- 0:00Speaker 1: Ron Verb on News Radio 570 WKBN. And it's a
- 0:05Speaker 1: good Friday to you. It's 3.05 in the afternoon. It's
- 0:08Speaker 1: 83 degrees. It's Friday, August 21st already. Not that far
- 0:13Speaker 1: from the Canfield Fair, which I would say if you're
- 0:16Speaker 1: in my neck of the woods, gang, once you hit.
- 0:18Speaker 2: The fair here in our neck of the woods, that's
- 0:20Speaker 2: pretty much, well, how would you view it? It's the
- 0:24Speaker 2: end of summer. Isn't that kind of the official marking point?
- 0:28Speaker 2: in our community to say, okay, summer's behind us and
- 0:31Speaker 2: fall is here. That's when you start to notice the
- 0:34Speaker 2: days getting a lot shorter, right around Canfield Fair time.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Just giving you some of the history of where we
- 0:41Speaker 2: broadcast from right here at the Kingdom of Mahoning with
- 0:45Speaker 2: one of the largest county fairs around. They're going to
- 0:47Speaker 2: be coming up in not a handful of days, basically.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Maybe two handfuls here of days and the Canfield Fair
- 0:56Speaker 2: will be here and it's then fall will be here
- 1:00Speaker 2: in shorter days.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Ah, yes.
- 1:04Speaker 2: And it'll be the times of your life, to quote
- 1:07Speaker 2: Paul Anka, if you remember him. 83 degrees, good afternoon.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I'll set that aside. I'll get to that shortly. Some
- 1:14Speaker 2: things I want to mention to you. You're on the air.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Yes, hi, Ron. How you doing?
- 1:21Speaker 2: I'm glad you called. I want to ask you a question.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Sure, go ahead.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I want to pick your brain on some stuff. And
- 1:29Speaker 2: can you give me some analysis? And I say this, folks,
- 1:33Speaker 2: and you tell me if I'm allowed to or if
- 1:35Speaker 2: I should stop. You were just … You're Joe Bagadonich.
- 1:40Speaker 2: You're not a stock guy. You're not a certified financial
- 1:42Speaker 2: guy or anything like that. But it's fair for me
- 1:44Speaker 2: to say that I've spoken to you for years. Would
- 1:49Speaker 2: you agree with that? And I've watched you make a lot.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Going back to the 90s, I believe, when I used
- 1:55Speaker 3: to trade Chrysler stock.
- 1:57Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:57Speaker 3: And I said that was the big winner for me
- 2:00Speaker 3: back in the 90s with Chrysler.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I mean, I guess my point is this, folks. I
- 2:05Speaker 2: feel like I've known this guy for a long, long
- 2:07Speaker 2: time in talking to him. And I'm here to say,
- 2:11Speaker 2: in my opinion, he's a really smart guy, all right?
- 2:14Speaker 2: And just on how the financial world that he understands
- 2:18Speaker 2: and what he's done on his own is just, to me,
- 2:20Speaker 2: absolutely remarkable.
- 2:22Speaker 4: And I do mean remarkable. So would you give me
- 2:26Speaker 4: some input?
- 2:27Speaker 2: From an economic standpoint, I would like to ask you,
- 2:31Speaker 2: I saw the other day this bailing out of Japan
- 2:36Speaker 2: to prevent them from selling off. They have a trillion
- 2:38Speaker 2: dollars in treasuries to prevent them from selling them off,
- 2:42Speaker 2: which our country said would raise our interest rates or
- 2:45Speaker 2: the interest rates would go up. So we bailed out Japan.
- 2:49Speaker 2: in a strange kind of way for our own benefit,
- 2:52Speaker 2: if you will. Then you had this bond buyback that's
- 2:57Speaker 2: going on. The best it's preaching, it seems like the
- 3:01Speaker 2: market doesn't care for much. Then I just take a
- 3:05Speaker 2: look at the Walmart stock and purchasing power from people.
- 3:10Speaker 2: So I want to ask you this. Here's my long
- 3:12Speaker 2: introduction to a question. How do you think the economy
- 3:16Speaker 2: actually is as we talk today? on Main Street, if
- 3:20Speaker 2: you will. And where do you think the economy's heading
- 3:24Speaker 2: and the global economy is heading? Because some of these things,
- 3:27Speaker 2: I think, are very deeply troubling and disturbing to me.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I think for the... There's two worlds. It's the Joe
- 3:37Speaker 3: Bag of Donuts and the people that have money. The
- 3:40Speaker 3: economy is great. If you have money and you can
- 3:43Speaker 3: take advantage of this... foals gold on Wall Street. I
- 3:52Speaker 3: can't believe how the market is discounting it. I was
- 3:55Speaker 3: looking back at a clip of Donald Trump in 2016
- 4:00Speaker 3: when he was running for president, when our national debt
- 4:03Speaker 3: was $ 24 trillion, and Trump was at a rally. He said,
- 4:07Speaker 3: if we hit $ 24 trillion, it'll be a point of
- 4:11Speaker 3: no return. He says we'll become a country that's unsalvageable.
- 4:17Speaker 3: And now look at the debt now under Trump, you know,
- 4:20Speaker 3: $ 40 trillion. And I don't follow bonds and the Japanese situation.
- 4:27Speaker 3: I think they had a bailout in Japan. But, you know,
- 4:31Speaker 3: with $ 40 trillion in debt, we have no business giving
- 4:36Speaker 3: anyone foreign aid. That's the first thing.
- 4:40Speaker 4: All right.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Well, pause for a second. When you're talking about that,
- 4:44Speaker 2: they say Trump is responsible for $ 4 trillion of debt
- 4:50Speaker 2: in his two years.
- 4:51Speaker 4: 4 trillion. It's the number they're putting out there. In
- 4:55Speaker 4: two years.
- 4:57Speaker 2: So, I mean, he is really growing this debt at
- 5:01Speaker 2: a record base, record number.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Well, if he would have taken care of... He promised
- 5:07Speaker 3: this a year ago, and he put J.D. Vance in
- 5:09Speaker 3: charge of his fraud... investigations, uncovering fraud. Nothing's ever come
- 5:16Speaker 3: of that. And then, of course, you've had Elon Musk,
- 5:20Speaker 3: and he had so many great suggestions that Trump completely ignored.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Trump turned his back on the MAGA movement. And the
- 5:30Speaker 3: sad thing is, you can't live in, you know, my
- 5:33Speaker 3: house has paid off. I just mailed in my payment
- 5:38Speaker 3: for taxes, the real estate taxes. I mean, it's just like,
- 5:44Speaker 3: unless you move to Florida, you can never own your house.
- 5:47Speaker 3: You have to keep paying on it, and it's ridiculous.
