- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with I R Radio.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Hi everybody, this is Trista and today I'm so low.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Bob couldn't make it. He is traveling today and he
- 0:13Speaker 1: was trying to make it work. He I think just
- 0:16Speaker 1: got to the airport or is going to the airport
- 0:19Speaker 1: and didn't want to interrupt the interview by jumping out
- 0:22Speaker 1: of his car and going inside and going through t
- 0:25Speaker 1: s A. So, uh, so he can't make it today.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I'm really sad. We miss you, Bob. But I'm really
- 0:31Speaker 1: excited about our guest. We've got Diana Papas. She is
- 0:34Speaker 1: one of my longtime bachelor friends well really kind of
- 0:38Speaker 1: my sister in bachelor family. Um, and I'm really excited
- 0:41Speaker 1: to talk to her today. So Hannah, will you please
- 0:44Speaker 1: bring Diana in Hi, beautiful h So for everyone listening,
- 0:50Speaker 1: it was Diana's birthday. Happy, happy birthday. UM what did
- 0:54Speaker 1: you do in years young? That's right, That's right. I'm
- 0:58Speaker 1: going to keep telling myself that, but I have to
- 1:00Speaker 1: tell you. So we just had brad on Um well
- 1:03Speaker 1: Pep'll get it. Yes, why was that? It was great? Um?
- 1:08Speaker 1: He is just one of the nicest people. Um, just
- 1:13Speaker 1: so sweet and it was great to talk to him,
- 1:15Speaker 1: just I mean, obviously we can go into it. Huh.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I'm surprised he did the podcast. I know, shocking, right,
- 1:23Speaker 1: he does not do this stuff, like he's not on
- 1:27Speaker 1: any social media whatsoever, like, has never been on it before.
- 1:32Speaker 1: So yeah, we were really excited to talk to him.
- 1:35Speaker 1: He doesn't. Nope, he's dating someone and there's it seems
- 1:40Speaker 1: like they're serious ish, like they've talked about kids. But
- 1:43Speaker 1: I don't know, well, I don't know. We'll see verdicts
- 1:47Speaker 1: verdicts out and and honestly, we might not even know
- 1:50Speaker 1: if he ever gets married because he's got on social
- 1:53Speaker 1: you can't keep up with him in anyway. He's kind
- 1:57Speaker 1: of like, I'm so glad to hear he's doing well.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I saw that Harrison posted a photo last week of
- 2:01Speaker 1: the two of them together having lunch or something like that,
- 2:05Speaker 1: and I just thought, it's just really great. It's it's
- 2:07Speaker 1: good to see him, you know, and people still keeping
- 2:11Speaker 1: in touch with him, you know, yes, yes, of course,
- 2:15Speaker 1: it was great to talk to him. You know. I
- 2:17Speaker 1: know you're like me and we don't wish our exes
- 2:20Speaker 1: any bad juju, but yeah, you know, yeah, I mean
- 2:25Speaker 1: he's he's a great guy. Um. I have nothing but
- 2:29Speaker 1: love for him. Um. So, anyway, I was going to
- 2:31Speaker 1: bring up so Brad's birthday. My fiftie, as you know,
- 2:35Speaker 1: was at the end of October and Brad's fiftie was
- 2:38Speaker 1: November ten, and so he was talking about kind of
- 2:42Speaker 1: the same vibe, like, oh, yeah, it's just a number
- 2:46Speaker 1: or whatever. And I'm sorry. I love that everyone's saying that.
- 2:50Speaker 1: And I know, listen, I get it. It's better than
- 2:53Speaker 1: the alternative of not having a birthday. I understand that,
- 2:56Speaker 1: but I just don't like it. I don't like aging.
- 2:59Speaker 1: You're funny, never liked getting older. No, what I mean,
- 3:03Speaker 1: that's you do this every year. I know our group
- 3:07Speaker 1: text and we're we're wishing everyone a happy birthday. You
- 3:09Speaker 1: do this every year. You do not like to get
- 3:13Speaker 1: and that's okay. A lot of people are that way,
- 3:15Speaker 1: and right with that means a lot of things, because
- 3:19Speaker 1: we are human, right, and that comes with a lot
- 3:23Speaker 1: of changes, and for women in particular, physical changes, and
- 3:26Speaker 1: those things hard to like look at ourselves differently, or
- 3:29Speaker 1: see our bodies changing, or or or peoples or gray
- 3:34Speaker 1: hair or all of it. That's hard to do. Those
- 3:38Speaker 1: things embrace those things and feel good about those things,
- 3:40Speaker 1: do you know what I mean? Gaining weight, everything changing,
- 3:44Speaker 1: Like it's hard to steel be positive with those things
- 3:47Speaker 1: because you still want to feel really beautiful. But honestly,
- 3:50Speaker 1: I'm with Brad like I feel pretty good. You know,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I don't know to go back to right. I would
- 4:01Speaker 1: go back to that body any right, honestly, at any time,
- 4:06Speaker 1: but like totally like as a person emotionally and like
- 4:11Speaker 1: my mental well being and just being more secure in
- 4:15Speaker 1: who I am at this, you know, with that comes like, hey,
- 4:21Speaker 1: it is not about how many friends you have, It's
- 4:23Speaker 1: about the quality of the few that you do have.
- 4:25Speaker 1: And like, I don't know that I understood that when
- 4:28Speaker 1: I was younger, you know, right right now, I have
- 4:32Speaker 1: a lot of conversations with Blake Sleeve about that because
- 4:34Speaker 1: and pardon me for having a hot slash right when
- 4:37Speaker 1: you were talking about ages. It was in therapy esday
- 4:40Speaker 1: on my birthday. I went to therapy, which is a
- 4:43Speaker 1: per sanity your birthday, and I was like, yeah, a
- 4:47Speaker 1: little birthday sanity, I need it, hey, sitting in there
- 4:50Speaker 1: and it was, I swear to God. Halfway through it
- 4:52Speaker 1: was like sweating and I was like, I'm sorry, is
- 4:55Speaker 1: it is? Do you have the heat on? Why is
- 4:57Speaker 1: it a hundred and five degrees in here? Because well
- 4:59Speaker 1: you are forty one. I was like, damn it, damn
- 5:02Speaker 1: it smokes, that's really happening. Is that the first one
- 5:07Speaker 1: you've ever had? Yeah? I mean it was oh my gosh, yeah,
- 5:11Speaker 1: it was really hot. And there in my defense, yeah,
- 5:15Speaker 1: she just she just was fine with it. No. I
- 5:18Speaker 1: they are not fun, but you know, I yes, the
- 5:20Speaker 1: physical stuff is not fun to deal with. But I
- 5:23Speaker 1: will say just feeling older in terms of my body
- 5:27Speaker 1: and what I can do is such a bummer. Like
- 5:30Speaker 1: I hate being in pain, like having back pain or
- 5:33Speaker 1: knee pain, or my body just doesn't work as well.
