- 0:20Speaker 3: Mike is widow.
- 0:21Speaker 1: She's a cool guy too. Was fun.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Man, Your mom's a treat.
- 0:24Speaker 1: My mom is a trip.
- 0:26Speaker 2: She really is a trip.
- 0:27Speaker 4: What's her story?
- 0:28Speaker 2: How did she meet your dad? Oh?
- 0:29Speaker 1: I think I think he won her the crap game.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Dog didn't like that that I met at the dog
- 0:40Speaker 1: is pissed off at the steak. You guys just served
- 0:42Speaker 1: him no de medded applying day at demanded applying date.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Oh really, yeah, that's what I was told.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Mom. I just cursed in your house. I'm really sorry.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I cursed. I apologize. She's gonna throw me out, she's
- 1:00Speaker 2: she was yelling from the top of the stairs.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Sure, she makes sure a couple of rosers on your bed.
- 1:03Speaker 1: I'll do a hail Mary.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I promise, all right, we're good.
- 1:07Speaker 1: She should like that, because no, uh, what was I
- 1:11Speaker 1: saying that I forgot date?
- 1:12Speaker 5: Uh?
- 1:13Speaker 1: Blind date? And my dad was from like my mom
- 1:16Speaker 1: is from Manhattan originally, right, my dad is from stutt Island,
- 1:19Speaker 1: but on the North Shore, like stutt Island. Have you
- 1:22Speaker 1: been out guys been out hit so much? Or no?
- 1:24Speaker 2: No, Staten Island is a really strange place because it's
- 1:26Speaker 2: not easy to get to. So a lot of New
- 1:28Speaker 2: Yorkers don't really go to Staten Island.
- 1:30Speaker 1: So I can tell you about hell it us out
- 1:32Speaker 1: here to like No, but it's like in she Maan Areas,
- 1:34Speaker 1: it's still a shame from Donnie Brasco. And then is
- 1:37Speaker 1: in the North Shore it's poisoned the hood. And then
- 1:41Speaker 1: like we have hipsters now very dough.
- 1:43Speaker 6: You know what's annoying is a lot of people ship,
- 1:45Speaker 6: especially all the commers. They we shit on Staten Island.
- 1:48Speaker 6: But we have a place to park in front of
- 1:49Speaker 6: our house. We got trees, parks, American flags outside town.
- 1:53Speaker 4: You know, yeah, backyard.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I was just in Mike's backyard. So yeah, and Salad
- 1:59Speaker 2: does the podcast asked with Mike Buschetti. I noticed you
- 2:01Speaker 2: didn't fully commit to the neck tattoo.
- 2:03Speaker 6: Actually I fully committed when I was twenty one, oh
- 2:06Speaker 6: and I spent fifty bucks on it.
- 2:08Speaker 4: I was on drugs back then.
- 2:09Speaker 6: I was like twenty and I've spent like six hundred
- 2:11Speaker 6: bucks so far in tattoo removals to you real, that's
- 2:13Speaker 6: why it's fading. Yeah, oh so it was a full
- 2:16Speaker 6: next tattoo, he just said the word, but it was
- 2:18Speaker 6: a lot darker.
- 2:19Speaker 2: It's so stupid, right, what was the words?
- 2:20Speaker 4: It's free.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a badass though. It was in the military
- 2:25Speaker 1: for real.
- 2:26Speaker 2: I could tell I kind of sized up. So when
- 2:30Speaker 2: I got in this house, he was no joke. Yeah, no, no,
- 2:32Speaker 2: he was like a parrot jumping out of the plane.
- 2:34Speaker 2: You like, he'll kill you the fucking button knife.
- 2:36Speaker 4: I loved him, Mike, I knew some real badasses.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I was being a little obnoxious, but let's sit it o.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Let's know, I loved the military because I was a
- 2:45Speaker 1: fake military guy. He'll fucking kill you with the fucking
- 2:48Speaker 1: pen knife.
- 2:49Speaker 6: Well, Mike said he was a fake military guy because
- 2:51Speaker 6: he went to training in the Marines and then left early.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:54Speaker 6: I didn't finish my term either. You know, I was
- 2:56Speaker 6: kicked out for alcohol rehabilitation and failure. You know, I'm
- 2:59Speaker 6: okay today, but I was fucked up that he was.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Jumping out of planes. I can't even jump up a step, lad.
- 3:04Speaker 2: You know, the Marines got mad on the old radio
- 3:07Speaker 2: show and you talk about I don't want to talk.
- 3:08Speaker 1: About them guys. Oh guys, kill some more people for
- 3:12Speaker 1: some safe But the thing is like a saying earlier,
- 3:17Speaker 1: I think what happened he was a fucking travish thinging
- 3:19Speaker 1: Oh you think no, no, no, no, I'm sure do
- 3:24Speaker 1: you No? I mean that's Hill want to bite me?
- 3:28Speaker 6: I don't.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I mean that's in Hill now, thanks Mike, all kidding aside.
- 3:31Speaker 2: I uh, I was devastated when they let me go.
- 3:34Speaker 2: It's serious.
- 3:35Speaker 7: No, no.
- 3:36Speaker 1: More devastating is that I can't.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I can go.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I can for an hour at least I could name
- 3:41Speaker 1: people international headlanders now and bigot people are on TV,
- 3:44Speaker 1: older movies, the millionaires themselves. Now, that just fucking went
- 3:50Speaker 1: in the back on you, like, you know, not only
- 3:52Speaker 1: all he don't have dish bad now they're saying all
- 3:55Speaker 1: kinds of fucking nonsense and stuff, right, and you know
- 3:57Speaker 1: what I think so much sometime, what do you.
- 4:00Speaker 2: That's about, Mike, Because look, I'm not completely innocent. Obviously,
- 4:03Speaker 2: we all have our issues and we've done things to people.
- 4:06Speaker 2: So all right, fair enough, So some of the stuff
- 4:09Speaker 2: you know is justified, But why do you think that like,
- 4:12Speaker 2: so many people have now decided they have to stab
- 4:14Speaker 2: me in the back and talk shit about me now
- 4:17Speaker 2: that I don't have this big radio show, because what
- 4:19Speaker 2: do you think it's about?
- 4:20Speaker 1: People are super self absorbed in this business, because it's
- 4:24Speaker 1: about what can you do for me lately? That's the
- 4:26Speaker 1: main thing. And it's like, I don't, like I said
- 4:29Speaker 1: my friends in this Who I like is people I
- 4:32Speaker 1: don't care if so much famous international, I don't want
- 4:34Speaker 1: to be a friend of. I don't care what they
- 4:36Speaker 1: can do for me. Yeah you know what I mean.
- 4:38Speaker 1: If I like you as a person in my friend
- 4:40Speaker 1: most people like like a chess gin like, oh he
- 4:43Speaker 1: can get me a dish. That guy will do dish
- 4:45Speaker 1: that they'll do that. No, it's about having great work done,
- 4:48Speaker 1: keeping your mouth shut, and didn't warn everybody you can.
- 4:50Speaker 2: So it's safe to say a lot of those relationships
- 4:52Speaker 2: I had over the years were not real. Huh. It
- 4:55Speaker 2: depends on what is It was real because I had the
- 4:57Speaker 2: big show and then the show goes away. I really
- 5:00Speaker 2: I found out who my true friends are. Oh yeah,
- 5:02Speaker 2: and I found out what a lot of these people
- 5:05Speaker 2: are made of. I still had plenty of friends and
- 5:08Speaker 2: a bunch of.