- 5:50Speaker 3: If we would just cut the fraud, you wouldn't have
- 5:54Speaker 3: to have real estate taxes, income taxes. But we have
- 5:59Speaker 3: two parties. I'm an independent now. Next time I go
- 6:04Speaker 3: to vote, I'm going to drop my Republican... registration and
- 6:09Speaker 3: register as an independent. I'm just fed up with both parties.
- 6:12Speaker 3: These clowns do nothing. With a $ 40 trillion debt, it's unbelievable.
- 6:20Speaker 4: I mean, they are juggling..
- 6:23Speaker 2: The reason that they did this bailout, most people don't
- 6:26Speaker 2: understand it, of Japan was because Japan has over a
- 6:29Speaker 2: trillion dollars of our treasuries. And if Japan sold off
- 6:33Speaker 2: a bunch of them, as they were talking about doing,
- 6:35Speaker 2: their concern was it would raise the interest rates, which
- 6:38Speaker 2: would be detrimental to the country, to our country as
- 6:42Speaker 2: far as their debt and deficit is concerned. That's why
- 6:44Speaker 2: they bailed. Did this run around to bail out Japan.
- 6:50Speaker 2: And it's also why they're doing this bond buyback stuff.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I mean, the stuff you see going on globally is
- 6:56Speaker 2: a lot of moves, I think, to stabilize the global economy.
- 7:02Speaker 2: But you can do all of this stuff. And as
- 7:04Speaker 2: long as you have... this situation going on in Iran.
- 7:09Speaker 2: And I go back to say this, here's the reality.
- 7:12Speaker 2: There's a shortage of oil. I don't care what anyone
- 7:15Speaker 2: tries to spin it or how they try to spin it.
- 7:17Speaker 2: When you take 20 or 30 million barrels of oil
- 7:20Speaker 2: off the market a day, and you're going to have
- 7:23Speaker 2: a shortage of oil, prices are going to go up.
- 7:26Speaker 2: And so you, the straight is still basically closed. So
- 7:29Speaker 2: there's the reality of where things are headed today. And
- 7:33Speaker 2: as these oil experts say, as you go further into August, June, July, August, September,
- 7:38Speaker 2: it's just going to get worse.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Well, no, Trump said we have complete control of the strait.
- 7:44Speaker 4: But that's nonsense.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. And all of a sudden he comes up
- 7:48Speaker 3: with this economic D-Day two days ago. It's a whole
- 7:52Speaker 3: new plan. Well, what happened to the military war? Is
- 7:55Speaker 3: that on the back burner?
- 7:58Speaker 2: Well, see, I'm glad you brought that up. The bombing campaign,
- 8:02Speaker 2: and we're going to bomb them to rubble and all
- 8:04Speaker 2: this kind of stuff. He was just talking that, what,
- 8:07Speaker 2: a month ago or something? We're going back to the
- 8:09Speaker 2: bombing campaign, the likes of which I've never seen, all
- 8:12Speaker 2: of this kind of stuff. Now that's come to an end,
- 8:14Speaker 2: and now we're on a different strategy. Now we're going
- 8:17Speaker 2: to have, what did he say, this economic— D-Day.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Economic D-Day.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Well, what happened to the bombing you were talking about?
- 8:26Speaker 2: Now it's going to be an economic D-Day.
- 8:28Speaker 4: Okay.
- 8:29Speaker 2: It just seems like we're trying to try anything to
- 8:33Speaker 2: see if we can get somehow an agreement to get
- 8:38Speaker 2: out of this mess. And it doesn't seem like they're
- 8:40Speaker 2: too agreeable.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Well, you know what bothers me, talking about bombing, our
- 8:45Speaker 3: military partner, the Israelis... I don't think they've bombed Iran.
- 8:51Speaker 3: What they're bombing now is Gaza and Lebanon in a
- 8:54Speaker 3: major way. And that is turning a lot of people
- 8:59Speaker 3: in the MAGA movement against Trump. They do not like
- 9:03Speaker 3: to see innocent civilians killed with our tax dollars. And
- 9:08Speaker 3: it's funny, I just heard that you ran a commercial
- 9:11Speaker 3: for the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. They want
- 9:15Speaker 3: you to donate. I'm saying... We're giving you military aid.
- 9:19Speaker 3: You own all of our politicians. You're running our country.
- 9:22Speaker 3: And I think our president is a puppet. And now
- 9:27Speaker 3: they want us to donate to the International Fellowship. But
- 9:32Speaker 3: we should be giving money to the poor civilians in
- 9:35Speaker 3: Lebanon and Gaza. It's crazy.
- 9:38Speaker 4: I mean, basically, as a Trump supporter, he's turned you off, correct?
- 9:45Speaker 5: Correct.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Yeah, when I heard you on, I believe it was
- 9:48Speaker 3: this week on a Monday or Tuesday, you were really
- 9:52Speaker 3: ripping into G2.
- 9:54Speaker 6: Yes.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Rightly so. I said, you're reading the room and you're
- 9:58Speaker 3: looking at the facts. and I don't know what world
- 10:01Speaker 3: G2 is living in, but you sort of cut them
- 10:04Speaker 3: some slack a little bit yesterday. But I think G2
- 10:09Speaker 3: is underestimating how fed up the MAGA movement is with
- 10:14Speaker 3: Donald Trump. And I talked to a lot of people,
- 10:18Speaker 3: a lot of Trump supporters, and And all but the
- 10:21Speaker 3: most diehard Trump supporters have lost their enthusiasm for the guy.
- 10:27Speaker 3: And then he put a thing out, I think it
- 10:30Speaker 3: was today, he's going to dump foreign beef into the
- 10:33Speaker 3: country to lower the price of beef at a 25%
- 10:39Speaker 3: below the market price, no tariffs. And what he should
- 10:43Speaker 3: be doing instead of doing that is helping our cattle
- 10:46Speaker 3: farmers to and building up our herds. But he's going
- 10:50Speaker 3: for like a Biden. Remember when Biden released oil from
- 10:54Speaker 3: the Strategic Reserve just for a short-term gain? Trump is
- 10:59Speaker 3: doing the same thing with beef. And I don't know
- 11:04Speaker 3: if it's going to help him or not, but he's
- 11:07Speaker 3: down in the polls.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Yeah, but basically economically, you're not thrilled with what's going
- 11:15Speaker 2: on in the country.
