- 0:09Anthony Richardson is out of the doghouse the sixth time, sixth time.
- 0:15Oh, you thought I wasn't going to forget.
- 0:17Six times, six times, six times, six times.
- 0:22Pittsburgh Steelers get a win in the DMV.
- 0:27Arizona Cardinals dominate the Jets.
- 0:29The Lions escape with the dub.
- 0:31The Panthers continue to stack wins and we got football tonight, folks.
- 0:36That's right.
- 0:37Commanders versus Eagles.
- 0:38Okay.
- 0:39All of this and more on the 48th episode of the Football Junkies podcast.
- 0:44Okay.
- 0:45I am your host with the most.
- 0:46Your chief Bagrodamus.
- 0:48Okay.
- 0:49Your chief head of the table meteorologist for all predictions moving forward in the
- 0:55next three to six years.
- 0:57Okay.
- 0:58And most importantly, I am your GM who is not on a team right now, but don't you worry
- 1:03about it.
- 1:04Okay.
- 1:05I'm all of these things and more, but most importantly, I'm your host, Kale.
- 1:09You already know what I'm giving my say.
- 1:11So on three, one, two, three, let's lock in.
- 1:29All right, folks, let's get into the meat and potatoes of everything that is going
- 1:41on the league right now.
- 1:43So we always start off with the baggler.
- 1:45So let's just get into it.
- 1:47Okay.
- 1:48So the Amador Lenore corner for the 49ers inked a five year, $92 million deal who will
- 1:53be making 18.4 million a year.
- 1:57Okay.
- 1:58Now, when you look at his stats from last year, 86 tackles, three picks and only allowed
- 2:02one touchdown.
- 2:03And when we look at this here, the Amador Lenore is a slot corner who, you know, is
- 2:09a gambler.
- 2:10Sometimes he'll make the big play and sometimes he'll miss on the big play, but all in all,
- 2:15he is a solid corner.
- 2:16Now coming into the season, you know, he was looking for a new deal and, you know, with
- 2:23all the, the big media hype about, you know, Trent Williams and brand new, his sort of
- 2:28slipped under the radar simply because he didn't want to make it into, you know, a big
- 2:32production and all in all, it paid off and he got paid.
- 2:36Now, when we look at this, you know, slot corners are becoming more important to a lot
- 2:42of defenses, not only because it adds a blitzing option with it because you can, you know,
- 2:49you can blitz them and whatnot, but we are seeing now that a lot of times you have these
- 2:55really good slot corners who can hold their own with some of the best receivers when they
- 3:00are lined up in the slot.
- 3:02And so all in all, it's a great situation.
- 3:05Now I haven't really seen the, the inner workings of the deal.
- 3:10So I don't really know exactly how they structure the deal, but all in all, it shouldn't be something
- 3:17that's going to be, you know, a big pressing issue moving forward.
- 3:21Now the only question that I do have though, what are they going to do with Charverius
- 3:25Ward moving forward?
- 3:27Because he is supposed to be a free agent after this season.
- 3:30So 49ers, yes, they take care of their players.
- 3:34But you know, after this season, they have a lot of major decisions that they are going
- 3:38to have to make moving forward.
- 3:40But let's get into some other things.
- 3:42Okay.
- 3:43So Anthony Richardson is once again the starting quarterback for the Colts after two games
- 3:49with Joe Flacco, they have finally decided to make the decision to give Anthony Richardson
- 3:54another chance.
- 3:56And you know, quite frankly, it was very much needed.
- 3:59Okay, because when we look at these stats in the two games that Joe Flacco started, right,
- 4:04their matchup against the Vikings in which they lost Joe Flacco was 16 for 27179 passing
- 4:11yards, one pick 6.6 yards per attempt in a 59.3 completion percentage.
- 4:16Okay.
- 4:17Now, when they went, when they went up against the bills, 26 for 35, excuse me, 272 passing
- 4:23yards, two touchdowns, three interceptions, 7.8 yards per attempt in a 74.3 completion
- 4:30percentage.