- 5:37Speaker 1: A tough year too, Yeah, just health wise in general.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Both you and Ryan like that's those things are just
- 5:44Speaker 1: tough and it is a route awakening to realize that
- 5:46Speaker 1: we just don't bounce back as quickly as we used to.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Totally that that is such a downer to me because
- 5:52Speaker 1: I used to like, hey, I you know, go whatever,
- 5:56Speaker 1: not work out and eat whatever I wanted, and then
- 5:59Speaker 1: I'd be like, go go back to the gym, and
- 6:01Speaker 1: two weeks later I'd been right back where I started.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Not anymore. Even if I go like two days, which
- 6:07Speaker 1: I never do. If I did two days at the gym,
- 6:10Speaker 1: it would still take me like six months at least.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I never do. I don't ever. You don't ever work out.
- 6:18Speaker 1: I mean a little bit here. Oh my gosh, come on,
- 6:23Speaker 1: I've gained like fifteen pounds, like I am. I'm the
- 6:26Speaker 1: heaviest that I've ever been in my entire life. I
- 6:28Speaker 1: can't tell you the last time I've seen my six pack.
- 6:30Speaker 1: But like, I just but I guess I'm kind of
- 6:35Speaker 1: just in this place of where just like accepted, I
- 6:38Speaker 1: just I just want to get like my mental health
- 6:41Speaker 1: and my emotional well being together. I just do what
- 6:45Speaker 1: feels good right now. And if that means I work out,
- 6:48Speaker 1: then that's greatly. I'm totally fine with that too. If
- 6:51Speaker 1: I go to I don't work out, you know, sometimes
- 6:54Speaker 1: that's okay, all right, right, I'm just doing what feels good.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I'll get out and walk a lot. I do enjoy that,
- 7:00Speaker 1: enjoy to get out and walk my dog and listen
- 7:02Speaker 1: to a podcast. So I do try to at least
- 7:04Speaker 1: do that. But yeah, really, at the end of the day,
- 7:07Speaker 1: I had two martinis at dinner last night, and I
- 7:09Speaker 1: feel like I need a nap, like for the night.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I know that too, Like I, Yeah, alcohol, we don't
- 7:16Speaker 1: drink a lot of alcohol, but still when we do,
- 7:19Speaker 1: I feel it. Even if I have a glass of
- 7:22Speaker 1: wine at night, I feel like a little sluggish the
- 7:25Speaker 1: next day. It's not bad, but I want to go
- 7:28Speaker 1: back to bed right now, yeah, right, while you're not allowed.
- 7:32Speaker 1: We're going to talk for a little bit longer. Um,
- 7:36Speaker 1: But I do you, you know, I I love that
- 7:39Speaker 1: you are in a place of acceptance and happiness and
- 7:43Speaker 1: doing what feels right for you. That's what everyone should do,
- 7:46Speaker 1: and even when you're younger. Like I was about to say,
- 7:48Speaker 1: with Blakesley, I have had so many conversations because she
- 7:52Speaker 1: is a teenager, talking about quality of friendship and as
- 7:57Speaker 1: opposed to quantity, like it is much more important to
- 8:01Speaker 1: surround yourself with people who lift you up rather than
- 8:05Speaker 1: um just having the numbers, you know. I We talked
- 8:09Speaker 1: about that constantly, and I think it is a hard
- 8:11Speaker 1: learning lesson. Even at fifty, I feel like there are
- 8:15Speaker 1: definitely times when when I get um, I'm sad because
- 8:21Speaker 1: I feel left out of something or you know, but
- 8:24Speaker 1: everyone has families and their own lives, and it's just
- 8:28Speaker 1: hard these days. People are busy. People are busy. Yeah,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I think the other like hard lesson. I mean, I
- 8:37Speaker 1: am trying to implement implement this with my own children,
- 8:40Speaker 1: but it's been a hard lesson for me in the
- 8:43Speaker 1: last probably year and a half. In particular, is on
- 8:49Speaker 1: the same concept of how many people, right, how many
- 8:51Speaker 1: friends you have? It's not quantity, right, it's the quality.
- 8:54Speaker 1: And I think that it is so important to be
- 8:58Speaker 1: truly and fully loved, holy and authentically for who you
- 9:03Speaker 1: truly are. Do you know the good and the bad? Right?
- 9:08Speaker 1: Still have good and bad And we're all a product
- 9:11Speaker 1: of how we were raised. And no one is perfect,
- 9:14Speaker 1: and you know we have strengths and we have weaknesses.
- 9:16Speaker 1: And it's truly important to be around and surround yourself
- 9:22Speaker 1: with people who fully love you for who you are
- 9:26Speaker 1: alifically holy. Right, we're children of God and He loves
- 9:30Speaker 1: us as broken as we are. That should be done.
- 9:33Speaker 1: And if you are not being surrounded by those kind
- 9:37Speaker 1: of people, you need to reevaluate your situation and your friendships.
- 9:41Speaker 1: And I'm all right with that. I'm alright with people
- 9:44Speaker 1: who are willing to put on the boots and walk
- 9:46Speaker 1: through the ship like those yes, those are the kind
- 9:49Speaker 1: of yes I want to be friends with because that's
- 9:51Speaker 1: the kind of person I am, right fault, and I
- 9:55Speaker 1: love so truly deeply that that's just who I am.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Like that's the kind of friend I am, And that's
- 10:00Speaker 1: the kind of friends that I want. And I got
- 10:03Speaker 1: so important and I want that for my children. I
- 10:04Speaker 1: want that same for anyone. You know, say it has
- 10:09Speaker 1: to be it's very intentional, Like I feel like the
- 10:11Speaker 1: word of the last couple of years has been intentional,
- 10:14Speaker 1: Like you know, focus your intentions on those who do
- 10:19Speaker 1: lift you up and who support you and accept you
- 10:22Speaker 1: and all of those things. So yeah, I love you
- 10:25Speaker 1: for that. Loyalty, relationships and refinement. That's what right to
- 10:31Speaker 1: make other people happy, that's not what we're meant to do. Relationships,
- 10:35Speaker 1: and I mean across the board, marriage, you know, significant others, friendships.
- 10:40Speaker 1: It's about refinement. It is not about making someone happy
- 10:45Speaker 1: or changing someone. It's about refinement totally. And I feel
- 10:49Speaker 1: like these days I am just trying to get through it,
- 10:54Speaker 1: like I you know what I mean. Like there are
- 10:57Speaker 1: times when like yesterday, for ex ample, I got my
- 11:00Speaker 1: hair done. Um, you know, go into the hair solan
- 11:03Speaker 1: air looks so good today, thanks. Thanks. So I go
- 11:09Speaker 1: and I get my hair done, and it's always a
- 11:11Speaker 1: day that Ryan hates because I am gone for so.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I mean, you know, as a woman, well you probably
- 11:16Speaker 1: don't because you get a little highlights, but you don't
- 11:18Speaker 1: have to do anything because you have gorgeous hair and
- 11:21Speaker 1: probably not a lot of gray must be where they
- 11:24Speaker 1: start right underneath here this is oh yes, or just
- 11:27Speaker 1: right at the top, there's like a I was who
- 11:34Speaker 1: I was like, what are all theys coming from? Stress
- 11:37Speaker 1: up life? Anyway, So I was gone most of the
- 11:40Speaker 1: day and he hates the day, and of course I
- 11:43Speaker 1: get home later on in the day and this is
- 11:45Speaker 1: of course after I go picked blakes Lee up and
- 11:47Speaker 1: I from a friends who she had a sleepover with,
- 11:51Speaker 1: like all these things, you know, right, went to the gym,
- 11:54Speaker 1: come home and I'm like, do you want to do anything?