- 11:17Speaker 3: No, but as far as you asked me, if things
- 11:20Speaker 3: are good, things are great in the market. And this AI,
- 11:26Speaker 3: you're not going to stop it. It's going to be
- 11:28Speaker 3: a big multi-year boom for the investors in the stock
- 11:33Speaker 3: market and the people that have money. But I feel
- 11:36Speaker 3: sorry for the average guy that's paying his house payments
- 11:42Speaker 3: and insurance and groceries and utilities. And when Trump ran,
- 11:48Speaker 3: he said he was going to lower our utility bills
- 11:52Speaker 3: next to nothing. And I said, what has happened to
- 11:54Speaker 3: the guy? All the promises he made, he broke. And
- 12:00Speaker 3: I know the Epstein files will never, nothing will overcome
- 12:03Speaker 3: of that. That's a done deal. And the debt is
- 12:07Speaker 3: what bothers me the most. But after that, well, put
- 12:11Speaker 3: the war on the top of it. This stupid war
- 12:14Speaker 3: that we started, that we didn't have to start.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Well, I would back up and drop the we, the
- 12:20Speaker 2: stupid war that he started.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Right, yes. It was, well, it was..
- 12:25Speaker 2: I mean, there wasn't any debate in Congress. I mean,
- 12:28Speaker 2: your senators and congressmen really didn't have a vote or
- 12:30Speaker 2: a say-so on it and still really haven't had one
- 12:33Speaker 2: on it.
- 12:34Speaker 3: But they really haven't protested the war that much.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Right.
- 12:38Speaker 3: The Democrats, it's all one big uniparty. The Senate is
- 12:41Speaker 3: a joke, tunes a joke, do nothing, they've done nothing. And, well,
- 12:49Speaker 3: the Democrats now have their own problem with the DSA
- 12:52Speaker 3: wing of the party, but they seem to have that
- 12:55Speaker 3: almost under control. But we'll see how the midterms turn out.
- 13:02Speaker 3: But then the other thing that bothers me is all
- 13:04Speaker 3: of the promises that he made, you know, he just
- 13:08Speaker 3: turned his back on everybody. And he threw all of
- 13:11Speaker 3: his allies and all the MAGA people under the bus.
- 13:15Speaker 3: You know, you go back, we have a two-party system
- 13:17Speaker 3: that I think will never change. It almost changed with
- 13:21Speaker 3: Ross Perot, and then the Tea Party had a little shot,
- 13:25Speaker 3: but that was, it sort of fizzled out and it
- 13:27Speaker 3: became MAGA, and then Trump, I think, hijacked the MAGA movement,
- 13:32Speaker 3: which was the original Tea Party movement, and now he's
- 13:36Speaker 3: dumped MAGA as far as I'm concerned, but it's Not
- 13:41Speaker 3: looking good.
- 13:43Speaker 2: I wish I could say, I hope I'm wrong, but
- 13:45Speaker 2: I'm not optimistic, economically speaking. We shall see as time
- 13:50Speaker 2: goes on. Always a pleasure talking to you.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 13:53Speaker 3: One other quick thing. I was talking about politicians, senators, congressmen.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Down on the local level, it really disturbs me what
- 14:01Speaker 3: I see in cities like Youngstown, where we have incompetent
- 14:07Speaker 3: leadership in city council, in the mayor, I believe. They
- 14:11Speaker 3: don't know what they're doing. They can't get out of
- 14:13Speaker 3: their own way. Nothing seems to be coordinated. And all
- 14:17Speaker 3: the COVID money, I think, is almost gone. They've blown
- 14:20Speaker 3: it on parks, on playgrounds. And they had the program
- 14:26Speaker 3: for putting new roofs on dilapidated homes and then helping
- 14:30Speaker 3: other people out. And they just basically gave the money away.
- 14:35Speaker 3: And now we have nothing to show for it. And
- 14:39Speaker 3: if you drive down Wick Avenue, it's terrible. They should
- 14:44Speaker 3: have put the new fire and police station there.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Right.
- 14:48Speaker 3: They were going to do that. That would have been
- 14:50Speaker 3: a great asset to the city. It was a corridor
- 14:53Speaker 3: into YSU, Earthland, and the downtown area. But they just,
- 14:59Speaker 3: now what's going to happen when they're out of money?
- 15:02Speaker 3: And they're a bunch of clowns.
- 15:05Speaker 4: All right. Appreciate it. Thank you. NewsRadio 570. Don't hear
- 15:08Speaker 4: you again.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Just talking about Youngstown, I want to acknowledge the passing
- 15:13Speaker 2: of Bob Bush. Many of you might remember him. He
- 15:18Speaker 2: was with the Youngstown Police Department and was the chief
- 15:21Speaker 2: of police. And I thought a hell of a guy.
- 15:25Speaker 2: It was an honor to know Bob Bush and to
- 15:28Speaker 2: talk to him on the radio over the years, both
- 15:32Speaker 2: as police chief and when he left that position. And
- 15:36Speaker 2: I thought he was a very, very interesting man, to
- 15:39Speaker 2: say the least. Was in Vietnam. Was a gunner on
- 15:41Speaker 2: a helicopter. And ultimately was in the police department. Became
- 15:48Speaker 2: a lawyer and police chief. And he has passed away.
- 15:54Speaker 5: And a.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Heck of a life, though. Lived a heck of a life.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Accomplished a lot in his time. News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 16:01Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 16:05Speaker 6: Ron, you and Options Guy said everything I was going
- 16:08Speaker 6: to say, except I disagree with Options Guy. We have
- 16:13Speaker 6: a uniparty, not a two-party system, and people are leaving
- 16:18Speaker 6: both the Democrats.
- 16:19Speaker 2: I think that's what he said, though. I don't think
- 16:21Speaker 2: you disagree. I think you're in agreement. I think that's
- 16:23Speaker 2: exactly what he said. It's like the same party. But
- 16:26Speaker 2: I'm going to back up, and I'm going to ask
- 16:28Speaker 2: you the same question. Economically speaking, from Japan to the
- 16:33Speaker 2: bond yields yesterday, I mean, these are global things that
- 16:36Speaker 2: are going on as far as the global economy is concerned,
- 16:39Speaker 2: and I find them all deeply disturbing and troubling, and
- 16:42Speaker 2: I'm genuinely concerned about the global economy because of this
- 16:46Speaker 2: war situation.
- 16:48Speaker 4: Your comment.
- 16:50Speaker 6: Well, before I answer your question, people are leaving both
- 16:54Speaker 6: the Democrats in Republican Party and record numbers.
- 16:59Speaker 4: Yeah, but you've got to go.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Yeah, but stand by for a minute. I'll come right
- 17:04Speaker 2: back to you and more after this. Ron Ferb, it's
- 17:10Speaker 2: always a pleasure to check in with Mike Leonard out
- 17:11Speaker 2: of Bernard Daniels. Ron Ferb from the Kingdom of Mahoning.
- 17:17Speaker 2: So give me, based on what I've asked the first caller,
- 17:20Speaker 2: I'm just going to ask you the same question. Most
- 17:23Speaker 2: people don't understand this stuff, and they might not even
- 17:25Speaker 2: follow it. But these are, in my opinion, bad economic
- 17:29Speaker 2: news for the globe when you're bailing out Japan and
- 17:33Speaker 2: when you're doing the bond buyback that's going on. And
- 17:39Speaker 2: with the situation as far as energy goes, with this
- 17:42Speaker 2: war situation that Trump has created and the debt and
- 17:46Speaker 2: deficit situation, They were saying Trump's responsible for $ 4 trillion
- 17:51Speaker 2: over two years. Give me your take on all of
- 17:57Speaker 2: that and what you see and where you think it's headed.
