  Where S your confidence? What's the one thing you feel

  like you can't afford to lose? Maybe it's your grades, your
• 0:17
  job, your reputation, your savings, your relationship, your
• 0:21
  talent. We all have something we quietly
• 0:24
  lean on and think, as long as I have this, I'll be OK.
• 0:28
  But what happens when that very thing starts to shake?
• 0:31
  Proverbs Chapter 11, verse 28 says whoever trusts in his
• 0:35
  riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like a
• 0:38
  green leaf. That's a clear warning.
• 0:41
  If your confidence is built on something temporary, eventually
• 0:45
  it will give way. Riches don't just mean money.
• 0:49
  It can mean anything you treat as your security, success,
• 0:52
  popularity, appearance, influence.
• 0:55
  These things can feel solid until suddenly they're not.
• 0:59
  Job chapters 11 to 12 unfold in the middle of deep loss and
• 1:03
  confusion. In Job Chapter 11, verse 13, we
• 1:07
  read if you prepare your heart, you will stretch out your hands
• 1:10
  toward Him. Preparing your heart means
• 1:12
  intentionally turning toward God, not just when life is easy,
• 1:17
  but especially when it's hard. It means saying God before I
• 1:21
  trust my backup plans, before I lean on my own strength.
• 1:24
  I'm coming to you first. And then Job chapter 12, verse
• 1:28
  13 reminds us with God, our wisdom and might.
• 1:31
  He has counsel and understanding.
• 1:34
  Think about that. All wisdom, all might, all
• 1:37
  understanding the answers you're searching for, the direction
• 1:41
  you're unsure about, the strength you feel like you're
• 1:43
  missing. He already holds it when
• 1:45
  everything else shakes. God doesn't.
• 1:48
  Maybe you've experienced the disappointment of putting your
• 1:51
  confidence in something that didn't last.
• 1:53
  The team didn't win. The relationship ended.
• 1:56
  The opportunity slipped away. The savings ran low.

  Those moments can feel crushing, but they also reveal something
• 2:04
  important, what we were truly trusting.
• 2:07
  The righteous flourish like a green leaf, not because their
• 2:10
  circumstances are perfect, but because their roots are deep.
• 2:14
  A green leaf survives heat because it's connected to a
• 2:17
  living source. When your confidence is rooted
• 2:20
  in God, you may bend but you won't break.
• 2:23
  Preparing your heart daily through prayer, worship,
• 2:25
  scripture, quiet surrender keeps your confidence anchored.

  It shifts your mindset from I hope this works out to I trust
• 2:33
  the one who holds it all together.

  Life will test what you lean on. So ask yourself honestly,
• 2:38
  where's my confidence in what I have or in who God is?

  Because real security isn't found in temporary things, It's
• 2:47
  found in the unchanging God who has wisdom, power, and
• 2:50
  understanding beyond anything you can imagine.

  Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank You for
• 2:56
  being my steady foundation. When everything else feels
• 2:59
  uncertain, search my heart and show me where I've placed my
• 3:02
  confidence in things that can't last.
• 3:05
  Help me prepare my heart daily and stretch my hands toward You.
• 3:09
  Teach me to trust Your wisdom more than my own understanding
• 3:13
  and to stand firm in You no matter what shakes around me.

  In Jesus name, Amen. What if the most important

  question in your life deserves more than a shallow answer?

  you are the people, and wisdom will die with you.

  But I have understanding as well as you.

  I am not inferior to you. Yes, who doesn't know such
• 6:43
  things as these? I am like one who is a joke to
• 6:45
  his neighbor. I who called on God and he
• 6:48
  answered the just. The blameless man is a joke in
• 6:52
  the thought of him who is at ease.
• 6:53
  There is contempt for misfortune.
• 6:55
  It is ready for them whose foot slips.
• 6:58
  The tense of robbers prosper. Those who provoke God are
• 7:01
  secure, who carry their God in their hands.

  But ask the animals now, and they will teach you the birds of
• 7:07
  the sky, and they will tell you or speak to the earth, and it
• 7:10
  will teach you. The fish of the sea will declare
• 7:12
  to you. Who doesn't know that in all
• 7:14
  these Yahweh's hand has done this?
• 7:16
  In whose hand is the life of every living thing and the
• 7:19
  breath of all mankind? Doesn't the ear try words even
• 7:23
  as the palate tastes its food? With aged men is wisdom.

  In length of days understanding with God is wisdom and might.
• 7:31
  He has counsel and understanding.
• 7:33
  Behold, he breaks down, and it can't be built again.
• 7:36
  He imprisons a man, and there can be no release.
• 7:39
  Behold, he withholds the waters, and they dry up again.
• 7:42
  He sends them out, and they overturn the earth.
• 7:44
  With him is strength and wisdom. The deceived and the deceiver
• 7:48
  are his. He leads counselors away
• 7:50
  stripped. He makes judges fools.
• 7:52
  He loosens the bond of kings. He binds their waist with a
• 7:55
  belt. He leads priests away stripped,
• 7:58
  and overthrows the mighty. He removes the speech of those
• 8:01
  who are trusted, and takes away the understanding of the elders.

  He pours contempt on Princess, and loosens the belt of the
• 8:08
  strong. He uncovers deep things out of
• 8:10
  darkness, and brings out to light the shadow of death.
• 8:13
  He increases the nations and he destroys them.
• 8:16
  He enlarges the nations and He leads them captive.
• 8:20
  He takes away understanding from the chiefs of the people of the
• 8:22
  earth and causes them to wander in a wilderness where there is
• 8:25
  no way they grope in the dark without light.
• 8:29
  He makes them stagger like a drunken man.
• 8:32