- 11:57Speaker 1: And he's like, I just want to hang out with
- 11:58Speaker 1: my wife, you know, like beautiful. I know. I'm like,
- 12:06Speaker 1: you know what, some days I just gotta have a
- 12:09Speaker 1: me day and put time in. I'm sorry that I
- 12:11Speaker 1: can't be around a hundred percent of the time to
- 12:13Speaker 1: make you happy. But um, you know, sometimes I just
- 12:16Speaker 1: gotta take some time for me. So yeah, it's it's
- 12:19Speaker 1: so true, so do it. Yeah, that's right. Okay, So
- 12:24Speaker 1: tell me about what's going on in your life lately.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I know you do the podcast with Jessica. Um are
- 12:30Speaker 1: you blogging still? I know you're flying, So tell me
- 12:34Speaker 1: what's going on. I have not been doing any of
- 12:37Speaker 1: those things. You haven't. Well, you did fly recently. I
- 12:41Speaker 1: know I'm still working quite a bit, and I feel
- 12:44Speaker 1: really lucky to work for one family in particular, who
- 12:47Speaker 1: I just genuinely love. I've been with them for a
- 12:50Speaker 1: really long time and they're really good to me, and
- 12:51Speaker 1: they're really good to my family. Yeah, tell tell everyone
- 12:54Speaker 1: what you do, though, because I don't think everyone I know,
- 12:56Speaker 1: everyone is always so shocked to hear the real job.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I'm like, I am a real person. That is fascinating
- 13:05Speaker 1: when people write me on social media, Like if if
- 13:08Speaker 1: I post that I have been flying or whatever, I
- 13:10Speaker 1: still get people who email me or sorry DM me
- 13:13Speaker 1: and say, wow, you work, And I'm like, how could
- 13:17Speaker 1: I not? There are built bills around here, like mortgage
- 13:22Speaker 1: if you know, living in the state of California, but
- 13:25Speaker 1: it is really high. Yeah. Yeah, I am a corporate
- 13:29Speaker 1: flight attendant. I have done it, and for those who
- 13:32Speaker 1: don't know, it means private aviation. I work in private aviation.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I can't imagine working for Delta passing out peanuts and
- 13:38Speaker 1: a right especially coming from where you're coming from, it
- 13:42Speaker 1: would be awesome. Addison, maybe she'll follow in mommy's footsteps. Yeah,
- 13:48Speaker 1: so I work in private aviation and I like the
- 13:51Speaker 1: freedom of it because I genuinely am a foodie. I
- 13:54Speaker 1: like to cook and or will taste anything that I make,
- 13:58Speaker 1: So I get to cook and do that in flight,
- 14:01Speaker 1: which I really appreciate. And then also the whole concept
- 14:04Speaker 1: of being able to travel and stay in a hotel
- 14:06Speaker 1: and go places that I want to go all by myself.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Um so I've done that for gosh eleven years now,
- 14:15Speaker 1: eleven years. I had some I have, like this transitional
- 14:19Speaker 1: period of time after I did the Bachelor Rep where
- 14:20Speaker 1: it really wasn't sure what to do with my life.
- 14:24Speaker 1: I think we all do. Yeah. Yeah, it's weird because
- 14:26Speaker 1: you're a normal person, but you're also put in this
- 14:29Speaker 1: place where it's hard for you to do normal things.
- 14:33Speaker 1: So I couldn't do real estate anymore because I just
- 14:36Speaker 1: had strange people who wanted to hang out with me
- 14:38Speaker 1: and were utilizing my time, yes to get to meet
- 14:41Speaker 1: me and pretend to buy a house, you know what
- 14:43Speaker 1: I mean. And then it just wasn't safe for me
- 14:45Speaker 1: to go out alone right show houses anymore. So that
- 14:48Speaker 1: was hard because I was still pretty young and I
- 14:51Speaker 1: was really good at it and I just didn't know
- 14:53Speaker 1: what to do. So and then, as you know this
- 14:56Speaker 1: trusted with the opportunities that come after the past. I
- 14:59Speaker 1: got to do of really cool things like I got
- 15:01Speaker 1: to work on the Red Carpet, and I hosted a
- 15:03Speaker 1: television show, and I got to go to Iraq twice,
- 15:07Speaker 1: in Afghanistan twice to visit the troops, and just opportunities
- 15:12Speaker 1: that I really enjoyed and that I didn't want to
- 15:15Speaker 1: turn down. So then this period of time where I
- 15:18Speaker 1: was like, oh, do I want to continue a life
- 15:20Speaker 1: in television? Like what do I want to do at
- 15:22Speaker 1: thirty years old? You know, I didn't like the concept
- 15:27Speaker 1: of people willing to go over whoever they could to
- 15:30Speaker 1: get on top. And I couldn't get packed that because
- 15:33Speaker 1: at my core, I am not that person and I
- 15:38Speaker 1: didn't want to compete for that. Like I just wanted
- 15:42Speaker 1: to feel full, and I wanted to be happy, and
- 15:43Speaker 1: I wanted to have a career that I enjoyed. I
- 15:45Speaker 1: would like to make some money, you know what I mean.
- 15:48Speaker 1: But like I couldn't. I couldn't deal with that. I
- 15:50Speaker 1: couldn't deal with the competition or walking into every E
- 15:53Speaker 1: News audition and sitting there before other bachelorettes. You know,
- 15:57Speaker 1: whoever was it was popular at the time got the job.
- 16:00Speaker 1: You know, it didn't matter. We were whoever was popular
- 16:03Speaker 1: at the time. And so I just didn't like how
- 16:06Speaker 1: it made me feel and where it was going. So
- 16:11Speaker 1: it doesn't mean that I don't still do things like that.
- 16:13Speaker 1: If something really awesome falls into my lap, then I
- 16:16Speaker 1: will still take those opportunities. But it has to feel
- 16:19Speaker 1: right for me, and it has to go right for
- 16:20Speaker 1: my family, partially in a career I pursued anymore. So
- 16:23Speaker 1: I had some friends who are in the business and
- 16:25Speaker 1: we're willing to turn in my application for me. And
- 16:27Speaker 1: before the Bachelorette, I had had a long history and
- 16:30Speaker 1: service industry and that's really all I am. I'm a
- 16:32Speaker 1: glorified server in the air. And also that's how fun. Yeah,
- 16:37Speaker 1: I like really enjoy it. So I've been working a lot,
- 16:40Speaker 1: long story short of and working a lot and traveling,
- 16:42Speaker 1: which takes up a lot of time, and then yeah,
- 16:44Speaker 1: and finding that when I'm away and I come home,
- 16:46Speaker 1: I really just want to soak up my time with
- 16:48Speaker 1: my family, so it's hard to to squeeze in those
- 16:51Speaker 1: other things where I really enjoyed the creative pieces of blogging.
