- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio. Hey everybody,
- 0:05Speaker 1: it's the almost famous OG's podcast. This is Trista and today. Wow,
- 0:11Speaker 1: we have a lot to talk about the Golden Bachelor
- 0:16Speaker 1: season two finale and AFR was just last night. I
- 0:22Speaker 1: don't know when this episode is coming out, but it
- 0:24Speaker 1: was recent. I could not think of anyone. I actually
- 0:27Speaker 1: couldn't think of anyone better to recap the episode with
- 0:32Speaker 1: and discuss all of what happened on Golden Bachelor Season one.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Please welcome Teresa Nist. All right, So, Teresa, you were
- 0:41Speaker 1: there in the audience last night, and I assume because
- 0:44Speaker 1: you were in the audience that you watched the whole season.
- 0:48Speaker 1: What were your overall thoughts?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Yes, I watched the whole season. I will say that
- 0:53Speaker 2: this season was so different from season one, and I
- 0:57Speaker 2: was trying to try to understand why, and I think
- 1:01Speaker 2: it was that we were so emotionally involved with season
- 1:05Speaker 2: one and why not. Only I know that there was
- 1:09Speaker 2: loss on this one and that's very sad, but on ours,
- 1:13Speaker 2: not only did the lead lose his wife, but there
- 1:15Speaker 2: was so many women who lost their spouses and Leslie
- 1:19Speaker 2: lost her dad. And I was when I came home.
- 1:22Speaker 2: I was watching the episode and I was blown away
- 1:25Speaker 2: because if you'll recall, it starts out where there's complete silence,
- 1:31Speaker 2: and then Gary puts in his hearing aid and then
- 1:34Speaker 2: they have Kat Stevens the wind and it's phenomenal and
- 1:38Speaker 2: it immediately like sucks you in. And so the lead
- 1:43Speaker 2: was emotional. The whole experience was just emotional. So this
- 1:47Speaker 2: one it just it just seemed like Mel was very guarded,
- 1:51Speaker 2: and I think that's a popular opinion that he held
- 1:55Speaker 2: so much in and he wasn't as vulnerable as he
- 1:58Speaker 2: could have been.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Totally agree. That is such a good way to put it.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Your season was emotional. There was emotion in it, you know,
- 2:09Speaker 1: like we were all emotional going along for the ride
- 2:12Speaker 1: and knowing that Gary had lost his wife and you
- 2:15Speaker 1: know so many people had as well and went through
- 2:18Speaker 1: all of you know, all of these ups and downs.
- 2:22Speaker 1: You're so right. That definitely puts a lot in perspective
- 2:26Speaker 1: for me because I have been thinking about what was missing,
- 2:30Speaker 1: and that is a great way, great way to put it.
- 2:35Speaker 1: He was very guarden and I think we were just
- 2:38Speaker 1: talking about this before you came on or before we
- 2:40Speaker 1: opened up that I think now after talking to Heather,
- 2:47Speaker 1: our producer, that he was so guarded because he spoke
- 2:53Speaker 1: before the show even started about how he wanted to
- 2:57Speaker 1: have you know, women forty five to sixty on that podcast,
- 3:01Speaker 1: and I think because there was such a lash, you know,
- 3:06Speaker 1: people were were not happy with that statement. I think
- 3:11Speaker 1: he because he said something and he was like, oh,
- 3:16Speaker 1: I can't say exactly what's on my mind because it
- 3:19Speaker 1: will be used against me.
- 3:21Speaker 2: You are so right, So he was so afraid to
- 3:24Speaker 2: say anything. You're right, trus yes, So he was censoring everything.
- 3:29Speaker 2: He was saying, my gosh, don't say that, even if
- 3:31Speaker 2: I'm thinking that that's the wrong thing to say.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, I think he was really And I do
- 3:39Speaker 1: empathize with that or sympathize with that because for my season,
- 3:46Speaker 1: you know, being the first bachelorette, I had a lot
- 3:49Speaker 1: of press, you know, saying, oh, she's going to look
- 3:52Speaker 1: like a slut and you know she's going to come
- 3:55Speaker 1: across as a whore because it's her in twenty five
- 3:58Speaker 1: guys instead of one guy twenty five girls, which I'm like, whatever, Wow. Anyway,
- 4:03Speaker 1: so I was called every name in the book, and
- 4:05Speaker 1: I think I went into it and did the opposite
- 4:08Speaker 1: and was like, I'm not gonna kiss anybody like right
- 4:10Speaker 1: out the gate, you know, I'm gonna try to try
- 4:13Speaker 1: to be aged. And I feel like in a way,
- 4:19Speaker 1: I was definitely guarded in terms of like being physical
- 4:23Speaker 1: with people and it just took more time, which was fine.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Obviously it all worked out for me. But I think
- 4:30Speaker 1: it makes sense why if something happens like that, you
- 4:34Speaker 1: feel like, oh crap, I can't I can't truly speak
- 4:39Speaker 1: from the heart because I might get myself in trouble,
- 4:43Speaker 1: you know.
- 4:45Speaker 2: To start the whole thing. And maybe he looked at
- 4:48Speaker 2: what Gary did, like Gary said I love you to
- 4:50Speaker 2: so many women, and maybe he made a promise to
- 4:53Speaker 2: himself in the beginning to say I'm not saying that,
- 4:56Speaker 2: I'm not doing that. I'm going to keep it for
- 4:58Speaker 2: the end. So there could be so many things going
- 5:02Speaker 2: through his mind and censoring himself. And so you're right,
- 5:06Speaker 2: I didn't think of your perspective.
- 5:08Speaker 1: But it's also interesting because I don't know that he
- 5:12Speaker 1: thinks that he censored himself.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Hmmm, Yeah, I think you're right, Like he wouldn't. He
- 5:17Speaker 2: probably wouldn't agree with.
- 5:18Speaker 1: That because I don't think he would.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Yeah, he probably thought that he had this really open
- 5:23Speaker 2: mind and an open heart, but we see him as
- 5:27Speaker 2: very guarded. It almost seems sometimes like he's there against
- 5:31Speaker 2: his will, like I'm just not going to go along
- 5:34Speaker 2: with the program. And so I am sure a great
- 5:37Speaker 2: sense of humor. I'm sure that he's much more energetic
- 5:40Speaker 2: than he came across, and that's what's going on here.
- 5:43Speaker 2: So it's too bad that happened. And I'm sorry that
- 5:46Speaker 2: happened to him, and he was, you know, just speaking.
- 5:50Speaker 2: You probably thought no one was going to hear that,
- 5:52Speaker 2: and maybe he really truly didn't know what the age
- 5:56Speaker 2: parameters were. He didn't know that, so.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I mean I do feel like also he
- 6:01Speaker 1: should have been like smacked on the back of the
- 6:04Speaker 1: hand for that, because it's not you know, when you're
- 6:07Speaker 1: going into the Golden Bachelor and we're talking about women
- 6:10Speaker 1: in their golden years and people like you and Leslie
- 6:13Speaker 1: and all the people from this season and all the
- 6:15Speaker 1: people from last season, like you shouldn't be you should
- 6:20Speaker 1: be put in your place if you're an agist, you know,
- 6:22Speaker 1: Like I think it was right that people felt, I mean,
- 6:29Speaker 1: please all of the women, pretty much, every single one
- 6:32Speaker 1: of them, when they came out of the limo, they
- 6:34Speaker 1: said something to him about that comment. So I feel
- 6:38Speaker 1: like he should have been put in his place because
- 6:40Speaker 1: that was not appropriate. But I think he got a
- 6:44Speaker 1: lesson real quick in needing to think about what you say.
- 6:49Speaker 2: No, I say it right. I think enough of the
- 6:52Speaker 2: women said something and then he was roasted, so I
- 6:55Speaker 2: think he paid his yeares.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes, agreed. Okay, So were you surprised about
- 7:03Speaker 1: anything that happened during the finale.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I was surprised that they asked Gary for his opinion,
- 7:09Speaker 2: so just kidding. No, honestly, it's my opinion than no.
- 7:19Speaker 1: No, hey, hey, you have every right to see that girlfriend.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I would think that maybe I was surprised by Cindy
- 7:26Speaker 2: saying like backing out, but you know what, I was
- 7:28Speaker 2: more surprised by after she backs out. I think the
- 7:32Speaker 2: whole audience is feeling sorry for Peg. Oh my god,
- 7:35Speaker 2: she's there now by default, poor Peg. And I think
- 7:39Speaker 2: they handled that so well. They didn't make it.
- 7:42Speaker 1: You think Mel handled it well, okay, and Peg got it.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Right, and that it seemed to be she was meant
- 7:49Speaker 2: to be there and it wasn't by default whatsoever. Because
- 7:53Speaker 2: I think the whole audience may have been afraid that
- 7:55Speaker 2: that's what the feeling would be and it wasn't.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, no, I agree with that. I am very
- 8:03Speaker 1: very happy for peg. I love her and I have
- 8:06Speaker 1: never met her. I loved her on the show, and
- 8:09Speaker 1: everyone deserves love. I just have to say, and I
- 8:13Speaker 1: am definitely interested to get your thoughts, especially because I
- 8:18Speaker 1: want to hear how the audience reacted. But what went
- 8:22Speaker 1: down with Cindy just did not vibe well with me
- 8:26Speaker 1: at all.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I felt the same way you mean, you mean
- 8:31Speaker 2: from Mel's perspective.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Yes, for what he did, Like I you know, she
- 8:37Speaker 1: on the beach on the dock, you know, she's saying,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you know, I envisioned us committing to each other. You know,
- 8:48Speaker 1: she was talking about how she was going to move
- 8:50Speaker 1: to move to California and leave Austin, even though she's
- 8:56Speaker 1: got her girls there and you know, really come to
- 9:00Speaker 1: him and even get her own place. Like it wasn't
- 9:03Speaker 1: like a pressure situation and he couldn't give her that.
