Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, guys, what's going on. We'llkie from Arkan's corner. I
- 0:02Speaker 1: wanted to give you guys a bit heads up before
- 0:04Speaker 1: we get into this episode. We had a little mix
- 0:07Speaker 1: up with the audio. I'm not really one hundred percent
- 0:09Speaker 1: sure what happened, but for some reason, the first half
- 0:12Speaker 1: of this is unusable. I can't use it, unfixable. I
- 0:16Speaker 1: don't know where what happened, what went wrong because the
- 0:19Speaker 1: rest of the audio turned out okay. So not one
- 0:23Speaker 1: hundred percent sure what happened. I apologize. Hopefully I can
- 0:26Speaker 1: figure it out and fix it for later use. But
- 0:30Speaker 1: we do get the last half, which is where we
- 0:32Speaker 1: talk about prophecies, and I think we might already be
- 0:36Speaker 1: a propheese or two in by the time I was
- 0:38Speaker 1: able to get it. But instead of giving no episode
- 0:41Speaker 1: this week, I figured something was better than nothing. So
- 0:44Speaker 1: I hope you guys enjoy and thank you all for listening.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Steel in ARCon Steel is pretty dark, common yeah, between
- 1:11Speaker 2: the quality of Shadows and the quality of Arcan Skyborne.
- 1:15Speaker 2: But there's a lot of cats.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Have Skyborne come out of the skivity born scibbity born? Uh?
- 1:23Speaker 1: Yet are they still scibbity born?
- 1:25Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:25Speaker 3: No?
- 1:25Speaker 2: They are going to be skibbity born forever because we
- 1:27Speaker 2: open them and sealed and.
- 1:29Speaker 1: They know they're always skivity.
- 1:31Speaker 2: But in ar Con they are a real thing or
- 1:37Speaker 2: alliance potentially.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Again, I feel like this is super middle of the road,
- 1:42Speaker 1: Like I don't know.
- 1:43Speaker 4: This is not even middle of the road. This is
- 1:44Speaker 4: a one shadows steel does not show up enough for
- 1:51Speaker 4: it to be able to hit.
- 1:53Speaker 2: I can be to you, I haven't played against enough
- 1:55Speaker 2: of the new good Shadows, which I think will be
- 1:57Speaker 2: showing up more often.
- 1:58Speaker 4: I think another Shadows will be showing up.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I want to show cards.
- 2:03Speaker 4: I don't know you you'll look at them. They're they're
- 2:05Speaker 4: very good. But I Shadows does not show up consistently
- 2:10Speaker 4: enough for that to be able to be played cards too,
- 2:15Speaker 4: I will point.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Yeah, it's kind of weird in that because these are
- 2:18Speaker 3: double sided, Like it might actually be really great to
- 2:23Speaker 3: have this on one of the sides of the cards.
- 2:25Speaker 3: You're gonna like, you're going to use the other side
- 2:28Speaker 3: most games, but to have this as an option in
- 2:31Speaker 3: the right game could be really great. But you need
- 2:34Speaker 3: the other side of this card to be like, but.
- 2:36Speaker 2: What as we get to them, the other side of
- 2:38Speaker 2: the card would either be what you want, a different
- 2:43Speaker 2: kind of situational one, which might means that both sides
- 2:46Speaker 2: are banned certain games, or the other side is just better.
- 2:49Speaker 4: And if you're better, you're going to play it more consistently.
- 2:56Speaker 1: What do you got? Cheap? Three is fine? Okay, okayady,
- 3:05Speaker 1: it's already ten o'clock. Isn't really ship? Look how far
- 3:08Speaker 1: we've come. During your opponent's turn after they play a
- 3:11Speaker 1: creature for philled, look how far they've you've come.
- 3:14Speaker 2: This exists where tails and heads also exist. Like kick
- 3:20Speaker 2: me in the junk.
- 3:24Speaker 4: You hear it, it's happening, It's all. This is another
- 3:31Speaker 4: I used to play soccer competively. I am fine to
- 3:34Speaker 4: take a shot there, you'll.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Break your toe.
- 3:37Speaker 1: So coming to KFC where you can see cheap in a.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Case if I break my toe, I'm going this. This
- 3:45Speaker 4: is good?
- 3:46Speaker 1: But can we make this happen at CAFC. Can this
- 3:48Speaker 1: be a thing that happens at CAFC. We can charge
- 3:51Speaker 1: in mission, we can charge admission.
- 3:55Speaker 4: You know what, I will. Let you go ahead and
- 3:57Speaker 4: take that cup. You're still going to be in the world.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Hurt my friend?
- 4:01Speaker 2: All right? So this is a six?
- 4:03Speaker 1: Yes, this is even even.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Even fraud has to play creatures on occasion.
- 4:10Speaker 4: But like picture that, like after they play a creature,
- 4:15Speaker 4: are they not like if they build a board, maybe
- 4:17Speaker 4: you don't have to play more in.
- 4:19Speaker 2: My in my mono deck mind, which only exists with fraud,
- 4:23Speaker 2: there are actually turns where I would just discard my
- 4:25Speaker 2: creatures instead of trigger. Well sure, but fraud is that
- 4:31Speaker 2: has but there are other decks that don't have to
- 4:32Speaker 2: play creatures. But yeah, this one.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Is good.
- 4:36Speaker 2: This is this is one of the sixes.
- 4:38Speaker 4: And what I will say is there's no way to
- 4:40Speaker 4: go ahead and get rid of a prophecy. So these
- 4:42Speaker 4: are out and they exist all the time, so you
- 4:46Speaker 4: just gotta deal with it. That's why.
- 4:48Speaker 1: All right, I'll look not so good after your opponent
- 4:53Speaker 1: chooses an active house that matches no cards in play
- 4:56Speaker 1: for phil outlook Ah, that look like it's just very
- 5:03Speaker 1: very consistent early Yeah, and then less consistent as I
- 5:08Speaker 1: guess you could flip it and not have to use
- 5:12Speaker 1: outlook outs. So good.
