- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to another episode of the Almost Famous Podcast. Today,
- 0:10Speaker 2: we have a like we know, we always say this
- 0:12Speaker 2: a lot, but we have a very special guest, like
- 0:14Speaker 2: she's exclusive everybody to get her, okay, and I'm like
- 0:20Speaker 2: a little giddy. I put makeup on for this, Like
- 0:22Speaker 2: everybody knows that. When I put makeup on for an interview,
- 0:25Speaker 2: it's like, okay, this is like a bachelor a lister.
- 0:29Speaker 3: So so for example, if Ashley and I just do
- 0:32Speaker 3: an interview with each other.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Like like a roll out of bed anyway, but don't
- 0:39Speaker 2: say anything our guest, don't say anything. You're giggling in
- 0:42Speaker 2: the background, which I like that tease. But look what
- 0:45Speaker 2: we have that I cut vegetables on on the regular.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I've in a windmill and guess what we did it
- 0:51Speaker 2: a second time on a freaking cunning board.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Okay, now you can speak, Hi, Hannah, I didn't know.
- 1:02Speaker 4: I didn't know they made those, but I'm glad.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I don't know. During your season, somebody sent this to
- 1:09Speaker 2: us and it is my favorite cutting board. And then
- 1:12Speaker 2: Jared and I are always like, like, at what point
- 1:14Speaker 2: do we have to hide this because like Dawson will
- 1:17Speaker 2: be able to read.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Well, it's a quality cutting board.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Yeah, Hi, Ana Brown, how you doing?
- 1:24Speaker 4: I'm doing great?
- 1:25Speaker 5: How are y'all so good?
- 1:29Speaker 3: We have a lot to talk to you about today.
- 1:30Speaker 3: You are as usual doing Uh. I wouldn't say a
- 1:35Speaker 3: lot because a lot makes it just sound like you're
- 1:37Speaker 3: doing a lot. You're doing a lot of things well
- 1:39Speaker 3: right now and you have been like you don't lose
- 1:42Speaker 3: like ever.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Yeah. I really need to hear that now because sometimes
- 1:47Speaker 4: I'm like, what am I doing?
- 1:50Speaker 6: But yeah, right now I do feel like I'm doing
- 1:52Speaker 6: it a lot.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Well.
- 1:56Speaker 3: I want you to add well though.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Okay, thank you. I appreciate that.
- 1:59Speaker 3: So this is where I want to start the show.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Though we're going to talk about the podcast, We're going
- 2:04Speaker 3: to talk about the book, We're going to talk about
- 2:06Speaker 3: life now, your move and all of that. But I
- 2:09Speaker 3: was driving today and I was like, what is the
- 2:11Speaker 3: thing that I want to know from Hannah? Like, what
- 2:13Speaker 3: is it that I want on because what we've seen
- 2:16Speaker 3: from you is what we've seen from you is you
- 2:19Speaker 3: dominated kind of the media circus that happens after the show,
- 2:25Speaker 3: and you did it so well and you went on
- 2:27Speaker 3: to compete in a couple other shows and do those
- 2:30Speaker 3: so well, and then something interesting happened this summer is
- 2:34Speaker 3: when you went to Paradise and I felt like everybody
- 2:38Speaker 3: loves you so much and that's great, but they were
- 2:40Speaker 3: like really hyping you up. And what I thought was
- 2:43Speaker 3: that has to be kind of hard for you because
- 2:45Speaker 3: it's like people are holding you to a very high standard.
- 2:48Speaker 3: And granted that's a gift that they know even do that,
- 2:52Speaker 3: but I want to notice start this thing off, Hannah Brown,
- 2:55Speaker 3: can you give us an example, so everybody out here
- 2:57Speaker 3: feels like you're human of a time in the last
- 3:00Speaker 3: two years or recently that you have lost that you
- 3:04Speaker 3: feel like you fell short, that something hasn't worked out
- 3:06Speaker 3: to your plan.
- 3:08Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, it's so interesting, like to hear other
- 3:11Speaker 6: people talk about you in a certain way. It's very
- 3:15Speaker 6: different than the way that I view myself. And I'm
- 3:17Speaker 6: trying to really work on that. Like I guess, I'm
- 3:25Speaker 6: trying to think of like what an instance of it's
- 3:27Speaker 6: a lot of like just self talk that I always
- 3:30Speaker 6: feel like I'm not doing thing as.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Well, You've failed that nothing.
- 3:34Speaker 2: You have a really hot fiance too, your personal life
- 3:37Speaker 2: is thriving.
- 3:38Speaker 6: No, oh my gosh, that's so like, Yes, I have
- 3:41Speaker 6: the best fiance, and I'm so thankful for my personal
- 3:45Speaker 6: life being at the place that it is now.
- 3:47Speaker 4: There's so much behind the.
- 3:49Speaker 6: Scenes and hard work and failures in the process of
- 3:53Speaker 6: a success. I feel like that sometimes just people don't
- 3:58Speaker 6: see you don't assume or you know, I'm in such
- 4:00Speaker 6: a shit show of emotions that I can't.
- 4:04Speaker 4: Present at that time. That's normally what it is.
- 4:06Speaker 6: If you're not seeing me, it's because I'm unwell the
- 4:11Speaker 6: point of like people will be like, do we need
- 4:14Speaker 6: to like intervene or something going on? Like I've had
- 4:17Speaker 6: those moments all in between, but just continue to like
- 4:21Speaker 6: go through. I mean, one example I can have because
- 4:24Speaker 6: I think it's so funny for me now because I
- 4:26Speaker 6: have had some of these successes very like it's almost
- 4:31Speaker 6: bizarre to me that people like think of me as
- 4:34Speaker 6: like winning because in my past even before like I
- 4:38Speaker 6: did pageants, I competed in pageants for like years and
- 4:42Speaker 6: years and years and before I won Missaving Us say,
- 4:45Speaker 6: like I didn't even place in the top ten for years,
- 4:47Speaker 6: which like usually people like, you know you play so
- 4:51Speaker 6: you you know, you're always like creeping up and then
- 4:54Speaker 6: you eventually like do your time and you win the thing.
- 4:57Speaker 6: And so I I remember going to that pageant that
- 5:03Speaker 6: I won and being in the car and be like
- 5:05Speaker 6: why am I doing this to myself again, and my
- 5:08Speaker 6: mom being like, well, like, you.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Know, you're like a first place loser.
- 5:11Speaker 6: At this point, like I had just gotten so good
- 5:13Speaker 6: at just being able, being like I put myself out
- 5:16Speaker 6: there and I've worked so hard, and then just like
- 5:21Speaker 6: not seeing anything like come from it and then having
- 5:24Speaker 6: to kind of like deal with how that made me
- 5:25Speaker 6: feel about myself. So it's funny because and even when
- 5:29Speaker 6: I got to miss USA, like I didn't place at all,
- 5:33Speaker 6: like and I was just I was just happy, honestly,
- 5:38Speaker 6: like just happy to be there because before it just
- 5:42Speaker 6: it was almost like just a true dream come true
- 5:44Speaker 6: and kind of giving up at that point, and to
- 5:48Speaker 6: now people being like thinking of me as somebody who
- 5:50Speaker 6: just like wins everything, because I really I didn't I
- 5:56Speaker 6: showed up. I will say I think I show up,
- 6:01Speaker 6: But I've had a lot of things in my life
- 6:04Speaker 6: and even just like personally like feeling definitely not like
- 6:09Speaker 6: a winner. I've just had some of my like moments
- 6:13Speaker 6: of actually achieving the thing on TV and so that
- 6:17Speaker 6: get what people, I guess just think of. But that's
- 6:19Speaker 6: just like not the case behind the scenes and like
- 6:23Speaker 6: everyday life things. Everything that I do right now, I'm like,
- 6:28Speaker 6: you know, whether it's the podcast and the book I
- 6:30Speaker 6: can I always think I could be winning more and
- 6:34Speaker 6: in some in some way, Yeah.
