- 0:06Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous, how are you?
- 0:09Speaker 2: I heard gorgeous, and I thought you were.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Talking about I was talking to all my stunning listeners.
- 0:16Speaker 2: That is also true.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Have you seen some of the listeners? Have you seen
- 0:20Speaker 1: most of the listeners?
- 0:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I get follows from the good listeners, and.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Yeah, everyone's slapping. Everyone's been working on their summer bods.
- 0:31Speaker 1: One of the cringiest moments of all my time on
- 0:35Speaker 1: reality TV what when I drunkenly walked up to the
- 0:40Speaker 1: group and said, I can see that some of us
- 0:43Speaker 1: have not been working on our summer bodies. Yes, horrendous
- 0:49Speaker 1: wind loser. Maybe it's gotta be said, And that's why
- 0:54Speaker 1: we're approaching seven years of sobriety, one day at a time,
- 0:58Speaker 1: still fucking up, But it's fine.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Tomorrow, we'll drink tomorrow.
- 1:03Speaker 1: What did you say the other day?
- 1:05Speaker 2: Oh that blew my mind?
- 1:08Speaker 1: What always happened?
- 1:09Speaker 3: What always happens but never, or what's always coming but
- 1:12Speaker 3: never happens?
- 1:14Speaker 1: Tomorrow tomorrow. Easton attempted to make a bracelet that said tomorrow,
- 1:18Speaker 1: but it was a little too big on the wrist,
- 1:20Speaker 1: so we we narrowed it down to an acronym of
- 1:23Speaker 1: TMR W.
- 1:25Speaker 2: And now it's not enough letters.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Now it's way too small.
- 1:29Speaker 2: So we just added some skulls.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Used a bead that was an M instead of a W.
- 1:36Speaker 1: So now I can't get that Levine song out of
- 1:39Speaker 1: my head where she's like tomorrowum is a different day.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I'm like, it doesn't even look like a W.
- 1:46Speaker 2: O okay for me? All right, you're right, it didn't
- 1:50Speaker 2: look like a W. But I was searching.
- 1:54Speaker 3: We had to take it that far, a little aggressive,
- 1:56Speaker 3: but I'll take it. But the bag, I thought, like,
- 1:58Speaker 3: you know, I looked through I couldn't find a W.
- 2:01Speaker 3: I was like, maybe the ms you just flip upside down?
- 2:04Speaker 1: No, absolutely not. It was I found a double in
- 2:07Speaker 1: a matter of seconds. Just don't be a man to
- 2:09Speaker 1: do any job.
- 2:11Speaker 2: It's because I got it to the top.
- 2:13Speaker 1: So I could not believe how many people have been
- 2:19Speaker 1: obsessed with Love Island this season. I heard last season
- 2:23Speaker 1: was incredible, but this season, last.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Season tops this season by what I've watched.
- 2:29Speaker 1: But why last season were they not having these giant
- 2:31Speaker 1: watch parties.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Because we didn't. America didn't have this much of.
- 2:35Speaker 1: A say, so walk me through that? What is that?
- 2:38Speaker 2: So?
- 2:39Speaker 3: Also, I'm new to Love Island pretty much just started
- 2:41Speaker 3: this season because of the Happy Detours podcast that we
- 2:45Speaker 3: have Calvin and I that we've been watching.
- 2:47Speaker 1: But Calvin Cobb was on on season two, I believe
- 2:51Speaker 1: of Love Island Island.
- 2:52Speaker 2: He was on the COVID where it was in Vegas,
- 2:55Speaker 2: Sally and he.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Was easton what he was on the season of the
- 3:01Speaker 1: guy who I reached out to.
- 3:03Speaker 2: What's his name?
- 3:04Speaker 1: I'm not outing him.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Well, we'll just say it and we'll bleep it, but
- 3:07Speaker 3: I want to know because I think I think his
- 3:10Speaker 3: name was.
- 3:11Speaker 2: From what I've seen.
- 3:12Speaker 3: It was voting at the end when it was like
- 3:15Speaker 3: the four couples or the three whatever they get to,
- 3:18Speaker 3: and this season was like you could vote, like we
- 3:21Speaker 3: voted to keep a Landry and Nick like both of
- 3:25Speaker 3: them were voted off.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Back in the day, that would have been a thing.
- 3:28Speaker 1: They would have been gone.
- 3:29Speaker 2: They would have been gone.
- 3:30Speaker 3: But because they wanted America and all of this to
- 3:32Speaker 3: be so involved, they were like, if you guys want
- 3:34Speaker 3: to couple up, you guys can go back to the villa.
- 3:37Speaker 2: But if you don't, then you have to go home.
- 3:39Speaker 1: So it's like so basically you have to like someone
- 3:41Speaker 1: that you don't even like really.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Yeah, to keep going on.
- 3:44Speaker 3: So people loved Nick and Landria together, so we pretty
- 3:47Speaker 3: much just voted them as a crew and they got second.
- 3:50Speaker 3: So we got them second. It wasn't even based off
- 3:54Speaker 3: of them liking each other. Even to the final round.
- 3:56Speaker 1: What do they get?
- 3:57Speaker 2: I think like one hundred and fifty grand or one
- 3:59Speaker 2: hundred grand, all.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Right, and with taxes they take hash yeah, so but.
