Who are the Mount Rushmore of the Buffalo Bills? The top four greatest players of the Bills? Coming up right now. Bill's Mafia. Are you ready? From North Carolina to Buffalo. The Mafia is united. This is your home for the passion, the power, and the pride of the Buffalo Bills. Welcome to Bill's Mafia Carolina Takeover. Let's go, Bills. All right. So got a lot of great responses back from Bill's Mafia regarding who their top four Mount Rushmore players are. This is going to be super fun episode. Probably the number one response that we got that was universal across all platforms that everyone selected there. None other than Bruce, Bruce Smith. That is right. Bruce Smith is arguably the greatest Buffalo Bill of all time. Like, Top tier greatest, no one else is greater than Bruce Smith. That can be debatable for sure, but certainly Bruce Smith has made the top of Mount Rushmore just an absolute beast, just really revolutionized that position, was absolutely a menace back in the 90s. For you young, young guys out there, take take a look at some of his highlights. But Bruce Smith for sure is the number one Mount Rushmore. Top four Buffalo Bills. Number two, Thurman Thomas. Thurman Thomas would be the number two Mount Rushmore player for me. Now, I did get a lot of comments here, typically from the older crowd, maybe not older, older Bills Mafia crowd, because there was some write ins for OJ Simpson, the Juice, the Juice is loose. And so it's interesting because obviously the dynamics of OJ after his career and all that stuff. But there are quite a bit of fan base who grew up with the juice that still kind of put him up as one of the greatest bills of all time when it comes to the football side of things. So I had Thurman Thomas. Obviously, everyone had Thurman Thomas, but I did have quite a few of OJ Simpson as should be on the Mount Rushmore. Definite but should be. So it's certainly something that was very interesting here. Look, Thurman Thomas for sure in my generation is the greatest running back, really the greatest running back in that era, one of the greatest running backs in in that in the 90s era. But I also can see where some of the older fan base has OJ Simpson there as well. So certainly this one is very debatable, and I would love to hear your comments on this one here. But for my pick I'm going to pick Thurman. Okay, the third one on Mount Rushmore, Andre Reed. This one was pretty, pretty easy. I had a few people say Eric Mold, so not sure how that got there. James Lofton, I got a few people that commented about James Lofton. Yeah, Lofton was great, but you know, was he the greatest bill of all time? Probably not. Andre Reed for sure was the greatest wide receiver in my time. ⁓ Not no one's even close, in my opinion. There hasn't been anybody in close. Eric Moles was a nice player, but he's not a Mount Rushmore. So Andre Reed would be the greatest of all time. I'd be interested to hear if you guys think that there is another wide receiver. And then it comes down to the quarterback. Now, this one was awesome when I posed this question. A huge debate going on. Josh Allen or Jim Kelly. When we talk about Mount Rushmore and we talk about Bruce Thurman and Andre, they're no longer playing. So Josh Allen being considered as Mount Rushmore, being one of the top four bills on Mount Rushmore. I don't know if Josh Allen, if we could put Josh Allen in that category yet, because he's still playing, Jim Kelly certainly would be on top. However, with that being said, forecasting to when Josh Allen retires, no matter what happens with the Super Bowls or anything like that. I 100% think that Josh Allen is the greatest quarterback in Bill's history, and he is better than than Jim Kelly. So we're not quite there yet with Josh Allen. Still, he's still playing. So if you're building the Mount Rushmore today, you're probably gonna put Jim Kelly's face up there. But with that being said, no matter what happens to Josh Allen's career, whether he wins Super Bowl or doesn't win Super Bowl, Josh Allen will be the greatest quarterback in Bill's history. He will trump Jim Kelly. And I've gotten a lot of feedback by people going back and forth in that. Basically, they're the generation, you know, my age where they lived through Jim Kelly and now they're they're experiencing Josh Allen. So I totally get it. But I just think overall, Josh is a better athlete, better quarterback than Jim Kelly. And he's only nine seasons in. And so I think that that's where that's where Josh Allen is really going to trump Kelly when it comes to Mount Rushmore. So right now we got Bruce Smith. Number one. Bruce Smith is the number one Mount Rushmore. We got Thurman Thomas as number two. Andre Reed is number three. And right now it's Jim Kelly, but that is going to be etched out, and Josh Allen's face is going to be put up there. It's going to be Bruce, Thurman, Andre, and Kelly. And Josh Allen will be up there. Now, honorable mention of Mount Rushmore. So, like, if you've been to Mount Rushmore, if there was like a side little hill or whatever, ⁓ you gotta look at Steve Tasker. My man, Steve Tashker, one of the greatest special team players of all time, should be a Hall of Famer. So he gets an honorable mention. And for those that know me, personally know me, Tashker's my boy. So I always gotta put him. He's not gonna reach the Mount Rushmore. He's gonna have a little side hill that when you go and visit the Bills Mount Rushmore, there'll be a little plaque with his face on there. But he definitely deserves to be up on the top. Let me know what you guys think about the Mount Rushmore. And is there somebody that I left out? And Josh Allen not be listed on the Mount Rushmore right now, even though he's nine season ins, is that cool? Or should we be doing it? Bruce Smith, Thurman Thomas, Andre Reid, and Josh Allen? Can you imagine that? Just think about that. Even if we don't do that now, just think about that when Josh Allen retires. Jim Kelly gets moved away from Mount Rushmore as one of the top four bills of all time. Man, that's crazy to even think about. Do you replace Josh Allen or do you replace Jim Kelly with Thurman Thomas or Andre Reed. I don't think he can. I think unbelievably, considering I was a 90s kid, unbelievably, I think that Jim Kelly moves off Mount Rushmore when Josh Allen is done and Josh Allen goes out there. Maybe he sit maybe Jim Kelly gets another gets a plaque next to Steve Tasker. If you can believe that, that is crazy. But that's where we are with Josh Allen, just an absolute human, absolute unit, absolute stud. And he just gives us the chance to win every time, just like Jim Kelly does. But Josh Allen will ultimately be the fourth Mount Rushmore player of all time. Again, I want to thank everyone for tuning in, liking, and subscribing.
