- 0:00I tell women all the time that that every door that God opens,
- 0:04he closes some and we couldn't, we can't understand why, but
- 0:07then he puts us in other places and the door opens and here's a
- 0:11divine plan. And I tell people all the time
- 0:14to make sure you're listening enough to God and not your.
- 0:19We talked about that in Proverbs about trust the Lord with all
- 0:22your heart. Lean not into your
- 0:24understanding. Take out at him and you direct
- 0:28your path. Well, look, he directs our path.
- 0:31Sometimes we're off the we're off the path.
- 0:34So he has to close the door to make a shift and go back where
- 0:37we are supposed to be because that's where your blessings are.
- 0:41That's that's where your Kairos moment is.
- 0:43That's where the doors open for you is when we allow God's
- 0:47present Holy Spirit to speak into our lives and listen
- 0:52instead of talking studying on prayer a couple of days ago and
- 0:57and I shared it with one of my classes and I was saying this
- 1:00prayers communication and that's a two way St.
- 1:04We can't say we prayed if we didn't let God talk.
- 1:08So where we asked? Yes, one mouth for a reason.

- 4:07Ladies and gentlemen, you once again welcome to the Kingdom's
- 4:10podcast. And today I'm going to meet a
- 4:12very, very special guest fighting out of all of bomber
- 4:17United States of America, America.
- 4:20Doctor Iver Rod, how are you, Doctor?
- 4:29I am wonderful and I'm under honoured to be on your podcast
- 4:33today. It's just been an adventure and
- 4:37I've enjoyed every moment of it. Oh, wow.
- 4:39I love and respect to you. Love and respect to you.
- 4:42Yeah. Yvette Rice.
- 4:46I know people have made that joke with your name, a lot of
- 4:49rice. But I still eat rice today,
- 4:51earlier today. So we cannot do without rice.
- 4:57My last name, I rejoiced at it first I wondered about it when I
- 5:01got married to my husband, but the word that word rice, if you
- 5:04think about it, that is a food substance that is used all over
- 5:08the world to feed exactly. And from a divine standpoint of
- 5:14where God has aligned my life here I am I feed people all over
- 5:18the world the word of God, which feeds the soul.
- 5:21So there's a reason everyone's name and I'm even though now in
- 5:25the South sometimes it's not pronounced rice.
- 5:28Is rice my pronunciation in the correct way?
- 5:32I I remember going to Jamaica and I think they call us the
- 5:35Reese's, the Reese. Yeah, Reese.
- 5:43Yes, thank you. This Reese.
- 5:45But then you know he says good is just one syllable.
- 5:47It's not Ademola. I've had so many variants of my
- 5:51name that I don't even know what name is real any longer.
- 5:54So I just tell people call me AI.
- 5:56Look, that's my first name is Patty Muller.
- 5:58My middle name is the CMS. So yeah, I love that Monica AI.
- 6:02I've been around for a long time.
- 6:03Exactly, now that your nieces are very popular, so that works.
- 6:07That was right. Cool.
- 6:09Somebody was was jealous of me recently goes like, oh wow, you
- 6:13have such a cool Monica like like excuse me, I've had this
- 6:17Monica all my life. I've always been AI.
- 6:20I've always signed emails AI. But you guys did not get it
- 6:23right. But now when I send my when I
- 6:25send my emails, AI, you guys are.
- 6:30You guys are raising eyebrows. Yeah.
- 6:33Like, why? Why?
- 6:34Yeah, I've always been AI. Wow.
- 6:38It's just this stuff. Doctor Rice, you are many things
- 6:43that of course, you feed many souls.
- 6:45Right. And let's talk about ladies
- 6:48living in victory. And excellent Is that life or
- 6:51leave? It's live, we're all about our
- 6:55lives and so my the acronym for my company is LLVE, but we
- 7:00pronounce it live. But it's ladies living in Victor
- 7:03and excellence. I through my the path that God
- 7:06chose for me from engineer to at home mom to back into the
- 7:10marketplace as a programme manager of a multi $1,000,000
- 7:13contracts. I noticed a pattern when it came
- 7:16to women in the marketplace especially and industries that
- 7:20were male dominated and I also noticed it in ministry.
- 7:24We've already discussed that I'm way I'm double your senior so.
- 7:29Double my age. I don't I don't understand the
- 7:31alignment right. I am 33 or 60 exactly.
- 7:36So tell them what I told you backstage.
- 7:38It's. Almost.
- 7:40I'll leave. It.
- 7:41I will leave it. I will leave it to you.