- 6:37Speaker 2: What is it about TV that makes you win? Like,
- 6:40Speaker 2: is that the pressure is on?
- 6:42Speaker 7: I think?
- 6:44Speaker 6: So I think the things that I've done, I go
- 6:49Speaker 6: into okay, actually I know this. Sorry, I like to
- 6:52Speaker 6: start sentence since don't finish them.
- 6:54Speaker 2: I do that too.
- 6:55Speaker 4: It's really bad.
- 6:56Speaker 2: And that's one of the reasons I initially related to
- 6:59Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, I love how this girl just
- 7:00Speaker 2: like just just talks with her mind.
- 7:03Speaker 4: What am I saying? I don't ever know, but I
- 7:09Speaker 4: I feel like real life is really hard for me.
- 7:11Speaker 6: But when I'm put in like certain like weird situations
- 7:15Speaker 6: where like I'm bubbled and there's only one thing that
- 7:18Speaker 6: I can think of, it's kind of like there's only
- 7:21Speaker 6: one sentence I can I can finish at one time,
- 7:24Speaker 6: versus like all the other thoughts in my head going on.
- 7:27Speaker 6: If that made any sense.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Probably not.
- 7:29Speaker 6: But I feel like when I'm in like controled space
- 7:33Speaker 6: and there's like one mission, I can really hone in
- 7:37Speaker 6: on that and just be dialed in and nothing else matters,
- 7:41Speaker 6: Like genuinely, nothing else matter matters. And I'm like, I'm
- 7:44Speaker 6: just doing this dance show. I'm just doing this survival
- 7:48Speaker 6: special Force of show. I'm just doing this thing trying
- 7:51Speaker 6: to find love. Like I just get really focused in.
- 7:55Speaker 6: And that's not real life though, Like There's always going
- 7:58Speaker 6: to be distractions and things that come up in different feelings,
- 8:01Speaker 6: in different situations going on all around you. So in
- 8:05Speaker 6: real life, like I don't I don't always win, But
- 8:08Speaker 6: when I have something that's just like one thing to
- 8:10Speaker 6: focus on, I do well with that.
- 8:13Speaker 3: What's the thing right now? Like what would you be
- 8:15Speaker 3: focusing in on? I mean, I know the book comes
- 8:17Speaker 3: out May seventh, but you know I've walked through the
- 8:20Speaker 3: releasing of a book process You've obviously have as well.
- 8:23Speaker 3: It's hard to like really figure out, I feel like,
- 8:25Speaker 3: how to like focus in on the releasing of a book.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Like you do the media, you do the prep, you
- 8:30Speaker 3: do the everything you need to do to kind of
- 8:32Speaker 3: make it work. But once it's out there. It's out
- 8:34Speaker 3: of your control to kind of focus on. It's up
- 8:37Speaker 3: to people to buy or not to buy, to read
- 8:40Speaker 3: or not to read. So maybe that's it. Maybe you're
- 8:42Speaker 3: finding out a way to focus in on this better
- 8:44Speaker 3: than I did, and that's why your books are so successful.
- 8:47Speaker 3: But right now, what is like taking up your main focus?
- 8:53Speaker 6: The book really is taking up most of my focus
- 8:56Speaker 6: right now. I'll like do anything in every thing to
- 9:00Speaker 6: just have people hear about the book.
- 9:04Speaker 4: But like you said, it is.
- 9:06Speaker 6: It's different, and there's like it's nuance, and it's not
- 9:09Speaker 6: just like this is a certain way that you win
- 9:13Speaker 6: or get people to sell the books. Like it's it's
- 9:15Speaker 6: not like people have so many other things that they're competing.
- 9:18Speaker 6: I'm competing yet so many different authors, so many different
- 9:21Speaker 6: ways that people can like use their time.
- 9:24Speaker 4: So it's not the same type of thing.
- 9:27Speaker 6: And this has actually been something I really talk a
- 9:30Speaker 6: lot about in therapy because, like I said, real life,
- 9:35Speaker 6: even just like real work life is harder for me
- 9:38Speaker 6: because it's not so like this is the thing that
- 9:43Speaker 6: you do. Everything else stops when you do these shows
- 9:47Speaker 6: like and I do great in that, but that is
- 9:50Speaker 6: just not real life, and not even real like work
- 9:52Speaker 6: life too, So I don't really.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Have anything else because that's like that other.
- 9:58Speaker 6: Than when I'm doing a TV show that I feel like, man,
- 10:00Speaker 6: I can like I can do this, So.
- 10:04Speaker 4: I guess somebody's gotta find me something else to be on.
- 10:11Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Okay, So you had God Bless This Mess, your basically
- 10:15Speaker 2: autobiography come out a couple of years ago, and now
- 10:19Speaker 2: this is a romance fiction novel.
- 10:21Speaker 4: It's called Mistakes.
- 10:22Speaker 2: We Never Made. How is it promoting a book that's
- 10:27Speaker 2: all about like your personal story versus one that is
- 10:31Speaker 2: pretty much made up.
- 10:33Speaker 6: It's such a different experience, for sure. I feel like
- 10:36Speaker 6: the first book was definitely more.
- 10:41Speaker 4: It was.
- 10:41Speaker 6: It was harder in different ways too, like more emotionally exhausting.
- 10:47Speaker 6: It was very vulnerable to have to like show up
- 10:49Speaker 6: and be like, this is my story from from an
- 10:52Speaker 6: and from my account of everything that's happened in my
- 10:55Speaker 6: life and then have everybody kind of like judge that
- 10:58Speaker 6: or I think, see you did differently.
- 11:00Speaker 4: And in some ways it was really great.
- 11:03Speaker 6: For the most part, I feel like people actually got
- 11:05Speaker 6: to see like me more as a full person. But
- 11:09Speaker 6: that was really vulnerable and hard. Where this project is
- 11:14Speaker 6: really hard is that, yeah, it's creating a whole universe
- 11:18Speaker 6: and having to like really work that creative muscle. And
- 11:23Speaker 6: it took a lot of work, just like trying to
- 11:28Speaker 6: make plot points and plan everything out and make sure
- 11:32Speaker 6: that this world really felt human and real.
- 11:37Speaker 4: So very different.
- 11:39Speaker 6: Experiences, but both I think the importance and in both
- 11:45Speaker 6: of these projects is still truth. So obviously that was
- 11:48Speaker 6: my true story, but in this fiction book, this work
- 11:53Speaker 6: of fiction, I think what really makes it resonate with
- 11:56Speaker 6: people is where if it's coming from a place of truth,
- 11:59Speaker 6: and so the thoughts and the feelings and the doubts
- 12:02Speaker 6: and the way that these characters work come from somewhere
- 12:04Speaker 6: that's really real inside of me. And so that's kind
- 12:09Speaker 6: of where they both intertwine as different pieces of work.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Is it based at all on any of your real
- 12:16Speaker 2: life romances?
- 12:19Speaker 6: So I like to say that it's not just one person,
- 12:22Speaker 6: but there's little sprinkles in of like some greatest hits
- 12:25Speaker 6: in my life.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Cute. Yeah, yeah, I mean one of the interesting things
- 12:30Speaker 3: here about writing fiction is this is coming from your
- 12:33Speaker 3: imagination or your fantasy or your your life experience kind
- 12:37Speaker 3: of leading up into one how like, how long did
- 12:40Speaker 3: this story do you believe, not in its entirety, but
- 12:43Speaker 3: kind of maybe in its moments, live inside of you
- 12:47Speaker 3: until now it's coming out in this full form.