- 5:14Speaker 4: Yeah, if they can land artifacts, if it's if it's
- 5:17Speaker 4: just mirror match, that blows it down.
- 5:21Speaker 2: But again, the ability to time this one very high
- 5:25Speaker 2: lord wipes make this good again, Like I think this
- 5:28Speaker 2: one artifacts Oh yeah, I mean, but I still think
- 5:32Speaker 2: this one's okay. It might be a three or four.
- 5:36Speaker 3: I think, yeah, that's what. That's sort of where I was. Yeah,
- 5:39Speaker 3: I'm fine with a three. I don't know if I
- 5:40Speaker 3: can go to four.
- 5:42Speaker 4: It's a three.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Are you saying we're overreaching?
- 5:46Speaker 1: We're overreaching during your opponent's turn after an animy creature
- 5:49Speaker 1: is used to reap fulfill overreach? Yeah? Or is it
- 5:54Speaker 1: just six?
- 5:56Speaker 4: No?
- 5:56Speaker 2: This is a three or four? Four or four and
- 5:59Speaker 2: a half. What there is so much creature control going on.
- 6:05Speaker 2: You're not always reaping. There are so many turns where
- 6:08Speaker 2: you don't reap. This is fine, Like it's better than
- 6:13Speaker 2: it's better than the fight one.
- 6:16Speaker 4: How about matching cards and is it better than that?
- 6:22Speaker 1: Yes?
- 6:23Speaker 4: Yes, so this is definitely at least a four. Yes,
- 6:26Speaker 4: I don't know, like this.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Is triggering either triggering all the time or causing your
- 6:32Speaker 3: opponent not to gain ember not to reap.
- 6:35Speaker 2: But they're never these are so rarely going to keep
- 6:38Speaker 2: a person, Like maybe if they're just reaping for one,
- 6:42Speaker 2: they and they know.
- 6:46Speaker 1: I don't think I'm ever not reaping for one.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Yeah, so what people need to realize is after you
- 6:52Speaker 4: reap with the first one, it has to you have
- 6:55Speaker 4: to pay attention because it's going to stop. So the
- 6:58Speaker 4: Mars Shenanigans that we see, Oh there was a reap
- 7:00Speaker 4: who that could go ahead and.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Could go and kill. It's a good car, but it's
- 7:08Speaker 2: not always a good car.
- 7:11Speaker 4: It's four at the very least. I might be talked
- 7:14Speaker 4: to a five, but it is a four.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Yeah. I think this always triggers. I don't think this
- 7:17Speaker 1: stops stops anyone ever, but it can. I don't know.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I think it's upsides better than it's downside. Signs to
- 7:25Speaker 1: point yes, you go number. Oh I said five originally,
- 7:32Speaker 1: and I'm fine with where I'm at at five five.
- 7:35Speaker 4: Where you dress was at six, okay, six, five, four,
- 7:40Speaker 4: and he's got.
- 7:41Speaker 3: A three three all right, five?
- 7:46Speaker 1: Yeah, alright, moving on. Signs point to yes. At the
- 7:51Speaker 1: end of your opponent's turn, if they have have ember
- 7:54Speaker 1: in their pool equal to or greater than the current
- 7:57Speaker 1: key costs the phil Signs point to yes.
- 8:01Speaker 2: So every time you called check, which happens more often
- 8:04Speaker 2: than you forged key in a game, right, because the
- 8:06Speaker 2: control is a thing. I think this one's pretty good.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and and like this is a timing under which
- 8:14Speaker 3: you want often your cards trigger, so I think like
- 8:18Speaker 3: if you've got ember control fates, if you've got this
- 8:21Speaker 3: seems good.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Okay, So this one has a synergy whatever of six
- 8:27Speaker 2: where the one was exactly six was four, So at
- 8:29Speaker 2: least they have that, right, Like, this one's going to
- 8:31Speaker 2: trigger way more. This one. We saw a few interesting
- 8:35Speaker 2: things just quickly think about this is things like citizen
- 8:39Speaker 2: shrinks and butt flex don't make this trigger potentially right,
- 8:45Speaker 2: if you're on tricks, it's not in your pool, so
- 8:51Speaker 2: it wouldn't trigger this.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I forgot. We're calling caligraphy the ideal butt flex.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Uh thanks, I want five.
- 9:10Speaker 2: This is way better than the rape one.
- 9:12Speaker 4: No, it's nots if.
- 9:15Speaker 2: You're playing against somebody who doesn't have to reap the
- 9:17Speaker 2: win the game. This triggers not all deck play creatures
- 9:21Speaker 2: and reaps.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think that there's that many decks that
- 9:25Speaker 4: are going ahead and cheating for all their keys versus
- 9:29Speaker 4: going ahead and reaping. I think there are more decks
- 9:31Speaker 4: reaping sheep eating.
- 9:33Speaker 2: What's cheating got to do with anything?
- 9:35Speaker 1: This is?
- 9:35Speaker 2: This is.
- 9:37Speaker 4: I know, but you like you have to ke.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Cheat to prevent this from triggering, which means this happens
- 9:42Speaker 2: all the freaking time. As this is good, all.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Right, five, I don't know, alright, four, I don't know
- 9:53Speaker 1: if it's better, but I'll match its energy at five.
- 9:56Speaker 1: She I was originally at a four to two.
- 9:59Speaker 2: The only thing that the rate better is the mid
- 10:02Speaker 2: turn effects that kill creatures, and that one's better in
- 10:06Speaker 2: a few situations.