- 4:03Speaker 3: I mean all you get a lot of followers and
- 4:05Speaker 3: a lot of opportunity.
- 4:07Speaker 1: That's worth a lot, that's worth a ton.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I think it wasn't authentic because we were forcing people
- 4:12Speaker 3: into relationships when that relationship wasn't authentic, when like we
- 4:17Speaker 3: saw real, like.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Real authentic relationships and they would give voted off, they
- 4:21Speaker 1: would give voted off or like pressed into a different
- 4:24Speaker 1: you know. So it was mostly based on like the individual.
- 4:29Speaker 3: It was hunger games for all of us to just
- 4:31Speaker 3: like throw them on an island and just say we
- 4:34Speaker 3: will have them do this now, let's make the weather
- 4:36Speaker 3: this way, let's do this hunger gameish of like how
- 4:41Speaker 3: can we have more of a say? And that's why
- 4:44Speaker 3: these watch parties started going because because.
- 4:46Speaker 1: You would vote start time, yes, genius.
- 4:48Speaker 3: And then you would vote with your friends, so you
- 4:50Speaker 3: were like, well who are you going to vote for?
- 4:51Speaker 3: And then you had a conversation of why. So it
- 4:54Speaker 3: is fun, but it's like back to my point of Bravo.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Sometimes you give people too much say and this is
- 5:00Speaker 3: where it happens.
- 5:02Speaker 2: This is what happens.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Okay, you know, like I mean, people are getting death
- 5:07Speaker 3: threats from that show.
- 5:10Speaker 2: They never had to put a like a.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Disclosures clear of like please do not cyber bully, do not.
- 5:20Speaker 1: They put that on.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Put that on the show because Huda is getting them. Venna,
- 5:25Speaker 3: this the pretty girl who had nothing to do other
- 5:28Speaker 3: than just to go show face is now getting called
- 5:31Speaker 3: like real things.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Like even her mom is like stay off the internet.
- 5:37Speaker 1: And she's beautiful understanding.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the thing that people to be because we're
- 5:43Speaker 2: giving them a say.
- 5:43Speaker 1: So now they think that no, but that's Easton. It
- 5:46Speaker 1: is normal for people to have a say. That is,
- 5:49Speaker 1: we have voices, we should always use them. But and
- 5:52Speaker 1: it's happening on the valley now too. Like anytime someone
- 5:56Speaker 1: enters this world, this vortex people, it gives them the
- 6:01Speaker 1: right to say whatever the fuck they want.
- 6:03Speaker 2: That's why I brought Bravo into it when.
- 6:04Speaker 1: It's productive, please sound off. I literally posted a clip
- 6:10Speaker 1: of our Q and a bonus that we did last
- 6:12Speaker 1: week and my hot take on the Valley, and I
- 6:17Speaker 1: asked people in the comments section on the Give Them
- 6:20Speaker 1: Lalla pod page, how do we feel about this season
- 6:23Speaker 1: of the Valley? Please make your comments productive. I don't
- 6:28Speaker 1: need to see these like hateful, venomously want you.
- 6:31Speaker 3: To a certain person about the thing as as a whole,
- 6:36Speaker 3: Like I just don't like the way it's vibing, the
- 6:38Speaker 3: way people are getting along, not just outing somebody.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I don't love that this person always goes below the belt.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Productive love it, but it is wild out there right now.
- 6:50Speaker 1: It's it's so intense that it's really really shitty that
- 6:55Speaker 1: there's so many times where I look at my kids
- 6:58Speaker 1: and I'm like, I'm just so happy right now. I'm
- 7:01Speaker 1: in my bubble. I'm not really out there like that.
- 7:05Speaker 1: And then I remember, oh shit, I have to be
- 7:08Speaker 1: out there like that because I have bills to pay
- 7:10Speaker 1: and I always wanted to be an entertainment So I
- 7:14Speaker 1: have to be on Instagram. I have to you know,
- 7:18Speaker 1: be here. I have to maintain a level of relevance.
- 7:21Speaker 1: To where people are commenting and interacting. I no longer
- 7:26Speaker 1: have the luxury to be like I'm going to delete
- 7:28Speaker 1: my Instagram. I just want to like be a mom
- 7:32Speaker 1: and make lunches because that's where I feel peaceful. I
- 7:36Speaker 1: and then it dawns on me. We have bills to pay.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Yeah, so.
- 7:42Speaker 1: It's just a different I don't know when it switched
- 7:44Speaker 1: to where people have so much hate in them to
- 7:48Speaker 1: just spew everywhere, and in the same breath they're saying,
- 7:53Speaker 1: so someone needs to get therapy. They're watching someone on
- 7:55Speaker 1: TV saying they need therapy, and then rage commenting.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I'm like the one thing thinking mirror that Calvin said
- 8:03Speaker 3: that actually stuck and like he said his like his
- 8:05Speaker 3: was nowhere near this, but like he was saying, it's
- 8:09Speaker 3: nice that, like it was nice to be able to
- 8:12Speaker 3: do what he did without having the people have a say.
- 8:16Speaker 2: That's all.