- 12:52Speaker 6: Gosh, I would say when it's been years, because I
- 12:57Speaker 6: always wanted to get into writing in some way of
- 13:01Speaker 6: like the big dream that I had thought of some
- 13:03Speaker 6: of the things that I've been able to do in
- 13:05Speaker 6: the past few years where things I couldn't have ever
- 13:08Speaker 6: dreamt up, like could have never imagined that I've had
- 13:11Speaker 6: the opportunity to do. But I always had a big
- 13:16Speaker 6: dream of writing some type of novel, and this project
- 13:20Speaker 6: kind of came to me. And because when I had
- 13:25Speaker 6: my first meeting with an agent, like right after the
- 13:28Speaker 6: Bachelorette and they're like, what do you want to do?
- 13:30Speaker 6: Of course this was like, oh my god, I don't
- 13:32Speaker 6: know what I want to do, but here's like this
- 13:33Speaker 6: big dream I have. So it's been a long time process.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Started on a similar idea that ended up not working out,
- 13:44Speaker 6: and then came back to this about I don't even.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Know time at this point. I feel like it's been.
- 13:49Speaker 6: Probably around two years, but hearts of this book and
- 13:56Speaker 6: idea have been like in my brain for you know,
- 14:00Speaker 6: since probably like college at some point. But I also
- 14:03Speaker 6: had and always want to credit the help that I had.
- 14:06Speaker 6: I had a co author, Emily Larrabee, that really helped
- 14:09Speaker 6: be able to take all these seeds of ideas and
- 14:12Speaker 6: thoughts and the type of characters that I wanted to
- 14:14Speaker 6: create to really make a well thaw out organized story
- 14:21Speaker 6: because as you can tell, I can barely talk.
- 14:25Speaker 3: This is what she says.
- 14:26Speaker 2: But I think that you're very articulate. I think you
- 14:29Speaker 2: express yourself amazingly.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 14:32Speaker 6: But it was really great to be able to work
- 14:34Speaker 6: with somebody who you know, as a professional at this
- 14:37Speaker 6: and then this for years and years and her help
- 14:39Speaker 6: challenge me and help poke calls and things and be
- 14:42Speaker 6: able to really like make something whole and beautiful. And
- 14:46Speaker 6: I'm really really proud of this book and what we've created.
- 15:01Speaker 3: If you were to summarize or to sell it to
- 15:05Speaker 3: the listeners and you know a short period of time here,
- 15:08Speaker 3: what can like, why would they want to pick this
- 15:10Speaker 3: book up outside of it being from you and then
- 15:12Speaker 3: loving you? What about this book do you think they're
- 15:15Speaker 3: going to engage with?
- 15:18Speaker 6: I want people to really get to kind of go
- 15:21Speaker 6: on this journey with the main character Emma, who really
- 15:25Speaker 6: struggles with which I think a lot of a struggle
- 15:28Speaker 6: with like knowing like where it's our place, why we
- 15:32Speaker 6: kind of respond and react the way that we do
- 15:35Speaker 6: towards things, especially big things like love and.
- 15:41Speaker 4: Really get that.
- 15:42Speaker 6: I think one of the scariest things that we can
- 15:45Speaker 6: do and one of the things that can lead we
- 15:47Speaker 6: can think can lead to the most mistakes in life
- 15:50Speaker 6: is taking that risk for love and that it's never
- 15:56Speaker 6: wrong to make them, make them mistake along the way
- 16:02Speaker 6: to finding real love and peace and happiness. And that
- 16:07Speaker 6: kind of goes to what I was saying we were
- 16:09Speaker 6: talking about earlier about like all the things that I've
- 16:11Speaker 6: done in our life and like winning, losing all the things.
- 16:14Speaker 4: I think it's just showing.
- 16:15Speaker 6: Up and doing it scared and believing that the other
- 16:19Speaker 6: side of it you're either going to learn You're going
- 16:22Speaker 6: to learn from it or grow for amo same way,
- 16:25Speaker 6: and or you could just like really find like the
- 16:27Speaker 6: love of your life.
- 16:28Speaker 4: So take the risk and make the mistakes.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Yeah, how did you meet you the love of your life?
- 16:37Speaker 4: How did you do not to meet on a dating app?
- 16:41Speaker 7: Oh?
- 16:41Speaker 3: Really? Which one?
- 16:42Speaker 4: Yeah? Hinge?
- 16:46Speaker 6: Wow?
- 16:47Speaker 2: You too, both on Hinge Like now jackpot, So what
- 16:51Speaker 2: was how did the first date come about? Was he
- 16:54Speaker 2: like one of those guys that prolongs the messaging?
- 16:56Speaker 4: Oh no, it was like the second message.
- 16:59Speaker 6: So I got tired of stuff I was doing, like
- 17:05Speaker 6: one of my friends, like, we're done with all this,
- 17:07Speaker 6: and she took me a trip to Cago and she
- 17:09Speaker 6: was like, we're getting me back out there. We're doing
- 17:12Speaker 6: the thing, and she made me the stating profile. One night,
- 17:16Speaker 6: like over a glass of wine, we did the whole
- 17:18Speaker 6: thing and go to Cago.
- 17:20Speaker 8: We put out the profile, and I got really lucky,
- 17:26Speaker 8: Like I ben thought, Okay, I'm just gonna like make
- 17:29Speaker 8: content about this and this will be great.
- 17:31Speaker 6: People like I'll just go on these dates and talk
- 17:34Speaker 6: about it. And I started doing that and they were
- 17:36Speaker 6: doing really great and it was really fun. And then
- 17:39Speaker 6: I popped up on like the profile and I actually
- 17:44Speaker 6: liked his photo first, and I liked the one photo
- 17:47Speaker 6: because but on each of our profile we had a
- 17:50Speaker 6: picture on this same street that ended up being the
- 17:52Speaker 6: street that I was living on at the time, So
- 17:55Speaker 6: I liked that photo. And then he saw my profile
- 17:58Speaker 6: and saw that I had on the same street and
- 18:00Speaker 6: he was like, oh, you're You're on my street and
- 18:03Speaker 6: I was like, wait, you're on mine, like I live here.
- 18:06Speaker 6: So we ended up living three houses.
- 18:08Speaker 4: Down from each other.
- 18:09Speaker 6: Whoa And it was so cute and I had just
- 18:14Speaker 6: moved but when I started the profile, I was there
- 18:16Speaker 6: and so anyway, but it was still like down the
- 18:19Speaker 6: street and yeah.
- 18:22Speaker 4: He like that was our little conversation and he was like, hey,
- 18:25Speaker 4: I'd love to get.
- 18:26Speaker 6: To know you better, like do you want to go
- 18:29Speaker 6: get a drink this Thursday?
- 18:31Speaker 4: And I was like perfect. So yeah, he was very.
- 18:34Speaker 6: Direct and I love that. I would be like any
- 18:37Speaker 6: advice I have for anybody on the apps, like that
- 18:41Speaker 6: is so important, Like we don't have time to just
- 18:43Speaker 6: go back and forth on this app. We need to
- 18:46Speaker 6: like see each other or at least get a voice
- 18:48Speaker 6: memo or something going because.
- 18:50Speaker 4: He can't do that.
- 18:52Speaker 2: So when did he bring up or did you bring up? Like, okay,
- 18:55Speaker 2: elephant in the room, you know I was the bachelorette
- 18:58Speaker 2: because you're not like really like one of those battes
- 19:00Speaker 2: that you can just you couldn't hide that you were
- 19:03Speaker 2: the bachelor, like like the country knew Hannah Brown was.
