Mega Edition: The Downfall Of Jes Staley (9/8/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

0:00
Speaker 1: Jess Staley has been an ongoing topic of discussion on
0:04
Speaker 1: this podcast for quite some time. Now, I said earlier
0:09
Speaker 1: that I figured he would be out by no later
0:12
Speaker 1: than the end of this year. And if it wasn't
0:14
Speaker 1: for coronavirus, I honestly think Staley would have already been gone.
0:20
Speaker 1: But today we have a new article from the Financial
0:22
Speaker 1: Times talking about how Barclays is reshuffling its top ranks
0:27
Speaker 1: with Jess Staley again. heading out the door, being the
0:31
Speaker 1: top thing they have on their minds. Because they understand
0:36
Speaker 1: that this is not going to be able to go
0:39
Speaker 1: on for much longer. Having Jess Staley as the man
0:42
Speaker 1: over there is not going to be sustainable. As this
0:46
Speaker 1: case gets going, the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell gets cracking,
0:50
Speaker 1: people start talking, Jess Staley's name is bound to be mentioned.
0:57
Speaker 1: And Barclays is trying to get ahead of that right now. Remember,
1:01
Speaker 1: they said, oh, yeah, Jess Daly isn't going out. He's
1:05
Speaker 1: not going to leave. We're not getting rid of Jess Daly. Remember,
1:07
Speaker 1: they talked about how there were people behind the scenes
1:10
Speaker 1: that were backing him. And I told you it was
1:13
Speaker 1: all BS. Well, it was all BS. This is what
1:17
Speaker 1: happens in the boardroom. These are the sort of games
1:19
Speaker 1: that these people play. They'll tell you one thing. Even
1:25
Speaker 1: when they know another thing is coming down the pipe
1:27
Speaker 1: because it's all about protecting that stock price. And I can't,
1:30
Speaker 1: you know, that's the way it goes. That's how it
1:32
Speaker 1: works in those boardrooms. But anybody thinking that Jess Staley
1:36
Speaker 1: was not a proverbial dead man walking as far as
1:40
Speaker 1: his time at Barclays has not been paying attention. Even
1:45
Speaker 1: Jess Staley, with all of his wiggling off of the
1:49
Speaker 1: hook ability, has nowhere to go When it comes to
1:55
Speaker 1: this situation, he is against it, right? It is not
2:00
Speaker 1: good for him. The information that has come out, just
2:02
Speaker 1: the little bit of information we know about their relationship
2:05
Speaker 1: is not a good look for Jess Staley. And now
2:09
Speaker 1: we know that in the Virgin Islands, they're looking at
2:13
Speaker 1: all of the financials. And you have to think that
2:16
Speaker 1: the prosecution in New York is also doing the same thing.
2:21
Speaker 1: So Barclay sees the writing on the wall here, folks.
2:24
Speaker 1: and they're starting to prepare for the eventual exit of
2:28
Speaker 1: Jess Staley. Let's jump into this article from the Financial
2:32
Speaker 1: Times and see what they have to say. This article
2:36
Speaker 1: was authored by Stephen Morris. Headline, Barclays reshuffles top ranks
2:42
Speaker 1: with Jess Staley's succession in mind. Two senior lieutenants given
2:47
Speaker 1: roles at investment bank, putting them in direct competition to
2:50
Speaker 1: replace outgoing chief executive. So they're saying it right here
2:55
Speaker 1: at Financial Times now. Jess Staley is an outgoing chief executive.
3:00
Speaker 1: He's not somebody that has any staying power. His time
3:03
Speaker 1: has come. And if it wasn't for this coronavirus outbreak,
3:07
Speaker 1: this pandemic, then Staley would have already been gone, in
3:10
Speaker 1: my opinion. Barclays is under assault from inside forces, and
3:17
Speaker 1: outside forces, over Jess Staley and his role with Jeffrey Epstein.
3:22
Speaker 1: And the heat is obviously becoming way too hot. Barclays
3:28
Speaker 1: has reshuffled its highest ranks as the internal contest to
3:31
Speaker 1: succeed Chief Executive Jess Staley gathers pace, naming two of
3:36
Speaker 1: his top lieutenants to senior roles overseeing the investment bank.
3:40
Speaker 1: And that's pretty usual, right? When you're getting ready to
3:45
Speaker 1: have a successor or a situation where somebody who is
3:48
Speaker 1: leaving a job has underlings underneath them who are going
3:54
Speaker 1: to be vying for the job you start to see
3:56
Speaker 1: those people get a little bit more responsibility right they
3:59
Speaker 1: might come to a couple extra meetings or they might
4:02
Speaker 1: be sitting in with the big boss or whatever it
4:04
Speaker 1: may be but you you understand when you're in a
4:07
Speaker 1: corporate environment when the writing is on the wall and
4:11
Speaker 1: jess staley most certainly knows His time is coming. On Wednesday,
4:18
Speaker 1: the British lender named Talib Shah, its new chief risk officer,
4:22
Speaker 1: after the incumbent CS Venkatak Krishnan, known as Venkat, made
4:28
Speaker 1: global head of markets overseeing Barclays trading operations, according to
4:33
Speaker 1: a separate internal memo seen by the Financial Times. So
4:38
Speaker 1: we got Talib Shah as the new chief risk officer.
4:44
Speaker 1: after Venkat was made the global head of markets. So
4:48
Speaker 1: you're seeing the shuffling go on, right? You're seeing these
4:51
Speaker 1: voids be filled as they're made. And it looks like
4:56
Speaker 1: Barclays is going to look to replace Staley from an
5:00
Speaker 1: internal method. Not going to go outside and bring somebody
5:05
Speaker 1: else in from abroad or anything like that. It looks
5:08
Speaker 1: like they're going to stick with somebody that's already at
5:10
Speaker 1: the company, which is probably a good idea, right? A
5:13
Speaker 1: seamless transition. The board's probably familiar with them, et cetera,
5:18
Speaker 1: et cetera. And again, remember, during this pandemic, a lot
5:22
Speaker 1: of these financial institutions are, you know, they're very cautious
5:27
Speaker 1: about making changes because the implications that has in regards
5:33
Speaker 1: to their stock prices. So they want as much normalcy
5:36
Speaker 1: as possible. They want stability. And unfortunately for Barclays, that
5:43
Speaker 1: just is not going to occur with Jess Daly. Meanwhile,
5:49
Speaker 1: Paul Compton was promoted to global head of banking, managing
5:52
Speaker 1: the other half of the investment bank, which includes M
5:55
Speaker 1: & A Advisory and Capital Markets. So Paul Compton was
6:00
Speaker 1: also moved on up and now he's in charge of
6:02
Speaker 1: the global head of banking and he's, you know, it's
6:06
Speaker 1: big time stuff there, right? Capital Markets, M & A Advisory. So,
6:11
Speaker 1: you know, he has a big time role now, Mr.