- 10:07Speaker 1: But anyways, stars aligned at the start of your opponent's
- 10:12Speaker 1: turn if each player has the same number of creatures
- 10:14Speaker 1: for phil stars aligned.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Perfectly timable. Yeah, triggers at the beginning, not guaranteed to
- 10:24Speaker 2: work because you could just be out in them.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I was gonna give this the one, because how how
- 10:30Speaker 1: many times is this? It's I don't think you can.
- 10:35Speaker 3: The start of their turnfore thee so, which means you're
- 10:40Speaker 3: you're playing all your creatures and you can match them.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Yeah, and then it trigger.
- 10:45Speaker 1: And then it triggers. Sure, and it's at.
- 10:47Speaker 2: The start of their turn before they forge a key.
- 10:49Speaker 2: So you could put your like this one where this
- 10:53Speaker 2: one is super strong. Is I play my four shadows guys?
- 10:56Speaker 2: I put the one that says you pay me one
- 10:58Speaker 2: for each shadows, guy, in play, or I only play
- 11:00Speaker 2: three of our foreshadows. Guys, because you have four creatures.
- 11:05Speaker 2: This triggers I take three of your amber you didn't
- 11:07Speaker 2: forge and you had no answer, and those cards are
- 11:11Speaker 2: fairly common that this one in this set is a
- 11:17Speaker 2: pretty damned strong card.
- 11:20Speaker 4: It's because of the timing and the control that you
- 11:22Speaker 4: have on it.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Yes, you have as the active player, you to some
- 11:27Speaker 2: extent have the control and the timing is critical.
- 11:32Speaker 4: The board wipes will allow this to come back into play.
- 11:35Speaker 4: But this is more powerful early on versus very late.
- 11:39Speaker 4: So if someone can that all depends on But I'm
- 11:42Speaker 4: saying if they can build a big board, it can
- 11:45Speaker 4: go out.
- 11:45Speaker 2: And if you're getting blown out by board, then this
- 11:48Speaker 2: you're correct.
- 11:49Speaker 4: But outside of that it is ri.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Yes, this is a hard one to catch up with.
- 11:54Speaker 2: If they're blowing you on board, it doesn't do anything there.
- 11:57Speaker 2: So like if your deck has no c yes, this
- 12:01Speaker 2: got a great card. But we're talking, we're we're talking
- 12:05Speaker 2: to arn playing this in a deck where it works,
- 12:09Speaker 2: and there are things in this set that work with
- 12:12Speaker 2: this card and make this one.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I now need all the predatory lendings being a plot, right.
- 12:20Speaker 2: So I still only give us a four five, Like,
- 12:24Speaker 2: I don't think it's a sick, but it's really strong.
- 12:30Speaker 2: This is one of the ones I.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Had written a four. As we're talking, I could see
- 12:34Speaker 3: maybe a five.
- 12:36Speaker 2: It is a more situational one where and sealed. It's fine,
- 12:43Speaker 2: but sometimes you're going to get in a deck that
- 12:45Speaker 2: doesn't is not able to make use of it, and
- 12:47Speaker 2: you're not gonna want it. But with the right when
- 12:50Speaker 2: the stars are aligned, this one is super strong.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, so what numbers?
- 12:57Speaker 4: It's a four or five, so five, I'll go five. Hey,
- 13:03Speaker 4: walk five is fine. It's a four or five five.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Look take into five. No, I'm gonna give it a three.
- 13:10Speaker 1: But it doesn't matter. Sucked me out, but I just
- 13:16Speaker 1: don't think it's I understand its possibilities.
- 13:19Speaker 3: I do want to play with this one, Like a
- 13:22Speaker 3: lot of these are very preliminary. For like, I have
- 13:24Speaker 3: not played with this car. All right, tails, play with
- 13:29Speaker 3: the next one.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Tails you lose at the end of your turn. You
- 13:32Speaker 1: may flip tails. You lose during your opponent's turn. After
- 13:36Speaker 1: your opponent plays a creature adjacent to a creature belonging
- 13:38Speaker 1: to a different house. Fulfilled tails, you lose.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Opposite of heads, same car, the same ups.
- 13:48Speaker 1: And downs, same score.
- 13:51Speaker 2: You know what I'm thinking about it in the six
- 13:56Speaker 2: or seven games or whenever we play today, not once
- 13:58Speaker 2: to anybody use one of these to flip it to
- 14:00Speaker 2: the other side. No, because if you're putting it on
- 14:03Speaker 2: this side, you're already like, well, this is the better
- 14:06Speaker 2: of two bad choices.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Yes, In fact, I had this one on the other
- 14:11Speaker 3: side of it was the when you play a creature one.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Yeah, so you just had a blank prophecy. Yeah, that's
- 14:20Speaker 2: it's These ones pissed me off. Like again, who played
- 14:23Speaker 2: tested this and said, yes, this should be here.
- 14:27Speaker 4: If you were forced after you fulfill it to play
- 14:30Speaker 4: the other side, it's a very very different setup.
- 14:34Speaker 2: There are lots of things that would make a different
- 14:36Speaker 2: but that is not the case.
- 14:38Speaker 4: You are choosing it as a reason.
- 14:39Speaker 2: If you never played with the one that said just
- 14:42Speaker 2: for a creature getting played, you might have been like, well,
- 14:44Speaker 2: these are interesting, and then you see the one that's
- 14:47Speaker 2: just for a creature being played, and then you're just like,
- 14:50Speaker 2: what is nizzult?
- 14:55Speaker 1: They didn't give those to the same playtesters.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Sure, ah, the cards will tell I gotta say the
- 15:05Speaker 2: names on These are like self segues to the next car.
- 15:10Speaker 2: They're good and prophecies, right, so it's like sege stuff
- 15:15Speaker 2: that's good.
- 15:16Speaker 1: The cards will tell during your opponent's turn. After your
- 15:18Speaker 1: opponent draws a card outside of their draw card step fulfill,
- 15:22Speaker 1: the cards will.