- 4:31Now, when we look at this, you know, yes, it did, it did cause a lot of, you know, controversy,
- 4:37you know, throughout the media and probably within the locker room, but the Colts basically
- 4:41put Anthony Richardson on ice for two games.
- 4:45And you know, within that stretch, they lost both of those games.
- 4:49And you know, they probably realized like, Hey, Anthony Richardson is probably going
- 4:53to be our best bet of winning because let's be real here, folks, the Colts are not out
- 4:58of, you know, going to the playoffs.
- 5:01They're not.
- 5:02They're right there.
- 5:03All they have to do is just get on a hot streak and start winning games.
- 5:08That's all they have to do because as of right now, division is open.
- 5:13Okay.
- 5:14It's open for anybody.
- 5:16It's not, you know, this team has the division, you know, on lock or, you know, it's between
- 5:21these two teams.
- 5:22No, the vision is for anybody at this point.
- 5:26And so as of right now, if the Colts want to, you know, make somewhat of a playoff run,
- 5:32they have to start winning games.
- 5:34And thus they realized that, guess what?
- 5:36Anthony Richardson is their best chance of making that happen.
- 5:40So let's just wait and see what happens with that.
- 5:43Now let's get into this Steelers and commanders game because you know why there were some
- 5:49people that were saying, oh, the commanders are going to beat the Steelers.
- 5:53The Steelers are finally going to run into some problems.
- 5:55Where are they now?
- 5:57Where are they now?
- 5:58Commanders fans, how are we feeling?
- 6:00How are we feeling today?
- 6:01We feeling a little bit salty?
- 6:03Taking that L doesn't feel good, does it?
- 6:06It's okay.
- 6:08It's a okay.
- 6:10Let's get into this game, folks.
- 6:12So Danger Russ was 14 for 2,895 passing yards, three touchdowns, one pick, seven yards per
- 6:18attempt and a 50% completion percentage.
- 6:22Okay?
- 6:23Jaylen Warren, 14 attempts for 66 rushing yards, 4.7 rushing yards per carry and two
- 6:28rushes of 10 plus yards or more.
- 6:30George Pickens, seven targets for five receptions, 91 receiving yards, one touchdown and 18.2
- 6:36receiving yards per reception.
- 6:38Jayden Daniels, 17 for 34, 202 passing yards, 5.9 yards per attempt and a 50% completion
- 6:45percentage.
- 6:46Austin Eckler, 13 attempts for 44 rushing yards, 3.4 rushing yards per carry, two touchdowns
- 6:52and one rush of 10 plus yards or more.
- 6:54Terry McCloryn, six targets for five receptions, 113 receiving yards and 22.6 receiving yards
- 7:02per reception.
- 7:03Now let's just get into this, okay?
- 7:06Because this game could have easily went into a whole different direction, okay?
- 7:12Because leading into the fourth quarter, the commanders had a 10 point lead and it was
- 7:17starting to look like, you know, the commanders were gonna, we're getting ready to just end
- 7:22the game.
- 7:23And then somehow the Steelers do Steelers things.
- 7:26You have Cameron Hayward that gets a sack.
- 7:29You have this person that makes a necessary tackle and then boom, we're back into the
- 7:33game.
- 7:34And, you know, this was definitely a great game.
- 7:37This was a back and forth game for all four quarters, okay?
- 7:41The Steelers were fighting just as much as the commanders were fighting, okay?
- 7:46Dante Fowler Jr. for the commanders was doing his thing.
- 7:50He was creating pressure, making big plays, making big stops.
- 7:55He was doing it all.
- 7:56And that's exactly what the commanders needed.
- 7:59Not to mention, you have Frankie Louvue that was making plays.
- 8:02You had Jeremy Chin that was making plays.
- 8:05So all in all, this was a really good game.
- 8:07This wasn't, you know, necessarily a slaughter or anything that anybody would have predicted.
- 8:14This was a great game from start to finish.
- 8:17The only problem that I had with this game was the rest were being very ticky tacky when
- 8:23it came to the pass interference calls.
- 8:25Like, you're just gonna just have to let the game just play out.