6:14
Speaker 1: Paul Compton. And I would not be surprised to see
6:20
Speaker 1: either Paul Compton or Venkat be named the successor within
6:31
Speaker 1: the next couple of months. Mr. Venkat Krishnan and Mr. Compton,
6:40
Speaker 1: both former colleagues of Mr. Staley at JP Morgan in
6:43
Speaker 1: New York, are now on a par as co-presidents of
6:47
Speaker 1: Barclays Bank, the unit that houses the group's non-UK consumer operations.
6:54
Speaker 1: So again, look, these guys worked with Staley at JP Morgan. Now,
7:00
Speaker 1: there's no indication that they had anything to do with
7:04
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's accounts. I would hope that the investigators would
7:07
Speaker 1: look at that as well, right? Anybody who was at
7:09
Speaker 1: JP Morgan during the time that Jeffrey Epstein was banking
7:13
Speaker 1: with them Should be looked at very closely. And their
7:17
Speaker 1: transactions and their accounts should also be looked at very closely.
7:22
Speaker 1: Because we know that Jeffrey Epstein was using these banks
7:26
Speaker 1: to wash this money. And we know that Jeffrey Epstein
7:30
Speaker 1: had a bunch of money parked offshore. So it's a...
7:38
Speaker 1: It's very important that that is... looked into right that
7:44
Speaker 1: that path of discovery is searched this sets them up
7:52
Speaker 1: in direct competition and in contest to succeed mr staley
7:56
Speaker 1: who is preparing to step down in the next few
7:58
Speaker 1: years few years huh okay again i i have a
8:04
Speaker 1: hard time believing that mr staley is around for a
8:08
Speaker 1: few years okay In fact, I believe that if there's
8:11
Speaker 1: any sort of stabilization in the next couple of months,
8:15
Speaker 1: by the end of the year, we'll see Mr. Staley
8:18
Speaker 1: out and either Venkat or Compton in this role. Australian-born Mr. Compton,
8:28
Speaker 1: who joined Barclays' chief operating officer in 2016, was seen
8:33
Speaker 1: as the leading internal candidate to succeed Mr. Staley when
8:36
Speaker 1: he was given more responsibility after the former investment bank chief,
8:41
Speaker 1: Tim Throsby, was fired in March of 2019. So this
8:46
Speaker 1: has been ongoing for a while, right? Compton has been
8:51
Speaker 1: working his way up the ladder within Barclays' corporate structure
8:56
Speaker 1: he has been building up his profile he has taken
8:59
Speaker 1: on more responsibility and he is now in the running
9:04
Speaker 1: to become the man at Barclays Mr. Venkat's elevation on
9:12
Speaker 1: Wednesday appears to level the playing field people familiar with
9:15
Speaker 1: the matter said so now you had Compton who was
9:18
Speaker 1: promoted in 2016 given more responsibility was being groomed for
9:23
Speaker 1: the position almost And now you have Venkat getting promoted
9:27
Speaker 1: to this other position, and he has now also thrusted
9:32
Speaker 1: his hat into the ring for the job. In March,
9:36
Speaker 1: the Financial Times reported that Barclays was preparing to start
9:39
Speaker 1: the search for a new chief executive after Mr. Staley, 63,
9:44
Speaker 1: said he privately expects to leave the group by the
9:46
Speaker 1: end of 2021. However... He may opt to stay on
9:50
Speaker 1: longer to guide the bank through the coronavirus crisis, a
9:54
Speaker 1: person close to him said. Boy, these guys get all
9:57
Speaker 1: kinds of lifelines all the time, right? Jess Daly should
10:00
Speaker 1: be out on his ass speaking to investigators. Instead, he's
10:04
Speaker 1: using the coronavirus as a life preserver to keep him
10:08
Speaker 1: afloat at work. What a wacky ass year, huh, folks?
10:13
Speaker 1: I swear to God, I swear we must be in
10:16
Speaker 1: some sort of alternate reality. Mr. Staley's controversial championing of
10:24
Speaker 1: the investment bank has been the most closely watched strategic
10:27
Speaker 1: decision of his five-year tenure. It put him at odds
10:30
Speaker 1: with activist investor Edward Bramson, who started building a stake
10:34
Speaker 1: in Barclays in spring 2018 and has subsequently agitated for
10:39
Speaker 1: the trading unit to be dramatically shrunk and for Mr.
10:44
Speaker 1: Staley to step down. And we all know Edward Bramson
10:47
Speaker 1: on this show now, right? Edward Bramson is the guy who,
10:51
Speaker 1: through Sherborne, owns about 6% of Barclay's shares. And he's
10:56
Speaker 1: been pushing hard as hell to get Jess Staley to
11:00
Speaker 1: step down or to be fired over his relationship with
11:04
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. And as far as Bramson's concerned, Staley is really, really,
11:13
Speaker 1: really bad for business. And not the kind of guy
11:16
Speaker 1: that you want in control of your company... And with
11:19
Speaker 1: your money, right? Recently, Mr. Staley received a boost from
11:25
Speaker 1: his strategy as a surge in earnings from the trading
11:27
Speaker 1: arm of the investment bank helped offset billions in COVID-related
11:31
Speaker 1: loan loss provisions at the retail and credit card arms. Yeah,
11:36
Speaker 1: you know, his earnings from the trading arm of the
11:38
Speaker 1: investment bank, huh? What that means is all the disgusting
11:42
Speaker 1: scuzzball trillionaires, billionaires, millionaires who are moving their disgusting money
11:48
Speaker 1: like the FinCEN files has shown us through these banks,
11:52
Speaker 1: have been popping off during coronavirus. That's basically what it
11:56
Speaker 1: says to me. An insider said the promotions were designed
12:01
Speaker 1: for both men to prove their mettle in revenue generating
12:04
Speaker 1: roles over the next few years. It is shaping up
12:07
Speaker 1: to be one of the bleakest periods for European banking
12:10
Speaker 1: since the financial crisis, as lenders wrestle with the fallout
12:14
Speaker 1: from the coronavirus crisis and the growing dominance of Wall
12:18
Speaker 1: Street in global investment banking. Look, I am not a
12:22
Speaker 1: fan of investment banking anywhere, and that's rather obvious at
12:26
Speaker 1: this point, right? But Wall Street. is the home to
12:30
Speaker 1: the biggest crooks in the world, in my opinion. And
12:36
Speaker 1: not everybody on Wall Street, right? And not everybody in banks.
