honeygoat cheese, just a little slice of it and put it on strawberry,
- 6:00Gonna make a little sandwich. And they're so good. I have to try
- 6:04that. It's a dumb question. But what does the cheese come from a
- 6:08goat? Or is that just like Bisenburger? Sa, No, but Bisenburger
- 6:13comes from I'm thinking of buffalo wings, not actual I'm like, if you're
- 6:17really pulling in the man to hear, but settle down. Its seriously,
- 6:23you got a weird food combo. Gracie. Um, I don't know if
- 6:26it's weird, but I like the grilled cheese and ketchup like I did.
- 6:31People overdoing it with the ketchup. Just stop with the ketchup. What do
- 6:35you put ketchup on burgers, hot dogs and French fries? And that's it.
- 6:40That's it. Yeah, all right, don't be weird? All right?
- 6:42What's something you're kind of snobby about? Anything? You're kind of I
- 6:47mean people, people. Money is like people who like like to bring down
- 6:59and yes, this is gonna bring all the swifty side of me again,
- 7:00but like those people who like to bring down Taylor Swift because if you were
- 7:03to look at the statistics overall being a musician, she is one of the
- 7:10top people. It's not even opinion anymore. Studies show that Taylor Swift studies.
- 7:17Oh that's great. See I was going totally different. I'm like,
- 7:20I'm really snobby when it comes to Q tips. You don't get a generic
- 7:25you don't get a generic Q tip. Don't buy those great values, No
- 7:29you don't. What is the difference? No, they like pop up.
- 7:31It's just I don't do generic in certain things. That's like literally Q tip
- 7:35is one of them. I mean if you would have said, like generic,
- 7:38I don't know, deodorant, I'd give it to you. But like
- 7:41Q tips, yeah, Q tips, you don't mess with them. Just
- 7:44not cleaning your ears. If you could swap your legs with the legs of
- 7:48any other animal, which animal would you swamp with? Easy? Cheetah,
- 7:51because you'd be fast and it would go with all my attire. Do you
- 7:55think it would like really? I mean just proportionally would not gonna work so
- 8:00good. By the way, live on Facebook, Melissa says it's so great
- 8:03to have Pike back. Also don saying I love that Pike is back.
- 8:07You guys making an awesome team. They're lying. We got a lot of
- 8:09people here loving the peanut butter, toast and pickles too from earlier. Yeah,
- 8:13oh I've heard about that. Yeah. What about your legs? Grace
- 8:16In turned crazy? I don't know. Maybe a dog, okay, I
- 8:20feel ascific dog. Do I feel like in a human they would break so
- 8:24easily. They probably would every day come in with crutches, broke the stepped
- 8:30out of my car, broke my leg. I would got to go with
- 8:33a horse leg or two two of them, actually just one leg sticking around
- 8:39that a horse leg. All right, final icebreaker question for the Pike and
- 8:43Amanda Morning Show. Have you ever eaten an entire pizza by yourself? Yes?
- 8:46Really? Did it? Like something you do? Often live on my
- 8:52own, so I don't really have anybody to share it. So I have
- 8:54been making like a frozen people. I'm talking about one sitting writting it out.
- 8:58No, I don't know if I've ever done that. The Totino's pizzas,
- 9:01I can do some serious damage to those little ones. You know which
- 9:05ones I'm talking about. They're like ninety nine scents. It was like the
- 9:09personal hands though. You guys, we're talking big whole pizza. No,
- 9:13I've never ate a whole pizza. Well, we got to get a big
- 9:16old pizza in here, then, have you hungry? Oh? Yeah?