- 9:07Speaker 1: And then when they were on stage, I felt like
- 9:12Speaker 1: he was just talking in circles and like blaming her
- 9:16Speaker 1: for the fact that she left, but the fact that
- 9:20Speaker 1: she left. In my mind, she left because he was
- 9:25Speaker 1: not giving her what she felt like she needed. And
- 9:28Speaker 1: when she said, sorry, I'm talking so much, I'm just
- 9:32Speaker 1: so rived up about the episode. So when she said
- 9:37Speaker 1: that she wanted a guy to be hit by lightning
- 9:41Speaker 1: when or something like that, she wanted her guy to
- 9:46Speaker 1: feel like so excited to see her and like hit
- 9:49Speaker 1: by lightning and so excited about their relationship and in
- 9:54Speaker 1: love with her. You know, that's what all of us want,
- 9:57Speaker 1: right exactly, That's.
- 9:59Speaker 2: What we all want. But it could have been that
- 10:01Speaker 2: he decided in his mind that there was no way
- 10:04Speaker 2: he was going to let that loose until the end.
- 10:07Speaker 2: And I think in his mind, and I know, and
- 10:09Speaker 2: I'm totally feeling what you're feeling, and she and I
- 10:13Speaker 2: do totally agree with her that that was She went
- 10:18Speaker 2: into this earnestly thinking that that was the end goal,
- 10:21Speaker 2: that they were going to get engaged, and she was
- 10:23Speaker 2: ready to do it. And he's saying, no, not necessarily.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I don't think that there's necessarily a wedding or a
- 10:29Speaker 2: marriage at the end, but who knows. I'd like to
- 10:32Speaker 2: think who knows what would have happened if they went
- 10:34Speaker 2: into the fantasy suite where he could have been himself,
- 10:37Speaker 2: and you don't know if at the end he would
- 10:40Speaker 2: have been blown away and said, I love you, I
- 10:43Speaker 2: love you so much, I want to marry you. I
- 10:45Speaker 2: do want to marry you, and that would have been
- 10:48Speaker 2: that could have happened. So but she decided she wasn't
- 10:52Speaker 2: seeing that enough at that point in the progression of
- 10:55Speaker 2: the relationship, and she didn't. He wanted to see it through,
- 11:00Speaker 2: you know, he wanted he needed both fantasy suites, both
- 11:03Speaker 2: behind doors, to get that real conversation. And I think
- 11:07Speaker 2: he felt cheated out of it, but she wasn't feeling
- 11:11Speaker 2: it ahead of time. So they're both valid in their feelings,
- 11:15Speaker 2: and she has every right to feel that this she
- 11:19Speaker 2: was somewhat maybe deceived, like I expected that there would
- 11:23Speaker 2: be a commitment and a marriage and a wedding at
- 11:26Speaker 2: the end of this, and especially an engagement. But in
- 11:29Speaker 2: his mind, no, not necessarily. And again I have to say,
- 11:33Speaker 2: was he deterred by what happened on a previous season?
- 11:38Speaker 2: Did that happen to him? Did he say, I don't
- 11:41Speaker 2: want that to happen to me, so I don't want
- 11:43Speaker 2: to make any promises. I can't keep and I really
- 11:47Speaker 2: do think perhaps if she had just let things go
- 11:50Speaker 2: naturally the way that you should have progressed, it might
- 11:53Speaker 2: have worked out. But then again, I don't blame her
- 11:56Speaker 2: for taking that stand and feeling the way she did
- 11:59Speaker 2: and and saying what she said, and that was right
- 12:03Speaker 2: for her, and that was true for her, and so
- 12:06Speaker 2: she left, and I felt that he thought there was
- 12:09Speaker 2: no way I could get her back. She was very determined,
- 12:12Speaker 2: and maybe he also did want to be rejected twice too,
- 12:16Speaker 2: not up.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Doom may Yeah, yeah, true. No. I just feel like, yes,
- 12:24Speaker 1: she said no, but part of me thinks that she
- 12:29Speaker 1: didn't just say no because he didn't want the commitment
- 12:33Speaker 1: in the end that she was looking for. I think
- 12:36Speaker 1: also it seemed like on that doc that she was
- 12:40Speaker 1: looking for anything from him to say, I am excited
- 12:45Speaker 1: about our potential future, you know, like he was giving her,
- 12:50Speaker 1: at least from what we saw, because so much of
- 12:52Speaker 1: it ends up on the cutting room floor. At least
- 12:55Speaker 1: from what we saw, it did not seem like he
- 12:59Speaker 1: was giving her any validation that that she was a
- 13:06Speaker 1: potential person at the end for him, Do you know
- 13:08Speaker 1: what I mean?
- 13:09Speaker 2: Absolutely, I do agree with you that he showed her nothing,
- 13:12Speaker 2: and I really and I'm thinking it could have been
- 13:16Speaker 2: that that he was holding it back for the fantasy
- 13:19Speaker 2: suites or end, for the end. It almost seemed like
- 13:22Speaker 2: he really did make a promise to himself that he
- 13:24Speaker 2: wasn't going to say anything. He wasn't going to say
- 13:27Speaker 2: I love you to anyone, and he was afraid. So
- 13:29Speaker 2: what if what if he had done that? What if
- 13:31Speaker 2: he had said I'm nuts about you, I think I
- 13:35Speaker 2: think the world of you, then that would have looked
- 13:38Speaker 2: like he made a decision that it was I get it.
- 13:40Speaker 2: So to think back on anything else any other season
- 13:44Speaker 2: and when there were two, So there's a Golden Bachelor
- 13:47Speaker 2: and a Golden Bachelorette, So what happened on the house?
- 13:50Speaker 2: So in the Golden Bachelor it was said, you know, so, yeah,
- 13:55Speaker 2: how did that end up?
- 13:56Speaker 1: But so I thought this and are my producer are
- 14:00Speaker 1: just uh confirmed it for me? He didn't watch the
- 14:03Speaker 1: shows previously.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Oh he didn't, so okay, so throw that out the window.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Yeah, he doesn't know anything of your history or of
- 14:11Speaker 1: Jones at least I'm sure maybe he knows what happened
- 14:16Speaker 1: in the end, but he did not watch the show.
- 14:19Speaker 1: So I don't. I don't believe that he knows that
- 14:22Speaker 1: Gary was you know, telling multiple people, but I you know,
- 14:27Speaker 1: I just feel like with Cindy going back to it
- 14:30Speaker 1: just for one last time, I feel like when you
- 14:33Speaker 1: don't get that validation, then you're like, well, why should
- 14:36Speaker 1: I be here anyway? Like what's going to change? If
- 14:40Speaker 1: you're not giving me any kind of validation, then why
- 14:43Speaker 1: should I? Why should I go to the fantasy sweet
- 14:46Speaker 1: Like I don't want I don't want to be in
- 14:48Speaker 1: the room with you anymore if you're not even willing
- 14:51Speaker 1: to say, like I'm totally into you, do you know
- 14:54Speaker 1: what I mean? Like that that's a big step, especially
- 14:57Speaker 1: because her daughters are watching, and you know, like I
- 15:01Speaker 1: just feel like that's kind of a big step for people,
- 15:04Speaker 1: and you need to feel something going into the fantasy suite,
- 15:08Speaker 1: like you know, we yes, we want to be able
- 15:12Speaker 1: to talk, but you know, if if we're just gonna
- 15:16Speaker 1: sit there and and talk about how you're not into me, Lynn,
- 15:20Speaker 1: what's the point?
- 15:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right, she got nothing from them, right, so
- 15:27Speaker 2: tell her I don't know and yes and so and
- 15:31Speaker 2: and maybe I would have felt the same way, like
- 15:33Speaker 2: she's he's not getting me anything.
- 15:35Speaker 1: What am I going to do with Yeah, I guess
- 15:37Speaker 1: what I'm saying is I am proud of her for
- 15:40Speaker 1: and you know, I can't be proud of her. I
- 15:42Speaker 1: don't know her, but I am proud of her as
- 15:45Speaker 1: someone in Bachelor Nation for standing up for herself and
- 15:50Speaker 1: not only doing that while the show was filming on
- 15:54Speaker 1: that doc but also I felt like last night, and
- 15:58Speaker 1: you tell me if it's seems like the whole air
- 16:01Speaker 1: and energy in the room was this way, but she
- 16:05Speaker 1: was a class act last night, And oh my gosh,
- 16:10Speaker 1: I was like, you go, like the fact that he
- 16:14Speaker 1: was running around in circles blaming her for leaving, not
- 16:17Speaker 1: taking any accountability for the fact that he gave her
- 16:21Speaker 1: nothing before Fantasy Suites, and was basically like, you know, no,
- 16:27Speaker 1: I don't take leaps of faith. Wait a second, you
- 16:30Speaker 1: signed up for the Golden Bachelor. That is a massive
- 16:33Speaker 1: leap of faith, Like massive, You're putting your life into
- 16:37Speaker 1: the hands of television producers that you've never met before.
