- 1:59I was about to say something else, but I'm being serious.
- 2:03She's been waiting. We are now talking to Scout U
- 2:05National College scout Mackenzie Shazell.
- 2:10Mackenzie, what's up? Hey guys, thanks for having me.
- 2:12I'm super excited to chat with you all and and excited to
- 2:16connect. I love doing things like this
- 2:18and I got to up my energy. I guess everyone's got got a
- 2:22great personality going on here, but I'm excited to be here.
- 2:25So thanks for having. Me.
- 2:26Well, if you actually knew stooped off, you would have the
- 2:29perfect last name. I mean shizzle my nizzle.
- 2:32I mean, that would be, I mean, you should hang out with the one
- 2:36and only Snoop Dogg. I, I mean, the first time I met
- 2:39Snoop Dogg, he was DJ ING on a stage in Tampa as he was there
- 2:43at the Super Bowl. He was guest DJ ING and, and
- 2:46showing his little, you know, his toast of, you know, Speedy's
- 2:50little cucumber weed. But nevertheless, he was smoking
- 2:54something. It looked like a cucumber by the
- 2:56way. It was his thick as a cucumber
- 2:58or somebody else. Or sausage, as PD would say.
- 3:01But Mackenzie? That's Kenny's department.
- 3:03That's true. That's Kenny.
- 3:04Well, Kenny's department is, you know, doing something else.
- 3:06Anyways, Mackenzie, obviously we wanted to get into a little
- 3:11college sports for women and women's sports is growing, not
- 3:15only in college basketball, but lacrosse and all the track and
- 3:19field. Some of the best runners, some
- 3:20of the fastest track and field runners we've seen come out for
- 3:24the United States over the last, I would say, 20 years.
- 3:28It's been sensational. And now you have the nil deals
- 3:31which. Is hey, hey, hold on.
- 3:32Don't forget volleyball. And I'm sorry.
- 3:34And volleyball, yes. We set, we set a woman's record
- 3:38for the most fans ever had a. Volleyball, I'm sorry, I'm
- 3:40sorry, Jabba. We had to give the volleyball.
- 3:43Nebraska volleyball as Jabba over there is, you know, he's a
- 3:47huge supporter of those women smacking that ball over the net
- 3:51as well as Pedias. But nevertheless, Mackenzie,
- 3:55tell us a little bit about how womens''s college sports has
- 3:59changed since the NIL deal has come into repetition.
- 4:03Yeah, it's a huge topic obviously in the last couple of
- 4:07years and and since it's opened doors to revenue sharing,
- 4:12financial gain, endorsement, sponsorships, all of that kind
- 4:16of stuff with this new age era of social media, it's just blown
- 4:20up. And if you want to gain traction
- 4:24with NIL and endorsements in your sponsorships, there's
- 4:27really no limit to really where it can take you.
- 4:31And obviously on those high profile teams like Nebraska
- 4:34volleyball and LSU basketball and and teams like that UNC
- 4:38soccer, all eyes are on those sports because those are the the
- 4:41biggest names in those college sports for women.
- 4:46And it's just it's trickled down.
- 4:49The trickle down effect is massive.
- 4:50Young girls are watching young boys have idols of Caitlin Clark
- 4:54like it's it's really cool to see this movement is is a
- 4:56phenomenal and NIL has just changed the game entirely really
- 5:01for women's and men's college sports.
- 5:04So how does that affect what you do with your scouting, your
- 5:07scouting company and the NIL, like the process of it going
- 5:11into it in comparison to some of the past methods we've seen
- 5:14college teams when it comes to recruiting?
- 5:17Yeah. So it's a tricky area to
- 5:21navigate, especially in the position that I'm in, obviously
- 5:24for legality, but just making sure that potential recruits
- 5:28actually understand what NIL is and how it's going to affect you
- 5:34based on what level you play. Obviously Division One athletes
- 5:38are going to benefit the most from NIL, depending on the
- 5:42schools that they go to, the financial backing of those
- 5:46institutions as well, and what kind of support they have from
- 5:48their donors and boosters. Obviously your D2D3 athletes
- 5:53probably aren't going to see that much gain from NIL,
- 5:56unfortunately, and large percentage of high school
- 6:00athletes or transfer students are going to fall into that
- 6:03category of D2D3. It's the elite of the elite that
- 6:06are going to play D1 and really benefit from those NIL deals and
- 6:11endorsements. So it's kind of first a reality
- 6:14check to see if these kids and their families have a good
- 6:18understanding, and then from there kind of figure out the
- 6:21best way to navigate that scenario.
- 6:24Yeah, Mackenzie and my my son's a freshman in college playing
- 6:27sports. So I, I've tried to better
- 6:29educate myself on, on it as well, because it's obviously new
- 6:33in, in so many different dynamics.
- 6:35But how do you feel like from the recruiting side?
- 6:38Do you feel like it's impacted it in a positive or negative
- 6:41way? And do you think there should be
- 6:44a cap? Or how could you facilitate it
- 6:46to maybe be better where you have all these other schools,
- 6:49right, that can, hey, you're going to get X amount and then
- 6:51other schools now from the recruiting process.
- 6:54Now you've got to let them know that.
- 6:55Like do you feel like it's affected it and there should
- 6:58there be a cap or no? Yeah, that's a great question.
- 7:01I I'm probably a small minority of thinking that there should be
- 7:09a cap. I think there needs to be some
- 7:10more structure to it. OK, sweet.
- 7:15I think it's kind of gone all like free Willy nilly a little
- 7:19bit and there's no structure and it changes constantly.
- 7:22Like with this recent and NIL, sorry, NCAA settlement, the
- 7:28judge keeps implementing different revisions and
- 7:31requiring these by the attorneys that are representing, but it
- 7:34keeps getting pushed and pushed and pushed and everything's
- 7:36changing and there's no clarity. So how are these attorneys
- 7:40supposed to navigate this settlement?
- 7:42How is that supposed to trickle down to compliance officers at
- 7:45schools and then relayed on to their student athletes?
- 7:48There's really no clear cut direction of what's actually
- 7:51happening. And the more you keep it wide
- 7:54open for earning potential, revenue sharing, all of that
- 7:58kind of stuff, it just takes away from the the what college
- 8:03sports is about. Like you're there 1 to get an
- 8:05education to, to represent and play at the highest level that
- 8:09you possibly can. That's realistic for you and be
- 8:14part of something that a lot of people don't ever get to do in
- 8:17their entire lives, don't even get to dream of it.
- 8:20And I think that's taken away from what college sports really
- 8:23is all about. So I think the cap would be
- 8:27unnecessary, you know, path or direction to go to.
- 8:32That makes sense to me now. Nothing in the NCAA has made
- 8:36sense recently to me. So I guess we'll be waiting for
- 8:38a while. We are talking to scout, you
- 8:41National College scout, McKenzie Shizzle.
- 8:44You know, McKenzie, we see some of these college players and
- 8:47what they're making right now, they're making a ton of money.
- 8:50We just saw Arch Manning just get like what, a five and a
- 8:52half, $6 million contract from Red Bull?
- 8:55So he's making a ton of of money.
- 8:56There are other guys that are making close to that kind of
- 8:59money over the last couple of years.
- 9:01We we know a quarterback that was just drafted out of this
- 9:05class in the fifth round that was making a lot of money in
- 9:08college and not making any money with his his new signing bonus
- 9:11because it's not very good because he was a fifth round
- 9:13draft pick. If you were a college player
- 9:15right now and you're making that kind of money, why would you go
- 9:18and play professional sports? Because now you see the
- 9:23opportunity to become even more of a superstar, bring in more
- 9:26money for your family, playing college ball for four years,
- 9:30maybe a fifth year, depending on the sport that you're playing
- 9:32in, and make that kind of money before you even step on a girl,
- 9:36a basketball court or ice hockey rink or, you know, a football
- 9:40field. So what are your thoughts to
- 9:42that? Why is it that anybody should
- 9:44think about going to play, you know, professional sports with
- 9:47the amount of money you can make right now with the NIL deal?
- 9:50It doesn't even make sense. What's the point of playing at
- 9:53that professional level when you're making way more as a
- 9:56college kid than you would as a professional athlete in their
- 10:01career? It's, it's getting a little bit
- 10:03out of hand on the men's and women's side.