- 7:43I will leave it to you. Some people may say, well, it
- 7:46could be double trouble, but we're going to say it's double
- 7:48victory because anytime, God, I've spoke something twice, it
- 7:51happened immediately. So that's the way we're going to
- 7:53look. Once have I spoken, twice have I
- 7:56heard that all power belongs to God.
- 8:00That's right about it. 33 + 66 is 99.
- 8:04Wow. Another victory.
- 8:07So think about it, with my generation of women and even in
- 8:11younger women when I came back to the marketplace, things had
- 8:15not changed a whole lot when it came to women in leadership or
- 8:18women in industries that were male dominated.
- 8:21And I really felt the pulling from the Lord to start live.
- 8:25But like I told you, I did not start in obedience.
- 8:28I called it everything but ladies living in Victory and
- 8:31excellence. The acronym was the same, but I
- 8:33was saying learning to live in victor victory and excellence.
- 8:36And you know how God can reprimand us when we're not
- 8:39hearing his voice. I finally, I finally got on my
- 8:45face and said, OK, God, I surrender.
- 8:47I know the world's going to say this is crazy.
- 8:49Why is she doing leadership development and professional
- 8:53development for women through a biblical lens?
- 8:55Because that's supposed to be taboo to mix them, but I knew
- 8:59what the Lord was telling me. That's when Ladies Living in
- 9:02Victory and Excellence was rebirthed.
- 9:04And I started what's called the Faith Field Executive Leadership
- 9:08Institute for Women and doors Open, Things change.
- 9:12Because I saw so many women that they wanted to combine their
- 9:15faith and trust in God and what their marketplace assignments
- 9:19were, but they were a little bit afraid to do it.
- 9:22And then I saw women who like me, they left the marketplace to
- 9:27go raise a family. And then when you come back
- 9:30after being away for a long period of time or there's a gap,
- 9:33people treat you differently. And so I wanted to encourage
- 9:37women to understand something I had to.
- 9:40I remember the day when the Lord told me that I had been away for
- 9:4315 years. Now I'm really about to date and
- 9:47you're going to laugh. When I left, when I left the
- 9:49marketplace, there was number that they were just starting to
- 9:53use computer aided design. We were doing engineers with a
- 9:58draft court and AT square right. I know you're thinking you have
- 10:03this dinosaur on your show, but listen, we talked.
- 10:06No, no, no. So, So what what I'm thinking is
- 10:08when I was at university, I had a lot of architecture students.
- 10:12They were always carried the the theme, the square at the at the
- 10:16bar. They're all in like this.
- 10:19Exactly. So here I am re entering the
- 10:22marketplace and I'm going into a company.
- 10:26They hired me because I had the background of the leadership and
- 10:30development and training because they needed me to do technical
- 10:33leadership and training and our team was overriding help menus
- 10:37for software that the government had built in house.
- 10:40But I get there and I'm thinking of all of the things that I have
- 10:45to overcome and I remember every day I was a 25 minute drive and
- 10:49I remember every day going, Lord, Are you sure?
- 10:53But I started realising that as I prayed and spent time with him
- 10:58in that 25 minute drive, the Holy Spirit became my best
- 11:03friend. You know, the Lord Jesus said I
- 11:05won't leave you orphan as an orphans and John is a John 16.
- 11:09He said I'm sending you the the Holy Spirit is coming the
- 11:14conference and that word comforter means helper, teacher,
- 11:18God stand by. He's everything we need.
- 11:21And so I started depending on him every day that I went to
- 11:25that office and I'm leading this team.
- 11:27And I just started realising he really is my helper, my
- 11:32comforter teacher. It that word breaks down
- 11:35advocate. So he'll even fight for you when
- 11:38you can't speak up, a fight for yourself.
- 11:40And so I started realising what I call God empowered confidence.
- 11:46And that made me so bold and put me in a place of leadership that
- 11:50I knew I wasn't supposed to keep it to myself.
- 11:53And I knew there were other women who felt like I did, who
- 11:57had to take gaps away from the marketplace, whether it was to
- 12:00take care of a family member, their parents, raise children,
- 12:03take care of themselves, whatever it was that they could
- 12:07re enter the marketplace in a place of power and confidence if
- 12:12they trusted God instead of trusting themselves.
- 12:15So that's what Nevello became, became.
- 12:17That's what it's all about. Now we spoke a bit about the
- 12:21impact versus income conflict. Yes, peak faith.
- 12:28All of us at some point face that situation when it comes to
- 12:33your calling, meeting your calling, or making a living.
- 12:37How difficult was it for you, and how were you able to
- 12:39reconcile that conflict with your own self?
