Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: All right, and there he is Marcus Tims kind enough
- 0:07Speaker 1: to join the program here on foul Territory, the newest
- 0:10Speaker 1: member of the coaching staff for the Kansas City Royals. Marcus,
- 0:12Speaker 1: great to be with you. Thanks for taking the time.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Why did this make sense for you? Welcome to the show.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Thanks for you guys for having me.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Why did the Royals assistant or second hitting coach? Not
- 0:24Speaker 1: assistant but second hitting coach? Why did that make sense
- 0:26Speaker 1: for you? Right now?
- 0:28Speaker 3: You know, I've been doing this long enough now and
- 0:30Speaker 3: I am just willing to to help any organization try
- 0:34Speaker 3: to win with my experiences and my expertise on the
- 0:38Speaker 3: hitting side. Like I said, I've been doing it for
- 0:39Speaker 3: a while. They have too me in place and just
- 0:43Speaker 3: being able to assist him and to to help.
- 0:46Speaker 2: The hitters to try to get better.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Marcus, you been doing it for a while. Come on
- 0:53Speaker 4: like you?
- 0:54Speaker 5: I mean you There is I can go through on
- 0:57Speaker 5: my rolodex of texts from you. I mean it is
- 1:00Speaker 5: every year you get a new job at different places.
- 1:03Speaker 5: What the heck is going on?
- 1:04Speaker 4: Like?
- 1:04Speaker 5: Why why do you feel like the hitting coach position?
- 1:07Speaker 5: Because we've asked other guys this, why do you feel
- 1:09Speaker 5: like the hitting coach position is something that is so
- 1:13Speaker 5: just well, you know what, team hit good, you're fired,
- 1:17Speaker 5: Team hit bad, You're fired. Why do you feel like
- 1:20Speaker 5: that is the case? And do you ever I know
- 1:23Speaker 5: you get sick of it, but do you feel like
- 1:26Speaker 5: there's an answer that's out there unless you're unless you're
- 1:29Speaker 5: k Long or I'm trying to think who else sites
- 1:32Speaker 5: are kept a job for a little while, but nobody knows.
- 1:35Speaker 5: You know, there's people who are like I hated Kevin
- 1:37Speaker 5: Sitz as a hitting coach. I hated k Long as
- 1:38Speaker 5: a hitting coach, Like is it because it's such an
- 1:41Speaker 5: easy position to get rid of?
- 1:43Speaker 2: Like what is it? You know, I'm trying to find
- 1:47Speaker 2: find the root of it?
- 1:49Speaker 3: Actually I have no idea, man, But I just I
- 1:51Speaker 3: continue to just try to do my job and and
- 1:54Speaker 3: and try to help help help players. But you know,
- 1:57Speaker 3: I've had some situations where the manager was let go
- 1:59Speaker 3: and I was part of the staff. You know, in Chicago,
- 2:02Speaker 3: the manager let go, was let go, held me over
- 2:05Speaker 3: to the next year, then I was let go again.
- 2:07Speaker 3: But I keep getting jobs. Man, I guess I'm doing
- 2:10Speaker 3: something right for somebody.
- 2:13Speaker 1: I think you're doing a lot right for a lot
- 2:15Speaker 1: of people. Let me ask you this, because you played
- 2:17Speaker 1: ten years in the show, how has the position changed
- 2:21Speaker 1: since you had hitting coaches to when you became one?
- 2:24Speaker 1: The game is different now? How do you handle that
- 2:26Speaker 1: that transition?
- 2:28Speaker 2: Yeah, the game is different, you know.
- 2:30Speaker 3: I go back to Yeah, like when I played, like
- 2:31Speaker 3: there's only one hitting coach for thirteen guys or twelve
- 2:34Speaker 3: guys or whatever it was.
- 2:35Speaker 2: But now there's a lot of different different moving parts now.
- 2:38Speaker 3: You know, you have a lot of the new things
- 2:40Speaker 3: in the cages, a lot of the technology. Now you
- 2:43Speaker 3: have two hitting coaches, in some cases you have three,
- 2:47Speaker 3: just having the personnel in the cages with the with
- 2:50Speaker 3: the hitting coaches to be able to evolve with the game,
- 2:52Speaker 3: but to make sure you have somebody ready.
- 2:54Speaker 2: For each each each each type hitter you have.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Marcus, what's your philosophy on hitting?
- 3:02Speaker 6: How do you blend analytics and and and the old school?