- 10:06And depending on sports, obviously you're going to get
- 10:07bigger signing bonuses than others.
- 10:09Your salary caps are going to be different, things like that.
- 10:12But there's there's women's soccer players at the highest
- 10:15level in college athletics that are making more than I will
- 10:19probably ever make in my lifetime.
- 10:22And they go to the NWSL, the National Women's Soccer League
- 10:26and they're their entry cap is $30,000.
- 10:31What's what's significant about that?
- 10:33And it, and it should be that you have made it to that
- 10:36professional level and you get to play professional sports for
- 10:40your career and work towards something bigger and the
- 10:43longevity of your career. But that's kind of been
- 10:45diminished by what is possibly available in college sports.
- 10:51And then there's that disappointment factor when you
- 10:54are maybe a Division One athlete that isn't making $4 million a
- 10:59year that your Benchmade is making or whatever.
- 11:02Like it just kind of takes away from the excitement and the fun
- 11:06and the grind of college sports to get to that next level and
- 11:09really work hard for it. It's kind of like, well, I
- 11:12could, but I just made $1,000,000 this week, so why
- 11:17would I? And it's just kind of taken away
- 11:19from it, in my opinion. USA soccer for women has been
- 11:23explosive. They're the best in the world.
- 11:26And you have the men that are making more money than the women
- 11:29over the years. And now all of a sudden, the
- 11:31women have fought over and over and over again, and now they're
- 11:35getting what they want. They're making just as much as
- 11:37the men. And it took them forever to get.
- 11:39Why is it that women don't get the respect that they deserve in
- 11:44those kind of rankings? Because right now, the United
- 11:46States soccer team is the best in the world, and the United
- 11:49States men's football team is probably 11th, 12th, barely top
- 11:5420 probably. I don't even know where they
- 11:56are, where they're ranked. Why are they making more money
- 11:59over the years? More than the women, and they're
- 12:00better than they are. Yeah, yeah, that's a such a
- 12:05controversial topic too. And I'm a very fact, black and
- 12:08white kind of kind of person. Fact is more people watch men's
- 12:13sports, you know, the MLS compared to the NWSL, There's
- 12:19more, there's more viewership. You know, MLB compared to we
- 12:24don't even have a real professional softball league in
- 12:27that's, you know, it's that scale WNBANBA like the
- 12:33viewership numbers alone. That's fact.
- 12:36There's more people watching men's sports now.
- 12:38Should that equate to the success of either side and what
- 12:44kind of earning potential they're going to make?
- 12:47No, but that's kind of the day and age that we're in with brand
- 12:50deals, you know, TV partnerships, that kind of
- 12:54stuff. And it's unfortunate that it's
- 12:56taken up until now for people to be like, oh, women can be good
- 13:00at sports and they can play at that next level and they can do
- 13:03these big things, which is so cool to see.
- 13:06But it's just taking a long time and it's maybe lack of
- 13:11resources, lack of support, lack of voice, lack of outreach,
- 13:14things like that. But people like Caitlin Clark,
- 13:18Carly Lloyd, you know, those names in female sports have
- 13:22really paved a huge pathway to open those doors.
- 13:25Even in Canada. I'm, I'm Canadian, I'm from
- 13:28Canada. We just had our we inaugural
- 13:32professional women's Soccer League, the Northern Super
- 13:34League. And there's probably 0% of
- 13:36people listening to this that have any idea what I'm talking
- 13:39about. But a few years ago they
- 13:43incorporated a men's professionally as well.
- 13:45And now the Canadian women's senior national players have
- 13:50kind of opened their eyes and and their mouths and been like,
- 13:52we need a path to for little girls that are 4567 years old to
- 13:58see that there is a dream for them to chase in Canada.
- 14:00They don't have to go to the US, They don't have to go overseas.
- 14:03And that's also true for American born players too.
- 14:07A lot of women's athletes have to go over to Europe to play
- 14:10professional basketball or professional soccer or whatever
- 14:13it is. So I don't know.
- 14:15It's it's a weird, it's a weird topic and I don't understand why
- 14:20it hasn't equated to something a little bit more on equal playing
- 14:23field. But in my brain, the way I think
- 14:26fact is fact. And more people have been
- 14:30historically watching professional men's sports.
- 14:33But I just want to let you know something, when two years ago,
- 14:35when Caitlin Clark was in the Final Four, there were more
- 14:38people watching the Final Four for women than they were with
- 14:41the men. And why?
- 14:43Because Caitlin Clark became a household name.
- 14:45And if more women become what Caitlin Clark has really
- 14:49transitioned into as a superstar, I think it'll change
- 14:53everything for women's sports and it'll open up the floodgate
- 14:56for more money, more deals, and then obviously billion dollar
- 15:00opportunities for these women not to go overseas into
- 15:03different countries to to support their families and their
- 15:06kids. They could stay home and make
- 15:08their money through endorsements for cars or even sausages for
- 15:11Speedy. Yeah, no, Mackenzie, I've seen
- 15:15the swing. Obviously us being a volleyball
- 15:17state and seeing the growth of volleyball here and now them
- 15:22finally getting a professional league and, and obviously some
- 15:25of the girls staying around here playing for the supernovas and,
- 15:28and seeing the, the traction that that's getting.
- 15:30But I, I wanted to bring up something that you brought up
- 15:32earlier and you talk about the, the cap, which IA 100% agree
- 15:36with. And, and we talk about, OK,
- 15:39you're making this, but I'm just the biggest part of winning as
- 15:43you are, you just may play a sexier position.
- 15:46Do you think that creates some animosity and and how that has
- 15:50played into probably the transfer portal too in, in all
- 15:53sports where you see, it's like now I could go over here and
- 15:57make more money than I'm making here, but I'm winning.
- 16:01Do you think that creates animosity between the athletes
- 16:03at itself? Because I, I mean, I was
- 16:06getting, you know, free meals in college, but it wasn't legal,
- 16:09obviously, but everybody did it. And so, but I, I loved your
- 16:13point on you wanted to work your butt off to be that first round
- 16:17pick to get to that next level. Not like, well, you know, what,
- 16:20if I stay another year, I'm still going to make another like
- 16:232,000,000 bucks. Or even if it's six figures,
- 16:26you're still making more than 90% of the population in the US.
- 16:29And so there's that part of it too, where I think you you hit
- 16:33the nail on the head where it's taking away of what part of
- 16:36college sports is to try to get to the next level.
- 16:39And, you know, I think there needs to be something done.
- 16:41But do you think that does create animosity a little bit in
- 16:44in a locker room or clubhouse? I totally think it does.
- 16:47Even before the topic of NIL even came about, I was AI, was a
- 16:52college soccer coach, and the transfer portal in itself
- 16:55already created animosity. Even just JUCO transfers,
- 16:58bringing in somebody who has already established the
- 17:00reputation elsewhere to come compete on your team and
- 17:04potentially take your spot, that's going to create a little
- 17:06bit of animosity already. But then when you talk about
- 17:09their brand that's bigger than yours probably in a locker room
- 17:15and your coach in that school is also relying on that player's
- 17:20brand to build what they are, There's going to be, there has
- 17:24to be. And there's no way that it'll
- 17:27never be just sunshine and rainbows all the time.
- 17:32And then when you think about playing time and competing for
- 17:35time on the on the field, the court, whatever it is, it
- 17:39creates a lot of confusion and, and negative competition in, in
- 17:44my opinion. And I think that's what a lot of
- 17:48schools are looking for now with especially athletes being
- 17:52represented by agents. You can have clear communication
- 17:56with agents instead of the athlete if they're not in the
- 17:59transfer portal yet, which is, you know, what happens at the
- 18:03professional level of sports too.
- 18:05You know, managers talk to agents and then communicate
- 18:07through that. That's what's happening at
- 18:09college athletics now. And it's, it's just trying to
- 18:12get the the best or the biggest brand all at one spot.
- 18:16And there's going to it's going to run out of spots eventually.
- 18:20The earning potential can't be equal or even remotely equal for
- 18:25an entire team. If you think about a football
- 18:27roster, those bigger sports, and it's going to get messy.
