Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome back to the program. In
• 0:03
Speaker 1: this episode, we're going to dive right back in to
• 0:05
Speaker 1: those transcripts from day number four of the Tyler Robinson
• 0:09
Speaker 1: prelim hearing. And we're picking back up with the video
• 0:15
Speaker 1: that's being played in the courtroom of Lance Twiggs. And
• 0:20
Speaker 1: he turned himself in on the 11th, right? Twiggs, I
• 0:23
Speaker 1: thought so, yeah. Question, okay, again, we're just going to
• 0:26
Speaker 1: go through this so we have a record of the messages.
• 0:29
Speaker 1: Is that an accurate recording of the thread? Answer, to
• 0:32
Speaker 1: my knowledge, yes. Question, and that was sent, it looks
• 0:35
Speaker 1: like between September 10th and September 12th. Looks like the
• 0:39
Speaker 1: last day on the September 12th screen. Answer, yes. Question, okay, alright.
• 0:45
Speaker 1: So again, those messages covered from September 10th to the
• 0:48
Speaker 1: evening of September 11th. Now, September 11th, what time, or
• 0:52
Speaker 1: did you see Tyler on September 11th? Answer, yes. Question, yes.
• 0:57
Speaker 1: When did you first see him? On September 11th. So
• 0:59
Speaker 1: this is the day after the shooting. Answer, yeah, I
• 1:03
Speaker 1: saw him when I woke up. Like I said, he
• 1:05
Speaker 1: was up and around doing a lot of stuff around
• 1:07
Speaker 1: the house. And then I think I saw him after
• 1:09
Speaker 1: that message where I said I'll come home and say
• 1:12
Speaker 1: I'm doing laundry because I didn't want him going to
• 1:14
Speaker 1: my parents' house right then when he said there was
• 1:17
Speaker 1: probably cops outside. So I went back home and it
• 1:20
Speaker 1: was just him there and I said bye to him
• 1:23
Speaker 1: and then he drove off. So I just went back
• 1:25
Speaker 1: to my parents' house. Question, so he acted erratically? Was
• 1:29
Speaker 1: he pacing? Was he just sitting down, relaxing? Answer, no,
• 1:33
Speaker 1: he was walking around a lot. Question, and that's within
• 1:35
Speaker 1: the home? Answer, uh-huh. Question, and did he talk about
• 1:39
Speaker 1: what he had done? Answer, didn't go into detail. I
• 1:43
Speaker 1: just asked him in person if what he said was
• 1:45
Speaker 1: true the night before, and he said it was. He
• 1:47
Speaker 1: started crying a little bit and said he wished he
• 1:50
Speaker 1: hadn't done it, and then kept going around and just
• 1:53
Speaker 1: doing stuff, I think, to keep himself busy or distracted
• 1:55
Speaker 1: or something. Question okay, did he talk about what he
• 1:58
Speaker 1: was doing next? Answer, and then eventually he said that
• 2:02
Speaker 1: he would talk to his parents or turn himself in.
• 2:05
Speaker 1: Question okay, and when you left, was that how you
• 2:08
Speaker 1: left understanding that he was going to turn himself in
• 2:10
Speaker 1: or go to his parents? Answer yeah, I didn't really
• 2:13
Speaker 1: want to be at our apartment while any of that
• 2:15
Speaker 1: was happening regardless of what went down. Question okay, before
• 2:19
Speaker 1: he came home, had you seen the press releases, any
• 2:22
Speaker 1: of the media on this? Answer, I'd seen one Instagram
• 2:26
Speaker 1: link a friend of mine had sent in our group chat,
• 2:28
Speaker 1: but I hadn't really looked into it at all. Question,
• 2:31
Speaker 1: and had you seen the images that were released of
• 2:33
Speaker 1: the suspect? Answer, I did the next day. I don't
• 2:36
Speaker 1: think I saw any on the 10th. Question, I'm going
• 2:40
Speaker 1: to show you a couple of those images, okay? I'm
• 2:42
Speaker 1: on the FBI's website. You can see the URL there
• 2:45
Speaker 1: at the top. This is a press release about the event,
• 2:49
Speaker 1: and here on the screen you see these. Looks like
• 2:51
Speaker 1: there's two rows of three images. Do you recognize the
• 2:54
Speaker 1: person in these images? Answer. I wouldn't say with 100% certainty,
• 2:59
Speaker 1: just because of the camera quality, but that looks like
• 3:01
Speaker 1: him in terms of the shoes he's wearing, the sunglasses.