- 5:08Speaker 6: Those guys stuck around since because as I've come up
- 5:11Speaker 6: from a fans point of view, and when it became
- 5:13Speaker 6: just OPI Radio, your show became the only show I
- 5:16Speaker 6: was listening to, even though I was fans of everybody else,
- 5:19Speaker 6: and I couldn't figure out in my head as somebody
- 5:22Speaker 6: was just a fan and then found the YouTube. Shit
- 5:24Speaker 6: what they would say about you on the other side,
- 5:26Speaker 6: and then what you were trying to say, was any
- 5:29Speaker 6: of the shit true? Like that you were just always
- 5:32Speaker 6: an asshole behind the scenes, you know, as a fan,
- 5:34Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I mean, I unfortunately played the role of boss, so
- 5:39Speaker 2: that comes with a lot of tough things you gotta do.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I hired most of the people, I had to fire
- 5:44Speaker 2: most of the people. I had to deal with everyone's
- 5:47Speaker 2: issues at at serious XM, and those guys all they
- 5:51Speaker 2: had to do was show up and be funny on
- 5:52Speaker 2: the radio and leave immediately. You know. I was the
- 5:54Speaker 2: one that was taking all the meetings, so just like
- 5:58Speaker 2: you're in an Asian to manage well some of them
- 6:01Speaker 2: and some of it was certainly some of it was true,
- 6:04Speaker 2: but also it's based on very very old information. I
- 6:07Speaker 2: realized a long time ago that I kind of had
- 6:09Speaker 2: an anger problem, Like I would be frustrating with people
- 6:12Speaker 2: around me and I would yell and scream.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Who doesn't thank you?
- 6:14Speaker 2: But I would yell and scream to try to get
- 6:16Speaker 2: my way and try to get my point across. Realize
- 6:19Speaker 2: when you do that, even though you know you're right
- 6:21Speaker 2: with what you're saying, no one's going to listen to you.
- 6:24Speaker 2: They think you're complete and out to ask how are.
- 6:26Speaker 4: They taking it?
- 6:26Speaker 6: And you know where I related to you was because
- 6:28Speaker 6: when I started, I mean, obviously your show is a
- 6:30Speaker 6: behemoth that my show, my podcast is like a little
- 6:33Speaker 6: speck of sand.
- 6:34Speaker 4: So I started my podcast it was just me.
- 6:36Speaker 6: And then after a year or so, I met with
- 6:38Speaker 6: these other comics networking and then I started working with them.
- 6:41Speaker 4: But now there's more voices at the table. So it's
- 6:42Speaker 4: like when.
- 6:43Speaker 6: Opie created his show back in the day. Now he's
- 6:45Speaker 6: got Anthony on with him. Now, Jim Norton comes sometimes
- 6:49Speaker 6: other people on the show. They started clicking together and
- 6:51Speaker 6: then I could see you or maybe even here now
- 6:53Speaker 6: you're sitting there like this is my show. I also
- 6:55Speaker 6: want to bring my show in a certain direction. But
- 6:58Speaker 6: sometimes the guy steering the ships is the sales are
- 7:00Speaker 6: blowing different ways, and I can see where a lot
- 7:02Speaker 6: of frustration came from. Sometimes you're trying to go here
- 7:05Speaker 6: and then other people at the table are pulling it
- 7:08Speaker 6: this way, you know what I mean. So I saw
- 7:09Speaker 6: a lot of times where you were kind of liked
- 7:10Speaker 6: this conversation.
- 7:12Speaker 2: You know, Wow, Sal's really smart. I stick with this guy,
- 7:17Speaker 2: I really know, because that's a really good point. And
- 7:21Speaker 2: I'll admit this today too, Like when you have three guys,
- 7:23Speaker 2: you're gonna have two that are tighter. And I was
- 7:26Speaker 2: definitely the odd man out right sometimes because Jimmy and
- 7:28Speaker 2: Aunt got really close and bonded, and uh, you know
- 7:32Speaker 2: maybe at that point, you know, they should have just
- 7:34Speaker 2: kind of moved on and done their own thing.
- 7:36Speaker 6: And not to say it's a bad thing, but I
- 7:37Speaker 6: could see where when it's your show and you're going
- 7:39Speaker 6: well with these two people are closer to where And
- 7:42Speaker 6: I used to as a fan listening, you would go, Okay,
- 7:44Speaker 6: well maybe in a year, we don't continue with this,
- 7:45Speaker 6: and we just go our own ways and do our
- 7:47Speaker 6: own things. And as a selfish fan of is go no,
- 7:49Speaker 6: fucking don't break it up. But I get why now
- 7:51Speaker 6: you're like, in a peaceful way, I'm gonna go do
- 7:53Speaker 6: my thing and have fun, and you could go do
- 7:54Speaker 6: your thing.
- 7:55Speaker 2: And well, the interesting thing about that I get, I
- 7:58Speaker 2: get a lot of hate that I was the one
- 8:00Speaker 2: up opian Anthony. I never broke up and Anthony Anthony
- 8:02Speaker 2: got fired.
- 8:03Speaker 4: But what about them saying you could have fought for
- 8:04Speaker 4: Anthony Moore?
- 8:05Speaker 2: We absolutely fought for Anthony. I mean he likes to
- 8:08Speaker 2: spend that. Now, we also were under contract, so we
- 8:10Speaker 2: couldn't leave right away. They were threatening us with all
- 8:12Speaker 2: sorts of stuff.
- 8:13Speaker 4: I don't think should have left because of the contract,
- 8:15Speaker 4: But I.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Mean Anthony never Anthony never asked me to join him
- 8:20Speaker 2: when he was fired. When he was fired when he
- 8:23Speaker 2: was If he wasn't fired, the Opie and Anthony brand
- 8:26Speaker 2: would have continued in some way.
- 8:27Speaker 6: When you made the video about it, kind of was
- 8:30Speaker 6: misleading that you were going to be Anthony's duo co host,
- 8:32Speaker 6: but then you told us no, I'm not. Before Artie
- 8:33Speaker 6: came on, in my head, I was thinking, did Anthony
- 8:36Speaker 6: ever ask him? And Opie just didn't want to go?
- 8:37Speaker 6: Did that ever happen? Did he ever offer you to
- 8:39Speaker 6: that spot?
- 8:40Speaker 2: I was offered to go over to Compound Media through Keith.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Through Keith, me and Anthony officially never well no, then
- 8:47Speaker 2: Anton sort of reached out Center it would be cool,
- 8:49Speaker 2: but at that point it wasn't the right place for
- 8:52Speaker 2: me because I needed to move on and do my
- 8:54Speaker 2: own thing. And it was at this point it was
- 8:56Speaker 2: years have gone by since the Ona Show, so id
- 9:00Speaker 2: very seriously and in the end, I'm like, that's just
- 9:02Speaker 2: not the place for me. Nothing against those guys over there,
- 9:05Speaker 2: but I want to do a whole, you know, different thing.
- 9:07Speaker 2: And somehow that's spun into now I really got to
- 9:11Speaker 2: hate you even more.
- 9:12Speaker 6: You know, when you turned me because I didn't know
- 9:15Speaker 6: who to like more or whatever.
- 9:17Speaker 2: But I don't care who people like more.