- 8:29Now, if it's an egregious pass interference, you know, hold, then you know, then you have
- 8:36to do what you have to do.
- 8:38But if it's something very subtle and they let go, you know, quickly before they even
- 8:43get the ball, let it play.
- 8:45Let it play.
- 8:46But at the same time, the Steelers secondary was getting beat up.
- 8:51Dante Jackson was not having a good game, nor was Joey Porter Jr.
- 8:55Terry McCloury was doing his thing.
- 8:58And I get it.
- 8:59Joey is, you know, a hands on type of corner, a physical corner, somebody that likes to put
- 9:05his hands on the receivers.
- 9:07I get all that.
- 9:08But there is a time and place when you do that because guess what?
- 9:12They were calling it almost every single time, every single time.
- 9:16Whop, flag, whop, flag, flag.
- 9:20Pass interference, pass interference.
- 9:21Like at some point, bro, you just, you shouldn't have to use your hands a whole lot to, you
- 9:28know, to do this.
- 9:29You shouldn't have to.
- 9:30You're one of the biggest corners on the field.
- 9:33All you got to do is just use your body and position yourself to be able to either, you
- 9:38know, deflect the pass or try to get a pick.
- 9:41That's all you have to do.
- 9:42You don't have to do anything else.
- 9:44But you know, again, the Steelers upfront was doing their thing.
- 9:48Keanu Benson was making, you know, crucial plays as well as Cameron Hayward.
- 9:53And you know, this is what I will say.
- 9:54I will be one of the first to say it publicly.
- 9:57I was wrong.
- 9:59I was wrong.
- 10:00I was definitely a person who was definitely on the fence about giving Cam another, you
- 10:06know, another deal because, you know, the Steelers are at a point where, you know, they're close
- 10:12to, you know, hitting that threshold where their Super Bowl window is open.
- 10:16And we see a lot of times where when you do play, not play, but when you do pay the veteran,
- 10:24you know, player on a team a whole lot of money, a lot of times that contract does not,
- 10:29you know, age well.
- 10:31But so far, Cam has been doing his thing.
- 10:34He continues to show why he is still a top 10 run defender and a top 10 detackle in the
- 10:42league.
- 10:43And you know, again, this defense has been doing their thing.
- 10:47They've been beating up teams.
- 10:49Jaden Daniels wasn't running, you know, out of the pocket a whole lot.
- 10:53They made sure that they were going to try to contain him as much as possible.
- 10:58And it worked.
- 10:59It worked like a charm.
- 11:01Now when we move over to the Steelers offense, they were starting to, you know, get some
- 11:07motion.
- 11:08George Pickens was making miraculous plays.
- 11:10Pat Fryer move was, was making plays.
- 11:13Everybody was making plays, but then they're starting to hit a point where Najee was starting
- 11:17to be a little bit stagnant in the run in the commander's word, you know, where it was stopping
- 11:21it.
- 11:22And so guess what the Steelers do?
- 11:24Get Jalen Warren, put him in.
- 11:26Bam, first down, big play, big play, big play, big play.
- 11:31So all in all, it was a back and forth game.
- 11:33It really was.
- 11:35And you know, this is what I will say for all the commander's fans that are probably
- 11:39upset about their, their rookie detackle, you know, going off sides.
- 11:44He's a rookie.
- 11:45He's a rookie.
- 11:46He's going to make these types of mistakes.
- 11:48That's what happens.
- 11:49No one, all of those other guys, they know what to do in this situation.
- 11:55He didn't.
- 11:57And it's a simple, simple mistake.
- 11:59Yes, it did cost them the game, but you can't just, you know, you can't just throw money
- 12:04with a bus.
- 12:05You just can't.
- 12:06And, you know, for the Steelers to be, to be as aggressive as they have been, especially
- 12:11on fourth down, which James Pierre, you should have caught the ball.
- 12:15You definitely should have.
- 12:16If you would have caught the ball, you probably would have had a first down and more, possibly
- 12:21almost a touchdown because there wasn't anybody near you for at least 10 to 15 yards.
