- 0:02Speaker 1: Kyle, what do we need to know today?
- 0:04Speaker 2: A company called Inmo is recalling about 1,600 pairs of
- 0:07Speaker 2: its smart glasses because they can overheat enough to burn
- 0:11Speaker 2: your face.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Oh, not good.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Not good.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Definitely dangerous. The weirdly futuristic part is it's not like
- 0:18Speaker 2: if you have these glasses, you have to send them back.
- 0:21Speaker 2: They're like, oh, nothing. Most software a little update couldn't fix.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Not sure I would trust it after that, but that's
- 0:26Speaker 2: what they're saying.
- 0:26Speaker 1: We'll fix it.
- 0:27Speaker 2: SNAP benefits are getting a little bump starting October 1st,
- 0:30Speaker 2: which is this week. So families here in Arizona are
- 0:33Speaker 2: going to see a little more money each month for groceries.
- 0:35Speaker 2: But there's also a bigger change happening behind the scenes
- 0:38Speaker 2: with states having to pick up more of the cost,
- 0:40Speaker 2: which could eventually mean changes to.
- 0:42Speaker 1: The program here, too.
- 0:44Speaker 2: If you've been thinking like plane tickets are so expensive
- 0:47Speaker 2: right now, I'll just wait till they, you know, cheaper
- 0:51Speaker 2: fuel prices, the tickets will drop, right?
- 0:54Speaker 1: And that's what you're waiting for.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Well, you might as well just grab the tickets because
- 1:00Speaker 2: apparently airlines have plenty of other costs that are going
- 1:03Speaker 2: up as well. And as long as people keep paying
- 1:05Speaker 2: these prices to travel, there's not much incentive for them
- 1:08Speaker 2: to bring the fares down. So they're just going to
- 1:09Speaker 2: stay expensive forever.
- 1:11Speaker 3: That is such a bummer because I was thinking that
- 1:14Speaker 3: maybe when the gas prices go down, those flights will too.
- 1:17Speaker 1: But I mean, hey.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Now they're saying, nope.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I know. I know.
- 1:22Speaker 2: That one cuts deep. So congratulations to the Diamondbacks. Their
- 1:28Speaker 2: season is now over. I mean, they full on had
- 1:32Speaker 2: us to the very last day. Didn't end up getting
- 1:34Speaker 2: what we wanted. We definitely wanted to make it to
- 1:36Speaker 2: the playoffs, but you got to give it to them.
- 1:39Speaker 2: We literally held on to the very last game.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Against the Padres.
- 1:44Speaker 2: We lost, which Ended up kicking us out for the season.
- 1:47Speaker 2: But it was a good, exciting season. And we're proud
- 1:50Speaker 2: of our D-backs. You guys, this week. Also, October 1st,
- 1:55Speaker 2: State Fair opens.
- 1:56Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:56Speaker 2: The State Fair opens. There's a lot of new stuff
- 1:59Speaker 2: for the State Fair this week or this time around.
- 2:02Speaker 2: They've got a new ride called Air Raid. Rescue Dogs
- 2:05Speaker 2: from America's Got Talent will be there doing stunts. And
- 2:08Speaker 2: something called Parrots of the Caribbean, which I already need
- 2:11Speaker 2: to see it. And obviously, the food is completely unhinged.
- 2:13Speaker 2: They just released their, like, fair food list. They got
- 2:16Speaker 2: pozole egg rolls. Nashville hot chicken and mac and cheese balls,
- 2:20Speaker 2: PB & J corn dogs, bacon-wrapped churros, the list goes
- 2:23Speaker 2: on and on. So the State Fair is always really
- 2:26Speaker 2: fun to go to every single year, and this year
- 2:27Speaker 2: will be no different, and that's what you need to know.
- 2:30Speaker 1: We got this $ 250 gift card to The Voice, or
- 2:33Speaker 1: from The Voice, courtesy of The Voice.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Pat, are you there?
- 2:37Speaker 1: Yes, sir. All right, if you get this question right,
- 2:40Speaker 1: are you doing the dishes, Pat?
- 2:43Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Can't stop doing the dishes. Hold off on doing the
- 2:47Speaker 1: dishes real quick.
- 2:47Speaker 2: We're going to ask this trivia question.
- 2:48Speaker 1: If you get it right, you win $ 250. Okay, talk
- 2:50Speaker 1: to me about The Voice. It's, by the way, continues tonight.
- 2:53Speaker 1: It's 7 on NBC. But on Wednesday's episode of The Voice,
- 2:57Speaker 1: it opened on a cliffhanger from the previous evening's episode.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Four chair... turn contestant lexi stevens needing to decide who
- 3:05Speaker 1: she's going to select as her coach this coach starts
- 3:08Speaker 1: making their plea by telling her that was the best
- 3:11Speaker 1: blind audition that has ever been i think you're probably
- 3:14Speaker 1: going to win the voice name that coach.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Um i think that was was that adam levine i
- 3:24Speaker 2: think that was adam levine it.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Was adam levine and for a bonus here does lexi
- 3:28Speaker 1: choose adam Yes. You got them both right. Yes, absolutely.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Good job.
- 3:36Speaker 1: You win.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Oh, cool.
- 3:37Speaker 1: You just scored $ 250. Queen Latifah, Riley Green, joined Kelly
- 3:41Speaker 1: Clarkson and Adam Levine as coaches on The Voice. And
- 3:44Speaker 1: we've got $ 250 for you. Watch and listen to us,
- 3:47Speaker 1: John Jay and Rich, to win The Voice blind auditions.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Continue tonight at 7 on NBC12 News. Way to go, Pat. Congratulations.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Awesome. Awesome. Thank you very much.
- 3:56Speaker 1: You got it. What's the latest, Rich, on your leg?
- 3:59Speaker 2: I noticed no crutches today.
- 4:00Speaker 3: What are you, three weeks, no crutches?
- 4:01Speaker 1: I mean, three weeks of crutches? Three weeks of crutches. Now,
- 4:04Speaker 1: there is a crutch in here in case I have
- 4:06Speaker 1: to do a very long walk down a very long haul,
- 4:09Speaker 1: but I was able to ditch him this week, and
- 4:13Speaker 1: I'm still doing PT, but we've stopped doing it. You
- 4:16Speaker 1: know what dry needling is? Yeah. Where they stick the
- 4:18Speaker 1: needles in there and they put electricity through you? They
- 4:21Speaker 1: say that my swelling and my torn meniscus has gone
- 4:24Speaker 1: down enough that we don't need to do that anymore.
- 4:26Speaker 1: So now... It is straight rehab, which is a lot
- 4:29Speaker 1: of fun. It's a lot of wall sits, which is
- 4:31Speaker 1: if you got, you know, a tear in your knee,
- 4:33Speaker 1: that doesn't feel great. But I mean, that's that's all
- 4:36Speaker 1: part of the process.
- 4:36Speaker 3: So do they think with like your rehab or your
- 4:39Speaker 3: PT that you're going to be able to avoid surgery?
- 4:42Speaker 1: I go see the knee surgeon next week and she
- 4:45Speaker 1: will tell me.
- 4:46Speaker 3: So I don't know yet. We shall see.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Yeah. But they say you got to do like a
- 4:49Speaker 1: bunch of PT anyway, whether you do surgery or not.
- 4:51Speaker 1: So I might as well just do the PT.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Right. And if you do it now, it'll have you
- 4:55Speaker 3: in a better shape for when or if you.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Do have surgery. But I'm trying to avoid that. It
- 4:59Speaker 1: all costs.
