- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville, Jack Wars fans, welcome in to Doofall Daily, presented by Genjag.com.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Aluga, thanks so much for being here Monday, November 3rd, your Jack Wars coming off of a win.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: It certainly was that, a win, gut see performance, sloppy performance against the Las Vegas Raiders in Las Vegas.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: Jack Wars win in over time, 30 to 29.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of things go right, a lot of things go wrong.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: Jack Wars ultimately able to gut it out and win against a bad rater's team and make no mistake about it even with rock bowers Ashton genty max cross be that is not a good team in Las Vegas.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: There's some talent.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: There's some coaching all that stuff, but it's not a good team
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar should have been able to beat them more handily than they did even with all the injuries the Jaguars were dealing with.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: I still think that the biggest issue for the Jaguars is self-inflicted wounds.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk about areas the Jaguars must improve.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like, gave them their flowers last night, gave them their flowers this morning.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's great that they're five and three.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's great.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: that they are a couple of games ahead of the Texans and they play the Texans this weekend.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's great that the Colts lost, the Texans lost, the Titans lost all in the same weekend, right?
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's great that they're in the seven seed right now in the AFC.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: If the playoffs started today, they'd be in the playoffs.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: They'd be in the dance.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: But they have a lot of work to do in a lot of different ways.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: Better to be getting that work done at five and three than four and four.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: No question about it.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna dive into that stuff though.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all being here.

- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: Lots of fun gear, help support the channel.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: Save a little bit of money while doing it today as well.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: Penalties and drops are the two ways in which the Jaguars are beating themselves the most.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: In my opinion, you also have the one or so plays a game for introver Lawrence, where there's a head scratch.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: I mean that, that interception.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: After what was a great drive by Trevor Lawrence that interception was just crippling and he's able to overcome it obviously he was dealing with like flu like symptoms whatever you want to call it against the Raiders in this one was up all night sick as Marissa Lawrence shared with everyone.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: Liam Cohen talking about how he was, you know, like, pale as a ghost on the sideline, but Trevor Lawrence, he does have a penchant for making a big mistake in the games in games, but he also has a penchant for playing really well at the end of games and being money, late in games.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: You want to be a little bit more consistent.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, everything around him could be a lot more consistent as well,
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: pre-snaps specifically.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: The drops.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: Which again, I heard, I had some people in the comment section on Twitter saying, like, it didn't feel like the drops were as egregious in this one.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: I completely disagree.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: The Jack Wars drop situation has not gone away.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not the guys like, Parker Washington dropping the ball in this game or it's not the guys that are having to step up and play more because of injuries, really.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: Like, de-ammy brown, fried Thomas Jr.,
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: Hunter Long obviously shouldn't be targeted at a ton, you know, with Britain's strange was back.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: That wouldn't be an issue, but the drops are a major issue, bottom line, point blank, end of story, the top guys on the team.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, Travis Hunter, if you had him, he's not dropping the football lot.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: But the drops,
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: The lack of execution at times by receivers, and I do think Brian Thomas Jr. had a good game overall, but Deami Brown had a horrible game.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: You just don't have bodies at receiver as well, but that's a whole nother issue, but the penalties beating yourself.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: pre-snap.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: You had two on a row that negated a nice Parker Washington place.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: Penalty's pre-snap drops.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence having that one or two plays a game that you really cannot have and look quarterbacks aren't going to be perfect.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: Receivers aren't going to be perfect.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: The offense of Lyman aren't going to be perfect.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's just that.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: To me, the penalties and drops are happening way too often, and Trevor Lawrence is having at least one of those plays like ever again.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: So that stuff has to get cleaned up.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: You have to stop beating yourself, otherwise you're not going to beat good teams.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, they beat the Raiders.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: But they're not going to be beating good teams the way they played on Sunday.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think that they should expect to play as poorly as they play it on Sunday in most games.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: But regardless of all the other issues we're going to talk about, beating yourselves cannot be one of those issues.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: Can't, every weekend week out, and it mostly has been for the Jaguars.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: And when they've played good teams as of late, you know, the Seahawks and the Rams, it's been a struggle.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: Now the Jaguars did not beat themselves against the Chiefs.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: They did not have very many penalties against the chiefs, or some drops, but overall, they played well against the chiefs.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't really beat themselves consistently against the chiefs against the 49ers.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: They had some penalties, but