- 12:25But you know, you're starting to see a Steelers team that is going to be a thorn in people's
- 12:32sides moving forward because as of right now, the AFC teams that you really have to worry
- 12:37about are of course the Chiefs, the Ravens, the Bills and now the Steelers.
- 12:43I truly believe that I think if the Steelers continue to win and if they went on Sunday,
- 12:49which that has to be a whole episode in itself, they can position themselves to be seated fairly
- 12:55high so that, you know, whoever they go up against, it's not necessarily going to be
- 13:01a slaughter, but you, you have a better matchup compared to, you know, you're seating low
- 13:08and you're going to have to go up against the Chiefs or going to have to go up against
- 13:12the Bills again or whomever.
- 13:14Now you have Russell Wilson, who has been able to unlock the deep pass game, which,
- 13:19you know, the Steelers have been trying to do for a while now.
- 13:23They try to do it with Kenny Pickett.
- 13:24That didn't work.
- 13:25They try to do it with Justin Fields.
- 13:27That didn't work either.
- 13:28And Russ has been able to do it successfully and it's worked.
- 13:32It paid off substantially.
- 13:33That play with Mike Williams, they didn't even practice it.
- 13:37So all in all, it worked.
- 13:39I don't know what Russ is doing, but continue to do it.
- 13:43This run game looks great.
- 13:45The offensive line, they're blocking well.
- 13:49This team is going to continue to stack wins.
- 13:51Now I'm not saying that, you know, the second half of the season, they're going to go undefeated.
- 13:55No, I do not believe that.
- 13:58Not one bit.
- 13:59But if they do win at least two or three of their division rival games, we're going to
- 14:03have to have a different conversation.
- 14:05Now moving on to the Cardinals in Jets game.
- 14:09Yes, that Jets team, we're just going to leave it there.
- 14:13Tyler Murray was 22 for 24, 266 passing yards, one touchdown, 11.1 yards per attempt and
- 14:20a 91.7 completion percentage.
- 14:22Okay.
- 14:23Trey Benson, 10 attempts for 62 rushing yards, 6.2 rushing yards per carry and three rushes
- 14:29of 10 plus yards or more.
- 14:31Trey McBride, five targets for four receptions, 71 receiving yards and 17.8 receiving yards
- 14:37per reception.
- 14:38Aaron Rogers, 22 for 35, 151 passing yards, 4.3 yards per attempt and a 62.9 completion
- 14:45percentage.
- 14:46Breece Hall, 10 attempts for 52 rushing yards, 5.2 rushing yards per carry and one rush of
- 14:5210 plus yards or more.
- 14:54Garrett Wilson, six targets for five receptions, 41 receiving yards and 8.2 receiving yards
- 14:59per reception.
- 15:00Now this is what I will say.
- 15:01For the Cardinals to do what they did to the Jets is surprising.
- 15:06Now again, this was a team that I really haven't been able to watch a whole lot of Cardinals
- 15:12games, but I was able to watch this one and let me just say, Cardinals, I was unfamiliar
- 15:18with your game.
- 15:20I was unfamiliar because you guys, you guys are coming out guns blazing.
- 15:24You guys have been doing your thing.
- 15:27Okay.
- 15:28You talk about Tyler Murray, who prior to this point, you know, was definitely getting,
- 15:34you know, criticized because, you know, he plays a lot of video games and he's, you know,
- 15:39really heavy into Call of Duty and whatnot.
- 15:42Colin Murray has been balling out.
- 15:44Trey McBride, that is a superstar right there for the Cardinals.
- 15:48There was literally a play where Trey McBride caught it.
- 15:51There were four Jets defenders around him and he was still fighting to get the extra
- 15:56yards.
- 15:57Trey McBride looked amazing out there on the field.
- 16:01Okay.
- 16:02I'm talking about somebody that is definitely going to be with this team for a long time.
- 16:08If I'm the Cardinals, I am making sure that you lock him up because what he has been able
- 16:14to do for the past two years now, amazing.
- 16:18And that is exactly what you need.
- 16:20On top of that, James Carter was doing his thing.