- 18:01Speaker 6: Well, first of all, we shouldn't be bailing out anybody.
- 18:06Speaker 6: Japan is an advanced, industrialized economy. Why are we bailing
- 18:12Speaker 6: them out? And she, too, was giving.
- 18:15Speaker 4: You a hard time the other day.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Right.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Pause for a second. We're bailing them out because Japan
- 18:19Speaker 2: was going to cash in. They have a trillion dollars
- 18:22Speaker 2: in treasuries, and they were going to start cashing them in.
- 18:24Speaker 2: And they felt if they did that, the interest rates
- 18:27Speaker 2: would go up and it would be further in the hole.
- 18:29Speaker 2: We kind of bailed them out for our own selfish reasons.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 18:33Speaker 6: Yeah, that's what I said the other day. And I
- 18:35Speaker 6: also mentioned that they're probably cashing in treasuries to pay
- 18:40Speaker 6: for the high price of oil because... They import 90%
- 18:45Speaker 6: of their oil. They have very little oil. Now, G2
- 18:49Speaker 6: has given you a hard time the other day because
- 18:52Speaker 6: he thinks everything is affordable and Republican. Economic policies are
- 18:57Speaker 6: good for the country. Now, I'm going to give G2
- 19:00Speaker 6: a reality check. Walmart's stock is dropping because investors fear
- 19:06Speaker 6: that more Americans will not be able to afford basic
- 19:10Speaker 6: necessities like food and clothes. And, Ron, gold is soaring
- 19:15Speaker 6: in price because Wall Street expects inflation to get worse.
- 19:20Speaker 6: It's not just gold. All my commodity stocks are soaring.
- 19:24Speaker 6: If you've got copper going up, you've got platinum going up, palladium,
- 19:29Speaker 6: iron ore, those costs in most cases are going to
- 19:34Speaker 6: be passed on to the consumer at the retail level.
- 19:39Speaker 6: And oil prices jumped. as Trump threatens economic warfare on Iran.
- 19:45Speaker 6: That was headline news today. But, Ron, I want to
- 19:50Speaker 6: say to G2, 92% of Americans say they have delayed
- 19:56Speaker 6: or totally abandoned medical care because they fear the cost,
- 20:01Speaker 6: especially the young generation. Young people are not getting the
- 20:05Speaker 6: care they need because of the cost. And a recent
- 20:10Speaker 6: study says that AI, artificial intelligence, is also making health
- 20:16Speaker 6: care more expensive, not cheaper. Only the middle class and
- 20:21Speaker 6: the millionaires are getting the care they need. Now, a
- 20:25Speaker 6: recent study by the Tax Policy Center found that G2' s
- 20:30Speaker 6: beloved tariff taxes are regressive. meaning it is hurting lower
- 20:35Speaker 6: income earners a lot more than higher income earners. And
- 20:40Speaker 6: another study has shown that every taxpayer dollar spent on
- 20:45Speaker 6: the military is ineffective in creating a significant number of jobs.
- 20:51Speaker 6: And Ron, you know that interest rate debt is now
- 20:56Speaker 6: the largest expense item in the federal budget. larger than
- 21:01Speaker 6: the war expense, and Social Security.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Isn't that something?
- 21:06Speaker 2: It was the second biggest expense, other than Social Security,
- 21:12Speaker 2: was just the interest payment on the debt. Just paying
- 21:15Speaker 2: the interest, not lowering it all. But we continue to
- 21:18Speaker 2: run the debt up, and interest rates are going up
- 21:22Speaker 2: because of the demand for borrowing money from the government.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Supply and demand. Government's borrowing so much money. AI's borrowing
- 21:30Speaker 2: so much money to expand that interest rates are going
- 21:33Speaker 2: up without the Fed raising them. And now as a
- 21:35Speaker 2: result of that, you're saying that the interest is now
- 21:38Speaker 2: the number one expense.
- 21:39Speaker 4: And what do you get for it?
- 21:40Speaker 5: Nothing.
- 21:41Speaker 2: You're not paying the debt down. You're getting absolutely nothing.
- 21:45Speaker 2: It's a terrible position that all of these politicians have
- 21:48Speaker 2: put this country in, Democrats and Republicans.
- 21:51Speaker 4: And the chickens are coming home to roost.
- 21:56Speaker 6: Well, you know, Ron, I had called your show, I
- 21:59Speaker 6: don't know, a year and a half ago, something like that.
- 22:03Speaker 6: I said I was looking at a technical chart of
- 22:06Speaker 6: interest rate debt. And I said it was the scariest
- 22:09Speaker 6: thing I'd ever seen. If you see, like, stocks uptrending,
- 22:14Speaker 6: it goes up a few days, then goes down a
- 22:17Speaker 6: little bit. Goes up a few more days, a few
- 22:20Speaker 6: more weeks.
- 22:21Speaker 5: Goes down.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Stand by. Stand by. Let me do my break. I'll
- 22:24Speaker 4: come back.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Wrap it up with Frank. Take more of your calls.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Some insights from Frank ahead. News Radio 570 WKVN.
- 22:36Speaker 7: Police in Canton are looking for a woman suspected in
- 22:38Speaker 7: a double shooting. 24-year-old Nikala Smith allegedly shot two women
- 22:42Speaker 7: Tuesday night on 6th Street Southwest. The victims were taken
- 22:46Speaker 7: to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Smith, meanwhile, is considered
- 22:50Speaker 7: armed and dangerous. One man is seriously injured after trying
- 22:54Speaker 7: to break up a fight in the Cincinnati area Wednesday afternoon.
- 22:57Speaker 7: Officers responded to the scene on Vine Street in Elmwood
- 23:00Speaker 7: Place to find the victim shot in the chest. The
- 23:03Speaker 7: suspect was taken into custody several hours later. Voters could
- 23:06Speaker 7: get a say in the future of the former Avon
- 23:08Speaker 7: Lake power plant site. A group has submitted a proposed
- 23:11Speaker 7: charter amendment that would require voter approval for rezoning or
- 23:15Speaker 7: tax increment financing tied to the 131-acre property. City Council
- 23:20Speaker 7: previously approved zoning changes allowing mixed-use development at the site.
- 23:24Speaker 4: I'm Andy Betts.

- 23:30Speaker 1: and sports radio.
- 23:31Speaker 4: Podcast 2. Download the app.
- 23:34Speaker 8: Free never sounded so good.
- 23:35Speaker 4: A to Z dependable on verb.