12:39
Speaker 1: I'm not talking about low-level bank tellers or middle management.
12:43
Speaker 1: You're running a banking franchise. You have yourself one bank
12:48
Speaker 1: you're the manager of. You're not privy to this shit.
12:51
Speaker 1: You're not somebody who's in these board meetings. You're not
12:53
Speaker 1: somebody who's meeting with Jeffrey Epstein to move his money.
12:58
Speaker 1: This is about the people at the very top, just
13:01
Speaker 1: like it's about the people at the very top at
13:03
Speaker 1: the FBI and the CIA. All of these people, all
13:07
Speaker 1: of these people do not care about any of us.
13:13
Speaker 1: And it is rather obvious from the way they conduct themselves. Mr.
13:20
Speaker 1: Venkat and Mr. Compton are being officially charged with driving
13:24
Speaker 1: stronger collaboration across the corporate and investment bank. The memo said,
13:28
Speaker 1: essentially cross-selling more financial products to Barclays roster of international clients.
13:34
Speaker 1: So it looks like they're like, they want to diversify
13:36
Speaker 1: here a little bit, right? They want to cross-sell some
13:39
Speaker 1: more products. They want to make sure that they're tapping
13:43
Speaker 1: every single drain at their disposal. to make sure they're
13:49
Speaker 1: bringing in every last dollar possible. That's what these banksters do, right?
13:53
Speaker 1: And that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about
13:58
Speaker 1: the criminal conduct that takes place at the high levels
14:02
Speaker 1: and inside of the oversight room. To make way for
14:08
Speaker 1: the new pair's elevation, Stephen Dayton's role has been downgraded
14:12
Speaker 1: to deputy head of markets and Joe McGrath, who was
14:15
Speaker 1: named global head of banking last year, is being moved
14:18
Speaker 1: to chairman of investment banking. He will continue to oversee
14:22
Speaker 1: asset allocation and chair and client conflict committee of the division,
14:27
Speaker 1: according to the memo. So all of this stuff is happening, folks. Remember,
14:33
Speaker 1: because of Jess Daly and his relationship with Epstein. If
14:38
Speaker 1: Jeff Staley never had that relationship with Epstein, he would
14:40
Speaker 1: have an iron clad path to keeping this job and
14:45
Speaker 1: steering the ship through the coronavirus pandemic. But he does
14:49
Speaker 1: not have that. What he has is a cloud hanging
14:53
Speaker 1: over his head, a cloud of suspicion over his role
14:58
Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein's criminal enterprise and also as Jeffrey Epstein's
15:04
Speaker 1: money manager. Mr. Staley said in the memo on Wednesday,
15:10
Speaker 1: these changes I am making to remits on the executive
15:14
Speaker 1: committee are designed to develop what is an already exceptional
15:18
Speaker 1: senior leadership team, as well as adding to the experience
15:21
Speaker 1: of the individuals taking on these new opportunities. So what
15:26
Speaker 1: we're seeing here, folks, are the two men, Mr. Venkat
15:30
Speaker 1: and Mr. Compton, who will be vying to replace the
15:33
Speaker 1: void left by Jess Staley when he eventually leaves And again,
15:39
Speaker 1: I can't see it being much longer. We're in October now.
15:42
Speaker 1: Today is October 1st. I cannot see it being much longer.
15:47
Speaker 1: I would say by the end of the year or
15:51
Speaker 1: early 2021 at the latest, the second that they feel
15:54
Speaker 1: like they can stabilize things over the coronavirus pandemic, that's
15:58
Speaker 1: when you can expect Jess Staley to be shown the door.
16:03
Speaker 1: If you'd like to contact me, you can do that
16:05
Speaker 1: at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. All of
16:14
Speaker 1: the links that go with this episode can be found
16:17
Speaker 1: in the description box. All right, everybody, I'll be back
16:20
Speaker 1: later on. I hope you all have a great day. Hello, everyone,
16:25
Speaker 1: and welcome to The Jeffrey Epstein Show. I'm your host,
16:28
Speaker 1: Bobby Capucci, and this is a morning update. Let's talk
16:32
Speaker 1: a little Jess Staley and Barclay, shall we? There's a
16:36
Speaker 1: report out saying that Jess Staley will not have to
16:40
Speaker 1: worry about Sherbourne and Bramson during this upcoming vote. And
16:47
Speaker 1: the reason is the Wuhan SARS outbreak and the pandemic
16:51
Speaker 1: that it has caused. Now, we know the reports that
16:55
Speaker 1: were coming out of Barclay's before all of this was
16:58
Speaker 1: Staley was on his way out by 2021. I told
17:02
Speaker 1: you that that timeline was going to be accelerated. And
17:06
Speaker 1: I still believe that timeline is going to be accelerated. Now,
17:09
Speaker 1: I think that what they're doing here, and I said
17:12
Speaker 1: it from the beginning of this pandemic, is they're going
17:14
Speaker 1: to set Staley up to take the fall. They're going
17:17
Speaker 1: to keep him in now. And then when it's time
17:19
Speaker 1: for heads to roll after this all passes and they
17:22
Speaker 1: see the carnage from the Wuhan SARS outbreak, It's going
17:28
Speaker 1: to be an easy decision for the board to jump
17:31
Speaker 1: on board with Sherbourne and Bramson and jettison Jess Daly.
17:36
Speaker 1: I said before all of this started that I didn't
17:39
Speaker 1: think he'd make it through the summer, and I still
17:41
Speaker 1: don't think he's going to make it through the summer.
17:43
Speaker 1: I look for Jess Daly to be voted out the second,
17:47
Speaker 1: the second time. things stabilize in the market, or at
17:50
Speaker 1: least appear to be stabilized in the market. And there
17:54
Speaker 1: is a concise plan going forward to deal with COVID-19
17:59
Speaker 1: financially as an industry with the bankers. Once they get
18:04
Speaker 1: to that point and they feel like there's a bit
18:06
Speaker 1: of stability, he's gone. Jess Daly is finished. There's no
18:10
Speaker 1: way Bramson is not going to keep up the jihad.
18:12
Speaker 1: He wants nothing to do with Jess Staley being part
18:16
Speaker 1: of this board. And from the conversations I've had in
18:19
Speaker 1: the last couple of days with some of my people
18:21
Speaker 1: in the financial sector, they all said the same thing.
18:25
Speaker 1: This man is being set up to be the scapegoat.