- 18:31And there's there's going to be a continuous lawsuits and
- 18:34there's going to be more settlements and there's going to
- 18:36be yada, yada, yada. But where's just, you know,
- 18:39turning on the TV and watching Michigan, Michigan State game
- 18:43like that? Like what?
- 18:45It's just sports. Like it should just be college
- 18:47sports, but now it's just become a professional level college
- 18:50sports. Well, and yeah, that's too
- 18:51Remember, like back when we played, if you got an agent that
- 18:54lost your amateur status immediately.
- 18:56Yeah. And now it's like, I'm, I'm
- 18:58talking to him like out of high school, going into college, like
- 19:03preparing myself. And it it was the reason Nick
- 19:06Saban ended up retiring, because they would always have the
- 19:09families over and. Tell them, crybaby.
- 19:11You know, we're teaching. You and then he's going to
- 19:12Congress. Try to petition him.
- 19:14Crybaby Nick Saban and I and he's just mentioning his name.
- 19:18Makes me sick to my stomach. Please.
- 19:20But he's he's 100% right that they were having parents is
- 19:23like, well, how much are you going to pay my son instead of
- 19:26how are you going to better my son?
- 19:27But Jabba, that's been going around all the time that that
- 19:30wasn't during Nick Saban's reign.
- 19:33It's been going around for years.
- 19:34That was a first round draft. Person I'm just saying what is
- 19:37he bitching and moaning? He was making 10 million a year.
- 19:41Why is he complaining? I understand.
- 19:42But my coaches also too held us accountable.
- 19:45We had to do community service. We had to sit in the first two
- 19:48rows. We never wore a hat in class.
- 19:50We had to be accountable for everything that we did.
- 19:52Now it's like, oh, well, if we don't give him this much money,
- 19:57he's going to be like, peace. I'm they're not held accountable
- 19:59anymore. And that's that's the part of
- 20:01what Mackenzie was saying and why it's taken away is because
- 20:04we're trying to build young men and women.
- 20:06Because what are you going to do in the real world, right?
- 20:08Oh, I don't like my job. I'm going to go find another
- 20:10one. No, Work your ass off.
- 20:12Work harder and get to where? Jabba, that was then and this is
- 20:14now with it's a different age now and these.
- 20:17Kids, the point we're trying to. Sell.
- 20:18I got it. I understand what you're saying.
- 20:20It's just not going to happen that way.
- 20:22It's changing. The world's changing and these
- 20:24kids think they own everything and they do own everything.
- 20:27Because as far as sports is concerned, it's not about
- 20:30playing for a team. It's I, me.
- 20:32It's all about me. How much I can make how much we
- 20:37can make because of me. So LeBron James has done it for
- 20:41years and Michael Jordan opened up the floodgates for it and
- 20:44Michael Jordan was the Ultimate Team player because he always
- 20:47wanted to be out there and play. Now you have LeBron James, Mr.
- 20:50Bitch himself, who I want to play for 10 games because I
- 20:53don't want to get hurt. I want to be ready for the
- 20:55playoffs. You know that's that's LeBron
- 20:58James because it's all about money and these kids understand
- 21:02that the world revolves around money.
- 21:04So the first thing when I go to, to these kids and, and
- 21:07Mackenzie, you know this, the first thing parents are saying
- 21:09is what are you going to give my kids?
- 21:11What kind of what kind of scholarship are you going to
- 21:13give my kids? And then after that, OK, the NIL
- 21:15deal, all right, there's, there's about two and a half,
- 21:18$1,000,000 on a table. Well, guess what if I go over
- 21:21here to, I don't know Oklahoma, I could get a deal right now
- 21:25with Coca-Cola and they'll give me 3 and a half million dollars
- 21:28if I go sign over there in Oklahoma.
- 21:31It, this is the way though, that it works now it, it doesn't
- 21:34matter anymore. Oh well, it's all about the
- 21:36kids. We got to get the kids to
- 21:38understand how to make money and this is, you know, we got to be
- 21:41fair here. This these kids don't care
- 21:43anymore. They don't care anymore where
- 21:45the money is going. All they care about is as long
- 21:48as it's going into their stomachs and their families
- 21:50pockets, that's all they care about.
- 21:52They don't care about the sports.
- 21:54It's not about the sport anymore.
- 21:55It's about how much money you can pay me to play the sport
- 21:59that my parents raise me to play.
- 22:02That's the way the world works now, I think.
- 22:04Every kid thinks like that. Every parent doesn't think like.
- 22:07That I'm going to tell you this job.
- 22:09I have one in college. I got it job.
- 22:11And you raised your kid good. You raised your kid good.
- 22:14Because I was over there. My nephew was 12 years old.
- 22:17And I'm sitting down right now with your parents, their parents
- 22:20and watching them play ball. And I got a father over there in
- 22:22the corner telling me, oh, my son's the best hitter on his
- 22:25travel team. He's the best hitter here.
- 22:28My son's getting full scholarships.
- 22:30He's 12 years old. And I'm sitting there like,
- 22:32dude, your son's playing in a 12.
- 22:34You know, what is this peewee baseball?
- 22:36Are you kidding me? And this guy's going to get all
- 22:39these scouts get out of here, go, go fly Kita somewhere and,
- 22:42and, and hope that there's money going to pour out of the, you
- 22:44know, out of the sky. I mean, seriously, it's, it's
- 22:47ridiculous. And that's the problem with
- 22:49parents now. They're not, they're not
- 22:51teaching them the sport because they want to learn how to play
- 22:53the sport and teach them competitiveness, competitiveness
- 22:57and teamwork. They're teaching their kid.
- 22:59OK, son, if you got a God-given talent, I'm going to help you
- 23:03get there. And in return, you're going to
- 23:05make sure that me and mommy don't have to work ever again.
- 23:09When you get into the professional level, that's the
- 23:11way it goes. Now they don't care about if
- 23:14their kids are going to school. You have video games now that
- 23:17they're making millions and millions of dollars.
- 23:21Eligibility for that? There's a 17 year old right now
- 23:25making seven and a half million dollars sitting out of home and
- 23:28playing video games. I, I don't even remember what
- 23:31his, his, his video game name is.
- 23:33I forget what it's called Fox love or whatever the hell he
- 23:35calls himself and people watch him play and, and sponsors pay
- 23:40him to do that. He doesn't have to go to school
- 23:42anymore. Mommy and daddy are bringing him
- 23:43coffee. Mommy and daddy are buying him
- 23:46crumpets and bringing him pizza and he can get fat on his fat
- 23:49ass as long as he can wiggle and twiggle on his freaking fingers.
- 23:52That's all they care about, putting money in their pockets.
- 23:56I'm sorry but it's new. Have have you noticed too like?
- 23:59I'm sorry guys, I had to say that.
- 24:01We've we've played with some guys and, and from the
- 24:04recruiting side where they're like now, because as you brought
- 24:08up social media and and how like there's so much more, I guess
- 24:12attention with, you know, all these camps and all the other
- 24:15stuff that they can see the social media side of it.
- 24:18Do you think too, now that they're talking to kids in
- 24:22middle school and it's like this is the number one ranked kid of
- 24:252031 and you're like, well, that's six years away and we had
- 24:30two kids here for baseball commit when they were in 8th
- 24:35grade. Have you?
- 24:38Do you think they're attacking more in like early?
- 24:42I think so. I'm in a small town, Quincy, IL,
- 24:46about 45,000 people or so. A lot of kids here travel to
- 24:51Saint Louis to play their travel sports.
- 24:53About two hours there is 2028. So she is a freshman going into
- 25:00her sophomore year. She has been offered by the
- 25:03entire Big 10, the entire SEC half of the Big 12 for
- 25:09basketball. And it's like the like these
- 25:13kids are kids. Like you asked me when I was 14
- 25:16what I wanted to do when I grew up.
- 25:18No idea. Asked me when I was a freshman
- 25:19in college, I still had no idea. But these, these kids are kids
- 25:23and the point of playing youth sports sure is to move on to
- 25:28play at the next level, but you need to enjoy it at some point.
