For many, the teaching on sex is the worst thing about Christianity. Churches have sometimes been cold, controlling, and harsh. Yet when we look around the secular world, things don't feel quite right either, whether it’s abuse and horrors in the headlines or heartbreak and betrayal in our own lives. The biblical invitation offers us a gorgeous alternative to both approaches to sexuality. It presents something that is neither total repression nor expression. Instead, it offers a vision of pleasure, passion, and devotion that flows from God's very essence.
