  [SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguars fans welcome in to do vault daily presented by jing Jack.com I'm Jordan Luger thanks so much for being here Friday May 8th and we're getting into rookie meeting camp so right now we're gonna talk about my expectations or what I think should be the expectations for each of the Jaguars rookie draft picks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then later on, we'll do a rookie mini camp preview and talk about things you want to see, don't want to see, et cetera, during rookie mini camp.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So looking at the Jaguar's rookie class, first pick at 56 overall, Nate Borkerture, what are my expectations for Nate Borkerture in 2026?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, when the tied-in to job, doesn't have to be immediately because like Quentin Morris is a good player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Fairly really on in the season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: First half of the season, I mean, this guy needs to be on the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I feel strongly about that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And just kind of silence the critics to me, like it's clear he has quality hands.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's clear that he can win from an athletic perspective and size perspective and toughness.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He can block, like, I'm not worried about his,

  [SPEAKER_00]: skill set or his toughness, but just do what you've been doing, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Do what you've been doing, keep leveling up and developing within this offense and when the tie-in to job and look good while you're doing it, you don't have any crazy expectations.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Albert Regis, third round pick, 81 overall, to me the expectation

  [SPEAKER_00]: And his tape shows he's a good run defender.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's moments where he can't hold up against doubles because he's not big and strong enough.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, Devon Hamilton is one of the strongest dudes you'll ever see in the NFL.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like 99th percentile strength, I think, honestly.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not saying that like based on, you know, the,

  [SPEAKER_00]: on the bench, but like just on the field, Devon Hamilton is so strong.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Regis, he's not as strong, but he's, you know, a little quicker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Just show when you're on the field that you can play the run and play with effort, which we saw consistently at Texas A&M, and you'll be fine.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like that's all you really need to show if you're out with Regis.

  [SPEAKER_00]: because that's why you are drafted.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You are drafted to play the run and to play with high effort.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like specifically, read just high effort because that's all over his tape.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Just like effort plays that you don't normally see from a defensive tackle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It'd be great if he could get his hands on the football too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like he batted 10 passes at the line of skirmish over the last two years.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That would be nice to see of that could translate to the next level.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't think there's any reason he shouldn't be competing for a starting job.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And that he doesn't have to win it immediately, but like, you need to be pushing, McCary and Miloam, and, you know, I have a hard time believing as a Cleveland is in any sort of jeopardy of not being the Jaguar starting left guard.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He just played really well the last couple years in my mind.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think the combo of him and Colman landed on the left side really works.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, but yeah, manual prognone, he played mostly left guard the last several years in college.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He has some right guard experience, but I just want to see him going out there on the practice field, kicking, but not making a ton of mistakes, and you know, looking like the player, everybody thought would go in the top 50.

  [SPEAKER_00]: heard a Cameron wolf report yesterday because everybody asked me okay why was he available at 88 like my answer is honestly i don't know Jason from jack wise united has said that some coaches have said maybe a little bit slow to pick up you know playbooks and such i didn't see that on tape but uh i came on wolf also reported that there was some medical questions

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that could explain a little bit of a fall for a manual pregnant on.

  [SPEAKER_00]: When it comes to Jalen Husky, expectations for him this year, I mean, play well on special teams.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Pass around laying on the depth chart.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, currently I think of the Jaguar as good into three safety sets.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Eric Murray and Tonya Johnson, Kayla Branson.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If somebody goes down, like, can you pass Rayon Lane?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that he should be able to.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he should be able to with his skillset, his fire and Rayon Lane plays with fire too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think that Husky is a better athlete, I think that he's more physical, better tackler,

  [SPEAKER_00]: has shown more ball skills like get out and versatility too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, if for some reason there's an injury, Jalen Husky, you should prove that you're safety three during your rookie year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Safety four, but if there's an injury that third safety that comes on the field, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Wesley Williams, my goals for him would be stat against the run when you get on the field

  [SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, like, I would love to see them try to utilize him as an interior Russia.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he showed he can do that at East West Schreinball, but like, I don't have any big expectations.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars obviously traded up to land him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And how about we get a block kick?

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's blocked a bunch of kicks throughout his career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So star on special teams if you're Wesley Williams, when you're asked to get on the field as a base defensive end, set the edge.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't have to be crazy, but like show, show something.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Tanner Koziel in round five, I suspect he has potentially a track to become the third Titan.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And Oakwood Morris will not make it easy on these guys, because Morris is a good player in his own right.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Good blocker and has solid hands, decent athleticism.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But for me, obviously, make the team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It could be difficult for some of these people to make the team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you get on the field, which you just might not get on the field much, Quinn Morris, he's fine for his job, fine for his career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Borchature and Brent and Strange are going to be

  [SPEAKER_00]: How about, you know, just beat out a hundred long.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'd be good with that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Josh Cameron, show that you can win on Inside Routs across the middle of the field, show that you can block your butt off and show that you can compete on special teams.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, don't drop the football.

  [SPEAKER_00]: CJ Williams, make the team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: everybody hated on this pick so much you know he's in the 600's on the consensus board whatever but for me CJ Williams just make the team if you can make the team that would be a really good step in the right direction for your young career and for the Jaguar's draft class sacked earthy same thing make the team make the dang team uh you're seven-dron pick

  [SPEAKER_00]: What do they need to do to make the team?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if you're CJ Williams, you got to show that you can execute on offense, but you got to compete on special teams.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Grow as a defense event, slash outside linebacker, compete your butt off on special teams.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the guy runs like the wind, Parker Hughes does.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So and it's actor if he is a great athlete too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: All three of these guys, that's their path to the rosters, special teams, and Josh Cameron to an extent as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think that Josh Cameron probably has the inside track compared to those guys to actually have a role like on offense or defense, which for Cameron, it's obviously on the offense

  [SPEAKER_00]: This class doesn't have huge expectations.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, caricature, you want him to be your starter in 12.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Albert Regis, you want him to be a good rotational run defender, manual pregnon, compete for a starting job.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Beyond that, it's not a lot of expectations.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that that can be good for them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're not being thrust into these large roles.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, come along at your own pace, sort of deal.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But we'll talk about the expectations in rookie mini camp, because those are a little bit different.