- 9:20Why would I even ask that? Four am after an LS show? Hey
- 9:24Google, Hey, Hey Google, whatever you're gonna like? His name is
- 9:33Tel eight point seven. Wait, amands juncture. Another day, another story
- 9:43about Britney Spears. This time it's about her kids. I guess kay Fed
- 9:46is looking to take the kids to Hawaii. Now they're sixteen and seventeen years
- 9:50old, so they're pretty much at the I guess point where there's only a
- 9:54couple of more years that he's going to be getting child support, which he
- 9:56is getting a ton of money from Britney Spear for that. But the reason
- 10:01he's moving is because his new wife has a job offer at a university in
- 10:05Hawaii, and then Cafed has some DJ opportunities as well in Hawaii. I
- 10:09was wondering why he needs child support when his DJ careers thriving. Yeah,
- 10:13right, no big deal there. But now they're just waiting for Brittany to
- 10:16either fight back and say absolutely not or I'm probably not going to care because
- 10:22she hasn't seen him in about a year, even though she wants to care.
- 10:24You're probably just gonna let him do what they're gonna do. One thing
- 10:26I know about, like custody battles and where the kids live, it's usually
- 10:30a pretty smooth thing. Usually no big deal at all. Yeah, they
- 10:33should get this guy is so annoying. Nick Cannon admitted yesterday that he thought
- 10:41it was so great that he wrote hand or written messages from the heart on
- 10:45Mother's Day to all of his baby mama's mamas for his twelve kids. Sore
- 10:48wrist, you imagine, no kidding, My hand starts to give out after
- 10:52I sign a check. You're signing checks, he said, that is tell
- 11:00he mixed up the cards. When one baby mama reads the card about how
- 11:03I feel about the other baby mama. See, I should have went with
- 11:05generic. Otherwise that wouldn't have happened. I don't believe this. I feel
- 11:09like you're just making that up. So you don't think he wrote any cards
- 11:11at all. No, I just think he's I've got a real anger issue
- 11:16towards Nick Cannon. Everything about it makes me mad. I hate the fact
- 11:20that it's okay that he's even talking about this, like you're just having children,
- 11:24wait, just for five kids, and you're not even a good dad
- 11:28to all of them because you can't sit there daddy chill. I mean,
- 11:31we don't know that so much. Well, he's not there, He's not
- 11:33it's not he's physically not able to take care of all of these kids and
- 11:37be a father figure every single day in their life. Is that true?
- 11:41Well, I don't know, Amanda Geeze. I mean I would like to
- 11:46see a picture of him holding All twelve. And this is something Jane Fonda
- 11:54says that shame saw Michael Jackson naked. She sat down for an interview yesterday
- 11:58and say, yeah, he came to visit me when we were shooting on
- 12:01Golden Pond and I had a little cottage right on the lake and it was
- 12:05a beautiful moonlight night, moonlight night, and mj wanted to go skinny dipping,
- 12:11and she said he was just really skinny, and I just envisioned him
- 12:16because he was. I just envisioned him glowing like yes, like a vampire.
- 12:22Yah. Yah, it's very much. I don't know you have a
- 12:24skinny dip. I know the answer. I lived on a lake first sight
- 12:28and turned Gracie. No, No, I mean either, Taylor. I
- 12:31never dig naty eight point seven. This is the weekend now today's variety.
- 12:41Dig naty eight point seven. Need some goods, like the world crazy,
- 12:48give me some good all right? So Forbes came out with their best cities
- 12:54to retire in in the year twenty twenty three. Okay, and do you
- 12:58have any guests where Fargo lands on the fire spoiler alert, We made the
- 13:05top twenty five. Give it up. Yeah, I'm actually surprised by that
- 13:11because you would think, you know Arizona. I would say, the majority
- 13:13of people living in Fargo are leaving here. Whence they retire? Is that
- 13:18your plan? Are you going to be a snowbird? I would see I
- 13:20would love to live out with the lake, so technically Minnesota would be where
- 13:24I would want to retire and then maybe be able to go to Arizona every
- 13:28once in a while. But I don't winters. Yes they're not the greatest,
- 13:31but I love lake life. You can find a lake down there and
- 13:35then just be bought back and forth. Yeah, I guess so. So
- 13:37Fargo number eighteen on the list, by the way, and they say that,
- 13:41you know. The pros include the median home price, which is two
- 13:43hundred and seventy nine thousand dollars. Crazy, it's at even at this point,
- 13:46but that's below the national medium by twenty six percent. Cost of living
- 13:50is low, much lower than the national average. Yeah, the high number
- 13:54of doctors per capita, it's one of our That's what I'm going for us.
