not just your heart, your whole life, Purify your life. We're

gonna be in Matthew, chapter number twenty three. Right, let me make

sure I got this right, Matthew twenty three, Verses twenty five and twenty

eight. So we are purified by the only one who was perfectly clean.

There's no way that we could be cleansed from all righteousness and all wickedness if

it's not the person that's cleaning us perfect If that person is not perfectly clean,

then nobody's cleaning nobody but Jesus. We are purified by the one and

only Jesus, who is perfectly clean, which is why Jesus himself was willing

to die in our place. You ever thought about that? How could Jesus

cleanse us from all unrighteousness if he himself was not clean? That's why he

This is another day, purify your life. This is possible because the Word

says it's possible. We could do this, We could live this life.

this life. Right. So, Jesus had discussions with his religious people of

his time, and we're going to see a snapshot of it through Matthew,

chapter number twenty three, verses twenty five to twenty eight. And this one

was right. Here was Jesus calling the religious people out, acting like they're

one way, but meanwhile they're a whole, entirely different way. On the

outside it looks good, but on the inside it's rotten. Amen. And

Jesus wants to let us know that he sees us, he sees our good,

he sees our bad. But and he sees us and moves in us

and through us. Amen. No longer are we in the darkness. No

longer are we rotten. No longer do we have the heart full of deceit

kind of third. But man, did he say something different because what he

saw and what he knows a man to be true about these people that call

themselves good and they do all these rituals, and they we were in that

yet like last time, right, which on Rituals don't make you right with

God. Rituals don't do that. Rituals are something sometimes good for traditional things

a man, as a way of reminding yourself or reminding the people. The

sovereignness of God, the power fullness of God, the power of God,

the power prayer. All that is good right. It benefits, but it

cannot change you, cannot make you right, can make you. It can't

cleanse you. That's what I should say. Purify your life to be purified

by God. A man is a whole, entirely different thing than to do

ritualistic activities. To sue something ritualistic and expect the ritual to do something to

make you right with God or to cleanse you from all on righteousness and wickedness

and all that good stuff. Because it doesn't do it. Amen. It's

a ritual. It's something that you pass a right to do something, or

you traditionally do something, or you engage in activity that seems holy. It

sees righteous. But let's see what Jesus has to say about those type of

activities. Amen, and he and boy does the Lord has something to say

eight. This is the Lord speaking, Amen, So prepare yourself, brace

yourself. Amen. This is Jesus the Christ. Woe to you. That

means cursed scribes and pharisees hypocrites. For you clean the outside of the cup

closely. You clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside

they are full of greed and self indulgence. You blind pharisee, First clean

the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be

clean. Whoe cursed again. Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites.

But you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are

full of dead people's bones and all uncleanness. Not all cleansiness, but all

uncleanness. So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are

full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. Man, So Jesus already knew the situation here.

That's why people say, oh, God bless us, And I said

yeah, and he also curses. They be like, God doesn't curse.

Yes, he does, and he can't and he does it for purpose and

reason. Amen, God won't bless something that's trying to kill or trying to

curse others, Ay man, why would he do that? God is pure,

God is holy, God is righteous, God is true, God is

holy, God is perfect. And because he's perfect, and because he's sinless,

it's not that he sins. He does not sin. He's sinned less.

He's perfect, without spot or blemish, perfect life that Jesus lived on

this earth, perfect example. He was the perfect sacrifice to pay off the

sin debt votes uscribes and pharisees. And nowadays we say to you religious people

who act like you're all clean, but you're whitewashed tombs and you appear good

outwardly, but inside you're full of dead people's bones and uncleanness, hypocrisy and

lawlessness. Wow. Now, I'm not gonna tell you to go around speaking

this to every religious person. You say, first of all, be careful

what you say to people and how you say things to people. But we're

reading what the Lord Jesus spoke. Amen, And he could say what he

wants to say how he wants to say it, because he's holy, he's

loving, he's just, he's righteous. Amen, he's forgiving, he's full

of grace and mercy, so he can say what he wants to say.

He is the Living Word. We're not the living Word. We have the

Living Word living in us by way of Holy Spirit. That's how we know

we could purify our lives. I know that's a lot there a man for

So Jesus drove the point home that religious rituals religious people who appear beautiful from

the outside, but inside it's a whole different thing going on. We see

it a lot, and you know, and the body, well, I

won't say the body. We see this a lot in church, churching theom

whatever you want to call it, church them and we see people who are

up there. They know what to say, they know how to react,

they know how to, you know, get the crowd to respond. They

know how to touch and manipulate your emotions and all that. But man,

it looks beautiful outward, right, but inward, these religious people, these

faking religious people, are full of all kind of debt bones, and they're

hypocrites and the full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. Jesus said it. Amen,

is driving the point that rituals are ineffective at cleansing our hearts and souls.