- 16:23Trey McBride was doing this thing.
- 16:25The offense was just, was going on all cylinders and the Jets weren't able to do it.
- 16:31Not to mention this Jets defense, I don't know what it is.
- 16:36None of them look like they really wanted to tackle.
- 16:39Now granted, outside of that one play where Quincy Williams, you know, cracked, Colin
- 16:44Murray, this Jets defense was not looking good.
- 16:48It just wasn't.
- 16:49I don't know what it is, but it just seems like the life has just been sucked out of
- 16:54this team and sauce don't even look the same.
- 16:58Sauce does not look good.
- 17:00I'm sorry.
- 17:01We have to ring the red flag, the red bell.
- 17:05We have to ring something because this Jets team does not look good.
- 17:10And you cannot say that this Jets team does not have talent.
- 17:13This Jets team is struggling.
- 17:16This Jets team needs, you know, a fire put under them.
- 17:21They need some juice injected to them.
- 17:23They need something because if they don't, this ship is going to continue to sink more
- 17:30and more into the water.
- 17:32And Eric Rogers hasn't been looking good either.
- 17:36He was supposed to be, you know, doing his thing now that they have Devante Adams and,
- 17:41you know, the Cardinals defense was holding was holding up their own as well.
- 17:45But Baker was, was creating pressure.
- 17:48The past rushers were creating pressure.
- 17:50They were able to, you know, go toe to toe with Devante Adams and Garrett Wilson.
- 17:55They were able to, to do a lot and, you know, for the Cardinals to be able to do this, definitely,
- 18:03you know, peaks my interest.
- 18:04And you know, I would not be surprised if they are, you know, seated up pretty high
- 18:09in the playoffs.
- 18:10That Cardinals team, if they went up against the 49ers in the playoffs, I would probably
- 18:16put some money on the Cardinals simply because this team right now is the best in their division.
- 18:23That offense is running on all cylinders.
- 18:26Collin Mary is looking the best that he has ever been so far.
- 18:31You pair him with Marvin Harrison, Jr. and Trey McBride and, you know, James Conner and
- 18:38in company, they are doing their thing.
- 18:41They are.
- 18:42And they look like they are really serious.
- 18:45Like this is a young team that teams are going to have to be worried about, you know, moving
- 18:50forward.
- 18:51And, you know, if I'm the Cardinals front office, I am continuing to build off of this
- 18:56momentum because I guarantee you, if they hit on the next two drafts and maybe some
- 19:02free agency signings, this is going to be a team that is going to be primed for a deep
- 19:08playoff run.
- 19:09You heard it here first on the Football Junkies podcast.
- 19:12Okay.
- 19:13Now, let's go on to the Lions in Texans game.
- 19:16Okay.
- 19:17Man, I have so much to say about this, but let's just dive into it.
- 19:22Okay.
- 19:23CJ Stroud 19 for 33, 232 passing yards, one touchdown, two picks, seven yards per attempt
- 19:29and a 57.6 completion percentage.
- 19:32Okay.
- 19:33John Metchie the third six targets with five receptions, 74 receiving yards, one touchdown
- 19:38and 14.8 receiving yards per reception.
- 19:41Joe Mixon 25 attempts or 46 rushing yards, 1.8 rushing yards per carry and one touchdown.
- 19:47Okay.
- 19:48Jared Gauth 15 for 30, 240 passing yards, two touchdowns, five picks, eight yards per
- 19:54attempt and a 50% completion percentage.
- 19:57Okay.
- 19:58Jamira Gibbs 19 attempts for 71 rushing yards, 3.7 rushing yards per carry and three rushes
- 20:04of 10 plus yards or more.
- 20:06Camil Porter, six targets for three receptions, 66 receiving yards, one touchdown and 22 receiving
- 20:13yards per reception.
- 20:14Now this was probably one of the worst games for Jared Gauth that we have seen in a very
- 20:19long time.
- 20:21And the fact that this Texans team wasn't able to really capitalize off of all of those,
- 20:28you know, picks is a little bit alarming.
- 20:31It is.
