- 1:40to join and I see you, Good morning, God blessed you. Welcome
- 1:42back to in the morning, Devo. Let me get to my notes here
- 1:46and read on what I wrote down to discuss here. Amen. It says,
- 1:53the question is why did Jesus tell the disciples in advance that he knew
- 2:00someone was going to betray him? Right, he tells them right off the
- 2:06bat. Listen, somebody here among you is going to betray me. Jesus
- 2:13said, why would Jesus do that? Why would he sit among a trader?
- 2:17And why would he seemingly trust the trader? Because you trust people who
- 2:23you sit and break bread with. Right, He said that at the Last
- 2:27Supper John, chapter thirteen, verses eighteen to twenty. That's where we're gonna
- 2:34be today John thirteen, eighteen to twenty, Trusting Traders Today in the morning,
- 2:38Devo. I know you could have questions, comments, concerns, pray
- 2:42requests, Amen. Leaving on the live chat so we could get into it.
- 2:45Amen. Also, if you're streaming live with me, Amen, and

- 2:54get into a morning devotion, Amen, when we're live, but you could
- 2:59jump hop on on a replay. It could be at nighttime when you watch
- 3:04or listen to this Amen. The reason why I call them morning Devo because
- 3:07when I'm doing these morning sessions is in the morning. Amen, But you
- 3:12could listen or watch any time. Man. What I'm trying to do is
- 3:15encourage you to get into the scriptures, get into this word for yourself.
- 3:20To that way you won't be manipulated or tricked or deceived into believing somebody else's
- 3:28theology on meology on the matter right, trusting traders. That's the name of
- 3:34today's devo. So let's pray first. After we pray, we'll share this
- 3:37out for like sixty seconds, and after the sixty seconds we'll come back.
- 3:42We'll get into John chapter number thirteen, verses eighteen to twenty. Are you
- 3:46ready? Father? I thank you for every single person that's connected now,
- 3:51that will connect later, that will listen now or can listen later, or
- 3:54watch now or watch later. Bless their hearts, bless their souls, guidegard
- 3:59and protect all of us Low God, including myself and my family. Thank
- 4:02you, Lord God for encouraging us, inspiring us. Thank you, Love
- 4:06God for covering us, protecting us, guiding us. Thank you, Love
- 4:10God for your love, your grace, and your mercy. Thank you,
- 4:13Lord God that even amongst people who are against you, you show grace,
- 4:17and you show kindness and show love. Yet you told us that we all
- 4:21assaulted the earth and the lot of the world, so we're supposed to go
- 4:25out and be who you called us to be. Thank you, Look God
- 4:29for your empowered Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit of God, which listened every
- 4:32single one of us who called upon your name to be saved. Thank you,
- 4:35Lord God, that you give us the words to say, the mouth
- 4:39to speak, the ears to listen, to the eyes to see. I
- 4:41thank you, Lord God, that you are exactly who you said you are.
- 4:46And I praise you, Lord God, because you are worthy of praise
- 4:48and admiration and glory. So I speak life, Lord God. I ask
- 4:54you, Lord God, to teach us and be our teacher, and that
- 4:57we would continue to trust in you, because your living words is relevant to
- 5:00every single thing that we go on to do in life during our time that
- 5:05we spend our life in And Jesus name, I give you glory, honor,
- 5:10worship of praise. Thank you for what you're doing or what you're about
- 5:13to do. Thank you for the upcoming testimonies on what this word is going
- 5:15to do to people choose to listen and choose life in Jesus name. And
- 5:21all those who agree, we say Amen and Amen, Manuel Johnson, Manuel,
- 5:28God, bless you. Good morning. Welcome to the morning Devo.
- 5:30So let's take sixty seconds out to share this. When we come back,
- 5:32we dive right into today's Morning Devo. I'll be right back, a man
- 6:46and man. We're back. Let's go for it. Let's see what the
- 6:47Word of God has for us today. We're calling this one trusting Traders.
- 6:51Amen. And the image that you saw earlier was a bag of thirty silver
- 6:58coins. And it reminds me of Judas the trader right, and Judas selling
- 7:01out the Lord and Savior all for thirty pieces of silver, Amen, and
- 7:06then regretting it afterwards to a point that he read it is so much that
- 7:13hung himself committed suicide. Trusting traders is a thing, and God is full
- 7:20of grace. Amen. Sometimes he descriptures, say, Lord, none of
- 7:26it. God is not like me. Amen, He's better than me,
- 7:29much better and he's His thoughts are not like my thoughts. So every time
- 7:33I put my place, my situation, my mindset in a place of God,
- 7:38I'm doing something unjust and kind of like blasphemous. Right. I can
- 7:44never say, oh, God, I would have done this better than him.