- 16:55Speaker 1: I still have my website, but I haven't done anything
- 16:58Speaker 1: in a really long time. And and the podcast too.
- 17:01Speaker 1: We're just on a break. I'm not really sure what's
- 17:03Speaker 1: happening there, and I kind of feel free without it,
- 17:06Speaker 1: do you know what I mean? Of course, that's how
- 17:08Speaker 1: it happened to me. Yeah, we recorded down in Beverly Hills,
- 17:12Speaker 1: So you know, I enjoyed it. I don't just don't know.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I'm a bit of a transitional face, so I'm not
- 17:17Speaker 1: sure what. But yeah, as much as I travel and
- 17:21Speaker 1: when I come home, I want to spend all of
- 17:22Speaker 1: my time with the kids. And that comes down to
- 17:25Speaker 1: even like you know, social media stuff like I really
- 17:28Speaker 1: kind of a veered away from doing any kind of
- 17:30Speaker 1: sam like paid post because it's not worth my time
- 17:35Speaker 1: or hurt, and I'm kind of like my goal and
- 17:38Speaker 1: it takes a lot of time. Yeah, my goal is
- 17:40Speaker 1: to be an influencer. That's not my goal. That's that
- 17:44Speaker 1: has been my goal. Like problem sharing, you know, products
- 17:48Speaker 1: or things that I truly feel good about or like
- 17:51Speaker 1: passionate about. Like I don't do it just for the check.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I'm not willing to sell my life for a paycheck.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Like that's not who I am. So, I you know,
- 18:00Speaker 1: I don't know. I think I'm just like I'm trying
- 18:02Speaker 1: to figure myself out again. Yeah, I feel the sway
- 18:07Speaker 1: a self help journey. I'm reading all of the books.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I don't know, if you want to show you. Yes,
- 18:14Speaker 1: these for my girlfriend, for my girlfriends. I follow this
- 18:18Speaker 1: girl on Instagram. That's how we heal. Yeah, and she
- 18:22Speaker 1: is like a self help like account. But she you know, anyway,
- 18:27Speaker 1: I totally got like what do they call it? What
- 18:29Speaker 1: do the kids call it these days? TikTok TikTok. I
- 18:32Speaker 1: bought it. I got it. The kids call it, you
- 18:35Speaker 1: know what I mean. But it's it's a self help book,
- 18:37Speaker 1: and it's a self healing book. And she posts a
- 18:39Speaker 1: lot of uh inspirational things on Instagram. And so I
- 18:44Speaker 1: started her a long time ago and really love it
- 18:47Speaker 1: stuff that she put out. So I think that's where
- 18:49Speaker 1: I'm at. I'm in a bit of a self healing journey.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Do you know what, I think that's awesome. I really
- 18:56Speaker 1: like that. I love that you are willing to talk
- 19:10Speaker 1: about it openly and say, you know what, I want
- 19:15Speaker 1: to make sure my life is a quality I'm having
- 19:18Speaker 1: a quality life, you know, and why not go on
- 19:22Speaker 1: a self help journey. I've always felt like it was
- 19:26Speaker 1: so interesting that people don't talk about when they because
- 19:30Speaker 1: I'm I'm an open book, you know that, like if
- 19:32Speaker 1: I'm having a bad day. In general has just been
- 19:35Speaker 1: so telling for a long time. And also I think
- 19:38Speaker 1: that kind of transitioned right around the COVID time where
- 19:42Speaker 1: so many people struggling. People either thrived or they were
- 19:44Speaker 1: they were a mess. Do you know what I mean?
- 19:48Speaker 1: We thankfully thrived during COVID. I loved nothing good being
- 19:52Speaker 1: locked in my house with Stephen and our kids, like
- 19:55Speaker 1: it was years of my life. Like I loved it. It
- 19:57Speaker 1: It was the first time ever that we were home
- 20:00Speaker 1: at the same time. I got to have dinner every
- 20:01Speaker 1: single night with her. Do you know what I mean,
- 20:04Speaker 1: I loved not having to over commit myself and go
- 20:08Speaker 1: out there or do anything and just be able to
- 20:10Speaker 1: be with my kids every single night. I like that,
- 20:13Speaker 1: but I realized it was not that for a lot
- 20:15Speaker 1: of people. So mental health and mental health awareness and
- 20:19Speaker 1: suicide prevention, all of that has has been brought to
- 20:24Speaker 1: such a light in the last couple of years, where
- 20:28Speaker 1: it was so taboo to talk about before, Like, hey,
- 20:30Speaker 1: I'm mentally I'm struggling right now in face and I
- 20:34Speaker 1: so appreciate people who are not scared to say that
- 20:37Speaker 1: right now. And I'm like, I pretty pride myself on
- 20:40Speaker 1: the fact that I've always been an open book, Like
- 20:42Speaker 1: I don't really have a lot to hide. There are
- 20:45Speaker 1: obviously things that I keep close to my heart, and
- 20:47Speaker 1: when I'm ready, I will share things. That's just that's
- 20:51Speaker 1: how I process. But we all have pieces of trauma now,
- 20:57Speaker 1: whether it was like big pieces of trauma or little
- 21:00Speaker 1: pieces of trauma. Well, myself, I've been through a lot
- 21:03Speaker 1: of trauma. My mom died when I was really young,
- 21:05Speaker 1: and that is hard. That causes deep rooted abandonment issues.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Like I'm pretty self aware of the things that I carry,
- 21:13Speaker 1: and that a place where I want to like fine
- 21:16Speaker 1: tune those things and I want to I want to
- 21:20Speaker 1: work on those things like right now, to be the
- 21:23Speaker 1: best version of myself. I keep saying this authentically for
- 21:29Speaker 1: who I am, and I truly understand that I have
- 21:32Speaker 1: my things too, Like I can be really loud, and
- 21:35Speaker 1: I can die away from the conflict I do not.
- 21:39Speaker 1: I'm pretty smart and I can handle myself. And I
- 21:42Speaker 1: believe in the things that I'm passionate about the things
- 21:45Speaker 1: that I believe in. And you know, like I have
- 21:47Speaker 1: a daughter, now you know this, Trista, Like I want
- 21:50Speaker 1: a strong young woman who is not afraid to stand
- 21:54Speaker 1: up for what she believes in and knows her self
- 21:57Speaker 1: worth and is proud herself. That is incordant to me.
- 22:00Speaker 1: So for sure, self self awareness journey here I am.