- 8:17Speaker 1: It was like you were living in authentic moments. You
- 8:21Speaker 1: weren't living for Oh, I want the vote, so I
- 8:23Speaker 1: need to it's more calculated.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm going to, you know, curate this relationship with
- 8:30Speaker 3: this person because I actually like them. No one has
- 8:32Speaker 3: a say when we get to the final people get
- 8:35Speaker 3: to say who they liked best of the relationship, who
- 8:39Speaker 3: was actually authentic sore.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Now it's like you're just voting for.
- 8:45Speaker 3: The person you just like best, which is fine, but
- 8:48Speaker 3: it's not the couple like Huda is, Like I I
- 8:52Speaker 3: like Huda just to let everybody else know. I think
- 8:54Speaker 3: she's great. She's authentically her. She's nuts in her own
- 8:59Speaker 3: you know, in her own love.
- 9:01Speaker 2: And that's the other thing. People are like, why is
- 9:03Speaker 2: so many people?
- 9:04Speaker 3: It's like because hood is a crash out, and everybody
- 9:06Speaker 3: loves to watch a crash out.
- 9:07Speaker 2: We all love to.
- 9:08Speaker 3: See an accident, right rubber necking, and hooda is a
- 9:11Speaker 3: walking accident.
- 9:13Speaker 2: We love to see it.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Oh relatable.
- 9:16Speaker 2: But that's the thing. I mean, I'm a walking accident.
- 9:19Speaker 1: You're a people who are walking accidents. And I love
- 9:23Speaker 1: people who cannot help but to be anything but themselves.
- 9:26Speaker 2: But that's the thing, Like, it's she's just her.
- 9:29Speaker 3: But now people are like calming death threats, this and that,
- 9:31Speaker 3: and it's like, calm down, We've given you too much.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Say let's take that.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Away, abused, Like America's got talent, there's where we need
- 9:41Speaker 3: your voices.
- 9:42Speaker 1: You know, that's a bummer that I'm hearing that because
- 9:44Speaker 1: I really wanted the.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Bonus theme to be summer fling.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Yeah, like kind of like love islandy like summer fleeings
- 9:52Speaker 1: or like was it a fail or like very like Greece.
- 9:55Speaker 1: You know where they're all singing, Tell me more, tell
- 9:58Speaker 1: me I hear a about it all.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Let me hear about because they're all twenty three twenty four.
- 10:03Speaker 1: They should call it voters Island.
- 10:06Speaker 2: They should call it the Hunger Island.
- 10:09Speaker 1: They should call it the Vote.
- 10:10Speaker 3: The vote there it is, yeah, because like here's the thing.
- 10:14Speaker 3: You could have the best relationship with Doug, okay, and
- 10:19Speaker 3: it's real authentic.
- 10:20Speaker 1: You like you, I love Doug, Doug and I are
- 10:22Speaker 1: you get married?
- 10:22Speaker 2: You are planning children?
- 10:24Speaker 3: Okay, But Ricky over here, people are like Law and
- 10:27Speaker 3: Ricky need to be together. We need to vote that together. No,
- 10:31Speaker 3: you and Ricky you're just friends. You like Ricky playing
- 10:34Speaker 3: the women. You don't need to be played. You and
- 10:36Speaker 3: Doug are doing fine.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Okay.
- 10:38Speaker 3: The vote puts you a Doug or with Ricky because
- 10:40Speaker 3: everybody wants to see you and Ricky because you're a
- 10:43Speaker 3: great one.
- 10:44Speaker 2: So that forces you into Ricky.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Now, you and Doug, your authenticity of who you guys
- 10:50Speaker 3: are in a is separated.
- 10:52Speaker 1: So maybe the show should be called the Arrangement.
- 10:55Speaker 3: The arrangement we're getting somewhere, so we're getting somewhere.
- 11:00Speaker 2: But honestly, I don't like Love Island.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Ah, well, you're the only one know. There's a couple
- 11:08Speaker 3: of normies like me.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I don't. I don't like secondhand embarrassment, and I don't.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Like you should never watch reality TV.
- 11:16Speaker 3: No, No, that's why when you're like you.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Have to watch other people. I've had it for my
- 11:21Speaker 1: own self, you.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Know, I get it. When I get it for somebody else,
- 11:24Speaker 3: it's almost worse than it is for me because I
- 11:26Speaker 3: feel so bad for you.
- 11:27Speaker 2: But when it happens to me, I'm like, I don't care,
- 11:29Speaker 2: shake it off, shake it off this. I can't watch it,
- 11:33Speaker 2: and like, oh, it's so just cringey.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Some of the conversations they have with these women. I'm
- 11:41Speaker 3: telling you, turn it off.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Cringey for I watch anybody have to have like conversations
- 11:51Speaker 1: with their unless they've been together for like years on act,
- 11:54Speaker 1: anybody just meeting like even for me, I'm like, you're
- 11:58Speaker 1: not gonna film me going out to like meet somebody. No,
- 12:01Speaker 1: I don't know how to do that with cameras are
- 12:03Speaker 1: on me. Now you want to film me doing it?
- 12:06Speaker 2: What? I yes, could you have?
- 12:12Speaker 3: I can't even imagine going on a date and being like, oh,
- 12:14Speaker 3: and by the way it's filmed.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I'd be like, I can't wait to not say me
- 12:18Speaker 2: and I had to do a date. The hatfish.
