- Lucas: Ciao, Luna! Ready for another episode? Today we're going to keep cycling — we're back at the park, on our bikes. Luna: Oh, I loved last episode! I've been practicing 'la bicicletta' and 'vado in bicicletta' all week. Lucas: That's awesome. So today, let's add a couple of new words. First, 'la ruota' — the wheel. Luna: La ruota. The wheel. Like the round thing that goes round and round. Lucas: Exactly. And 'il casco' — the helmet. Luna: Il casco. The helmet. I always wear mine when I ride. Lucas: Good habit. So let's hear the full phrase: 'Mi piace andare in bicicletta.' I like to ride a bike. Luna: Mi piace andare in bicicletta. That's a mouthful! Mi piace an-dare in bi ci chet ta. Lucas: You've got it. And 'Vado in bicicletta' — I go by bike, or I ride a bike. Luna: Vado in bicicletta. So if someone asks 'Come vai al lavoro?' I can say 'Vado in bicicletta.' Lucas: Yes! Now let's put it all together. Imagine you're at the park, and you see a friend. Luna: Ciao! Come stai? Vado in bicicletta oggi. Lucas: Perfetto. And if they ask if you like it, you say 'Mi piace andare in bicicletta.' Luna: Mi piace andare in bicicletta. And I can say 'Il casco è importante.' The helmet is important. Lucas: Exactly. Or 'La ruota è rotta.' The wheel is broken. That could come in handy. Luna: Oh no! Spero di no. I hope not. Lucas: Let's do a quick review. Repeat after me: la bicicletta. Luna: La bicicletta. Lucas: La ruota. Luna: La ruota. Lucas: Il casco. Luna: Il casco. Lucas: Mi piace andare in bicicletta. Luna: Mi piace andare in bicicletta. Lucas: Vado in bicicletta. Luna: Vado in bicicletta. Luna: Ho un buco nella ruota. That's good to know. But I hope I don't need it! Lucas: Let's do one more repetition. All together now: la bicicletta. Luna: La bicicletta. Lucas: La ruota.