- 12:42So, so it's funny you asked me that question at this time.
- 12:46I remember when we stepped away, when I stepped away the from the
- 12:49marketplace the first time, my salary was more than my
- 12:52husband's and the insurance, everything that we needed was
- 12:57set up within my my job. I worked for the the government
- 13:02at the time that time too. And but we prayed and God spoke
- 13:07to him and gave him peace for me to walk away.
- 13:09And the day I did well when we set the paperwork in process, it
- 13:14was amazing, but it was God. His job started providing health
- 13:19insurance dental insurance eye insurance and he his salary was
- 13:24doubled weeks before I was supposed to leave.
- 13:27Now you know that does not happen so with divine and event
- 13:31in the mid I wrote a book called mountain movie made easy while I
- 13:36was away the first time and something that God had to jump
- 13:41out on the page at me and I'm I'm going the long route but I'm
- 13:44going to get to where we're going to I'll try to shorten it
- 13:46down was in the scriptures. It said that if we have faith as
- 13:52a mustard seed, then we can move this mountain.
- 13:55And so I used to think growing up that and I heard men and
- 14:00ministers say it, if we have faith the size of but I went
- 14:05back and translated that and it says as meaning like.
- 14:12And so God had me to study the process of the mustard seed and
- 14:16it's in Scripture. Jesus taught it in a in a
- 14:18biblical example where the seed goes into the ground and it's so
- 14:23tight, but then it goes on the stick, but it it branches and
- 14:26rises up so great that the fowl and the birds of the air could
- 14:30have a home there. So that meant that my faith may
- 14:35start off small, but I have to digest the word of God, spend
- 14:39time with him in prayer to develop it so that it can house
- 14:44what we need. And so many times in my
- 14:47situation and in the battles we face, where we have to decide
- 14:50whether we're going to listen to God and follow his path, even if
- 14:54it means stepping away and taking a lesser salary for our
- 14:57period of time or do it the world's way.
- 15:01That's where our faith has to grow.
- 15:03And like I shared with you before we actually started
- 15:06recording, I remember the day I'm whining and crying out to
- 15:09God about something. Oh Lord, I need this, this and
- 15:11this. And he goes, oh, so you the
- 15:14daughter that wrote mountain move mate, he's a talking about
- 15:17faith. And now you're whining to me.
- 15:19Why are you not trusting me for you?
- 15:21And you know what I think many times we forget how much God
- 15:26loves us. And if we really understood how
- 15:30much he loves us, we would never doubt anything that he wants us
- 15:36to do or ask for us. Because remember, he wants he
- 15:39wants us. He wants his best for us.
- 15:42So with that understanding that He wants his best for us, why
- 15:46would he leave us in a situation where we'll be denied everything
- 15:51that Christ died for us for? So when it comes to faith, some
- 15:59of force have that faith as a must secede and allow that faith
- 16:04to grow. I remember the parable in the
- 16:05Bible. You know, there are people with
- 16:08different kinds of hearts, the rocky heart, the fertile ground.
- 16:12Right. Some people, the seed Gemini,
- 16:17right? Or how about wait for it, those
- 16:21people that take their mustard seeds and sprinkle it on their
- 16:24McDonald's burger. You know, I see the sprinkles,
- 16:28you know, on those burgers. It's like some people, they just
- 16:30eat it up like they don't have the time to invest that.
- 16:37And we have, we have a very minor peak generation right now.
- 16:44We even the TikTok generation, people have that cognitive bias.
- 16:49People have the recent bias. People don't remember even
- 16:55things us by us last year, the last thing that they saw.
- 17:02People don't even have good attention span any longer and
- 17:07it's leading us into a faithless generation.
- 17:11Right and. If the last thing that is so, So
- 17:15what would you say to the next generation of the leaders, you
- 17:19know, billionaires like that or the Gen Z and of course the
- 17:24upcoming Gen Alpha or 10 AI if you wish.
- 17:30You know I I just. The Lord flashed before me, the
- 17:34prodigal son. He thought he could have it
- 17:38better by doing his own thing. He didn't need what his father
- 17:42had for him. But the in in the middle of all
- 17:46of that, his father never took away the blessing of the
- 17:50inheritance. He gave him what he asked for.
- 17:53And even though he went and squandered it and he ended up in
- 17:57the hog pit, he ended up in a place where he realised, he
- 18:00said, even my father's servants are doing better than me.
- 18:05And so I think sometimes God allows us to stray or get in
- 18:10positions or put a, he allows us to do our own thing, but he
- 18:14keeps just enough cord on us. So at the right time and the
- 18:18right moment, he could pull us back.