- 12:21Speaker 1: He hatfish. Mom told me the and I'm not going
- 12:25Speaker 1: to out him. Mom told me the other day, you
- 12:27Speaker 1: have to watch this episode of Watch Happens Live because
- 12:33Speaker 1: I saw a guy on there that's really cute and
- 12:36Speaker 1: I think you'd be into it. So I'm watching and
- 12:39Speaker 1: I pause it and I immediately get on Instagram and
- 12:43Speaker 1: he's always in a hat, and I was like, it's
- 12:47Speaker 1: not happening because there was a guy that did.
- 12:52Speaker 3: You see him without a hat? Though this gentleman was
- 12:55Speaker 3: on wal now you haven't even seen him.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Without a hat never he had a hat on. He
- 12:59Speaker 1: had a hat on his He wears a hat on.
- 13:01Speaker 3: His show We Need Did you look up just like
- 13:04Speaker 3: on Google like hat out.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Of hat, hats, hats, hats hats and you know Dad
- 13:10Speaker 1: was weird like that too, And then he shaved his
- 13:12Speaker 1: whole head and I was like you're a fucking star.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Dad. Dad is kind of like Joe, who's Joe Nick
- 13:20Speaker 3: and Joe. Joe says he looks terrible in hats and
- 13:23Speaker 3: he won't wear him. Dad hated wearing hats. Oh if
- 13:27Speaker 3: I was just a bit older, I could have helped
- 13:29Speaker 3: you out.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Oh you helped him. You're the one that told him
- 13:32Speaker 1: to shave his head and he did and he looked
- 13:33Speaker 1: so good.
- 13:35Speaker 2: He What a man?
- 13:37Speaker 1: What a man? What a man? Do you have a
- 13:40Speaker 1: summer fling or summer fail? We're all wrapped up in one.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I feel like it's a fling and fail if it
- 13:46Speaker 1: doesn't work.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Fling, Yeah, I mean a fling is always a fail.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I mean fling, isn't that.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I think a fling just means like it's supposed to be,
- 13:53Speaker 1: like this is for right now.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, I had a couple, but.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I mean you just know, you know, no, because I'm
- 14:02Speaker 1: not a man, I get emotionally attached.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Oh see, like I only had like two summer flings
- 14:08Speaker 3: where it was like but we actually talked. She was
- 14:10Speaker 3: like we were just chatting and she was like, Hey,
- 14:13Speaker 3: I don't want anything, but it would be fun to
- 14:14Speaker 3: do this.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Would you be an interest.
- 14:16Speaker 3: So I was like, yh yeah, you know we did
- 14:18Speaker 3: it and even like once it like became winter and
- 14:20Speaker 3: I respect her.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I didn't catch feelings.
- 14:22Speaker 3: She was great, but after like it was getting come
- 14:25Speaker 3: like cuddle season, you know, like this, Yeah, the pumpkin
- 14:28Speaker 3: spice was coming out.
- 14:30Speaker 1: And she was like, hey, made it into the fall.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Well almost, we were going in there and that's when
- 14:34Speaker 3: she was like, hey, this is where like I kind
- 14:36Speaker 3: of needed to be away. I catch feelings because of NA.
- 14:40Speaker 3: She was like, so we're done. I was like, all right,
- 14:43Speaker 3: sounds good.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Still chatting and still.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Talk emotionally intelligent human.
- 14:48Speaker 2: No, she had her shit together. That was the last.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Fling, So of course, why would you ever want to
- 14:52Speaker 1: commit to her. She's emotionally stable, has her shit together.
- 14:56Speaker 2: We don't want that.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Well, let's put it this way. If she liked me,
- 15:00Speaker 3: she would have been like, let's try this out.
- 15:02Speaker 1: But she said she catches feelings, so like you're.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Indy, he knew if she kind of liked me, should she.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Let the ball into your court and you dropped it?
- 15:11Speaker 1: You want to hear my summer fling.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Never had one.
- 15:14Speaker 1: That's absolutely untrue. I'm going to use two of the
- 15:16Speaker 1: most recents because they kind of overlapped and fizzled both
- 15:20Speaker 1: of them very quickly. The first one he was amazing introduced,
- 15:26Speaker 1: so I guess for me, for him, it was probably
- 15:28Speaker 1: a summer fling. For me, it was like, oh, this
- 15:30Speaker 1: could like potentially go somewhere. He we had met in
- 15:37Speaker 1: the fall, and he somewhat I want to say, he
- 15:43Speaker 1: loved bombed me. And I met him through a friend
- 15:46Speaker 1: of mine, and I remember going to New York and
- 15:50Speaker 1: I had been talking to a basketball player who now
- 15:53Speaker 1: was living in New York, right, and he was texting
- 15:57Speaker 1: me this guy will call him Bruce, call him Marvin.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I like Marvin butter Marvin. Marvin was texting me like
- 16:04Speaker 1: love bombing me. I saw him the night before I
- 16:07Speaker 1: left for New York, and I was super giddy because
- 16:09Speaker 1: I was going to New York to see this other
- 16:10Speaker 1: guy we'll call him Trey. So I'm so proud of
- 16:13Speaker 1: Marvin sends me this like love letter and I'm like, wow,
- 16:16Speaker 1: this is like a little strong, but because me, I'm
- 16:19Speaker 1: used to love bombers, and I think that that's intimate
- 16:22Speaker 1: and cute rather than red flag, I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 16:26Speaker 1: I like him and he's like six or five, built,
- 16:29Speaker 1: incredibly well, not urpy. He has tattoos everywhere, like totally
- 16:35Speaker 1: my type. So hot. So I get back to LA
- 16:38Speaker 1: to see him after I hang with Trey, and I'm like,
- 16:42Speaker 1: I think that, like this is someone I really am into.