- 25:31And now it's getting earlier and earlier and earlier with
- 25:34recruiting. But even just with travel sports
- 25:36in general, there's, there's 8 year olds in travel sports
- 25:40traveling 456 hours away to play in showcases and tournaments.
- 25:44And like, what good is that doing?
- 25:46Like just play your team sport, get better at it, learn, figure
- 25:50it out from there. But now it's just the
- 25:51competition factor and it's so pressurized from things like
- 25:55social media, TV, all that kind of stuff has to be earlier.
- 25:59You have to get on it now you have to do this, you have to do
- 26:01that, which is realistic if you are perspected to be the elite
- 26:06of the elite, the 1%. Now this kid in Quincy, she's
- 26:10like 6-4 and 1314 years old. Of course she's going to grab
- 26:16attention. But that is not your average
- 26:18freshman high school athlete, especially a girl.
- 26:21So it's it's pressure, it's pressure cooking, it's exploding
- 26:25on social media and it has happened a lot earlier.
- 26:27I have a lot of families that reach out to me about their 8th
- 26:29graders, their 9th graders. And truly, to me, unless you
- 26:34know that you are going to play at the highest level possible,
- 26:37that Division 1P4 level, take your time.
- 26:41Figure out what college is all about, what your sport is all
- 26:44about, what your role is, where you can best fit in and be
- 26:47successful for yourself. Playing time in the classroom,
- 26:51making friends, having a good experience instead of the bright
- 26:55shiny lights that everything is now kind of all about.
- 26:58And just so you know, and we know Preston Carey, who's a
- 27:01young kid, he was 14 years old when he was being recruited.
- 27:04He's been accrued recruited by 30 different college Division
- 27:08One teams. He's gotten full scholarship
- 27:10offers, all the SEC teams, all the Big 12, whatever, right?
- 27:15PAC 12, right? It's not anymore.
- 27:17It's Big 12 or Big. Ted Big 12 for big Ted, all of
- 27:20them have offered him, offer him full rides and the kid is, is
- 27:24unbelievable. So I'm just saying, I, I just
- 27:27think that right now these kids are getting offered so much
- 27:30money and so many opportunities, opportunities before they even
- 27:32get a chance to play high school senior ball.
- 27:35And they already know where they're going.
- 27:37Preston's making an announcement this June on where he's going to
- 27:40play college next year. I mean, not this year, next
- 27:45year. And he's not even a senior.
- 27:46So it's crazy what these kids. And he already knows by the time
- 27:51he goes, he's, I think he's a four-star recruit.
- 27:54He already knows that when he plays college ball, he's going
- 27:57to get an NIL deal from one or two sponsors right now from
- 28:01here, from Long Island that are going to give him a huge pay,
- 28:04you know, pay grade that he's never even imagined he's going
- 28:07to see because he's never worked a day in his life.
- 28:10His job was to get on a football field and play football.
- 28:13Mackenzie It's just it's crazy, but Kenzie, we we absolutely
- 28:20adore you. We love everything that you're
- 28:22doing right now for scout you and keep up the good work.
- 28:26Tell the fans how they can find you and any of the girls, any of
- 28:30the parents that are looking for some help in that area of
- 28:35expertise, how they can find you.
- 28:37Yeah, absolutely. I'm on Twitter.
- 28:39Mac under score shizzle. I'm on Instagram.
- 28:42Mackenzie, under score scout you same as TikTok.
- 28:45I'm posting daily reels and TikTok videos with tips,
- 28:49insights, settlement updates that never end, all of that kind
- 28:53of stuff. My DMS are open, my e-mail is
- 28:55available, and I love having conversations with everybody
- 28:59about sports, recruiting, all that kind of stuff.
- 29:01I was once in somebody's shoes that are watching this.
- 29:05I was a young athlete wanting to play at the next level and I got
- 29:09to do that. I played at the Division One
- 29:10level, coach at the division two level.
- 29:13I have a lot of insight and knowledge to share, so super
- 29:15excited to chat with anybody who wants to and I'm really, really
- 29:19appreciative to have chatted with you guys tonight.
- 29:22This was awesome and I'm really grateful for the opportunity.
- 29:25Absolutely, and if you have anything to help Nathan grow a
- 29:28little bit because he's like 5 foot 65 foot 5, whatever you
- 29:32need to sprinkle like fairy dust to help him grow, you know,
- 29:35shoot out of that pants of his. Please, McKenzie, help him out.
- 29:39He really needs your. Help.
- 29:40All right, McKenzie, Which? Sport when Nathan gets a
- 29:41scholarship for. I know, but I'm not.
- 29:43I'm not 5 foot 55 foot six. I'm 510 1/2.
- 29:48I'm not small. A lot of hot ladies.
- 29:49As Nathan always says, a lot of hot lady.
- 29:52Mackenzie What sport do you think Nathan would have a best
- 29:54chance at? An athletic scholarship?
- 29:55Badminton. E Sports.
- 30:00Hey, you don't have to be tall. No, that's true.
- 30:02I mean, I don't know if Nathan has the comfortability.
- 30:05I mean, he likes to do this to women.
- 30:08I'm sorry I have to let you hear this all done here.
- 30:10It is a lot of hot ladies that's.
- 30:11Not the one. Where is this?
- 30:12They call me the ladies man and Mr. Still your girl.
- 30:15Oh, there it is, this one. I'm putting you on a leash now.
- 30:17He's putting you on a leash now. So that's what he's known for.
- 30:20He's all about the leashes. But anyways, Mackenzie, we love
- 30:23you. Keep up the good work.
- 30:25We would definitely love to get you on the show in the very near
- 30:29future. And so talk a little bit more
- 30:30about college sports and, and maybe get some of these young
- 30:32girls that are right now here in New York or Nebraska on the show
- 30:36with you so they can or Canada and, and, and have your insight
- 30:41of where you think they should go and the route they should go
- 30:44in the future. Absolutely, absolutely.
- 30:47Thanks so much, guys. I really appreciate it.
- 30:48Thank you. Thank.
- 30:49You. Thank you very much, Mackenzie.
- 30:51Shizzle. I love that name, by the way.
- 30:52Shizzle, my nizzle, as we all say.
- 30:55Well, Snoop Dogg always says, and I'm telling you, if you want
- 30:59to remember somebody's name, Shizzle.
- 31:01I mean, that's it. I mean, marks.
- 31:03I mean, skid marks. Everybody remembers that.
- 31:06I mean, and Speedy, you know, what's your last name?
- 31:08Kloiber. Kloiber.
- 31:09Yeah. That's not an easy name to think
- 31:11about. I mean, maybe a Kloi fish.
- 31:13How about that? And then Nathan, how do you
- 31:15pronounce now? It's Nathan's last name, Speedy.
- 31:18I'm a chundra. That's a mouthful, if you know
- 31:22what I mean. Anyways, I'm sorry.
- 31:27Oh, Mackenzie Shizzle. That's a mouthful.
- 31:31You know, it's funny. I'm a little lost sometimes.
- 31:34And and right now maybe watching this Knicks team, it's making me
- 31:37lost. But the name Shizzle is perfect.
- 31:41And I I the first thing when I, when I show her first name
- 31:45shizzle, the first thing that popped into my head is Snoop
- 31:48Dogg shizzle my nizzle. He always says that or, or walk
- 31:52like Frazier. He says like I oh, Shizzy my
- 31:56Nizzy, right? Or whatever he says.
- 31:57Anyways, ladies and gentlemen, we call this sound it out.
- 32:01Take a roll here Jay Quellen. Where's Jay Quellen at?
- 32:04No Jay Quellen here. Do you mean Jacqueline?
- 32:06Let's sound it out what you call me.
- 32:09Sound it out. By the way, I see Fish's faces
- 32:13like, you know, he's about to have a heart attack with the
- 32:16Knicks. Don't worry, Fish.
- 32:18It's not the fourth quarter yet, so.
- 32:21No, I, I honestly, I was more like, I can't believe you're
- 32:25saying this stuff to miss Miss Shizzle here.
- 32:29We'll try with. Nithin revealing Nithin's true
- 32:31nature. I mean, come on man, as.
- 32:33A lot of hot ladies. I mean, come on.