- 16:41Speaker 1: That is a massive leap of faith. And so I
- 16:45Speaker 1: have a problem with the fact that he says he
- 16:47Speaker 1: doesn't have doesn't do that, but he was blaming her
- 16:52Speaker 1: for leaving and period, end of story. He took no
- 16:55Speaker 1: accountability for the fact that he was just giving her
- 16:58Speaker 1: no validation and and in my opinion, was gaslighting her.
- 17:02Speaker 1: And I don't know.
- 17:04Speaker 2: She said was so riveting and so strong, and yes,
- 17:08Speaker 2: the whole audience, the whole air changed, and so it
- 17:11Speaker 2: was really a moment, and it was absolutely wonderful that
- 17:14Speaker 2: she said what she said, and she was so strong
- 17:18Speaker 2: and yeah, she that's I think she spoke for a
- 17:22Speaker 2: lot of women and who went through the journey with
- 17:25Speaker 2: her and saw giving her anything, And she spoke for
- 17:30Speaker 2: a lot of women. And I did look around and
- 17:33Speaker 2: I saw everyone saying, yeah, you're right, You're absolutely right,
- 17:36Speaker 2: and maybe yeah, Mel needed to be told that. So yes,
- 17:40Speaker 2: absolutely strong, intelligent, wonderful woman. And she spoke up for
- 17:45Speaker 2: herself and said it so eloquently, so really.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Yeah, and she said and I do remember her saying,
- 17:53Speaker 1: what did she say? I don't need a man, I
- 17:56Speaker 1: don't need to convince Yeah, that's right, bather, I don't
- 17:59Speaker 1: need to convinced. I don't want to have to convince
- 18:02Speaker 1: a man to love me.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 18:04Speaker 1: That is exactly the sentiment that she put that into words.
- 18:07Speaker 1: That that is how I felt like she was feeling
- 18:10Speaker 1: on the dock, like she was feeling like she was
- 18:13Speaker 1: saying like, come on, like don't you want to like
- 18:17Speaker 1: talk about commitment in the future, And he was just
- 18:21Speaker 1: not giving her anything. And she's like, why am I
- 18:23Speaker 1: trying this hard? Like if he has to be convinced,
- 18:27Speaker 1: then there's there's a piece that's missing, and why should
- 18:31Speaker 1: I even go any further. You shouldn't have to convince
- 18:35Speaker 1: anyone to love you. If they love you, they love you,
- 18:39Speaker 1: and you can go from there. But I totally agree
- 18:43Speaker 1: with her.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Yes, And I actually said something very similar in a
- 18:46Speaker 2: podcast recently, did you what?
- 18:48Speaker 1: Did you say?
- 18:48Speaker 2: Anything very very similar. I said, I didn't need a
- 18:52Speaker 2: man to force himself to be with me. I don't
- 18:55Speaker 2: need that. I've been deeply loved in my life. I
- 18:57Speaker 2: don't need anyone to do it out of commitment. So
- 19:02Speaker 2: the same, the same thing, right, the same sentiment. So
- 19:05Speaker 2: she said it very strongly. It was a moment on TV.
- 19:09Speaker 2: It was, And I too don't know her, and I
- 19:12Speaker 2: would say I was proud of her for saying.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Which yes, so yeah, I'm so proud of her. So
- 19:28Speaker 1: the energy in the room was the energy in the room,
- 19:31Speaker 1: just palpable like in support of her. Yes, absolutely, you
- 19:35Speaker 1: were sitting next to Leslie. Yes, and then Debbie, is
- 19:39Speaker 1: that right.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Well, we were sitting. We were so lucky we were
- 19:42Speaker 2: sitting with all the women pretty much. I love the
- 19:45Speaker 2: master too. I have to say they were phenomenal. These
- 19:48Speaker 2: women were so warm and wonderful and welcoming and they
- 19:54Speaker 2: want to keep in touch with us, and we were
- 19:56Speaker 2: taking photos and we went out with them afterwards. I
- 19:59Speaker 2: thought for me that the night was the most rewarding
- 20:03Speaker 2: because of these women. I just believe. I just keep saying,
- 20:07Speaker 2: I keep thinking, like, keep going on and on and
- 20:09Speaker 2: on to form this whole entire group of women from
- 20:13Speaker 2: around the nation who are in sport of each other.
- 20:16Speaker 2: If it keeps going, we're going to have every woman
- 20:19Speaker 2: in this age group. And it's just it was amazing
- 20:22Speaker 2: to be in their company. The energy, the intellect, the warmth,
- 20:27Speaker 2: and so nobody and even those who were not edited
- 20:32Speaker 2: well or who didn't come across as well, were so
- 20:35Speaker 2: great in person.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Is that including Nicole because of wonderful reminds okay good.
- 20:42Speaker 1: We need to remind the listeners if they I'm sure
- 20:45Speaker 1: they know, but Nicole is the one who said that
- 20:48Speaker 1: she felt like your season, the first season of Golden Bachelor,
- 20:52Speaker 1: the women were not so cute and not great looking
- 20:58Speaker 1: at that what you said quote, oh gosh. So did
- 21:01Speaker 1: she address that at all with you and Leslie?
- 21:04Speaker 2: No, she didn't have to. She didn't say anything. Okay, good,
- 21:07Speaker 2: you know what it was.
- 21:07Speaker 1: You're so glass.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Yeah, we're not going to talk. We didn't go there,
- 21:11Speaker 2: and we know she didn't mean it. And she actually
- 21:15Speaker 2: I said, I shared a dinner with her and we
- 21:18Speaker 2: will the the same dinner.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:20Speaker 2: So and we two phone numbers. It was great.
- 21:22Speaker 1: So, okay, good. I love hearing that because you know me,
- 21:26Speaker 1: I'm all about my family, my Bachelor Nation family. I
- 21:30Speaker 1: don't want there to be anyone fighting.
- 21:33Speaker 2: No, that was great. We were so lucky that we
- 21:38Speaker 2: were in the middle of them. That was That was
- 21:39Speaker 2: the best part.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Of the night. And so that is so cute. I
- 21:42Speaker 1: love it.
- 21:43Speaker 2: And I'm surprised that Jesse didn't say, and Diana's here
- 21:47Speaker 2: because she wasn't at the women tell all.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I know, I love Diana. It's so cute. Okay, So
- 21:57Speaker 1: I need to address this. So Joan was on our
- 22:02Speaker 1: podcast I think earlier. Well maybe yes, yesterday or today.
- 22:06Speaker 1: She was talking about the finale AFR and she said
- 22:12Speaker 1: that you and Leslie were invited late, and she thought,
- 22:19Speaker 1: have you heard this? No, okay, anyway, she said that
- 22:23Speaker 1: you guys were She thought that you and Leslie were
- 22:27Speaker 1: invited late because possibly of all of the things that
- 22:34Speaker 1: are going on in the media with Gary's book and
- 22:39Speaker 1: you know, everything that you've discussed, which I do not
- 22:43Speaker 1: want to put you on the spot if you do
- 22:44Speaker 1: not want to talk, if you don't want to go there. Yeah,
- 22:48Speaker 1: we don't need to go there. But is that true
- 22:52Speaker 1: or you and Leslie like a late addition.
- 22:55Speaker 2: I don't know how late is late, but it was
- 22:57Speaker 2: about three weeks ago.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Yeah, that does not seemed late to wait to me.
- 23:01Speaker 2: No, it's like three weeks at all. So no, it's not. Yeah,
- 23:05Speaker 2: I don't think it had anything to do with Gary's book.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Not sure, I don't know, but yeah, we were No,
- 23:13Speaker 2: so it was it was about three weeks ago. And yeah,
- 23:16Speaker 2: I don't know when other people were invited. We have
- 23:19Speaker 2: no idea. We were very high.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Well, I think I think it came up, Jones said,
- 23:23Speaker 1: because no one else from the first season besides you
- 23:27Speaker 1: guys and Joan and uh not Chalk obviously and Gary
- 23:31Speaker 1: were the only people from your season. So I guess
- 23:34Speaker 1: that's why she thought that, maybe that's why you guys came.
- 23:38Speaker 2: But you know, I mean maybe it was intentional that
- 23:41Speaker 2: I would think that it's just me and Leslie because
- 23:44Speaker 2: it is topical, I mean, right, so that makes sense
- 23:48Speaker 2: that it would be Gary, me and Leslie and Sondra
- 23:51Speaker 2: because she was there with her sister Andra.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Sondra was there too. Yes, I did see her. Yes,
- 23:58Speaker 1: love Sondra.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Right. I think all the women of the second season
- 24:03Speaker 2: where they're on their own, that they were all, Yeah,
- 24:06Speaker 2: they all came of their own volition and.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, and Susan and Cathy were at the Women
- 24:14Speaker 1: tell all, so I don't think they would have come
- 24:17Speaker 1: back for that.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Yeah, so it made more sense they were part of
- 24:19Speaker 2: the shifts. That makes more sense. And so it was
- 24:22Speaker 2: great for leslian I to do that because we got
- 24:26Speaker 2: to meet these women and it's something we don't think
- 24:31Speaker 2: we would have been able to do without this opportunity,
- 24:35Speaker 2: without seeing them now and so yeah, yeah, that was
- 24:39Speaker 2: the best part of the entire But it's you know,
- 24:41Speaker 2: it's so exciting. It really is so exciting to go
- 24:44Speaker 2: to a finale like this. They make it wonderful. The
- 24:48Speaker 2: music is all pumped up, that all the audience is
- 24:50Speaker 2: pumped up. You're very excited to be there, So an
- 24:54Speaker 2: overall wonderful experience to be there. Yeah right now?