- 3:06Speaker 4: Wait?
- 3:06Speaker 6: What what's your what's your big thing that when you
- 3:08Speaker 6: go into a job that you try to say to
- 3:10Speaker 6: to the hitters.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Number one thing for me, aj is it's getting to
- 3:13Speaker 3: know my players. Crashing has been around me. I'm not
- 3:16Speaker 3: a cookie cutter. I think in this game. I've evolved
- 3:19Speaker 3: over the years of just just making sure each player
- 3:23Speaker 3: know their strengths and try to maximize their strengths. And
- 3:26Speaker 3: I think when you do that, you can get the
- 3:28Speaker 3: best out of a group of guys. So so as
- 3:30Speaker 3: a philosophy, that terminology is thrown around a lot, But
- 3:34Speaker 3: for me, it's just each guy is totally different, and
- 3:36Speaker 3: I try to get the best out of each guy
- 3:38Speaker 3: and what they bring to the table. And so when
- 3:41Speaker 3: it comes to philosophy, man, that word is thrown around
- 3:43Speaker 3: a lot, but I just try to make sure I'll
- 3:45Speaker 3: get the best out of each guy.
- 3:48Speaker 5: I've seen it. I've seen it, so I can, I can,
- 3:50Speaker 5: I can. I can agree with that. But my question
- 3:53Speaker 5: is I played in Kansas City. Kansas City is a
- 3:57Speaker 5: different type of stadium. Can you take your same approach?
- 4:02Speaker 5: Because all you talked about was just getting.
- 4:04Speaker 4: To know the guys.
- 4:04Speaker 5: You didn't you didn't say, well, you know what, you know,
- 4:07Speaker 5: we got to get this dip, we got to get
- 4:08Speaker 5: this in the slot, all this stuff you said, getting
- 4:11Speaker 5: to know the guys. But don't you also feel like
- 4:13Speaker 5: there's some preconceived ideas, Like you look at this line
- 4:17Speaker 5: and you're like, Wow, these guys they didn't strike out
- 4:19Speaker 5: at all. The Blue Jays they didn't strike out at all. Okay,
- 4:22Speaker 5: there's a comparison there. You're like, Ah, you know what,
- 4:24Speaker 5: you guys got to hit a few more dingers, and
- 4:26Speaker 5: they say, have you hit in Kaufman in the last
- 4:30Speaker 5: fourteen years? The ball does not travel? Like how much
- 4:33Speaker 5: do you have to shift that because of where you're
- 4:36Speaker 5: getting a job? Because you went to Chicago before you
- 4:39Speaker 5: had zero you know, besides talkman, you didn't have many
- 4:42Speaker 5: big league hitters, so you had to shift your approach
- 4:45Speaker 5: on that too.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I think just with you know, in the game of baseball,
- 4:49Speaker 3: you have nine guys on the field, right, not everybody's
- 4:52Speaker 3: the same. So so for me, it's it's like, Noah,
- 4:54Speaker 3: Kaufman is a big ballpark. You know, you're gonna have
- 4:56Speaker 3: your bobbers, You're gonna have guys that get on base.
- 4:58Speaker 3: So we have to make sure we maximize each guy
- 5:01Speaker 3: that's in that line up their strengths. And if you're
- 5:03Speaker 3: not a guy who's gonna hit the ball out of
- 5:05Speaker 3: the ballpark, you got to get on basics score runs
- 5:06Speaker 3: for they're the guys. So it's all about blending that
- 5:09Speaker 3: blending that together, and that's what you make a good,
- 5:11Speaker 3: good lineup with a team like what.
- 5:12Speaker 2: We have in Kansas City to put.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Out there every night.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Marcus, everybody has a guy now, right, So many of
- 5:20Speaker 1: the guys that you are mentoring and coaching have their
- 5:22Speaker 1: own private hitting coach. How do you manage that and
- 5:25Speaker 1: how do you make sure that what you're saying is
- 5:28Speaker 1: kind of getting in because they have a lot of information, right,
- 5:32Speaker 1: how do you work that?
- 5:34Speaker 3: Getting to know my guys Like if gods have a
- 5:36Speaker 3: hitting guy a line I've always been been open. I'm
- 5:39Speaker 3: open because at the end of the day, they're going
- 5:41Speaker 3: to go listen to these guys. I've been doing this
- 5:43Speaker 3: for a while and they're going to go listen to
- 5:45Speaker 3: these guys. They have their hear So for me, I'll
- 5:47Speaker 3: make sure I try to get out and go see
- 5:49Speaker 3: the guys who they're working with and try to build
- 5:51Speaker 3: a relationship with those guys.