- 15:23Speaker 4: Tell enhanced draw pimp.
- 15:26Speaker 2: This is like the Steel one, though it may just
- 15:29Speaker 2: be zero. They may never draw card outside of their
- 15:34Speaker 2: draw card staff. You may have this with Could you
- 15:42Speaker 2: have this with Ben Rylo and mister perfect? Could? Like, see,
- 15:53Speaker 2: I told you a good card. This is only during
- 15:56Speaker 2: your opponent's turn, so that doesn't even work, Like, you
- 15:59Speaker 2: can't that make them this? This might be a one
- 16:06Speaker 2: or a zero.
- 16:07Speaker 4: There are cars.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I wasn't gonna go zero.
- 16:11Speaker 4: No, it's not it's not that.
- 16:12Speaker 2: I mean like, there are how many sets that don't
- 16:17Speaker 2: even have draw pips in them?
- 16:21Speaker 1: A few?
- 16:23Speaker 2: Right, Like, I don't know, I hate this card. This
- 16:26Speaker 2: car can go pay?
- 16:28Speaker 4: What was the rating we gave the Steel again, Dress.
- 16:32Speaker 1: It only gets worse to.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Yeah, this is worse. It does get worse.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Uh And And part of how we talked ourselves into
- 16:43Speaker 3: it there was like, well, you know, it's a good
- 16:45Speaker 3: option to have in a deck because it's two sided cards.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Could you imagine if this was on the other side,
- 16:51Speaker 2: you could be like, are of our trigger this game?
- 16:53Speaker 2: This is awesome.
- 16:55Speaker 4: There are some bad choices that that happens, just like
- 16:58Speaker 4: get tokens, but this is a one for me.
- 17:01Speaker 1: One okay? One sounds like all right, all right? The
- 17:08Speaker 1: early bird. At the end of your opponent's turn, if
- 17:11Speaker 1: they have more ember in their pool than you, fulfill
- 17:13Speaker 1: the early bird.
- 17:21Speaker 2: So equal is not more. That's one thing, correct, Although
- 17:27Speaker 2: there's this one and where there's also the opposite of
- 17:30Speaker 2: this if they have less.
- 17:32Speaker 4: Well, it's that's the second mouse, so throw them both.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I'm glad we cleared that up. Equal is not more?
- 17:39Speaker 1: Oh okay, you just want me? Okay. Second mouse is
- 17:41Speaker 1: the opposite. At the end of your opponent's turn, if
- 17:43Speaker 1: they have less than less ember in their pool than
- 17:46Speaker 1: you fulfill the second mouse window. The second mouse's art
- 17:54Speaker 1: a mouse stealing the bit of cheese that it just
- 17:56Speaker 1: murdered the mouse in the background on.
- 17:59Speaker 4: You know, no, no, no, no, the mouse in the trap
- 18:02Speaker 4: is already dead. So the second mouse got the cheese.
- 18:05Speaker 1: How do you know that mouse didn't push the first
- 18:07Speaker 1: mouse into the trap and he took.
- 18:09Speaker 4: The child, I would have push it into the first
- 18:12Speaker 4: get the cheese, dum no the second.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Oh, he's a murderer. He's like my wife, don't but.
- 18:30Speaker 4: I have no I have no right, no word for this.
- 18:37Speaker 4: I will right.
- 18:38Speaker 1: If you slept with my life.
- 18:41Speaker 4: We're not.
- 18:41Speaker 1: That's not even the card we're talking about, right, We're
- 18:43Speaker 1: talking about Early Burden. The second mouse are the same card,
- 18:47Speaker 1: just opposites of each other.
- 18:49Speaker 4: So out of the out of the four. Okay, So
- 18:52Speaker 4: one of the games that I played, these were in
- 18:55Speaker 4: two separate cars and you could have them up at
- 18:57Speaker 4: the same time. So the only way not to fulfill
- 19:00Speaker 4: it was to be at the same amber as your opponent.
- 19:03Speaker 2: To watch that game. And that happened.
- 19:06Speaker 4: It happened, but it is very hard to be able
- 19:09Speaker 4: to do for the most part.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Wasn't that it happened more than once. I feel like this.
- 19:15Speaker 4: I feel like I have trauma from this game, sheep,
- 19:17Speaker 4: I feel.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Tails you losing, heads I win. Should be linked to
- 19:21Speaker 1: each other. They should be on the backs of each other,
- 19:22Speaker 1: and these two should be on the back but had
- 19:25Speaker 1: better effects.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yea, Anyways, these ones here's I'm I'm just trying to
- 19:30Speaker 2: think in good serious key forge, is the early bird
- 19:37Speaker 2: a better card because they are taking their turn getting
- 19:42Speaker 2: ahead that it comes back to you and you are
- 19:44Speaker 2: taking their amber away, like like you are the the
- 19:49Speaker 2: give and take in key.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Forge, the early bird is is the better card. And
- 19:54Speaker 4: the reason being is that typically your opponent wants to
- 19:57Speaker 4: push for check. So they're going to push it will
- 20:01Speaker 4: trigger more often, or they potential back the short answers,
- 20:05Speaker 4: they're not going to hold back.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Second mouse often actually triggers right after they forge a key, right,
- 20:11Speaker 2: that's another one. They forged a ki, now they have
- 20:13Speaker 2: no amber, they don't make enough to get over your check,
- 20:16Speaker 2: and then second mouse triggers. But also it has many
- 20:20Speaker 2: other opportunities to trigger two. Yeah, I've.
- 20:25Speaker 3: I like the window these triggering though, right because because
- 20:28Speaker 3: this is at the end of your opponent's turn, they
- 20:32Speaker 3: write that that red line they couldn't play now you're
- 20:35Speaker 3: getting gaining amber or you're stealing or whatever.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Yeah, they don't get to react to what happens.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, so the the window is real nice.