- 20:32I'm not saying that every single one of them needed to be a pick six, but if you convert
- 20:37at least three of those interceptions into touchdowns, that puts you in a fairly comfortable
- 20:43place for them not to be able to do it.
- 20:47Definitely says a lot, but I think the bigger pressing issues I think that definitely needs
- 20:51to be talked about is CJ Stroud has significant significantly regressed.
- 20:57And I don't know what it is.
- 20:59I don't know if that's a coaching thing.
- 21:01I don't know if it's because of the offensive line.
- 21:04I don't know what it is, but he has significantly regressed and it's starting to be a big problem.
- 21:12If you're the Texans, you have to be a little bit afraid of this because when we look at
- 21:17it last year, guns blazing, right?
- 21:20You couldn't say not one negative thing about CJ Stroud.
- 21:24He was doing his thing.
- 21:26He was making the routine throws, making the big plays, winning games, doing his thing.
- 21:32And then now he's, he's not the same.
- 21:36Now maybe it's the sophomore slum.
- 21:39Maybe you know, it was a particular coach that's not there anymore.
- 21:44I don't know what it is, but something is not right.
- 21:48Okay.
- 21:49This team is a loaded team on both sides of the ball.
- 21:52They're full of talent.
- 21:54Out of Stefan Diggs being out for the season, there is no reason why the Texans should be
- 22:00struggling the way that they have been struggling.
- 22:02No reason.
- 22:04And for them to be struggling like this, it's not good.
- 22:07We again, I will continue to say this.
- 22:09I will continue to beat on the table.
- 22:13We are about to hit that point where every single game is going to matter.
- 22:18And if you have not been, if you've not been winning your divisional games, that is going
- 22:23to bite you once we start getting into the seeding process for the playoffs.
- 22:30It is.
- 22:31And again, the division for the Texans isn't even fairly strong.
- 22:35The only team that the Texans have to worry about is the Colts.
- 22:39And even then they're strong.
- 22:41They're still trying to figure out what, what they're going to do moving forward with their
- 22:44quarterback.
- 22:46Even though they did say that Anthony Richardson was going to be starting.
- 22:49Who knows?
- 22:50So again, Texans, you've got to get a, you got to get control of not only the division,
- 22:56but you have to figure out what is going on with CJ Stroud and, you know, try to see
- 23:02if you can patch it up.
- 23:03Because right now our AFC teams who are looking at the footage of CJ Stroud, just in case
- 23:09they have to face them in the playoffs.
- 23:11And I guarantee you right now, they already have a plan in place on how to deal with them.
- 23:17Now, I will say this and I will give him a little bit of leniency.
- 23:21Their offensive line this year has not been that good.
- 23:24It hasn't.
- 23:25And, you know, I would have thought, you know, leading into the, the trade deadline that
- 23:31they would have tried to make a few trades just to bolster up the, the offensive line
- 23:35a little bit more because outside of Loremi Tunzel, a fairly good job.
- 23:42Everybody else is a little bit shaky.
- 23:44And right now they have to be able to protect their quarterback.
- 23:48If they want to be able to make a deep playoff run and go right back where they were last
- 23:53year, they got a button, they got a button on these, all these problems, these very loose
- 23:58problems.
- 23:59Because right now the defense just showed that they can hold their own, especially against
- 24:04a team like the Lions.
- 24:06You made Jared golf look human because there was a point in time leading up to this game
- 24:13that a lot of people could make a strong case that Jared golf was definitely in the MVP
- 24:18running.
- 24:19And for him to throw five interceptions, definitely is, you know, a pattern of back to the defense.
- 24:24But at the same time, you didn't get the W. So again, somebody has to go back to the lab,
- 24:31figure out what's going on with CJ Stroud and then come up with a strategy because I
- 24:35still do believe in the Texas.
- 24:37I still do believe that they will make it into the playoffs, but as the week progresses
- 24:44and as you know, the season begins to come to a close and we start to hit the point for
- 24:49Thanksgiving and Christmas, you better start stacking those wins.
