- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And in today's episode of The
- 0:43Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a hypnosis session
- 0:46created for a client that had ended a long term relationship
- 0:52of many decades and was starting to date again after that
- 0:57separation, but obviously fell out of their comfort zone
- 1:02because they hadn't been with anyone else for many, many
- 1:06years. So it felt daunting.
- 1:08There was an element of anxiety, fear, trepidation and
- 1:12hesitation. Attached to that.
- 1:14And what you're going to hear in this hypnosis session is
- 1:18regression to a resource state and then future pacing to prime
- 1:25and anchor and trigger a resourceful state in the right
- 1:28context. So they could remember a time
- 1:32when they were a young adult dating and just oozing with
- 1:37confidence and really feeling in the flow, feeling comfortable in
- 1:42their own skin, engaging and initiating and and really
- 1:46feeling comfortable. So we go back to that time and
- 1:50harness those resource states. Call it.
- 1:53Confidence, charisma and a feeling of freeness of of
- 1:58relaxation. And then anchoring.
- 2:01That and they could recall wearing a watch at the time.
- 2:05They had a different watch now, but the key thing is that they
- 2:07tend to wear a watch. So you will hear certain
- 2:11anchoring suggestions of feeling the feeling and then touching a
- 2:16watch in a particular way. And that was.
- 2:18Useful. Because then they could trigger
- 2:20that feeling in the future dates where they would want it, and
- 2:25then there's an element of observing themself with those.
- 2:29Qualities. With those resources in an
- 2:31upcoming date where it would be helpful for them.
- 2:35So there's a bit going on here. I would say it's going to be
- 2:38most helpful if you are currently in the in the dating
- 2:45game you're, let's say meeting new people, but that's kind of
- 2:50socially or actually going on dates or early stages of a
- 2:53relationship and are. Feeling some.
- 2:56Level of discomfort or anxiety and it might be anxiety of
- 3:02performance anxiety where it might be anxiety of where the
- 3:05relationship may end up It it doesn't really matter.
- 3:07Just be clear on how you would like it to be.
- 3:11Remember a time when you had that feeling and then you'll be
- 3:14able to future pace that to an upcoming situational context
- 3:18where it would be useful for you.
- 3:21Obviously it was created for a specific clients where the
- 3:24references about a river and a gas.
- 3:27LAMP were specific to that client.
- 3:31Because they could recall that sculpture, that river, that
- 3:35Lantern, and that might not map across to you.
- 3:38So ignore anything that is irrelevant.
- 3:41Hone in on what is relevant and useful for you.
- 3:44And if you do like the idea. Of.
- 3:46A bespoke session created for you.
- 3:49There will be a link in the show notes where you can schedule
- 3:51that free consultation call. We'll have a chat and maybe I'm
- 3:54the right hypnotherapist to work with you to help.
- 3:57You access. More confident feeling in
- 4:00certain situations. For now though, find a quiet,
- 4:03comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
- 4:06Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in.
- 4:57As you breathe in, breathe in relaxation.
- 5:00And as you exhale, allow your eyelids to close, and as they
- 5:09close, get a sense that you can give more of your attention to
- 5:16the sound of my voice. As you continue to breathe in
- 5:21that relaxation and get a sense that you're releasing any
- 5:28tension, any stress, any worries, let them go and feel
- 5:34that they're leaving your body in that outward breath.
- 5:41On the next inward breath, breathe in deeper than you
- 5:43normally would. And as you exhale, just elongate
- 5:50that outward breath slower and longer, creating a vacuum there
- 5:55in your diaphragm so that you naturally breathe deeper, longer
- 6:02and slower. And the deeper you breathe, the
- 6:08more relaxed you become. And the more relaxed you become,
- 6:13the deeper you breathe. And I wonder if you can use the
- 6:19power of your imagination to imagine going all the way back
- 6:28to a specific river. Perhaps you can recall from
- 6:34university days. I want you to imagine this river
- 6:40just before sunset. Enough light in the sky to
- 6:45comfortably walk by that river, but not dazzling, not hot
- 6:51sunshine. Just feel a sense of calm,
- 6:55tranquility as you imagine walking by that river.
- 7:06And we need to feel that there's something calming about the flow
- 7:11of the water. In many ways, the flow of water
- 7:16in a river can represent time. It only flows in One Direction.
- 7:22I want you to get a sense then whatever happens in your life,
- 7:28it's almost like a branch, a twig, a leaf on that river.
- 7:34It's there temporary, and then it flows forward.
- 7:38And I want you to walk to a place in this river where you
- 7:40can see almost unusual shapes there, but when you look at them
- 7:50from a particular perspective, it creates something that can
- 7:55only be seen from that unique perspective.