- 16:46Speaker 1: He ends up like just falling off the face of
- 16:49Speaker 1: the earth, like sends me one really cute text one night.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I text him the next day responding because I go
- 16:57Speaker 1: to bed at nine, responding never here for him again,
- 17:00Speaker 1: you guys gone. I thought he died. I called my friend.
- 17:03Speaker 1: I was like, yo, dude, like, is Marvin good? She
- 17:06Speaker 1: was like, yeah, he's fine. We shaw him like last weekend.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I'm like, piece of shit. While summer rolls around and
- 17:14Speaker 1: Marvin reappears and I'm thrilled about it. I'm thrilled about it.
- 17:19Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, Marvin's back. I'm super hyped.
- 17:23Speaker 1: We hang out, We do all of the things that
- 17:25Speaker 1: people do, and we're like going out together. So it's
- 17:30Speaker 1: not like we're just kicking it at someone's house. We're
- 17:33Speaker 1: seeing each.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Other and you're seen by people out and about. Correct.
- 17:37Speaker 1: He's coming with my friends, I'm going with his There's
- 17:39Speaker 1: a night in August, Okay, And he says to me,
- 17:45Speaker 1: I would like you to start staying the night, like
- 17:49Speaker 1: when you don't have your daughter and she's with her dad, Like,
- 17:54Speaker 1: could you start staying the night. And I said to him,
- 17:58Speaker 1: I don't love that. I yeah, because I get attached,
- 18:04Speaker 1: so that makes me nervous. Never heard from him again,
- 18:09Speaker 1: Never heard from him again. He's gone, gone, wiped off
- 18:14Speaker 1: the face of the earth. I don't fucking know.
- 18:17Speaker 2: He's out of La Law's world. He's out of law Lawland.
- 18:20Speaker 1: He certainly is cut to this tray guy. He invites
- 18:26Speaker 1: me out to a bar. I have to do other things.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I'm working while I'm in New York. And I tell
- 18:34Speaker 1: him I'm going to go grab dinner with some girlfriends
- 18:36Speaker 1: and then I'll let you know where I'm at. He says,
- 18:41Speaker 1: I'm coming. I'm going home from this bar. Just meet
- 18:43Speaker 1: me at my house. So I go to the house.
- 18:47Speaker 1: I'm on my way there and he's we're texting on
- 18:51Speaker 1: the way there, and he says, where did you tell
- 18:53Speaker 1: your friends you were going. I said, I told my
- 18:56Speaker 1: friends I was coming to kick it with you. He
- 19:01Speaker 1: lost He didn't lose his mind, but he was like,
- 19:04Speaker 1: you know I don't like my business out there like that.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I call him on the phone. I'm in the uber
- 19:10Speaker 1: on the way there right. I say, here's the fucking deal, bro,
- 19:14Speaker 1: I need you to understand. You're not Lebron James. No
- 19:19Speaker 1: one gives one fuck about you. I'm not Kim Kardashian.
- 19:22Speaker 1: No one gives a fuck about me. If someone were
- 19:23Speaker 1: to see the two of us out, no one would
- 19:25Speaker 1: think a thing about it, and my friends certainly wouldn't
- 19:29Speaker 1: think a thing about it. So I arrive outside his
- 19:33Speaker 1: door and he was like, you're here. I'm gonna come
- 19:34Speaker 1: down and grab you and we can talk about it.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I was like, I'm not coming in. I've actually just
- 19:39Speaker 1: rebooked this uber to take me back to the city
- 19:41Speaker 1: brow So I leave. I want to see if I
- 19:45Speaker 1: still have this text, because if I do, I want
- 19:49Speaker 1: to read it to you. Because I was so fucking
- 19:51Speaker 1: proud of myself, I may have deleted it. Uugh Hudson,
- 19:57Speaker 1: that's not his name. I just used that word. I
- 20:02Speaker 1: basically told this fool. I said, here's the deal about
- 20:06Speaker 1: last night. I need to get this off my chest.
- 20:09Speaker 1: The reason I told my friends I was going with
- 20:12Speaker 1: you was number one it's not a big deal. I
- 20:13Speaker 1: told people what I was going to do. Number two,
- 20:17Speaker 1: I don't know you. Let's just say you choose to
- 20:21Speaker 1: murder me. I dumped my body in the Hudson. I'm
- 20:25Speaker 1: going to need my friends to be able to tell
- 20:27Speaker 1: the police. The last person I was with Bro and
- 20:30Speaker 1: then I never spoke to him again. He was like,
- 20:32Speaker 1: I would never hurt you, and I was like, well,
- 20:35Speaker 1: you hurt my heart.