- 13:58You know, you don't think about that a retire mint. I mean,
- 14:00if something goes awry later, you're gonna want to be able to hit
- 14:03one of these big hospitals. Yeah, the care. Uh there's a good
- 14:07air quality obviously not today. A little smoker. Very bikable. I never
- 14:13thought of us as a bikeable city. But I guess, I mean,
- 14:16I guess there's a few trails or whatever. I guess I'm not a real
- 14:20biker. Why don't we just have a guy driving through a bunch of bicycles
- 14:24in the news today. Yeah, not a good day to be going over
- 14:26this story. There's no state a state tax I don't even know what that
- 14:31is. Yeah, relatively low natural hazard risk. What's the big blizzard that
- 14:37was gonna say? Hills? Like, we don't have any big You're not
- 14:41gonna trip on a hill. I don't know. Great place to spend.
- 14:48You're real flat. Don't worry if you you get old and you need to
- 14:52you know, I think about you know, older people like like one story
- 14:54homes. It's like basically one big, one story. That's actually kind of
- 14:58the new thing right now. Just in je Gen Role a lot of people
- 15:00are making ramblers. Yeah. Our home we bought in Florida is one story.
- 15:03They don't have basements there. It's too wet, got it. You
- 15:05can't dig but anyway, the cons can you guess the cons? Well,
- 15:11it's cold, cold winters. Yeah, that's the only con. Well.
- 15:16Also, state taxes and social Security they sta they tax social Security income.
- 15:20Got it. These are things I don't know anything about, but it's important.
- 15:26But yeah, I guess I love Fargo. I don't. I just
- 15:28don't see myself retiring. I love Fargo too. I don't know if anybody
- 15:31was thinking they would, you know, but here we are. I guess
- 15:35the only way is if my kids were to stick around, and you'd want
- 15:37to be here closer to watch your grandkids. Hard to think about that life,
- 15:41really hard to think about that life, But I wouldn't want that.
- 15:45You're gonna be such a good grandma, probably soon, right, No,
- 15:48stop love discovering new music. Literally listen all day for the contestingbook. Listening
- 15:58all day at work, That's what I meant. It is where two contestants

- 16:41money on pull tabs there they must oh yeah, yeah, all right,

- 19:29How does that sounds? That just wants? I love it loud.
- 19:34It makes me feel so good. All right, this is exciting. My
- 19:51first friend zone, Chris, I believe is on the phone. Chris,
- 19:53you're in the friend zone, We're told. Yes. So I met this
- 19:57girl Jenny on tender and uh, you know, we we were talking for
- 20:02a while and then eventually we finally met up a few weeks ago and we
- 20:07went and got to be a happy hour and I thought everything was great.
- 20:11And you know, we're still texting, but I want to hang out with
- 20:14her again. And every time she I asked her, she sort of dodges
- 20:18the question. Well, this is like exactly what the friend zone is.
- 20:22I'm just intrigued by the fact that you've been talking for so long. Why
- 20:26didn't you meet up earlier? Yeah, that's this thing. I don't know.
- 20:30We talked for like a month on Tinder and then we finally I finally
- 20:36convinced her to meet up. We met up. It was a great time.
- 20:37I thought it went really well. How well are we talking by the
- 20:41way, you know, the varying degrees of well, I mean like we
- 20:44were both laughing, okay, okay, laughing, GiB having a good time.