- 5:53Speaker 2: It's a two way street, right, if they're.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Going to continue to listen to them, I got to
- 5:56Speaker 3: get my ego out of the way and go see
- 5:58Speaker 3: these guys. And then because I'm with them every single day,
- 6:00Speaker 3: So so for me, I don't do myself, as with
- 6:03Speaker 3: any justice by not going to see guys. So I
- 6:05Speaker 3: like going to see who they're working with, so I
- 6:06Speaker 3: can have a good feel for guys when they do come.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Come to our come to our ballpark.
- 6:12Speaker 5: Right when you look ahead, I mean you you've played,
- 6:15Speaker 5: you've played, You've coached on so many teams. Do you
- 6:18Speaker 5: ever look at it and go, yeah, sure, I'll go
- 6:20Speaker 5: to the Royals. I want to see what Bobby with
- 6:22Speaker 5: Junior is all about. Like I've seen it six times
- 6:25Speaker 5: throughout the year. Are there any players in the league
- 6:28Speaker 5: where you're like, I'm kind of impressed with that guy,
- 6:30Speaker 5: and is Bobby with one of those guys Crassy?
- 6:34Speaker 3: I always watched the best player on each team. I've
- 6:36Speaker 3: always done it even when I was playing. You know,
- 6:40Speaker 3: I was a role guy as a player, so every
- 6:42Speaker 3: team that came in, I would always get out and
- 6:44Speaker 3: see how those guys took VP, you know, watch their
- 6:46Speaker 3: at bast So Bobby, Bobby's been great, man. I've been
- 6:49Speaker 3: blessed to be around some of the best hitters in
- 6:51Speaker 3: the game, and I don't take that lightly. But I'm
- 6:53Speaker 3: still even though even those guys Crassy, they want to
- 6:57Speaker 3: be coached, So I got to try to find whatever
- 6:59Speaker 3: it is Bobby watch from me needs for me and
- 7:02Speaker 3: just try to be able to extra set of os
- 7:03Speaker 3: for him to try to get them better.
- 7:06Speaker 1: If you were a pitcher, you say that you've been
- 7:09Speaker 1: around the best guys in the game in terms of hitting.
- 7:11Speaker 1: If you were a pitcher, who would you not want
- 7:13Speaker 1: to face right now? That's active.
- 7:17Speaker 2: You can't put me on a spot like that.
- 7:21Speaker 1: You don't even have to pick a Royal, pick some
- 7:23Speaker 1: other team.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just there's there's a lot of guys out there,
- 7:27Speaker 3: and you know, you can go from top. You know,
- 7:30Speaker 3: the top guys is just one of the m vps
- 7:32Speaker 3: in both leagues. I've had both of those guys and
- 7:34Speaker 3: and I've seen the work that they put in behind
- 7:37Speaker 3: behind the you know, behind the closed doors. But uh,
- 7:41Speaker 3: it's tough. I can't pick one guy because I'm sure
- 7:43Speaker 3: they're listening and they'll get out. But I'm blessed to
- 7:46Speaker 3: be able to be around some really good talented players.
- 7:49Speaker 4: All Right, I'm gonna make you pick. I'm gonna make
- 7:52Speaker 4: you pick, but I'm gonna make you pick a different one.
- 7:54Speaker 4: All right.
- 7:55Speaker 5: I'm not gonna say it's show hey better than Aaron
- 7:58Speaker 5: Judge at hitting. Should Cal have gotten more of a
- 8:02Speaker 5: consideration than what he did for MVP He got thirteen
- 8:05Speaker 5: of the thirty votes and your boy, a a Ron
- 8:08Speaker 5: Judge got seventeen.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I am Cal did a hell of a job.
- 8:14Speaker 2: He did a really, really good job.
- 8:16Speaker 3: But I just just mean knowing Aaron and what he
- 8:18Speaker 3: brings to that team over in New York, I just
- 8:21Speaker 3: think that I think they got it right. You know,
- 8:22Speaker 3: I enjoyed watching Cal. I thought he did it one
- 8:25Speaker 3: heck of a job. But I still thought Aaron Aaron
- 8:28Speaker 3: asked him out because of the numbers he.
- 8:29Speaker 7: Put up.