• 3:04
Speaker 1: I don't think I'd specifically seen him wearing that hat,
• 3:07
Speaker 1: but he was usually wearing a hat and then jeans.
• 3:10
Speaker 1: So it definitely, especially the bottom, the last two definitely
• 3:12
Speaker 1: do look like him. Question. Who's he? Answer. They look
• 3:16
Speaker 1: like Tyler Robinson. Question. And you talked about that with
• 3:20
Speaker 1: your friends, right? This is really him? Answer, yeah, his friends, yeah.
• 3:24
Speaker 1: I don't remember if I talked about it with any
• 3:26
Speaker 1: of my friends. And then since I didn't have my
• 3:29
Speaker 1: phone after that for a while, and I'm still not
• 3:31
Speaker 1: using social media, I don't know on my friend's end. Question, okay,
• 3:36
Speaker 1: all right. I want to back up a little bit now.
• 3:38
Speaker 1: We've talked about September 10th, but let me get a
• 3:41
Speaker 1: little bit of context here. So did you game with Tyler? Answer, yeah. Question,
• 3:46
Speaker 1: what kind of games? Answer, we played just kind of
• 3:49
Speaker 1: party games together. anything that would be multiplayer with a
• 3:52
Speaker 1: group of friends. There was one game he really liked
• 3:55
Speaker 1: called Sea of Thieves, where he plays a pirate and
• 3:58
Speaker 1: you can fight against people, but most of it's just fishing,
• 4:01
Speaker 1: fighting sharks, skeletons, kind of stuff. We played some co-op
• 4:05
Speaker 1: games where it's like you both have to work together
• 4:08
Speaker 1: to win in whatever way. Way back when, when I
• 4:10
Speaker 1: was just out of high school, when I first knew
• 4:12
Speaker 1: him online, we played some shooting games together, but I
• 4:15
Speaker 1: didn't know him very well. So that was just when
• 4:18
Speaker 1: we had a full friend grouped on to play and
• 4:20
Speaker 1: he was someone that my friends invited. Question, okay, did
• 4:24
Speaker 1: he ever talk about politics? Answer, he did more than me.
• 4:28
Speaker 1: I still don't really keep up with politics that much.
• 4:30
Speaker 1: He'd usually talk about stuff he heard on the radio,
• 4:33
Speaker 1: on his drive to work, in their work car since
• 4:35
Speaker 1: it sounds like their whole crew went in the same
• 4:37
Speaker 1: car most of the time. But I wouldn't say super
• 4:39
Speaker 1: consistently because it wasn't a topic I really contributed much on. Question,
• 4:44
Speaker 1: how about Charlie Kirk? Did he ever talk about Charlie Kirk? Answer,
• 4:48
Speaker 1: I personally had never heard him talk about Charlie Kirk
• 4:51
Speaker 1: before specifically. Question, okay. How about political issues? So did
• 4:56
Speaker 1: you ever talk about gender identity issues or LGBTQ issues? Answer, no,
• 5:01
Speaker 1: not really. Usually, if he did talk about politics and stuff,
• 5:05
Speaker 1: it was relating to Trump's policies being issued or voted on,
• 5:08
Speaker 1: I think, but yeah. Question, okay. So before that, you
• 5:12
Speaker 1: have been? Answer, uh-huh, for a short time. Question, okay.