- 20:45Speaker 2: It is after they have ready to drawn cards though,
- 20:49Speaker 2: so some of the fates that you'll see where like
- 20:54Speaker 2: unless there's amber control that's there, in my opinion, like
- 20:59Speaker 2: ending your turn and going ahead and stopping it just
- 21:04Speaker 2: it doesn't have as much value as at the beginning
- 21:07Speaker 2: of the turn from what I've seen, but that's why
- 21:09Speaker 2: I've witnessed. In the end, I give them both fours.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Heame's fair, Like they're both good.
- 21:19Speaker 2: I'm fine to have them. Don't really want them, but
- 21:24Speaker 2: they're fine.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Like four for early Bird, three for the mouse, I think.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I think early Bird is a little bit better, but
- 21:33Speaker 2: not a point different.
- 21:39Speaker 4: I agree with it is a five second mouse is
- 21:41Speaker 4: a three? How about that? No, no, but honestly it's
- 21:46Speaker 4: a It's a four and a three, so all right,
- 21:48Speaker 4: The end is nigh.
- 21:49Speaker 1: The end is nine during your opponent's turn, after three
- 21:53Speaker 1: or more, after three or more creatures have been destroyed,
- 21:57Speaker 1: that turn fulfilled, the end is nigh. Well, the end
- 22:00Speaker 1: is n because this one's going straight to the shredder bin.
- 22:04Speaker 1: I like the art art squall, it's still going to
- 22:07Speaker 1: the shredder ben.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Board wipes are a real thing and competitive key forge.
- 22:12Speaker 2: This one is garbage and sealed. It didn't trigger once
- 22:18Speaker 2: in all the games, like and all the games. I
- 22:22Speaker 2: can only think even had it been one of the
- 22:24Speaker 2: prophecies where it wasn't would only trigger once or twice.
- 22:27Speaker 2: This one is.
- 22:30Speaker 4: A one. Can I say that with the last three
- 22:33Speaker 4: cards Early Birds, Second Mouse, and the end is nigh,
- 22:36Speaker 4: how awesome would it be to have the foil treatment
- 22:40Speaker 4: on these where they really.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Would like.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Theil would look really good.
- 22:46Speaker 4: I'm telling you, like, these look really good as is,
- 22:49Speaker 4: but man ad a little bit of oil that. I mean,
- 22:52Speaker 4: it doesn't impact the gameplay, so it should be fine.
- 22:56Speaker 4: That will be there. You go, that's easy enough to do.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Boy fireball, but whatever, donkalope.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Almost all of these would look expect the unexpected.
- 23:11Speaker 2: I mean, actually it's got the stripes of the war
- 23:13Speaker 2: Kitty from Skeletor's War Kitty, but.
- 23:16Speaker 4: There it's it's radiating the green radiation that's there could
- 23:20Speaker 4: totally pop. To look at the end is not look
- 23:24Speaker 4: all the there's so many would look fate fate laughs,
- 23:29Speaker 4: and plans would look good.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Bad omens would look good. Expect the unexpected would look
- 23:34Speaker 1: good like all of them. I mean, it only gets
- 23:36Speaker 1: worse with all the neon on there.
- 23:39Speaker 4: All with the coin it could pop like there's we.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Don't have those. So treat each action as your last.
- 23:47Speaker 1: So yeah, treat each action as your last during your
- 23:49Speaker 1: opponent's turn. After your opponent plays their second action, that
- 23:52Speaker 1: turn fulfilled. Treat each actions like you last. I don't
- 23:55Speaker 1: know how to feel about this card, sheep, tell me
- 23:57Speaker 1: how to feel.
- 23:58Speaker 4: Why is it after the second action versus I don't know.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I don't know because after the first was too good?
- 24:05Speaker 1: Because you almost always play an action on you, it
- 24:08Speaker 1: is pretty good.
- 24:09Speaker 2: I agree with you, because on average, there are more
- 24:14Speaker 2: creatures than actions in a deck. So I mean, I
- 24:19Speaker 2: guess on second cycle creatures are on board. But man,
- 24:25Speaker 2: you definitely play two actions quite a bit.
- 24:29Speaker 4: I'd like to see the stat on that.
- 24:32Speaker 1: As well.
- 24:34Speaker 2: I mean, you clearly play a creature more often than
- 24:36Speaker 2: you play two actions. But I like a three.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I don't know, it's I feel like it's right in
- 24:43Speaker 1: the middle too, Like I don't know. I feel like, yeah,
- 24:47Speaker 1: I don't it would look good for me, you know
- 24:50Speaker 1: what I like to to to two feels right after
- 24:54Speaker 1: you play your second too.
- 24:55Speaker 4: There you go, trust your feelings, Wikie.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Trust you feelings. You know it to be true because
- 25:01Speaker 1: when you place a card under trust your feelings name
- 25:04Speaker 1: of house. The next time your opponent, would you give
- 25:06Speaker 1: you walk on the last one? Two? Do trust your
- 25:12Speaker 1: feelings when you place a card. I'm sorry, when a
- 25:15Speaker 1: card is placed under trust your feelings, name a house
- 25:18Speaker 1: the next time, your opponent chooses the named house as
- 25:20Speaker 1: their active house. Fulfilled trust your feelings. Like this one's
- 25:24Speaker 1: pretty dopey.
- 25:26Speaker 2: I mean you can can predict what they are going
- 25:29Speaker 2: to want.
- 25:30Speaker 1: To play correct, and it can be when.
- 25:33Speaker 2: They're like Martiananegany, you know they're playing Mars again.
- 25:36Speaker 1: And it can be a pseudo, a pseudo what you
- 25:40Speaker 1: will call it, a pseudo control of the week, right, like, oh,
- 25:43Speaker 1: don't want to fulfill it, can't call it, Probably not
- 25:46Speaker 1: gonna stop it, but it could.