- 32:36I mean, come on, Nithin. I'm putting you on a leash now.
- 32:39Funny. All right, so this is sounded
- 32:44out guys. Sounded out is one of these
- 32:47great segments we do. Where speedy?
- 32:49'S mom. Nope, that was incorrect A.
- 32:53Famous. Athlete he knows.
- 32:56Speed's mom pretty well. Who doesn't as well as?
- 33:00Nathan is insinuating in his drop.
- 33:02Jabba doesn't know her yet, but he might.
- 33:04That better than he'll be able to pronounce these names Errol I
- 33:07decided to go easy on you this time.
- 33:10We got the NBA going on, we're going NBA with our names for
- 33:14sounded out. But The thing is I wanted to go
- 33:17retired names. So I have some names that I
- 33:20think you should be able to pronounce, and I'm expecting two
- 33:25out of three tonight. All right, let's hear it.
- 33:28Because I believe in you. All right.
- 33:30All right, here we go. First one coming on up sounded
- 33:34out. Gauskas give me.
- 33:41The old thing. Oh my God, Zeidronis A Gauskas.
- 33:47No, I'm going to get half of that the.
- 33:54Drunus the drunus the drunus I'll Galski.
- 33:58I still get half of that. That should be fair.
- 34:00I get half of all right. We'll give you, we'll give you.
- 34:02Half a point, half a point. That's that's fair.
- 34:05I mean, come. On just like like you're 510 1/2
- 34:08we'll give. You I am 510 1/2.
- 34:10There's no question that I am. I actually went to the doctor
- 34:12today. I'm 6 1/2. 510 1/2, I'm actually
- 34:17a little bit bigger than 510 1/2, but I say 510 1/2 because
- 34:21that's what I got. Like 3/8.
- 34:23Yeah, whatever. I forget what the doctor told me
- 34:26today. I actually went to a doctor, I
- 34:29went to a foot doctor, got weighed and actually he wanted
- 34:32to see how tall I was because of my foot actually.
- 34:34And by the way, for all the fans out there, even if you're flat
- 34:38footed, you could be half flat footed and that's what I am.
- 34:40I didn't even know that. So half flat, half foot, you're
- 34:44not fully flat footed. Yes, I didn't know that so.
- 34:48I didn't know that either. I'm going to have to ask my
- 34:50podiatrist next time I go see them.
- 34:52Here's the second one. This guy I'm pretty sure is
- 34:55retired and I think he was on every team in the NBA, Errol
- 35:00sounded. Out.
- 35:03What in the hell? Luke, Richard.
- 35:08Mambaya Mota Mute. Luke Richard Mute.
- 35:18I was right. Speedy.
- 35:21What was it? At some point, was he on the
- 35:23Nets at some point? Yeah, I think so.
- 35:25Like you said, among. Others, I don't know why you
- 35:27thought I was going to get that. That's that's ridiculous.
- 35:30I mean, it's not a hard name. There's only like a four letter
- 35:33name mixed in with some other. All right, so.
- 35:35Here's You don't think that's a hard name.
- 35:37You know this guy, this guy that's coming up in our last one
- 35:40for sounded out. Errol is an NBA Hall of Famer.
- 35:43OK, let's hear. You know this.
- 35:46Guy you've. Impressed.
- 35:47Made impressions of this man all right, but have you ever tried
- 35:52to pronounce his entire name? Sounded ass.
- 35:58Yeah, right. It can be Mutombo.
- 36:04Hold on. Laplundo, Mukamba.
- 36:10John Jackas, Wamu Tambo. I mean, right.
- 36:22That's not fair. The saddest?
- 36:23Thing is, I think the only thing you got wrong was Jean Jacques.
- 36:28So I get so that I should get it all right there.
- 36:32That's a fair. I don't think it's Maplundo.
- 36:35Nobody cares. Throw out there, say that it's
- 36:39probably a silent end. I looked it up, there's no
- 36:43pronunciation. It's the Kembe Mutombo, that's
- 36:45it. What the hell you giving?
- 36:46Me Fun fact, he insisted in an All Star game that they put his
- 36:50entire name on the screen. Fun fact, it's I never, I would
- 36:54never do. That 90s All Star games of that
- 36:56name on the screen. Congratulations, Errol.
- 36:59You got, I don't know, a half a point.
- 37:01You got 3 eights of a point on this one.
- 37:03We'll give you, you know, we'll give you one out of three.
- 37:07Not bad. All Star, maybe a little below.
- 37:09That's still 300 hitter. Nice job.
- 37:11I'm sounded out. You are a pain in the ass that
- 37:14that is absolutely ridiculous. It makes me sick to my stomach
- 37:19and thank you for embarrassing me once again on this ridiculous
- 37:24show. I I honestly, that's ridiculous.
- 37:29You made it. You made it even harder.
- 37:32I don't care where these other four names are.
- 37:34I all I care about is the Kebbe Mutombo.
- 37:36OK? That's all I care about.
- 37:38You laugh. So actually it's his second
- 37:41name. It's Dekembi Mutombo, and then
- 37:43five other names. But really, apparently his
- 37:46name's Dekembi 1 Mutombo, and they shorten it to Mutombo.
- 37:51They don't use that second name. It's really just a nickname for
- 37:55his last name, Wamu Tumbo. I don't give a crap.
- 37:59How about that? You could take that and sell
- 38:01that and wrap it all up and shove it up.
- 38:03RIP, by the way. Right.
- 38:04There you go. That's right.
- 38:05May he rest in peace. Yes, He just passed away.
- 38:07Heart attack. Massive heart attack, right?
- 38:10I think it was a heart attack, right, Speedy?
- 38:12Was it a heart attack or cancer? It was one or the other.
- 38:14I thought it was some kind of cancer.
- 38:16I think it might have been cancer, I'm not quite sure, but
- 38:20cancer, cancer, brain cancer, That's right.
- 38:22The best voice of anyone, maybe ever, in history.
- 38:26He did have, he did have some dynamite, like little guest
- 38:30appearances on shows when he would talk.
- 38:32Jay Leno, Jay Leno. I loved it on Jay Leno when he
- 38:36went over there and Jay Leno would look up and he was like,
- 38:40you think I can climb you? Ladies and gentlemen, we do
- 38:44this. Gentlemen, as we do this every
- 38:47week, this is next segment is called What's that smell hold
- 38:51over, where are we talking about?
- 39:00Wow, you. Don't see that every.
- 39:01Day Goody. I tried to help you out.
- 39:03I was leading you into it. Yeah, you.
- 39:06Know I wasn't. I wasn't.
- 39:08And then you were talking about dirty asses in a locker room.
- 39:10I mean, have you ever smelled that for dirty Mexican ass?
- 39:14That was an. This is.
- 39:15Where my mind was going, I was I wanted to I wanted to bring it
- 39:18up. We're talking about assholes and
- 39:20how they stink. And I just want to let you know
- 39:22a South of the border. Let me ask you a question.
- 39:23You are right. Let me ask you a question.
- 39:25You played baseball with Jabo. Were you ever in the same locker
- 39:29room with Jabo when you were trying to smell his ass?
- 39:31All yes or no? No, I re he was there rehab in
- 39:37one one year who was the. Smelliest.
- 39:41Who was the smelliest player you played with with the Yankees?
- 39:45Come on, give us one. Who's the smelliest Yankee
- 39:49player after the game? Who who smell like crap?
- 39:52We're not going to dime out our teammates.
- 39:54Oh, come on, just give us a Yeah, that's it's it's.
- 39:57Just I just remember, hold on. I just remember Java wearing
- 40:00out. Wearing out.
- 40:02FUCK muke shirt and getting on the stairmaster of that.
- 40:07Hold on, hold on hold. On rubber ingrained in my
- 40:09memory. Wait a second, wait a second.
- 40:11So you're telling me right now that if I asked you if somebody
- 40:18had a stench to them after the game, you wouldn't tell it
- 40:21because you don't want to throw anybody?
- 40:22It's not throwing anybody under the bus.
- 40:25You're having a little fun. I.
