- 0:00Speaker 1: And what we now know beyond a reasonable doubt is
- 0:03Speaker 1: that Anthony Fauci did indeed fund gain of function research.
- 0:07Speaker 1: We have the evidence that the experiments were gaining in function,
- 0:11Speaker 1: the viruses were becoming more lethal, more attachable to human cells,
- 0:16Speaker 1: and more infectious. We do know that this was going
- 0:19Speaker 1: on that was funded by the NIH, specifically under the
- 0:23Speaker 1: tutelage of Anthony Fauci. We know all of that, but
- 0:26Speaker 1: we know even more now. We know that the initial
- 0:29Speaker 1: estimate by the scientists at the CIA was that this
- 0:33Speaker 1: came from the lab. He was able to convince them otherwise.
- 0:36Speaker 1: We now have evidence that in January of twenty twenty
- 0:40Speaker 1: that he was already acknowledging that the virus did not
- 0:43Speaker 1: come from the wet market, that the wet market was
- 0:46Speaker 1: a spreader event, but wasn't an initial event, because we
- 0:49Speaker 1: had lineages of people way before the wet market that
- 0:53Speaker 1: were getting sick.
- 0:55Speaker 2: That is, the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee
- 0:58Speaker 2: set at a ran pall on. Files released by the
- 1:00Speaker 2: Office of Director of National Intelligence show doctor Anthony Fauci
- 1:05Speaker 2: met with the intelligence community to shape public perception that
- 1:08Speaker 2: COVID nineteen originated from a wet market in Wuhan instead
- 1:11Speaker 2: of a lab leak. Now, Senator Paul has subpoened Falci
- 1:15Speaker 2: to testify publicly under oath in front of Congress this
- 1:17Speaker 2: month over his handling of the COVID nineteen pandemic, which
- 1:21Speaker 2: killed more than one million Americans. Fauci received a pried
- 1:25Speaker 2: pardon from former President Biden just hours before his term
- 1:28Speaker 2: ended in January of twenty five via auto pen, whose
- 1:31Speaker 2: agality has been called into question. I want to bring
- 1:34Speaker 2: in with more Senator jun Johnson, a key member of
- 1:36Speaker 2: the Senate Homeland Security Committee. Senator, good morning to you.
- 1:39Speaker 2: You know Anthony Fallci. Look, he's had plenty of time
- 1:42Speaker 2: to lawyer up. Let's be clear here, but the American
- 1:44Speaker 2: people still want answers. What questions do you want answered?
- 1:50Speaker 2: If and when he appears in front of you.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Good morning show. Well, we now know that he definitely
- 1:56Speaker 3: needed that pardon. Yeah, I think we also know that
- 2:00Speaker 3: Anthony Fauci knew he was evading Obama's gain a function moratorium.
- 2:05Speaker 3: We now know that he was funding this. We now
- 2:07Speaker 3: know that the US government, probably under the auspices of
- 2:10Speaker 3: Anthony Fauci, were funding something like one hundred and twenty
- 2:14Speaker 3: bio labs all over the world, forty of them alone
- 2:17Speaker 3: in Ukraine. Why were we doing that? We knew he
- 2:20Speaker 3: fully was under you know, aware of the fact that
- 2:23Speaker 3: they were funding dangerous research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Why would we be sharing that kind of dangerous scientific
- 2:32Speaker 3: research with the Chinese government. So there's so much that
- 2:36Speaker 3: we now know. We certainly suspected it. We're getting more
- 2:39Speaker 3: and more documented evidence. So you know, my question was
- 2:42Speaker 3: centering on what did you know when did you know it?
- 2:46Speaker 3: It'll be really interesting to see how he respond. He's
- 2:48Speaker 3: got a pardon, so he really can't plead the fifth
- 2:51Speaker 3: so needs to be honest with us. He better not
- 2:54Speaker 3: purgere himself, so that this would be a really interesting hearing.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Credit to Chairman Paul with really pursuing the the whole
- 3:00Speaker 3: origin investigation. I'm I'm focusing on other parts of you know,
- 3:04Speaker 3: really our miserably failed response on COVID and all the
- 3:07Speaker 3: cover up of safety signals. But you know, show one
- 3:10Speaker 3: of the big stories here is how the legacy media
- 3:13Speaker 3: continues to cover all this up. They're not covering this
- 3:15Speaker 3: as news. They didn't cover my report that showed that
- 3:19Speaker 3: Peter marts knew there were safety signals. They didn't cover
- 3:22Speaker 3: Chelsea Gabbett's release. I credit Fox News shows like this,
- 3:26Speaker 3: they're actually interviewing folks like us to get this information
- 3:29Speaker 3: out there. But the legacy media is just radio silence
- 3:33Speaker 3: on all these outrages. You know, all these revelations in
- 3:35Speaker 3: terms of what happened in COVID, and we need a
- 3:38Speaker 3: COVID reconing. We need to make sure that the American
- 3:40Speaker 3: publicly knew exactly what happened so this never happens again.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Like I said, a million America, a million Americans died.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I mean, it's it's heartbreaking to this day. I want
- 3:50Speaker 2: to get back to the President's agenda here with you
- 3:52Speaker 2: for just a second, because, like the President has repeatedly said,
- 3:54Speaker 2: he wants the filibuster gone. You know, there's a headline
- 3:59Speaker 2: in Politico that Senator Leader Thoon and House Leader Mike
- 4:04Speaker 2: Johnson are about to have a do nothing summer. But
- 4:07Speaker 2: there's many things that the President wants to see happen.