- 9:19Speaker 6: I want to say, when you're a point of view,
- 9:22Speaker 6: you don't want to deal with that though, And I
- 9:23Speaker 6: see a lot of fans they picked sides ridiculous. Yeah,
- 9:26Speaker 6: And as a fan of both, there was a day
- 9:27Speaker 6: you turned me. I remember it was when it was
- 9:30Speaker 6: open towards the end of Opie and Gym, and one day
- 9:33Speaker 6: you just said it all. It was like an hour
- 9:34Speaker 6: long and you talked about when you said Anthony didn't
- 9:37Speaker 6: even when he left your wedding, or when you said
- 9:39Speaker 6: he hasn't even met my second kid.
- 9:41Speaker 4: I remember, Mike call.
- 9:42Speaker 6: My wife used to hate when I would just play
- 9:43Speaker 6: the show all the time, but she doesn't want to
- 9:44Speaker 6: hear it all. But remember that day, even she was
- 9:46Speaker 6: quiet and we were listening together, I was like, listen
- 9:48Speaker 6: to this, like the real shit's coming out. And I
- 9:50Speaker 6: was like, you know what, I could see it from
- 9:51Speaker 6: Opie's point of view at this point, after twenty years,
- 9:54Speaker 6: you haven't seen his kid.
- 9:55Speaker 4: You left the wedding. I just got married a year ago.
- 9:56Speaker 6: If one of my people I've known for twenty years
- 9:58Speaker 6: just got up and took some of the wedding and
- 10:00Speaker 6: left right the wow I was bringing.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Up some turt I was deeply I was deeply hurt.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Because we got married in Philly at the Ritz Carlton
- 10:09Speaker 2: and Anticide. That was a perfect weekend to plan a
- 10:14Speaker 2: trip to Atlantic City. So not only did he not
- 10:18Speaker 2: stay for for you know, plates, you know plates, you know, uh,
- 10:23Speaker 2: they didn't stay for you know, the main part of
- 10:25Speaker 2: the wedding because they moved on to Atlantic City and
- 10:27Speaker 2: he brought a whole bunch of the staff with him,
- 10:29Speaker 2: So not only did he leave, he left with a
- 10:32Speaker 2: whole bunch of people and thought this was the perfect
- 10:34Speaker 2: time to go to Atlantic City.
- 10:36Speaker 6: Yeah, and I can't say who's right or wrong in
- 10:38Speaker 6: any event, But just when you explain that situation, all
- 10:41Speaker 6: all I can see is if I was sitting at
- 10:42Speaker 6: the day is like people standing by standing up, you're
- 10:45Speaker 6: pretty much saying I have something more important to do
- 10:47Speaker 6: than this, the most important moment.
- 10:49Speaker 2: And one hundred percent so. But I did fight for him.
- 10:54Speaker 2: He thinks I didn't fight form enough.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Because but brutal shoots to shoot, fucking brutal animal.
- 11:01Speaker 2: But he was already building building his home studio. He left, Uh,
- 11:05Speaker 2: he got fired. We we talked a little bit, and
- 11:08Speaker 2: there was no conversations in there. Why don't we try
- 11:11Speaker 2: to do this on our own for my new studio.
- 11:14Speaker 2: It never came up well, So for me to get
- 11:17Speaker 2: all the hate for breaking up the ownA show, it's
- 11:19Speaker 2: just simply not true.
- 11:20Speaker 4: I could see if you didn't fight for him.
- 11:22Speaker 6: I could see why though, once again putting myself in
- 11:24Speaker 6: your shoes. If I want, If I wasn't getting along
- 11:27Speaker 6: so great with somebody, this was kind of a natural
- 11:29Speaker 6: way to let you go. Do your own thing from
- 11:31Speaker 6: now on. And who could blame you for feeling that way.
- 11:33Speaker 6: It wasn't you actually blowing the show up. Serious was
- 11:36Speaker 6: doing it for you. So if that did happen what
- 11:38Speaker 6: you're saying, it didn't you fought from I would be like,
- 11:40Speaker 6: I wouldn't fault the guy for doing that.
- 11:43Speaker 2: You know, I fought for all my guys many many times.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Jimmy knows how many times I fought for him. Anthony
- 11:48Speaker 2: knows how many times I fault when me and Anthony
- 11:50Speaker 2: got back. When me and Anthony started and he literally
- 11:54Speaker 2: didn't know anything about this business, he was a quick
- 11:56Speaker 2: learner and really knows what he's doing. You know, I'll
- 11:59Speaker 2: give I'll give props when it's necessary. But when we
- 12:02Speaker 2: moved to Boston, I was the radio guy and he
- 12:04Speaker 2: was in air conditioning, but a natural talent.
- 12:08Speaker 4: It's like break it. I always saw that and was like,
- 12:10Speaker 4: that's amazing.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's why people really could relate to Anthony.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Of course, And then we go up to Boston and
- 12:16Speaker 2: we had this PD Dave Douglas, and he pulled me
- 12:19Speaker 2: and knows this story, pulls me aside and was feeling
- 12:22Speaker 2: me out. He's like, why Anthony in the in the
- 12:25Speaker 2: break room, I go, what do you mean, why Anthony?
- 12:27Speaker 2: You were listening to the show? Why are you even
- 12:28Speaker 2: asking that question? That's ridiculous. But he was feeling me
- 12:31Speaker 2: out because he wanted to get rid of Anthony at
- 12:34Speaker 2: the time. And I went to Bruce Mittman and basically said,
- 12:36Speaker 2: what is Dave Douglass doing? He doesn't see the chemistry
- 12:38Speaker 2: and how this we got a good thing going on here.
- 12:41Speaker 2: But Anthony knows that story, you know, so he knows
- 12:44Speaker 2: I stuck up for him all those Yeah, that's what
- 12:46Speaker 2: the shoots did to me on direct TV.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Audie told me because they were like, he's not right
- 12:50Speaker 1: for it, ish all kinds of shit. But the thing
- 12:53Speaker 1: is like when I had an argument with Audie, the
- 12:56Speaker 1: Finns ganged up with make you know what I mean?
- 12:58Speaker 1: They were like, oh, Audi's a legend. I'm like, why
- 13:01Speaker 1: can't I be? You know what I mean? They're just
- 13:02Speaker 1: fucking ridiculous.
- 13:04Speaker 4: The heroin deals like, shut up, Mike, he's the best customery.
- 13:07Speaker 1: We should have bet early. But yelling and people is
- 13:09Speaker 1: I would want to be yelled at right that people
- 13:12Speaker 1: cut my throat. Yeah, one day I shouldn't get but
- 13:14Speaker 1: I want to hear.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I know I should finish that though, So then I
- 13:17Speaker 2: knew that was one of my issues. I've worked on
- 13:18Speaker 2: a lot of my issues over the years, and I'm like,
- 13:20Speaker 2: you can't yell at anyone anymore. No, everyone just looks
- 13:23Speaker 2: at you like you're a complete other asshole what you're
- 13:26Speaker 2: going through? Yeah, so that that's like, that's really old
- 13:30Speaker 2: news the days when I was kind of, you know,
- 13:32Speaker 2: an asshole to to people around me, because there was
- 13:35Speaker 2: pure frustration. And it's also pure frustration. There was also
- 13:38Speaker 2: pure frustration that I was the one that had had
- 13:41Speaker 2: to deal with all that crap.
- 13:43Speaker 4: At the end of the day, your name's on the show,
- 13:45Speaker 4: it's coming back. So I get that.
- 13:47Speaker 2: But I'll say this, you know, and then we can
- 13:49Speaker 2: move on to other things. I wish those guys nothing
- 13:52Speaker 2: but the best. You know. I've taken some shots here
- 13:53Speaker 2: and there, of course, because you know, I get an
- 13:56Speaker 2: avalanche of hate coming from uh, coming from coming from honestly,
- 14:01Speaker 2: coming from Anthony. If you told me all these years
- 14:04Speaker 2: later that that the majority of the hate toward me
- 14:09Speaker 2: would be coming from the guy that we did a
- 14:11Speaker 2: radio show together, I would say you're insane.