- 8:01To anyone else, from any other location, it looks random and
- 8:05disjointed. But in that specific spot, it
- 8:11all makes sense. You can see something, but only
- 8:18from that location. I want you to get a sense that
- 8:23the sun is now setting. Maybe you can see orange, pinks,
- 8:29colours there in the sky. Still staring into this strange,
- 8:35fascinating sculpture. And then nearby, I want you to
- 8:40see an old fashioned gas lamp that just seems to magically
- 8:46have lighted. It's not like a an electric
- 8:52light. I want you to get a sense that
- 8:55this has history connotations. And I want you to get a sense
- 9:01then, in the same way that this gas lamp is burning brightly, I
- 9:07want you to think about a certain energy that exists
- 9:12within you and that that just as you can turn up, a gas lamp is
- 9:18turning up inside you. And you might call it desire or
- 9:22libido or a sense of inner confidence.
- 9:28But just imagine that inner energy within you turning up as
- 9:35you get a sense of feeling, a real deep sense that you have
- 9:44more of that very resource. Now stare into that lamp.
- 9:51See it burning brightly as the sunset turns into dusk and
- 9:56you're now staring into a gas lamp.
- 10:01Notice the shape of it, the brightness of it.
- 10:03And as you stare into that, sometimes you stare into a
- 10:07shape, a light. Your eyes defocus and you can
- 10:13Daydream and drift, and I want you to imagine drifting back in
- 10:19time as an observer, and I want you to see a version of you from
- 10:26your past where you were at your most confident when it comes to
- 10:33dating and relationships. There's no timid version of you
- 10:38here. No anxious version, no
- 10:42analytical or overthinking version of you.
- 10:44I want you to go back to the time where you had inherent
- 10:50innate confidence. And I want you to see that
- 10:55version of you, perhaps at the moment of first meeting someone
- 10:59that caught your eye. See how you looked, the
- 11:05expression you made. That knowing what you know, you
- 11:09know that that version of you had desire and attraction in
- 11:14that moment, and there's many people that would have that
- 11:19desire and attraction, but they're not the confidence to do
- 11:22anything with it. I want you to see that you did
- 11:26have the confidence to do something with him.
- 11:30Maybe it was asking someone on a date, maybe on a specific day,
- 11:37but I want you to see how you did that.
- 11:42Some people would hide behind letters or text messages.
- 11:47Maybe you did it face to face or over a phone call.
- 11:51I want you to see that how you went about it as a
- 11:56presupposition that the confidence was inherently within
- 11:59you. I want you to see that maybe
- 12:04there was a challenge, something that made it more difficult, and
- 12:08yet you solve that challenge. You deployed your resources to
- 12:13make this thing happen. Observe yourself, maybe in a
- 12:20first date or a second or third date, but see how effortless the
- 12:26conversation flowed, how naturally it was for you to
- 12:30smile, how attentive you were to subtle clues.
- 12:37You're just the observer of a memory, but see that the
- 12:42confidence existed within you. No question of were you ready,
- 12:51no concern whether or not someone would get hurt because
- 12:54you knew that your intentions were good, positive, respectful.
- 13:04Not only was there an absence of fear, but you were brimming and
- 13:08oozing confidence. Let me see you with a certain
- 13:13level of charisma. Look for the tells, the clues
- 13:17that all of that was there. And when you have a sense that
- 13:23this version of you has the resource that you require and
- 13:27design now in abundance, let me know by nodding your head.
- 13:37That's it. So I want you to imagine
- 13:42rewinding these memories and then stepping into that version
- 13:48of you just before you met this person.
- 13:52You're now in your body, feeling like you felt back then and just
- 13:57feeling that instant feeling of attraction.
- 14:02What did you notice? Was it the eyes, a smile?
- 14:07A body shape? Complexion of the skin?
- 14:11The hair? There was something you noticed
- 14:13that enabled you to intuitively come to the conclusion that
- 14:20there was real authentic attraction.
- 14:27And maybe what followed is an intuitive desire to follow that
- 14:31up, coming up with reasons to say hello or have conversations,
- 14:39feel like you're back in your body at that point of inviting
- 14:44them out for a date. Perhaps you felt a sense of
- 14:50elation, excitement at the point where a date is agreed, a time
- 15:00is confirmed. I want you to get a sense that
- 15:05feel like you're back in your body during that date where you
- 15:10ooze that confidence, breathe the same way you were breathing
- 15:15back then. And at the point where you feel
- 15:20you've got this resource in abundance, I want you to recall
- 15:25perhaps that you were wearing a watch.
- 15:26And I want you to touch that watch in a unique way, to feel
- 15:31that you are harnessing this resource, that if you ever need
- 15:35this resource in the future, touching your watch in the same
- 15:40way, you can bring about those same feelings.
- 15:46That's it. I want you to see perhaps how
- 15:48that date ended. Maybe there were certain
- 15:53qualities you admire in yourself, like charisma or
- 15:57chivalry, confidence or certain humour.
- 16:04Again, feel that you are simplifying those feelings, Want
- 16:13to relive the moment. He felt incredible connected to
- 16:18a moment of intimacy, maybe a kiss, a haggart touch or
- 16:23something else. But at the point where it felt
- 16:27natural, nothing was forced, nothing was expected.
- 16:33A natural sense that it was just the right thing to do.
- 16:40When you feel that sense of comfort and ease connected to
- 16:43that touch the watch in a slightly different way.