- 23:37Speaker 1: On NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 23:42Speaker 2: All right, 335 in the afternoon, NewsRadio 570 WKBN. So it's...
- 23:48Speaker 2: It's not a good scenario. You were talking about, and
- 23:53Speaker 2: to the caller before you, about one party. They all
- 23:56Speaker 2: seem to be on the same page. But you've got
- 23:58Speaker 2: to vote for somebody. And in many cases, most of
- 24:01Speaker 2: my life, it has been the lesser of two evils
- 24:04Speaker 2: to a large extent. And there's no way I can
- 24:07Speaker 2: vote for Amy Acton. There's no way I could vote
- 24:10Speaker 2: for Sherrod Brown. There's no way I could vote for
- 24:12Speaker 2: any of these crazy Democrats. As far as the ones,
- 24:17Speaker 2: like if you're asking me, do I think AOC should
- 24:20Speaker 2: be president? No, I think she's a nitwit or Gavin Newsom.
- 24:23Speaker 2: I think he's been a lousy governor. I don't see
- 24:26Speaker 2: anybody worthwhile on the Democrat side. And quite frankly, their
- 24:31Speaker 2: agenda and the problems they created, I couldn't vote for
- 24:35Speaker 2: any of them. So sometimes it's the lesser two evils.
- 24:38Speaker 2: I could enthusiastically vote for Ron DeSantis. I could tell
- 24:41Speaker 2: you that. And many of the Republicans, I would support
- 24:47Speaker 2: certainly over any Democrat. And Trump, unfortunately, has been a
- 24:52Speaker 2: little disappointing lately. But we got some serious, I believe, serious,
- 24:57Speaker 2: serious economic issues in this country. I mean, serious economic issues.
- 25:04Speaker 2: And it is in part because of the war and
- 25:08Speaker 2: in part because of the ignorant or ignoring the debt
- 25:11Speaker 2: and deficits. I mean, this idea, interest being your number
- 25:14Speaker 2: one expense, is just lunacy and a waste of your
- 25:17Speaker 2: tax dollars. Okay, go ahead with your comments and what you.
- 25:21Speaker 6: Have to add. Well, I've never voted Republican or Democrat.
- 25:25Speaker 6: I've always voted Libertarian. And interest rate expense is growing
- 25:32Speaker 6: at an exponential rate with no end in sight. How
- 25:37Speaker 6: long before interest rate expense takes every taxpayer dollar to service?
- 25:43Speaker 6: And Apple had its worst post-earnings drop in 13 years.
- 25:49Speaker 6: Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, said he will now
- 25:52Speaker 6: buy fewer chips from Micron Technology and more chips from
- 25:57Speaker 6: other memory suppliers. And on this news, Micron Stop had
- 26:03Speaker 6: another big drop.
- 26:05Speaker 4: Yeah. It's not good. I mean, I don't see any
- 26:09Speaker 4: good economic signs. Do you?
- 26:12Speaker 3: No, I don't.
- 26:13Speaker 6: But, you know, Ron, millions of young people are facing
- 26:18Speaker 6: collection efforts and wage garnishment on top of all the
- 26:23Speaker 6: other challenges they face at the worst possible time.
- 26:28Speaker 2: I read this to John Arnold last night. I've got
- 26:34Speaker 2: to see if I can find it again. that somebody
- 26:38Speaker 2: had posted. And I thought it was really, really well
- 26:42Speaker 2: written here that it had to do with buying a home.
- 26:48Speaker 4: Okay, here it is.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Okay, this guy posted this. Now, there's a picture of
- 26:53Speaker 2: the home, okay? There's a picture of a home. I
- 26:55Speaker 2: would describe it. It'd be hard for you to understand
- 26:57Speaker 2: because you're in Florida. But it looks like a home
- 27:03Speaker 2: that you'd see in any of the Joe Koch developments,
- 27:05Speaker 2: all right?
- 27:05Speaker 4: It looks... If you're familiar, it looks like your typical
- 27:09Speaker 4: middle class home. All right.
- 27:11Speaker 2: And the guy and the guy says, my dad bought
- 27:13Speaker 2: a house on this street in 1996, working at a
- 27:15Speaker 2: local warehouse. Today, my wife, a nurse and I and
- 27:19Speaker 2: accountants with two full time salaries are struggling to qualify
- 27:23Speaker 2: for a mortgage on houses in the same neighborhood. Young
- 27:26Speaker 2: people didn't suddenly forget how to work hard. Hard work
- 27:29Speaker 2: just stopped buying what it used to. I think that
- 27:32Speaker 2: is spot on, don't you?
- 27:36Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I called a week or two ago
- 27:40Speaker 6: and said that Wall Street expects mortgage rates to rise again.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Yeah, interest rates, I told you, are going up. It
- 27:49Speaker 2: doesn't matter what the Fed does because of supply and demands.
- 27:53Speaker 6: Well, the reason why the Fed buys back treasuries is
- 28:00Speaker 6: they can't find enough buyers, foreign buyers to buy our
- 28:04Speaker 6: junk bonds. Interest rates will probably have to go a
- 28:08Speaker 6: lot higher on federal government to get people to buy them.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Well, the problem is exactly as you say.
- 28:15Speaker 2: As the debt of the country continues to go up
- 28:18Speaker 2: and as interest rates go up, the amount of money
- 28:21Speaker 2: that we have to spend on just servicing the debt
- 28:24Speaker 2: continues to go up.
- 28:25Speaker 4: We take in $ 4. 5 trillion.
- 28:27Speaker 2: In federal taxes a year, income taxes a year, $ 4.
- 28:30Speaker 4: 5 trillion.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Well, if your number one expense is just the interest,
- 28:35Speaker 2: you don't get anything for that. And you're not lowering it.
- 28:39Speaker 2: It just goes on and on and on. And it's
- 28:43Speaker 2: just stupid money management. This country can't afford to give
- 28:45Speaker 2: anybody foreign aid. It's got to take a serious look
- 28:48Speaker 2: at cutting expenditures. And we don't cut Social Security and
- 28:53Speaker 2: we don't cut Medicare. You know, I talk about things
- 28:55Speaker 2: that we shouldn't cut. But you've got the Democrats out
- 28:59Speaker 2: there saying it should be Medicare for all. It should
- 29:02Speaker 2: be another government program. No, we can't afford the ones
- 29:05Speaker 2: we have now, for God's sakes. And the Democrats are
- 29:08Speaker 2: out there championing more stuff. And I'm thinking to myself,
- 29:11Speaker 2: are you paying attention? We're $ 40 trillion in debt. Are
- 29:15Speaker 2: you paying attention to what the interest payments are in this?
- 29:17Speaker 2: And you want to give Medicare for all? The Democrats
- 29:21Speaker 2: are insane.