- 22:04Speaker 1: I I love it. I honestly I think that we
- 22:07Speaker 1: all should be on a self awareness journey all the time.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Um yeah, I'm I'm an open book too. I have
- 22:13Speaker 1: shared many conversations with you about how I'm having a
- 22:17Speaker 1: bad time or a bad day or whatever is going on,
- 22:20Speaker 1: and and it it always is shocking to me when
- 22:23Speaker 1: other people don't, like you know what I mean. And
- 22:26Speaker 1: maybe not shocking. You don't have to do this alone. Right.
- 22:31Speaker 1: If you're having a bad day, it's okay. If you
- 22:33Speaker 1: feel fat, it's okay. Totally unworthy, it's okay those things.
- 22:37Speaker 1: But the whole, the whole point is that we are
- 22:39Speaker 1: not meant to do this alone, right, I mean, across
- 22:43Speaker 1: the board life in general, we are not meant to
- 22:45Speaker 1: do this alone. We are meant community. And you should
- 22:49Speaker 1: be able to lean on those people, your friends, your family,
- 22:53Speaker 1: your husband, whoever that is. You should not being on
- 22:56Speaker 1: those people and be your true authentic self. And that
- 22:58Speaker 1: means if you're having a bad day or your having
- 23:01Speaker 1: terrible thoughts about your own self, your body, your emotions
- 23:03Speaker 1: are turning fifty one or whatever that is, like you're
- 23:06Speaker 1: allowed to voice that and you should feel and you
- 23:09Speaker 1: should feel supported. Right, No, agreed, And then back to
- 23:13Speaker 1: the influencer stuff. Like I feel the same way. I
- 23:16Speaker 1: will scroll on Instagram, but I don't post as much
- 23:20Speaker 1: just because I feel like it is so consuming in
- 23:24Speaker 1: terms of time and energy and a lot of negativity,
- 23:28Speaker 1: and so I don't spend as much time as I
- 23:31Speaker 1: use to. I mean, I like you if there's if
- 23:34Speaker 1: there's authenticity when it comes to posting um, you know,
- 23:38Speaker 1: doing campaigns with companies and helping them get the word
- 23:42Speaker 1: out about their companies. I'm all for it, but it
- 23:46Speaker 1: can't just be a paycheck for me. Like I remember Blakesley, Um,
- 23:50Speaker 1: maybe she didn't say it, but it was kind of
- 23:53Speaker 1: uh insinuated that she'd want to be an influencer, and
- 23:56Speaker 1: I was like, no, no, no no if that hit
- 24:00Speaker 1: me too when I caught Addison recording videos of herself
- 24:03Speaker 1: on the iPad, going hey guys, nope, nope, no, no,
- 24:09Speaker 1: this will not be a goal like if you. I
- 24:12Speaker 1: feel like both of us landed in it. You know,
- 24:16Speaker 1: it wasn't around when we were on the Bachelorette, and
- 24:20Speaker 1: so it wasn't like we're um like Caitlin or Hannah
- 24:25Speaker 1: or it's like two million people from that yes, yes, isn't.
- 24:30Speaker 1: I think Twitter launched the day that my season of
- 24:35Speaker 1: the Bachelorette was done. Er really, I mean, like I
- 24:38Speaker 1: didn't have to leave that era. And I always think,
- 24:41Speaker 1: I'm sure you can sympathize with this with some of
- 24:43Speaker 1: the newer women who go on the show. Yeah, we didn't.
- 24:47Speaker 1: I wasn't followed by paparazzi. I didn't feel this innate
- 24:50Speaker 1: pressure to physically be a certain size or a certain
- 24:55Speaker 1: shift or a certain hair color. Like I didn't feel
- 24:57Speaker 1: that because there were there paparazzi hiding in Noon and Georgia.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Like I went back to my home. My pass were
- 25:04Speaker 1: never to go on a show and become a famous person.
- 25:06Speaker 1: That was not totally stupid as it sounds. And I
- 25:09Speaker 1: say this over and over again every time I talked
- 25:10Speaker 1: to somebody or in every interview. I went on the
- 25:13Speaker 1: show for the right reasons, right, genuinely fine love. I
- 25:17Speaker 1: gotta say, stupid as it sounds, it's not stupid. Well,
- 25:21Speaker 1: some people look at that like it's stupid because the
- 25:23Speaker 1: girls are making lots of money now, like lots of things.
- 25:25Speaker 1: And I didn't ask for any of those things because
- 25:28Speaker 1: it wasn't a thing back then. It wasn't a thing.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I will say though. We did have paparazzi following us,
- 25:46Speaker 1: and I had people knocking on our door. People found
- 25:49Speaker 1: our house, and I remember a mother and a daughter
- 25:54Speaker 1: they showed up at my door with a magazine like
- 25:57Speaker 1: wanted to get Yeah. It was like, wait, how did
- 26:00Speaker 1: you know? I was like, how did you find my address?
- 26:03Speaker 1: Um immediately called the phone company take my number off,
- 26:06Speaker 1: Like not that we've we had already done that, but
- 26:09Speaker 1: it's just it's just and especially now with children too,
- 26:12Speaker 1: it is a source of protection. I tried to be
- 26:16Speaker 1: live a very normal life and you know you feel
- 26:19Speaker 1: the same, trusta It's always it's always very flattering when
- 26:25Speaker 1: someone still recognizes you from this, It is flattering. I
- 26:28Speaker 1: am always very happy when people see me in the
- 26:31Speaker 1: grocery store, yes, no makeup, looking like a hot mess,
- 26:34Speaker 1: and are not afraid to come up and say hello.
- 26:35Speaker 1: I totally that say, oh my gosh, I enjoyed watching
- 26:40Speaker 1: your season. I like following you on social media. It's
- 26:43Speaker 1: so nice to meet you, Like I will absolutely hug you,
- 26:45Speaker 1: say it's nice to meet you too. Um, totally. It
- 26:49Speaker 1: kind of throws me through a loop when I'm seeing
- 26:54Speaker 1: like at school or something at school pick up and
- 26:57Speaker 1: to my kids, yeah no, I Dia. Addison's just now
- 27:01Speaker 1: at the age where she's like, somebody told me you
- 27:02Speaker 1: were on TV, you know, Like, but they don't they
- 27:04Speaker 1: don't know you haven't told him, well they know that.
- 27:08Speaker 1: I mean, Austin could care less, Like he's literally playing
- 27:11Speaker 1: the same as Max right now. Yeah, he does not care.
- 27:14Speaker 1: They recognized certain things like when we've had film crews
- 27:17Speaker 1: at the house to film it's watch it. The only
- 27:20Speaker 1: thing that happened was when Netflix released it was The
- 27:24Speaker 1: Bachelor and Bachelor, but they re leased a couple of
- 27:26Speaker 1: seasons and someone told me about it, and it was
- 27:28Speaker 1: like there was a like a screen cap above the
- 27:31Speaker 1: season of me kissing Jason Mesnick and Addison. Who's that man?