- 20:48We got along really well. Yeah, it was this just like a
- 20:51friendly encounter. Or did you know there was there any kissing, hugging you
- 20:55know, Smootcher, did you no? I mean, we didn't kiss,
- 20:57but I thought it went really well. Yeah. We still talk every day,
- 21:02but you know, I kind of want to pursue something more with her
- 21:06and see if that's, you know, a possibility, But I can't get
- 21:08her to hang out again. Been out of the dating game a while.
- 21:11But I assume if you're still talking to somebody you're interested. I mean,
- 21:14you would have just ghosted this person if you weren't, right, you wouldn't
- 21:18waste your time. I don't think anyway. So here's what we're gonna do,
- 21:21Chris, We're gonna call Jenny. We're gonna get her on the phone.
- 21:22We're gonna talk to her. So you just stay kind of quiet in
- 21:25the background, and we're gonna see what's really going on. Okay, okay,
- 21:27thanks guys, Hey, no problem. Hello, Hey, is this
- 21:37Jenny. It is Jenny Pike in Amanda in the Morning on Big Nightya point
- 21:41seven. Good morning. Are you doing? Oh wow, good morning?
- 21:45Getting a little bit chipper on us. I like it. So this is
- 21:49sort of awkward, but we had a couple of questions for you. First
- 21:53of all, there's somebody We're not gonna say who, but somebody has a
- 21:56crush on you. We know that to be true. Okay, oh okay,
- 22:00that's cute. I guess my first question would be, Jenny, are
- 22:03you in fact single? Um? Kind of kinda so you are in a
- 22:12relationship, Like, what does that mean? I mean, I don't know
- 22:15about an actual relationship. It's pretty cat. I don't know. I'm seeing
- 22:21someone sort of okay, but then this is kind of awkward. Are you
- 22:23on Tinder? Jenny? Oh? Yeah, Okay, So how long have
- 22:27you been with this kind of person? About a year? A year?
- 22:32Oh my gosh, and you're on Tinder. I am so confused. I
- 22:36guess I feel like that's a no no. But I'm not judging. But
- 22:40Jenny, I mean, what is your defense of being on Tinder? Still?
- 22:42I'm being listen. I'm a new age girl. You know, it's
- 22:47twenty twenty three. I like to keep my options open, so I pop
- 22:52up on there every once in a while. So what's going on there?
- 22:53It's a little more awkward here, Jenny, because the guy we're talking about
- 22:56that has the crush on you, this is not the guy that you've been
- 23:00in a relationship with for a year. Wait, really, then, who
- 23:07are we talking about? I mean that's really the million dollar question here?
- 23:11Is there anybody that comes to mind? Is there anybody you're hoping it?
- 23:14Maybe? Um, I guess wait, no, I don't have a no
- 23:22clue. Who am you? A little? Here? Is somebody you maybe
- 23:25met on tender recently? Maybe you met up with them once? Oh you
- 23:29mean Chris? Yeah, you know the guy you're texting and snapping with every
- 23:34single day. I mean, yeah, well, we're just friends. You
- 23:38know I like him, but I am with someone else kind of so it's
- 23:45just super cash. It just cash. Yeah, that's fine, that's fine.
- 23:49All right. So Jenny, hey, just spring this on you,
- 23:52but we're gonna get Chris on the phone here. Okay. So Chris,
- 23:56you've been listening to all of this and I just I'm dying to know what
- 23:59you have to say. Yeah. Um, well, first of all,
- 24:03uh, Jenny, you never gave me any impression that you were dating anyone
- 24:07and let alone for a year. Um, that's insane. It's insane.
- 24:12This is crazy. Wait, this is such judgy. Why is it insane?
- 24:18Yeah? Again, Jenny said she's a new age girl. Yeah,
- 24:22we all different values. For Chris is saying. I will say, Jenny,
- 24:27you gotta lead with that information. Let him know what I've been talking
- 24:32to someone else. This is not serious. Would just die? Right?