- 7:47But the people out there are actually doing that. I've had conversations with
- 7:51people that actually say they would have done something different, insinuating that what they
- 7:57would have done would have been better than what God had done. And that's
- 8:01really really arrogant. Amen. I'm not that guy. Amen. I won't
- 8:05do that. Amen. That's right. So let's go for it. We
- 8:09get this ready for those who are watching, Amen, and praise God for
- 8:13coming and watching. I'm put something on the screen for those who are just
- 8:16listening, No worries, no problem, Amen. Want to read a word
- 8:20for word, Amen, word for word, and we could do it from
- 8:26that Fancis point, right, Amen. Leaning on their own understanding, Yeah,
- 8:31a lot of people lean on the understanding and they call it wisdom,
- 8:35and they feel like that wisdom that they have because they're leading on their own
- 8:39understanding, is better than the understanding and the wisdom that God has. And
- 8:45like I said, that's very arrogant and dangerous as well. Amen. But
- 8:48we can pray for people, be kind to people, because for whatever reason
- 8:54people are like that. There's a reason why people are like that. We
- 8:56can't just assume that they will go one day and say I'm better than God
- 9:00or I'm God. Right, So we just go and we pray for people.
- 9:03Amen. It is worldly wisdom. Yeah, see right, it is
- 9:07worldly wisdom. I used to be there too, I used to be part
- 9:11of that worldly system. Amen. So I never point fingers. I just
- 9:15try to pray, be kind, and listen to people's stories and listen to
- 9:18why they're the way they are. Amen. And although I can respect somebody's
- 9:26position, I don't have to agree with the position if it's anti Christ,
- 9:31it's anti Biblical, or it's against God. Amen. That's just the way
- 9:33I am. So let's go for it. Trusting traders, trusting traders,
- 9:41let's go for it. Amen. And the scripture says in John thirteen,
- 9:46John Chapter thirteen, verses eighteen and twenty, Jesus said, I am not
- 9:52speaking of all of you. I know whom I have chosen. But the
- 9:58scripture will be fulfilled. He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against
- 10:07me. I am telling you this now before it takes place. It is
- 10:13prophetic right that when it does take place, you may believe that I am
- 10:20he truly. Truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I
- 10:26send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.
- 10:35Un Like a riddle. But Jesus is being playing with the disciples right then
- 10:39and there, letting no, no, no. The situation that's going to
- 10:43happen beforehand, right, a long list of people who have been traitors.
- 10:52We have that long list in history in the Bible, right and government and
- 10:58acts of war, or your family, my family, friends, colleagues,
- 11:05and your work is a long list of people who are traders. When Jesus
- 11:09said, not speaking to all of you, not speaking to all the disciples
- 11:13here, I know whom I have chosen. But the scripture will be fulfilled.
- 11:18Amen to the bottom line. Jesus saying, listen, I know what's
- 11:22gonna happen before it happens, is going to fulfill the scriptures that was wrote
- 11:26written about him a man, and it's going to happen. That's why when
- 11:30Jesus says, truly, truly, verily, verily, he's letting, you
- 11:33know, listen closely. I say to you, whoever receives the one I
- 11:37send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.
- 11:43It's like God the Father speaking through the sun right then and there in that
- 11:48place where Jesus was speaking, And it's almost like he was trusting traders.
- 11:54But you know, Jesus is just amazing and he loves, he's gracious,
- 12:01full of mercy and grace and truth. Amen, it's not that he was
- 12:05trusting the trader. He was just letting the disciples. No, this is
- 12:07gonna happen. This is how it's going to happen. And it's going to
- 12:11happen to fulfill the scriptures. Amen, to fulfill the scriptures. Sinister Alicia,
- 12:18God bless you. It's good to see you. Good morning, God
- 12:20bless you. Welcome to the morning. Devo's good to see you, my
- 12:22sister, Amen, sitting right there with Jesus. Yeah, the person that
- 12:28was going to betray the Lord was sitting eating bread among the disciples. Amen.
- 12:35And I think, you know, this is just me thinking out loud.