- 18:20I mean, I lived that life when I went off to college.
- 18:23But we've talked about Tuscaloosa, AL and I enjoyed
- 18:27myself. I, I, I straight up did all of
- 18:30these things thinking I'm living for God, but I'm really not
- 18:34living for God. I could do my own thing and, and
- 18:36I had a, I've had a master's role the moment right after I
- 18:41graduated. In fact, I graduated in
- 18:44petroleum engineering and I did not get a job because the oil
- 18:47industry plummeted. I did not get a job for 12
- 18:50months. So all of these plans I had for
- 18:53myself, I was going to be on an oil rig in Texas or Louisiana
- 18:57somewhere making all of these, all these hundreds of thousands
- 19:01of dollars that was eventually going to equate to millions.
- 19:04God had me and a place where I had to come home and depend upon
- 19:09my parents again temporarily, but He brought me to my knees
- 19:13just like the young man in the hog pen.
- 19:16But what I would say to you, to your generation and to those
- 19:19generations is this, remember something, we may go out there
- 19:23and we may experience all these things and think which we think
- 19:26in our own what we don't need. You know, we, we have this place
- 19:30where we really don't need God anymore.
- 19:34You'll come to that place where you find out that you do.
- 19:38But know this, this the same way the father with the prodigal son
- 19:41had his hands stressed out. Why?
- 19:44To receive his son and give him another inherited because
- 19:50remember, he squandered his person.
- 19:53He gave him another inheritance. So it's still waiting on you.
- 19:56The blessings, the benefits, the promises, they don't go away
- 20:00just because we do. We just have to find our way
- 20:03back to Him and realise everything that we were chasing
- 20:07after is already waiting for us if we go back to the one who
- 20:11created it for us in the first place.
- 20:14It's really refreshing having having leaders like yourself in
- 20:18this agent's time and you know the Bible says something
- 20:23starting to show myself a Workman that be ashamed rightly
- 20:27dividing the word of truth right finances something in this
- 20:33generation. There are way too many.
- 20:37OK, how fixed Christians? How fixed is even good, right?
- 20:42We're talking about Christians like steaks, right?
- 20:45I like my steak well done, but we have medium steaks and of
- 20:50course you have the rare. But some, some people are like
- 20:53even uncooked steak. They go all around
- 20:57misrepresenting the word Christianity.
- 21:01You know, sometimes I even feel ashamed identifying as a sister.
- 21:05Of course, there are certain people who change Christianity
- 21:09to like a terrorist group or terrorist affiliation.
- 21:13Yes. They just toss it around and
- 21:15you, you don't even feel proud any longer to identify Christian
- 21:19and people don't even realise that Easternity means being
- 21:24Christian means Christ like. Right.
- 21:28Somebody who goes to church a lot, right?
- 21:31I know somebody that goes to church a lot.
- 21:34In fact, two people who have actually misbehaved terribly
- 21:38back in recent times. And there was one who was
- 21:42involved in an altercation with another person.
- 21:44And I told them, you go to church a lot.
- 21:47I, I, for a long time, you know, I've not really even stepped
- 21:51foot in church. They want to judge a person like
- 21:54myself saying, oh, you don't go to church.
- 21:55You're like the devil that knows a lot of the Scriptures.
- 21:59But excuse me, but do you know the Scriptures?
- 22:02You know what the Scripture says?
- 22:03They come to you and tell you, oh, my pastor said this.
- 22:06Who the hell is your pastor? I don't care who your pastor is.
- 22:08I don't know who your pastor is. What does Jesus say?
- 22:12And guess what? This person was fighting with
- 22:14the other person. And guess what this person said?
- 22:16The person said, I'm not going to apologise, I'm going to
- 22:19fight. OK, Excuse me.
- 22:20What would Jesus do in this situation?
- 22:23Guess what this person told me Jesus Christ said?
- 22:26An eye for an eye. Excuse me, Jesus.
- 22:28Jesus doesn't say. That was Moses, not Jesus.
- 22:32Right. As I was like, oh, you don't go
- 22:34to church and you're telling me what I'm like, Excuse me?
- 22:36Well, you can check it. Just check it.
- 22:39You're fighting. You go to church and guess what?
