- 0:00Speaker 1: If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save
- 0:03Speaker 1: time and tap the breset button. Now.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Now back to the Mark Simon show on wor.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Well, the Knicks baraide continues, and uh, look, I throw
- 0:14Speaker 1: it a little late. But once they get the city Hall,
- 0:16Speaker 1: they start the big ceremony. We'll bring that to you
- 0:19Speaker 1: live here, and we'll get a lot of listeners around
- 0:21Speaker 1: the country. And you go, what, Nicks. It's like, you
- 0:24Speaker 1: have no idea. You have to be here. It's like
- 0:26Speaker 1: this sweep in the city. They got these big stores
- 0:29Speaker 1: that sell all the Knicks hats and the merchandise. You
- 0:32Speaker 1: have to wait mine two three hours just to get
- 0:34Speaker 1: in the store. It's Nick fever. It's unlike anything in
- 0:37Speaker 1: sports I've ever seen in New York. Let's take some calls.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Let's go to uh Robert in Westchester. Robert, how you
- 0:43Speaker 1: doing all right?
- 0:45Speaker 2: Mark? And good morning Mark. With the Iranian agreement, the
- 0:48Speaker 2: one thing that stands out that makes me uneasy is
- 0:52Speaker 2: the Irenians insistent, well, we can dig up the nuclear dust,
- 0:56Speaker 2: but they want it destroyed on site.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Well that's better. That's better for us too. That's the
- 1:01Speaker 1: way we like to do it.
- 1:03Speaker 2: I the only thing I hope Mark is that our
- 1:05Speaker 2: military will be there to protect those technicians. That's all.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Yeah, we've done it before, We've we're pretty good at this.
- 1:12Speaker 1: We've we've done it before. It's it's easy, but don't
- 1:17Speaker 1: bring it back subadly, you're an expert on nuclear dust
- 1:20Speaker 1: and how to destroy it. Now we can, we can.
- 1:23Speaker 1: We can transport it back and destroy it here, but
- 1:27Speaker 1: they prefer that we destroy it right there. It's a
- 1:29Speaker 1: lot safer, obviously than trying to transport it back. And
- 1:33Speaker 1: the last time we had to do this was when
- 1:34Speaker 1: Kadafi gave up all his nuclear dust in Libya. We
- 1:38Speaker 1: got special teams that go in and destroy it right there.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Transporting it is a nightmare. I mean, we can do it,
- 1:43Speaker 1: but you don't want to.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Have to do that. Yeah, I agree.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I just want to listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. Leave
- 1:49Speaker 1: this to the experts. Let them take care of this.
- 1:52Speaker 2: I'm just worried about our people, that's.
- 1:54Speaker 1: All I know. But we've already been on the ground
- 1:56Speaker 1: in this particular conflict twice already. Remember we had rescue
- 2:00Speaker 1: the two pilots separately. We sent in ground troops, we
- 2:04Speaker 1: built an air base in there, we're able to protect them.
- 2:08Speaker 1: The way they do it is it's pretty easy for
- 2:13Speaker 1: the military. They wherever they're gonna be. Let's say they're
- 2:17Speaker 1: gonna site where they're going to destroy the nuclear dust,
- 2:19Speaker 1: they draw a two mile circle around that area, and
- 2:23Speaker 1: then they surround that two mile circle with everything, airplanes, drones,
- 2:30Speaker 1: and they call it the circle of death. Anybody enters
- 2:32Speaker 1: that circle, they're killed instantly. That's what we did when
- 2:35Speaker 1: we rescued the pilots. They set up that circle of death.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Remember that pilot rescue, the one that was up in
- 2:41Speaker 1: the mountains. We went in there and built an air base,
- 2:44Speaker 1: a temporary air base. We brought in planes, helicopters, all
- 2:47Speaker 1: kinds of equipment, and they had to be there on
- 2:50Speaker 1: the ground operating like that for almost a whole day.
- 2:53Speaker 1: But we set up that two mile circle around them.
- 2:55Speaker 1: That perimeter protected it and shot anybody that tried to
- 2:59Speaker 1: come into it. They're pretty good, actually, they're perfect at
- 3:03Speaker 1: removing nuclear material, destroying it on site. Let's go to
- 3:07Speaker 1: Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark, Good morning Mara. It's a real sign
- 3:12Speaker 3: of the times. As Mike pointed out that practically all
- 3:16Speaker 3: of Lower Manhattan, the subways, the streets are closed. Fifty
- 3:20Speaker 3: years ago before there was radical nut job leftist terrorism
- 3:26Speaker 3: and Islamic terrorism, that wasn't necessary. They closed where it's
- 3:31Speaker 3: the start, the staging area was for the people in
- 3:34Speaker 3: the parade, and the end and that was that people
- 3:36Speaker 3: were allowed to go to the work. That's the sign
- 3:39Speaker 3: of the times. I heard you speak early about how Obama,
- 3:43Speaker 3: the Obama people from the Obama are stiff and all
- 3:46Speaker 3: the contractors and everything they're not getting their money. Because
- 3:50Speaker 3: I'll put money if any of these contractors put in
- 3:54Speaker 3: file a civil complaint, a civil suit that they weren't paid,
- 3:58Speaker 3: all of Obama's crown in that state and in that
- 4:02Speaker 3: city will go look up the nose of all these
- 4:05Speaker 3: contractors to find any bit of dirt and put them
- 4:11Speaker 3: on the hook.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Mark.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Something has to be like we saw Saturday night when
- 4:17Speaker 3: they lit that school bus on fire, who's going to
- 4:20Speaker 3: be responsible for paying out one hundred and fifty thousand
- 4:24Speaker 3: dollars for that school bus? And even if they caught
- 4:27Speaker 3: the person, Alvin Bragg is going to let them go,
- 4:30Speaker 3: or even if there was a sham frial, some corrupt
- 4:34Speaker 3: Manhattan judge is going to let them go. Mark, it
- 4:37Speaker 3: would be great, and I hope he's working on it.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Donald Trump, the Justice Department, in the Judicial Department look
- 4:45Speaker 3: into all these corrupt SOB judges and they gotta be
- 4:50Speaker 3: Something's got to be done because that bus company should
- 4:54Speaker 3: not be on the hook and we shouldn't have to
- 4:57Speaker 3: go through all these shenanigans that we're still going through
- 5:02Speaker 3: in the city because of people like Bondami, these two
- 5:05Speaker 3: other creeps he's trying to get elected, these two creepy
- 5:09Speaker 3: women and album Bragg Marg.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, well, Vincent, great call as always, thanks
- 5:14Speaker 1: for calling. Hey, We're gonna take a break for the news,
- 5:19Speaker 1: get caught up on everything, and then we're gonna be
- 5:23Speaker 1: The parade is running a little late, we're gonna cover that,
- 5:26Speaker 1: and then we're gonna bring you live. The whole ceremony
- 5:30Speaker 1: from a city hall should be pretty exciting. That's where
- 5:32Speaker 1: the players will speak and get the awards, and Alicia
- 5:35Speaker 1: Keys will perform live. It's gonna be pretty good. But
- 5:37Speaker 1: we're all set up to cover it live. You'll be
- 5:39Speaker 1: able to hear it all right here on seven to
- 5:42Speaker 1: ten wor