18:27
Speaker 1: He's definitely going to get the ax. He was going
18:29
Speaker 1: to get it before the COVID-19 outbreak. And now it's
18:32
Speaker 1: just a matter of when, not if. So we're going
18:37
Speaker 1: to jump into this article and see what The Guardian
18:39
Speaker 1: has to say about Jess Staley and the upcoming vote
18:43
Speaker 1: at Barclays. The Guardian is the publication. The author is
18:51
Speaker 1: Kalina Makortov. Headline, Barclays CEO avoids vote against re-election over
18:58
Speaker 1: Epstein ties. Sounds ominous, right? And they love to do
19:01
Speaker 1: that with the headlines. With the headline, you would think,
19:03
Speaker 1: oh man, they're just giving up. They're not going to
19:05
Speaker 1: vote against Jeff Staley to get him out of here.
19:07
Speaker 1: They don't care. But in reality, this is all just
19:09
Speaker 1: a smokescreen. Remember what I tell you folks all the time?
19:12
Speaker 1: We've got to read between the lines. When we're reading
19:14
Speaker 1: these articles, we have to read between the lines. What
19:17
Speaker 1: are they trying to say without saying it? And that's
19:21
Speaker 1: the most important part when you're reading articles and you're
19:23
Speaker 1: going through the news because it's not the actual message
19:27
Speaker 1: that they're putting out. It's the message that they're giving
19:30
Speaker 1: you in between the lines. Barclays Chief Executive Jess Staley
19:35
Speaker 1: will avoid a potentially embarrassing vote against his re-election over
19:39
Speaker 1: his ties to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein after activist investor
19:43
Speaker 1: Ed Bramson eased up on demands for his removal in
19:47
Speaker 1: light of the COVID-19 outbreak. And again, And again, that
19:40
Speaker 1: is the whole motivation behind this. They know getting rid
19:43
Speaker 1: of their CEO right now in a market that is
19:45
Speaker 1: so unstable will have disastrous results for them. And at
20:01
Speaker 1: the end of the day, let's remember, Barclays, all they're
20:03
Speaker 1: worried about is that bottom line. They're not good guys here, right?
20:06
Speaker 1: They're not trying to get rid of Staley because he's
20:11
Speaker 1: an evil guy and they don't agree with his behavior. No,
20:13
Speaker 1: it's all about optics, right? It's not because Barclays is
20:17
Speaker 1: this group of people who has this moral standard and Staley,
20:22
Speaker 1: you know, didn't pass it. No, it's just because he
20:24
Speaker 1: was outed and the public knows and it's about optics.
20:27
Speaker 1: So don't take this as if Barclays is some great group.
20:30
Speaker 1: They're not. But the fact of the matter is, sometimes
20:33
Speaker 1: an enemy of an enemy is my friend. And if
20:35
Speaker 1: Barclays is going to work towards getting rid of Staley,
20:38
Speaker 1: I'll support that decision. And then I'll go back to
20:41
Speaker 1: criticizing Barclays as a group directly after they make that decision.
20:46
Speaker 1: But as of now, all I want to see is
20:48
Speaker 1: Staley get the boot. Brampton called for Scali's removal last month,
20:53
Speaker 1: but on Thursday admitted the bank would need more time
20:55
Speaker 1: to replace the chief executive as it tried to deal
20:59
Speaker 1: with the more pressing challenge posed by the pandemic. And
21:02
Speaker 1: that's just, that's basic stuff in the financial sector, right?
21:05
Speaker 1: You want as much stability as you possibly can, even
21:08
Speaker 1: if that means that the person who is at the
21:10
Speaker 1: helm might be facing an investigation or two. What you
21:13
Speaker 1: want to do is make sure that the stability of
21:17
Speaker 1: the organization going forward is the most important. important part
21:23
Speaker 1: of what you have going on. And for that, they
21:26
Speaker 1: need to have some stability through this whole entire thing, right?
21:29
Speaker 1: But once this pandemic passes, wait and see, folks. Staley
21:33
Speaker 1: is so finished, it's not even funny. Bramson is... His
21:38
Speaker 1: whole entire motivation here is to get rid of Staley.
21:41
Speaker 1: He understands that with Staley at the helm, Barclays is
21:43
Speaker 1: never going to be as profitable as they would like.
21:46
Speaker 1: And with Sherbourne holding so much of the stock, it is... important, obviously,
21:52
Speaker 1: for them that this company, this bank, is turning a profit.
21:56
Speaker 1: They have investors they have to answer to as well.
21:59
Speaker 1: And if you were an investor in Sherbourne and, you know,
22:03
Speaker 1: you see this meeting coming up and you know that
22:05
Speaker 1: Bramson hates Staley and wants to get rid of him,
22:09
Speaker 1: As an investor in Sherbourne, you're on board with that, right?
22:12
Speaker 1: You want Staley gone too. You don't want the stink
22:14
Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein anywhere around your money. So it makes
22:17
Speaker 1: sense to get rid of Staley. But if you understand
22:20
Speaker 1: the financial markets and you understand how these things work,
22:24
Speaker 1: they never want to create more instability in a situation
22:28
Speaker 1: that is already unstable. So what you see here is
22:31
Speaker 1: Staley being propped up and being put out as the
22:34
Speaker 1: fall guy. Bramson, whose Sherbourne Investors vehicle owns a stake
22:40
Speaker 1: of more than 5% in Barclays, said he was calling
22:42
Speaker 1: on Barclays shareholders to abstain from the vote, which is
22:46
Speaker 1: due before the bank's annual general meeting on May 7th.