- 27:36Speaker 1: And why are you kissing him? Not my daddy? And
- 27:38Speaker 1: I was like, this is how do I explained that? Oh?
- 27:41Speaker 1: My gosh right, you know, so I just I do
- 27:43Speaker 1: if she asked, and I don't. Like. Like, she got
- 27:47Speaker 1: in the car a couple of weeks ago from school
- 27:49Speaker 1: and she goes, Mommy, why don't you tell me you
- 27:51Speaker 1: were famous? And I was like started laughing. First off,
- 27:54Speaker 1: Christmas because you know me and you know me. I
- 27:56Speaker 1: was like, first off, I am not famous, I'm not us.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Second off, why are you asking that? She goes, oh,
- 28:04Speaker 1: well someone told me at school and I was like, well,
- 28:06Speaker 1: who that's that's strange, And she was like, I don't know.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Somebody told me at school that their mommy saw you
- 28:13Speaker 1: saw her at school and their mommy told me that
- 28:15Speaker 1: she was on TV and you guys are famous, and
- 28:17Speaker 1: I was like, oh my god, oh my god. Like,
- 28:21Speaker 1: so there's a couple of I may feel a little
- 28:24Speaker 1: guarded then, you know, because there is a piece of
- 28:29Speaker 1: and I'm sure you can relate to this, there's a
- 28:30Speaker 1: piece of going on the show where people think they
- 28:33Speaker 1: know who you are, really know who you are? Do
- 28:36Speaker 1: you know what they of me? Television show that millions
- 28:41Speaker 1: of people watched, but it doesn't mean that they truly
- 28:44Speaker 1: know me. So I've actually found, like in my adult life,
- 28:48Speaker 1: that I tend to be pretty guarded. If someone comes
- 28:51Speaker 1: out of the gate and says, oh my gosh, I
- 28:53Speaker 1: saw you on the Bachelor and I totally watched your season,
- 28:55Speaker 1: I immediately become guarded. I feel like a I can't
- 28:59Speaker 1: be vulnerable, yeah right, I can't be who I truly
- 29:03Speaker 1: am because these people have this preconceived notion of who
- 29:05Speaker 1: they think I am. Yeah right. And there's social media,
- 29:09Speaker 1: so if they take a picture or if they take
- 29:11Speaker 1: a video and you have resting bitch base and you're
- 29:14Speaker 1: not smiling, you're a raging bitch and exactly like to
- 29:20Speaker 1: each their own again, take me happy, Like I'm just
- 29:23Speaker 1: trying to please me. So so that's that. And then
- 29:26Speaker 1: this is a quick funny story. Well I started on
- 29:29Speaker 1: this tangent because you had texted me and asked if
- 29:31Speaker 1: I was watching Bachelor in Paradise, and like, this is
- 29:34Speaker 1: why I'm not because I have no free time. I
- 29:36Speaker 1: would like to watch Paradise. I do really enjoy it.
- 29:39Speaker 1: I have not been able to watch this season at
- 29:41Speaker 1: all because I just don't have a lot of free time.
- 29:43Speaker 1: And I go to bed at the clock when I
- 29:44Speaker 1: put my kids to bed. So there's but good for you. Yeah,
- 29:48Speaker 1: I like a solid twelve hours night. Yes, amazing. There
- 29:53Speaker 1: was a situation that happened a couple of weeks ago
- 29:55Speaker 1: where we have a cleaning lady. She comes every two
- 29:57Speaker 1: weeks and it's been one thing that Stephen and I
- 29:59Speaker 1: don't ever fight about is keeping house clean. So I
- 30:02Speaker 1: will will pay for it. Like I work full time too,
- 30:07Speaker 1: I don't have time right to clean the house. It
- 30:09Speaker 1: is money well spent to me. She's been with us
- 30:13Speaker 1: and cleaning her home for several years, like five years
- 30:15Speaker 1: or something like that. And I didn't know that you
- 30:18Speaker 1: could change your venmo to be private so that people
- 30:21Speaker 1: can't see you know, your pay history or whatever. Oh yes, right,
- 30:26Speaker 1: so I didn't know that it's changed now, but so
- 30:29Speaker 1: I sent her a venmo to pay her one time
- 30:31Speaker 1: for cleaning my home. And then like two weeks later
- 30:34Speaker 1: she was over and she was they were kind of laughing,
- 30:36Speaker 1: her and another girl, and I was like, what are
- 30:37Speaker 1: you laughing at? And they were like, well, we found
- 30:39Speaker 1: out you were on TV. And I was like, that's
- 30:41Speaker 1: so weird. How and she goes, well, another woman's house
- 30:43Speaker 1: that I clean. I saw your house and I was like,
- 30:47Speaker 1: oh god, how would she know that? And she was
- 30:49Speaker 1: like I don't know, but she asked me if I
- 30:51Speaker 1: cleaned your house, and then she was asking me things
- 30:53Speaker 1: like do you have a nice house? Are you? And
- 30:55Speaker 1: oh my god, it was like yikes, wrong, wrong, wrong.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I was like, well right, and she was like no.
- 31:01Speaker 1: I just told her that your guys are great and
- 31:03Speaker 1: your kids are great, like you're really nice people. But
- 31:05Speaker 1: like this woman said, will you give her my number
- 31:07Speaker 1: so that we can hang out? And he likes like really,
- 31:11Speaker 1: oh my, that is bold, like kind of over the
- 31:15Speaker 1: not not even kind of over the line. Bold. Yeah.
- 31:19Speaker 1: I literally was like, no, please, don't give out my
- 31:21Speaker 1: phone number? Oh yeah, or you will be fired. Yeah. Anyway,
- 31:26Speaker 1: she was really nice about it. You know, this woman
- 31:29Speaker 1: is really nice to you know. Blah blah blah. She
- 31:30Speaker 1: just of the show that you were on, and I
- 31:33Speaker 1: was like, yeah, I totally totally get that. I understand that.
- 31:36Speaker 1: I get that. Yeah, yeah, there's just you know, then
- 31:38Speaker 1: I go into that place where I'm immediately guarded, you know, yes, yes, Okay,
- 31:43Speaker 1: well now I can't be me. I can't be who
- 31:45Speaker 1: I truly ain't right, So were you thinking of um
- 31:49Speaker 1: hiring someone else? Isn't that like, because I can imagine that. Okay, good,
- 31:54Speaker 1: and she does such a great job and I trust her. Yeah,
- 31:58Speaker 1: please don't tell people where it so one like on venmo.