- 25:48Speaker 2: This is more lines of illusions of grandeur than control
- 25:51Speaker 2: the weak.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Fair enough, It's like the house and I get a
- 25:54Speaker 1: benefit there you go.
- 25:55Speaker 2: If you call the house that, it's more in line
- 25:57Speaker 2: with that. But that card is still pretty good. I
- 26:02Speaker 2: think this one. I actually haven't played with this one
- 26:05Speaker 2: yet myself, but I think this one's probably good. It
- 26:08Speaker 2: might be might be a five four. I don't know.
- 26:12Speaker 3: I was a four five four fourie or or or
- 26:20Speaker 3: or or.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Wasteful grind there so one of the there is a
- 26:25Speaker 2: card in this where the fate effect is ah, I
- 26:30Speaker 2: think there's one of those fate prick where they flip
- 26:32Speaker 2: the top card of their deck and the house becomes
- 26:35Speaker 2: that mm hmmm. So like when you know they're building
- 26:39Speaker 2: up for a closer, you can be like, I'm gonna
- 26:42Speaker 2: put that card under here, so when you call your closer,
- 26:45Speaker 2: maybe you just get bumped off of it and then
- 26:47Speaker 2: it with that card. It's a weird, a random, weird thing.
- 26:52Speaker 4: So knowing so with the games that you sheep, with
- 26:56Speaker 4: the games that you played, knowing the fates are there,
- 26:59Speaker 4: you can read them or sorry the prophecies. Did it
- 27:02Speaker 4: really keep you from going ahead and reaping or calling
- 27:04Speaker 4: a house? Did it have that big of an impact.
- 27:08Speaker 2: All it really did was make you spend another minute
- 27:14Speaker 2: considering order of operations of playing YEP versus reaping and
- 27:19Speaker 2: fighting or doing damage, because you like are trying to
- 27:24Speaker 2: decide do I want to trigger that fate before or
- 27:26Speaker 2: after I've done things? And we're playing blind, so we
- 27:30Speaker 2: don't even actually we're not. We weren't playing super competitive, right,
- 27:34Speaker 2: Like if I knew all of your fate effects and
- 27:38Speaker 2: I was, we were playing super competitively. You know, my
- 27:41Speaker 2: decision would be even easier to make. But we were
- 27:43Speaker 2: playing on the like what could possibly happen, And there's
- 27:47Speaker 2: a lot of fate effects that are like destroy that
- 27:49Speaker 2: or do damage to exhausted creatures and that kind of stuff.
- 27:52Speaker 2: So it makes you think about order of operations a
- 27:56Speaker 2: little bit.
- 27:57Speaker 4: And the reason I say that is there is still
- 28:00Speaker 4: the action to be able to discard the prophecy acting
- 28:04Speaker 4: as a discard PIP. What would be really what will
- 28:07Speaker 4: be correct, but what will be really important is similar
- 28:10Speaker 4: to t M t P. I'm looking and seeing what
- 28:13Speaker 4: fate like what houses are in your decks? Individual it
- 28:18Speaker 4: will be critical? All right, you have you have that
- 28:21Speaker 4: t M t P critical fate. I now need to
- 28:23Speaker 4: actually pay attention to it.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Discard one third of your hands card yep uh that yes,
- 28:31Speaker 2: knowing the critical fates, I was gonna say something that's
- 28:35Speaker 2: gone off, We'll go wasteful regret.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Off is not the next card. It's called wasteful regret
- 28:43Speaker 1: during your opponent's turn. After your opponent discards a card
- 28:46Speaker 1: from their hand fulfill wasteful regret. Hmmm.
- 28:52Speaker 4: Two, this too, this is in your It's very depending
- 28:56Speaker 4: on what your opponent has is this gr is this
- 29:00Speaker 4: like this is.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Oh I was gonna say ye, discard pips will trigger
- 29:07Speaker 1: this one.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Oh yeah, this is this is this is right there
- 29:11Speaker 2: with drop it it's a two correct, I think it's
- 29:15Speaker 2: right there. And that wounds into wisdom here on my
- 29:19Speaker 2: thing was and now it's god God.
- 29:22Speaker 1: During your opponents turn after a friendly creature is self
- 29:25Speaker 1: damage ful phil wounds into windstom.
- 29:28Speaker 2: So this one just better than the if creatures fight
- 29:33Speaker 2: one because like outside of elusive and they only fight
- 29:37Speaker 2: wants to just get a fight effect. Like if you're fighting,
- 29:41Speaker 2: you're doing damage almost all right, So this is better
- 29:49Speaker 2: than that one. Also damage pips whatever. So this one
- 29:53Speaker 2: is one better. So it's like a three. It's okay,
- 29:57Speaker 2: Like this was in my last act. This was the
- 29:59Speaker 2: good one. And I'm telling you when you're playing, and
- 30:03Speaker 2: this card is the best fate you have out of
- 30:06Speaker 2: your four. You do not like profod prophetic visions because
- 30:12Speaker 2: your opponents like, huh, you played a creature, I trigger mine,
- 30:15Speaker 2: you played a creature and their fate effects are stupid
- 30:17Speaker 2: strong and you're like, my fan effects aren't even really
- 30:19Speaker 2: that good and it's only a few damaged creatures. This
- 30:24Speaker 2: is stupid. It makes you, it makes you not enjoy
- 30:28Speaker 2: the game.
- 30:29Speaker 4: But after that creature is dealt damage. So as the
- 30:33Speaker 4: active player, Sheep, you would basically have to deal damage
- 30:37Speaker 4: to your creature.
- 30:38Speaker 1: No, no, yes, that is.
- 30:42Speaker 2: After a friendly So I'm reading the card. So on
- 30:47Speaker 2: your active you damage any of my creatures, you fulfill this.