22:49
Speaker 1: It is expected to take place via webcast due to
22:52
Speaker 1: physical distancing rules. Well, I wouldn't mind that if I
22:57
Speaker 1: was part of the, uh... Because I wouldn't want to
23:00
Speaker 1: be in a room with any of these people. Let's
23:02
Speaker 1: not cut corners here. We all know the financial sector
23:05
Speaker 1: is filled with snakes and degenerates, right? And I'm sure
23:09
Speaker 1: the Barclays boardroom is no different. A letter sent by
23:13
Speaker 1: Bramson to Barclay shareholders said, Now remember, that's important because
23:25
Speaker 1: he's letting you know right off the bat that they
23:29
Speaker 1: still don't have confidence in Staley. Again, let's read between
23:32
Speaker 1: the lines. For them, who better to take the fall
23:35
Speaker 1: than Jess Staley when this is all said and done? However,
23:40
Speaker 1: as a result of engagement with Barclays, and in recognition
23:43
Speaker 1: of the complexity of the management situation presented during the
23:46
Speaker 1: COVID-19 pandemic, we will now, with great reluctance, only withhold
23:51
Speaker 1: our vote for Mr. Staley's reappointment at the 2020 AGM
23:55
Speaker 1: rather than vote against him. Again, folks, I know it
23:59
Speaker 1: sounds bad and you want to be like, oh, god damn,
24:04
Speaker 1: don't fall into that trap. This is all posturing, just
24:07
Speaker 1: like when I told you the board acted as if
24:10
Speaker 1: they had faith in him and then we started seeing
24:12
Speaker 1: the reports from sources that the board does not have
24:15
Speaker 1: faith in him. It's the same situation here. They're putting
24:18
Speaker 1: him up as the fall guy. Bramson said, And you
24:24
Speaker 1: see from the language here, Bramson is not letting up. He,
24:27
Speaker 1: but again, The most important thing to Bramson, and I'm
24:42
Speaker 1: not going to, I'm not going to say that I, I, I,
24:44
Speaker 1: I'm not going to slam him for this. It's his
24:46
Speaker 1: job to make sure that his shareholders are making money. I,
24:49
Speaker 1: you know, agree with how that works or don't agree
24:51
Speaker 1: with it. That's not the point here. The point is
24:53
Speaker 1: his job is to make sure that his people who
24:56
Speaker 1: have bought into his Sherbourne vehicle, that they're making a profit.
25:02
Speaker 1: And in Bramson's mind, and in the mind of just
25:04
Speaker 1: about every speculator I've spoken to, with Jeff Staley at
25:07
Speaker 1: the helm, especially after this all calms down and the
25:11
Speaker 1: spotlight goes back on to the Jeffrey Epstein case, there's
25:14
Speaker 1: zero chance that Staley is going to be able to
25:16
Speaker 1: lead Barclays going forward in a profitable manner, especially trying
25:21
Speaker 1: to climb out of this COVID-19 hole. UK regulators are
25:25
Speaker 1: investigating whether Staley was sufficiently transparent about his relationship with Epstein,
25:30
Speaker 1: who died in prison in August 2019 while awaiting trial
25:34
Speaker 1: on charges of trafficking underage girls. Staley, who joined Barclays
25:39
Speaker 1: in 2015, has said he developed a relationship with Epstein
25:43
Speaker 1: in 2000 when he became the boss of JP Morgan's
25:45
Speaker 1: private bank, which counted Epstein among its wealthy customers. Again,
25:50
Speaker 1: I want a complete audit of... JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank,
25:55
Speaker 1: all of these banks that were involved with Epstein need
25:57
Speaker 1: to be audited under RICO statutes. Pretty simple. And that
26:01
Speaker 1: goes for Jess Staley as well. We need to know
26:04
Speaker 1: exactly what Staley and Epstein were up to, if there
26:06
Speaker 1: were any deals being made on the side, how many
26:09
Speaker 1: bags of cash were being dropped off, all of it.
26:12
Speaker 1: If it was up to me and I was in
26:14
Speaker 1: charge of this, I would have a team of 50
26:16
Speaker 1: to 100 forensic accountants going crazy on this case. The
26:23
Speaker 1: Barclays boss said his relationship with Epstein tapered off after
26:26
Speaker 1: he left JP Morgan in 2013. What year was Jeffrey
26:30
Speaker 1: Epstein convicted again? How can you still hang out with
26:32
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein after a conviction and then get the job
26:35
Speaker 1: as Barclays boss? Oh, I'll tell you how, because they
26:38
Speaker 1: really don't care in the financial sector, that's how. He
26:44
Speaker 1: made a final visit to Epstein's private Caribbean island with
26:47
Speaker 1: his wife in the final months of 2015. Again, what
26:50
Speaker 1: sort of scumbag brings their wife to go hang out
26:53
Speaker 1: with a sex offender? I would be mortified to introduce
26:57
Speaker 1: my wife or my girlfriend or my fiance to a
27:01
Speaker 1: sex offender and go hang out on his island. You
27:03
Speaker 1: have all the money in the world. I mean, literally,
27:05
Speaker 1: Jeff Staley is so goddang rich that it's not even funny.
27:10
Speaker 1: But yet, he's still cavorting with Epstein. He still has
27:12
Speaker 1: to go to Epstein's island to hang out and have
27:15
Speaker 1: a vacation. Bro, buy your own island. Go rent one out.
27:18
Speaker 1: Why are you hanging out with a pedophile? The Epstein
27:23
Speaker 1: investigation comes less than two years after Staley was fined
27:27
Speaker 1: almost 650,000 pounds for attempting to unmask a whistleblower at
27:31
Speaker 1: Barclays in 2016. Yeah, of course, that's how he rolls.
27:35
Speaker 1: He's just like his boy, Epstein. All of these folks
27:38
Speaker 1: deal in intimidation. They all deal in tampering. They all
27:44
Speaker 1: deal in paying off witnesses. It's just their MO. That's
27:47
Speaker 1: how all of these sons of bitches operate, and it's
27:50
Speaker 1: disgusting to see. Barclays is backing its chief executive officer
27:55
Speaker 1: and said Staley retains the full confidence of the board
27:59
Speaker 1: and is being unanimously recommended for re-election at the AGM.
28:05
Speaker 1: It conducted its own review of Staley's relationship with Epstein
28:08
Speaker 1: and had concluded the chief executive had been sufficiently transparent
28:11
Speaker 1: with the company as regards the nature and extent of
28:15
Speaker 1: his relationship with Mr. Epstein. Talk about lip service. Wow.
28:20
Speaker 1: That is nothing more than to prop up the market.
28:23
Speaker 1: That comment there is nothing more than to prop up
28:25
Speaker 1: the market and to make sure that people have some
28:28
Speaker 1: confidence that the leadership isn't going to be rocked at Barclays.
28:31
Speaker 1: And in reality, I think that it's bad for Barclays
28:36
Speaker 1: to even go this route. When all is said and done,
28:39
Speaker 1: I am not going to forget the way Barclays has
28:42
Speaker 1: conducted themselves. How some members of the board still have
28:45
Speaker 1: full confidence in Staley. But now remember, the rumblings and
28:50
Speaker 1: the scuttlebutt around the table in the financial sector is
28:54
Speaker 1: the opposite. So, I still stick to the belief that
28:58
Speaker 1: by the end of the summer, maybe into the early fall,
29:03
Speaker 1: Fall before we see Staley go. There's no way he
29:07
Speaker 1: makes it to 2021. Zero chance. The second this pandemic
29:11
Speaker 1: starts to slow down and the second the banking market
29:14
Speaker 1: starts to stabilize even just a little bit, expect for
29:17
Speaker 1: Bramson to renew his calls and look to get rid
29:21
Speaker 1: of Jess Staley in a hostile takeover. If you'd like
29:25
Speaker 1: to contact me, you can do that at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com.