- 24:59Speaker 1: That yeah, me too, even though I'm just in Mountain
- 25:04Speaker 1: standard time, because I was just in La. I was
- 25:06Speaker 1: dancing with the stars the night that you guys, because
- 25:11Speaker 1: I asked when the AFR was going to be filming
- 25:14Speaker 1: to see if I could see everybody, but it didn't
- 25:16Speaker 1: work out because it was the exact same night anyway,
- 25:20Speaker 1: So I get it. I get the jet lag. Okay,
- 25:24Speaker 1: So Gary was in the audience. Was it uncomfortable for
- 25:27Speaker 1: you to see him?
- 25:29Speaker 2: Well, it was uncomfortable when we were all mulling around
- 25:34Speaker 2: before we went into the audience, because once we were
- 25:37Speaker 2: in the audience, I was seated far enough away from them,
- 25:41Speaker 2: and there was one time when it almost seemed as
- 25:44Speaker 2: though he was headed straight towards me. I don't know
- 25:46Speaker 2: if he was, but at least he was headed towards
- 25:49Speaker 2: my group of people, and I just walked the other way.
- 25:52Speaker 2: So yeah, I didn't need to have an account encounter.
- 25:56Speaker 2: I want him to a wonderful life and live his
- 25:59Speaker 2: life and happy, but I don't have to be a
- 26:02Speaker 2: part of it.
- 26:02Speaker 1: So yeah, I totally get that. Good for you. Yeah, okay.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Can I ask one question about the book? Is that okay?
- 26:11Speaker 1: And if you don't want to answer, you just you
- 26:13Speaker 1: just say shut it, Trista, you just you just put
- 26:19Speaker 1: me in my place.
- 26:20Speaker 2: I will say this that I did not plan to
- 26:22Speaker 2: talk about the book any anymore. But yes, please ask
- 26:25Speaker 2: me the question and we'll see that totally.
- 26:27Speaker 1: And and like I said, if you do not feel
- 26:29Speaker 1: comfortable answering, you know, you can tell me just I
- 26:33Speaker 1: would rather not, okay, I just want to know, yes,
- 26:37Speaker 1: if how you're feeling about well, actually I have two questions, sorry,
- 26:44Speaker 1: and you can say no to both of them or
- 26:46Speaker 1: yes to both of them however you feel okay, okay.
- 26:49Speaker 1: So he has been in the press talking about the
- 26:54Speaker 1: book doing you know, book tour stuff and basic you know,
- 27:01Speaker 1: discussed some things and I think there's a big he said.
- 27:06Speaker 1: She said, you know, like he'll say something and he's like,
- 27:09Speaker 1: oh no, she's not telling the truth. It's so you know,
- 27:12Speaker 1: there are, as they say, three sides to every story, right,
- 27:16Speaker 1: he said, she said, and every what everyone said, I
- 27:20Speaker 1: don't know. Okay, well, is there any is there anything
- 27:26Speaker 1: out there right now that you want to clarify that
- 27:31Speaker 1: he has said that is not truthful?
- 27:35Speaker 2: So I did have a podcast where I did. Oh,
- 27:37Speaker 2: I can say one more thing that he said that
- 27:39Speaker 2: was such. Oh, I'm sorry, man, I don't want to
- 27:41Speaker 2: go here. So honestly, when I read the book, I
- 27:47Speaker 2: kind of thought, was he there because does he remember
- 27:50Speaker 2: that I was there that I know exactly how it happened.
- 27:52Speaker 2: And it could have been that he had a faulty memory,
- 27:56Speaker 2: but I remember everything, so there was there. And I
- 28:02Speaker 2: will say this, nothing in the book he says about
- 28:05Speaker 2: me is true. Nothing, nothing that he describes, not one.
- 28:10Speaker 2: And I know you're going to say it's you said,
- 28:12Speaker 2: she said. And I didn't really mean to talk about
- 28:14Speaker 2: this anymore because I really don't want to do it.
- 28:18Speaker 2: But everything, you know, you've heard the stories about silly
- 28:22Speaker 2: things about the smoothies twelve dollars, they're not don't order
- 28:26Speaker 2: them every day, make them? Myself said, I didn't cook.
- 28:29Speaker 2: That's not true. I cook every single night. I pretty
- 28:31Speaker 2: much cook every night. But I don't know why Gary
- 28:34Speaker 2: felt the need to say bad things about me, except
- 28:38Speaker 2: to make himself look better. So I will tell you
- 28:42Speaker 2: one story. So I don't know if you know. He
- 28:45Speaker 2: says in the book that I took one look at him.
- 28:48Speaker 2: He had a shirt on, and I said, oh no.
- 28:51Speaker 2: I scolded him like a kindergarten teacher and said, oh no,
- 28:55Speaker 2: you're not wearing that shirt. I'm taking you right now
- 28:59Speaker 2: to Lululemon to get a new shirt. Did you read that?
- 29:02Speaker 2: Do you know that story?
- 29:03Speaker 1: I don't know this story, so tell us.
- 29:05Speaker 2: So that's a story, he says it that way. You
- 29:08Speaker 2: want to know how it really happened?
- 29:10Speaker 1: Yes, please, okay.
- 29:12Speaker 2: So we were lying on my couch. He had his
- 29:15Speaker 2: hand he had he had his hands on my feet.
- 29:19Speaker 2: I had my hands on his feet. I was looking
- 29:22Speaker 2: at my direct messages and I said, oh, Gary, there's
- 29:26Speaker 2: this girl who works at Lululemon and she knows you're
- 29:29Speaker 2: in town, and she says she would love to meet
- 29:32Speaker 2: you and get a photo with the three of us.
- 29:35Speaker 2: I said, do you want to go? He said, sure,
- 29:37Speaker 2: why not, we're not doing anything. So we go down
- 29:40Speaker 2: to Lululemon. We walk in. He looks at his shirt
- 29:43Speaker 2: on the rack. He says, do you think I should
- 29:46Speaker 2: try this on? I said, yes, sure, why not. We
- 29:49Speaker 2: go into the dressing room. We actually took photos of
- 29:51Speaker 2: each other having fun, and I put it on Instagram.
- 29:55Speaker 2: I've since taken it down. I don't know if he
- 29:56Speaker 2: still has it up and we're having so much fun.
- 30:00Speaker 2: I said, you look so good in it. He said,
- 30:02Speaker 2: do you think I should buy it? I said, yeah,
- 30:04Speaker 2: why not buy it? You look great. He goes outside
- 30:07Speaker 2: and he buys it. That's the Lululemon story. If there
- 30:11Speaker 2: was something where I said no, you shouldn't wear that shirt,
- 30:15Speaker 2: it could have happened, but I wouldn't be scolding him.
- 30:18Speaker 2: And maybe I said, oh, we're going to a really
- 30:21Speaker 2: nice restaurant, you might want to change your shirt. I
- 30:23Speaker 2: don't even remember that at all. I'm going to give
- 30:26Speaker 2: him the benefit of the doubt on that one and say,
- 30:29Speaker 2: maybe possibly that happened, but he put two stories together,
- 30:34Speaker 2: or if that was a story, and how could you
- 30:37Speaker 2: do that, you know that's not what happened. And you know,
- 30:42Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know if you heard the other
- 30:44Speaker 2: podcast I was on where he says I handed him
- 30:47Speaker 2: sheets and a pillow and said, would you mind sleeping
- 30:51Speaker 2: on the couch. I have a big day at work tomorrow. Sure,
- 30:56Speaker 2: no problem. Were the words that came out of my mouth?
- 30:59Speaker 2: That's fiction. Those words never came out of my mouth.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Those words never came out of his mouth. I don't
- 31:05Speaker 2: know if if they decided to say it like that
- 31:08Speaker 2: to make it more dramatic. We slept together the first night.
- 31:13Speaker 2: I had dismantled my master bedroom. He said, I had
- 31:16Speaker 2: a two bedroom pass I didn't. If you can see
- 31:19Speaker 2: the bedroom way back there, this is the new bedroom
- 31:22Speaker 2: I made for Gary. I don't know if you can
- 31:24Speaker 2: see it, No, probably can't. I was sleeping in a
- 31:27Speaker 2: very small bedroom, in a very small bed. I had
- 31:30Speaker 2: not slept with anyone in nine years since my husband
- 31:32Speaker 2: passed away. And my husband was only five foot ten.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Gary's a bigger guy. I didn't sleep all night. He said,
- 31:38Speaker 2: how did you sleep? I said, I didn't sleep all night.
- 31:41Speaker 2: He said, oh, I can't sleep on the couch. If
- 31:43Speaker 2: you want me to, I said, oh my gosh, would you,
- 31:45Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, really, that'd be so great. I promise
- 31:47Speaker 2: you when you come back, I'm going to have a
- 31:49Speaker 2: king sized bed for us. I'm going to make up
- 31:51Speaker 2: the master bedroom again. And I'm telling you that's exactly
- 31:55Speaker 2: what happened. My daughter and I. I had ordered all
- 31:58Speaker 2: the linens, the beds, we put that together. I sent
- 32:01Speaker 2: him photos. I've got them in text. I said, you look,
- 32:03Speaker 2: we did this. He said, oh, but you didn't do
- 32:05Speaker 2: the window coverings. And I said, oh, but you're a handyman.