- 24:36I guess we never really asked are you interested in Chris and taking it to
- 24:38the next level and maybe getting rid of said year? I think I know
- 24:45the answer, But Jenny, listen, I'm an equal opportunity dat and if
- 24:49Chris is interested in continuing what we have, and sure, I don't know
- 24:55about next levels and all of that. I'm not into all these boxers you
- 24:59guys, are cha, Chris, Chris, are you interested in joining the
- 25:03gang? I'm sorry, I'm just a little more traditional than that. I
- 25:10don't think I can handle any of this. Yeah, I don't blame you
- 25:12here. I think I think that's a rap. Guys. Unfortunately this didn't
- 25:18go as we planned, or you planned. Chris also super conservative, and
- 25:25that's fine for you. No judgment here. But I'm living my life.
- 25:29So Chris, You're awesome, and I'm sorry to see you go. That's
- 25:32your choice, but I live my life the way I live my life.
- 25:34What sounds like you guys had at least one good night of beers out of
- 25:37the deal, So there's that You'll You'll always have that night. And I'm
- 25:41sorry for being so so judging. This is old married woman here, My
- 25:45bad, no problem. I love my life. Stuck in the eighteen hundreds
- 25:49of them. Today's variety Big ninety eight points seven. Good morning, Pike

- 26:37point seven Facebook page, if you're in your car, if you're at working
- 26:38at home, please play along with three hypothetical situations that really, you know,
- 26:44we find out what we're made of, all right. I'm situation and
- 26:47I have zero confidence Amanda understands the assignment, right. No, That's what
- 26:51I'm really hoping for is that I got this. All right. So I'm
- 26:52going to start, Amanda by proposing you with the hypothetical and we're gonna find
- 26:56out what you would do. Are you ready? I am here? Go

- 27:06but then your husband, Nick text you saying he totally forgot that he
- 27:08had a tea time with Pike and he'll need you to take the kids.
- 27:12So, Amanda, I can already tell you're not happy. Question is,
- 27:22what do you do? It's obvious I've been drinking. You're gonna have to
- 27:26skip the tea time. I can't go get those kids. Oh, you're
- 27:29gut it scheduled, it's early afternoon. You're not there yet. Oh,
- 27:33it's on the schedule. Are you going to be flexible with your husband knowing
- 27:37that he has a deep passion for golf and you could do patio drinks anytime?
- 27:41Oh? Can I no patio drinks in the middle of December. That's
- 27:45wild, that's wild. You're gonna make this guy bail on a tea time?
- 27:49Absolutely, I am. The golf course is gonna lose money because somebody
- 27:52didn't show up. Yeah, and so is this local business that's been hurting
- 27:56the golf course to publicly funded the rest Stripark. Trust me, when me
- 28:00and my girls are there ching, the bottles be flowing. Yike. Oh
- 28:06yeah, sorry, Nick, embarrassing. All right, what do you got
- 28:08for me? All right? Pike? Okay, I'm just laughing because I
- 28:14really hope I understood this right. You show up to a China buffet,
- 28:18there's only three of you. There's only three people left, three people left
- 28:25ten minutes cloned, ten minutes before they close. Yeah, okay, there's
- 28:30only one scoop of sweet and sour chicken. Do you take it? Share
- 28:33it, or leave it? You didn't get it? Yeah you didn't.
- 28:41Just wait? Oh what do you do? Well, I'm not sharing it
- 28:48with three with two strangers. Hey, guys, come on, I know
- 28:52I never met you, but come over you. There's only a scoop left.
- 28:56Eats, get a little bite of sweet and sour. But you're what
- 28:59I would ever do is go to a Chinese buffet right before close. There's
- 29:03certain times you just don't go. You don't go in the middle of the
- 29:06day. I literally went. There's one in more Head, the one on
- 29:08a street. I mean, I love it, but I did go there
- 29:11once and they looked me in the eye and said, you might want to
- 29:14go look at the food before you pay. Oh yeah, because it was
- 29:17like two o'clock in the afternoon. Got it, okay? Anyway, So
- 29:19what I would do eat it? You're just gonna eat it scarpet down.