- 22:42This person told me I'm going to go to church this evening and
- 22:44ask for forgiveness. But to to know it's seeing and
- 22:50still do it is seeing when I really started working on this
- 22:54platform for the Faith Filled Leadership Institute and for
- 22:58what I do specifically where I do leadership development for
- 23:02women through a biblical lens. I did some research and just in
- 23:06the United States alone, there were over there were close to 40
- 23:10million women who identified themselves as believers. 30% of
- 23:16them don't go near a church and in our company, I mean, in our
- 23:20country, you know, right now, Christianity is being
- 23:24weaponized. And so right, so I'm your weird
- 23:28point of I don't, I say I'm a believer.
- 23:30And it's, it's, you know, hard to to see that there is no
- 23:35Christ likeness there. But something that the Lord
- 23:38really put in my heart was this you go be the light in the
- 23:42marketplace and teach them, welcome them, let them come into
- 23:49a safe space and learn about me. And then I reintroduce them to
- 23:54spaces where they can then can go to.
- 23:58I'm not looking. I don't I don't bring in
- 24:00anything political. I just talk about being Christ
- 24:03like and living for Christ. And so I think though, in fact
- 24:10the Bible tells us what in Matthews 5 it says for us to go
- 24:14and shine and be a light. That was funny, it wasn't my
- 24:18mind. Let your light so shine that the
- 24:21world sees the glory of your Father within thee.
- 24:26My favourite, my favourite version of Matthew 5 is in the
- 24:29Message Bible. It says, let me tell you why
- 24:32you're here. Let me tell you why you even put
- 24:34on this earth. You'll put there to shine so
- 24:37that the whole world can see the glory of God.
- 24:39And So what we tried to make Christ likeness be in four with
- 24:45the four walls of the church instead of Christ likeness being
- 24:50out where the whole world can see us.
- 24:51And that includes the marketplace.
- 24:53I mean, he said, I'm sending you to the highways and the byways.
- 24:56We're on the highway of the, the Internet right now.
- 25:00And we're talking about the glory of God and we're talking
- 25:02about purpose. And that's what I, I want women
- 25:06to understand that even in the marketplace, we have a
- 25:09marketplace assignment. I think I'm fulfilling my
- 25:13marketplace purpose by what I'm doing.
- 25:15And it's all leading back to shining for the glory of God,
- 25:19but at the same time being a light to some people who will
- 25:23never walk in the doors of a church because of what they've
- 25:27seen there. We have to go out to the world
- 25:30and be that light and shine. For him, a city set on a hill
- 25:34cannot be hidden. No one lights a candle and puts
- 25:39it on a bullshit. I think that that that is enough
- 25:45food for thought, right Be that letting hear what the Spirit is
- 25:51saying to the Church, yes. So if word is enough otherwise
- 25:57right, that you know our people are white.
- 26:02And whether you realise it or not, what you're in a
- 26:07marketplace ministry, although although you bring different
- 26:09guests and they're speaking different things, your life is
- 26:13radiating all over the world. And that's what we have to
- 26:16realise exactly is that the places that God puts us, their
- 26:22strategic. I tell women all the time that
- 26:26that every door that God opens, he closes some and we couldn't
- 26:29we can't understand why, but then he puts us in other places
- 26:33and the door opens and here's a divine plan.
- 26:36And I tell people all the time to make sure you're listening
- 26:40enough to God and not your. We talked about that in Proverbs
- 26:44about trust the Lord with all your heart.
- 26:46Lean not into your understanding out of him and indirect your
- 26:51path. What look, he directs our path.
- 26:54Sometimes we're off the we're off the path.
- 26:57So he has to close the door to make a shift and go back where
- 27:00we are supposed to be because that's where your blessings are.
- 27:04That's that's where your Kairos moment is.
- 27:07That's where the doors open for you is when we allow God's
- 27:11present Holy Spirit to speak into our lives and listen
- 27:16instead of talking studying on prayer a couple of days ago and
- 27:20and I shared it with one of my classes and I was saying this
- 27:24prayers communication and that's a two way St.
- 27:28We can't say we prayed and we didn't let God talk.
- 27:33So were we asking to? Yes, one mouth for a reason.
- 27:38And as you can tell, I'm a talker, so I have to reel myself
- 27:42in because he wants us to hear him so much, because he has so
- 27:50much for us that we could miss if we don't listen to him.
- 27:56I talk about this a lot. There are 4 lines of skills, 4
- 27:59lines of skills, listening, speaking, read and write them.
- 28:05But a lot of people focus on just a speaker in order to be a
- 28:10great communicator, getting to master the world and professing
- 28:16life myself. I'm grateful and really grateful
- 28:18being able to master all of the four skills.
- 28:21And when I started out, this whole podcasting journey back,
- 28:26I'm a CPA, right? I'm an economist, a finance guy.