- 20:37Speaker 2: I would never hurt you, said Freddy Krueger. Fuck.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Those are my most recent summer flings.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Yeah, those are tip top notch. Did we get any
- 20:50Speaker 3: from the listeners?
- 20:51Speaker 1: Oh? I got two really funny ones from the listeners.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Sorry, I forgot about him. It was that one question.
- 21:00Speaker 1: No, but I posted this and most people are just
- 21:04Speaker 1: asking random questions like what being like, what's what's your
- 21:08Speaker 1: worst summer fleeing. I'm like, oh, this is about for
- 21:10Speaker 1: you guys, is how's your eye? I'm like, I'm looking
- 21:15Speaker 1: for summer flings. So this one from kluts and a
- 21:20Speaker 1: half one oh one says I was in a relationship
- 21:24Speaker 1: for most of my end of high school slash undergraduate
- 21:27Speaker 1: college time. The year I turned twenty one, my birthday
- 21:30Speaker 1: was Memorial Day weekend. Hey.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Same.
- 21:32Speaker 1: So I was kicking off my first single summer in
- 21:35Speaker 1: a very long time as a twenty one year old.
- 21:37Speaker 1: I met this adorable guy, very handsome. We met each
- 21:40Speaker 1: other at a few parties through my very good friend.
- 21:43Speaker 1: I went on one date with him. We walked to
- 21:45Speaker 1: the Brooklyn Bridge, we went to a park, we went
- 21:47Speaker 1: to a delicious pizzeria. It was like a fairy tale day.
- 21:50Speaker 1: We went back to his apartment and had the longest,
- 21:52Speaker 1: most silent, horrible sex I've ever had in my life.
- 21:56Speaker 1: It was so quiet you could hear people walking in
- 22:00Speaker 1: the halls in the apartment building and people talking outside.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Big summer fail. Flash forward five years and he's finally
- 22:09Speaker 1: out as gay. So mystery saw.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I was just about to say. Five years later, we
- 22:14Speaker 2: named our kid Frank and.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Coming back from quiet intimacy pet well unless unless you're
- 22:22Speaker 1: watching like a show or like, you know.
- 22:25Speaker 3: What, I'm doing this to see if I like it,
- 22:27Speaker 3: And in the middle of it, he's.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Like, what, I don't like it. I don't like it.
- 22:31Speaker 2: I don't like it at all, like crying, He's like,
- 22:35Speaker 2: poor guy.
- 22:36Speaker 1: PS met my husband at the end of this summer
- 22:38Speaker 1: and We're married seven years with two beautiful baby girls.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Oh congrats.
- 22:43Speaker 1: So her summer fail ended up being a marriage the
- 22:48Speaker 1: like brightest future of her life, she said, husband, right, Yeah,
- 22:52Speaker 1: they've been married.
- 22:54Speaker 2: I know.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Malcaurri Connor told me his ex was crazy, kicked her
- 23:00Speaker 1: out of the house, got her pregnant as we were dating.
- 23:04Speaker 3: Sorry for laughing, that's just like I.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Got kidding you. So many people deserve reality TV shows.
- 23:11Speaker 2: I'm sorry, That's what I'm saying.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Though, I'm like, hold on, everyone is so judgmental in
- 23:17Speaker 1: the comments section, and I'm like, bitch, if I were
- 23:19Speaker 1: to put a camera, you would make fabulous TV and
- 23:22Speaker 1: we would all be commenting on how fucked up your
- 23:25Speaker 1: situation is.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Well, that's the other thing. It's like, yeah, throwing rocks
- 23:29Speaker 3: at your glasshouse.
- 23:30Speaker 1: We're all living in glasshouses, talking rocks, shattering our own
- 23:34Speaker 1: damn houses. It's like, when are we gonna learn.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Just a bunch of hypocrites we are? I know It's fine.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Though, my listeners and friends, fan base, my hoace, my pod,
- 23:50Speaker 1: I have never seen any of them go into a
- 23:54Speaker 1: comment section and lift me up while dragging someone else down.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Where I have so many people who are fans of
- 24:03Speaker 1: other people, and they'll tear me down to build someone
- 24:09Speaker 1: else up. And my my homies have never like I've
- 24:12Speaker 1: never seen that. They're like totally normal and chill. Yeah,
- 24:15Speaker 1: And a lot of people are close with their moms.
- 24:17Speaker 2: I like that we love our mom.
- 24:19Speaker 1: I love when someone comes up to me and they're like,
- 24:21Speaker 1: my mom loves you.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Also, one thing that I have to say on this
- 24:24Speaker 3: podcast because I've had it the last couple of days.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Or past couple of weeks.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Okay, when you guys see this beautiful lady my sister out,
- 24:34Speaker 3: please do not be afraid because people you'll like it
- 24:37Speaker 3: was a time where we were ordering like Wetzel's pretzels
- 24:40Speaker 3: and then like another food from a different place, and
- 24:44Speaker 3: like you order and like you go back and you
- 24:47Speaker 3: take the stuff to the kids, and like every time
- 24:48Speaker 3: they're like, I just want to tell you how much
- 24:51Speaker 3: I love her. And it's like, tell her it's really
- 24:54Speaker 3: if you are listening to this, tell her. She likes
- 24:57Speaker 3: to hear it just as much as I like hearing
- 24:59Speaker 3: it about her, So that is I do. I was like,
- 25:02Speaker 3: both of us.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Like it's really good.