- 19:05Speaker 6: The bachelorette yeah, So he did not know who I
- 19:11Speaker 6: was at first, Like when he saw my profile, he
- 19:13Speaker 6: was just like, oh, like.
- 19:16Speaker 4: I had a really good profile. We'll see it was good.
- 19:21Speaker 6: It had all the different hands you needed in there
- 19:24Speaker 6: and like it was it was top notch.
- 19:26Speaker 4: But he was like, I don't know.
- 19:30Speaker 6: There was just something in me that was like I'm
- 19:32Speaker 6: gonna just try to like type in like the stuff
- 19:34Speaker 6: that I know about you from your profile, and of
- 19:37Speaker 6: course he sees who I am, like it's like a
- 19:40Speaker 6: few minutes before he goes into the date. And with
- 19:43Speaker 6: seeing that I was making these videos of going on
- 19:46Speaker 6: these dates, about these guys that would go to the
- 19:48Speaker 6: boundary during the date and know what was going on,
- 19:52Speaker 6: and he was like okay, like he knew what was happening.
- 19:56Speaker 4: It was so funny.
- 19:57Speaker 6: Didn't say anything until I go to the bathroom and
- 19:59Speaker 6: he goes, are you gonna leave.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Your phone there? Are you taking the phone with you?
- 20:03Speaker 5: And it was very obvious he had like seen he
- 20:07Speaker 5: was like, oh my goes like I hadn't videoed anything
- 20:11Speaker 5: with this, and I hadn't because I saw him, I
- 20:14Speaker 5: was like, oh, like I immediately like was like.
- 20:17Speaker 4: I just want to like see this one through.
- 20:21Speaker 6: So then of course we talked about it, but I
- 20:24Speaker 6: still don't think he really under understood Bachelor Nation or
- 20:30Speaker 6: the show that much.
- 20:31Speaker 4: I mean, of course he had heard.
- 20:32Speaker 6: About it, but didn't know like how that would be
- 20:35Speaker 6: a part of our lives and our journey until we
- 20:39Speaker 6: really got into it, because I kind of kept our
- 20:40Speaker 6: relationship to ourself to myself for a while and then
- 20:44Speaker 6: he really got got.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Thrown into it.
- 20:48Speaker 3: There's there's a lot here that I First off, you know,
- 20:52Speaker 3: I'm sure there's so many saddened that that profile couldn't
- 20:56Speaker 3: have lived a little bit longer and had a little
- 20:57Speaker 3: more life span, especially since it was so good. Kind
- 21:00Speaker 3: of sounds like it came in away. Second, I've never
- 21:04Speaker 3: met ad him. I'm assuming he's a very good man
- 21:07Speaker 3: if he literally held on to this secret of you
- 21:11Speaker 3: filming these dates until the perfect moment. I love that move.
- 21:15Speaker 3: What a great move by him, What an incredible just like, yeah,
- 21:19Speaker 3: you don't you don't scare me, hand a Brown, Yes,
- 21:23Speaker 3: when did you know he was the one? Like I
- 21:25Speaker 3: wanted to hear you that this was not only something
- 21:28Speaker 3: you want to pursue, but something now that you wanted
- 21:30Speaker 3: to commit to.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Gosh, I don't think it was really a moment.
- 21:40Speaker 6: For me. I have always I think from the show,
- 21:46Speaker 6: I'm so thankful for it totally.
- 21:47Speaker 4: But there was a lot that that hurt me. In between.
- 21:51Speaker 6: There were stories that I was starting to tell tell
- 21:54Speaker 6: myself about love who I am.
- 21:58Speaker 4: Oh, yeah it was, it was.
- 22:00Speaker 6: It was hard, and even when I met Adam, I
- 22:02Speaker 6: wasn't I was trying to like move on, but wasn't
- 22:07Speaker 6: really looking for a long term thing at the point,
- 22:12Speaker 6: Like I just I thought there was something like broken
- 22:15Speaker 6: about me, and.
- 22:16Speaker 4: And I was. I had a lot that I was
- 22:18Speaker 4: dealing with.
- 22:19Speaker 6: And one of my main stories that I tell myself
- 22:22Speaker 6: is I'm a burden and so that's why I really
- 22:24Speaker 6: like can close up and is slate and I only want.
- 22:28Speaker 4: People to see me when I'm good, And I knew.
- 22:32Speaker 6: I was like, I'm like I'm not good, Like I
- 22:34Speaker 6: can I can like show up for a date, but
- 22:36Speaker 6: like if somebody really is coming into my world right now,
- 22:38Speaker 6: like it's it's not.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 22:43Speaker 6: And I only I thought that the only way somebody
- 22:45Speaker 6: can love me is if I can show up those ways, and.
- 22:47Speaker 4: He really showed me through.
- 22:51Speaker 6: Our first was her first like until like this past year,
- 22:55Speaker 6: like first three two and a half years of relationship
- 22:58Speaker 6: was really hard, and he showed me that I was
- 23:00Speaker 6: lovable in any way that I showed up and when
- 23:07Speaker 6: I was at my absolute.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Worst, like he loved me and showed up for me
- 23:11Speaker 4: and was there for me. So it really was like.
- 23:15Speaker 6: Not a moment, but just the consistency of him showing
- 23:19Speaker 6: me that I was lovable and worthy and even at
- 23:25Speaker 6: my absolute lowest of low and that just made me
- 23:29Speaker 6: realize like, oh, this is somebody that I want to
- 23:33Speaker 6: do life with and have like really great times with
- 23:37Speaker 6: and be able and know that we can get through
- 23:39Speaker 6: really hard times too.
- 23:41Speaker 3: My final relationship question here, how is that experience from him?
- 23:50Speaker 3: And this can happen vice versa. I'm sure if he
- 23:52Speaker 3: was sitting here too, he would say that you've done
- 23:54Speaker 3: the same for him in so many different ways. But
- 23:56Speaker 3: we're talking to you now, so we're going to focus
- 23:58Speaker 3: on you. How has his consistency in allowing you to
- 24:02Speaker 3: show up in whatever space you're in, proving to you
- 24:07Speaker 3: that you are lovable? How has that changed you or
- 24:11Speaker 3: not changed you?
- 24:12Speaker 2: Now?
- 24:12Speaker 3: Like as you sit here today as a person.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Oh, it's changed me so much like really knowing that.
- 24:27Speaker 6: Really, I mean, it was the first time that I
- 24:29Speaker 6: really knew and believed that I didn't have to perform
- 24:35Speaker 6: for love has been just like such a huge experience
- 24:40Speaker 6: or even like in love in any way love and
- 24:42Speaker 6: relationships of course romantically, but also in the relationships with
- 24:48Speaker 6: friends with family, Like the love that I deserve is
- 24:51Speaker 6: to be able to show up as I am and
- 24:56Speaker 6: be vulnerable in that way, and that there are people
- 24:59Speaker 6: that will.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Love me.
- 25:03Speaker 6: For who I am and as I am in that
- 25:06Speaker 6: time and will ride the ways with me and but
- 25:08Speaker 6: also challenge me.
- 25:09Speaker 4: I think that's all. It's not that like Adam is
- 25:13Speaker 4: somebody that just allows me to be.
- 25:17Speaker 6: In a you know, in in all the that he
- 25:22Speaker 6: allows me to be in the emotions, but he does
- 25:24Speaker 6: speak truth and light into into who I really am.
- 25:26Speaker 6: Even when I don't feel or believe those good things
- 25:30Speaker 6: about me. He always like tries to lift me up.
- 25:35Speaker 6: And so it's really changed the way that I view
- 25:39Speaker 6: what like love is just in general, like my definition
- 25:43Speaker 6: of love has changed so much.