- 16:50It's good to harness confidence, but it's also good to harness
- 16:53the comfort, the relaxation, the naturalness.
- 16:57That's it. I want you to recall the moment
- 17:03where you were no longer in the same proximity, but you felt
- 17:09elation, a real spring in your step, real strut and again,
- 17:18touch the watch in a slightly different way.
- 17:22That feeling of all of that oxytocin, endorphins, serotonin
- 17:30flooding through your body, some people call that love, some
- 17:34people call it connection, some people call it chemistry.
- 17:38Whatever you call it, field it. That's what you're seeking.
- 17:46I want you to get a sense then these wonderful feelings carry
- 17:50some element of risk. But you were fearless back then,
- 17:54and you can be fearless again. No risk, no reward.
- 18:00Feel comfortable rolling the dice to lead to wonderful
- 18:03experiences. I want you to get a sense.
- 18:08Then you're leaving that version of you, but keeping the feelings
- 18:14inside you. The ideal balance of head and
- 18:18heart, passion and perspective. And then find yourself staring
- 18:28into a gas lamp on the side of a river, feeling that you've
- 18:33activated and rekindled something powerful within you.
- 18:36As you stare into that lamp. I want you to imagine seeing
- 18:41yourself at your current age, perhaps a week or two from now,
- 18:48maybe even a few days from now. But see yourself on a date.
- 18:54But see yourself with those qualities that you had back
- 18:58then. The way you talk, the way you
- 19:01walk. You are oozing that confidence,
- 19:08brimming with charisma, going with the flow, no expectations,
- 19:13no obligations. See yourself free of any baggage
- 19:18you've been holding onto. There is a lightness, a freeness
- 19:23to you, and you can tell that by how you're talking, how you're
- 19:26walking. But I want you to see that if
- 19:31you make the evaluation to take things further, then see
- 19:39yourself as the one initiating. See yourself touching your watch
- 19:46in a particular way to activate more of these kind of feelings.
- 19:53See yourself with nothing to lose.
- 19:58You either win or you learn. Whatever happens is an improved
- 20:05experience from doing nothing. But there is a feeling of
- 20:12freedom that you can observe in that version of you and then see
- 20:14yourself progressing to a point of chemistry, of intimacy, of
- 20:23connection. But see yourself doing that in a
- 20:28way where it's synergistic. Good for you and good for them.
- 20:35I want you to get a sense, then certain things everyone benefits
- 20:42from. I want you to get a sense then,
- 20:47that confident, free version of you that doesn't have that
- 20:53anxiety is now able to let natural desires and urges float
- 20:59back to the surface where it belongs.
- 21:04And if you could see that future version of you seeming more
- 21:07relaxed, more comfortable, more confident, willing to initiate
- 21:12with all the options and none of the obligations, just let me
- 21:14know by nodding your head. That's it.
- 21:19I want you to get a sense that you have now primed your
- 21:23conscious and unconscious mind to activate this version of you.
- 21:29And I want you to think of not being on a date, but getting
- 21:35ready for a date, but now in your own body.
- 21:39I want you to think of taking a shower, putting on certain
- 21:45clothes, maybe even wearing a particular fragrance, and all of
- 21:50these things start to trigger this feeling.
- 21:54Feeling of water on your skin in the shower triggers this
- 21:57feeling. The fabric of clothes on your
- 22:01body triggers this feeling, the watch on your wrist triggers
- 22:05this feeling, even the fragrance.
- 22:07And when you find yourself in that date, you will find it
- 22:13impossible not to notice things and qualities that you find
- 22:19attractive. Maybe it's a perspective, an eye
- 22:26colour, a fragrance of smell, a physical touch.
- 22:35Your brain will drift towards attractive qualities.
- 22:41And when it notices those attractive qualities, don't be
- 22:45surprised if a gas lamp in you goes from a dull flame to a
- 22:50bright flame. Intuitively, it just happens.
- 22:57I want you to get a sense that your optimism levels for future
- 23:01dates and relationships are now sky high.
- 23:06You just have a sense that things are going to go well
- 23:08without knowing specifically why.
- 23:12There will be an ease of comfort, a sense of going with
- 23:18the flow in any future dates, giving you all of the options
- 23:24but no obligations, nothing you have to do and just things that
- 23:31you could do or get to do. No expectations, just
- 23:36appreciating when good things happen.
- 23:41And as you hold that thought, find yourself staring back into
- 23:45a an old lamp by a river. It's night time now, but you get
- 23:51a sense that something has shifted, something has changed,
- 23:58that you've replaced a unresourceful emotion with
- 24:01something very resourceful. And that feels good.
- 24:06So it's time to imagine walking back from that river, back to
- 24:09the here and the now. So take a deep breath in through
- 24:12your nose and now through your nose.
- 24:16Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 24:18Connect fully into the here and the now as I now count from 1:00
- 24:21to 10:00 to awaken you. Starting to count. 123 Waking
- 24:28up. 456 More alert 7-8 Open your eyes.
- 24:32Open your eyes. 910 Wide awake, wide awake, wide awake.