- 28:30A lot of people like, what are you looking for in the world of
- 28:32podcasting? You should have been doing this
- 28:34but. I never worked at one day.
- 28:36I never worked one day of my life in petroleum engineering.
- 28:41I graduated engineering that that was the avenue to get me in
- 28:45that STEM industry. I ended up working as a
- 28:47engineer. When I did work for the
- 28:50government, I worked as a mechanical engineer.
- 28:52Had nothing to do with petroleum.
- 28:54I never got to be on one oil tank tanker, not one time.
- 29:00Let me make you. Let me make you feel bad.
- 29:02I'm going to make you feel bad now.
- 29:03During my time at PwC, I audited oil companies and yeah, I got to
- 29:09be on a couple of work time. I'll make you feel bad right
- 29:12now. I'm Shield.
- 29:19I'm going to do this. I'm sorry, I'm sorry I have to
- 29:22do this, but I think that I have, I have a picture where I
- 29:28was, I was the oil. Oil week.
- 29:35Yeah. Wow.
- 29:37Yeah, be be be being at the already.
- 29:40And I am, yes, going to do that. So I felt like I missed what I
- 29:44was supposed to be doing. But I don't think so.
- 29:46I think the divine connections and what we learned along the
- 29:50way lead us to where God really wants to take us next.
- 29:53Because yeah, that humbled me. It humbled me that I say 1212
- 29:59months before I actually got hired as an engineer and it
- 30:03moved back to my hometown. So a lot of times our past, it
- 30:08is in our hearts do certain things, but they lead or they
- 30:11connect to other things. So So here you were an
- 30:14accountant on an oil rig. Wow.
- 30:18So you experiencing, you experienced something that I
- 30:22never had a chance to do. And I thought, Lord, did I miss
- 30:26you. I'm really supposed to be doing
- 30:27this. But it was that was a place of
- 30:31development for me. Those 12 months was a place of
- 30:34development and humbling for me. And then in one day I went from
- 30:39waiting 12 months to in one day I was going to take some
- 30:42mechanical engineering courses and double my major.
- 30:45One day, first day of class, gentleman walks up to me and
- 30:48say, Hey, don't you already have an engineering degree?
- 30:51I'm going to bring your application for the for the
- 30:53government and you fill it out and and I'll turn it back in for
- 30:58you. So this is that Monday of class
- 31:00of the first day of the week. Maybe two days later, I bring it
- 31:04back to him. The next day after me waiting 12
- 31:07months, I get a telephone call. Hey, can you come in for an
- 31:11interview? I said sure.
- 31:13Next day go for the interview. Been waiting 12 months.
- 31:16Remember, go in for the in and they tell me, listen, we're
- 31:20going to send you to this organisation first if you don't
- 31:25like them. Did you hear what I said?
- 31:28If you like them, come back. We have a couple more places we
- 31:32can take you to and you'll have the job of your choice before
- 31:37you leave here. They got to the interviews like
- 31:39that. So it was in that trusting in
- 31:43the Lord with all our heart leaning not to my own
- 31:46understanding Now you know I've been my understanding was God.
- 31:50I am being set up. I'm waiting.
- 31:52I don't have a job. All it is Why, Why, why, why?
- 31:56But he had a divine purpose in it all.
- 31:59I didn't say that can only be guarded as quite interesting.
- 32:02And I love what you said about how God closed the second doors
- 32:06right. In other words, setting all the
- 32:08doors to open. And that is something I only
- 32:10say. I don't understand why you are
- 32:13very much aligning with my philosophies.
- 32:16You talk about having that light and talking about me in the
- 32:22broadcasting industry, being a ministry for me.
- 32:25And recently I celebrated crossing the 100 country mark
- 32:30and becoming global top 2%. Think about it, if I stayed back
- 32:36in the corporate world, who would know me?
- 32:38Who would be impacted by the work that I do?
- 32:44I didn't know like 100 countries.
- 32:48Right. And even more than that is this.
- 32:51How many people would have missed a message that they
- 32:55needed to hear on your podcast, but you weren't in place for the
- 33:01guests that you had and the people that had that you had and
- 33:04your voice, you weren't in place for them to hear it.
- 33:08That's why it's so important for us as children of God to make
- 33:12sure we are where we're supposed to be when that moment comes,
- 33:18because others are going to miss out if we're not there.
- 33:24Right. It's right time doing the right
- 33:26thing. Wow.
- 33:28So Speaking of impact, Speaking of impact, anyways, like my
- 33:33friend who called me just before we started the recording, we had
- 33:37that discussion earlier today about the impact, right?