- 8:32Speaker 5: All right, working with Connor Dawson. Did you know Connor
- 8:35Speaker 5: at all before you got this job?
- 8:38Speaker 2: Haven't? Haven't. Haven't met him yet. Just talked to him
- 8:41Speaker 2: on the phone briefly, and I'm gonna get with him.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Here in the next couple of days and we'll start
- 8:46Speaker 3: picking each other's brain and see how we can we
- 8:48Speaker 3: can help the hitting department down there.
- 8:51Speaker 5: What do you think, because we just talked to Jase Tingler,
- 8:53Speaker 5: who's going to be most likely a bench coach or
- 8:56Speaker 5: some kind of crazy name for Tony V. Tell him
- 8:59Speaker 5: a guy like Hunter Dawson's been around based bore, he's
- 9:02Speaker 5: been around pro ball.
- 9:04Speaker 4: What things is he going to run into today? He's
- 9:06Speaker 4: gonna have a struggle with.
- 9:08Speaker 5: At the big league level being the head guy without
- 9:12Speaker 5: ever being the head guy. Because you've been both. You
- 9:15Speaker 5: were you were you, You've been the assistant, you've been
- 9:19Speaker 5: a second coach. But you know, whatever the name is,
- 9:21Speaker 5: you've seen all the roles. What do you feel like
- 9:24Speaker 5: somebody coming in it's never been the head hitting coach
- 9:29Speaker 5: can struggle with that. You can help him nip that
- 9:32Speaker 5: in the bud right away.
- 9:33Speaker 3: It's just the experience in a dougout crass, it gets fast,
- 9:36Speaker 3: you know, you know, watching the game, watching you know,
- 9:39Speaker 3: reading players swings and stuff like that. But I'm just
- 9:41Speaker 3: gonna be able to help him, you know, with the games,
- 9:43Speaker 3: the speed of it. He's never done it. He's mentioned
- 9:46Speaker 3: that to me. He's like, Marcus, I'm gonna use your
- 9:48Speaker 3: experience to help me out. So that's what I'll be
- 9:51Speaker 3: there for because it does get fast. Because as a
- 9:53Speaker 3: head guy had an assistant, I got thrown out of
- 9:56Speaker 3: the game and then all of.
- 9:57Speaker 2: A sudden he's he's out in the dugout by himself.
- 10:00Speaker 3: After the game he comes in, he's like, man, that
- 10:02Speaker 3: was really fast, So just making sure he can help
- 10:05Speaker 3: help him slow.
- 10:05Speaker 4: The game down.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Marcus, how do you challenge or how do you balance
- 10:11Speaker 1: rather the duties that you're going to have. Obviously being
- 10:16Speaker 1: the second hitting coach, you're gonna be working with Connor,
- 10:18Speaker 1: You're going to be doing some things. But do you
- 10:20Speaker 1: do it based on guy's approach, personality, similarities, who you
- 10:25Speaker 1: know who needs the work at the time. How will
- 10:28Speaker 1: you manage the workload? How does that work?
- 10:30Speaker 2: We haven't really talked about it yet Atlanta, but we will.
- 10:34Speaker 3: But it's got a bit process and we have to
- 10:36Speaker 3: make sure that that we're buttoned up to make sure
- 10:38Speaker 3: like once the guys get in there, we're ready to
- 10:40Speaker 3: go and be able to give the guys what they need.
- 10:46Speaker 4: Can you still hit? They're gonna let you.
- 10:48Speaker 5: You're gonna you're gonna get in there and show the
- 10:50Speaker 5: boys because I've seen that, I've seen that swing. I'm
- 10:53Speaker 5: glad the oblique stayed together. But can you still swing it?
- 10:57Speaker 5: I mean, you're only forty eight. The gray on your
- 10:59Speaker 5: chin looks like that feels like it might be a
- 11:01Speaker 5: little bit more. But being a hitting coach, So I
- 11:09Speaker 5: try to let the guys swing it.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Man.
- 11:11Speaker 3: But I got a bad hip now, so I can't
- 11:13Speaker 3: can't do too much. I can't run, but my hands
- 11:15Speaker 3: still work, so that never leaves me. But no, I'm
- 11:19Speaker 3: just just now. I'm just here for the boys, man,
- 11:21Speaker 3: and try to give them whatever they need to try
- 11:23Speaker 3: to help them be the best players that.