- 29:23Wow, all right. hYP Hypothetical two for Amanda, A big magic genie
- 29:30shows up in your bedroom one morning and says, Amanda, you can be
- 29:33one celebrity for the entire day. So, Amanda, anyone pick one famous
- 29:42person whole day. What do you do? Gosh? I instantly go Chloe
- 29:49Kardashing because I've always liked her. But she's I don't know, just a
- 29:52day with Is that what you're after? What's his name was Tristan Tomson?
- 29:56Yeah? That Lamar was so years ago. I gotta go. Jennifer Lopez,
- 30:00j Loo. I gotta go j Loo. I don't know. I
- 30:03just I'd love to just do all the things that she does. Shake it,
- 30:07shake it, shake it. Just be Mandy from the block for a
- 30:11day. Just see what it's like. Okay, Yeah, I'm going Jennifer
- 30:14Lopez. All right, here we go. So, Pike, do you
- 30:19find out you have one one day left to live? Oh God, what's
- 30:26the first thing you do? Just let you listening on the inside here.
- 30:33I was very clear with exactly how this would go, and Amanda's just I
- 30:38knew it wouldn't be perfect, but my god, she's missed it. Both
- 30:42times. I'm sorry, I was expecting to Okay, what do you do?
- 30:49Okay, I'm dying tomorrow. What do I do? Yeah, well,
- 30:53jeez, i'd probably get a tea time too late. Amanda. You're
- 31:03sitting in your kitchen with your husband Nick. Suddenly he has a bathroom emergency
- 31:08and he leaves the room. His phone vibrates on the counter. Oh you
- 31:14see, he received a text from an unmarked phone arm that contains simply an
- 31:19eggplant emoji. So, Amanda, you're looking right at it. Yeah,
- 31:27you obviously know his passcode. I don't. Actually, truthfully, what do
- 31:32you do? I don't know his passcode. I'm going to expect it to
- 31:36be one of his buddy is in a group chat like a pike. He
- 31:37has a lot of Pikes in his life. Where it's funny I saved numbers,
- 31:41doesn't save his buddies numbers. Oh suspicious. If you ask me,
- 31:47it's either going to be you or Rambo. Like that's what I'm gonna be
- 31:49envisionating. I'm not thinking there's a girl. Oh you're not. Huh No,
- 31:53okay, good for you. Yeah, I don't you pass the test.
- 31:56That is kind of the give up for Amanda. The most secure.
- 32:00I just it's just Nick. He's just all right cool. But I don't
- 32:05He's just not that guy. That's why we're doing That's why we're doing this.
- 32:07It's the third day of the show. We're learning more about each other
- 32:09and we're learning how to do this. So I think I got it this
- 32:13time. Oh, next week's gonna be so much better. I don't believe
- 32:15that. All right, I wrap it up, Amanda, would you all
- 32:19right? Hypothetical here? Pike? Yeah, you get one hand or one
- 32:23leg like I mean to eat? I mean, which one are you going
- 32:32with? What are you doing? M Nieva on Facebook says love seeing it
- 32:37to it as a team again. And my stepmom is on it on here
- 32:40again she says this is a great new segment. She said, yeah,
- 32:44my stepmom, is it because I've messed up the entire thing. Is you
- 32:49listening to the same segment that I am? So? Okay? Aman,
- 32:53to clarify it, this would be like I only get to have one hand
- 32:57or one foot or leg one hand or one leg, okay, Well,
- 33:01hands are integral to like grabbing and squeezing. I could hop around, yea.
- 33:07How far have they come with prosthetics? They're really good. So I
- 33:09could have like a robot hand or a robot you might have a prosthetic for
- 33:13either. Yea, all right, well I'll take the one leg a pogo
- 33:16stick leg would be carrying. All right? That was what do you do?
