Do Writers Have a Responsibility to Flee Platforms that Feature Hate Content?
This is from February of 2025, but I see people talking about this concept again. It’s an ongoing problem. Here are my thoughts.If I walk into a restaurant and I see a bunch of men with hate symbols on their jackets, I’m going to turn around and walk right back out the door. I would prefer to spend my money in establishments where hatred is not welcome. Unfortunately, in both the physical and digital spheres, those places are getting harder and harder to find.As a consumer, I have a certain amount of economic power.