- 14:14Speaker 4: You were quiet for the longest.
- 14:16Speaker 6: I remember thinking, like, this stuff's coming out from that,
- 14:18Speaker 6: so why is an Opie saying anything? And then finally,
- 14:20Speaker 6: I guess you felt like you had to say and
- 14:22Speaker 6: you finally said everything that happened, and it's like, oh, hey,
- 14:25Speaker 6: here it all is.
- 14:26Speaker 4: But I heard Jim Mooyton say something one day.
- 14:27Speaker 6: He said, you know, Opie wasn't saying things on the
- 14:29Speaker 6: air about it, but that's why a lot of stuff
- 14:31Speaker 6: that ever came out out about how he was behind
- 14:34Speaker 6: the scenes.
- 14:35Speaker 2: So what I'm Jimmy was no treat behind the scenes.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Anthony was no treat behind the scenes.
- 14:40Speaker 1: They know.
- 14:41Speaker 2: I mean, I don't want to go. I don't want
- 14:42Speaker 2: to I mean, we already went into the mud. But
- 14:44Speaker 2: I mean, you know, the fact is mostly hate's coming
- 14:47Speaker 2: from over there. I respond when I have to, but
- 14:50Speaker 2: I'm I'm just moving on. I know the Open Anthony
- 14:52Speaker 2: Show is really important to a lot of people. Yeah,
- 14:57Speaker 2: I understand that, and I take that very seriously. But
- 14:59Speaker 2: I also like living in the in the present, which
- 15:02Speaker 2: I'm doing now. And for some reason, you know, other
- 15:05Speaker 2: people associate with the radio show just they don't They
- 15:08Speaker 2: just don't want to let it go, you know, or
- 15:10Speaker 2: we'll let me ask.
- 15:10Speaker 4: You these questions open and I thank you for taking
- 15:12Speaker 4: the questions.
- 15:13Speaker 6: It's only because not that you're talking about anybody right now,
- 15:16Speaker 6: it's as a fan.
- 15:17Speaker 4: Hey, this is questions as a fan. Sometimes you had comics.
- 15:19Speaker 6: Come on and other people who are familiar with the
- 15:21Speaker 6: show who got to talk about this thought.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Yeah, this is kind of what the fans wanting on.
- 15:24Speaker 4: It's awesome that we all get to talk about it.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Well, thanks for nothing, Sale, No, I don't mind talking
- 15:29Speaker 2: about But I also, like, you know, I just want
- 15:32Speaker 2: to move on, you know, I just want.
- 15:34Speaker 1: To have to because you know why, that's the only
- 15:37Speaker 1: way things is going to change, because like well, I
- 15:39Speaker 1: also hate the people that say, well, you know, they're they're.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Fighting with each I'm not fighting with anybody like every
- 15:47Speaker 2: on a regular basis. They're taking shots at me. And
- 15:49Speaker 2: every once in a while I'll comment.
- 15:53Speaker 1: The media people. I hate social media because the only
- 15:56Speaker 1: thing I really like having a cell phone, right sweater,
- 16:00Speaker 1: Facebook of full of fucking morons, the rasholes. They're fucking
- 16:04Speaker 1: Twitter warriors, you know what I mean. If you got
- 16:06Speaker 1: them in the house they live in the same basement.
- 16:09Speaker 1: I am asking abom ice stream money.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Well, I said it on an earlier podcast, like fighting
- 16:13Speaker 2: with someone on Twitter is like fighting a ghost.
- 16:16Speaker 1: You just you know you're right. I want to lunder
- 16:19Speaker 1: of them, kill them in the house.
- 16:21Speaker 2: And they love hearing this, but it is the truth.
- 16:23Speaker 3: You will never win.
- 16:26Speaker 2: If you take on a hater, you will never win.
- 16:28Speaker 2: They'll they'll win everything them down though, you know what
- 16:31Speaker 2: I mean. One reason why the win is because they'll
- 16:33Speaker 2: just simply just lie and make all sorts of ship
- 16:36Speaker 2: about you and which you know is not true. And
- 16:38Speaker 2: you're like, huh, I can't. I can't compete with that ship.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Sof'll we move on from the stuff. Can ask you
- 16:43Speaker 4: one question?
- 16:43Speaker 1: Yes?
- 16:44Speaker 3: All right?
- 16:45Speaker 6: So when you left and then jim and Sam took
- 16:50Speaker 6: over the morning show, right, you said that they that
- 16:52Speaker 6: they fucked you. They claim no, it just was the
- 16:54Speaker 6: natural progression of things.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Was it.
- 16:57Speaker 6: Did they really do anything? Because I don't know, but
- 16:58Speaker 6: did they really do anything to usurp your position and
- 17:01Speaker 6: take it?
- 17:02Speaker 2: Me and Jimmy had the same agent at the time,
- 17:04Speaker 2: so was it your agent's fuck up? I wasn't happy
- 17:07Speaker 2: that he was also representing the show that was replacing me,
- 17:12Speaker 2: and uh yeah, there was some dirty ship that was happening.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Absolutely if you.
- 17:15Speaker 6: Were in their position, and you were them, and then
- 17:17Speaker 6: they came to you and said, we can give you
- 17:19Speaker 6: the morning show.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Would you have taken it? What could they have done different?
- 17:24Speaker 2: What could they have done?
- 17:25Speaker 4: But I liked you better in the afternoon.
- 17:26Speaker 6: I love that that version of the show was great afternoon,
- 17:30Speaker 6: better in the morning in the morning, But go ahead,
- 17:33Speaker 6: So what would you have done different?
- 17:35Speaker 2: If you were them? I would have never been in
- 17:37Speaker 2: that position because I was tight with the company. I
- 17:39Speaker 2: would have figured something else out because they could have
- 17:41Speaker 2: simply done any other shift on the on the channel.
- 17:44Speaker 2: The whole channel was wide open. They didn't need to
- 17:47Speaker 2: do that. And it's a terrible position to be and
- 17:48Speaker 2: because you know, you got to compete against Howard and
- 17:51Speaker 2: everyone else. And I honestly, I honestly don't have serious anymore.
- 17:55Speaker 2: But I don't hear any buzz on the show.
- 17:57Speaker 4: I almost didn't have serious anymore. I saw the charge
- 17:59Speaker 4: of mean twenty a.
- 18:00Speaker 6: Month now, really, So I called up and I was like, hey,
- 18:02Speaker 6: you fighted Anthony, then you fight open.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Officially they let me go. You'll let after after a year,
- 18:10Speaker 2: I settled all differences with.
- 18:12Speaker 6: Serious excise congrats, And then I said, and then you
- 18:14Speaker 6: fired Nick Apollo. You literally have nobody I want to
- 18:17Speaker 6: listen to anymore except Jim and Sam. I'm not paying
- 18:20Speaker 6: twenty buck bucks a fucking months for that to cancel me.
- 18:22Speaker 6: And then they broke me down to fin dollars of it.
- 18:25Speaker 2: I don't know what sal is talking about. I don't
- 18:28Speaker 2: know anything, but I want to see the scar they
- 18:30Speaker 2: gave me, the scar from Planet of the Apes. Mike,
- 18:35Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I'm doing okay. I'm having a good time to do here.
- 18:38Speaker 1: It's just fun because I want I want to hammers
- 18:41Speaker 1: from fucking idiot Trillia I.