- 25:03Speaker 3: They were like, well, I just feel like and I'm like, no,
- 25:06Speaker 3: like she she loves it.
- 25:07Speaker 2: She wants it, so yes, because you don't tell me
- 25:10Speaker 2: you don't like it, you love it. Well, No, it
- 25:11Speaker 2: feels great.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Of course it feels great, especially because I feel like
- 25:16Speaker 1: the past few years, my safest space is just in
- 25:18Speaker 1: my little bubble. So when I kind of go out
- 25:21Speaker 1: and I'm seen, it's very vulnerable for me. I don't
- 25:25Speaker 1: want to say I've lost my confidence, but it has
- 25:27Speaker 1: been dinged.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Here's the thing. You haven't lost it. You just have
- 25:31Speaker 2: a child under one.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Let's put it that way, Like you'll you'll figure like
- 25:35Speaker 3: you're gonna get all that.
- 25:37Speaker 2: That what you think you've lost, You haven't lost it.
- 25:41Speaker 2: You're just a.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Mother to a nine ten month old. Yeah, and once
- 25:46Speaker 3: you get there. You did it with Ocean, you'll do
- 25:48Speaker 3: it with her.
- 25:49Speaker 2: You just mode. Yes.
- 25:50Speaker 1: But I used to be able to put on armor
- 25:52Speaker 1: when I would go out into the real world or
- 25:54Speaker 1: enter Instagram or TikTok. It was like I was and
- 25:59Speaker 1: like different. I don't want to say a different person,
- 26:02Speaker 1: but it was like something that happened subconsciously where I
- 26:04Speaker 1: was like, I'm tough, this is who I portray out here, can.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I see that's what you're gonna hit again.
- 26:09Speaker 1: You're gonna just well, see, I don't know since having SOSA,
- 26:13Speaker 1: and it could be postpartum hormones, it could be PTSD
- 26:16Speaker 1: from you know, the last time I was on TV.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Whatever the case. The line is, so it's non existent
- 26:26Speaker 1: now like me at home and who I go out
- 26:29Speaker 1: into the world as feel very uh one and the same.
- 26:34Speaker 1: I feel like I have zero protector And in a way,
- 26:38Speaker 1: I feel like that's another reason why, like even like
- 26:43Speaker 1: summer fleeings, dating, the whole thing, it's like, you know what,
- 26:45Speaker 1: we're just good right now. We're good in our piece,
- 26:48Speaker 1: We're good in our safe space, and I'm gonna know.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna feel it when it's right and it's not trauma,
- 26:55Speaker 1: it's not any of those things. We've talked about this
- 26:57Speaker 1: a million one times. I feel like it's all we've
- 26:59Speaker 1: been talking about for the past two years, four years.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I'm going to know when the time is right to
- 27:05Speaker 1: re enter that world.
- 27:09Speaker 3: And exactly, And that's where I'm saying, like you feel
- 27:12Speaker 3: this way now, yeah, but subconsciously, there's just going to
- 27:16Speaker 3: be a turn and you'll it's going to happen. And
- 27:19Speaker 3: right now, you just got a nine and ten month old?
- 27:21Speaker 2: What is she.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Ten months?
- 27:24Speaker 3: So that right there is where I'm like, Okay, of
- 27:26Speaker 3: course your armor's down. You're very protective of her, You're
- 27:30Speaker 3: very you know, even you are quieter around her.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Your armor is off when you're with her. Yeah, will
- 27:37Speaker 2: come back up when things start to change, when she
- 27:40Speaker 2: gets a little older. Yeah, you know. Yes. And that's
- 27:43Speaker 2: where I know you'll get it because I saw it
- 27:45Speaker 2: with Ocean.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Yeah, Ocean is a magical being.
- 27:49Speaker 2: She I could cry right now just thinking of her.
- 27:54Speaker 1: She's magical and I adorse so so when people ask
- 27:57Speaker 1: me what's the biggest difference between Ocean and So? Ocean
- 28:01Speaker 1: is an old soul. Now she hasn't fully tapped out.
- 28:04Speaker 1: She's gonna come back a few more times. But she's
- 28:06Speaker 1: been here before, Sosa.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Brand new me and her brand new.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Brand new. She's like looking at everything like she's never
- 28:15Speaker 1: been here in her whole life. The way she will squeal,
- 28:20Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, you've never heard a voice before.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Yeah, she's crazy. It's so crazy how different they are
- 28:29Speaker 3: but the same. Yeah, very different.
- 28:32Speaker 2: And I can't wait for like So said, to hit
- 28:34Speaker 2: like one and a half too.
- 28:35Speaker 3: I know that freaks you out, but like for her
- 28:37Speaker 3: to just start waddling and stuff.
- 28:39Speaker 1: I'm excited for that.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I yeah, I'm do ocean is boy energy though,
- 28:47Speaker 3: I know.
- 28:48Speaker 1: But can I tell you you'd be like, hey, I would.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Jump off these stairs with me when she's one and
- 28:52Speaker 2: a half.