- 12:37I think the reason why Judas the Trader Amen, was felt so guilty
- 12:43was because he was with the brethren. He saw Jesus do miracle signs and
- 12:46wonders. He had the money bag. People say that he was stealing from
- 12:50the money bag, but he was among the people, and I think he
- 12:54kind of liked, you know, had some love. I think there was
- 12:56some love there between him and the brothers and with Jesus. Amen. And
- 13:01when somebody does something against somebody that they love, or out of desperation or
- 13:07maybe they're trying to come up and they no, no, no other way
- 13:11betray you or me. Amen, This guilt involved in that is guilt is
- 13:16gonna happen. Amen. So Jesus, yeah, he was calling it what
- 13:22it is. Amen. And Jesus was carrying out the father's will. Amen.
- 13:28Yes, his emotions. You know what I understand I'm learning about emotions.
- 13:33Emotions are not meant to be fixed, like you better fix your emotions.
- 13:39No, emotions are meant to be felt. And I think that's why
- 13:43anyone who betrays someone else, they feel a certain way. They have to
- 13:48feel something. If you don't feel nothing after you've done somebody dirty or betrayed
- 13:52somebody or or a trader or somebody even on a like a team, like
- 13:56a sports team. Right growing up where where we were from, we used
- 14:01to play street football, and you know, we would normally go on the
- 14:05same side, unless you know, somebody needed a team member or somebody else
- 14:11to be on the other side. But normally, if you were on one
- 14:13side team, you will always stick with that team. And what did they
- 14:18call you when you go on the other side. Trader? Amen, even
- 14:20though we would joke about it, but it's like a way of telling the
- 14:24other person. Listen, you were with us, now you're with them.
- 14:28You're a trader. Amen. Judas was with the Lord Jesus. Amen.
- 14:33And because what happened if you got to read about Judas, Amen, he
- 14:37was filled by the enemy and Lord by the enemy. But it was prophecy
- 14:43to be fulfilled. It was going to happen regardless. That's why Jesus said,
- 14:48I'm not talking to everybody here. I'm talking, you know, to
- 14:50the one person. Were not talking to everybody, to the one person.
- 14:54And that's why you see, if you notice, if you if you look
- 14:58at the scriptures closely, there were twelve and then there were eleven Amen of
- 15:03the disciples because one was missing because he was a trader, and that was
- 15:07Judas. Amen. So it's so much here, man. But of course
- 15:13these are morning DeVos. So I try to keep it bite sized, man,
- 15:18something that we could grab on and get about our day. Right.
- 15:22So why did Jesus tell the disciples in advance that he knew someone was going
- 15:26to betray him? Right? When we go back to the Bible, we
- 15:31find all the stories similar to this one, stories of betrayal, right,
- 15:37and history throughout the scriptures especially you see one with a Hitefel was King David's
- 15:45most trusted advisor. And guess what happened Tewod Samuel sixteen twenty three. Let's
- 15:50check it out real quick, Amen, hopefully my tablet will work real quick.
- 15:56Candy scriptures. Now, in those days, the council so that a
- 16:00hither of Fela gave was as if one consulted the word of God. So
- 16:04was all the counsel of a hither Offel esteemed both David and by Absolom.
- 16:11So this man was trusted a man, they were trusting a traitor. It's
- 16:17all through the scriptures. It's not only in the New Covenant. It's not
- 16:19only with what Jesus did with the disciples throughout the scriptures. We see this
- 16:25throughout your life and through my life, we see this too. Relevance.
- 16:29The word of God is still relevant, right, and the world of Jesus
- 16:33and the word of Jesus became flesh and dwelt among us. Yes, and
- 16:37throughout the rovers. Thank you for your comments. How about this one?
- 16:47So this a hither Offel was a person that was consulting the people because he
- 16:56was seeking the word of God. So was all the counsel that said.
- 17:00Abslom was King David's third son, who portrayed his own father by conspiring to
- 17:06take over the throne. The king's own son. And remember David, God
- 17:11said the father said that David was a man after his own heart. Yet
- 17:17he was among traders. Right. Abslom was King David's third son, who
- 17:25portrayed his own father by conspiring to take over the throne. Right. During
- 17:30Absalom's rebellion, a Hithefel advised Absaloms to sleep with his father's concubines as a
- 17:37challenge to his father's throne. Absalom followed this wicked advice on the rooftop of
- 17:44the palace rooftop. Remember the situation where King David on the rooftop follows this
- 17:51wicked advice on the rooftop of the palace, so that all of Israel could
- 17:55see wickedness. Man, people would do for other people. People tell you
- 18:00should do to try to hurt somebody else, or try to take somebody's position,
- 18:04or try to take over something that's not theirs, that's not rightfully theirs.