- 18:45Speaker 2: And how you doing after your heart attack? Good?
- 18:47Speaker 1: It feels good to be still here.
- 18:49Speaker 2: I was also blamed for your heart attack, by the way,
- 18:51Speaker 2: Why no you know what of people having you know,
- 18:54Speaker 2: to just continue? Why because he did the Dorido Super Bowl.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Commercial and had nothing to do with you, generalized they no.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Know what happened? Was God, God bless him? Uh club
- 19:06Speaker 1: shoulders said them. He goes, you're gonna have a heart
- 19:09Speaker 1: attack something like that. He goes, you got too much
- 19:12Speaker 1: anger in you. He goes with this, you got it chill.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I loved him. He was a gentul Giathan. He's like, relax, buddy,
- 19:18Speaker 1: take it easy, do some yoga. I'm like, I'm not
- 19:20Speaker 1: a yoga guy, you know. He but he tried to
- 19:23Speaker 1: chill me down. And then, like I said about, I
- 19:26Speaker 1: think like four days later it happened to me.
- 19:27Speaker 2: But you know what, four days after club sort of
- 19:29Speaker 2: Kenny said you were gonna have a heart attack.
- 19:31Speaker 4: You had one.
- 19:31Speaker 1: No, he was like, what do you call it? Relax?
- 19:33Speaker 1: You canna give yourself a stroke?
- 19:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and it happened four days I don't like four
- 19:37Speaker 2: days later, but and walk me through that what happened?
- 19:40Speaker 2: Because I read that. I read it.
- 19:42Speaker 1: What happened?
- 19:42Speaker 2: I read one of the articles out there, and they
- 19:44Speaker 2: basically said, you laid down on the ill anter in
- 19:47Speaker 2: New York City or something and waiting for the paramedics.
- 19:49Speaker 1: That's part of it, Okay. What happened was I did
- 19:54Speaker 1: a show called The Creepy Corner. These guys are real
- 19:57Speaker 1: nice guys. Right coming home from the city, all of
- 20:00Speaker 1: a sudden, I got really super tired like I never
- 20:03Speaker 1: would in my life. Started sweating right now from having
- 20:06Speaker 1: a history of heart disease. I know the symptoms. Right,
- 20:10Speaker 1: all of a sudden, my chest feels like it's on fire.
- 20:15Speaker 1: You can't even move. You say, you can't even moving it? Right,
- 20:19Speaker 1: to grab my phone? Call nine one one, And as
- 20:22Speaker 1: you know it, the phone was acting up a little
- 20:24Speaker 1: bit more. I'm calling nine one one. I'm like, oh no, right,
- 20:28Speaker 1: So I called Ninemen one, I said him. At thirty
- 20:30Speaker 1: fifth and sixth Avenue, right, I was laid on a plant.
- 20:34Speaker 1: I was so like so I couldn't even move right.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I get there. We get stuck in traffic, the ambulance
- 20:39Speaker 1: drivers cursing his ass over traffic. I'm laughing my ass.
- 20:43Speaker 1: So I'm trying to keep them the best of it
- 20:45Speaker 1: because I thought it was funny curshoner's ass off in traffic.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Right.
- 20:49Speaker 1: We get there, right, I get inside the thing. I
- 20:53Speaker 1: have a stent right now, right, And I felt when
- 20:57Speaker 1: I put in stent on, the doctor like just went
- 21:01Speaker 1: off of me like they did with Serpico and move
- 21:03Speaker 1: ripping the clothes off, doing it quick because they gotta
- 21:05Speaker 1: act fast.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Right.
- 21:07Speaker 1: And I was in the IC you unit for like
- 21:11Speaker 1: a day, but I see you felt like the Waldorf
- 21:13Speaker 1: Hotel up there like because I was like, well, red red,
- 21:18Speaker 1: red skin potato salmon. I'm like, yeah, hot, hot Asian nurse.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, baby, this is incredible. Right then, when
- 21:27Speaker 1: I got sent to the regular room, I was like,
- 21:28Speaker 1: I felt like I was in the multisection Indiana, Like
- 21:31Speaker 1: they're sending the fucking kitchen staff. See feeling like three
- 21:34Speaker 1: hours later, right, and there's some guy who was an
- 21:37Speaker 1: old Russian guy that was in a lot of pain.
- 21:39Speaker 1: He was screaming his ass off in the middle of
- 21:41Speaker 1: the night. You don't know how close I came to
- 21:43Speaker 1: Luca Roxie and him because you had going help all night.
- 21:47Speaker 1: And I'm an idiot, right I when I got to
- 21:50Speaker 1: the hospital, Oh, I should have Jewish people outside, and
- 21:54Speaker 1: I'm like, I think I died when they see him,
- 21:58Speaker 1: because I'm like, they are gods. Show some people. I'm
- 22:02Speaker 1: like half grocky and I go, wait a minute, I
- 22:05Speaker 1: can't be that because I heard them finding about hospital
- 22:07Speaker 1: building all. So that's idiot that I am. All my
- 22:11Speaker 1: doctors came to see me like a couple of days,
- 22:13Speaker 1: a couple that show I'm feeling, and I shaid him,
- 22:16Speaker 1: my doctor, I knew I was safe because you looked
- 22:19Speaker 1: like Seinfeld right, And I had to realize a couple
- 22:25Speaker 1: of people Yamba's on and they like kind of laughed
- 22:28Speaker 1: and giggled, and I'm thinking they're going to fucking turn
- 22:30Speaker 1: me into a vegetable later on tonight some movie pulling
- 22:35Speaker 1: my plug. And but I kept my composure. I didn't panic.
- 22:40Speaker 1: That's why I'm still here. So I'm back at the ambulance.
- 22:43Speaker 1: You are all these crazy thoughts going through your head.
- 22:45Speaker 1: You're like, I'm thinking to myself, holy crap. In twenty minutes,
- 22:49Speaker 1: I might be playing baseball baby boot for bating practice.
- 22:52Speaker 1: I'm big Dad will be teaching me how to whale
- 22:54Speaker 1: and the guitar, having dinner with mister and missus Lincoln.
- 22:58Speaker 1: I was having all these crazy thoughts like that. For
- 23:00Speaker 1: your head.
- 23:02Speaker 2: I can listen forever. I can listen all day.
- 23:07Speaker 1: And it was incredible because but the thing is, I
- 23:09Speaker 1: said to God, and the thing I go, Look, if
- 23:11Speaker 1: you want to take me back home now, I'm good
- 23:13Speaker 1: with this, you know I should. But if you want
- 23:16Speaker 1: to give me a longer that you can bet it.
- 23:18Speaker 2: But I would appreciate it a little longer.
- 23:20Speaker 1: But it's crazy because the diet changed so much like
- 23:23Speaker 1: when I usually when I when I usually go to
- 23:25Speaker 1: you know, your shell right up and serious. I'd like
- 23:29Speaker 1: have a hot to open a pretzel so to wash
- 23:31Speaker 1: it down. Then I'll come back home with big hair
- 23:33Speaker 1: sandwich like this like a football thing like melted almost
- 23:38Speaker 1: beef mozzarella, and they like put in the oven and
- 23:41Speaker 1: like finish it down like a gallon of selda, you
- 23:44Speaker 1: know what I mean. They're like and the onether oneies
- 23:46Speaker 1: are like this is what my arteries were, right club
- 23:50Speaker 1: one hundred seventy and thirty. Geez, that's like almost all
- 23:56Speaker 1: the way through, right right, And I'm like, but everything
- 23:59Speaker 1: is good now. And the thing is once in a
- 24:01Speaker 1: while to lay in bed feel the pain and I'll
- 24:03Speaker 1: be like fill up from the darg to god thro
- 24:05Speaker 1: my garden back there, falling.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Into the fig crate, grabbing, grabbing a fi.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Screaming my acte up going but how puch like a
- 24:15Speaker 1: really like theatric attack, but like I twelve and I'm
- 24:18Speaker 1: screaming like vitle.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Well there's give me. It'll be different though. You're laying
- 24:22Speaker 2: on the ground with a fig next to you, and
- 24:23Speaker 2: that yip, your dog's gonna be yipping around your body
- 24:25Speaker 2: should be like checking my thought, fright, having my wi
- 24:30Speaker 2: wondering where its steak is. I picked up.