- 29:22Speaker 4: All right, Frank. Thanks, buddy. Appreciate it. As always, have
- 29:25Speaker 4: a great weekend. You're on the air.
- 29:26Speaker 5: You're on the air.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Hello.
- 29:30Speaker 5: Yes. Yeah. You know, I've been listening to your talk show,
- 29:37Speaker 5: and I see a lot of these people coming up
- 29:39Speaker 5: to you. and doom all the time. So I'm saying
- 29:42Speaker 5: to myself, what exactly do we want? I mean, do
- 29:45Speaker 5: we want Iran to have a nuclear weapon and kill
- 29:48Speaker 5: us all?
- 29:49Speaker 8: Or what?
- 29:50Speaker 5: Can't we take it for six months and see how
- 29:52Speaker 5: it goes? I mean, you know, it really baffles me
- 29:56Speaker 5: as people come... Keep calling up, gloom and doom, gloom
- 29:59Speaker 5: and doom. You know, the stock went down, the stock
- 30:02Speaker 5: went up. I heard this guy talk about, you know,
- 30:04Speaker 5: micron technology going down. I just heard the interview on CNBC,
- 30:11Speaker 5: and they are talking about nothing but prosperity.
- 30:14Speaker 8: And they are, you.
- 30:15Speaker 5: Know, so I'm saying to myself, what exactly do Americans want?
- 30:22Speaker 5: I mean, do you want a low price forever at
- 30:24Speaker 5: the cost of Iran having a nuclear weapon and killing
- 30:27Speaker 5: us all?
- 30:27Speaker 9: Or what?
- 30:29Speaker 5: It baffles me to listen to all these guys talk
- 30:31Speaker 5: about gloom and doom all the time. And I like
- 30:34Speaker 5: to listen to your comments. Thank you so much.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Thank you for your call. And I'll let your comments
- 30:40Speaker 2: stand and see what people have to say about it.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Let people react to your comments.
- 30:44Speaker 4: You're on the air.
- 30:47Speaker 5: Hello? Hello?
- 30:50Speaker 4: Well, I waited for you. I wish you would have
- 30:52Speaker 4: waited for me. You're on the air.
- 30:54Speaker 8: Hello. Well, I waited for you. I wish you'd have
- 30:58Speaker 8: hung up on me.
- 31:00Speaker 4: Well, you know this much. You know that's coming.
- 31:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:05Speaker 8: Well, listen, a couple, three things. Number one, right? I,
- 31:11Speaker 8: how can I put this? I'm going to defend G2.
- 31:16Speaker 8: I may disagree with him. But I'm going to defend
- 31:20Speaker 8: him in the conversation he had with you. He was
- 31:24Speaker 8: trying to..
- 31:25Speaker 2: I'll defend him. I'll defend him as well. You know,
- 31:28Speaker 2: it's okay for G2 and me to disagree on stuff.
- 31:31Speaker 2: I somewhat enjoyed the conversation. You can disagree. We don't
- 31:35Speaker 2: agree on everything. That's healthy and that's good. As a
- 31:38Speaker 2: matter of fact, you and I don't agree on much,
- 31:41Speaker 2: but it's still... But I don't dislike you at all. Well,
- 31:46Speaker 2: some days I do.
- 31:48Speaker 8: Yeah, well, you got to understand something, Ron.
- 31:50Speaker 5: Yes.
- 31:50Speaker 8: G2 was trying to teach you guys something.
- 31:52Speaker 5: Uh-huh.
- 31:53Speaker 8: And it was a hard lesson for me to learn.
- 31:57Speaker 8: And a guy that retired, he used to work in
- 32:01Speaker 8: your station. I think his first name was Dan. Me
- 32:04Speaker 8: and him went around about something one time, and he
- 32:07Speaker 8: finally got me to listen to him. Now, G2 tried
- 32:12Speaker 8: to teach you guys something, but you guys didn't want
- 32:15Speaker 8: to listen. And what he was trying to teach you
- 32:19Speaker 8: is this. It does not matter how good or how
- 32:25Speaker 8: bad your idea is. If you don't get elected, it
- 32:31Speaker 8: doesn't matter. So if you say something during a campaign
- 32:36Speaker 8: to get you elected, well, so what? You got elected.
- 32:40Speaker 8: So what G2 was trying to tell you guys is, listen.
- 32:46Speaker 8: You're going to vote Republican... regardless of how bad these
- 32:51Speaker 8: guys are. You can have a Republican in the White House,
- 32:55Speaker 8: a Republican in the Republican-held Senate, Republican-held House, Republican-held state governors,
- 33:03Speaker 8: Republican-held state Senate.
- 33:08Speaker 2: You're saying I would vote Republican over Democrats despite my
- 33:14Speaker 2: disagreements with them because the Democrats are much worse.
- 33:17Speaker 4: I would plead guilty to that, Your Honor.
- 33:20Speaker 8: So G2 is trying to tell you guys, get with
- 33:23Speaker 8: the program. The program is we have to get our
- 33:26Speaker 8: guys elected. If our guys don't get elected, then we
- 33:31Speaker 8: will have problems. And what I say to that is,
- 33:35Speaker 8: before I go to the next subject is, The definition
- 33:39Speaker 8: of insanity is doing the same thing over and over
- 33:42Speaker 8: and expecting a different result.
- 33:45Speaker 9: No, wait a minute.
- 33:47Speaker 4: Wait a minute. Dirty pool.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Dirty pool here. So here I think you're—folks, listen. This
- 33:58Speaker 2: was masterfully executed by Emanuel. Right when I think he's
- 34:02Speaker 2: going to pay G2 a compliment, he's saying if he
- 34:06Speaker 2: was doing the same thing over and over again and
- 34:08Speaker 2: expecting different results, that's a definition of insanity.
- 34:11Speaker 4: Boy, you got me hook, line, and sinker.
- 34:13Speaker 8: Okay, I'm going to leave on that. Have a nice weekend.
- 34:18Speaker 4: Boy, oh boy, oh boy.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Was that something? Boy, he reeled me in, didn't he?
- 34:25Speaker 2: He just reeled me in. I want to defend G2,
- 34:28Speaker 2: and G2' s talking how despite all of the stuff that's
- 34:32Speaker 2: bad that's going on, the never-ending war, the debt of
- 34:37Speaker 2: the country, the bond bailouts, and all this kind of stuff,
- 34:43Speaker 2: he's just making a point that you've got to get
- 34:45Speaker 2: more Republicans elected.
- 34:49Speaker 4: Because..
- 34:52Speaker 2: You'll get different results. What do they say? If you
- 34:58Speaker 2: expect different, do the same thing. Expect different results. It's, oh, boy,
- 35:01Speaker 2: did he reel me in. Boy, did he get me good.