- 40:27First off, I'm trying to as I'm telling this story, I'm trying
- 40:30to think of somebody who I got close enough, who's like, hey
- 40:33bro, let me smell your grundle. One of my boys wants me to let
- 40:37you know what. It's, you know, I heard some of
- 40:38that cheese. You know, I heard that actually
- 40:40smelt after the game. Juan Gonzalez, Remember Juan
- 40:43Gonzalez, he was a great Texas Ranger there.
- 40:47There's somebody I know that played in the major leagues that
- 40:50said that. He told me straight out, he
- 40:52said, Juan, when he after the games he would he would get off
- 40:55the field and he smelt like piss.
- 40:57And I said, what do you mean he smelt like piss?
- 40:59He says he sweated so much that whatever he ate before the
- 41:02games, it came right out of his paws and he stunk so and.
- 41:07I will. I'll throw my son under the bus
- 41:10after basketball games. He smelt awful.
- 41:15They didn't, they didn't shower after games.
- 41:17And he would, you know, he would play 35 minutes and then he'd be
- 41:21like, oh, I'm going to my girlfriend's house.
- 41:23And I literally would look at his girlfriend.
- 41:24I was like I would. Lick his girlfriend.
- 41:27Look, I thought he said. Really.
- 41:29Shower like that in school like they used to dude.
- 41:32I remember, like even in PE we would shower, yeah.
- 41:35That's tough, man. That's tough.
- 41:37I don't remember anybody that really stank that bad, man.
- 41:40I guess a lot of guys, a lot of guys spray Cologne on themselves
- 41:43before they go out and play, which I found a little weird.
- 41:46But then I started doing it and I was like, yeah, you know what?
- 41:48When you smell, you sweat, you smell good.
- 41:50I hate when I hate when people like drench themselves with that
- 41:54Axe, that Axe spray and they walk around.
- 41:56It's like, I'm not going to say what I call it, but.
- 42:01Are pay grades a little bit above Axe in the big league
- 42:04clubhouse there? Errol.
- 42:06Yeah, they had like they had some decent Cologne in the Aiki
- 42:09clubhouse. I would, I would say probably
- 42:11about 90 and I, I first learned about that.
- 42:15Like like different types of axes?
- 42:17No, it was like actual Cologne a lot and it and it started with
- 42:22all the Latin guys. Yes.
- 42:25I could see Juan Soto. I could see Juan Soto in his in
- 42:28his locker. He's got all these like $1000
- 42:31bottles of Cologne. He's spraying himself.
- 42:33Oh, this smells good. Hey, hey, Soto, give me a give
- 42:37me a taste of that. And then Lindor with his colored
- 42:39air, he's got all this colored smelly shampoo that smells like
- 42:43strawberry. Lindor always Lindor always
- 42:45smell good. His locker room, his locker was
- 42:48like couple of like 1, 2 down for mine.
- 42:50He had two lockers and he's always smelled good.
- 42:54I'm like, man. Where was where was your locker
- 42:56in Cleveland? To the left, I was like when you
- 43:01walked in, if you saw Frankie's was to the left and then it was
- 43:05he had two lockers and then it was Dan Otero.
- 43:10And then me. I was like, I was like right
- 43:12behind a wall. So like no media could ever
- 43:14really get to me. It was nice.
- 43:16Were you behind the perch? Probably, yeah.
- 43:19Like where you're looking straight at the like, but the
- 43:22the. I'm looking straight at the beer
- 43:24cooler. If you go look over the perch,
- 43:27there's a beer cooler. There's a fridge right there.
- 43:30Oh, see, I was on the backside. It was.
- 43:33No, no, no, no. I was on the left.
- 43:35Rammer, then Jeff Manship, then me and my I had my locker and
- 43:43then Carter had his locker and then Tomlin and then Ori.
- 43:47Oh, yeah, I know. I know where you were at.
- 43:49I know where you were at. I.
- 43:49Was on the back because I was old at that time, so I got to
- 43:52pick it. So I had like a put my feet on
- 43:54the wall. I had my iPad set up there so I
- 43:56what And nobody could see me. It was great.
- 43:58Yeah, yeah, I know exactly where you're at.
- 44:00You look this way. I was to the left.
- 44:01But anyways, my locker was great.
- 44:04My locker. My locker was another segment.
- 44:07My locker was in the, you know, the boy, the boys bathroom.
- 44:10I was right there in a stall. It's not surprising, the weirdo.
- 44:15It was my name's right on top. There's a shelf right by this
- 44:19doll from what we learned. I feel like Errol was the one
- 44:24that they told you to be careful of in the locker.
- 44:27Room, actually, I was actually the guy.
- 44:30I'm serious. I was the guy that the coach,
- 44:34you know, before hockey games, I was in the other, you know,
- 44:37there was the lockers and everything depending on where we
- 44:39were. I was in the other room getting
- 44:41dressed because I didn't want to deal with anybody's bull crap
- 44:43before the games. I didn't want to hear anybody
- 44:46and and the coach was always yelling at everybody.
- 44:48So I would be the one before I get on the ice.
- 44:52I was the one before I got on the ice where the coach was
- 44:55telling me you better play you. Better play it shower with the
- 44:58team either. No, I we know guys like you.
- 45:00Actually, no, I didn't. I didn't.
- 45:02I never shower. No guys like.
- 45:04You I never shower with the guys.
- 45:05No, no, throw my clothes and got that way.
- 45:08I feel like he's just like more like, you know, like as soon as
- 45:11he. Got Why am I going to shower
- 45:12with a bunch of guys? I'm not doing that.
- 45:15It's just not me. I'm not doing that stuff.
- 45:17It's just not me. I wasn't I wasn't into doing
- 45:20that. So I would go home and if if we
- 45:23were in a hotel or a motel, wherever we were staying, I
- 45:26would go home, which I jump on the bus, throw all my stuff and
- 45:29I go take a nice shower or bath, whatever the hell I was doing,
- 45:32you know. So why do I want to be in the
- 45:33shower? Listen to a bunch of guys talk
- 45:35about, you know their stories and and brusseling their.
- 45:38So you don't stay in the shower. I do.
- 45:41First of all, first of all, I take long showers.
- 45:43That's something that I like to do.
- 45:45I actually in my shower, I have like this like this shower, this
- 45:49shower seat and I actually let the water hit me and I just like
- 45:52to relax and listen to music, man.
- 45:54I don't want to be bothered by. People So, so you hear like
- 45:56everyone that was giving you crap about like being Jersey
- 46:00Shore, you are not Jersey Shore. No, no, Jersey Shore is not
- 46:03about that life. They're about that gym tan
- 46:06laundry. No, I don't do that.
- 46:07Dude I would shower at the field and then go back to the hotel
- 46:11and then take another one. No, I was gonna.
- 46:12Say shower before the shower. Because I need to smell good
- 46:16when I put my clothes on it. Dude, I do not need some guy
- 46:19looking. At me to wipe my ass.
- 46:21With my soap, OK, and, and use my towel, wiping my ass with it.
- 46:27I'm I'm I, I have no interest in having another guy look at me
- 46:30doing that. Sorry.
- 46:31I'd rather be by myself while I'm cleaning myself.
- 46:34All right, that's just my opinion, all right.
- 46:36And this is not anal aids, just me.
- 46:39It's I don't like it. I didn't even, I just wanted
- 46:41like if I was sweaty like I had to shout.
- 46:43No, I did too. I know I 100%.
- 46:46And usually, you know, when we were playing hockey, we were
- 46:48traveling, it wasn't that far. So obviously I would jump on the
- 46:52bus and sometimes obviously the the assistant coach would be on
- 46:56a bus and whoever wanted to get on the bus and get back to the
- 46:58hotel, he would take us there and then go back to pick up the
- 47:01team if they're taking. Showers.
- 47:02Nothing smells worse than hockey pads anyway, so it's horrible.
- 47:06It's. Horrible.
- 47:07And you want to know something? And here's a secret to any
- 47:09hockey player that doesn't that does this.
- 47:12Anybody that washes their hockey equipment after games, you're an
- 47:15idiot. It makes your it makes your
- 47:17equipment smell even worse. Never.
- 47:19Because it's still. Wet yes, never wash your
- 47:22equipment after a hockey game, that would be a big mistake.
- 47:26I made that mistake numerous amount of times and it smelt
- 47:29even worse so stay away from that.
