Raising awareness about prostate cancer
Prostate cancer is the most prevalent cancer among men in Israel, with some 3,500 new cases each year. A PSA-blood test can help in early detection of the disease. As part of prostate cancer awareness month, the Israeli Association of Living with Prostate Cancer recommends that men from the age of 55 do a PSA test annually. The association is offering through its web site an app that can track the yearly test, and send a reminder when it needs to be done.