- 25:45Speaker 4: What I believed it was to.
- 25:48Speaker 6: Fall in love with someone or be in love with
- 25:50Speaker 6: someone is like a totally different experience I've had to
- 25:56Speaker 6: really relearn, and it takes a lot of work, and
- 26:02Speaker 6: especially if you have like a tough background when it
- 26:08Speaker 6: comes to like love, like what love was like.
- 26:11Speaker 4: In your.
- 26:13Speaker 6: In your household, in your like previous relationships, there's a
- 26:17Speaker 6: lot of unlearning that has to be done and it
- 26:20Speaker 6: can be really really painful and hard to like gosh,
- 26:26Speaker 6: realize like what you think about yourself or how you've
- 26:30Speaker 6: continued these patterns. And but man, I've just had like
- 26:35Speaker 6: a rock with me the whole time. And he's also
- 26:37Speaker 6: like like you you said, Ben, like he has its
- 26:40Speaker 6: own stuff. He is he is great and awesome, but
- 26:43Speaker 6: he is not He is not perfect. And it's been
- 26:46Speaker 6: really cool to also go on this journey with him
- 26:49Speaker 6: to be able to call out the the things in
- 26:53Speaker 6: his life that he's believed about himself, whether that's being
- 26:57Speaker 6: broken or burden or whatever, and really.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Be able to lift each other up together. It's been
- 27:01Speaker 4: really cool and I'm so thankful.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Really, this is so special. I'm so glad that you've
- 27:07Speaker 2: gone through this and that you have each other. Why
- 27:10Speaker 2: did you mc guys decide to make the move to
- 27:13Speaker 2: Nashville versus La?
- 27:17Speaker 4: Yeah, so we met in La. But Adam had lived
- 27:20Speaker 4: here for seven years before he lived in LA for.
- 27:25Speaker 6: A bit, and I always thought I would end up
- 27:27Speaker 6: in Nashville because I'm from Alabama.
- 27:29Speaker 4: My hometown's like three and a half hours away and
- 27:32Speaker 4: always easy.
- 27:33Speaker 2: That's nice.
- 27:33Speaker 6: Yeah, it's great because it's still it's like booming, but
- 27:38Speaker 6: there's a lot to do. But I also can be
- 27:40Speaker 6: close to my family. And it was so weird. We
- 27:46Speaker 6: we had an amazing place in Santa Monica.
- 27:50Speaker 2: I know, I remember seeing it on Instagram all the time.
- 27:53Speaker 3: It was beautiful, it.
- 27:54Speaker 4: Was so beautiful.
- 27:57Speaker 6: The rent was absolutely insane, to be honest, like it was.
- 28:01Speaker 6: It was crazy, and but I was like, this is
- 28:06Speaker 6: where I want to live, but we need more space.
- 28:10Speaker 6: And it would go went from our crazy rent to like,
- 28:15Speaker 6: you know, a lot of million dollar house the eight
- 28:19Speaker 6: million dollar houses. I'm like, I'm not there, spoiler, I'm
- 28:22Speaker 6: not there yet. And I was like, what are we
- 28:26Speaker 6: gonna do? Are we going to keep just like spending
- 28:28Speaker 6: this much on rent? Like but then I don't want
- 28:30Speaker 6: to leave this tamp this this place. But I always
- 28:34Speaker 6: had like Nashville in the back of my mind, and
- 28:36Speaker 6: we're like okay, We're like, look, we can always come
- 28:39Speaker 6: back here. We were thinking about our our at least
- 28:41Speaker 6: was coming up doing something else, and Nashville came up
- 28:45Speaker 6: in the conversation and then we were like we're to
- 28:48Speaker 6: sleep on.
- 28:49Speaker 4: And then the next day Adam gets a.
- 28:51Speaker 6: Call from an old employer in Nashville ask him if
- 28:55Speaker 6: he wanted to get back into his old job, and
- 28:59Speaker 6: that like just seeing if he would, if he'd be
- 29:03Speaker 6: interested in like what our plans were.
- 29:05Speaker 4: So it was so weird. Literally the next day that's.
- 29:07Speaker 6: About and then yeah, we ended up being like, well
- 29:11Speaker 6: this is a sign and he's not even still with
- 29:13Speaker 6: that job, but that's what brought us.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Out here, And yeah, I really love it. I had
- 29:19Speaker 4: a hard time this summer, I mean this winter.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Because it was dark and you were seeing all your
- 29:24Speaker 2: friends in La and it's so nice.
- 29:27Speaker 4: I know, I guess that was really hard, but like
- 29:29Speaker 4: now you know, i'll have one good month.
- 29:33Speaker 2: You'll have way more than one. Well, he does get
- 29:36Speaker 2: super hot and he went there, but still it's better
- 29:38Speaker 2: that then.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Wild they complain about any weather. I had four foot
- 29:43Speaker 3: of snow.
- 29:44Speaker 4: I mean, you like it, I genuinely could. I I'm
- 29:47Speaker 4: here again. I can never see snow again and be happy.
- 29:51Speaker 4: I hate the cold.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I don't agree.
- 29:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I want to be warm.
- 29:56Speaker 6: I actually I just want to be like in a
- 29:58Speaker 6: nice sixty five with a light breeze at all times,
- 30:04Speaker 6: which is LA.
- 30:05Speaker 4: So I'm like that I missed that a lot. But
- 30:08Speaker 4: the community here's really great.
- 30:10Speaker 3: National is a great place. You're gonna love it, I
- 30:13Speaker 3: think fits you.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Yeah, it seems like you're like Nashville Barbie.
- 30:20Speaker 4: All right, I'll take that.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Yeah, that's awesome.
- 30:23Speaker 6: I'm still like trying to like get I mean, we've
- 30:27Speaker 6: made some so many great great friends here, but still
- 30:31Speaker 6: trying to like get involved in the community and stuff.
- 30:33Speaker 4: But yeah, it makes sense, It totally makes sense.
- 30:37Speaker 6: I'm still like super Southern to the core, but I
- 30:41Speaker 6: want I love being in a place that has like
- 30:43Speaker 6: a lot to do and offers a lot as far
- 30:46Speaker 6: as just like.
- 30:49Speaker 4: For our future. And I'm happy.
- 30:53Speaker 6: But I'm going to LA next week to like get
- 30:56Speaker 6: my little fix and then I'll come home.
- 30:59Speaker 8: I do that too.
- 31:00Speaker 3: You'll learn to love it more when you can only
- 31:02Speaker 3: be out there for a week, trust me.
- 31:14Speaker 6: All right.
- 31:15Speaker 3: I have two questions kind of back to back, but
- 31:17Speaker 3: it starts with one and it's going to end on
- 31:18Speaker 3: the other. I'm hearing your story now since we've talked
- 31:23Speaker 3: about your book, and this main character Emma in your
- 31:27Speaker 3: book is Emma you like, it sounds like a lot
- 31:32Speaker 3: of what you're talking about when it comes to your
- 31:34Speaker 3: insecurities and your relationship with Adam and then kind of
- 31:37Speaker 3: your move and your thought process on life. It sounds
- 31:39Speaker 3: a lot like what you're teasing for the book.
- 31:42Speaker 4: Yeah, she's a part of me.
- 31:45Speaker 6: So the way this book kind of all came about
- 31:47Speaker 6: was actually through the female friendship in the book. I
- 31:51Speaker 6: really I think one of the greatest loves of your
- 31:55Speaker 6: life can be with your friends. And so it started
- 31:58Speaker 6: with the idea of this were for this group of
- 32:02Speaker 6: girls in the book being different parts of who I am.