• 5:16
Speaker 1: And I understand that you were going by Luna at
• 5:18
Speaker 1: some point. Answer, to some people, yeah, but not as
• 5:21
Speaker 1: an overall thing. Question, okay, okay, I think that's all
• 5:25
Speaker 1: the questions I have for this portion. Let me check
• 5:27
Speaker 1: and see if I missed something. Okay, the Dremel that
• 5:30
Speaker 1: you talked about, you said he asked you for that,
• 5:33
Speaker 1: is that right? Answer, uh-huh. Question, and he told you
• 5:36
Speaker 1: that it was to inscribe bullets? Answer, yeah. Question, and
• 5:40
Speaker 1: so did you have a Dremel then? Answer, yeah, okay,
• 5:43
Speaker 1: at our apartment. We had a section where we kept
• 5:46
Speaker 1: all of our random tools for household stuff in our
• 5:48
Speaker 1: lower basement level pantry, so yeah. Question, okay, and did
• 5:52
Speaker 1: you give it to him or tell him where it was? Answer,
• 5:54
Speaker 1: I just told him where it was, yeah. Question, okay,
• 5:57
Speaker 1: I'm going to go ahead and end the recording for
• 6:00
Speaker 1: 1102 purposes. Judge Graff, all right, that concludes State's Exhibit 16. Ms. Hunt,
• 6:07
Speaker 1: thank you, Judge. Agent Davis, I asked you yesterday, but
• 6:10
Speaker 1: I want to remind you, the court and those present,
• 6:12
Speaker 1: Were you physically present in an interview we just watched
• 6:15
Speaker 1: in State Exhibit 16? Answer, yes, I was there. And
• 6:19
Speaker 1: this is the state doing the questioning. And aside from
• 6:21
Speaker 1: the court-ordered redaction, did it appear to you to be
• 6:24
Speaker 1: fair and accurate about what you remember that interview that day? Answer, yes, yes,
• 6:28
Speaker 1: I do. Question, during that interview, did Mr. Twiggs, was
• 6:32
Speaker 1: he shown or referenced certain items of evidence? Answer, yes,
• 6:36
Speaker 1: he was. Question, what types of evidence was he shown? Answer,
• 6:41
Speaker 1: it was text messages between himself and Tyler Robinson, a
• 6:44
Speaker 1: Discord chat message, and a handwritten note. Question, and then,
• 6:48
Speaker 1: we also saw in the video, he was also shown
• 6:50
Speaker 1: the FBI press release photos of the potential suspect. Answer,
• 6:54
Speaker 1: that is correct, yes. Question, have you reviewed all of
• 6:57
Speaker 1: those items as part of the investigation? Answer, yes, I have. Question,
• 7:02
Speaker 1: you're familiar with them. Answer, yes. Question, all right. I
• 7:06
Speaker 1: want to just put that on the witness screen, what's
• 7:07
Speaker 1: been marked for identification as State Exhibit No. 16-1. And
• 7:12
Speaker 1: for the record, this includes the one edit that the
• 7:14
Speaker 1: court previously ordered. Judge Graff, thank you. Prosecution, let me
• 7:19
Speaker 1: know when you see that on the screen. Agent Davis,
• 7:21
Speaker 1: I see it now. Prosecution, do you recognize this? Answer,
• 7:25
Speaker 1: yes I do. Question, what is it? Answer, this is
• 7:29
Speaker 1: a photograph of screenshots of text messages between Tyler Robinson
• 7:33
Speaker 1: and Lance Twiggs. This is a photograph of Lance's phone. Question,
• 7:38
Speaker 1: so sorry, you said photograph, you also said screenshot. Can
• 7:41
Speaker 1: you differentiate here or clarify there? Davis, yeah, sorry, yeah,
• 7:46
Speaker 1: these are photographs directly from Lance's phone. Question, how do
• 7:49
Speaker 1: you know that? Answer, in Lance's first interview, he's showing
• 7:53
Speaker 1: the FBI agents these text messages, describes them to the agents,
• 7:57
Speaker 1: and at the time his phone was photographed. Question, and
• 8:00
Speaker 1: you testified, I believe... Yesterday that Mr. Twiggs' first interview
• 8:03
Speaker 1: was the morning of September 12th, 2025. Is that correct? Answer,
• 8:08
Speaker 1: that's correct, yes. Question, were you physically present at that interview? Answer, no,
• 8:14
Speaker 1: I was not there. Question, have you spoken with the
• 8:16
Speaker 1: officers or agents that were? Answer, yes, I've spoken to
• 8:21
Speaker 1: one of the agents that was there. Question, and you
• 8:23
Speaker 1: stated that first September 12th interview of Mr. Twiggs was recorded? Answer, yes,
• 8:29
Speaker 1: audio video recorded. Question, have you reviewed that recording? Answer, yes,
• 8:34
Speaker 1: I have. Question, so you stated that you were looking
• 8:37
Speaker 1: at State Exhibit 16-1, had a picture of Mr. Twiggs' phone? Answer, yes. Question,
• 8:43
Speaker 1: do you know who took those photos? Answer, yeah, it
• 8:46
Speaker 1: was Agent Larson with FBI. Question, did you speak with
• 8:49
Speaker 1: Agent Larson and confirm that? Answer, I did. Question, and
• 8:54
Speaker 1: you kind of made reference to this already, but how
• 8:57
Speaker 1: did Mr. Twiggs initially show law enforcement the relevant messages? Answer, yeah,
• 9:01
Speaker 1: during the first interview on September 12th, physically he shows
• 9:04
Speaker 1: them the phone and then allows them to photograph the phone.