- 47:32Any youngster out there listen? We had all the prongs and like,
- 47:36and crazy because Carter stopped playing when he was in 4th grade
- 47:39and it was amazing to me after like even practice or games or
- 47:43whatever, like how bad a kid could smell at that age.
- 47:47So we ended up just putting like a pegboard like in your garage
- 47:51and just like hanging his gloves, his breezers and all
- 47:53that stuff. And then like let him and you
- 47:56don't wash them. I mean, obviously I wash his,
- 47:58his socks and you know, his compressions or whatever.
- 48:01But I would wait and do that just the next day, just leave it
- 48:04all out there. But you'd walk out there the
- 48:06next morning and get ready to do laundry and you'd be like, how
- 48:09does it 3rd grader smelled as bad?
- 48:13It smells bad. And by the way, when I when I
- 48:16played for USA Hockey, there was this kid.
- 48:19I'm not going to mention a name because I don't want to.
- 48:20And he did play professional hockey.
- 48:22He didn't wash himself throughout the playoffs.
- 48:26I'm talking about after games, he fell asleep.
- 48:29He did not wash himself. He did not wash himself all the
- 48:33way through the playoffs, even when we went to the championship
- 48:35game and he swore upon it. And boy, oh, boy, he he smelt so
- 48:40bad. Dude, it's worse than any dirty,
- 48:44dirty, dirty sock. OK?
- 48:46It's it's it's it's so bad. I can't even tell you.
- 48:49It's like a yeast infection. That's how bad it is.
- 48:52OK, I don't know if anybody smelled the yeast infection, but
- 48:55it smells so. Wait, what does that smell like?
- 48:59I'm not going to. Let's let's just go.
- 49:01Come on, guys. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 49:03I don't want to talk about yeast infections.
- 49:05I'm going to get myself into trouble.
- 49:06Anybody doesn't know the the story or how to do this, It's
- 49:10very simple. All of us are going to give you
- 49:12a story when we're going to tell you how it smells.
- 49:15All right, ladies and gentlemen, I'm not going to go with Nathan
- 49:18because Nathan probably doesn't have a story.
- 49:21So we're going to go first. We're going to go, we're going
- 49:24to go fish first. We're going to go with poops
- 49:27second. We're going to go with Goodwood
- 49:30third, Speedy 4th, Jabba 5th, me 6th.
- 49:36All right, I'll start this off. I already kind of gave mine away
- 49:40and threw it in to dial it up but.
- 49:42I'm putting you on a leash now. But to get back to the the
- 49:46leashing of all, I'm just going to go take what happened tonight
- 49:50and the fact that OG and no be going for a loose ball.
- 49:54Jason Tatum dives for the ball and his ankle gives out and now
- 49:58the Knicks are up three one. It's over.
- 50:00Jason Tatum is most definitely not playing next game.
- 50:03He's done for the he's done for the rest of the playoffs.
- 50:06You know, I mean, we'll see how bad it was, but dude, at the
- 50:09back of that heel. I'll let you finish it.
- 50:11I'll tell you what I've been reading.
- 50:13So look, what is that like? Do you want to win that way?
- 50:17Not really. You want to beat them at their
- 50:19best. But will you take the win
- 50:21anyway? You absolutely will.
- 50:23And the Knicks look like they're heading to the Eastern
- 50:25Conference finals and probably going to face the Pacers.
- 50:29The way that it's looking right now in a rematch of this Emmys
- 50:32last year. What does that smell like?
- 50:35Tough shit for you, Boston. That's what it smells.
- 50:38Like, just so everybody knows what I've, what I've read is
- 50:41that his ankle locked. It is not an Achilles.
- 50:45His ankle locked. So they got to pop it back into
- 50:51place. So he is not playing for the
- 50:54rest of the playoffs. He might even need surgery.
- 50:56Yeah. Wait.
- 50:58So wait. His ankle locked his his joint
- 51:02of his ankle. Kurt Angle, you know, like, put
- 51:04him up like. It locked, so they gotta they
- 51:07gotta pop it back into place and he might even need certain.
- 51:12You know when you when you lock it and it has to lock back in,
- 51:15it hurts the joint. It's probably.
- 51:17Yes or something. Yes, he might be able like.
- 51:20He's not playing anymore. He's been tough and played
- 51:22through. Things he's not doing that I'm
- 51:24telling you, you will not. You will not see Jason Tatum for
- 51:27the rest of this series and if they go on to the next.
- 51:30I immediately think of the Curt Schilling foot game, you know,
- 51:33the sock bloody sock game when you think of guys like that
- 51:37doing something. He had a crazy procedure that
- 51:39was temporary, that everyone knew that was it wasn't going to
- 51:42hold and still played on it. That was amazing.
- 51:44Tatum's not doing that for a semi finals, that was he.
- 51:47I've blown my ankle out where I was seeing bones and you know,
- 51:52they popped it back in and sewed it back up and did all that.
- 51:55But if it is, they said he's not getting an MRI till tomorrow so
- 51:59I guess it's speculation until then.
- 52:03What I've read is they said his his ankle, his ankle locked.
- 52:08And if you see him getting pulled off, if you watch it, you
- 52:11see how his leg, if you're looking at his foot, I'm
- 52:13watching it right now, it's tilted up.
- 52:16It's like it locked up on the inner part of his leg on his
- 52:20right leg, so it's not as it kills.
- 52:23Them up on defense. It's not as it kills it.
- 52:25Was beautiful, good for him. I hope it's not as I really hope
- 52:28it's not his Achilles. He's an amazing player.
- 52:30He was having a great, great, great game when he went down.
- 52:34He was, I think it was something like 40-40 something points. 42
- 52:38have a double double because I wagered that he would have a
- 52:41double double. So of course he didn't get a
- 52:43double double. But listen, Boston can't win
- 52:47without him and the Knicks. This is the opening that they
- 52:51didn't, they didn't, you know, didn't really deserve to have
- 52:54something like this because they haven't played that well until
- 52:56this game. I thought they played well this
- 52:58game from what we watched, you know, while we're doing the
- 53:00show. But it's a tough break
- 53:03sometimes. They won last year.
- 53:04It's really hard to repeat, man Really hard.
- 53:06If Tatum's down now and and the Knicks, the Knicks better win
- 53:09because if they don't win with Tatum down, it's an absolute
- 53:13catastrophe. So this this should be an easy
- 53:16way. If it's not in Boston, you wait.
- 53:18Go back to New York in Game 6 and and knock them out.
- 53:21You have to win in one of these two games.
- 53:23Don't take it to a Game 7 because anything could happen.
- 53:28So for mine, I'm going over to the NFL, Xavier Bubbard
- 53:32Bluebird, I think that's how you say his name known as basically
- 53:36the Chiefs Aholic fan, the Super fan, the guy dressed as the wolf
- 53:40always showing up as the Super fan they call him, was just
- 53:43convicted for 32 years in prison for an Oklahoma bank robbery
- 53:48that he did two years ago. Now he apparently was caught
- 53:51because he tried fleeing the bank, of course, and stayed in
- 53:54the same exact state that he was caught in.
- 53:56So pretty dumb on that end as well.
- 53:59Now, I don't know the reason behind it.
- 54:01Maybe he just needed some more Chiefs gear and merchandise.
- 54:04Maybe his team's winning Super Bowls was just not exciting
- 54:07enough. He needed a bigger a thrill,
- 54:09more excitement. So it smells like Patrick
- 54:12Mahomes and his brother's ass crack after another Super Bowl
- 54:15season. And there we go.
- 54:18Interesting. Wow.
- 54:21Perfect for goodies. Intro right there.
- 54:25Wow. All right.
- 54:26Follow that. Follow that.
- 54:28Chargers Chargers legendary quarterback Philip Rivers has a
- 54:33son who is only a couple months older than his grandson.
- 54:37Phillips said that in a couple years, his son will be throwing
- 54:40touchdowns to his grandson in games.
- 54:44That is awesome. You know what that smells like?
- 54:49That smells like KY Jelly and humasacha kind of Lingus
- 54:54candles. KY Jelly all in your belly,
- 54:57baby. You are already no one it smells
- 55:00like. He has like 8 kids right?