- 24:33Speaker 6: I met Mike today outside of his house. But we'll
- 24:35Speaker 6: get ready for you guys to come down here. And
- 24:37Speaker 6: he goes, let's run to the deli to get some
- 24:38Speaker 6: waters and stuff for the guys. And he's like, it's
- 24:41Speaker 6: so hot I couldn't even breathe yesterday. He goes, I
- 24:43Speaker 6: just pictured dying in the garden like Vito, and I
- 24:46Speaker 6: can't remember. Hang on, Mike, Yeah, he's a bit older,
- 24:48Speaker 6: he's had a heart attack. I always forget that, Like
- 24:50Speaker 6: when he comes to my house now that we do
- 24:52Speaker 6: the podcast up in the attic, uh, And my wife
- 24:54Speaker 6: is like, do you realize he's gotta walk up all
- 24:56Speaker 6: these stairs? What if something happens. I give him a
- 24:58Speaker 6: coffee and I just he's He gives.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Me like, great coffee. It's juiced up, like this coffee
- 25:03Speaker 1: if I killed No. No, But the thing is like,
- 25:06Speaker 1: thanks to you, I didn't realize how young my fan
- 25:09Speaker 1: base is. You know what that means in Hollywood, We're
- 25:12Speaker 1: in the money, That's what it means, because.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it looks like you're in the money.
- 25:15Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no, no, but in the long
- 25:18Speaker 1: room you think about it, right, Shao could be my
- 25:20Speaker 1: shock super young, right. All his friends are in their
- 25:23Speaker 1: twenties and.
- 25:24Speaker 3: They know me.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Thanks you listening. My fan base is super young comics
- 25:29Speaker 1: my age. You're going shopping for lawn furniture.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Sure, and I think you share a fan base with
- 25:33Speaker 2: the Kardashians now that I think about it.
- 25:35Speaker 1: No, no, no, they super I'm serious. I don't care
- 25:39Speaker 1: whoever pays the red?
- 25:42Speaker 2: Do Do you like the black? Yes? Okay, I like
- 25:44Speaker 2: the blacks.
- 25:45Speaker 1: I like blacks, Native Americans, Jewish people cool too, because
- 25:48Speaker 1: that's where the keshole is going to come from. And
- 25:49Speaker 1: then they bullshit from people?
- 25:51Speaker 2: Which group? Are you little? You know? Je I loved that.
- 25:57Speaker 4: I don't care.
- 25:58Speaker 1: I just don't like ashmole.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Oh all right, all right, ah wow?
- 26:03Speaker 4: Life doesn't suffer a bully? He hates bullies?
- 26:05Speaker 1: Well, I would like to take bullies and fucking smash
- 26:07Speaker 1: them in the ground and then she leave them there.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Well that makes sense. I mean, no one actually likes
- 26:14Speaker 2: a bully, you know, no.
- 26:15Speaker 1: But the thing is, but there's different levels of bullies,
- 26:17Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Like when we went to school,
- 26:20Speaker 1: our generations people are like because like if you got
- 26:22Speaker 1: into fight with somebody that and you just fucking popped
- 26:24Speaker 1: them in the nose and was done, right, you tell
- 26:26Speaker 1: it to somebody twenty something years old now, like, oh
- 26:28Speaker 1: my god, pop them in the nose, give them a
- 26:30Speaker 1: time out and taking them a fucking dumping donuts, you
- 26:32Speaker 1: know what I mean? And not like they don't get it,
- 26:34Speaker 1: you know?
- 26:35Speaker 2: Right? All right, Mike, I think I think we did it.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I'm so excited.
- 26:40Speaker 2: I wish we did it. Between the door of the
- 26:42Speaker 2: house and sitting down and having salad drilled me like
- 26:47Speaker 2: that was a full blown interrogation myself.
- 26:48Speaker 1: I always shay it Shall has a military mind different
- 26:53Speaker 1: than other people.
- 26:54Speaker 2: I didn't mind anything, trust me. So, but I hope
- 26:57Speaker 2: you like my idea because you know what, I think
- 26:59Speaker 2: there could be something, yeah, where you travel the country
- 27:01Speaker 2: even though you can walk up a flight stairs. The
- 27:03Speaker 2: podcast with Sally, Yeah, I think it's a great. No.
- 27:05Speaker 1: When it comes to cash, I'll figging do cot wheels,
- 27:09Speaker 1: of course.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Can I say.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Something and it's gonna be really really gay, all right, Mike?
- 27:12Speaker 4: Can you handle this?
- 27:13Speaker 7: Uh?
- 27:14Speaker 6: As a fan and then started doing comedy, My dream
- 27:17Speaker 6: is I was like, one day I will sit and
- 27:19Speaker 6: I will do radio on Opie show.
- 27:21Speaker 5: Hey South, guess what not the radio podcast?
- 27:26Speaker 4: And look at this dream came. I'm telling the panamic.
- 27:29Speaker 1: But he's a huge fan forever. That's why I bought him.
- 27:32Speaker 4: Yet I told my boss this said, my wife's pregnant
- 27:34Speaker 4: and diabetic. I gotta take her to the doctor. And
- 27:36Speaker 4: he said, you do that, and here I am.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Okay. I do have to say to the fan base,
- 27:41Speaker 2: the old fan base, you know, I just wish everyone
- 27:43Speaker 2: would just kind of get on the same page a
- 27:45Speaker 2: little bit, want to and just enjoy you know what
- 27:49Speaker 2: we were able to accomplish.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Reality.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're not gonna have me as a as
- 27:56Speaker 2: a big participant in it. I'm moving on and just
- 27:59Speaker 2: trying to I even I even wish Jimmy and Anthony
- 28:04Speaker 2: the best. Yeah, you know, I mean whatever, maybe some
- 28:07Speaker 2: day we'll sit down.
- 28:07Speaker 6: I don't worried you weren't going to start doing this again.
- 28:09Speaker 6: When you took a little while to get back.
- 28:11Speaker 2: It was tough. It was tough. I went through, Uh,
- 28:14Speaker 2: I went through some tough times. A year ago. I
- 28:16Speaker 2: was shocked when they let me go. It started out
- 28:19Speaker 2: as a firing. Now it's officially to let go. I
- 28:23Speaker 2: was wandering around for three months completely and utterly lost,
- 28:25Speaker 2: because that's all I know how to do. And then
- 28:27Speaker 2: I had a kind of now I'm gonna sound a little.