• 9:08
Speaker 1: And does he identify it as his phone in that interview? Answer, yes,
• 9:11
Speaker 1: he does. Question, does he refer to any particular feature
• 9:14
Speaker 1: of the phone that allows him to make that identification? Answer,
• 9:18
Speaker 1: the second interview, he refers to a large crack in
• 9:21
Speaker 1: the upper left screen. So he identifies that from a
• 9:24
Speaker 1: second interview that was given on April 20th. Question, and
• 9:28
Speaker 1: according to your review, of the recording of his first
• 9:31
Speaker 1: interview and the speaking with the agents that were there.
• 9:34
Speaker 1: Did he have his personal phone with him at the
• 9:36
Speaker 1: time of the September 12th interview? Answer, yes, he did. Question,
• 9:40
Speaker 1: and was this the same text thread that we're seeing
• 9:43
Speaker 1: in the state exhibit 16-1 shown to him during his
• 9:46
Speaker 1: second interview? Sorry, let me get the date right. April 20th,
• 9:49
Speaker 1: 2026 at the Utah County Attorney's Office that we just
• 9:53
Speaker 1: observed part in the state exhibit 16? Answer, yes, it
• 9:57
Speaker 1: was shown to him. Question, was he asked how Tyler
• 10:00
Speaker 1: Robinson is saved in his phone as a contact? Answer, yeah,
• 10:04
Speaker 1: just as Tyler. Question, without saying it, obviously, did he
• 10:08
Speaker 1: identify Tyler Robinson's phone number? Answer, yes, he did. Question,
• 10:12
Speaker 1: did you check the number that Mr. Twiggs gave as
• 10:15
Speaker 1: Tyler Robinson's phone number against law enforcement records? Answer, yes,
• 10:19
Speaker 1: I did. Question, and do they match? Answer, yes, they match. Question,
• 10:26
Speaker 1: is State Exhibit 16-1 a fair and accurate representation of
• 10:29
Speaker 1: the text thread between, or the relevant text, between Mr.
• 10:33
Speaker 1: Twiggs and Mr. Robinson? Answer, yes, it is. Question, as
• 10:38
Speaker 1: part of the investigation, was Celebrite extraction performed on Mr.
• 10:41
Speaker 1: Twiggs' phone? Answer, yes, it was. Question, did you personally
• 10:45
Speaker 1: review that extraction? Answer, yes, I have. Question, and according
• 10:49
Speaker 1: to that extraction, did Mr. Robinson and Mr. Twiggs exchange
• 10:53
Speaker 1: text messages on September 10th through 11th, 2025? Answer, yes,
• 10:57
Speaker 1: they did. Question, what time was the first text sent
• 11:01
Speaker 1: according to the Celebrite extraction? Answer, the first text was
• 11:05
  Speaker 1: September 10th at 11 p.m. Prosecution, all right, Judge, I
• 11:10
Speaker 1: would move to admit State Exhibit 16.1 and then pursuant
• 11:13
Speaker 1: to the court order, I would move to publish it
• 11:16
Speaker 1: to the monitors. All right, folks, we're going to wrap
• 11:18
Speaker 1: up right here. And in the next episode dealing with
• 11:20
Speaker 1: the topic, we're going to pick up where we left off.
• 11:23
Speaker 1: All the information that goes with this episode can be
• 11:26
Speaker 1: found in the description box.
