- 0:05Speaker 1: Good morning, Mafia! It's Saturday, September 26th, and this is
- 0:10Speaker 1: the Morning Charge, your daily 10-minute or less Buffalo Bills
- 0:14Speaker 1: news hit. I'm Aaron Quinn, here with Colin Ritchie, bringing
- 0:17Speaker 1: you everything you need to know before you start your day.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Let's get right into it. The Friday injury reports are
- 0:23Speaker 1: officially out for both the Bills and Chargers, and there's
- 0:26Speaker 1: a lot to digest on both sides. Starting with the
- 0:29Speaker 1: Chargers side, Jim Harbaugh's squad is coming in heavily banged up,
- 0:32Speaker 1: officially ruling out five players for Sunday. Los Angeles will
- 0:36Speaker 1: be without guard Coyote Awashika, tight end Charlie Kohler, defensive
- 0:41Speaker 1: back Elijah Molden, guard Trey Pipkins, wideout Brendan Thompson, and
- 0:46Speaker 1: defensive lineman Dalvin Thomason. They are all ruled out. Cornerback
- 0:50Speaker 1: Rodney Shealy and backup quarterback Trey Lance are listed as questionable.
- 0:55Speaker 1: The silver lining for the Bolts, star safety Derwin Dames
- 0:59Speaker 1: and Khalil Mack, Tackle for Sean Slater and guard Cole
- 1:02Speaker 1: Strange are all cleared from their injury designations and will
- 1:05Speaker 1: play this Sunday. Now over to the Bills. The good
- 1:08Speaker 1: news is that wide receivers DJ Moore and Keon Coleman
- 1:11Speaker 1: were both upgraded to limited participants on Friday after missing
- 1:14Speaker 1: practice earlier in the week. Both Moore dealing with a
- 1:17Speaker 1: shoulder and Coleman nursing his ankle are officially listed as
- 1:20Speaker 1: questionable for Sunday. Defensive tackle Ed Oliver was a full
- 1:24Speaker 1: participant on Friday with his hip issue. Still, he carries
- 1:27Speaker 1: a questionable tag for the game on Sunday. Meanwhile, defensive
- 1:31Speaker 1: back Jordan Hancock has been ruled out with a hamstring
- 1:34Speaker 1: after back-to-back did not participate, and defensive lineman TJ Sanders
- 1:38Speaker 1: is also out as he continues to deal with an illness.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Linebacker Terrell Bernard had a rest day on Friday, but
- 1:43Speaker 1: he had no game status designation and looks good to go.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Running back Ty Johnson has been fully cleared and is
- 1:49Speaker 1: ready to make his season debut. Speaking of Jordan Hancock
- 1:54Speaker 1: being ruled out with a hamstring issue, it turns out
- 1:56Speaker 1: that situation is a bit more long-term than initially hoped.
- 2:00Speaker 1: The Buffalo Bills PR department officially announced this afternoon that
- 2:03Speaker 1: Hancock has been placed on injured reserve, meaning the young
- 2:06Speaker 1: defensive back will miss at least the next four games.
- 2:09Speaker 1: To fill in Hancock's spot in the 53-man active roster,
- 2:12Speaker 1: the Bills signed wide receiver Greg Dortch, elevated from the
- 2:15Speaker 1: practice squad. Turned to the podium, head coach Joe Brady
- 2:19Speaker 1: addressed the media today following Friday's practice, giving insight to
- 2:23Speaker 1: how he's managing the wide receiver situation with DJ Moore
- 2:25Speaker 1: and Cam Coleman questionable for Sunday. Brady emphasized that because
- 2:29Speaker 1: Moore and Coleman know the system so well, he's giving
- 2:32Speaker 1: them right up until game time on Sunday to prove
- 2:34Speaker 1: that they can play. He noted managing multiple game plans
- 2:37Speaker 1: based on who's available puts more pressure on him as
- 2:39Speaker 1: a caller than on the players, but he has all
- 2:42Speaker 1: the trust in whoever steps into the huddle. Brady specifically
- 2:46Speaker 1: pointed out Joshua Palmer's route running as a bright spot,
- 2:49Speaker 1: praising Palmer's details to the top of his routes and
- 2:51Speaker 1: how clearly he communicates with Josh Allen through leverage. He
- 2:55Speaker 1: also touched on rookie wideout Skyler Bell. noting that even
- 2:57Speaker 1: when the rookie isn't seeing heavy game snaps, Bell gets
- 3:00Speaker 1: significant work with Josh Allen in the first-team practice. Brady
- 3:03Speaker 1: praised Bell for leaning on veterans like Khalil Shakir and
- 3:06Speaker 1: DJ Moore to learn both the slot and outside roles,
- 3:09Speaker 1: emphasizing that every player on the fringe of the 48-game-day
- 3:11Speaker 1: roster needs to prepare like they're about to start. Finally,
- 3:15Speaker 1: Brady confirms that running back Ty Johnson is set to
- 3:17Speaker 1: return Sunday, saying Johnson's presence adds a dynamic element that
- 3:20Speaker 1: defenses have to account for differently.
- 3:23Speaker 2: NFL Stat Update Heading into Week 3, Josh Allen is
- 3:28Speaker 2: 4th in the league in passing yards with 582, trailing
- 3:33Speaker 2: Tyler Shuck, Bryce Young, and CJ Stroud. Similarly, James Cook
- 3:38Speaker 2: is also 4th in rushing yards with 192 entering the week,
- 3:43Speaker 2: trailing only Kenneth Walker, Derrick Henry, and Jameer Gibbs. Dalton
- 3:49Speaker 2: Kincaid leads all tight ends with 225 receiving yards. In fact,
- 3:54Speaker 2: he's third overall in the category entering week three. The
- 3:58Speaker 2: only players so far with more receiving yards are Jackson
- 4:01Speaker 2: Smith and Jigba and Chris Olave. It's only two games,
- 4:05Speaker 2: but Gregorso currently leads the league in sacks with four
- 4:10Speaker 2: and forced fumbles with three. That leads us into our
- 4:14Speaker 2: stat of the day. According to Bill's PR, Buffalo has a.
- 4:19Speaker 2: 871 win percentage in games Rousseau has at least half
- 4:23Speaker 2: a sack, which leads all NFL pass rushers since 1982
- 4:29Speaker 2: in translating sacks into wins.
- 4:33Speaker 1: And finally, here's a reminder of how to catch the
- 4:35Speaker 1: game on Sunday. Here's where you'll find it. On TV,
