- 1:52Speaker 1: let's go, let's go, let's go. It's the story you
- 1:55Speaker 1: need to hear to believe. Then grab your popcorn because
- 1:58Speaker 1: there is more. I had a couple of things all
- 2:01Speaker 1: part of the same story. First, I've got this from
- 2:08Speaker 1: Tim Walls yesterday. You heard me share this yesterday. There
- 2:12Speaker 1: was this weird weird rumor weird super weird rumor that
- 2:21Speaker 1: President Trump over the weekend was.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Dead.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I swear to you, this was the rumor. He hasn't
- 2:30Speaker 1: been seen in two days. He must be ill. The
- 2:35Speaker 1: level of wish casting from the left is completely completely nuts.
- 2:43Speaker 1: It's it's madness. So there was this, this, this rumor
- 2:47Speaker 1: that went on down the line and they said that
- 2:54Speaker 1: President Trump was dead. Of course he's fine. Tim Walls,
- 2:58Speaker 1: the governor Minnesota, the former vice presidential nominee for the Democrats,
- 3:04Speaker 1: is hopeful of this. You get up in the morning
- 3:06Speaker 1: and you doom scroll through things.
- 3:08Speaker 2: And although I will say this, for the last few days,
- 3:11Speaker 2: you woke up thinking there might.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Be news, just saying, just saying there will be news
- 3:18Speaker 1: sometimes just so you know there will be news. You
- 3:24Speaker 1: had a school shooting in Minnesota, you had lawmakers gunned
- 3:30Speaker 1: down in Minnesota, and here is the governor wishing for
- 3:35Speaker 1: the death of the president. Don't tell me that Tim
- 3:38Speaker 1: Walls is a good guy or a man. That's a
- 3:41Speaker 1: terrible person. He's a garbage person. He is what he is.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Anybody who thinks that Tim Walls is a role models
- 3:48Speaker 1: out of their mind. If you want your sons to
- 3:50Speaker 1: grow up to be Tim Walls, you hate your sons,
- 3:53Speaker 1: you hate them. He's a disgusting, low rent individual. There's
- 3:59Speaker 1: nothing manly about him. There is nothing valuable or good
- 4:03Speaker 1: about him. The people Minnesota are out of their mind.
- 4:06Speaker 1: When I see that, I am reminded that I'm not
- 4:09Speaker 1: interested in allowing the political left any political victories at
- 4:13Speaker 1: all anywhere. This is how they think. Then, you know,
- 4:17Speaker 1: we had Randy Weingarten who continues this total demonization and
- 4:22Speaker 1: this total dehumanizing of President Trump and of anybody on
- 4:26Speaker 1: the political right. She's invoking pharaohs. We have been fighting
- 4:31Speaker 1: phallohs for thousands and thousands of years.
- 4:36Speaker 2: And the one in the Whitehouse is just as.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Bad as the rest of it.
- 4:40Speaker 2: A Ben, are you ready American labor?
- 4:44Speaker 1: Are you ready? Chicago Labor? Away? I just pass over
- 4:51Speaker 1: in September is pretty rare. You know. The Hebrew calendar
- 4:54Speaker 1: is awkward, but still never gets that late pharaohs. Good gosh.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I don't if she really wants things to be biblical. Okay,
- 5:08Speaker 1: I don't think it works out well for her, but
- 5:11Speaker 1: it is two examples of the level of just detachment,
- 5:17Speaker 1: not only from reality but from morality. Trump's not a pharaoh.
- 5:21Speaker 1: That's just insane. Trump's not Hitler, That's just insane. And
- 5:26Speaker 1: the denigrading of the Holocaust and the denigrading of what
- 5:29Speaker 1: the Nazis did, and this belief that you could take
- 5:34Speaker 1: someone you don't like and decide to equate them to
- 5:36Speaker 1: this other thing, and we allow it, We so freely
- 5:40Speaker 1: allow it, and the Democratic Party so joyfully does it.
- 5:44Speaker 1: It is of course obsceene, and it is breaking people.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It has really been seeping into sept into the culture,
- 5:52Speaker 1: and you've got lefties who believe it, and so much
- 5:54Speaker 1: so that they have lost all concept of morality. Bro Well,
- 6:00Speaker 1: President Trump's not dead. But every day I wake up
- 6:03Speaker 1: and check my phone and I hope that's weird, that's ugly.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And I want you to know how far this has gotten.
- 6:12Speaker 1: This is Stephen Colbert, who still has a show on
- 6:16Speaker 1: CBS and his audience.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Love it, love it, go go. It's great to be
- 6:22Speaker 2: back with all of you. We were on vacation for
- 6:25Speaker 2: three weeks, yes, but I want you to know, Okay,
- 6:27Speaker 2: take this job seriously. And while we were gone, I
- 6:30Speaker 2: still closely followed all the news that was on any
- 6:34Speaker 2: cocktail napkin. This just in my drinking club has a
- 6:40Speaker 2: book problem. When I came back. When I came back
- 6:48Speaker 2: in the office, I was shocked to learn that this
- 6:50Speaker 2: weekend the biggest story was frenzied social media rumors speculating
- 6:55Speaker 2: whether Donald Trump had died. For the record, Donald Trump's
- 7:00Speaker 2: very much alive, Okay, and no, we like our presidents alive.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Nice, say Colbert. The story is the story. Did they
- 7:15Speaker 1: think it was cute? They think it was funny. They
- 7:18Speaker 1: think it was just some kind of little moment between them,
- 7:22Speaker 1: and and and Stephen tells a story, tells a story
- 7:28Speaker 1: about people who are broken. You know, I have been
- 7:33Speaker 1: saying for forever the world is crazy, but we don't
- 7:35Speaker 1: have to be. And then I have co opted to
- 7:39Speaker 1: the extent one can co opt, Kendrick. They not like us,
- 7:45Speaker 1: They're really not. And I would like for them to
- 7:51Speaker 1: be more like us, because I would like for them
- 7:52Speaker 1: to be more decent. But we should never be like them.
- 7:58Speaker 1: If you're wishing for day of your political opponent in
- 8:02Speaker 1: a republic, I that's a level of broken. You don't
- 8:08Speaker 1: think that this is all part and parcel of the
- 8:12Speaker 1: assassination attempts both of them. You don't think this is
- 8:16Speaker 1: all part of the same thing. This isn't people booing
- 8:20Speaker 1: on the side of the road, holding up signs and
- 8:23Speaker 1: say we don't like you, like they did to the
- 8:25Speaker 1: Vice president the other day. This is I can't I'm
- 8:30Speaker 1: bothered that he's still alive. It's a broken people. No,
- 8:35Speaker 1: it is not a sign of Oh it's just a joke.
- 8:37Speaker 1: It's not just a joke. It's not just a joke.
- 8:42Speaker 1: There are plenty of jokes out there. This isn't one
- 8:45Speaker 1: of them. And to not know the difference and call
- 8:48Speaker 1: yourself a comic or a late night host, maybe that's
- 8:51Speaker 1: why you lost the gig, Stephen. You just didn't know
- 8:54Speaker 1: what was funny, or at least for all of America.
- 9:02Speaker 1: It really is that bad. It really is that ugly,
- 9:05Speaker 1: and I'm convinced that the only way out is through.
- 9:08Speaker 1: It's not gonna get fixed overnight. Just gotta keep exposing
- 9:12Speaker 1: how bad these people are, how broken these people are,
- 9:14Speaker 1: how ugly these people are, and keep them out of power.
- 9:18Speaker 1: The longer they're out of power, the better the chance
- 9:22Speaker 1: we have to get through all the madness.