- 32:07Speaker 6: I mean, there's there's an obvious character like Nikki, who
- 32:11Speaker 6: was one of the girls in the front in the
- 32:15Speaker 6: girl group, like she was the the lead on a
- 32:21Speaker 6: show called Love By where it was a dating show.
- 32:24Speaker 6: There's there's Sybil, who's kind of the one that just
- 32:28Speaker 6: floats around and can't really commit to things and can
- 32:31Speaker 6: be just interesting, kind of complicated, but like lovable. And
- 32:40Speaker 6: then there's Emma, who's definitely the part of me that
- 32:44Speaker 6: kind of feels like I have to have things figured out,
- 32:51Speaker 6: that sometimes has the need to control, has a lot
- 32:58Speaker 6: of like stuff in their pass that she needs to
- 33:02Speaker 6: tackle head on because it's really showing up, and how
- 33:06Speaker 6: she's like not able to fully give into a relationship.
- 33:17Speaker 6: So yeah, it's she is a part of me, but
- 33:20Speaker 6: not not me at all at the same at the
- 33:23Speaker 6: same time, like this is totally a work of fiction.
- 33:26Speaker 6: But like I said, the thing that connects this book
- 33:30Speaker 6: so even like my last book is there you have
- 33:33Speaker 6: to write her o a place of truth. I can't
- 33:35Speaker 6: just like make up anything, Like how are people really
- 33:37Speaker 6: going to connect that if I can't connect to it?
- 33:40Speaker 6: So the feelings and the thoughts that Emma have are
- 33:43Speaker 6: definitely thoughts and feelings that I.
- 33:46Speaker 4: Have or have had in my past.
- 33:50Speaker 3: So you talk about this book then, and you entering
- 33:54Speaker 3: into it, you have a very successful podcast, You've just
- 33:59Speaker 3: made this big move even life, you are the winner
- 34:02Speaker 3: of so many things, especially on national television. It really
- 34:06Speaker 3: feels like your sweet spot, And how do you go
- 34:10Speaker 3: about making the decision to enter into stuff or not? Then?
- 34:14Speaker 3: Because even with this book, it sounds like it's vulnerable,
- 34:17Speaker 3: like you're going to release a lot of your inner thoughts,
- 34:19Speaker 3: your inner feelings, and if all these characters are a
- 34:22Speaker 3: piece of you in some way, people are going to
- 34:24Speaker 3: get a more, you know, an even larger perspective on
- 34:29Speaker 3: you as a person. So when you have all these
- 34:32Speaker 3: opportunities kind of laying in front of you, or are
- 34:34Speaker 3: these decisions, how are you going about making the decision
- 34:37Speaker 3: to say yes or no to them?
- 34:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I've had to get a little bit more clear
- 34:44Speaker 6: on that as I'm trying to just figure out, like
- 34:47Speaker 6: who the heck am I not who people like have
- 34:50Speaker 6: labeled me to be or thought of me to be.
- 34:53Speaker 4: I think I got a little.
- 34:57Speaker 6: Internally, at least a little loss in that how what
- 35:00Speaker 6: people liked about me versus who I actually was. And
- 35:05Speaker 6: I'm just trying to make sure that everything is in
- 35:07Speaker 6: alignment to who like I really am and.
- 35:13Speaker 4: If it doesn't feel.
- 35:14Speaker 6: Right or aligned with like my core values or what
- 35:16Speaker 6: I want to be able to put out in the
- 35:18Speaker 6: world or challenge myself in some way to see myself
- 35:23Speaker 6: in a different light.
- 35:24Speaker 4: But like.
- 35:28Speaker 6: That is kind of how I base everything. Like when
- 35:32Speaker 6: I did like Special Forces, for example, like that was
- 35:34Speaker 6: really just too I was in such a place like
- 35:37Speaker 6: I kind of alluded to earlier, like not the best place,
- 35:40Speaker 6: especially like belief in myself of what I was capable of.
- 35:45Speaker 4: I was going through some health stuff too, so it
- 35:47Speaker 4: really it pushed me.
- 35:50Speaker 6: To know that I was like much more capable than
- 35:53Speaker 6: I to do things and I believed in myself to be.
- 35:59Speaker 6: So if it it comes from something like that, I
- 36:02Speaker 6: really just like challenging myself to push myself more. Like
- 36:05Speaker 6: I'm totally down for that, but it just has to
- 36:07Speaker 6: be in alignment to who I actually am. And if
- 36:12Speaker 6: it's not, then I don't want to be a part
- 36:14Speaker 6: of that because honestly, like.
- 36:16Speaker 4: I don't know how to fake it. Uh, it doesn't
- 36:20Speaker 4: work out for me.
- 36:22Speaker 6: That's why I either am going to show up and
- 36:24Speaker 6: it's going to be like really messy or I just
- 36:26Speaker 6: like don't show up at all. And maybe sometimes I
- 36:29Speaker 6: just really nail it on the first go, but that
- 36:31Speaker 6: is far between.
- 36:33Speaker 4: But to ask me.
- 36:34Speaker 6: To be something that I'm just not like, I I
- 36:38Speaker 6: can't do it because it'll be really really bad.
- 36:40Speaker 2: That's why everybody loves you though, That's why you were
- 36:43Speaker 2: one of the greatest bachelorettes because you cannot fake it.
- 36:46Speaker 2: There is not like an ounce of being able to act.
- 36:49Speaker 2: And that's why I wanted you to be the Bachelorette
- 36:51Speaker 2: so bad because watching you in Colton season, I was like,
- 36:54Speaker 2: this girl is so me like, and that's what so
- 36:57Speaker 2: many girls out there, I thought, because like there's very
- 36:59Speaker 2: few times, well it just seems like so many girls
- 37:03Speaker 2: on the show are so poised and they're just so
- 37:06Speaker 2: comfortable around the guy.
- 37:07Speaker 4: And I'm like, what, no, yeah, not me. But then
- 37:12Speaker 4: it's weird because then you get in these experiences and
- 37:14Speaker 4: then you feel.
- 37:15Speaker 6: Like like I've always struggled this when I was and
- 37:19Speaker 6: pat is like I would miss out being but being myself.
- 37:21Speaker 4: I became the Bachelotte by being myself.
- 37:24Speaker 6: But then there's like this thing like this, like these
- 37:26Speaker 6: little whispers inside of me that are like want me
- 37:29Speaker 6: to try to change or I feel like it was
- 37:32Speaker 6: a fluke, or they don't know what they really don't
- 37:35Speaker 6: They actually really don't want to be with me. People
- 37:37Speaker 6: are disappointed, and that's when I that is when that
- 37:40Speaker 6: friction comes.
- 37:41Speaker 4: That's when I really struggle.
- 37:46Speaker 6: When time and time again, the times that I've really
- 37:50Speaker 6: been successful was when I I haven't let those whispers
- 37:54Speaker 6: and thoughts get in my head, and I've truly been.
- 37:56Speaker 4: Able to just be like this is me, and if
- 37:58Speaker 4: you don't.
- 37:59Speaker 6: Like that or doesn't resonate with you, that's okay, like
- 38:02Speaker 6: somebody else with will.
- 38:04Speaker 4: But it's been definitely sorry, I keep moving. So it's
- 38:10Speaker 4: definitely been a cycle. Well it's because of my freaking toes.
- 38:14Speaker 6: But then also this, I've talked about this way too much.
- 38:19Speaker 6: You're pressed, but I had any room removal surgery and
- 38:23Speaker 6: my toes hurt.
- 38:24Speaker 4: But I'm trying to like sit, There's just a lot
- 38:26Speaker 4: going on.