- 18:11A man, those are traders, we have them. Jesus had him
- 18:15among his disciples. David had it among his people. A man his own
- 18:19sons, you know, were acting buck wild in certain situations. But listen,
- 18:27God is a god of mercy. God is a guy who is kind.
- 18:30God is a guy who forgives. It's like you could trust your trader,
- 18:36right, but not really. You have to use wisdom, use understanding,
- 18:41use discernment, understand what's going on around you. Otherwise the betrayal you're
- 18:47never going to get over it. It's hard, man, I was the
- 18:49betrayer and I've been betrayed, and both is hard. Amen. It's hard
- 18:56just knowing that I did something like that to a person, and that somebody
- 19:00did that to me. Right, how do you feel when you are betrayed.
- 19:06How do you feel when people let you out there, they leave you
- 19:11out there to the wolves? How do you feel when a trusted person now
- 19:15becomes a trader? Amen. It's not a good feeling, it's not a
- 19:18good time, it's not a good experience. Amen. But you can't stay
- 19:22there. I can't stay there. It took me years to get over a
- 19:26betrayal, over a decade, at least a decade, right, And I
- 19:30finally came to the lawd and said, I gotta, I gotta, you
- 19:33gotta help me with this. I gotta forgive this person. I gotta,
- 19:37I gotta forgive. I gotta move forward or else, you know, I'm
- 19:40gonna stay there and stagnant and be stagnant. Amen. We have to keep
- 19:44on going. We have to we have to just be who God calls us
- 19:48to be. Amen. And were called to be forgivers, it be called
- 19:53to be truth seekers. If we called to be ambassador, if we're called
- 20:00to be you know, disciples, Let's be that. Let's be that.
- 20:07Let's start going around being held captive to unforgiveness, being held captive to things
- 20:14that really, if you think about it, they don't really matter after a
- 20:18while. Amen, if somebody did something to you and somebody did something to
- 20:22me, there's a reason why they did it, although it might not be
- 20:25a good reason or might not be a situation where you have to agree with
- 20:30why person did this and the why person did that. We have to keep
- 20:33on moving according to the spirit of God, otherwise we'll be stuck and will
- 20:37be judging, and we'll be pointing fingers and we will be stuck in unforgiveness.
- 20:42Amen. And I'm just going through your your comments seeing my brother.
- 20:47I don't want you to think that I'm not seeing you. Amen, Just
- 20:51be honest. Yeah, the feeling is not good at all. Right,
- 20:56we have to be humble. Amen. And the things sometimes that we make
- 21:02this big are really like right here, it's a heart condition, and we
- 21:07can't make things bigger than they really are. So a lot of scholars consider
- 21:11a hit the fela a type of Judas iscariot. So we have a person
- 21:15that was in an old covenant, and theologians are saying that's the type of
- 21:19Judas, and men both a hit the fel and Judas betrayed a close friend
- 21:26by conspiring with the enemy. Listen to kill the king, and both men
- 21:32committed suicide after the treachery a hit. The fell committed suicide and Judas committed
- 21:37suicide. Because of what happens after you go after a righteous person, a
- 21:42righteous man, you feel this guilt and men, and it doesn't go away
- 21:48because you know you did something to an innocent person. And the situation that
- 21:53always reminds me and runs in my mind. When I was younger, we
- 21:57had this big rumble and we was in somebody else's neighborhood and something happened,
- 22:03and it reminds in my mind, in my mind, and I pray to
- 22:07God, and I prayed little God, let that person be okay, Amen,
- 22:12because it wasn't good, it wasn't right, and it had to do
- 22:15with betrayal and the situation. Amen. And I ask Gott, please help
- 22:21that person, Amen, because I worry about that person of what happened years
- 22:26ago, and hopefully you know what I'm thinking, never came to pass,
- 22:32Amen. And I'm hoping the best for my enemy at the time. But
- 22:37this person had nothing to do with the whole rumble, in the whole situation.
- 22:40You don't understand what I'm saying. But these two men, they were
- 22:45conspiring to kill an innocent person, to do something to somebody who was trusted
- 22:51by these people. Obviously, kick David trusted a hit the fel Judas trusted.
- 22:56Judas was trusted by the disciples. Jesus knew it was going to happen.
