- 0:08Speaker 2: Way after the UK. Gavin Greg good morning to you
- 0:11Speaker 2: hither Andrew. What a good job it is to be
- 0:14Speaker 2: Prince Harry's lawyer because he's in court a lot.
- 0:18Speaker 1: He is, and it seems to be one of the
- 0:20Speaker 1: few reasons he comes back to the UK at the moment.
- 0:23Speaker 1: I don't think it's going to help his popularity, but
- 0:25Speaker 1: he's back in court this time the Court of Appeal
- 0:28Speaker 1: to challenge an earlier High Court decision which went against him.
- 0:31Speaker 1: This is all about the level of security he receives
- 0:35Speaker 1: when he's in the UK. Now. The committee that sits
- 0:38Speaker 1: to decide on this automatically, of course, gives security to
- 0:42Speaker 1: working royals. He is no longer a working royal and
- 0:46Speaker 1: so the Duke's security in the UK is currently decided
- 0:49Speaker 1: on a case by case basis, like any other high
- 0:52Speaker 1: profile visitor to the UK. Prince Harry sat in the
- 0:55Speaker 1: back of the court today with a notepad and pen.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I didn't give evidence. It's a two day hearing and
- 1:01Speaker 1: then the decision will be made at a later date. Interestingly,
- 1:05Speaker 1: his legal representative saying that he should have been told
- 1:09Speaker 1: how the decisions about security were being made. She's not
- 1:13Speaker 1: arguing that he should automatically be entitled to the same
- 1:16Speaker 1: protection he was previously given anyway. Prince Harry claimed that
- 1:19Speaker 1: he had not been given the chance to make his
- 1:21Speaker 1: own case or see the risk assessments, and also outline
- 1:25Speaker 1: some incidents that had happened which he says was a
- 1:29Speaker 1: danger because his security had been downgraded, including a car
- 1:32Speaker 1: pursuit with paparazzi in New York so that's not the UK,
- 1:37Speaker 1: and also al Qaeda calling for the Prince to be
- 1:40Speaker 1: murdered back in twenty twenty. As I said a decision
- 1:42Speaker 1: would be made at a later date.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Andrew, Well, I wish him lack but when he quit
- 1:46Speaker 2: the job, basically he's ended up being just the same
- 1:48Speaker 2: as Brad Pitton, Taylor Swift, So you know what could
- 1:51Speaker 2: he expect anyway. The big story around the world the
- 1:55Speaker 2: tariffs and the reaction on the sheer markets and the
- 1:58Speaker 2: stop market. So European Indsey rose what three percent after
- 2:02Speaker 2: the week of tariff, So is a bit of a rebound, Yes.
- 2:05Speaker 1: A little bit of a rebound obviously awaiting this big
- 2:08Speaker 1: decision day now on the tariff war as it were
- 2:11Speaker 1: between the US and China, and for US on the sideline, well, yeah,
- 2:15Speaker 1: more positive territory today. The foot Sea one hundred up
- 2:19Speaker 1: two point seven percent, the CAC forty in Paris up
- 2:22Speaker 1: two point five percent, the Dack's up two and a
- 2:25Speaker 1: half percent. But when you look at how they've gone down,
- 2:29Speaker 1: all the three indices reached their record highs last month
- 2:33Speaker 1: since then, the foot Sea one hundred down eleven percent,
- 2:37Speaker 1: the CAC in Paris down fourteen percent, and the same
- 2:40Speaker 1: for the Dacks down fourteen percent. So huge losses. And
- 2:43Speaker 1: although today, yes, some positive news, well I'm afraid there's
- 2:48Speaker 1: an awful long way to go besween these share values
- 2:50Speaker 1: actually start to recover significantly.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Yes, and to figure out the whole ramifications of you're
- 2:55Speaker 2: a very wise man for saying that, and I thank
- 2:56Speaker 2: you for your time today. Getn Gray out of the UK.