- 30:54Speaker 2: I read this card.
- 30:56Speaker 4: Who's the who's the active player? Because I think we're
- 30:57Speaker 4: saying the same thing. But words of wisdom is my
- 31:01Speaker 4: If it's okay, if it's Sheep's card, words of wisdom
- 31:05Speaker 4: coming on me, then it is. Anytime my creature is
- 31:09Speaker 4: dealt yan.
- 31:10Speaker 1: No no, no, no, yes no, this is my card.
- 31:13Speaker 2: You are on your.
- 31:15Speaker 4: Turn, my turn, during my turn, my friendly creature.
- 31:19Speaker 2: It doesn't say your opponent's friendly creature after a friendly
- 31:22Speaker 2: friendly is me. This is my card. Friendly creatures are mine.
- 31:27Speaker 4: No. The prophecies okay, no, no.
- 31:30Speaker 2: The fates you're you're the fate. On the prophecies, you're
- 31:35Speaker 2: the opponent. I'm the friendly. When you flip it to
- 31:38Speaker 2: the fate, you're the friendly and I'm the opponent. When
- 31:42Speaker 2: you read the it's you have to read the cards
- 31:45Speaker 2: opposite each other.
- 31:46Speaker 1: We need a flowing chart.
- 31:48Speaker 4: No, but this is what is there.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it is confusing because the prophecy card I'm reading right,
- 31:55Speaker 2: and then when the fate triggers, I hand the card
- 31:57Speaker 2: to you and you read that from your perspective. It
- 32:01Speaker 2: is weird. It is not intuitive at all. Like people
- 32:08Speaker 2: are not under you. Every every discord I see, people
- 32:11Speaker 2: are like, these are.
- 32:14Speaker 4: Why I brought it up.
- 32:16Speaker 2: It is bad, it is it is just. And this
- 32:19Speaker 2: was after they like tried to fix it three times
- 32:21Speaker 2: because it was even worse. Like these wordings are are tough.
- 32:27Speaker 2: H this one three it's it's whatever, no what in
- 32:33Speaker 2: my in my wounds of wisdom. Ah, the amount of
- 32:40Speaker 2: information I am seeing and I know I am giving
- 32:46Speaker 2: when putting a fate under a card is huge, right,
- 32:54Speaker 2: And yeah it's not intentional, but when I'm putting a
- 32:57Speaker 2: card I don't care about. There's just kind of like, ah,
- 33:00Speaker 2: I'll stick it under this one, right and.
- 33:05Speaker 4: Being consistent with how you're right and.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Then the the other way you can tell and it's
- 33:10Speaker 2: I think this is going to be even true in
- 33:11Speaker 2: the good players.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Is if they are.
- 33:17Speaker 2: They pay attention more for the prophecy trigger when there's
- 33:20Speaker 2: something under it that is meaningful than when it's not meaningful.
- 33:26Speaker 2: You can just see it. They're like they're like they're
- 33:32Speaker 2: like watching for you to reap, where otherwise they're just
- 33:35Speaker 2: like you know, if they're If they are if they
- 33:39Speaker 2: have prophecies down and they switch from watching what you're
- 33:42Speaker 2: doing to looking at their cards in their hand, it
- 33:46Speaker 2: means they have checkout on their prophecies. Being meaningful like
- 33:49Speaker 2: that is a and people are already really bad about
- 33:52Speaker 2: that in key Forge and checking out. And you can
- 33:54Speaker 2: now not check out on your opponent's turn with prophecies,
- 33:57Speaker 2: But when you know you a subcond when you know
- 34:01Speaker 2: you've just put junk cards on your prophecies, you give
- 34:04Speaker 2: yourself the permission to check out. If you're a checkout player, right,
- 34:09Speaker 2: if you're a player already kind of checks out on
- 34:11Speaker 2: your opponent's turn because you're like, well, I don't make
- 34:13Speaker 2: any decisions and you're planning your turn. You will watch
- 34:18Speaker 2: it tighter when you have a good prophecy under there,
- 34:20Speaker 2: because you know you have to pay attention. And when
- 34:24Speaker 2: you don't have good profit or fake cards under there,
- 34:26Speaker 2: you will go back into check out mode and your
- 34:29Speaker 2: opponent can watch you for that, and I know I
- 34:32Speaker 2: have done it as a player, and I've watched other
- 34:36Speaker 2: players do it already and been able to play that,
- 34:39Speaker 2: which is not what should be deciding key Forde games.
- 34:45Speaker 2: But it can, right, Like you can tell it can
- 34:49Speaker 2: you can tell? Yeah? And I actually think under prophecies
- 34:54Speaker 2: and then good actors are going to be able to
- 34:57Speaker 2: like actually play into that, right. I'm not a good
- 35:00Speaker 2: actor or am I?
- 35:03Speaker 4: No, You're not.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Nobody will ever know if I hit that drop hip
- 35:08Speaker 2: to prevent Desania or not.
- 35:13Speaker 4: And with that wisdom, wisdom, friends, that.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Was a but it's something you're gonna have to pay
- 35:21Speaker 2: and just just the changing game where you really have
- 35:24Speaker 2: to pay attention on your opponent's turn, where people have
- 35:27Speaker 2: not done that in some ways, I think Prophetics Visions
- 35:34Speaker 2: is just gonna make games longer, right because I mean
- 35:38Speaker 2: I've been playing that way for a long time where
- 35:40Speaker 2: I draw my hand face down and I try not
- 35:42Speaker 2: to look at it until it's my turn, right to
- 35:47Speaker 2: pay attention to not give anything away. Yeah, so I
- 35:53Speaker 2: can stay focused on my prophecies often especially, but I'm
- 35:58Speaker 2: actually trying to play seriously. But other players, you know,
- 36:00Speaker 2: there's a lot of players like they draw right into
- 36:02Speaker 2: their hand, and as soon as they're saying entern, they're
- 36:04Speaker 2: like planning out their next turn. And and if they're
- 36:09Speaker 2: stopping to do that, that means they're gonna spend more
- 36:11Speaker 2: time planning their turn after you say end, more games
- 36:20Speaker 2: going to time? M hm, yeah, gonna be snow three
- 36:26Speaker 2: turn games?