- 32:02Speaker 1: That's how she found out that that she cleaned our
- 32:05Speaker 1: crazy It was public on NMO that I had. Yes, yes,
- 32:09Speaker 1: I guess she went to venmo her and then she
- 32:11Speaker 1: saw on the paid history that like I have recently
- 32:13Speaker 1: been mode her. It's weird, you know her. Okay, I
- 32:17Speaker 1: am doing that, like immediately after I get off the
- 32:19Speaker 1: phone and I'm making it private. It was like, oh
- 32:21Speaker 1: my god, let's change your venmodor private right now so
- 32:23Speaker 1: people can't see those things. Yeah. Yeah, there's no reason
- 32:26Speaker 1: that anyone needs to know that I'm paying my daughter's
- 32:29Speaker 1: friend's mom for snacks. Like, um, okay, I know you're
- 32:35Speaker 1: not doing the the podcast anymore, but or you're kind
- 32:40Speaker 1: of on a little break, but I'd love to hear.
- 32:43Speaker 1: I know, you guys basically just shared everything like there
- 32:46Speaker 1: was lots of laughter. Is there one story that stands
- 32:49Speaker 1: out that you can share with us from from the podcast?
- 32:53Speaker 1: It's called Flashbacks People. By the way, if you want
- 32:55Speaker 1: to go back and listen a lot of fun, I would,
- 32:57Speaker 1: I will tell you that, Like I like that it
- 32:59Speaker 1: is a really lighthearted show. We the whole address. I
- 33:03Speaker 1: am definitely more of a serious person than Jessica. Like
- 33:06Speaker 1: she's um, she's just a lot of fun. Like she
- 33:10Speaker 1: likes to hear like old fun stories. She wants to
- 33:12Speaker 1: hear your drunken stories. She wants to hear when you
- 33:14Speaker 1: fell down at a club, like she wants to hear
- 33:15Speaker 1: those things. Yes, I do like to have fun and
- 33:19Speaker 1: I am a funny person, but I just am more
- 33:22Speaker 1: I just like genuinely want to be who I am.
- 33:25Speaker 1: So if I go in and I'm in that mood
- 33:27Speaker 1: or whatever, then I feel like that's okay to talk about.
- 33:29Speaker 1: And I also think that people appreciate about me that
- 33:33Speaker 1: I yeah, I'm not fake in any way, shape or form.
- 33:36Speaker 1: So totally I'm trying to think because we've had a
- 33:39Speaker 1: lot of really fun guests on and we've heard a
- 33:42Speaker 1: lot of really fun stories that there was early on
- 33:45Speaker 1: there was this woman named jesse I think her name was,
- 33:49Speaker 1: and Jessica knew her from the Playboy Mansion. They had
- 33:51Speaker 1: I think posed years ago or something like that. That's
- 33:54Speaker 1: how I need chased each other. But we got to
- 33:56Speaker 1: laughing because she told us a story about how, for
- 33:59Speaker 1: some reason, everybody always had a Leonardo DiCaprio story. So
- 34:02Speaker 1: like this girl in particular, she waits until the very
- 34:04Speaker 1: end of the podcast, and the podcast was a bit
- 34:07Speaker 1: serious at the time, and we talked about her health.
- 34:09Speaker 1: She had just some health stuff going on, and then Marian,
- 34:11Speaker 1: We're like, okay, well tell us like your favorite flashback.
- 34:14Speaker 1: We do that like towards the end, like do you
- 34:15Speaker 1: have a back? So hers we said, do you have
- 34:17Speaker 1: a favorite Hollywood flashback of like your time in l
- 34:20Speaker 1: A And she was like, oh, yeah, I went to
- 34:22Speaker 1: this club one time and then I slept with you know,
- 34:24Speaker 1: DiCaprio and I'm pretty sure he might be my son's father.
- 34:26Speaker 1: And we were like, I'm sorry, you just went this
- 34:31Speaker 1: whole hour on this podcast without telling us that you
- 34:34Speaker 1: slept with Leonardo DiCaprio, which you think his crime. You
- 34:39Speaker 1: know what I mean. It was about twenty years ago,
- 34:42Speaker 1: and now I have a son who looks oddly a
- 34:45Speaker 1: lot like Leonardo DiCaprio. Did you ever follow up with
- 34:48Speaker 1: her or did Jessica ever talk to her afterwards and
- 34:50Speaker 1: see if she did a fraternity No? No, I think
- 34:54Speaker 1: she was like quasi joking, but she's one of those
- 34:55Speaker 1: people like you can't tell if she's joking or not.
- 34:59Speaker 1: She was like she's like six foot and she's like
- 35:01Speaker 1: blond and beautiful and does yoga yes body. But I
- 35:05Speaker 1: start following her on social media and she'll post pictures
- 35:07Speaker 1: of her son and I'm literally like, oh my god,
- 35:09Speaker 1: he he could be Leonardo to cap your son like
- 35:12Speaker 1: he's and he's about that age where like this could
- 35:14Speaker 1: have happened around the same time. So anyway, we got
- 35:17Speaker 1: to laughing so hard because it seemed like every time
- 35:19Speaker 1: we had a guest on, someone had a story of
- 35:22Speaker 1: Leonardo DiCaprio. Had a story of Leo and so like
- 35:26Speaker 1: we could just got to the point where we started laughing.
- 35:28Speaker 1: We were like Leo, we would just like die it.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Do you have a good slashback Trista from Hollow when
- 35:35Speaker 1: you must have someone? I was literally just going to
- 35:37Speaker 1: ask you the same question. I'm like, well, wait, okay,
- 35:40Speaker 1: tell me this woman was talking about Leo. I want
- 35:43Speaker 1: to know if you've ever run in like you live
- 35:45Speaker 1: in l A. So I want to know if you
- 35:47Speaker 1: ever run into any famous people or if you ever
- 35:50Speaker 1: run into bachelor people. I don't run into bachelor people
- 35:54Speaker 1: a lot. You don't live I don't live like in Hollywood.
- 35:57Speaker 1: I know, I know, but still, or even when you're traveling,
- 36:01Speaker 1: like I knew you were just in New York, Like
- 36:03Speaker 1: did you see anyone there? You know what I mean?
- 36:05Speaker 1: You did the first night there, my pilots and I
- 36:08Speaker 1: were going to dinner. We went to this really yoummy
- 36:10Speaker 1: Italian restaurant. Next time you're in the city, I'll have
- 36:12Speaker 1: to let you know Hotel met All. I had lamb
- 36:14Speaker 1: bolonaise that I like to eat, and I was literally
- 36:16Speaker 1: like it was the best thing I've ever had. And
- 36:21Speaker 1: I was like, this is life changing. This is like
- 36:24Speaker 1: we were walking and it was really cold and sure enough,
- 36:29Speaker 1: and you know, it was funny because people will say
- 36:31Speaker 1: this to me too, like, oh, I didn't see you
- 36:33Speaker 1: at first, but I could recognize your voice. I knew,
- 36:35Speaker 1: I knew your voice. Yes, you were walking down um
- 36:39Speaker 1: and we were in the Financial District and we were
- 36:40Speaker 1: walking down to the restaurant. And then sure enough I
- 36:42Speaker 1: heard her say thanks guys, and I turned and looked
- 36:45Speaker 1: and it was Ellen pump Pumpei Pompey Pompeio from Gray Yes,
- 36:52Speaker 1: just announced that she was leaving great as soon as
- 36:55Speaker 1: I saw I turned and looked, and I was like,
- 36:56Speaker 1: and she was like just getting out of her car
- 36:57Speaker 1: and walking into a hotel. She was like, thanks, guys,
- 36:59Speaker 1: like totally normal, total no one around, no one, Yes, right,
- 37:03Speaker 1: I love christ. I didn't say anything. You didn't say anything,
- 37:07Speaker 1: You didn't say no, no, no, Yeah, but I saw her.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Sometimes when I fly, you know, it's because well, we're
- 37:16Speaker 1: not allowed to say anything, so I'm not. But I
- 37:18Speaker 1: flowned some really big celebrities and I don't get star
- 37:21Speaker 1: struck a lot. I don't know if it's just because
- 37:24Speaker 1: the industry that we're in and you know l A
- 37:26Speaker 1: all the time, you know what I mean. Yeah, So
- 37:29Speaker 1: I'm not one of those people to get star struck.