- 28:31Speaker 2: I had to kind of find myself a little bit,
- 28:33Speaker 2: you know. So that's why I was doing a lot
- 28:34Speaker 2: of fishing. That's why my social media was basically it
- 28:39Speaker 2: was it's like it's it's kind of meditative. You should
- 28:42Speaker 2: look at the meditation, Mike. And then I kind of
- 28:45Speaker 2: got myself together with people that I really do care about,
- 28:48Speaker 2: my wife and my friends and uh and and family
- 28:51Speaker 2: and and then and then this opportunity presented itself, and
- 28:55Speaker 2: I knew it was time to get back into this
- 28:56Speaker 2: and radio.
- 28:57Speaker 6: You get fired a few times. It happens as a copperer.
- 28:59Speaker 6: I get laiter of every go, maybe twice a year.
- 29:01Speaker 6: And I know when I come home and tell my
- 29:03Speaker 6: wife I'm laid off, she gets very nervous until I
- 29:06Speaker 6: get another job.
- 29:07Speaker 4: I was always wondering when you would get laid off.
- 29:08Speaker 6: You had when I'm fired, or you had these little
- 29:10Speaker 6: stints in between two you got the next gig, was
- 29:12Speaker 6: your wife like ever like worried, like, uh, you know
- 29:14Speaker 6: what I mean.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Like, as a man, I have to provide, so I
- 29:16Speaker 4: would always get scared in those moments.
- 29:18Speaker 2: No, you have a worried or No, my wife couldn't
- 29:20Speaker 2: be cooler. She knows. I don't even you know. Radio
- 29:23Speaker 2: doesn't define me anymore. There was a time it really
- 29:25Speaker 2: really did. And she's like, we'll be fine no matter what.
- 29:28Speaker 2: She knows I like doing this, but she's no, she
- 29:30Speaker 2: didn't care in the in the very least. She was
- 29:32Speaker 2: only with me for one firing. I've been fired. I
- 29:34Speaker 2: don't God, I don't even know anymore with three or
- 29:37Speaker 2: four times.
- 29:38Speaker 1: But I always knew we've been flying.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I always knew that there was another gig around
- 29:43Speaker 2: the corner. But this last time, when serious let me
- 29:46Speaker 2: go a year ago, I was just playing exhausted and needed.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Yeah there's one question.
- 29:53Speaker 1: Yeah, do you ever have Shim Kennison on the show?
- 29:56Speaker 2: Dude, I do this because of Sam kitt Is in
- 29:59Speaker 2: you No, no, no, but hear me out because it's
- 30:03Speaker 2: kind of a good story. So I have my mentors.
- 30:06Speaker 3: Brother.
- 30:07Speaker 2: We's in Rochester. He you know when I heard him
- 30:09Speaker 2: coming through the speakers. He's a guy that's a legend
- 30:13Speaker 2: in Rochester radio and known in my business big time.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, he's seventy years old and he's just
- 30:20Speaker 2: an animal. He drinks tequila with wine. This guy's an
- 30:24Speaker 2: animal for real, as he has so much energy. I
- 30:26Speaker 2: listened to him every morning thanks to iHeartRadio that you
- 30:29Speaker 2: know through their app. But so I was doing radio
- 30:33Speaker 2: the kind of the traditional witch, working on my voice
- 30:36Speaker 2: and having those golden pipes, which I never officially got,
- 30:39Speaker 2: and I'm like, but I also found it to be
- 30:41Speaker 2: kind of stupid.
- 30:42Speaker 3: But I was young and.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Still trying to figure it out. And two things happened.
- 30:45Speaker 2: I was in my fraternity house in Geneseo and someone
- 30:47Speaker 2: was playing Brother Weis' show, and I'm like, what the
- 30:49Speaker 2: fuck is this voice coming through the speakers.
- 30:51Speaker 1: It was a terrible voice, rash being and it was
- 30:54Speaker 1: almost like he couldn't right.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Well, and but what he was saying was amazing and
- 30:59Speaker 2: it was way better than all these other guys with
- 31:01Speaker 2: the policies, with the polished voices. So that was the
- 31:04Speaker 2: first thing. I'm like, wait a minute, you could do
- 31:06Speaker 2: this very differently. You could be more yourself on the radio.
- 31:09Speaker 2: And then, as luck would have it, I ended up
- 31:11Speaker 2: moving to Rochester and I worked for WCMF at the time,
- 31:14Speaker 2: where Weez was and We's took me under his wing.
- 31:17Speaker 2: I'm like, now I'm hanging with the guy. This is crazy.
- 31:20Speaker 2: And then he was friends with Sam Kinnison. Sam Kinnison
- 31:22Speaker 2: came in and he hung out for like. He came
- 31:25Speaker 2: in a few times over the years, but the one
- 31:27Speaker 2: time he stayed for three days and it was just
- 31:30Speaker 2: like four hours of Sam Kinnison and Weez on the radio.
- 31:33Speaker 2: I was just a young kid. I got to be
- 31:35Speaker 2: in the studio up on a cabinet way up near
- 31:38Speaker 2: the ceiling with a little video camera. I wish I
- 31:40Speaker 2: could find the video by the way, I love Yeah.
- 31:44Speaker 2: So the point is though I heard Sam Kinnison and
- 31:47Speaker 2: I threw everything I knew out out the window. I'm like,
- 31:50Speaker 2: this guy is not following any formats. He doesn't care
- 31:53Speaker 2: who he's pissing off. He's just speaking, you know, whatever's
- 31:56Speaker 2: in his head at the moment. And I'm like, that's
- 31:59Speaker 2: what I want to do. I'm not trying to say
- 32:01Speaker 2: I'm funny like Sam Kinnison, but but his style and
- 32:04Speaker 2: how he didn't give two shot so between and but
- 32:09Speaker 2: That was one of those moments where a light went
- 32:11Speaker 2: off in my head. I'm like, I'm doing it all wrong.
- 32:13Speaker 2: And I started to kind of take a page from
- 32:15Speaker 2: his book as far as that stuff goes, and then
- 32:18Speaker 2: continue to think. Waez is just God to.
- 32:20Speaker 4: Make and that's what you taught me about great radio.
- 32:22Speaker 4: Don't put on the fake voice. No, always be real.
- 32:25Speaker 6: And sometimes you gotta piss the establishment off a little
- 32:28Speaker 6: bit because then the fans are on your side. Then
- 32:29Speaker 6: you have power, you know, Yeah, which your last let
- 32:34Speaker 6: go right?
- 32:35Speaker 4: I wouldn't.
- 32:35Speaker 2: I would.
- 32:36Speaker 6: I thought I was gonna ask you, like, do you
- 32:37Speaker 6: regret taking the video? But I'm not because we all
- 32:39Speaker 6: do stupid shit. What I want to ask you is
- 32:41Speaker 6: like being a construction worker. There's two things I do,
- 32:43Speaker 6: comedy and construction. We're at work in the workplace. The
- 32:46Speaker 6: only place is we shit on each other all day
- 32:48Speaker 6: for fun. Right now, I know what level I could
- 32:51Speaker 6: go to with different guys at work because we really
- 32:52Speaker 6: racial shit, how we look homosexual jokes, and we love it.
- 32:56Speaker 6: It's it's love, you know. Now, if one of them
- 32:58Speaker 6: turned around and got me in trouble, I would be shocked.
- 33:01Speaker 6: When you got in trouble from Roland. Were you like,
- 33:04Speaker 6: oh my god, I thought we were cool, Like this
- 33:06Speaker 6: is kind of trial. Did you feel that way?
- 33:08Speaker 2: This Seal guy is really smart. That's exactly why I
- 33:11Speaker 2: was just devastating because I'm like, you know, he was
- 33:14Speaker 2: one of our guys in our inner circle. I hired
- 33:16Speaker 2: the guy, and he hung out with us all the time.