29:29
Speaker 1: That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I. You can also find me on Twitter at
29:36
Speaker 1: B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. Also, remember, on Saturday, I will be
29:42
Speaker 1: joined by Lisa and Jen from the Prince and the
29:46
Speaker 1: Pervert podcast, which is based down in Australia. You certainly
29:50
Speaker 1: do not want to miss that one. All right, folks,
29:52
Speaker 1: until later on, I hope you all have a fantastic day.
30:02
Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
30:07
Speaker 1: One of the key figures when we're talking about following
30:10
Speaker 1: the money and talking about how Epstein was able to
30:13
Speaker 1: manipulate the financial system has to be Jess Staley. This
30:20
Speaker 1: is a man who was uniquely positioned to help Jeffrey
30:24
Speaker 1: Epstein along the way and to not only help him
30:28
Speaker 1: but to offer him other avenues to to get rich on.
30:33
Speaker 1: The IPOs that he was offered, the Gratz hustle, the
30:38
Speaker 1: access to the other people as far as the wealth
30:42
Speaker 1: fund goes, all of this was made possible by Jess Staley.
30:47
Speaker 1: And for Jess Staley, the relationship with Epstein was huge.
30:51
Speaker 1: Having a guy like that as part of his portfolio,
30:54
Speaker 1: a guy like that that could bring other rich people
30:57
Speaker 1: within the fold, That's worth its weight in gold to
31:01
Speaker 1: people like Jess Staley. And who cares if Jeffrey Epstein
31:04
Speaker 1: is a scumbag? Who cares if he's a convicted human
31:08
Speaker 1: trafficker or a convicted sex offender at that point? Doesn't matter.
31:14
Speaker 1: And then for Jess Staley to leave the position he
31:18
Speaker 1: was in to only land over at Barclays is just
31:22
Speaker 1: beyond the pale. And Barclays will say, well, we had
31:27
Speaker 1: no idea and they knew. They thought that this was
31:31
Speaker 1: all over and done with, though. They had no idea
31:33
Speaker 1: that Epstein was going to get arrested a second time
31:36
Speaker 1: and that the lid was going to get blown off
31:38
Speaker 1: of this thing once again. So they thought that they
31:41
Speaker 1: were in the clear. They thought they were never going
31:43
Speaker 1: to have to answer any questions about Jess Staley and
31:48
Speaker 1: his relationship with Epstein. They thought that it was never,
31:51
Speaker 1: ever going to come back to haunt them. Well, guess what?
31:54
Speaker 1: Fast forward to today, and that is not a reality,
31:58
Speaker 1: is it? Because not only did it come back to
32:01
Speaker 1: bite them, they had to get rid of Jess Staley.
32:05
Speaker 1: Because there was no way that they were going to
32:07
Speaker 1: be able to navigate the waters that were coming up
32:12
Speaker 1: with Epstein and his stench dragging them all down. So,
32:19
Speaker 1: see you later, Jess Staley. And... Barclays, they'll, you know,
32:24
Speaker 1: wash their hands clean of it. And they'll say, well,
32:26
Speaker 1: we did the right thing. We got rid of them. So,
32:28
Speaker 1: you know, we have nothing to do with any of this.
32:32
Speaker 1: But in reality, how many money launderers are moving their
32:35
Speaker 1: money through Barclays? How many other people like Jeffrey Epstein
32:39
Speaker 1: were being helped by a guy like Jess Staley? My
32:45
Speaker 1: guess is, and I can't prove this, folks, right? But
32:48
Speaker 1: my guess is a whole hell of a lot of them.
32:51
Speaker 1: And we know that the United States of America, we
32:54
Speaker 1: know that the UK, London specifically, are used as money-washing
33:01
Speaker 1: spots and places to park this dark money. And guys
33:05
Speaker 1: like Jess Staley and, you know, the folks that he
33:09
Speaker 1: rolls with, who would know how to manipulate those systems better? Tonight,
33:16
Speaker 1: we have an article from the Evening Standard that's going
33:18
Speaker 1: to talk a little bit more about Jess Staley. And tomorrow,
33:23
Speaker 1: we'll get to see what Barclays paid Jess Daly on
33:27
Speaker 1: the way out. And I'm sure it's a huge amount
33:30
Speaker 1: of money, right? When it's a guy like Jess Daly
33:33
Speaker 1: we're talking about, you know he's not walking out the
33:35
Speaker 1: door for free. But they definitely would be willing to
33:40
Speaker 1: pay him whatever to get that stink off of them.
33:43
Speaker 1: Considering that they only got the preliminary results back from
33:47
Speaker 1: the investigation too. And they were able to get this
33:54
Speaker 1: amount of information just from the prelims. That was disturbing
33:58
Speaker 1: enough for them to make this decision. On just these
34:01
Speaker 1: basic preliminary findings. It has to be a pretty bad
34:06
Speaker 1: report overall. So Jess Staley is basically finished you would
34:12
Speaker 1: think right. There's not going to be another institution that
34:15
Speaker 1: wants to pick him up or do business with him
34:18
Speaker 1: or anything like that at this point. At least I
34:20
Speaker 1: wouldn't think so. But who knows in the financial sector?
34:24
Speaker 1: You would think after the first go around with Epstein,
34:27
Speaker 1: he wouldn't have landed on his feet at Barclays. But
34:30
Speaker 1: here we are. Like I said, this is an article
34:33
Speaker 1: from the Evening Standard. And the author of this article
34:38
Speaker 1: is Simon English. Headline. Barclays poised to reveal what it
34:43
Speaker 1: paid Jess Staley as he left over Epstein's scandal. The
34:47
Speaker 1: bank annual report is due out tomorrow, Wednesday. How much
34:53
Speaker 1: money did Barclays pay to Jess Staley as he exited
34:56
Speaker 1: the bank, owing to some unpleasant business with disgraced financier
35:00
Speaker 1: and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein? Now that's definitely a huge question.
35:04
Speaker 1: And again, it'll be an obscene amount when we find
35:07
Speaker 1: out the actual number. It'll be an amount where you
35:11
Speaker 1: say to yourself, must be nice. Must be nice to
35:14
Speaker 1: run around and be a scumbag and be rewarded for it.