- 11:24Speaker 2: They can do.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Marcus, so much of the game today, and you certainly
- 11:28Speaker 1: know better than I is. You know, strikeout or home run,
- 11:30Speaker 1: there's there's three, there's three possible outcomes, right, But the
- 11:33Speaker 1: thing is, I wonder what your approach is. I know
- 11:35Speaker 1: that JJ with the Royals obviously wants to you want
- 11:39Speaker 1: to work on average for a team, but you also
- 11:41Speaker 1: want to work on power. What is your philosophy in
- 11:44Speaker 1: terms of you know, it's okay to strike out? A
- 11:47Speaker 1: lot of it now is let's hit home runs. Like
- 11:49Speaker 1: what's your philosophy around offense and how it should be?
- 11:53Speaker 3: Yeah, nobody think it's okay to strike out. And I
- 11:55Speaker 3: hear that a lot, and people say, and I have
- 11:58Speaker 3: buddies that like, they don't care about striking out. I
- 12:01Speaker 3: have an eight year old son. He doesn't want to
- 12:03Speaker 3: streak it out so that narrative is out there. And
- 12:06Speaker 3: just for me, I think when gods talk about power,
- 12:09Speaker 3: you have to know what part of the zone that
- 12:11Speaker 3: you you perform well in and it's up to us
- 12:14Speaker 3: to you some of the numbers, some of the metrics
- 12:16Speaker 3: to make sure we give these guys the right information
- 12:18Speaker 3: because you can't go up there and cover the whole play,
- 12:20Speaker 3: you know, And that's the thing I think guys get
- 12:22Speaker 3: in trouble with when you're trying to hunt for power,
- 12:24Speaker 3: because I always say, if you chase power, you're going
- 12:26Speaker 3: to chase pictures. So for me, it's all about letting
- 12:28Speaker 3: my guys know what part of the zone they do
- 12:30Speaker 3: damaging and what they don't, because you got to make
- 12:32Speaker 3: sure you maximize what you do well. And I think
- 12:35Speaker 3: that's going to help moving forward. But when people say
- 12:37Speaker 3: guys don't care about striking out, I don't. I don't
- 12:39Speaker 3: think so because I did have Aaron Judge in New
- 12:42Speaker 3: York and he hated striking out. And I know the
- 12:43Speaker 3: numbers were open, but the numbers have started to come
- 12:46Speaker 3: down over over quite the last few years. Have an experience.
- 12:49Speaker 3: So for me, when people say guys don't care about
- 12:52Speaker 3: striking out. I don't think that that's not fair because
- 12:54Speaker 3: you've played this game. You don't like walking back to that, Doug,
- 12:56Speaker 3: because it's a lonely good.
- 12:58Speaker 5: Straight AJ says is we say it all the time
- 13:01Speaker 5: on the show, striking out sucks.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Nobody wants to strike out.
- 13:04Speaker 5: But I know you've meld into the you know, the
- 13:09Speaker 5: old school approach with the new school, and I know
- 13:12Speaker 5: you got a little bit of a temper. Have you
- 13:14Speaker 5: ever broken one of the iPads? When you see dudes
- 13:18Speaker 5: using too many of them?
- 13:20Speaker 2: I'm a big fan.
- 13:22Speaker 3: I'm a big fan of make sure the guys watched
- 13:24Speaker 3: the game, chrasy, you know me, I think sometimes that
- 13:26Speaker 3: the iPad is a devil, but you know they have it,
- 13:29Speaker 3: they're gonna use it. I'm just I'm just trying to
- 13:31Speaker 3: make sure you guys are using it the right way.
- 13:33Speaker 4: You know.
- 13:33Speaker 3: I'm a big fan of like, yeah, you can look
- 13:35Speaker 3: at it. You're like, as soon as I get it,
- 13:37Speaker 3: if you look at it and your and your timing
- 13:39Speaker 3: is off, don't even look at anything else because you're
- 13:41Speaker 3: gonna go down a rabbit hole that you don't need to.
- 13:43Speaker 2: So I think just using it the right way. But yeah,
- 13:45Speaker 2: sometimes the iPads.
- 13:46Speaker 3: I've wanted to put a couple in the traps for.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Marcus.
- 13:51Speaker 1: You're still in this game for a good reason. Best
- 13:53Speaker 1: of luck to you in the new position with the
- 13:55Speaker 1: Kansas City Royals. Best of luck to the Royals. I'm
- 13:58Speaker 1: moving forward into the twenty twenty six season. Thanks for
- 14:00Speaker 1: being with us. We appreciate your time.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Thank you God for having it.