- 33:20Hey Google, Hey, hey Google, whatever you're gonna like? This
- 33:28name is eight point seven. Hey, good morning, Happy Wednesday. It's
- 33:32Pike and Amanda. In the morning. Weatherwise, gonna be smoky again this
- 33:36morning. Hopefully some more sunshine this afternoon. Hi, about eighty three,
- 33:39and then we are going to get some rain showers. It is looking like
- 33:42through the overnight and basically all day tomorrow. All right. So there's a
- 33:45company, a coffee company, selling a very special cup of coffee for one
- 33:51thousand dollars for a cup. For one cup, you will pay one thousand
- 33:55dollars. Do you have to order two weeks in advance because it's much in
- 34:00demand. People are literally paying this much. I love coffee. I'm on
- 34:02my second cup right now. That's not enough, but we've been busy.
- 34:06But I would never pay more than four dollars. Yeah. So I just
- 34:10got into the coffee world probably six years ago, and I just started drinking
- 34:15black coffee, and that's it. That's the way. That is the way.
- 34:21I also feel like at our radio station, we don't have the best
- 34:23coffee, so I feel like I wouldn't know what a real good cup of
- 34:27coffee is. Well, I don't ever usually go and order it outside my
- 34:30home. I'm a cured girl, Like I'll just have a cake cup.
- 34:32Well, this one is so good. A man, it's a thousand dollars
- 34:35good because it has grown. The beans are seventeen hundred meters above sea level
- 34:39on the side of a volcano in Panama. So yeah, it's like,
- 34:44so that's a good beans I've never Yeah, I guess. So people are
- 34:50literally paying for but I want to know, like I'm not going to sporge
- 34:52on coffee. If I told myself when I started this venture, at this
- 34:54journey, my coffee journey, Yeah, I'm not gonna put any extra calories
- 34:58in it, no cream, no sugar, nothing, I'm not gonna pay
- 35:00for it. So I'm just drinking like stuff here and in anyway, that
- 35:05was it. So what something you like would splurge. So I'm sitting here
- 35:07making fun of the fact that somebody would be doing this for a drink but
- 35:10I would spend good money on a good bottle of wine. What see to
- 35:15me? Because wine is so cheap and I can't tell the difference. Love
- 35:19Lauren Tech. When I'm like, hey, I'm at the liquor sre,
- 35:21do you want anything, It's like, oh, just give me that bottle
- 35:22of Like what is it? Like, what's the one your seineteen crimes that
- 35:27or Yosemite or whatever? Yosemite, I don't know, maybe fafoot Barefoot two.
- 35:30I'm like, it's like six bucks. I mean there are some there
- 35:35are some good wines that are a lower price, but everyone months nice to
- 35:37just have a really good wine. Is it that? Can you taste one
- 35:42hundred dollars? Or does it? Is it mental? You know? Is
- 35:45it like, oh this is fancy. There's like a cakebread Sellers one that's
- 35:49really good. There's a like silver Oak is one that I would splurge on,
- 35:53But what can you taste it? I can't taste the difference. Otherwise
- 35:57I would do it for me. And that's probably how people feel about coffee
- 36:00A thousand dollars A little extreme. Yes, for me, it's golf balls,
- 36:04you know, because people talk about like, oh, don't put a
- 36:06bunch of money in your car because it depreciates. Golf balls they don't just
- 36:09depreciate you, Yeah, you just them. How many did you lose on
- 36:13the course yesterday? Three the bad day, and I literally bought for three
- 36:16balls the prov one access for the top tier ball. This is what I
- 36:20mean splurging. I'm not that good, but they're like seventeen dollars for three
- 36:22balls and they were gone in like three holes. What a waste of money.
- 36:27What a waste of money you're telling. Although it is nice because I
- 36:30was the daughter on the golf cart when my dad played golf that I would
- 36:34go and find those, So it's nice when people are splurging. It's like,
- 36:36oh, free prov one, sweet way to go kids, nothing better.
- 36:40You need a scuba suit to get mine. But no, what do
- 36:45I integracing you sporging on anything? Of course? Concerts, Oh concerts.