- 32:09Speaker 2: I thought you would do that with me. So I
- 32:12Speaker 2: don't want it to be a he said. She said,
- 32:14Speaker 2: I want him to look for life. I want him
- 32:17Speaker 2: to be happy. I'm just really disappointed that he really
- 32:20Speaker 2: it seems that he felt the need to say something
- 32:24Speaker 2: bad about me. Why I did it. Almost seems like
- 32:27Speaker 2: he thinks that I said anything bad about him, and
- 32:30Speaker 2: I never did. And I never would have said anything.
- 32:33Speaker 2: I would have taken this to my grave. I never
- 32:37Speaker 2: want to hurt another human being. I wanted him to
- 32:39Speaker 2: be happy. I really didn't want to hurt his daughters.
- 32:42Speaker 2: That was really really I said, I'm never I'm never
- 32:44Speaker 2: going to say anything. I don't want to hurt his daughters.
- 32:47Speaker 2: But and it's not like I tst. I have not
- 32:49Speaker 2: said anything. If you think I've said anything bad about him,
- 32:53Speaker 2: I haven't. I've only defended myself against everything he said.
- 32:58Speaker 2: I have so much I could say, I'll hold that inside.
- 33:01Speaker 2: I won't say it. I'm not saying it. Still haven't
- 33:04Speaker 2: said it. I've said two things about the cold cuts
- 33:08Speaker 2: and about the shed, and that's all I've said. There's more,
- 33:12Speaker 2: and I won't say it. I won't say so. I
- 33:15Speaker 2: think maybe it wasn't interesting enough the way it really happened,
- 33:20Speaker 2: So let's make it more interesting. And why tell everybody
- 33:24Speaker 2: I had a tiny house. I'm gonna cry, tell everybody
- 33:27Speaker 2: that I may make a final kissen who cares? Like?
- 33:31Speaker 2: Who cares? These are inconsequential things like who cares? Is
- 33:35Speaker 2: not even even people? I tell this to? Who cares?
- 33:38Speaker 2: If you even did buy a twelve dollars movie? Which
- 33:41Speaker 2: I don't? Who care? I do?
- 33:43Speaker 1: I do?
- 33:44Speaker 2: Why so many people do I like? And to say
- 33:48Speaker 2: I don't cook because Teresa never cooked? You know I
- 33:52Speaker 2: could cook. I cook. I cook it every night. I
- 33:54Speaker 2: just every night and make myself. I'm not even gonna
- 33:58Speaker 2: tell you, but roasted thatgetables and sweet potatoes and all
- 34:02Speaker 2: kinds of fish and grilled shrimp and so no, that's
- 34:06Speaker 2: not true. So I can you can if you ever
- 34:09Speaker 2: read the book. I can stand here and you can
- 34:13Speaker 2: tell me anything he said, and I will tell you
- 34:15Speaker 2: it's not true. There's not one thing that's true, any
- 34:18Speaker 2: disparaging remark. And the other thing was I think he
- 34:22Speaker 2: really felt that all the articles that were coming out
- 34:25Speaker 2: about him, that I was reading them and I wasn't.
- 34:29Speaker 2: So he was immersing himself in all of this bad news,
- 34:33Speaker 2: and a lot of it coming from a certain social
- 34:37Speaker 2: media platform which I will not name, that I won't
- 34:40Speaker 2: go on because it's so it's so depressing. I even
- 34:45Speaker 2: had my sister saying, oh my gosh, Jesus, do you
- 34:48Speaker 2: know what they're saying? There is no because I don't
- 34:50Speaker 2: read it. And I'd say, Mary, just don't read it.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Why should I read that stuff? So I think he
- 34:56Speaker 2: thought I was aware of all these bad things and
- 34:58Speaker 2: I wasn't defending him. But if you're not aware of
- 35:00Speaker 2: what's going on, and as you know, I don't know
- 35:04Speaker 2: what to say. It's in his mind it was way
- 35:07Speaker 2: different than it was, So you know, it wasn't the
- 35:11Speaker 2: right person for him just to admit that I was
- 35:14Speaker 2: the wrong person. He wanted someone else. He should have
- 35:17Speaker 2: done that. He should have gone with that other gone
- 35:20Speaker 2: with Leslie. He should have done it, be true to
- 35:22Speaker 2: your heart, and he made a decision of the head
- 35:26Speaker 2: and not the heart. What's that? Don't do that? And
- 35:29Speaker 2: that's when I said, I don't need a man to
- 35:31Speaker 2: do that for me, that I've been deeply loved my
- 35:34Speaker 2: entire life by my husband, and so don't do me
- 35:38Speaker 2: any favors. Why and like when you know and the
- 35:42Speaker 2: way it wound up, I mean, it was inevitable for
- 35:46Speaker 2: it to end up this way. And I could never
- 35:48Speaker 2: understand why he was being so mean to me. I
- 35:52Speaker 2: didn't understand why he didn't trust anything I did, and
- 35:56Speaker 2: going what did I do to not allow him to
- 35:59Speaker 2: trust me? The fact that he thought I was reading
- 36:01Speaker 2: a book. I didn't have a book at the mansion
- 36:04Speaker 2: that I was. I didn't ever read that book, and
- 36:06Speaker 2: that he imagined me curled up on the couch reading
- 36:10Speaker 2: that book and it got him sick to his stomach.
- 36:12Speaker 2: And now I also understand why when I was nominated
- 36:16Speaker 2: for a People's Choice Awards and I decided to go,
- 36:19Speaker 2: he said, oh, I'm surprised, but now I know he
- 36:22Speaker 2: thinks that I was in it for the fame and fortune,
- 36:25Speaker 2: and that's not me. That's not me at all, So
- 36:29Speaker 2: it just it all made sense when I I was
- 36:32Speaker 2: so I was so sad when I found out you
- 36:34Speaker 2: didn't really you didn't want me.
- 36:37Speaker 1: So yeah, I know you were. I know you were. Hey,
- 36:42Speaker 1: thank you so much for opening up. I mean, our
- 36:45Speaker 1: listeners love you, and I wanted to give you an
- 36:48Speaker 1: opportunity to address but it has been so I don't.
- 36:53Speaker 1: I don't mean to put you on the spot. I
- 36:55Speaker 1: just wanted to give you the opportunity to speak to
- 37:00Speaker 1: what has been being said. You know.
- 37:02Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you, And honestly, I really don't. I really
- 37:05Speaker 2: never planned on saying another word about it. So I
- 37:08Speaker 2: just I guess because I like you so much and
- 37:10Speaker 2: I feel like I'm talking to you that I'm opening
- 37:14Speaker 2: up to you. Thank you really well, I know you
- 37:17Speaker 2: talk about it again.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I understand. We are done. Thank you, and thank
- 37:23Speaker 1: you for sharing. Thank you for opening up and being
- 37:25Speaker 1: vulnerable and telling us what happened. Okay, I want to
- 37:41Speaker 1: talk Let's switch gears. Let's talk about PEG. So what
- 37:46Speaker 1: were what were your feelings of PEG like through the
- 37:51Speaker 1: entire season. I have mine I'll share with you in
- 37:53Speaker 1: a second, But what were your feelings on Peg.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Okay, so before the season started, I thought it was
- 37:59Speaker 2: I actually picked Cindy. But then as soon as.
- 38:02Speaker 1: You did, I did like she was if you had brackets,
- 38:05Speaker 1: like we actually did brackets, yes, And did you do
- 38:10Speaker 1: a bracket? No?
- 38:11Speaker 2: I didn't do it, but I think, Okay, I don't know. Yeah,
- 38:13Speaker 2: I just thought it was Cindy. And I loved every
- 38:15Speaker 2: one of the women. But I just thought it was Cindy.
- 38:17Speaker 2: But then when they their day date Peg and Mel,
- 38:21Speaker 2: I said, oh, it's Peg. I said the way he
- 38:24Speaker 2: lit up, the way he got excited, the way they
- 38:27Speaker 2: interpreted it, and they danced and they had so much fun.
- 38:30Speaker 2: I was sure it was Peg. So they're both phenomenal women,
- 38:36Speaker 2: incredible women. They're so bright and funny and smart and
- 38:42Speaker 2: engaging and well, I mean, they couldn't have picked better women.
- 38:47Speaker 2: You should get to know these women. Well. They were
- 38:50Speaker 2: really tall though they grow a lot of them were
- 38:51Speaker 2: from California.
- 38:52Speaker 1: They are I felt like this.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Tiny, tiny person. They're so tall and so oh my gosh,
- 38:59Speaker 2: they were. You should see some of them. They're amazing.
- 39:03Speaker 2: So I really do think that it was meant to
- 39:06Speaker 2: be that he would be with Peg. I just saw
- 39:10Speaker 2: that chemistry there and you know, so it was it
- 39:15Speaker 2: was close there. But even though Cindy's the one that
- 39:19Speaker 2: took herself out of it, I think that it was
- 39:22Speaker 2: meant to be. And I really do think, you know,
- 39:25Speaker 2: maybe he's he was gun shy and he doesn't think
- 39:29Speaker 2: that he can end this in a marriage, but who
- 39:32Speaker 2: knows what's going to happen, and Peg is leaving her
- 39:36Speaker 2: heart open for any possibility. And when you have that
- 39:40Speaker 2: and you've got that acceptance that just might happen. Who knows.