- 14:04Speaker 7: You know, I felt like I was one of the
- 14:06Speaker 7: best defenders ever out there in center field, and I said,
- 14:09Speaker 7: you know, I'm very confident in my defensive ability and
- 14:12Speaker 7: put me up against anyone, and I want to see
- 14:14Speaker 7: if that could translate into coaching and knowing what I
- 14:17Speaker 7: know now is I'm very good at it, and uh,
- 14:21Speaker 7: you know, I'm the one that you would want in
- 14:23Speaker 7: front of your players coaching them up if I'm being honest,
- 14:25Speaker 7: and which I am. So here's what I would love
- 14:28Speaker 7: to do. I would love to maximize my potential and
- 14:33Speaker 7: I don't want to commit to one organization necessarily. I
- 14:36Speaker 7: want to see how many organizations out there would love
- 14:38Speaker 7: to have me around for like five days at a time. Ideally,
- 14:42Speaker 7: I would love to show up to spring training and
- 14:44Speaker 7: get stuff locked in where I'm showing up five days
- 14:47Speaker 7: at a time and treat me as if I'm employed
- 14:50Speaker 7: by you guys, because I'm going to give it my
- 14:52Speaker 7: all for the five days that I'm there, and I
- 14:54Speaker 7: know in that amount of time, I can go through
- 14:56Speaker 7: everything with the outfitters and get them routines, throwing program,
- 15:00Speaker 7: the way we go about drill's batting practice. All this
- 15:02Speaker 7: stuff is so crucial and so overlooked in so many ways.
- 15:06Speaker 7: And the way I went about these things or why
- 15:08Speaker 7: I had the product on the field throughout my whole career,
- 15:11Speaker 7: and I know other guys can achieve much more if
- 15:15Speaker 7: if we do the little things right on them backfields
- 15:18Speaker 7: and spring training when no one's watching and setting the
- 15:20Speaker 7: precedent early on so and then throughout the season. You know,
- 15:23Speaker 7: if I need to go visit Double A or your
- 15:25Speaker 7: Triple A or whoever, you know, just one of those things,
- 15:29Speaker 7: I will go work. I will go work for days
- 15:32Speaker 7: at a time whatever is needed during the season. This
- 15:34Speaker 7: past year I did three days and that was perfect.
- 15:36Speaker 7: And I just want to be viewed as like a
- 15:38Speaker 7: get right coach.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I love that. First of all, good for Kevin Kiermeyer
- 15:43Speaker 1: put himself out there. I can appreciate that a lot.
- 15:45Speaker 1: The guy doesn't need to work and he wants to
- 15:47Speaker 1: continue to be in this game that we all love
- 15:49Speaker 1: so much. AJ I'll start with you, how many guys
- 15:52Speaker 1: out there want what Kevin Kiermeyer seems to want? Maybe
- 15:55Speaker 1: you know outfield guys that want to.
- 15:56Speaker 6: Work on their agent, a free agent coaching job where
- 15:58Speaker 6: you just bounce and do whatever you want.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Sign me up. No, we're commercial.
- 16:04Speaker 2: We're a commercial right now, right, we're commercial?
- 16:07Speaker 4: Right? What the fuck is he talking about?
- 16:09Speaker 6: Like I want to go to spring training and then
- 16:11Speaker 6: what what the fuck are we talking about?
- 16:13Speaker 2: Like?
- 16:13Speaker 6: Yeah, I want to go from spring training and spring training. Yeah, sure,
- 16:17Speaker 6: show me your secrets, and then show me your secrets,
- 16:20Speaker 6: and then show me your secrets and then one day
- 16:22Speaker 6: maybe I'll be a coach on one team and I
- 16:24Speaker 6: can use all these secrets to help this Like what
- 16:27Speaker 6: are we talking about?
- 16:28Speaker 2: It doesn't work.
- 16:29Speaker 6: We can just be like, hey, I want to go
- 16:30Speaker 6: to this spring training for five I want to go
- 16:32Speaker 6: to Arizona for two weeks and spend three teams. And I'm
- 16:34Speaker 6: gonna go to Florida for three days for two weeks.
- 16:38Speaker 6: You know, I'll meet with four or five teams, and
- 16:40Speaker 6: then I like, what the sorry, what the fuck are
- 16:43Speaker 6: we talking about.