- 33:43Me being grateful. I'm very big on gratitude
- 33:46because I think gratitude is good attitude.
- 33:48And I was telling them I, I feel very grateful, you know, for the
- 33:51impact I've been able to achieve.
- 33:53And it's really interesting. I need to play this one for
- 33:56them. But I just see.
- 33:57Oh, she instructs on our conversation from Ed today.
- 34:03You were listening to us without our permission.
- 34:07That's divine intervention. That's I'm laughing because even
- 34:10our entire the meeting, the conversation, all of it has been
- 34:14a divine intervention, intervention where God just
- 34:16aligns where we're supposed to be or as we listen, we are
- 34:20obedient what he's telling us. So I mean, he used us so many
- 34:25times to make impact and many times we underestimate the
- 34:29impact that God wants to make through us.
- 34:32And it's a lot of times it has to do with the people who knew
- 34:35us growing up are the people that are around us.
- 34:37Remember, Jesus was, you know, Jesus said.
- 34:40A prophet is without honour in his own.
- 34:42In his own home. So, so many times we minimise
- 34:48who we really are based on our natural connections, because the
- 34:52people that we're naturally connected to, like our families
- 34:55and our friends and the people around us, they have minimised
- 34:59who we are not, not in a purposeful, purposeful kind of
- 35:03way, but because they've seen us in this ordinary life, They
- 35:07don't under or see the supernatural life that God has
- 35:12established for us. And so in these different spaces
- 35:17and, and you're in 100 countries now they're going, wow, is this
- 35:23their camera? Is this?
- 35:25Yeah, is it? Is this?
- 35:27Is this man Joseph? You know the mind.
- 35:29You know the one that it was Joseph's, but we don't know.
- 35:33About that so. We have to trust God in those
- 35:37processes of where He puts and locates us because it matters.
- 35:42It doesn't. Matter like it's the same guy I
- 35:46grew up with. You know, I was in a place a few
- 35:50days ago when my husband, we were at an organisation for a
- 35:53dinner and the one of the women asked, Oh yeah, she would go
- 35:57with me. And I thought, boy, my life is
- 35:59so different from when I went to high school.
- 36:01But that's what she remembered me from.
- 36:04And so so we have to constantly remind ourselves of who we are
- 36:10in the Lord and then don't worry about what they see us as,
- 36:14because when the right time comes and God has elevated us to
- 36:18that space that he wants us to be in, he'll remind the world
- 36:21for you who you are. I love that and this speaks you
- 36:26so better. I always say that human beings,
- 36:29people, everybody listening to this part that don't care about
- 36:34what people say. What is important is who you are
- 36:41and who God says you are. Believe in yourself and believe
- 36:44in your God. That's what really, really
- 36:46matters. But people potentially for
- 36:49validation. I believe for validation, yeah.
- 36:52Like a lot of people say different is about me.
- 36:55Like I'm tired, like I don't really care and I don't, I, I
- 37:00try as much as possible not to let people change who I am.
- 37:04Of course, if you're a kind person, yeah, people will test
- 37:10you. That's where the God empowered
- 37:14confidence comes in because if we try to live in our own, in
- 37:18our own skin, in our own confidence, then we can distract
- 37:22it or we'll we'll start to feel some sort of way about
- 37:25ourselves. But when we allow the Holy
- 37:27Spirit to remind us and what I call God empowered confidence,
- 37:32man, we are, you know, it's not my business to worry about what
- 37:35other people think. It's my business to think or the
- 37:38word be concerned about what God thinks about me and who he told
- 37:42me I was. You know, it's just like growing
- 37:44up and and your parents and you had a question about, you know,
- 37:48who you are and what you you would develop.
- 37:50That's my, my, my family. I have a long lineage of
- 37:54Macklin's in my family, my mother's side of the family.
- 37:57And, and that was a strong lineage of women.
- 38:01The women in our family were very strong.
- 38:03And my grandmother only went through the 8th, the 8th grade
- 38:07because in the United States at that time, because of the
- 38:11desegregation and all those things, she was not able to go
- 38:15any further than that in her education.
- 38:18But she was one of the women who have started the 1st Girl Scout
- 38:22Trooper organisation in our city for for African American young
- 38:27girls. And I look at that, she didn't
- 38:29let what they thought about her stop her.
- 38:32She knew what her mother had told her.
- 38:34You are a Macklin and you can do this.
- 38:38And it's the same way with us and God.