- 39:45Speaker 2: And every time they've done this, we've only done it
- 39:48Speaker 2: three times. Now you have season one, you've got The Bachelorette,
- 39:51Speaker 2: and you've got this season two. It's been done a
- 39:54Speaker 2: different way. I think the first season we thought that
- 39:57Speaker 2: it had to end in a marriage. I think that
- 40:00Speaker 2: that was we said this before and then Joan Joan
- 40:04Speaker 2: learned from my season, I do think because she took
- 40:08Speaker 2: a stand and she was very right about so many things.
- 40:11Speaker 2: She didn't want beds in the fantasy suites. Kudos to her,
- 40:15Speaker 2: and she didn't say she loved many people, and she
- 40:19Speaker 2: just keyed it on the one person and they don't
- 40:22Speaker 2: live together and they're making it work and it works,
- 40:25Speaker 2: And now you've got mellow saying, I'm just giving you
- 40:28Speaker 2: a commitment ring. I'm not even giving you an engagement ring.
- 40:32Speaker 2: But who knows what's going to happen when you leave
- 40:35Speaker 2: your heart open. We'll see. Maybe they'll be the most
- 40:37Speaker 2: successful ones who knows it's love.
- 40:40Speaker 1: Well, they can't be. They can't be because they just
- 40:42Speaker 1: been and I've been married to my husband for almost
- 40:45Speaker 1: twenty two But anyway.
- 40:47Speaker 2: I know they can't and they're so old it can
- 40:50Speaker 2: never bet.
- 40:54Speaker 1: No, that's not what I meant, but you know what
- 40:56Speaker 1: I'm saying, Yes, love peg. I loved her energy. I
- 41:01Speaker 1: obviously I love that she is connected to the fire department,
- 41:05Speaker 1: like I think she's a badass. I love that she
- 41:10Speaker 1: is so connected to her family, like that is a
- 41:14Speaker 1: value of hers And obviously Mel shares that in the
- 41:17Speaker 1: love he has for his sons, So I love that
- 41:20Speaker 1: they have that in common. They just do feel like
- 41:24Speaker 1: very like fun loving and youthful and you know open.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Although it was really funny, I have to go back
- 41:33Speaker 1: to the episode where he was driving the like dune
- 41:36Speaker 1: buggy thing and she's like, oh my gosh, could you
- 41:40Speaker 1: please put the pedal to the medal. Come on, she
- 41:46Speaker 1: took the wheel. Yeah, I loved that. That was so cute.
- 41:50Speaker 2: You know what, he's a football player. Maybe he's saying, Okay, now,
- 41:53Speaker 2: I don't want to get hit or hurt anymore. Like
- 41:55Speaker 2: I'm doone, I'm not getting hurt.
- 41:59Speaker 1: And you know what, actually, what is it called like
- 42:03Speaker 1: concussion syndrome or whatever, where like Ryan dealt with that
- 42:07Speaker 1: playing in the in the NFL, and he didn't play
- 42:10Speaker 1: as long as mel did, not even close. So maybe
- 42:14Speaker 1: there's like maybe there is like concussion symptoms or something
- 42:18Speaker 1: going on there where he's like, yeah, I do not
- 42:21Speaker 1: want to get hurt. I'm not falling out of this dune, buggy,
- 42:23Speaker 1: So I'm gonna going to go ten miles an hour.
- 42:26Speaker 2: I think so. And you didn't want to go near
- 42:28Speaker 2: the sting ray the.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right, that's right.
- 42:33Speaker 2: You might have grown way cautious in his oldier years
- 42:36Speaker 2: because he's gone through so much.
- 42:38Speaker 1: So well, I think that Peg is going to change that.
- 42:41Speaker 1: I have a feeling that she is going to be like, dude,
- 42:45Speaker 1: we're together and we're going to live this life and
- 42:47Speaker 1: we're going to have fun. So come on, I don't
- 42:49Speaker 1: care about the Sting Rays and the Dune Buggies.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Okay, so, so this is not I thought it was
- 42:59Speaker 1: one one of the only times that this has happened.
- 43:01Speaker 1: But before we started this podcast, we were chatting about
- 43:06Speaker 1: how many people have actually not committed to each other
- 43:11Speaker 1: after the show, and there are quite a few people,
- 43:13Speaker 1: including Jesse, which I was like, oh my gosh, that's right.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 43:18Speaker 1: So I know, and he didn't mention it last night,
- 43:22Speaker 1: probably because he doesn't want to bring attention to it.
- 43:25Speaker 1: But Bob, my co host, is also one of those
- 43:29Speaker 1: people who gave who gave a promise ring and you
- 43:36Speaker 1: know what, Heather, do you actually I'll just read it
- 43:38Speaker 1: from I have it on our text, so I'll pull
- 43:40Speaker 1: it up. Heather. Okay. So Bob Guiney, my amazing co host,
- 43:46Speaker 1: gave us a little something that we could quote him
- 43:51Speaker 1: in saying that I would read back to you all.
- 43:53Speaker 1: So here we go. He said, no, I was not
- 43:57Speaker 1: contractually obligated to give a ring. At the end of
- 44:00Speaker 1: my season of The Bachelor. We asked him if he
- 44:02Speaker 1: was contractually obligated. He said, I really didn't feel comfortable
- 44:07Speaker 1: proposing at that point, so to me, the promise. Ring
- 44:11Speaker 1: was my way of showing Estella and everyone else that
- 44:14Speaker 1: we were going to give things a try without the
- 44:17Speaker 1: cameras around. And you know, he said that, and that
- 44:20Speaker 1: actually makes me remember that Alex Michelle, who was the
- 44:25Speaker 1: very first bachelor that broke my heart, he said the
- 44:29Speaker 1: exact same thing to Amanda that he wanted to give
- 44:33Speaker 1: a try, you know, on their relationship without the cameras around.
- 44:40Speaker 1: So there's something to it. And Bob said, and see
- 44:42Speaker 1: what we could build. It obviously didn't work out for
- 44:45Speaker 1: us as a couple, but we're both happily married now,
- 44:48Speaker 1: so yay, Yes, it always does work out, you know,
- 44:56Speaker 1: like however it's supposed to work out. I sometimes and
- 45:00Speaker 1: I'm watching and this happens, I'm like, but it really
- 45:03Speaker 1: doesn't have to end in an engagement to be successful.
- 45:09Speaker 1: I just I feel like, and tell me what you
- 45:15Speaker 1: were feeling knowing that this happened last night being in
- 45:19Speaker 1: the audience, because it kind of everything that it happened
- 45:24Speaker 1: with him and Cindy and how I felt like he
- 45:28Speaker 1: didn't take accountability and really like just compliment her and
- 45:34Speaker 1: say the same things that she was saying to him,
- 45:36Speaker 1: which she said, you know, I want you to be happy,
- 45:40Speaker 1: and he didn't say anything like that, you know, like
- 45:44Speaker 1: so when he wasn't saying those same things and kind
- 45:47Speaker 1: of lifting her up and saying he could have said,
- 45:50Speaker 1: I'm so sorry that that happened. I had stronger feelings
- 45:54Speaker 1: for Peg and I just wasn't ready to go there.
- 45:58Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. I wish we could have talked about
- 46:00Speaker 1: it behind closed doors, but I do want you to
- 46:02Speaker 1: be happy or whatever, you know what I mean. So
- 46:05Speaker 1: that put a really bad taste in my mouth. And
- 46:08Speaker 1: then knowing that they didn't get engaged after that, I
- 46:12Speaker 1: kind of was like, well, bummer, Like I feel like
- 46:16Speaker 1: the ladies, like they all left their lives to come
- 46:19Speaker 1: on the show and then we don't even have an engagement.
- 46:23Speaker 1: But I will say other seasons when this has happened,
- 46:26Speaker 1: I don't care as much because it is a television show,
- 46:32Speaker 1: and if people are not ready, then they're not ready.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Like there's no reason to pressure yourself to get engaged
- 46:43Speaker 1: if you're not ready. So I give it up usually
- 46:46Speaker 1: to the people who know that they're not ready and
- 46:51Speaker 1: have the wherewithal and their wits about them to know
- 46:54Speaker 1: what they want and what they need and if that's
- 46:57Speaker 1: not something that they want then standing up to the
- 46:59Speaker 1: show saying no, I'm not ready to go there, but
- 47:02Speaker 1: here's a promise. Ring. But then last night I just
- 47:06Speaker 1: had this bad taste in my mouth after everything that
- 47:08Speaker 1: went down with Cindy, and I was kind of like, well, eh,
- 47:12Speaker 1: I'm not so thrilled that they didn't get engaged, you
- 47:15Speaker 1: know what I mean?
- 47:16Speaker 2: I don't know. I really I think that they were
- 47:19Speaker 2: both aligned and they felt the same way. And I
- 47:22Speaker 2: really do think that she's giving him grace, so peg
- 47:26Speaker 2: is giving mel grace that maybe he's just afraid. And
- 47:31Speaker 2: I really feel like it's going to get there, and
- 47:34Speaker 2: I think it's going to work out that way. And
- 47:36Speaker 2: I think that if she really felt the same way
- 47:39Speaker 2: he did, and if she forced the issue and said no,
- 47:43Speaker 2: I have to get engaged, like they wouldn't be where
- 47:46Speaker 2: they are, and he probably maybe he would have walked away.
- 47:50Speaker 2: I think because she's allowing him the freedom to choose
- 47:54Speaker 2: because he doesn't feel comfortable, that he most likely will
- 47:58Speaker 2: get there because now he's a woman who really understands that.