- 36:50Do you miss a concert? I mean if it's country and it's in the
- 36:54area, then yes, she is a bit gonna not miss it. I
- 36:58always tell people, you know, people go on vacations and do all that
- 37:00fun stuff. Concerts are like my vacation. Like people spend so much on
- 37:05vacations. I spend a lot of money on concerts because concerts are like the
- 37:07one thing that I'm like my happiest at. Do you spend for your Jonas
- 37:12Brothers tickets? Those are only seventy Oh that's a fair price. Wow.
- 37:15Yeah. But Taylor Swift on the other hand, Oh yeah, what are
- 37:19you in? Fifteen hundred or something? Yeah. And then there's we Fest
- 37:22this year two and we're in the pit for we Fest, the pit Bala,
- 37:27I'm gonna be right next to Morgan Wallen. Did you just say you
- 37:30only country music, no favorite entry? Is that what you're saying? Oh?
- 37:32Yeah, yeah for me, I'm on you listening to Today's Variety,
- 37:36Big ninety eight point seven, Big ninty eight point seven. This is the
- 37:40weekend. It's now Today's Variety, Big ninty eight points seven. So this
- 37:49company in Australia is selling a cup of coffee for a thousand dollars because the
- 37:52beans are brewed seventeen hundred meters above sea level on the side of a volcano
- 37:58and Panama the best being you can get. People are buying it though,
- 38:00because people splurge on coffees is something they do. But it's a cup of
- 38:04coffee, like you're gonna I guess for you, man, he said,
- 38:07a bottle of wine. Well, it's just a bottle of wine. I
- 38:08know, no, I get it. But a thousand dollars. So we
- 38:13want to know what's something that you splurge on. Seven to one, two
- 38:15eight eight seven. Let us know. Good morning, Hey, I heard
- 38:20you. Guys. We're talking about slurging. And I absolutely have to splurge
- 38:23on brass. A good bra, yes, yes, and they are they're
- 38:29expensive, like a real good bra. I mean maybe a Hundo depending on
- 38:34cheez one hundred material. Yes, what's the most you're spending on bras?
- 38:37I would say a Husbred? Yeah. And what's like the cheap end?
- 38:40Can I go into Walmart and get like a five dollars bra? I'd time,
- 38:45yeah, And you can tell the difference like what the support it and
- 38:50also like when you wash them all of that. But yeah, these girls
- 38:52got to be happy. I gotta I gotta start looking into high end jockstraps,
- 38:57like se what's out there? Thank you for calling. Oh man,
- 39:01we did post this on Facebook as well. We have Whitney, Taylor,
- 39:07Stephanie, and Chelsea all saying shoes A good pair of shoes and purses.
- 39:14Also some people saying sunglasses, but Jessica is saying yarn, really good yarn.
- 39:21I would not have known that. I love that. My mom knits
- 39:23all the time, so she is always yeah, yep, the good yarn.
- 39:28What is she making? She makes dish cloths. I have a ton
- 39:30of dishcloths from her. Oh yeah, maybe she makes a pike and demand
- 39:32in the morning dish cloth for me. I have a blanket, me a
- 39:36blanket? O nice? Okay, all right, Wendy going with traveling.
- 39:39See, I'm the option. I'm a cheap traveler. People send thousands to
- 39:43go like international traveling and say Europe. I have no interest, but give
- 39:46me like the cheapest two day, three night crews or you know wherever you
- 39:52can go. Yeah, direct flights from here to Vegas or whatever. Yeah.
- 39:55I usually tend to go somewhere that's a little less expensive so that you
- 40:00can enjoy when you're there, Like I like going to then good restaurants,
- 40:02going back to the wine stuff like that. It's like you want a good
- 40:05meal, you where you're going, Yeah, instead of just all the travel
- 40:07And they're like, okay, now we're gonna just go ahead. And run
- 40:12through McDonald's a couple of times anyway. Let's be honest, we're doing that anyway.