35:18
Speaker 1: Imagine being so shitty at your job, somebody was willing
35:21
Speaker 1: to give you millions and millions of dollars to kick
35:24
Speaker 1: rocks and leave. That's basically what's going on here with
35:28
Speaker 1: Jess Daly. Look, bro, you're such a pariah. You're such
35:32
Speaker 1: an embarrassment because of your behavior, because of your friendship
35:35
Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein that we're going to give you this
35:38
Speaker 1: big fat ass bag of dough and we want you
35:41
Speaker 1: to leave. The bank has results and an annual report
35:46
Speaker 1: out tomorrow. So we'll find out then, assuming it doesn't
35:50
Speaker 1: mysteriously leak before then, of course. And I haven't seen
35:54
Speaker 1: anything about the payout yet, so I'm guessing it hasn't leaked,
35:58
Speaker 1: but maybe it's out there somewhere. Again, tomorrow when we
36:03
Speaker 1: get those annuals, we'll have a better idea. But this
36:06
Speaker 1: guy is, it's just absurd. The whole entire thing is absurd.
36:12
Speaker 1: Why a payoff? Well, I could be wrong, but the
36:15
Speaker 1: wording of the statement at the time strongly suggests that
36:19
Speaker 1: money will have changed hands. Of course, again, this guy
36:22
Speaker 1: isn't walking out of the place and not getting any money.
36:28
Speaker 1: He's not walking out of this huge, gigantic job of
36:32
Speaker 1: his and not getting paid. That's just not, that's not reality.
36:37
Speaker 1: Even when these guys do scumbag, disgusting activities with other scumbags,
36:42
Speaker 1: they're protected most times by the language in their contracts.
36:47
Speaker 1: And most of these guys, when you're talking about this
36:49
Speaker 1: level of executive, they have golden parachutes even when they
36:54
Speaker 1: screw up, even when they act the fool. Barclays and
37:02
Speaker 1: Staley parted company last November after receiving the early conclusions
37:07
Speaker 1: of an investigation by the Financial Conduct Authority into how
37:11
Speaker 1: he had characterized his relationship with Epstein. And again, if
37:15
Speaker 1: you're getting jettisoned for a fat bag of dough over
37:20
Speaker 1: the prelims in the report, you got to think that
37:23
Speaker 1: that report is just atrocious. And the things that that
37:28
Speaker 1: report's talking about are not going to be a good
37:30
Speaker 1: look for Barclays and especially for Jess Staley himself. The
37:36
Speaker 1: watchdog thinks he didn't quite tell everything he should. In
37:39
Speaker 1: other words, Staley plans to fight the regulators. Oh, of
37:46
Speaker 1: course he does. Guys like this, their hubris knows no bounds, folks.
37:50
Speaker 1: He's not going to sit back and just let the
37:52
Speaker 1: regulators try and label him or put him in a
37:55
Speaker 1: box as one of Jeffrey Epstein's friends, even though he is,
37:59
Speaker 1: even though all of the evidence points that way. Barclays
38:06
Speaker 1: said at the time, in view of those conclusions and Mr.
38:09
Speaker 1: Staley's intention to contest them, the board and Mr. Staley
38:13
Speaker 1: have agreed that he will step down from his role
38:15
Speaker 1: as group chief executive and as a director of Barclays.
38:20
Speaker 1: So basically what they're saying is you decided you wanted
38:23
Speaker 1: to fight these findings in the regulations. We're not standing
38:27
Speaker 1: beside you. We're not standing up and saying, hey, look,
38:30
Speaker 1: he has an argument here. He has been wronged. And
38:33
Speaker 1: they have access to all of this. They're the ones
38:35
Speaker 1: who initiated their own internal investigation as well. So for
38:40
Speaker 1: Jess Staley, it is definitely an Armageddon type situation for
38:45
Speaker 1: this dude, as far as his career goes at Barclays anyway.
38:51
Speaker 1: It added, the board is disappointed at this outcome. Mr.
38:54
Speaker 1: Staley has run the Barclays group successfully since December 2015
38:59
Speaker 1: with real commitment and skill. Yeah, well, before that, what
39:02
Speaker 1: was he doing? Oh, that's right. Helping Jeffrey Epstein pillage
39:06
Speaker 1: money and put money offshore, stash money, look the other
39:10
Speaker 1: way when he knew what the source of Epstein's money is. Obviously,
39:14
Speaker 1: without a real investigation into all of this, you know,
39:17
Speaker 1: forensic accountants and the rest of it, we'll never get
39:20
Speaker 1: to the bottom of it. But how much more evidence
39:24
Speaker 1: do you need here? It's rather obvious what Jess Daly's
39:28
Speaker 1: operation is. was when it comes to hanging out with Epstein,
39:32
Speaker 1: what his purpose was. Staley was paid £ 4 million in
39:39
Speaker 1: 2020 and nearer £ 6 million in 2019. So the guy
39:43
Speaker 1: has already made a killing of a shit ton of
39:45
Speaker 1: money working for Barclays. Never should have had that job
39:48
Speaker 1: in the first place. but somehow people like this always
39:52
Speaker 1: seem to land on their feet, don't they? It's like
39:55
Speaker 1: the bad coaches in football, like I always say, these
39:59
Speaker 1: retread football coaches. Somehow you have never had a winning season,
40:03
Speaker 1: but now all of a sudden you're supposed to be
40:06
Speaker 1: a winning coach and you're going to be the guy
40:08
Speaker 1: that leads the team to victory? It's the same kind
40:12
Speaker 1: of nonsense here. Jess Staley, while a decent businessman, obviously,
40:16
Speaker 1: and good at what he does, I would guess... That
40:19
Speaker 1: doesn't get rid of the baggage that he brings with him.
40:22
Speaker 1: And anybody who is paying attention to what's going on
40:25
Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein and Staley's relationship with Epstein, it's rather
40:31
Speaker 1: obvious that these dudes were way close. And that should
40:33
Speaker 1: have set off all kinds of alarm bells at Barclays.
40:39
Speaker 1: Whether the amount paid is purely a contractual obligation or not,
40:43
Speaker 1: it is plainly going to attract headlines. If somehow the
40:46
Speaker 1: amount is zero, what does that say about what else
40:49
Speaker 1: is in the FCA investigation? And that's a big point, too.