- 48:04Speaker 2: And it was and I totally really agree with Cindy too,
- 48:07Speaker 2: because that was how she felt and she should not
- 48:11Speaker 2: put up with what something she doesn't want to do.
- 48:14Speaker 2: So I think that it was I really think this
- 48:16Speaker 2: was the most exciting episode of the entire season. So
- 48:20Speaker 2: you had Cindy standing up for herself for what she
- 48:23Speaker 2: believed in, and then you had Hell and Peg going
- 48:26Speaker 2: forward with what they believed in. And maybe Peg really
- 48:30Speaker 2: did feel the same way Mel did. It seemed like
- 48:33Speaker 2: she did. And now they were able to say he
- 48:36Speaker 2: said I'm in love with her and she said I'm
- 48:38Speaker 2: in love with him. So wow, they get there. So
- 48:44Speaker 2: I'm like, all about freedom. I'm all about never trying
- 48:47Speaker 2: to force anyone to do something that they don't want
- 48:49Speaker 2: to do. Do what makes you happy. And I know
- 48:51Speaker 2: that you would think that too, and I'm sorry that
- 48:54Speaker 2: you did feel disappointed that it didn't get there. But
- 48:57Speaker 2: then the people who feel that way feel Okay. I'm
- 49:02Speaker 2: sure there are people who felt pressured, and maybe Gary
- 49:06Speaker 2: did to feel like he had to end it in
- 49:09Speaker 2: any when it really should not have been, and maybe
- 49:13Speaker 2: he should have taken a stand and said I wasn't
- 49:15Speaker 2: ready for this, And so there is that pressure at
- 49:19Speaker 2: the end being in that situation. All of America wants
- 49:21Speaker 2: an engagement. They're looking for a wedding. They want this stuff,
- 49:25Speaker 2: and so we can't disappoint America. We can't do it
- 49:29Speaker 2: on a love story. They want this to happen. So
- 49:32Speaker 2: you know, I understand that about Gary feeling that way.
- 49:36Speaker 2: I get it.
- 49:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:37Speaker 2: So yeah, And he was.
- 49:39Speaker 1: The first, so I'm sure there was pressure from production
- 49:42Speaker 1: saying like you're the first, you need to like establish
- 49:46Speaker 1: the ground rules that we really want people to find love,
- 49:50Speaker 1: you know, and and the indicator for that is an
- 49:54Speaker 1: engagement you know, in some in some ways. So okay,
- 49:59Speaker 1: So so, uh tell me? Is uh peg wearing the
- 50:05Speaker 1: ring on her left hand?
- 50:07Speaker 2: Yes? I read that she put it on her left hand,
- 50:10Speaker 2: and I think it's really she put it on her
- 50:13Speaker 2: left hand.
- 50:14Speaker 1: So it doesn't that mean that it's an engagement ring?
- 50:17Speaker 1: Like I'm confused. Isn't a prop? Are you supposed to
- 50:20Speaker 1: wear a promise ring like around your neck? Or I
- 50:22Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know the rules.
- 50:24Speaker 2: When I was sixteen and I were it on my lefeh,
- 50:28Speaker 2: I know what the rules are, honest, Yeah, I mean
- 50:32Speaker 2: I guess who cares?
- 50:33Speaker 1: Who cares? Bob? Did have Estella wear her ring on
- 50:38Speaker 1: her right hand? So maybe that's where I'm getting it from.
- 50:41Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe not that it means anything, like
- 50:45Speaker 1: they can do what they want if they're if that's
- 50:48Speaker 1: where she wants to wear it, And to be quite honest,
- 50:51Speaker 1: I feel like the sizes of my fingers are different
- 50:54Speaker 1: on both.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Hands, a different. I actually can fit my wedding band
- 50:59Speaker 2: on this thing, but I can't even get it down
- 51:01Speaker 2: here on.
- 51:02Speaker 1: This thing exactly. So maybe that's why she's wearing it
- 51:05Speaker 1: on her left hand. Who knows? And what do you
- 51:09Speaker 1: think about this? If they get engaged, will she get
- 51:13Speaker 1: a new ring?
- 51:14Speaker 2: Oh? I don't think so. I mean that's it. I
- 51:17Speaker 2: think Meehlane designed that one with the hope that Nitia
- 51:21Speaker 2: turns into an engagement ring that you can now now
- 51:23Speaker 2: you're going in an engagement. I don't know what would
- 51:26Speaker 2: she do? Give it back and say I want a
- 51:28Speaker 2: more spectacular ring, because now.
- 51:30Speaker 1: I mean it is pretty spectacular, I will say so.
- 51:35Speaker 1: The stats on it, like People Magazine did a thing
- 51:38Speaker 1: on Instagram and they featured it. I think they said
- 51:41Speaker 1: it was like three three carrots total or something like that.
- 51:45Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, that's amazing you that's a half carrots. Yeah,
- 51:51Speaker 1: so I had to look up what my ring was
- 51:53Speaker 1: because I don't have it on right now. But my
- 51:56Speaker 1: Valerieul ring that I got from Nee Lane and it
- 52:01Speaker 1: was it's like for something.
- 52:03Speaker 2: So I was like, wow, oh wow, that's amazing.
- 52:09Speaker 1: No, I don't say it for that reason, but I'm like, I, okay, well,
- 52:13Speaker 1: at least I got like a four carrot ring and
- 52:17Speaker 1: instead of like a I mean a three and a
- 52:19Speaker 1: half carrot pramise ring. Wow, amazing, amazing, it is amazing.
- 52:29Speaker 1: I think, isn't that amazing? Like, oh my god, he's
- 52:33Speaker 1: a lucky gal.
- 52:34Speaker 2: It's gorgeous.
- 52:35Speaker 1: So it is gorgeous. I love cushion, yes, and I
- 52:40Speaker 1: have a platinum ring, and I love platinum. But I
- 52:45Speaker 1: love kind of the trend that I'm seeing that there
- 52:48Speaker 1: are more What was yours?
- 52:51Speaker 2: You know what I don't when you're I think it
- 52:53Speaker 2: was way way more like.
- 52:55Speaker 1: Maybe No, no, I mean gold or platinum.
- 52:59Speaker 2: Oh it was platinum. It's fun.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Okay, Yes, I thought you right.
- 53:02Speaker 2: You didn't even remember if I get it back and
- 53:08Speaker 2: had to give it back, So.
- 53:11Speaker 1: You did you? So if it's if you are together
- 53:17Speaker 1: for a year, is that what the marker is and
- 53:20Speaker 1: you get to keep it.
- 53:21Speaker 2: No that they didn't actually ask me for it. I
- 53:23Speaker 2: just felt guilty. I knew that was the wall. So
- 53:25Speaker 2: I contacted them. I said, do I have to give
- 53:27Speaker 2: you this ring back? Because I was afraid it was
- 53:29Speaker 2: going to lose it and then they're going to say
- 53:30Speaker 2: where's the ring? Oh I don't know, so I think it.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Well, good for you for reaching out. That is called integrity.
- 53:39Speaker 1: Thank you integrity. Yes, I love that they.
- 53:43Speaker 2: Got it back. I said, well, send me an envelope.
- 53:45Speaker 2: What is it? What do I have to do?
- 53:47Speaker 1: I know, what do I do? Do I have to
- 53:48Speaker 1: hand deliver it or are you going to bring a
- 53:50Speaker 1: bodyguard or what?
- 53:53Speaker 2: And I said, did you get it? Did you get it?
- 53:55Speaker 2: Tell me you got it? Oh?
- 53:57Speaker 1: That is nerve wrecking. I will say. I had like
- 54:02Speaker 1: a couple diamonds had not the not the center diamond,
- 54:06Speaker 1: but a couple of the like pave diamonds had come out.
- 54:09Speaker 1: So I had talked to Neil Lane about them fixing it,
- 54:13Speaker 1: and they were gonna have me send it in the mail.
- 54:15Speaker 1: And I was so stressed out about that. Yes, I
- 54:18Speaker 1: was like, I don't know if I like that. I
- 54:20Speaker 1: kind of want to fly to la and like give
- 54:23Speaker 1: it to you there.
- 54:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't wear it and that, but did you
- 54:27Speaker 2: really send it? Did you send it back? No?
- 54:30Speaker 1: I ended up doing something else. But but yeah, we
- 54:33Speaker 1: didn't have to worry about that. Okay, So give me
- 54:36Speaker 1: a comment on this. Peg says Mel doesn't have integrity,
- 54:41Speaker 1: he is integrity, and I guess do you remember that
- 54:45Speaker 1: being said?
- 54:46Speaker 2: I remember that what he said after that?
- 54:48Speaker 1: No? No, do you remember the crowd's reactions? Yes?
- 54:52Speaker 2: Yes, Oh they thought it was phenomenal. That was a
- 54:55Speaker 2: great statement they did. I'm sure that that is so
- 54:58Speaker 2: true about that about Mel. Sorry Meg, Meg, Meg, No,
- 55:09Speaker 2: if she had to say that, that means she knows
- 55:12Speaker 2: this man so well and he has such high integrity.
- 55:16Speaker 2: I have a feeling we're just not seeing Mel. We're
- 55:19Speaker 2: not seeing the full Mel, and maybe sometime in the
- 55:23Speaker 2: future we will. And I have a feeling he's this
- 55:25Speaker 2: funny guy. It was really fun loving and really energetic
- 55:29Speaker 2: and outgoing, and you know, and if anybody's going to
- 55:33Speaker 2: bring him out of his shell, if he needs to
- 55:35Speaker 2: be brought out of a shell, it's going to be Peg.