- 24:53You better start building a safety net just in case, just in case the seeding gets a little
- 24:58bit weird because I promise you, you don't want to go up against a team like the Ravens
- 25:03first.
- 25:04You don't want that.
- 25:05I'm telling you, you do not want that.
- 25:07But let's get into another game that we really do have to talk about.
- 25:11And that is the Giants and the Panthers.
- 25:14Okay.
- 25:15So Daniel Jones was 22 for 37, 190 passing yards, two picks, 5.1 yards per attempt and
- 25:22a 59.5 completion percentage.
- 25:24Tyrone Tracy 18 attempts for 103 rushing yards, 5.7 yards per attempt and three rushes of 10
- 25:32plus yards or more.
- 25:33John Dale Robinson, eight targets for five receptions, 51 receiving yards and 10.2 receiving
- 25:39yards per reception.
- 25:40Bryce Young, 15 for 25, 126 passing yards, one touchdown, five yards per attempt and
- 25:46a 60% completion percentage.
- 25:49Chubba Hubbard, 28 attempts for 153 rushing yards, 5.5 yards per attempt and four rushes
- 25:55of 10 plus yards or more.
- 25:57Jalen Coker, eight targets for three receptions, 41 receiving yards and 13.7 receiving yards
- 26:03per reception.
- 26:04Now, this is what I will say.
- 26:06This game solely featured the run game.
- 26:09The run game was very effective on both sides of the ball and both teams relied on it heavy.
- 26:16Okay.
- 26:17Tyrone Tracy was doing his thing.
- 26:19Chubba Hubbard was doing his thing.
- 26:21And for a point in time, I definitely thought that Tyrone Tracy was going to seal the game,
- 26:25but unfortunately they took him out and then everything else happened the way that it
- 26:30happened.
- 26:31The Panthers get the W, but this is what I will say.
- 26:35And you know, I haven't really talked about the draft and I probably should talk about
- 26:39the draft, you know, fairly soon.
- 26:42But you know, if I'm the Giants, I am tanking for next year.
- 26:48I am Daniel Jones is not the answer.
- 26:53Daniel Jones is not the longterm future and it's time for change.
- 26:58Okay.
- 26:59I understand that Joe Shane was trying to give Daniel Jones a chance and try to, you
- 27:04know, reason with the contract that he gave him.
- 27:08But as of right now, that contract is horrible.
- 27:12Daniel Jones looks horrible.
- 27:13This offense looks lackluster.
- 27:16Okay.
- 27:17If, if you bring in someone like a Shredor, a Sanders and to this offense or a cam ward,
- 27:26this offense is going to go through the roof.
- 27:29You pair that with another receiver and free agency.
- 27:34This offense will look either average to above average, which is all they really need.
- 27:40This Giants team is not that bad.
- 27:43Like what people think it is.
- 27:44It really isn't.
- 27:45They have their foundations in the defense Dexter Lawrence, K Von Timberdome and Brian
- 27:51Burns.
- 27:52Now they have to figure out what they're going to do with the offense, which again, Brian
- 27:57Dable, one in the quarterback, he was obsessed with Jaden Daniels.
- 28:03He was, he wanted Jaden Daniels, but Joe Shane wanted to go in a different direction.
- 28:08And you know, the rest is history.
- 28:09Now that's not a slight to Malik neighbors at all because Malik neighbors has definitely
- 28:13been balling when he is available.
- 28:16But the fact of the matter is everybody knows that Daniel Jones is not good.
- 28:20Everybody knows that at this point, the Giants reached in giving him the contract that they
- 28:25gave him and that now the Giants have to rewrite that wrong.
- 28:29And now they're going to have to invest into a high pick to get a quarterback and granted,
- 28:35as of right now, if I'm not mistaken, I could be wrong.
- 28:38If the season was to end right now and the draft was in two weeks, I think the Giants
- 28:43would have a top three pick.
- 28:46So again, it's time for the Giants to be serious about the quarterback position and it's time
- 28:53for them to, you know, really choose the future because right now Daniel Jones isn't in it.
- 29:01He's not.
- 29:02And it's no slight to him.