- 35:04Speaker 2: News Radio 570. But it's like I say, and I'm realistic,
- 35:08Speaker 2: there is absolutely no possible way I would ever vote
- 35:12Speaker 2: for Sherry Brown. Sherrod Brown is a left-wing Biden supporting
- 35:18Speaker 2: every wacky thing that Biden did. I cannot go back
- 35:21Speaker 2: to a party that thinks men can have babies. I
- 35:24Speaker 2: cannot go back to a party that can't define what
- 35:26Speaker 2: a woman is. I can't go back to a party
- 35:29Speaker 2: that says we want to appoint a Supreme Court justice,
- 35:31Speaker 2: but the justice must be black and female and is
- 35:35Speaker 2: just probably one of the lowest IQ members of.
- 35:39Speaker 4: That court ever.
- 35:41Speaker 2: And... I can't go back to that party that says
- 35:44Speaker 2: we've got to have all this transgender nonsense. So I
- 35:50Speaker 2: can't go back to that party on its social agenda
- 35:52Speaker 2: and certainly not on its economic agenda, which created the
- 35:57Speaker 2: bulk of this inflation and its energy agenda. There is
- 36:01Speaker 2: absolutely no way as an alternative I can say that's
- 36:04Speaker 2: a better choice as a thinking man. So sometimes it's
- 36:09Speaker 2: the lesser of two evils, but... I would absolutely be
- 36:15Speaker 2: voting for the Republican John Houston. And absolutely be voting
- 36:21Speaker 2: for the Republican candidate for governor of Ohio. So, you know, there,
- 36:30Speaker 2: I mean, there you have it. Now, these are in
- 36:33Speaker 2: your state races and your federal races.
- 36:39Speaker 4: So there you have it.
- 36:41Speaker 5: All right.
- 36:42Speaker 4: Boy, did he get me good. You're on the air.
- 36:45Speaker 10: Yeah, I have some updates on property tax collections. Becky
- 36:48Speaker 10: and I were at Rogers Flea Market today, and we
- 36:51Speaker 10: had a good day getting signatures and picked up six circulators.
- 36:54Speaker 10: I had packets ready for anyone who wanted to be
- 36:56Speaker 10: a circulator, and I'm going to do that at the Canfield.
- 36:58Speaker 6: Fair as well.
- 37:00Speaker 10: So if you signed at the fair already, if you
- 37:02Speaker 10: want to stop in the tent and get a packet,
- 37:04Speaker 10: you could circulate a little bit among people you know.
- 37:07Speaker 10: I was at the Ashtabula County Fair last weekend, which
- 37:11Speaker 10: was my first time there. Very small fair, but we
- 37:14Speaker 10: did great. We got like 500 signatures over the course
- 37:16Speaker 10: of the fair.
- 37:18Speaker 3: So that's really.
- 37:18Speaker 10: Good for a small fair. Brian Massey has a new
- 37:22Speaker 10: hat out, Axe Ohio Tax Hat.
- 37:24Speaker 8: It's black.
- 37:25Speaker 10: It's got white lettering and red lettering on it. He
- 37:28Speaker 10: wants to know if you want me to get you
- 37:30Speaker 10: a copy. Would you like a hat from Axe Ohio Tax?
- 37:34Speaker 4: Anything Brian Massey is willing to do, I'm 100% for.
- 37:38Speaker 2: He is a great, he is really, first of all,
- 37:41Speaker 2: I got a world of respect for all you are doing.
- 37:43Speaker 2: I mean, you are just giving it your all. And
- 37:47Speaker 2: you represent everything great about citizens getting involved to try
- 37:51Speaker 2: to make a change. giving up so much of your
- 37:54Speaker 2: free time. It's just so admirable. And Becky, in your
- 37:57Speaker 2: entire organization, and Brian Massey. And anytime I talk with Pleschnik,
- 38:02Speaker 2: it is just, every time I talk with Commissioner John
- 38:04Speaker 2: Pleschnik from Lake County, whenever I end that conversation, I
- 38:08Speaker 2: just think that is a smart man. Oh, yeah.
- 38:12Speaker 10: Yeah. He was good on the show. I heard it
- 38:15Speaker 10: the last time he was on your show a couple
- 38:16Speaker 10: weeks ago.
- 38:17Speaker 1: He's really good.
- 38:17Speaker 10: He helped our movement a lot.
- 38:19Speaker 4: Oh, he's so smart.
- 38:21Speaker 10: He's very dynamic.
- 38:22Speaker 2: I would love to see a guy like that actually
- 38:24Speaker 2: become governor of the state. I genuinely would with his philosophy.
- 38:28Speaker 2: The state would be much better off. So the fair
- 38:30Speaker 2: is September 2nd through Labor Day. So let's see. So
- 38:34Speaker 2: that's about a couple weeks away.
- 38:37Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 38:37Speaker 10: We'll be collecting all days of the fair. So come
- 38:40Speaker 10: see us. We're sort of on the corner of Smith
- 38:43Speaker 10: and Poland streets once you're inside the fair.
- 38:46Speaker 2: I really think you should think about getting like a
- 38:48Speaker 2: lemon shake stand and also take signatures. There's no reason, Denise,
- 38:52Speaker 2: you can't make a buck or two while you're out
- 38:55Speaker 2: there and maybe cook some fries, maybe a kielbasa sandwich.
- 39:01Speaker 2: And in addition to getting signatures, it could be a
- 39:03Speaker 2: whole new career for you.
- 39:05Speaker 4: Let's do it this way.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Becky could be making the lemon shakes and the fries.
- 39:11Speaker 2: You could be collecting the signatures.
- 39:13Speaker 10: Frank could be drilling some stuff, yeah.
- 39:16Speaker 6: Yes.
- 39:16Speaker 2: I think it all worked together. It's time to get
- 39:19Speaker 2: yourself a trailer and begin that carny life that you
- 39:23Speaker 2: so desire.
- 39:24Speaker 9: Well, what I'm.
- 39:25Speaker 10: Hoping is we're so busy taking signatures, we would have
- 39:28Speaker 10: no time to do that.
- 39:29Speaker 4: Well, I don't.
- 39:30Speaker 10: My plan.
- 39:30Speaker 2: There's three of you. Somebody could be doing the fries
- 39:33Speaker 2: and lemon shakes. The other two could be getting signatures.
- 39:35Speaker 10: Listen, I got 20 volunteers lined up to help me.
- 39:38Speaker 9: 20 people.
- 39:40Speaker 10: And I got people coming in from Lake, from Portage,
- 39:42Speaker 10: and from Stark.
- 39:43Speaker 3: To work a couple shifts.
- 39:45Speaker 4: Really?
- 39:45Speaker 10: Stand by.
- 39:47Speaker 4: Stand by.
- 39:48Speaker 5: Stand by.
- 39:48Speaker 4: Back with Denise and more in a minute. Stay tuned.