- 23:00Is he is the prophetic fulfillment of the scripture, Amen, and he
- 23:04said to make sure that the scriptures are fulfilled. This has to happen.
- 23:08Disciples probably don't understand what was going to happen, but Jesus was telling them
- 23:12beforehand what was going to happen. Not forgiving right away keeps you in bondage,
- 23:18unable to move forward. Yes, yes, of course it does.
- 23:22And it doesn't do anybody any good, Amen, especially the one that's not
- 23:26forgiving. And if we're part of Christ and we are disciples of the Lord,
- 23:30we have to forgive. And I'm not saying that's an easy thing.
- 23:33People could do something incredibly hurtful to you. And if you forgive right on
- 23:40the spot, praise God. But do you really mean it. I mean,
- 23:42it's a difference between doing something and meaning what you're doing. Amen.
- 23:49Men of God. You have the identical twin name. Amen. Keeping things
- 23:56in perspective. Yes, Louis, God bless you. Good morning. Welcome
- 24:02to the morning, Devo. I've learned to dwell on being, not to
- 24:08dwell. Excuse me, I'm being portrayed because I've betrayed them. So for
- 24:12me, I've just learned to forgive quickly. Yeah, man, forgive quickly.
- 24:19And like Manuel says, they become strongholds. They will become strongholds if
- 24:25you don't forgive. So we see in the scripture and John thirteen eighteen to
- 24:30twenty read the whole chapter for yourself. But in this situation, Jesus letting
- 24:34them know what was going to happen to fulfill the scriptures. A man breaking
- 24:38bread with a trader, someone among that you know table, was going to
- 24:45betray the Lord. Jesus, he knew it beforehand, letting people know this
- 24:48is gonna happen, letting disciples know I'm aware, a man, I know
- 24:52what's gonna happen, so that the scriptures may be fulfilled. And then Jesus
- 24:59says, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I have
- 25:02sent, the one I send resies me, and whoever receives me receives the
- 25:07one who sent me. So the will of the Father is for us to
- 25:11believe in the one who he sent right, and Jesus saying, I'm the
- 25:14sent one. But this is gonna happen. I'm going to be betrayed.
- 25:18I'm going to be amongst a tradeor And this trader, Judas Amen, was
- 25:23found out and he sold out the Lord for thirty pieces of silver. Some
- 25:29people would sell us out for a little amount of money, a little amount
- 25:33of cloud, a little amount of fame, just to hurt us. Amen.
- 25:38And if we're not careful, we might be the person doing the betrayed
- 25:44if our heart is not right. But we have a new heart right in
- 25:48Christ. We have a new mind right in Christ. So we shouldn't be
- 25:51thinking like we used to think before. We should be moving by the spirit,
- 25:56Amen, and trying to do what God asks us of to do.
- 26:00Not try and just do it and man, and you will see the power
- 26:03of God in your life. They became strongholds. Amen. So let's see
- 26:10my final thing. I have one minute left. Amen. David wrote about
- 26:18being portrayed by those he trusted most seeing in the Psalms right palm chopped,
- 26:26chapter fifty five. I open this real quick to be my last piece.
- 26:33I'm running out of time here, so I'm fifty five twelve and fourteen.
- 26:37David said, For it is not an enemy who taunts me, then I
- 26:41could bear it. Right. It's not the enemy, and the enemy I
- 26:45was supposed to do what the enemy does. It is not an adversary who
- 26:48deals insolently with me, right, then I could hide from him. But
- 26:53it is you, a man, my equal, my companion, my familiar
- 26:59friend. We used to take sweet counsel together within God's house. We walked
- 27:03in the throng. In other words, I trusted you. Now you're a
- 27:08trader. People go through this. Amen, you might go through this,
- 27:12but let's trust God in a situation. Let's trust God through the process.
- 27:18So thank you for hanging out with me for this morning, DeVos man,
- 27:21So glad you are able to come through a man. Share this with a

- 27:30the basics, and follow the scripts. Man, we were in John chapter
- 27:33number thirteen. Read the whole chapter for yourself. We can't die of verses
- 27:37eighteen to twenty. But I want you to read the whole chapter to get
- 27:41the whole idea of what was going on. Amen. Thank you so much
- 27:45for the encouragement about this being a good word. Amen. God is good,
- 27:49He's faithful. Amen. I needed to hear this. Amen. So
- 27:52did I my bro. So God bless you all. Got to keep you
- 27:56all or remember always that God is good. Peace,