- 28:52Speaker 1: No, that's why I'm carpeting the stairs tomorrow. I am
- 28:55Speaker 1: getting them carpeted tomorrow. Because of that. I looked into this.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I was h with a friend of mine and she
- 29:03Speaker 1: goes off of like the the Chinese like gender calendar,
- 29:10Speaker 1: and I told her, I said, next May is when
- 29:13Speaker 1: I would like to start trying to get pregnant. She goes,
- 29:15Speaker 1: if you do conceive in May, you'll have a boy,
- 29:19Speaker 1: and she goes every single person that I have done
- 29:22Speaker 1: this with, like, wouldn't was said to be a girl during?
- 29:26Speaker 1: What is it?
- 29:27Speaker 2: Would if you got May, wouldn't it be February? Yeah?
- 29:32Speaker 1: I had to count on my fingers.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Before, don't worry. I was counting on the side of.
- 29:37Speaker 1: The couch and I was I'm like, maybe I do.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Maybe I'm okay with a boy.
- 29:42Speaker 3: You know, I'll have kids myself. I know that, but
- 29:46Speaker 3: I for you, would love for you to have a boy.
- 29:49Speaker 1: And then we would call it a day.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I just would love for you to have a boy,
- 29:54Speaker 3: because I think the structure of like the family would
- 29:58Speaker 3: be really well balanced the youngest boy. Like, yes, the
- 30:02Speaker 3: sisters put him in check like Sosa and Ocean, you know, yeah,
- 30:06Speaker 3: put him in check. But like when there is danger,
- 30:09Speaker 3: that is the dude putting.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Everything else in check.
- 30:12Speaker 3: Yes, you know, And I think that's really good. Like
- 30:14Speaker 3: I love our relationship of like you're the older sister.
- 30:18Speaker 2: I love that dynamic. But like when she gets real
- 30:21Speaker 2: for mom and you like I do step up.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Of course she knows it, you know, But like the
- 30:26Speaker 3: being the youngest, I do, and I feel like it's
- 30:28Speaker 3: good for Like I don't know if I would like
- 30:30Speaker 3: to be the youngest sister, but when you're a brother
- 30:32Speaker 3: and you're the youngest, kind of you totally you know. Yeah,
- 30:36Speaker 3: he'll grow up a bit quicker. Yes, in my opinion, yep, yeah,
- 30:40Speaker 3: I think a boy would be very good for you.
- 30:41Speaker 1: All Right, Well, let's see if the Chinese calendar were
- 30:43Speaker 1: and I would.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Love to be will be Yeah, another little nephew, Yeah.
- 30:48Speaker 1: That would be sweet. Back to summer flings. This will
- 30:53Speaker 1: be my last one. This was like not a podcast. It.
- 30:57Speaker 2: I feel like I've just been alban.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Summer Tangents, Samantha two a's one two two. Wish I
- 31:05Speaker 1: was sexcapading, haven't had sex in four years? Ready to
- 31:09Speaker 1: hot back on one. I'm twenty four. I find that.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Twenty four and she hasn't had sex and help, but
- 31:14Speaker 2: she was twenty good for you? I think that could.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Let me tell you, I just think that that sounds smart.
- 31:20Speaker 2: No, it is.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Yeah, it's basically freaking deal.
- 31:25Speaker 3: And I hate to maybe say it, but like, even
- 31:28Speaker 3: if she goes and has sex, she's gonna be so
- 31:31Speaker 3: disappointed if it's not somebody she's.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Actually interested in.
- 31:35Speaker 3: You have waited so long that you have to find
- 31:38Speaker 3: somebody you actually are emotionally attached to.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Like enough, yeah, yeah, Like if I.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Were just like I've got it, I got it, that's
- 31:46Speaker 1: what things not men, and I don't want it.
- 31:49Speaker 2: I think that's the other thing.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Like as a man, like I couldn't just be like,
- 31:52Speaker 3: there's fifteen girls right here, I just gotta pick.
- 31:55Speaker 2: One and have sex.
- 31:56Speaker 3: I'd be like, no, let me have like some sort
- 31:59Speaker 3: of relationship with you.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Yeah, let me get to know conversation.
- 32:03Speaker 1: She just sounds like a very mature twenty four year old.
- 32:06Speaker 1: And some people will maybe say that's not healthy, she
- 32:10Speaker 1: needs to do this.
- 32:11Speaker 2: I think it's too healthy and too healthy? Is too great?
- 32:15Speaker 1: Too healthy? Too great?
- 32:17Speaker 2: Wow? I love that when people are like that's too healthy.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, sorry, but is that even a real thing?
- 32:23Speaker 1: Because I hear about these people. They're like Steve was,
- 32:27Speaker 1: you know, so active, he ran five miles a day,
- 32:30Speaker 1: was a biker, had a heart attack and died. And
- 32:32Speaker 1: then I'm looking at this ninety seven year old and
- 32:34Speaker 1: all she does twenty packs a day and SIPs whiskey,
- 32:38Speaker 1: and I see that what is your Yeah, stress, any
- 32:43Speaker 1: type of stress will kill you before anything else.
- 32:45Speaker 3: But like they're like, so what do you what do
- 32:48Speaker 3: you contribute to living this long term?
- 32:50Speaker 2: They're like the grandma's like.
- 32:51Speaker 3: I have a package hanger atte to day, whiskey in
- 32:54Speaker 3: the morning, bacon.