- 38:27Speaker 2: So I can't sit with just my legs straight, with
- 38:29Speaker 2: my feet on the floor. I hate that. It's the worst.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Same so when I have a podcast, I like sit
- 38:34Speaker 2: on my legs they're crossed. I'm like up high, I'm
- 38:37Speaker 2: down low. I cannot just sit like you would on
- 38:40Speaker 2: a plane, which I think.
- 38:40Speaker 4: Is okay, say a lot. I don't even see the
- 38:43Speaker 4: plane like that, and it's but.
- 38:45Speaker 6: I I'm sitting in a place that's usually comfortable for me.
- 38:49Speaker 6: But then I have the ingram tonels. I think I'm like,
- 38:53Speaker 6: this is I shouldn't be sitting like this.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Okay, this is a great transition to some fun yet
- 38:58Speaker 2: very very juicy questions that I have lined up for you. Okay, perfect, Okay,
- 39:03Speaker 2: We'll start with like the least juicy. When you found
- 39:06Speaker 2: out that Nick and Tyler are both doing Special Forces,
- 39:10Speaker 2: were you like these mother efforts, like they cannot they
- 39:13Speaker 2: can't well, they can't win.
- 39:17Speaker 4: I was.
- 39:19Speaker 6: I was interested to see how they did, for sure,
- 39:23Speaker 6: because it's such a like mental thing and.
- 39:28Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't know Nick that well at all.
- 39:30Speaker 6: But with Tyler, I figured physically he would be able
- 39:34Speaker 6: to do this stuff. But I was really interested, like
- 39:36Speaker 6: mentally but was I was completely shocked and I found
- 39:39Speaker 6: out they both went too.
- 39:40Speaker 4: I was like, you gotta be like this is this
- 39:42Speaker 4: is wild. But I just had to run myself. I
- 39:44Speaker 4: did first, I know.
- 39:46Speaker 2: And how funny were those jokes where they like line
- 39:48Speaker 2: all three of your you know, your pictures together and
- 39:53Speaker 2: it would be like what do they go through on
- 39:54Speaker 2: the Bachelor that makes them so good at this?
- 39:58Speaker 7: I'm telling you though, it is it really did, Like
- 40:01Speaker 7: I noticed that so much on the show, Like because
- 40:05Speaker 7: we're in like such a bubble, I don't think I
- 40:06Speaker 7: will really realize like what it's like.
- 40:10Speaker 6: To be on the Bachelor bachelortt like you have no
- 40:12Speaker 6: control over anything, like you don't have a phone, Like
- 40:15Speaker 6: people were really having a hard time like not having
- 40:18Speaker 6: access to their phone and being able to reach out
- 40:21Speaker 6: to people, or.
- 40:22Speaker 4: It's a social The Bachelor Rachelotte is like a social
- 40:26Speaker 4: experiment in a lot of ways, and so was the show.
- 40:30Speaker 6: So I think it really prepped me for that, like
- 40:32Speaker 6: I said, just being like totally focused on one thing,
- 40:35Speaker 6: whether that's our relationship or just surviving a desert. I
- 40:42Speaker 6: do think that it prepared prepares us all pretty well.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Obviously it has, especially without like vulnerability emotional aspect that
- 40:54Speaker 2: they put you through.
- 40:56Speaker 6: Yeah, but it's you know, like with the shows that
- 40:59Speaker 6: we've all been on, the producers are like super involved
- 41:01Speaker 6: in it.
- 41:02Speaker 4: We're like, yeah, there is not any producers.
- 41:05Speaker 6: Like I truly survived of being like okay, you are
- 41:10Speaker 6: still on a TV show, even though it doesn't feel
- 41:12Speaker 6: like it, Like it feels like I'm just left with
- 41:14Speaker 6: these really big scars, not going to die. You are
- 41:19Speaker 6: not going to die. There are cameras at least I
- 41:21Speaker 6: see cameras. They're not going to let me die. Where
- 41:25Speaker 6: the producer interaction is like so huge on of course,
- 41:30Speaker 6: like any Bachelor show, so like that was a big difference,
- 41:33Speaker 6: but as far as like psychological warfare, different.
- 41:38Speaker 4: But the same.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Okay, So I was listening to you on this She's
- 41:42Speaker 2: All Batch podcast and they asked you what would have
- 41:47Speaker 2: happened if Adam was on your season and you had
- 41:52Speaker 2: It was a great explanation, but like, you know, go
- 41:54Speaker 2: go ahead and listen to that if you want, but
- 41:56Speaker 2: I want to ask you what would have happened? Where
- 41:59Speaker 2: would your life would have been now if you picked
- 42:02Speaker 2: Tyler over Jed.
- 42:05Speaker 6: I don't know, I genuinely I don't know. I think
- 42:12Speaker 6: it would be a miracle we were still together.
- 42:16Speaker 4: I think there.
- 42:18Speaker 6: That's just I give props to people like you actually
- 42:23Speaker 6: that have been able to, like I think it's a
- 42:25Speaker 6: really hard way to start a relationship and you have
- 42:28Speaker 6: to like really love and like be.
- 42:32Speaker 4: Support each other in that.
- 42:34Speaker 6: It's just been my own experience that I like, really
- 42:37Speaker 6: admire people who have and truly believe that those are
- 42:40Speaker 6: people that were supposed to meet each other and that's
- 42:42Speaker 6: what the show is for people like you, guys, But
- 42:45Speaker 6: for a lot of us, it's it's it's a tough
- 42:49Speaker 6: way to start a relationship. So you know, I really
- 42:55Speaker 6: I don't know how to answer that. I think what
- 42:58Speaker 6: I've talked about, she's all just like what I mentioned,
- 43:03Speaker 6: like the thoughts in the way that I viewed myself
- 43:07Speaker 6: as a lead. I definitely obviously had moments of like
- 43:10Speaker 6: strength and like coming to know who I am, which
- 43:13Speaker 6: really started on The Bachelor as they had like baby
- 43:16Speaker 6: deer feet.
- 43:16Speaker 4: I was just like being like, oh, well, I actually
- 43:18Speaker 4: can do.
- 43:19Speaker 6: This, but then was like tore completely down and really
- 43:22Speaker 6: started thinking of myself in ways that weren't really helpful for.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Being able to really know the.
- 43:31Speaker 6: People that were genuinely there for me or not, and
- 43:34Speaker 6: even believing that there were people that were actually there
- 43:37Speaker 6: for me. It's a really interesting thing to like when
- 43:40Speaker 6: you break it down that the person that I ended
- 43:43Speaker 6: up choosing with someone who was honest with me about
- 43:47Speaker 6: his intentions not being there, but that resonated with me
- 43:50Speaker 6: because that's what I believed.
- 43:52Speaker 4: I believe that nobody.
- 43:53Speaker 6: Was there for me, so I was like, oh, at
- 43:54Speaker 6: least somebody's being honest, so I'm gonna pick that guy.
- 43:59Speaker 6: And not to say like me and Jed we we
- 44:03Speaker 6: had like chemistry set, but like he that was where
- 44:08Speaker 6: my mind was, so like who knows who I would
- 44:10Speaker 6: have been with or what would have happened with anyone
- 44:14Speaker 6: on that show.
- 44:15Speaker 2: But yeah, I guess we got to throw Peter in
- 44:17Speaker 2: there too, because you also had like the lingering feelings
- 44:19Speaker 2: of Peter, and we saw like you were on his
- 44:21Speaker 2: season for a second. But also in the way that
- 44:24Speaker 2: things happen with Tyler, I actually feel like you did
- 44:26Speaker 2: in a way get to sort of pick him or
- 44:30Speaker 2: experiment what life would have been like with him through
- 44:33Speaker 2: the COVID House and then through just what happened on
- 44:37Speaker 2: after the Final Rows and all that. Like you you
- 44:40Speaker 2: kind of got to vibe that, and you probably would
- 44:43Speaker 2: not have been right.