- 4:09Speaker 2: In particular, he wants to Save America Act to be passed.
- 4:12Speaker 2: And there's been, of course, as you know, a revolt
- 4:14Speaker 2: by some House Republicans to stop the business happening in
- 4:17Speaker 2: the House because they want to see Save America get through.
- 4:21Speaker 2: One thing that political rights. I want to ask you
- 4:23Speaker 2: about this, They say, the lack of widespread GOP support
- 4:26Speaker 2: for upbending the voting systems. This is save America. Like Arizona, Florida, Alaska,
- 4:31Speaker 2: It's an open secret on the Hill. Many Republicans credit
- 4:34Speaker 2: mailed ballots with helping them win in tight races.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Your reaction to that.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Well, first of all, I was a very early supporter
- 4:42Speaker 3: of President Trump's call to end the field Buster. I've
- 4:44Speaker 3: written a couple of beds on it in my Wallstreet Journal.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Lot then I concluded by saying, in a minimum, we
- 4:50Speaker 3: ought to vote on a rule change in the Senate
- 4:52Speaker 3: which would requires sixty seven vote threshold. Get senators on
- 4:55Speaker 3: the record, both Democrat and Republican, do you want to
- 4:58Speaker 3: end the field Buster or not? Democrats, when they had
- 5:01Speaker 3: the chance, all but two voted to end the filibuster.
- 5:04Speaker 3: So I don't know how much more broken the United
- 5:05Speaker 3: States Senate can be that people in our party, you know,
- 5:08Speaker 3: they certainly want to have the filibuster when Democrats have
- 5:11Speaker 3: control to stop their radical left destructive legislation. I understand that,
- 5:16Speaker 3: but again, the reality is they will when they have
- 5:18Speaker 3: the chance, when they have the House Senate in the
- 5:20Speaker 3: White House, they will end the fildbuster. I say, we
- 5:23Speaker 3: do it early, we do it before them, so we
- 5:25Speaker 3: can we can pass Save America at And yeah, you
- 5:28Speaker 3: know there are individual states where mail in balloting is
- 5:32Speaker 3: more important. I get that. I think we can accommodate
- 5:34Speaker 3: those Republican centers that have those kind kinds of concerns.
- 5:38Speaker 3: But the only way this passes is by end the filibuster,
- 5:41Speaker 3: and I am fully supportive of doing so. Again, the
- 5:43Speaker 3: Senate can't be more broken than it is.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Well, okay, so two full question here, because you know
- 5:47Speaker 2: I'm curious and Maria has mentioned this repeatedly. You know,
- 5:49Speaker 2: do you take parts of Save America you folded into
- 5:52Speaker 2: reconciliation three point zero? That's question one. Question two, there's
- 5:55Speaker 2: a sixty seven billion dollar emergency funding request for a
- 5:59Speaker 2: run through the Pentagon. Can back get approval.
- 6:03Speaker 1: My labor day?
- 6:04Speaker 3: Possibly? You know, Listen, we have, as you pointed out earlier,
- 6:09Speaker 3: we have a very short legislative calendar. From my standpoint,
- 6:12Speaker 3: I agree with President Trump the Save America app. Make
- 6:14Speaker 3: sure that only American citizens can vote is crucial to
- 6:17Speaker 3: saving our democracy. So from my standpoint, I think we
- 6:20Speaker 3: need to focus on that and be realistic. The only
- 6:22Speaker 3: way that passes is by end the filbuster. The process
- 6:26Speaker 3: to end the filibuster is start with they vote to
- 6:28Speaker 3: change the rule. Get Democrats and Republicans on record voting.
- 6:33Speaker 3: A lot of Repubplins don't want to be on record
- 6:35Speaker 3: that they realize their constituents want them to end it,
- 6:38Speaker 3: that they again want to maintain the filibuster and understand
- 6:40Speaker 3: it's a legitimate reason to have the filibuster when Democrats
- 6:43Speaker 3: have control. But you have to be realistic. When democrats
- 6:47Speaker 3: get control, they will end it. So we ought to
- 6:50Speaker 3: do it first. So start with the rule change and
- 6:52Speaker 3: then move toward just nuking it with the fifty votes.
- 6:55Speaker 3: That's what I think we ought to do.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Well, we're going to be watching. You're back in session
- 7:00Speaker 2: July thirteenth, Senator Ron Johnson, thank you for being with
- 7:03Speaker 2: us this morning. Really appreciate it.