Therefore, rituals are not the way to purify ourselves. Right, Ceremonial things

are good and men for what they're meant to be for, Like you have

the Holy matrimony, it's a ceremony, you have sweet sixteen insios. They

have ceremonies, they have traditions there and men. They're good for the moment,

they're good for what it's meant for. But none of that will be

able to cleanse us from all righteousness. None of that will be able to

purify our lives. None of that will be able to forgive us for our

sins. None of that will pay the penalty for your sin and my son.

None of that. Right, So we go through the ceremonial motions,

we could actually be hypocrites. We can harbor sit in our hearts. Remember

the last time we got together, people were like, listen, it is

Jesus coming, because we're about to celebrate the passover. Where's Jesus's his Company's

he coming? He didn't come. So therefore they said, listen, whoever

sees them first, let us know, and we're gonna go arrest them.

And eventually we're gonna kill him. These people were doing their ceremonial things right,

washing up their hands and all this other stuff, and they went to

Jerusalem before the Passover to purify themselves, right, and they were looking for

Jesus at the same time. So how is it that these people were ritualistic

and ceremonial on traditional and acting like they were all good with God, that

had right standing with God. They were acting like it was beautiful on the
16:56
outside, but on the inside they had hatred for their brother, they had

hatred for the Lord, and they wanted to plot to arrest them and eventually

kill him. How could that be if the ritual is the thing that changes

your life into my life on, why do we still harbor hate, sin

and then being all that stuff in our hearts. It's because the rituals can't

save you. The rituals cannot purify your life on going, So, like

Jesus said to the Pharisees and the scribes, says, we might look clean

on the outside, but on the inside, the stain of our sins remains.

And I'm talking about religious people, amen, But the consequences of our

sin like I did sins like years ago. Right, can't look back.

Can't go back to that time. Amen, I know what I did.

You know what you did in the past as well. We can't live in

the past, right. I'm not saying to okay, let's turn itunur,

look at our sin behind us. But the consequence of those sins right became

a reality. When the season of sin and the season of having fun or

whatever you want to call it, was over, the consequences came. And

sometimes years later and years later, we still deal with the consequences. But

the thing about God, think about the Lord Jesus, is that he knows

to look at the sin no more. When he cleanses us, he cleanses

us from all righteousness, from all wickedness. And it's not by a ritual

Jesus Lenna dies so that way we can have religion. Jesus dies so that

way we can have a pure life, an abundant life, a righteous life.

We are right standing with Jesus or with the Father through Jesus. That's

why he says, I am the Way, I am the Truth, and

I am the Life. No one can come to the Father except through him.

He's the one who could ultimately purify our lives because he was the perfect

living sacrifice that died for us, so that way we could live a pure

life. Purity is the thing we could do. This a man in the

scripture says, we could live a pure life. We can have a pure

heart. We can have God search our hearts and anything that's not in us

that should not be there. And I'm not talking about See it's too much

to talk to explain, but I'm not talking about you. You have sin

in your life along with the Holy Spirit, and you have possessed and I'm

not talking about none of that. Search me, Lord God. I guess

that means my will and intent and make sure it lines up with your will

and intent right right, that's what we ask God to search us for.

So good, Thank you Jesus. Yes, might look clean on the outside,

but on the inside different story. We have to be purified, not

from the outside end, but from the inside out. Right. We can't

pureify ourselves, I'll tell you that much. We can't sprinkle holy water over

us or shower us and some kind of you know, take a dive in

the Jordan river or in this place or that place that people say our holy

places, the men if they're holy places, but that water. Unless God

touches the water and touches the source of what we're going into baptize ourselves into

and out of. Unless Jesus is there, God is there by way of

Holy Spirit. Unless God anoints that place or that time or that water,

it nothing's happening. You just gonna get wet. But when Jesus steps on

the scene and he starts to purify us, we know that it's the Lord.

We know it is God. Because we can't purify ourselves. We needed

someone who is already perfectly clean to purify us. That's why Jesus was wanting

to die in our place. So in his time as a Jewish leaders right

ploted the death of Christ. They were plotting the death of Christ. They

were actually fulfilling God's plan to cleanse us. It's a huge situation going on.

When Jesus spoke that, I'm pretty sure other people were listening. Right

when he said that to the scribes and the Pharisees, I'm pretty sure people

were looking at Jesus was like, wow, Lord, like take it easy,

you know, you know, back up a little bit. But no,

God had to speak this, because he had to speak it with authority.