- 55:36Speaker 2: So I just think that we just didn't get to
- 55:40Speaker 2: know him.
- 55:41Speaker 1: And yeah, yeah, I think that was good for you
- 55:44Speaker 1: for giving him the benefit of the doubt. I still
- 55:47Speaker 1: am a little sour about how he treated Cindy, but
- 55:50Speaker 1: you know, I know, Okay, so let's change gears. So
- 56:06Speaker 1: they did the whole Taylor, Frankie Paul sit down with Jesse.
- 56:10Speaker 1: Did you they showed you that right during?
- 56:12Speaker 2: Okay?
- 56:13Speaker 1: Okay, So how first of all, how did you feel
- 56:17Speaker 1: when they announced her as bachelorette?
- 56:18Speaker 2: Oh? So excited? I really, I think, yes, I'm so excited.
- 56:22Speaker 2: So of course they you know, they had to do
- 56:25Speaker 2: something different, and now to have someone like this just
- 56:30Speaker 2: brings a whole different element to it, and all of
- 56:34Speaker 2: her followers will follow her, and I think it's just
- 56:37Speaker 2: very exciting. I'm excited to see it. I think I
- 56:41Speaker 2: think that everyone's going to be so excited to see this,
- 56:44Speaker 2: so making us wait too. It's not till March, so
- 56:47Speaker 2: it's a very long time.
- 56:48Speaker 1: Yes, yes, I will say that I felt like I
- 56:52Speaker 1: was shocked in the beginning, just because I haven't watched
- 56:55Speaker 1: Mormon Wives, and I know what I knew of her
- 56:59Speaker 1: was just that she is like controversial, you know, and
- 57:05Speaker 1: and it seems like she speaks her mind and she's
- 57:08Speaker 1: like listen, this is what's up, you know, which I love.
- 57:12Speaker 1: I'm all for female empowerment. And obviously she comes, like
- 57:17Speaker 1: you said, with a following already. And I had always
- 57:21Speaker 1: said I would love for someone to be plucked out
- 57:24Speaker 1: of obscurity and not from like you know, reused from
- 57:29Speaker 1: past seasons and not reused. I guess it's not the
- 57:32Speaker 1: appropriate word, but you know, plucked from a past season,
- 57:37Speaker 1: someone that we could all fall in love with together,
- 57:39Speaker 1: and that I felt like was part of why Golden
- 57:42Speaker 1: was so magical, was because we could all fall in
- 57:45Speaker 1: love with Gary and all of you at the same
- 57:49Speaker 1: time together. And this is kind of that because she's
- 57:53Speaker 1: being plucked not out of Bachelor Nation, but out of
- 57:57Speaker 1: you know, kind of a you know, ABC show or
- 58:01Speaker 1: a Hulu show, the whole family of ABC. And and
- 58:05Speaker 1: I do love that. And I will say the sit
- 58:09Speaker 1: down with Jesse, and I've been following her since it
- 58:11Speaker 1: was announced, and I'm so excited. I think that it is.
- 58:16Speaker 1: Like Jesse said last night, it's going to be a
- 58:19Speaker 1: wild ride because she is gonna, you know, put the
- 58:23Speaker 1: guys in their place. Like I loved that she was
- 58:26Speaker 1: giggling about how she did like put the What did
- 58:32Speaker 1: Jesse say about.
- 58:34Speaker 2: She sent somebody Home?
- 58:37Speaker 1: Yes, that too. Yes, Yes, she's not gonna like deal.
- 58:42Speaker 1: She's gonna, you know, call it like it is. And
- 58:46Speaker 1: I love that. I'm really excited for that.
- 58:48Speaker 2: And her interview alone was just so real and vulnerable. Yes, yes,
- 58:54Speaker 2: I think it's going to be exciting, she said. Yeah,
- 58:56Speaker 2: she said, even if I hear something, I'm just going
- 58:59Speaker 2: to let them go. But she said that she's already falling,
- 59:03Speaker 2: you know, for people, and that she's surprised.
- 59:05Speaker 1: I know. I love that. I love that she is
- 59:11Speaker 1: open to it. You know that she's ready and willing
- 59:14Speaker 1: and and she will the one thing I said, not
- 59:17Speaker 1: one thing I said. But I think one of the
- 59:20Speaker 1: really good things about Taylor is you know that she's
- 59:22Speaker 1: going to just shoot straight from the hip. She's going
- 59:25Speaker 1: to tell it like it is. She is going to
- 59:27Speaker 1: bring you all along for the ride, bring us all
- 59:30Speaker 1: along for the ride. So I am so excited.
- 59:33Speaker 2: Oh, I'm predicted love it. We won't know what's going
- 59:36Speaker 2: to happen, right, that'll be the part of it.
- 59:39Speaker 1: That's a great word.
- 59:41Speaker 2: Yes, But nothing will happen until March, so they'll be
- 59:44Speaker 2: like complete silence until March. That's a long time.
- 59:48Speaker 1: That is a very long time. I want to say
- 59:50Speaker 1: it's February though. Oh it's because they're renovating the mansion
- 59:54Speaker 1: and they're doing a show on HDTV to renovate the mansion.
- 59:58Speaker 1: So that's why three reason.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Yeah, great, I can't see that too, that'll be great.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean right. I'm kind of bummed that it
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: wasn't asked to be one of the people to do it.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: I would have loved that. I mean, Ryan and I
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: actually had a show on HGTV. Not it didn't get
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: past the pilot, so let me just specify that. But
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: it was called Rocky Mountain Renot and we loved it.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: It was so much fun.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: So I love to do that.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: It's all good. It's all good. It was so much
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: fun to film.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: So yeah, maybe next season. But are they going to
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: keep renovating the mansion.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: I don't think so. Yeah, I know I doubt it,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: but I am very interested to see who like wins
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: that show and how it is renovated. Like how exciting?
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: So exciting. Okay, so we know that the show. Wait
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: where did the show send Where were they going to
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: send you?
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: And now Garyan, we were going to Italy and Italy
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: to Napa Valley.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Yeah, they're going to Napa, Yeah, which I mean gotta
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: love gotta love Napa. And it's kind of seems like
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: it fits their vibe. You know, they want to just
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: hang out and you know, eat some food and drink
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: some wine. You guys never went on your trip, did you.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: Never went on our trip? And it wasn't like they
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: were giving us a trip to Italy that they put together.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: They just gave us money and we were supposed to
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: put so got it so much better if they just
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: decided where we're going, you know that'd be right that Yes?
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Yea well bummer. Well hopefully you can use the money
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: and go to Italy by yourself or with your family.
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: Yes, someday we'll do that. Twice I have, yes, but
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: I've never been to the lower part of Italy. So
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: have you been to Italy? Yes?
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: I have, and I love Italy. I would go back
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: in a heartbeat. I mean we went to Chinkwaitara, which
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: is like one of the like little fishing villages, yeah,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: or five fishing villages. It's where Pesto was created. And
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: if you like Pesto, go to chinkwatera because oh my
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: really good. Yes, I'm sorry that you didn't get to
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: go on your trip, but hey you can still DODA
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: sometimes another day, some day, that's right, that's right.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: Well, we are very happy for Mel and for Peg
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: and no, I know without a doubt that Cindy will
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: find her person. I'm actually rooting for her to be
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Golden Bachelorette.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that might happen. She seems perfect.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: I think she would be her affect for Golden Bachelorette.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I thought she looked drop dead, oh
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: my gorgeous last.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: Night, sanely gorgeous.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, her eyes and Peg too, Peg too,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Both of them looked gorgeous last night. PC.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: Really there were stunners, really stunning.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: They come out, they were stunning, and I have a
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: feeling that that is because of Gina makeup or makeup
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: artist extraordinary. And not to say that they are not
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: gorgeous anyway, but their makeup was, but it was like elevating.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: They were just glam to the nines. And I thought
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: it was amazing with pegshow anyway.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Wasn't really wearing that much makeup on the show. And
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: to see her in full makeup, gorgeous. Oh my god,
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: her skin is so beautiful. And then yes, Cindy looks
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: like they looked amazing.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: They looked amazing. So yes, we, of course almost everyone
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: at Almost Famous wishes Mel and Peg and I almost
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: did it. I almost said Meg and pell Ell Mel
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Now Meg, we're calling them Meg. We wish them all
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: of bes. Yes, absolutely, all the happiness, and I know
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: Cindy will find her person, as will all of the
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: other Golden Bachelorettes. We I loved watching this season and
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: I'm excited for another. Actually, do you think they're going
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: to do another.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: Golden Definitely they will. They will. They have to. They
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: cannot stop that. They've got to do it. They've learned
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: much from well we've done so far, so they're going
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: to get it absolutely perfect the next time. It's going
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: to be that's right, That's that's right. They've got to
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: do it. We'll do for a Golden Bachelorette and then
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: we'll have that's right. All these new guys.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: Uh huh, what are you are you by that statement?
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: Are you hoping to throw your name in the ring?
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Oh? I don't know about that.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: No, Oh.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: Yes, I'm ready that's right. Yes, okay, indeed, it's not
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: just you, it's me me. I can put on makeup too.

- 1:05:31Speaker 1: a pleasure chatting with you, Teresa. Thank you so much
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: for coming on and recapping and of course sharing what
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: you didn't want.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: To share, but just eliminate all that.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you. We're done. She's done talking about
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: it people.