40:54
Speaker 1: If it's nothing and he doesn't get any money out
40:57
Speaker 1: of this, that would mean that there is something seriously
41:00
Speaker 1: egregious that has been found in this investigation. And if
41:04
Speaker 1: that's the case, boy, I'll tell you what. Jeff Staley
41:07
Speaker 1: is in for an even worse ride than I might
41:11
Speaker 1: have assumed. Because if it's that bad and that egregious,
41:15
Speaker 1: the stuff that is found in this report, he will never,
41:18
Speaker 1: ever work again. Now, obviously, dude has more money than
41:22
Speaker 1: he'll ever know what to do with, but he'll never
41:25
Speaker 1: be able to facilitate these scumbags ever again, and I
41:29
Speaker 1: look at that as a bit of a victory at least.
41:34
Speaker 1: The FT reported last year that Staley exchanged 1,200 emails
41:38
Speaker 1: with Epstein over four years. Maybe this is just because
41:42
Speaker 1: Staley is a chatty, indeed likable guy. Eh, negative, okay?
41:46
Speaker 1: We know that's not the case. I mean, look, you
41:48
Speaker 1: want to give him the benefit of the doubt, and
41:50
Speaker 1: for somebody who doesn't follow the Epstein case, or who
41:53
Speaker 1: doesn't follow this whole entire situation, yeah, you could look
41:58
Speaker 1: at it as maybe them just being friends or acquaintances
42:01
Speaker 1: or whatever. But when you dig deeper and you see
42:05
Speaker 1: all of the different factors that went into their relationship,
42:11
Speaker 1: Staley going to the island to visit, all of the
42:13
Speaker 1: rest of it, it's very hard for me to look
42:16
Speaker 1: at it and say, oh, this was just a purely
42:18
Speaker 1: business relationship. And even if it was, this dude was
42:22
Speaker 1: facilitating all kinds of shady-ass money moves. Stop talking, mate,
42:33
Speaker 1: one was sometimes inclined to think. I thought I knew him,
42:37
Speaker 1: plainly I did not, is what Staley said to me
42:40
Speaker 1: about Epstein at an earlier juncture. Look, guys like Epstein,
42:45
Speaker 1: you don't really ever know guys like Epstein, okay? His
42:48
Speaker 1: idea is you're never going to get to know him.
42:51
Speaker 1: You're going to be used as a tool, manipulated, and
42:56
Speaker 1: positioned in a place that's going to help Epstein with
42:59
Speaker 1: whatever his designs are. That he stayed in touch after
43:13
Speaker 1: Epstein had a conviction for sex offenses doesn't say much
43:16
Speaker 1: for his judgment. Though, perhaps, he is just, as he
43:20
Speaker 1: also once said, accident-prone. Yeah, I guess that's it. You know,
43:24
Speaker 1: just an accident-prone guy. I had no idea that I
43:27
Speaker 1: was hanging out with Epstein. I just happened to fall
43:30
Speaker 1: into this relationship, and I couldn't, you know, extract myself
43:34
Speaker 1: from it. What? The guy is another, look, another buffoon,
43:40
Speaker 1: and I am... Not so much anymore, but I used
43:44
Speaker 1: to be so shocked that these people in these such
43:47
Speaker 1: powerful positions are such buffoons. The shame of it is,
43:52
Speaker 1: he was a very good chief executive. Profits tomorrow of
43:56
Speaker 1: perhaps 8 billion pounds will speak to that. At Investec,
44:00
Speaker 1: Ian Gordon headed his latest note on Barclays, harvesting Jess's
44:05
Speaker 1: rich legacy. Last night, Sky News reported that Barclays has
44:09
Speaker 1: frozen millions in share awards to Staley, while the FCA
44:13
Speaker 1: probe continues. So he's not getting any of this dough
44:17
Speaker 1: as of right now. And even though he was at
44:19
Speaker 1: the helm and led them to some big gains, he's
44:22
Speaker 1: not going to reap any of those benefits, at least
44:25
Speaker 1: right now. Now, we don't know what's going to happen
44:28
Speaker 1: in the future with the report and him challenging all
44:31
Speaker 1: of this. That can all change and he can walk
44:34
Speaker 1: away with a gigantic chunk of change, no doubt about it.
44:38
Speaker 1: But we'll have to see. So it may be that
44:44
Speaker 1: he gets a flat 12 months pay, two and a
44:46
Speaker 1: half million pounds with the rest on hold. He holds
44:50
Speaker 1: shares worth more than 20 million pounds. plainly Barclays would
44:54
Speaker 1: rather we focus on what it hasn't given Staley, at
44:57
Speaker 1: least yet, rather than what it has. Well, that goes
45:01
Speaker 1: without saying. Look, Barclays doesn't need the bad publicity. They
45:06
Speaker 1: don't need people like me talking about this. But unfortunately
45:09
Speaker 1: for them, they hired this idiot. They hired this boob.
45:14
Speaker 1: And it wasn't like he didn't have the stench of
45:16
Speaker 1: Epstein hanging off of him. It wasn't like he was,
45:19
Speaker 1: you know, somebody who wasn't a known associate. a known
45:23
Speaker 1: enabler of Jeffrey Epstein when they hired him. Neither Barclays
45:30
Speaker 1: nor a representative for Jess Staley had any comment, and
45:35
Speaker 1: they definitely won't. They're not in the business of giving
45:39
Speaker 1: comments out when there are stories like this on the
45:42
Speaker 1: horizon or stories like this that are breaking. Not really
45:45
Speaker 1: interested in speaking to the media. But that's where we're
45:50
Speaker 1: at with Jess Staley, folks. And this whole situation with
45:53
Speaker 1: his pay and how much is going to get froze,
45:56
Speaker 1: how much he's going to get, very, very interesting. Because
46:00
Speaker 1: it does give us a bit of a tell on
46:02
Speaker 1: what is in that report. If he comes away with nothing,
46:06
Speaker 1: that's definitely a huge sign that this report is going
46:09
Speaker 1: to be all bad for him. Now, I don't think
46:12
Speaker 1: that's going to happen. I'm pretty sure he's going to
46:14
Speaker 1: walk away with some money now. Probably some fazools frozen
46:19
Speaker 1: on the back end there. And eventually he'll be made
46:21
Speaker 1: whole because these guys always get made whole in the end.
46:25
Speaker 1: But it's nice to see him sweating a little bit
46:27
Speaker 1: right now. And at the very least, having to answer
46:31
Speaker 1: for his enabling of Jeffrey Epstein, at least in this
46:34
Speaker 1: small little way. Alright folks, that's going to do it
46:39
Speaker 1: for tonight's update. Coming your way, some context episodes and
46:45
Speaker 1: an episode about the situation... in Ukraine right now between
46:49
Speaker 1: Russia and Ukraine. So we have that on the way
46:54
Speaker 1: as well. And tomorrow, right back at it, same old schedule.