- 29:04I understand he was battling with injuries and a variety of different things.
- 29:08But this just goes to show you of how much of an influence Seguin Barkley had on that
- 29:14offense and how much it made Daniel Jones look a whole lot better.
- 29:20But I'm just going to leave it there because if I don't, I'm going to go down a whole rabbit
- 29:24hole about it.
- 29:25So this is what I will say.
- 29:27If you guys don't know what I'm talking about, go on HBO Max and look at hard knocks for
- 29:32the Giants from start to finish.
- 29:34And then you will see exactly where I'm coming from and you will understand exactly why I
- 29:39have the opinions that I have about the Giants move forward.
- 29:43But we got football tonight, folks.
- 29:45So let's just go over the commanders and equals fairly quickly.
- 29:48Okay.
- 29:49So these are just some junky nuggets that I found from NFL Pro shout out to them and
- 29:54they're great, you know, insights and information and whatnot.
- 29:58But since week five, the commanders have generated the third highest pressure rate.
- 30:02Okay.
- 30:03On top of that, since week five also, the commanders have the seventh highest blitz rate
- 30:08at 36%.
- 30:10Now this commander's team, they're going to come at you.
- 30:13They are going to put pressure on you for four quarters nonstop and it's going to come
- 30:18from different, different players in different directions.
- 30:21Now when we look at the Eagles, right?
- 30:24Since the Eagles by Quinn, y'all Mitchell has been targeted 13.9% of snaps and only allowed
- 30:310.6 yards per coverage.
- 30:34Quinn, y'all Mitchell is a lockdown corner.
- 30:37That is the matchup that I am looking forward to seeing Quinn, y'all Mitchell versus Terry
- 30:42McClourn.
- 30:43I cannot wait because I know it's going to be a great matchup.
- 30:48Okay.
- 30:49You have Terry McClourn who statistically speaking is having the best year of his career
- 30:55going up against the rookie and Quinn, y'all Mitchell cannot wait.
- 30:59Now the commanders are the only team who have multiple off-ball linebackers who have generated
- 31:04more than 10 pressures.
- 31:06Frankie Louvue has 16 pressures and Bobby Wagner has 13.
- 31:10Now I will be the first to say when Bobby Wagner signed with the commanders, it sort
- 31:15of did, you know, leave me a little bit questioned.
- 31:19But then when you, when you look at things, you have to remember Dan Quinn was the defensive
- 31:23coordinator for the Seahawks when they had the Legion of Boom.
- 31:27So you know, there's always a connection there.
- 31:29But so far Bobby Wagner has been balling.
- 31:32Okay.
- 31:33Him and Frankie Louvue balling.
- 31:36They have been able to constantly create pressure to mention.
- 31:39We all know that Bobby Wagner is the tackling machine that he is.
- 31:43So all in all, this is going to be great.
- 31:46This is going to be a great division rival matchup.
- 31:49Now the commanders are third in points for game at 29 and the Eagles are seventh in points
- 31:54for game at 25.9.
- 31:56Now the real question that I have is who is going to want to run the ball more?
- 32:02Who's going to want to put it up in the air more?
- 32:04That's the question that I have because again, you have two, two offenses who love to throw
- 32:11the ball as well as run the ball fairly well.
- 32:15Now the only difference is the Eagles need to run the ball, right?
- 32:22The commanders, they want to pass the ball.
- 32:24They want to put it up there.
- 32:25They want to give it to Noah Brown and Terry McClure.
- 32:29Now the question is who's going to want it more because this game is just as important
- 32:35for the Eagles as it is for the commanders.
- 32:38Okay.
- 32:39The commanders are coming off an L against the Steelers.
- 32:41The Eagles are coming off a W against the Cowboys.
- 32:45The Eagles need this because again, you want to continue to build that safety blanket, which
- 32:51is continuing to win those division rival games.
- 32:55And if they beat the commanders, this puts you in a really good place for the playoffs.
- 33:00So let's just all wait and see what happens.
- 33:03But when it in this episode here, if you guys like what you are listening, please, please,