- 55:03I don't know but my man. He adopted.
- 55:05All generation. He, he has, I think three of his
- 55:08own and the rest he's adopted so. 80s, nineties and today.
- 55:12Rivers, everything that we've read and we've actually me and
- 55:15Speedy have had a couple of his teammates said that Philip
- 55:17Rivers is one of the nicest people.
- 55:19He was crazy on the football field, one of the nuttiest.
- 55:22People. But ten kids.
- 55:24Yeah. And then seven them.
- 55:25One of the for the him and his wife are one of the nicest
- 55:29people you'll ever meet. So that's what they.
- 55:32Say ranging guts. Anybody takes that many kids in
- 55:36the way he has and adopted them, it's pretty funny.
- 55:38All right, so official, I'll help out the hockey content for
- 55:41what's that smell since you your story was used and dial it up.
- 55:44So I'm going to go to the Vegas Golden Knights star center
- 55:47Thomas Hurdle after a play in frustration after a whistle
- 55:51slammed his hockey stick on the Vegas Golden Knights trainer.
- 55:55And hopefully he's okay. I think he's recovering.
- 55:58Well, but he suffered. Yeah, he suffered a head injury.
- 56:02He was just frustration. And yeah, as you can see there
- 56:06into some obvious pain. So, yeah, hopefully he recovers
- 56:09well. But well, what happens in Vegas
- 56:11stays in Vegas. So I have to keep in Vegas for
- 56:13what it smells like. And since the Golden Knights are
- 56:15a well run organization, we'll shift to the Vegas football
- 56:18team. And what does that smell like?
- 56:21Tom Brady's puke when he has 19. Avocado Tequila.
- 56:25Shots. Wow.
- 56:29Avocado tequila, I mean. My dude eats avocado ice.
- 56:34Cream I want with my tequila. Like if I'm drinking, he makes
- 56:38avocado ice cream. Yeah, look, I get.
- 56:41I understand why people use avocado for things.
- 56:44I just don't ice cream, you know?
- 56:46Tequila give me. Just I'll have the tequila by
- 56:49itself. Well, I'm gonna, I'm gonna
- 56:53switch gears a little bit and kind of get it on a on a
- 56:56positive note here too. Something really cool that
- 56:59happened on Mother's Day, the brothers, the young brothers
- 57:05playing third base, playing tic tac toe and play in the same
- 57:09position, which has never happened in front of their
- 57:12mother on Mother's Day. And one of them go deep with a
- 57:14pink bat honoring his mother. And it smells like the roses
- 57:19that you give to your sweet, sweet girlfriend wife and just
- 57:23her smiling and knowing you're probably going to get laid that.
- 57:27Night, definitely. The Jung brother.
- 57:29The Jungs. All right, my final.
- 57:34What's that smell goes to Jake friggin Paul, Yes, as he's
- 57:40gearing up for his upcoming fight against Julio Cesar Chavez
- 57:46Junior. A guy that can't win a fire,
- 57:49hasn't won a fight. And what, I don't know, in the
- 57:51last 10 years, the guy's been an absolute joke.
- 57:54Well, Jake comes out and says, hey, listen, I'm getting in the
- 57:58ring with a champion at one point.
- 58:01I'm getting in the ring with a guy that was on top of the world
- 58:05at one point. I said, and to me, all Jake Paul
- 58:08is selling is at one point because Julio Cesar Chavez
- 58:14junior hasn't won in more than 10 points, 10 years of those
- 58:19points. What are you trying to sell?
- 58:21Here's what I think he's trying to sell.
- 58:23He's trying to sell a fight that means nothing.
- 58:26Jake Paul, he's on the HBO special Thing, the documentary
- 58:30that he has the poles. He's great at everything he
- 58:32touches. When it comes to marketing.
- 58:34Stop trying to sell something that doesn't exist.
- 58:38You will never get into a ring with a real boxer because if you
- 58:42do, you're going to get your ass whipped.
- 58:45What does that smell, ladies and gentlemen?
- 58:47It smells like Speedy's toe jam when he's sticking it up a
- 58:50goat's ass. So that's what I got to say.
- 58:53That's what it smells like. Speedy, what do you think?
- 58:56We have no context of going anywhere near a goat, so enjoy
- 59:00your fantasy. I'm putting you on a leash now.
- 59:04Yeah. I'll put the goat on the leash,
- 59:06then I'll put yeah. Nathan, if you ever if.
- 59:08You ever encounter it with a goat?
- 59:09Yeah. Put Errol on the leash first,
- 59:11then the goat. Just a lot of hot ladies.
- 59:14Mike Tyson, you know, like once you hit Mike Tyson, like that's
- 59:17pretty much it. But just right off into the
- 59:19sunset, you're good. Or at least or maybe try and
- 59:22fight real fighters. First of all, Mike Tyson.
- 59:24Almost. Mike Tyson.
- 59:25Almost died five months before he had.
- 59:29That I know I understand and Mike would have whooped them.
- 59:32I get the whole thing. But what I'm saying is APR stunt
- 59:35like I don't even know. I don't even know who this guy
- 59:37is. Like I know Mike Tyson like
- 59:38that's that's it. Let's end it there.
- 59:40You don't know who Jake Paul is. Yeah, I know who Jake Paul is.
- 59:43If we can hire Jake Paul to market our product, I I would
- 59:46absolutely hire him. He's the best in the business
- 59:48when it comes to marketing a product.
- 59:50Anything else, I'm keeping Jake Paul far, far away from that.
- 59:53And as far as boxing is concerned, I, I hate that he
- 59:56comes out and he says, well, I'm fighting boxers, real boxers.
- 1:00:00You are fighting real boxers that were boxers 1015 years ago.
- 1:00:04Julio Cesar Chavez junior hasn't want to fight in almost a decade
- 1:00:10and you're coming out and you're bragging about it.
- 1:00:12Please. He's not anybody.
- 1:00:15And Mike Tyson, when was the last time he want to fight?
- 1:00:19Give me a break. It's ridiculous.
- 1:00:21Go into the ring, fight Canelo Alvarez if he's willing to fight
- 1:00:24you. There were stories coming out
- 1:00:26that he was Canelo was interested in maybe fighting him
- 1:00:29maybe a month or two months ago. Now all of a sudden the talks
- 1:00:32are completely done because, you know, stop the talks, Jake Paul,
- 1:00:36because any any smart man would know that if he got into the
- 1:00:40ring more than a minute with Canelo Alvarez, he's getting his
- 1:00:43ass reamed and I mean really reamed by that guy.
- 1:00:46So it's just it's ridiculous. I'm so tired of hearing this
- 1:00:50guy. He's, he wants to be a champion.
- 1:00:52The only champion he's going to be is the champion of every
- 1:00:56stupid fighter that gets in the ring with him and actually takes
- 1:00:59the money and sells out to him because that's what everybody
- 1:01:01has done. Anyways, that's it for our show,
- 1:01:04ladies and gentlemen. It was a good one.
- 1:01:07Thank you. This scout, you National College
- 1:01:10scout, Mackenzie Sizzle, she was fantastic.

- 1:01:59Goody smelling somebody's underwear in the locker room.
- 1:02:01Anyways, that's it for our show. Who do we have on Thursday?
- 1:02:04Speech all right, and thanks Jonathan Nathan again for
- 1:02:06getting this one. And another well known actor
- 1:02:08joining us, Robert Funaro. He was on The Sopranos and many
- 1:02:12other things, a lot of gangster stuff, mob stuff in the last 23
- 1:02:16years but well known most for the for the support.
- 1:02:18Would you eat a sausage with him?
- 1:02:19Oh my God. Would you eat a sausage with
- 1:02:21them? No.
- 1:02:22Why not? Because you would make too big
- 1:02:24of a. Deal.
- 1:02:25I know I'm asking you. Would you eat a sausage?
- 1:02:26Yes. And you will not know about.
- 1:02:28It spicy hot. Which one?
- 1:02:30Yes, I'll not know about it. Thick, Nope.
- 1:02:33Dark, Nope. Stretch to the left to stretch
- 1:02:35to the right. Stretch where you can't see.