- 36:27Speaker 4: Oh boy, can we get to two?
- 36:30Speaker 2: Okay? That is all of them? We only gave out
- 36:36Speaker 2: three six's.
- 36:38Speaker 3: So yeah, so we've got the best cards, the best prophecies.
- 36:43Speaker 3: We're ask again later, look how far you've come.
- 36:49Speaker 1: That's only sixty game.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Okay, So it was the one that I fought for.
- 36:54Speaker 2: And then the every time you play a creature yep,
- 36:59Speaker 2: because no super consistent.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Yep.
- 37:02Speaker 3: We've got a bunch of fives, quite a lot of ones.
- 37:06Speaker 3: We have one zero bad omen was a zero.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, you.
- 37:12Speaker 4: Rate that card again, and you're just like, it's the timing.
- 37:17Speaker 4: It's at the end of your opponent's turn and exactly six.
- 37:22Speaker 2: All right, it'll happen by you go to share six
- 37:26Speaker 2: all the time?
- 37:27Speaker 4: Sure, I mean, but chances for there.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Also games where you never check at six, right, Like
- 37:34Speaker 2: it's yeah, okay, yep, we continue with that one.
- 37:37Speaker 4: Bad.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Okay, it's ten thirty. I don't think we're going to
- 37:41Speaker 2: go to dis tonight.
- 37:42Speaker 4: Nope, check, I moved it over. We're good.
- 37:47Speaker 1: We can We can go to disc next week and
- 37:50Speaker 1: or next weekend, next week my TV by then, so.
- 37:55Speaker 4: You guys can all join us in Discord and shout
- 37:58Speaker 4: at our ratings here on thesees and how we failed you.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Oh we didn't. We got Portland coming up in a
- 38:08Speaker 1: few weeks, right, yeah, Uh did you ask her you're
- 38:12Speaker 1: going to Portland?
- 38:13Speaker 2: Right?
- 38:13Speaker 1: No? Nounly can we have no AC presence at Portland?
- 38:19Speaker 1: Mammon's going, Oh, Mammon's going. Okay, yep, Mammon's going to
- 38:22Speaker 1: be there. Well, I guess we'll have to have Mammon on.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Then it'll be three weeks, yeah, three weeks. It's at
- 38:27Speaker 1: the end of the month, right, twenty first, Yeah, twenty first,
- 38:32Speaker 1: twenty second, yep. So I guess we'll have to have
- 38:34Speaker 1: Mammon on that week to find out all what happened
- 38:36Speaker 1: at Portland. We'll kind of figure it out from there
- 38:39Speaker 1: and we'll.
- 38:40Speaker 4: Do I mean, we do need we do need to
- 38:41Speaker 4: add a new AC member just to make sure that
- 38:44Speaker 4: we keep that going.
- 38:46Speaker 3: We haven't been talking over eachach other nearly as much
- 38:49Speaker 3: as we should.
- 38:50Speaker 1: So's remember, I mean, well, help from Finish yourself is
- 38:54Speaker 1: trying to get more members than us. Hey, for whatever
- 38:59Speaker 1: terrible reason.
- 39:00Speaker 4: Mimicry is the best form of flattery. So we're fine.
- 39:05Speaker 1: And my buddy King of Blaying, he's doing a great job.
- 39:08Speaker 1: So yeah, he is.
- 39:11Speaker 4: A member man.
- 39:13Speaker 1: So yeah, we're infiltrating all the podcasts. We just need
- 39:16Speaker 1: to get somebody over on. We just need to get
- 39:19Speaker 1: somebody over on what. Yeah, we don't have anybody on
- 39:26Speaker 1: work cast Sloppy La.
- 39:28Speaker 3: That was the one I was thinking of the sloppy.
- 39:35Speaker 1: Notice Sloppy, I mean Tony.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Noiz, Now he's too fun.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, you're right, yeah, Pizza.

- 39:50Speaker 2: who would it be? Who would it really be?
- 39:56Speaker 1: Well, it sounds mean, I don't kick anybody over to Sloppy.
- 40:00Speaker 2: It'll be right here right now.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Well, okay, so the person that would probably get along
- 40:05Speaker 1: the most, No, I was thinking, Morgan, what what do
- 40:12Speaker 1: you mean? No, I can see Morgan getting down on
- 40:16Speaker 1: some adaptive.
- 40:21Speaker 4: No sheep. Who do you think will help lead Wookey
- 40:24Speaker 4: to this water.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Well, I know he's talking about you, but that's just dumb.
- 40:29Speaker 4: And that's no. Some of us actually care about, you know,
- 40:32Speaker 4: doing research ahead of time and talking not just from
- 40:35Speaker 4: the hip. So those are nice things.
- 40:38Speaker 1: None of these items are fun, ever, that.
- 40:42Speaker 4: Is one way of looking at it. So I've been
- 40:44Speaker 4: pushing to Sloppy. Thanks, guys, I appreciate.
- 40:48Speaker 1: No, we're trying to trade you in a pick to
- 40:50Speaker 1: be named later for Hobo.

- 41:04Speaker 4: It's like it works.
- 41:06Speaker 1: It's like it works too well. It's like it's almost
- 41:08Speaker 1: like it's gotta happen.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Now, did you work on your like dulcet tones.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Now we're gonna need.
- 41:16Speaker 4: All all of our peers, and we appreciate anyone who
- 41:19Speaker 4: is still producing content for this great game. So thank you.