- 44:44Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I think so.
- 44:46Speaker 6: I also I have, like great, I just have compassion
- 44:50Speaker 6: with that time of my life, for myself, for him,
- 44:53Speaker 6: for everyone involved, and you know, he obviously was going
- 44:58Speaker 6: through so much much too, and probably weren't the best
- 45:03Speaker 6: versions of ourself during that time.
- 45:06Speaker 4: But that just it.
- 45:08Speaker 6: Didn't didn't work out, And I'm like, you know, I
- 45:12Speaker 6: grew so much from that I learned. I think it
- 45:14Speaker 6: honestly like all that propelled my my healing journey to
- 45:18Speaker 6: be able to really.
- 45:22Speaker 4: Find find the love that I have now. So yeah, yeah, Okay.
- 45:27Speaker 2: My last question is, like, this is how it turned
- 45:31Speaker 2: out for you. This is the weirdest thing that your
- 45:34Speaker 2: sister in law is now the person that was dating,
- 45:41Speaker 2: Like it's is it's still really weird. They've been married
- 45:44Speaker 2: for a little bit now you your brother and her,
- 45:48Speaker 2: and it's just like is that something of the past now,
- 45:52Speaker 2: Like how did we get along?
- 45:54Speaker 3: I don't even know how you remember this stuff? Actually,
- 45:56Speaker 3: I like you're saying this, I'm like, what's she go?
- 45:58Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I forgot that that was even a thing.
- 46:00Speaker 2: But like also maybe it was all meant to be
- 46:02Speaker 2: because your brother should.
- 46:04Speaker 4: Love I mean that is how I have to have
- 46:07Speaker 4: to view it at this point.
- 46:08Speaker 6: But like also I think we all know and I
- 46:11Speaker 6: can say this, like we're in a much better situation now,
- 46:15Speaker 6: but like it was messed up, like it was. I
- 46:18Speaker 6: had a really hard time with it. Of like, for sure,
- 46:23Speaker 6: it was weird, but like they are married now and
- 46:28Speaker 6: she is a part of my family and honestly, like
- 46:31Speaker 6: they really are. They have a really great relationship and
- 46:35Speaker 6: she loves him very much, and I know.
- 46:37Speaker 4: My brother really loves her.
- 46:39Speaker 6: And my brother has been through so much and it's
- 46:44Speaker 6: been in a lot of different seasons of life that
- 46:48Speaker 6: were not that were really hard to watch and and
- 46:52Speaker 6: not be able to like see him living his best life.
- 46:56Speaker 6: And now she's in his life, and I feel like
- 46:59Speaker 6: it's really cool to see where he is, so like
- 47:01Speaker 6: for that, even though it was really really hard and
- 47:04Speaker 6: there was there was time there that was really tough. Like,
- 47:09Speaker 6: I'm very happy for them, and yeah it's been it's
- 47:14Speaker 6: but it was a wild like plot twist that at
- 47:19Speaker 6: least it's just interesting for sure.
- 47:22Speaker 3: Too bad you didn't well maybe you did have it
- 47:24Speaker 3: in time for your book, that'd be a wild twist
- 47:26Speaker 3: in the book feels it feels like a very I
- 47:29Speaker 3: was in it.
- 47:30Speaker 6: I was in it in the book, but it was
- 47:32Speaker 6: not to the time. It wasn't the best like of
- 47:38Speaker 6: times to be. I was still very much processing it all.
- 47:41Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, good, Well, nobody that can live in your household.
- 47:46Speaker 3: It doesn't need to be out there for the world
- 47:48Speaker 3: to read, you know, company, But like.
- 47:50Speaker 6: It's cool, Like I'm you know, it happened a while,
- 47:54Speaker 6: you know, it's they've been married for a while now.
- 47:56Speaker 4: But I really am.
- 48:00Speaker 6: Yeah, I really do admire all the work they've done
- 48:03Speaker 6: in their relationship and how they show up for each other.
- 48:06Speaker 4: It's really cool.
- 48:08Speaker 3: My final question for you before we send you off
- 48:10Speaker 3: back into the world to do all the great things
- 48:12Speaker 3: that you were doing is we've seen a teaser of
- 48:16Speaker 3: you on Tyler's new show. I'm curious how that even happened. Uh,
- 48:22Speaker 3: And then going back to the question of how you
- 48:24Speaker 3: process here yeses and knows how you said yes to
- 48:27Speaker 3: it and and give us a little teaser from your perspective.
- 48:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 48:32Speaker 6: So, wow, there's a there's a there's a lot. There
- 48:38Speaker 6: was a lot kind of going on at that time
- 48:40Speaker 6: that I was really and I still do. I love
- 48:46Speaker 6: interior design. Actually before I was on The Bachelor and
- 48:52Speaker 6: when I was in college, I was I kind of
- 48:55Speaker 6: decided I wanted to get into interior decorating design, but
- 48:59Speaker 6: I was about done with college, so I just graduated
- 49:01Speaker 6: and just started like apprenticing.
- 49:04Speaker 4: So that's what I was.
- 49:05Speaker 6: Doing for life change fully, and so it's always been
- 49:12Speaker 6: a passion of mine and I still don't like own
- 49:19Speaker 6: a house yet.
- 49:19Speaker 4: So I have really been able to like show all
- 49:21Speaker 4: the stuff that I can do.
- 49:22Speaker 6: And anyway have a lot of ideas for being able
- 49:27Speaker 6: to get back into that world and some capacity, but
- 49:30Speaker 6: he reached out to me about the show.
- 49:32Speaker 4: And was wondering if I would want.
- 49:34Speaker 6: To be a part of it, and it was great
- 49:36Speaker 6: to be able to. First of all, I think that
- 49:41Speaker 6: was a way that we were able to like really
- 49:44Speaker 6: just move on support each other in our own ventures,
- 49:48Speaker 6: but also be able to like showcase something that I'm
- 49:52Speaker 6: really passionate about, and he gave me the opportunity to
- 49:55Speaker 6: do that, so I was like, this will be fun.
- 49:58Speaker 6: It was great to be in Florida for a few
- 50:00Speaker 6: days and be able to work with the clients.
- 50:05Speaker 4: They were awesome and it was actually a really great
- 50:07Speaker 4: time I had.
- 50:08Speaker 6: I had a lot of fun, and it got me
- 50:11Speaker 6: excited to be able to continue, hopefully in.
- 50:15Speaker 4: The future, being able to.
- 50:18Speaker 6: Really get back into that passion of creating beautiful spaces
- 50:24Speaker 6: for people and for myself.
- 50:27Speaker 2: How did Adam feel about you being so close to him?
- 50:33Speaker 4: He we know where we're at in our relationship and
- 50:37Speaker 4: like I that season of life, like I feel.
- 50:44Speaker 6: Really like it's over, and obviously, like I don't, we weren't.
- 50:50Speaker 6: We weren't engaged yet, but like I knew obviously like
- 50:53Speaker 6: we and decided like we were gonna We're in it together,
- 50:56Speaker 6: this is this is my life partner, and so he
- 51:02Speaker 6: trust me, was excited for me to be able to
- 51:04Speaker 6: have this opportunity to kind of do a path a
- 51:07Speaker 6: passion of mine.
- 51:08Speaker 4: And yeah, so he's cool, he's supportive of me. But yeah,
- 51:17Speaker 4: I mean I think I answered that.
- 51:21Speaker 2: Well, this was we could talk to you, honestly for
- 51:24Speaker 2: at least another hour about everything going on in your life,
- 51:27Speaker 2: and like, you're just such an interesting and self aware person,
- 51:29Speaker 2: so it's always fun to talk to you.