He spoke it to love. He spoke it burwing the truth, the

ultimate truth, knowing the inside and out of the mind and the intent of

those religious scribes and pharisees. He did what he did because he knows what

he's doing. He knew what he was doing then, he knows what he's

doing now, and he knows that in order for us to have a pure

heart, in order for us to have a purer life, in order of

us to be purified, we have to go to the one who is pure,

and that's him. He's the perfect, purer, holy, righteous,

loving Savior. He's Jesus, the Christ of Nazareth, and he is the

one that can cleanse us from all wickedness, all the righteousness, all hypocrisy,

all lawlessness, all of that. Jesus the Christ. Hey, Beth,

you know you don't believe me. Test them, test them. Go

to him now and ask him to cleanse us from all because it cleanses you

from all our righteousness and wickedness. Asks him to forgive you for whatever you

need forgiveness, for he will forgive you, who will not turn anyone away

the word says, But he would do what his word says he would do.

It wasn't the blood of goats and bulls. Remember old Covenant, there

was a lot of slaughtering of animals, a lot of sacrifice, blood covenants

and all that going on. But it wasn't the blood of goats and bulls

and the sprinkling right of the file persons with the ashes of a heifer sanctify

for the purification of the flesh. How much more would the blood of Christ

right who through the eternal Spirit, the eternal Spirit I love it offered himself

without blemish to God, without spot of blemish, purify our conscious from dead

works to serve the living God. Once we were dead, now we're made

alive. Once we had dead works, now we have works that are alive

in Christ. For the Kingdom of God on faith with our works is dead

vice versa as well. Hebrews chapter nine. Let me give you a bonus

here Hebrews chapter nine. I think it's verse number thirteen and fourteen. For

if the blood of goats and bulls, and it's sprinkling of the foul persons

with the ashes of I have for sanctified for the purification of the flesh,

how much more would the blood of Christ who through the eternal Spirit, offered

himself with our blemish to God, purify our conscious from the dead works to

serve the living God. Actually, I already read the scripture a man.

sacrifices of blood. Yes there were rituals and ceremonial things going on the Old

Covenant, and even in the New Covenant, people were still doing those things.

Because remember, before Jesus ascended Amen, the New Covenant was not given

Amen. Although some people argue with me and say the New Covenant was already

given while Jesus was walking. Okay, Well, what I am saying is

that when he has sended, to sit down and say it is none,

done. And he sent back Holy Spirit of God. Now we're under a

new covenant. We're no longer under the law of these rituals and these sacrifices

of animals, and we don't have that system no more, that system of

sanctification, that system of relying on the blood of animals to get sanctified and

to be purified. I hope you know that we're no longer under that system.

We're under a new system, a new covenant, a covenant of grace,

a covenant of Christ, a covenant. We're saved, We're born again.

Amen. And Jesus shows us all throughout his life, all throughout the

scriptures, and all throughout the New Covenant, that he has a better way

now, he has a better plan. If you want purification, you don't

have to sacrifice animals, you don't have to sprinkle yourself with holy water.

You don't have to go through those rituals and ceremonies. You don't have to

go to the so called religion people that look good on the outside, by

inside that corrupt and full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. You could go straight to

the source. We could go to the throne momb of grace. We could

have a personal revelation from the Living God who loves you and loves me,

a man to be purified, pure in our mind, pure in our hearts,

pure over what we say, pure in our tents, purer our motives.

We have a living God living within us, holy Spirit, living within

us, to do the works that he wants us to do. Right.

Oh, I don't know how I could do this. I literally heard someone

say. Yesterday, a man said, yeah, I'm almost stay. That's

why i'm not That's why I'm not all in. That's why I'm not all

there. I felt so bad. I wanted to say something, but it

was in a crowd's situation, and I said, nah, I don't know

this person that well, so say something in a crowd situation to make him

feel uncomfortable. But I started praying my mind and say, God, give

him a full revelation of who he is and what's possible with you, Because

with God, all things are possible. Right, without him, we can't

do anything. But with Jesus we could do all things, and we could

come to this place where we are. We are what I heard yesterday,

full throttle Christians. We are, we are and are able to go to

the max with what our faith allows us to go to. And that's limitless.

The only thing that limits us from getting what God has for us is

ourselves. Amen. So if we confess that sometimes even when we worship in

God, that sometimes our mind is thinking corrupt, Maybe our intentions are not

right, maybe by motives are not right, Maybe we have all against one

another as brothers sisters in Christ, just get it. Right. I know

everybody doesn't like me, I'll tell you that much. Amen. I try

my best to be kind to every single person. I try my best to

pray for people. I try my best to have the insent and motives of

the Lord. I try my best to line myself up with what God has.

And that's a lot to do, and it's a beautiful thing to do.