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: They were able to score, you know, special teams touched down.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: They played really good defense.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: And then you talk about beating the Panthers who all of a sudden looked like a pretty good team.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: They were not a good team when they played in week one.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, they're five and three, but they've beaten themselves too often.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: And they would have given themselves a chance to win against the Seahawks if they had not beaten themselves.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's got to clean up, that's got to get cleaned up.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: They need, so defensively, like tackling was an issue yesterday.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that that is an issue.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's like found a foundational issue of this team.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think they've been a good tackling team overall I think Brock Bowers and Ashton Gentie presents a lot of problems.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna make a lot of people miss tackles throughout their careers too young Really amazingly talented young players, but
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: I also think part of that is not just genty and bowers, but the fact that you're missing, Devon Lloyd, Eric Murray, Trayvon Walker as soon as he leaves, the Raider start scoring a lot more points as well.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Lewis misses most of the game.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously Travis Hunter not available.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: Defensively,
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: It was a lot of guys that you do not expect to have to be on the field very often.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: Antonio Johnson, not playing well.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: Ventral Miller lost in space a little bit, doing a pretty good job coming downhill, but lost in space a little bit.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Foyal Luke and didn't have his best game, right?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: He missed some tackles as well.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, Jarian Jones out there doing his best, obviously.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: Newsom and Brown playing more than they would have Travis Hunter was healthy.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: They need to get healthy on defense.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: And that's one of their biggest issues right now.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: They've got to find a way to get healthy on defense if they can't.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they should, Travis Hunter is obviously going to be out for at least four weeks, right?
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: Beyond Travis Hunter, can you get Eric Murray, Devon Lloyd, Jordan Lewis, and you know, I not have Trayvon Walker punch and somebody had the face side of the helmet, right?
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: Can you get those guys back on the field?
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: Because they are some of your better defensive players when it comes to the back seven.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: The absolutely are, and Trayvon front seven.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: He needs to be out there.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: They need to be able to get Devon Lloyd out there.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: And it felt like, you know, Murray and Lloyd were pretty close.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Lewis left with a shoulder injury.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: You hope he can get him back.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Trayvon Walker should be back.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think he's getting suspended.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: A big part of the defensive issues today in my opinion were health related.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they should be able to get some guys back on defense.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's where we're at there.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to remind y'all about Underdog, fantasy, football season.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: We are about halfway through it, absolutely crazy, but Underdog is the best place to make picks and win money all season long.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: Playing Underdog is super easy.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: Just pick whether your favorite players will go higher or lower on stats like touchdowns or caving arts and receptions and more.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: And now you also have team picks on Underdog.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: You can pick which teams are gonna win games.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: You can take a look at the spread.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: I like the cowboys.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: To beat the cards tonight on Monday night football.

- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: So again, health on defense?
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they need that in a big way.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: They had backups at every level out there on Sunday.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: Stop beating yourselves.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's a
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: obvious.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: If you can't be a team that executes with a little bit more regularity in the areas that are completely controllable, you're going to be in trouble.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: I thought the kick coverage overall feels like a pretty big issue right now.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: Multiple big returns for the Raiders in this game, the Jack Wars have given up a fair amount of big returns throughout the year so far.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: Think opposing teams have had really good field position and a lot of games.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that's
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and the big one for me, that I think we've been talking about for a while that would be a huge area that I'd be looking to upgrade before the trade deadline, which is tomorrow, which is, you know, past rush and in some form or fashion, past rush absolutely, uh,
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: very, very, very good player.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: Eric Armstrong's dead.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I think even so we can look at Eric Armstrong's stats, right?
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think Eric Armstrong's dead is making place, right?
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: But.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: is he consistently making these plays?
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's been a volume shooter this year.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: I've said that multiple times.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: And he's not a bad player to have as a starter, to have as a heavy rotation, a guy that's in your lineup a lot.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_00]: He has 25 pressures.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: He has 4 pff-sax, which half-sax counts as full-sax, but he's rackin' up some numbers, four pressures against the Raiders, four pressures against the ramps, three pressures against the C-Ox, six pressures against San Francisco, and huge play at the end of the game.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: Three pressures against Cincinnati, like he has at least three pressures as an interior defensive lineman and one, two, three, four, five of the Jaguar's games so far.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: but it's on pretty big numbers in terms of the past rush snaps.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like it hasn't been overly impressive.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's been pretty good, but not nothing crazy.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think beyond Eric or I'm said, what else are you getting from your other guys?