- 37:31Speaker 1: But I saw jay Z one time. Uh huh. It
- 37:35Speaker 1: was like that would be big smokes, It's jay Z, right,
- 37:39Speaker 1: And then in my head in time as he standing there,
- 37:41Speaker 1: I kept going, I was like singing his song in
- 37:46Speaker 1: my head and I couldn't. I couldn't, like I could
- 37:49Speaker 1: not even like carry on a conversation. Was like, oh
- 37:51Speaker 1: my gosh, okay, you just reminded me of a really
- 37:54Speaker 1: fun flashback that I do have. Okay, So I was
- 37:56Speaker 1: dancing for the Miami Heat and um, huge basketball fan,
- 38:01Speaker 1: huge Michael Jordan fan, like huge Michael Jordan fan, and
- 38:06Speaker 1: I was sitting. So at that point in time, we
- 38:08Speaker 1: sat on the court. Now they don't sit on the
- 38:11Speaker 1: court anymore, probably because we got stepped on so many times,
- 38:13Speaker 1: but yes, exactly, UM with really big feet. So we
- 38:21Speaker 1: were on the court and we were you know what
- 38:25Speaker 1: they say, they have big so sitting across from the
- 38:37Speaker 1: opposing team, not the Heat, but the opposing team, and
- 38:40Speaker 1: they happened to be the I think the Washington Wizards
- 38:43Speaker 1: is who he was playing for at the time. It
- 38:44Speaker 1: was Michael Jordan's. So Michael Jordan was sitting right across
- 38:48Speaker 1: from me, like right across from me, and I realized
- 38:51Speaker 1: that I was staring at him. Well, he turns and
- 38:54Speaker 1: we lock eyes right and you just reminded me that
- 38:59Speaker 1: when you started singing New York with jay Z like around,
- 39:04Speaker 1: this is similar to what I did. So we lock
- 39:07Speaker 1: eyes and we are staring at each other. And it
- 39:09Speaker 1: probably wasn't for that long, but you know, when you're
- 39:11Speaker 1: in an in an eye lock, it seems like forever,
- 39:15Speaker 1: like it seems like I couldn't look away. I was like, um,
- 39:22Speaker 1: Michael Jordan's is staring at me, like I literally can't
- 39:25Speaker 1: look away. And after we were staring at each other
- 39:28Speaker 1: for I would say a good like maybe like ten seconds,
- 39:32Speaker 1: which is a long time, A long time to right
- 39:34Speaker 1: one another. I and maybe it was less because I
- 39:38Speaker 1: felt like it was longer, but I said I worded
- 39:42Speaker 1: or I mouthed the words Michael Jordan's like, well, it's
- 39:52Speaker 1: like you say, singing New York, New York like with
- 39:55Speaker 1: jay Z, Like okay, yeah, that's my song. So you know,
- 39:59Speaker 1: like I'm STI ring at Michael Jordan's and I don't
- 40:02Speaker 1: say call me or meet me after, I love you,
- 40:12Speaker 1: or I say his freaking name, and he was scaring
- 40:15Speaker 1: locked eyes, and you go, Michael Jordan, stupid. It's so stupid.
- 40:21Speaker 1: I mean, your life could have changed. I was literally
- 40:25Speaker 1: just gonna say that. Oh my gosh, it was so right,
- 40:28Speaker 1: Like had I met like if I said meet me after,
- 40:35Speaker 1: maybe you would have met me after, and maybe we
- 40:38Speaker 1: would have gotten into this love affair. Probably not, but um,
- 40:42Speaker 1: but you know, it totally could have changed the trajectory
- 40:45Speaker 1: of my life. But that's my fun flashback five too.
- 40:51Speaker 1: And now we're tally it would be what's that movie
- 40:53Speaker 1: with Danny and the other guys really tall, like giants
- 40:58Speaker 1: or something or brothers? What was it? Something like that.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, it's so funny. I'm going on. Michael
- 41:05Speaker 1: Keaton one time you did pretty early on, like right
- 41:10Speaker 1: after the Bachelorette. He was like, let me take you out,
- 41:13Speaker 1: and I was like, I'm engaged, like Steve, You're like hello,
- 41:16Speaker 1: yeah yeah, and he literally was like you could wear
- 41:20Speaker 1: it or not, but let me take Oh Michael Keaton
- 41:25Speaker 1: right now, but flatter Thank you sir, Yeah, thank you
- 41:27Speaker 1: so much, Thank you so much. All right. Well, I
- 41:31Speaker 1: love talking to you. We could just we could talk
- 41:33Speaker 1: all day. Um, I miss you, and happy birthday, and
- 41:39Speaker 1: give the kids a big hug for me. I am
- 41:42Speaker 1: so thankful that you joined us and Bob oh. I
- 41:44Speaker 1: do have to say Bob was very sad harassing me
- 41:48Speaker 1: and he's not even here today. I know he's traveling,
- 41:51Speaker 1: and he wrote, um, like he texted our group text
- 41:55Speaker 1: with the producers and stuff that he was going to
- 41:57Speaker 1: be in a car probably getting out at the time
- 42:00Speaker 1: that we were doing it, and he just didn't want
- 42:02Speaker 1: to interrupt the interview. So um, he sends his love
- 42:05Speaker 1: and he wishes he was here. I wish he was
- 42:09Speaker 1: here too, But we had lots of fun chatting. So um,
- 42:12Speaker 1: we miss you Bob. Next time. UM, I'm Mr Guinea.
- 42:15Speaker 1: That's right, Thank you, sister. I hope you have a
- 42:18Speaker 1: great time on your trip. Thank you. I wish you
- 42:21Speaker 1: be wonderful. You're doing great. Fifty no, fifty, sorry that
- 42:26Speaker 1: it's all good. Yes, yes, it's all good. This is
- 42:29Speaker 1: what happens is great. Forty one is great. Forty one
- 42:35Speaker 1: is great. That's forty one is great. Um you two
- 42:38Speaker 1: right back at you. I love you. Thank you. Okay
- 42:41Speaker 1: bye