- 33:19Speaker 2: I mean, you know, besides the radio show, we would
- 33:21Speaker 2: hang out a lot after the show, before the show.
- 33:24Speaker 4: How tight he was with the man Cuban, So like,
- 33:27Speaker 4: now he just got the Cuban off the I think in.
- 33:29Speaker 2: A way he was jealous of me and Carl started
- 33:32Speaker 2: getting close to Cuban, but we kind of but we
- 33:35Speaker 2: were kind of aware.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Of that, so we weren't.
- 33:37Speaker 2: We try to include him and he was already included,
- 33:40Speaker 2: but just make sure he was cool, you know what
- 33:42Speaker 2: I'm saying. So yeah, that day in the bathroom, which,
- 33:46Speaker 2: by the way, you know the video it's just a
- 33:48Speaker 2: g rated video whatever. Uh. Yeah, I was completely shocked
- 33:51Speaker 2: because I was never gonna post it unless he told
- 33:53Speaker 2: me the thing was really funny, and it was so funny,
- 33:56Speaker 2: we're laughing our asses off. I showed Rolling the video
- 33:59Speaker 2: and he was even laughing, and I asked him, I
- 34:02Speaker 2: go roll and kind of posted. He said no, I'm like,
- 34:05Speaker 2: And then next thing I know, the guy's avoiding me
- 34:08Speaker 2: at work and I don't see him anymore. And then
- 34:11Speaker 2: I happen to go to another bathroom because the bathroom
- 34:14Speaker 2: I was in, I don't know for what. I went upstairs.
- 34:17Speaker 2: I forget why there was another bathroom upstairs that no
- 34:20Speaker 2: one really went to. And he was coming out of
- 34:22Speaker 2: there and I'm like, and I go, hey, roll, his
- 34:24Speaker 2: first time I saw him since the incident. Literally he
- 34:27Speaker 2: said that to me and kept walking. I'm like, what
- 34:30Speaker 2: is going on?
- 34:30Speaker 4: Manage replied, don't use that other bathroom anymore.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Yeah, So next thing, you know, you know, it becomes
- 34:36Speaker 2: this whole thing.
- 34:36Speaker 4: You didn't realize that would be over the line with
- 34:38Speaker 4: Tim personally.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, not not not for a moment.
- 34:42Speaker 4: Do you think he had just out for you? Then, like,
- 34:43Speaker 4: this is where I can get open.
- 34:45Speaker 2: You're gonna have to ask him.
- 34:46Speaker 4: I can't figure out why you would.
- 34:48Speaker 2: You could ask him a lot of people out of
- 34:50Speaker 2: work you can ask him, So.
- 34:53Speaker 4: You can ask fans. I got asked the questions.
- 34:55Speaker 2: So the thing is that you know, you are obviously
- 35:00Speaker 2: a fan of the radio show. All the stuff we
- 35:02Speaker 2: did over the years on air, off air, in bathrooms,
- 35:05Speaker 2: outside everywhere. Right, that was? That was? That was, that was,
- 35:10Speaker 2: And I'm not trashed in the company because, like I said,
- 35:12Speaker 2: we have settled everything. It took a year.
- 35:15Speaker 6: And which choice did they have if somebody does complain
- 35:17Speaker 6: about that kind of thing, which choice do they.
- 35:19Speaker 4: Have in this culture?
- 35:20Speaker 2: Sure? Right, in this culture, they probably had to take
- 35:24Speaker 2: rollings complain very seriously. I could kind of see it
- 35:26Speaker 2: that way. But I also know what happened that day
- 35:29Speaker 2: in the bathroom. There was nothing that was worth going
- 35:31Speaker 2: to anyone about.
- 35:32Speaker 4: It, which I could see that video.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Well, I know when I first met you, guys do
- 35:38Speaker 1: not even know in the radio, shouldn't you at the
- 35:41Speaker 1: garden when you guys work with entroduce Clay.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I just told that story on the podcast the other day.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I love Dice forever. I met him a couple of times.
- 35:50Speaker 1: The first time I met him, he was kind of
- 35:51Speaker 1: knucklehead to make. I met him the Caroline and he
- 35:53Speaker 1: was like, you know what, Florantine introdution ME goes, sure
- 35:58Speaker 1: you were comic? Pret am I supposed to do about that?
- 36:00Speaker 1: I was like, for years, I was a huge fan
- 36:02Speaker 1: of his. I'm like, what a knucklehead he is. Right then,
- 36:05Speaker 1: I seen him like on Brewis radio show. Right then
- 36:09Speaker 1: he became a friendly to me. But then when he
- 36:11Speaker 1: was an audio show with me, he said one of
- 36:13Speaker 1: the best things I could ever hear as a comic.
- 36:15Speaker 1: He goes, I've been watching I watched show all night.
- 36:18Speaker 1: He goes, I'm a huge span of yours now, wow,
- 36:21Speaker 1: which is like, I love him as a parson.
- 36:23Speaker 2: I've lost touch with him a little bit over the years,
- 36:25Speaker 2: but he's a good guy. Is awesome.
- 36:27Speaker 1: He's a good family man. Because he was telling us that,
- 36:30Speaker 1: like people are like, you know, where'd you go for
- 36:32Speaker 1: all these years when he took time off, he goes,
- 36:34Speaker 1: I took time off to raise my son right then.
- 36:36Speaker 2: And their sons are very talented music. Check out their stuff.
- 36:40Speaker 2: It's amazing.
- 36:40Speaker 1: He's just the regular guy like you are. And the
- 36:42Speaker 1: thing is, everybody thinks they gave him a hard time
- 36:45Speaker 1: at night, so I righte it wrong you of course right,
- 36:47Speaker 1: the suits hated him, but you know what the bottom
- 36:49Speaker 1: line in his edge, your fans will kick the doors open. Yeah,
- 36:53Speaker 1: the suits are sucking and unnecessary evil, and he put
- 36:55Speaker 1: me on that Madison Square garden seat. I'll never I
- 36:58Speaker 1: remember that.
- 36:59Speaker 2: I was freaked out just telling the story the other day,
- 37:01Speaker 2: so I don't need to tell it again.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Dash. I loved it. I came there. Jim Flanda invited
- 37:05Speaker 1: me to come and show you those guys, right, So
- 37:08Speaker 1: what happened was they shuck down in the front sheets
- 37:11Speaker 1: to go shippled ups, right, and I was a goody
- 37:13Speaker 1: two shoes and the cop came and goes, you don't
- 37:15Speaker 1: belong to goo. Let me go back to the note
- 37:17Speaker 1: leap section.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Show nice. All right, I'm gonna leave.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Mike.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Is that all right? No? No, for sal really starts attacking.
- 37:26Speaker 4: Yeah, could we can we do what? Can we get
- 37:28Speaker 4: some plugs?
- 37:29Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 37:29Speaker 4: Yeah, that's okay. Could you can you tell me do
- 37:31Speaker 4: your plugs like you went on you on your radio?
- 37:35Speaker 2: Yeah? What do you guys want to plug? Plug? The podcast?

- 38:16Speaker 2: you know, I'm trying to eat better myself there, Mikey,
- 38:19Speaker 2: you know, are you sure? Guys?
- 38:20Speaker 1: I mean those are in bed, well.
- 38:22Speaker 2: They're veggie chips, pretzels and the white chet.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Doesn't mean Mickey could be communist, you know, well my

- 38:30Speaker 2: Little kids actually eat those veggie chips. Oh, there's the dog.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Of course. The dog is yapping. Of course it wants
