- 0:00Speaker 1: Oh, what do you think of your What do you
- 0:02Speaker 1: think at this point of your offense about it? I
- 0:05Speaker 1: like our progress, We're getting there. I think we just
- 0:08Speaker 1: have to keep doing the things that are going to
- 0:10Speaker 1: cause us to win and limit to things that are
- 0:11Speaker 1: going to cause us to lose. We've got to keep
- 0:13Speaker 1: working on that every day, whether it's turnovers, PRESNT penalties,
- 0:18Speaker 1: which we've be done doing a much better job with
- 0:21Speaker 1: so I'm really pleased with that. But in the end,
- 0:23Speaker 1: it's going to come down to being explosive, holding onto
- 0:26Speaker 1: the football, putting the defense in a good position, the
- 0:29Speaker 1: team in a good position, and I think we're on
- 0:31Speaker 1: the way to doing that. We just got to have
- 0:33Speaker 1: a great week of practice here to kind of I
- 0:35Speaker 1: told them this week is kind of our crucible, right,
- 0:37Speaker 1: We're going to kind of forge ourselves this week into
- 0:39Speaker 1: what we want to be. So we kind of did
- 0:42Speaker 1: that last week, and I thought we had a really
- 0:43Speaker 1: good week of practice offensively, and now we've got to
- 0:46Speaker 1: do that again even more so and finish strong, finish
- 0:48Speaker 1: the week strong, and that's the goal this week, to
- 0:50Speaker 1: kind of make ourselves into what we want to be
- 0:52Speaker 1: for the season. Where do you stand with your quarterbacks.
- 0:55Speaker 1: It's still up in the air. We'll see both guys
- 0:57Speaker 1: are getting a shot. You know, Nick, right now, I
- 1:00Speaker 1: was just we're letting him rest a little bit his legs,
- 1:02Speaker 1: just to get him healthy. Nothing, nothing bad. He'll be fine,
- 1:05Speaker 1: and in a day or two he's still taking all
- 1:07Speaker 1: the seven on seven. We just want him to get
- 1:09Speaker 1: his throws in and limit his wear and tear on
- 1:12Speaker 1: his legs. I think Joe's playing well. I think Cole
- 1:15Speaker 1: Welver's playing well, and Tuck's playing well. We'll pleased with
- 1:17Speaker 1: all those guys. They've gotten a lot better. We just
- 1:20Speaker 1: need to keep coming along because for us, you know,
- 1:22Speaker 1: the quarterback must play well to win. Whatever that role
- 1:25Speaker 1: may be. For the quarterback. We could throw it ninety times,
- 1:28Speaker 1: we could hand it off eighty times with all the
- 1:30Speaker 1: checks right to get us in the right looks. The
- 1:33Speaker 1: quarterback must play well and that's what these guys have
- 1:35Speaker 1: to do. So we put pressure on him to do that.
- 1:37Speaker 1: They had some guys dinged up on the offensive line
- 1:39Speaker 1: trying to figure out those It's been great, actually, you know,
- 1:44Speaker 1: it's unfortunate that guys have been dinged up a little bit,
- 1:47Speaker 1: but that's training camp. It's nothing major. We're just in
- 1:50Speaker 1: right now trying to kind of get guy's legs back
- 1:52Speaker 1: under him to make sure they're good to go for
- 1:54Speaker 1: the stretch of the season. The benefit of that has
- 1:57Speaker 1: been that some guys we thought were going to be
- 1:59Speaker 1: starters for us and still probably will be or at
- 2:01Speaker 1: least play. We've had some guys kind of step up
- 2:03Speaker 1: go with the ones like Brady Wayburn and Kyle Jurgens
- 2:06Speaker 1: who've done a really nice job for us. In terms
- 2:08Speaker 1: of it, it hasn't looked like a debacle. We can
- 2:10Speaker 1: still run it, We can still do we can still
- 2:12Speaker 1: run our offense with those guys in the game. So
- 2:14Speaker 1: it's been really great experience for them, which is gonna
- 2:16Speaker 1: give us a ton of depth and give them a
- 2:18Speaker 1: shot to play for us. So it's been great and
- 2:20Speaker 1: it'll be great to get these guys back, just in
- 2:22Speaker 1: terms of limiting reps for people, getting them ideal reps,
- 2:26Speaker 1: getting them the looks they need, and getting them ready
- 2:27Speaker 1: to play. What have you seen differently from last year
- 2:31Speaker 1: with Victor and Cam? Have you seen them improve? Yeah?
- 2:33Speaker 1: I think a lot of leadership. I think Cam I
- 2:36Speaker 1: would I could argue Cam is probably the most improved guy,
- 2:39Speaker 1: catches the ball well in terms of just on the
- 2:42Speaker 1: offense in general, can break tackles, kind of had a
- 2:44Speaker 1: breakout year last year and he's just even gotten better
- 2:46Speaker 1: and better. His reads have been better, is out of
- 2:49Speaker 1: the backfield, his pass protection has been better. And then
- 2:52Speaker 1: with Vic, you know, Vic's catching the ball really well.
- 2:54Speaker 1: He's become a weapon for us run and pass. You know,
- 2:57Speaker 1: when he does get his carriage, he's always a threat
- 2:58Speaker 1: to hit a home run for us too. And he's
- 3:00Speaker 1: done a much better job of leadership and just kind
- 3:02Speaker 1: of showing the guys the way. So it's been really
- 3:04Speaker 1: fun to watch those two guys do it. This week
- 3:06Speaker 1: is the Crucible, can you Yeah? Sure? So, I mean
- 3:10Speaker 1: obviously training camp and everything else, and you know, we
- 3:12Speaker 1: talk about Coach Moore talks about all the time hard
- 3:15Speaker 1: things are hard, but that's what we love, right, Uh.
- 3:17Speaker 1: We need to be at our best when our best
- 3:19Speaker 1: is required. And in these this time of camp, you know,
- 3:21Speaker 1: every everybody in America is banged up. Everybody in America's sword.
- 3:25Speaker 1: The teams that ascend are gonna push through and get better.
- 3:28Speaker 1: The teams that are just gonna be average are gonna
- 3:30Speaker 1: kind of let it get the best of them, and
- 3:31Speaker 1: they're gonna kind of succumb to the heat. And ah,
- 3:34Speaker 1: I'm tired and I'm this so so we really need
- 3:36Speaker 1: to forge ourselves right in the cruise bok. No different
- 3:38Speaker 1: than you know, making a sword, Okay, you know if
- 3:41Speaker 1: you want your sword to break in battle or do
- 3:43Speaker 1: you want it to carry you through the season. And
- 3:45Speaker 1: that's what we're trying to do right now. Thank you
- 3:49Speaker 1: so much, thank you, thank you.