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: Agba had a pretty good game against the Raiders, but he has been,
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: below average is the past rusher smoot hasn't done a lot for the jackwards as a past rusher so far this year.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: Devon Hamilton is
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: As close to nothing burger as a past russia is you're going to get obviously kudos to him without him the jackwars don't win the game and he's a very good run stuff where he's like a very good nose tackle in this league uh... and you know going up and batting that past at the line of scrimmage save the game for the jackwars on the two-point conversion but he's not a past russia
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: Mason Smith, I think absolutely is a penetration style player, but he's just not getting the reps because I think he still has a lot of development to do technically and mentally within this defensive system.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: So again, where is it?
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: Cardec, loved in his cardec, but they're using him as a very versatile player, like moving him all around.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: you need it.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: Where is it going to come from?
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: Is it going to come from with them?
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously Josh Hines Island giving you that.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: Trayvon Walker should give you more of that moving forward.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: Where else is it coming from?
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: With any consistency.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be looking at the trade market without question.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: And then, why receiver as well.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: Brian Thomas Jr. dealing with ankle injury through this game, also had the shoulder injury coming into it, had the wrist injury earlier in the season, the Army Brown has the shoulder injury.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter is out for at least four weeks.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: It seems like it's probably going to be more, but that's really speculation.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: He was having more testing done today to get more information there, but
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: Tim Patrick missed this game with a groin injury.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: So you literally had late in the game.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: You had Austin Tramwell, Tim Jones and Parker Washington out there on the field together.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: I mean you Kudos to Tramwell, making a big play as a returner.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: Kudos to Tim Jones, making a big play for the jack wars late in the game.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: Got them a big first down But that is not ideal
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: That is not ideal.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: Now, it's Brian Thomas Jr.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: Healthy coming out of the game.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_00]: Don't really know, the army brown.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't think you can rely on him.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter obviously gone, Britain's strange.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna get him back.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: If he can come back soon, that would be a big help.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: So like if you had, Brian Thomas Jr. Britain's strange Parker Washington and then the army as like a role player,
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: While you're waiting on Travis Hunter to be back, whenever that may be, it might not even be this year, we don't know, could that work?
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: Could that be enough?
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe, but I would want more.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: I would want someone else.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: Downey Brown experiments not working.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: And that's absolutely what it was.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: It was an experiment, like one-year deal, asked them to prove it, not proven it, right?
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: Not proven it in any way, shape, or form in my opinion, deami Brown.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that has a lot to do with the shoulder injury.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it doesn't.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, regardless, it's not happening.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not happening for him with the Jaguars very well, unfortunately.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I'd be looking at why you see for as well.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: And has nothing to do with Brian Thomas Jr.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's really Travis Hunter.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: Not having Travis Hunter.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's crippling because you're about to be relying on him incredibly heavily.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they had started uping his snap count on offense consistently and, you know, then he has a 14 target game against the Rams.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: They're planning on using him as much as they possibly can coming out of the by week.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: Has the knee injury and practice.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I'd be looking at someone who you feel like you can rely on.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: someone who you can build, build around.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: Because, why does he ever, it's not just right now.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think even beyond 2025, yes, you do have BTJ, you do have Travis Hunter, and I believe Parker Washington will be under contract for another year, right?
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: This is his third year.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he'll be under contract through 2026.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: But you're not going to bring him back after the way things are going.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: You don't really have anybody else long term.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, you could use another receiver, not just for 2025.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you go and get one that's just for 2025, I don't blame you.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: If you go trade for one, but I wouldn't mind trading for one that you can potentially have around for a little while.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: as long as contractually, money-wise, cap space-wise, it all makes sense.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: But that's where I'm at.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_00]: That's where the Jaguar's need to improve.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: They've got to stop between themselves with penalties and drops.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence needs to start a little bit faster.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: And he had some really big moments early in the game, this game, but had the horrible in yourception.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: Defense, got to find some help there.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: Got to get more past rush.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: Got to improve the kick coverage.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think you probably need to add a receiver.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, probably need to add a password, sir.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's where I'm at.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know what you think in the comment section below.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all being here.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_00]: Have a good one.