- 39:55Speaker 4: Your one stop for advertising? Call 844-844-IHEART.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Monday's just got better at Springfield Grill. Enjoy half-priced wine
- 40:04Speaker 2: all day long. Great food, amazing value. Cheers to Monday.
- 40:09Speaker 9: No required subscriptions, no trial periods, no surprise charges, no
- 40:13Speaker 9: monthly fees.
- 40:14Speaker 4: IHEART Radio is different. It's 100% free. Download the IHEART
- 40:18Speaker 4: Radio app now. I'm not great with words after a fight. WKBN.
- 40:23Speaker 4: All right, it's 3.54 in the afternoon. Go ahead, Denise.
- 40:27Speaker 10: Yeah, so again, if people want to sign at the
- 40:29Speaker 10: fair or if they've already signed and they want to
- 40:31Speaker 10: come out and get a packet, I'll give them a
- 40:33Speaker 10: packet so they can circulate. It'll have instructions and petitions
- 40:36Speaker 10: in there. You know, even if you get 10 or 20,
- 40:38Speaker 10: that's really what we need people to do across the
- 40:41Speaker 10: state of Ohio. We should just get a sum, and
- 40:44Speaker 10: then the rest of us, you know, we're just doing
- 40:45Speaker 10: as much as we can out.
- 40:46Speaker 7: There, so..
- 40:48Speaker 2: Well, if you don't want to do, like, a stand
- 40:50Speaker 2: in addition to get the signatures, what about, like, the
- 40:53Speaker 2: balloons and darts? And if you, you know, hit four balloons,
- 40:56Speaker 2: you get a teddy bear. It's something I'm trying to do.
- 40:58Speaker 10: Juan, you're giving me more work.
- 40:59Speaker 3: I don't need more work.
- 41:00Speaker 2: I'm trying to have it so you can get signatures
- 41:04Speaker 2: and make a buck as well. You give all your
- 41:06Speaker 2: time for free, and you're doing all of this, and
- 41:08Speaker 2: we all benefit from it. I'm just trying to get
- 41:11Speaker 2: some money in your pockets.
- 41:12Speaker 5: Okay.
- 41:14Speaker 4: You might enjoy the car.
- 41:15Speaker 10: The money in my pocket is going to be when
- 41:16Speaker 10: this passes.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Yeah, but you were at the Ashtabula Fair. You're at, obviously,
- 41:21Speaker 2: the Canfield Fair. You can make the rounds of the fair.
- 41:23Speaker 2: You might as well make a couple of bucks. You
- 41:26Speaker 2: and Becky there.
- 41:26Speaker 5: All right.
- 41:27Speaker 4: Thank you, Denise. Appreciate it. You're on the air.
- 41:30Speaker 5: It's 10 times.
- 41:35Speaker 2: Maybe you should be out there with Denise and Becky
- 41:38Speaker 2: when they're collecting signatures just.
- 41:41Speaker 8: To make an appearance.
- 41:45Speaker 4: You should be there making an appearance. Say, here's J.J.
- 41:49Speaker 4: the Trumpster, formerly J.J.
- 41:50Speaker 9: The Liberal. It'd be like, well, who's asking for the signature?
- 41:57Speaker 2: Yes.
- 41:58Speaker 9: She's bringing in hired guns now. She's getting people from outside.
- 42:02Speaker 9: She's just doing some wonderful work. She really was. She
- 42:05Speaker 9: was a real pleasant person when I met her. She
- 42:07Speaker 9: was very receptive.
- 42:09Speaker 4: Do you go to the fair? JJ, do you attend
- 42:12Speaker 4: the fair?
- 42:13Speaker 3: Pardon me?
- 42:14Speaker 4: Do you go to the Canfield Fair?
- 42:17Speaker 9: I go one time with, you know, because my... My
- 42:20Speaker 9: son's a little sensitive to noise and crowds, and he
- 42:23Speaker 9: tries to go in the evening.
- 42:24Speaker 2: I mean, you could always leave him home and go
- 42:28Speaker 2: by yourself. I mean, it is possible. I mean, sometimes
- 42:34Speaker 2: you get strayed out by yourself. By the way, let's
- 42:36Speaker 2: get an update, an important update. How's the destruction of
- 42:39Speaker 2: the Rite Aid doing in Cornersburg? Live, my cub reporter
- 42:44Speaker 2: live from Cornersburg on the destruction of the Rite Aid
- 42:48Speaker 2: where they're going to be building a sheet station across
- 42:50Speaker 2: from the Walgreens, which is about, what, five places from
- 42:56Speaker 2: your headquarters.
- 42:57Speaker 4: What do you see? What's going on down there?
- 43:00Speaker 9: Well, Ron, this is J.J.
- 43:01Speaker 4: On the spot.
- 43:02Speaker 5: Yes.
- 43:02Speaker 9: I'm out here, and I'm observing the teardown of the
- 43:06Speaker 9: old Rite Aid, and they're going to be the creation
- 43:09Speaker 9: of the new sheets, I believe it is, or the
- 43:12Speaker 9: seaway that we spoke of.
- 43:13Speaker 4: It's the sheets.
- 43:14Speaker 9: And they're getting it lowered there, and we'll be expecting
- 43:17Speaker 9: probably a christening or a ribbon cutting here probably in
- 43:21Speaker 9: the beginning of next year. And so it looks like we're...
- 43:25Speaker 9: Let's get a hold of one of these people. Nobody
- 43:27Speaker 9: wants to speak to me as they're going by here,
- 43:29Speaker 9: but it's coming along.
- 43:30Speaker 5: It's not as.
- 43:33Speaker 9: Bad as it is, but I just noticed again, you
- 43:35Speaker 9: wondered why I was so, not against it, but a
- 43:38Speaker 9: little bit apprehensive. I came to the garage today and
- 43:43Speaker 9: put my son playing the pool and that, and there's
- 43:45Speaker 9: people that are just racing down the street, which is, the.
- 43:49Speaker 4: Speed limit's 25 at best.
- 43:52Speaker 9: And, you know, what they do is they cut through
- 43:55Speaker 9: because they don't want to hit the light. They're coming
- 43:57Speaker 9: up from tip of canoe from Boardman. So they go
- 44:00Speaker 9: down that little lower part and they come up over
- 44:02Speaker 9: the little crest of the hill there.
- 44:03Speaker 4: Now, wait a minute. I'm trying to get my bearings.
- 44:07Speaker 4: You would be coming up..
- 44:10Speaker 9: You're coming from Boardman on Kippa Canoe.
- 44:12Speaker 4: Yeah, and that takes you right to the lights.
- 44:14Speaker 3: You're coming toward Cornersburg.
- 44:17Speaker 4: Standby, standby, standby.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Back with my cub reporter on the scene, J.J. reporting live.
- 44:23Speaker 2: And I'm going to try to get my bearings after this.
