Inmate Dies in St Louis Jail | Duluth News
A tragic incident unfolded at the St. Louis County jail early Saturday, August 8th, when an inmate died during a medical emergency. Correctional officers rushed to the scene and performed CPR and used an AED in a desperate attempt to save the person’s life—but tragically, it was unsuccessful. The inmate’s identity remains private as authorities work to notify their family. To ensure impartiality, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office has referred the investigation to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, which will now lead all updates and findings.