- 38:40You are God's son, you are God's daughter, and I've given you the
- 38:44power to do this. Don't worry about what everybody
- 38:47else is thinking about. Know who God says you are and
- 38:51the Lord is telling us. Know who I say you are.
- 38:55He says I say head and not to tell you on the top and not on
- 39:00the bottom. I say you're blessed coming in
- 39:03and going out. Everything you touch is black,
- 39:07so why would you listen to the world?
- 39:09Who's going to try to tell you you cannot be successful?
- 39:13Wow, just want to like to know anytime I think about marketing,
- 39:15I think far too big. So, but let's talk about leave,
- 39:19right? So that honestly, yeah, anytime
- 39:23God gives you a vision, God will make a provision.
- 39:27Right. I want you to align with that
- 39:30statement. God gave you that vision and of
- 39:32course, interesting you have a passion for execution of that
- 39:36vision. So how has the journey been?
- 39:40What have been the provisions and what's the level of impact
- 39:44you hope to achieve? And what's the level of impact
- 39:47you have achieved thus far? Well, God has told me I will
- 39:52make provisions for the vision, so I have to trust in him
- 39:56absolutely. Even when I look at where I am
- 39:59now and what He's promised me that it will be, I really have
- 40:03to trust Him in faith. I think the impact that he's
- 40:06allowing me to make as I reach out to women, it is now women
- 40:10globally. And I actually ended up, I
- 40:13checked a message from my podcast that I just launched.
- 40:18In September and there was a message from someone in in India
- 40:21and it was a gentleman actually. And he said, I love the way you
- 40:26have incorporated leadership and business along with your faith.
- 40:31Wow. That.
- 40:34Sounds like messages that I get as well.
- 40:38Right. And I'm like, Oh my God.
- 40:40So so the impact is great. And, and The thing is that as,
- 40:44as, as I continue to be obedient, you've got to open
- 40:48more doors. He'll tell me, OK, I've got this
- 40:50lined up for you and this is what I'm offering you.
- 40:53It's just like when I was sharing about the, the 90 day,
- 40:57and I mean, 90 minute intensive that I'm going to be doing or
- 41:00I've started to do the second one is and probably be after
- 41:04this podcast. But The thing is when he tells
- 41:07me whatever rate to give, that's what I do.
- 41:09And I have to trust him to make up the difference.
- 41:11But he's also promised me some corporate accounts where I'll
- 41:15actually go into an organisation and speak into the lives of the
- 41:19women there. And so I'm not concerned.
- 41:22I used to be more concerned about it.
- 41:24Now it's all on trust. I mean, I'm like Peter now we
- 41:27are out there on, we're in the water, we're walking on the
- 41:30water. We're just going to have to not
- 41:32look down and just focus on the assignment.
- 41:36And that's what I say to you. And in a lot of people out there
- 41:40that are wanting to combine their faith with their business
- 41:44side is focus on the assignment. Think that I will, I'll have, I
- 41:49believe in my heart. There'll be 100,000 tuning in
- 41:52women, tuning into women, the world in the marketplace,
- 41:55because that's the that's my YouTube channel.
- 41:57Women, the word in the marketplace.
- 41:59And they're going to be listening and they're going to
- 42:02hear their father's voice and they'll start saying, OK, this
- 42:05will work for me. This will work for me.
- 42:07I just, I just believe the impact is there.
- 42:10In fact, I'm going to share an experience I had with you before
- 42:13we close out. It was probably about a month
- 42:16ago. No, it's maybe maybe six weeks
- 42:18ago now. Now, if you could tell by my
- 42:20background behind me, this is my office and everything's in all
- 42:24in place. And what I saw, I'm really picky
- 42:26about certain things. And, and the night it was on a
- 42:31Saturday night, and I had dreamed about a woman who was
- 42:35about to make a business deal. And in the middle of her going
- 42:39to the deal, she knew in her heart she didn't have God's
- 42:42peace about it, but she went anyway.
- 42:44But when she got there, the people she's going to make the
- 42:46deal with, it was almost like it was a shyster kind of back door
- 42:50behind the scenes thing. And she got a revelation that
- 42:54will not do it. And so she threw the briefcase
- 42:57up. Money went flying everywhere and
- 43:00she ran. And so when I woke up from the
- 43:02dream, you know, I'm, I'm thinking about it the whole time
- 43:04I'm getting ready for morning worship and I'm headed to our
- 43:07church. And, you know, usually when I
- 43:09speak online, I'm all got my little background and
- 43:12everything's all neat. And I said, God, what do you
- 43:14want me to do with this dream? I said, you want me to talk
- 43:16about it tomorrow because no, you've got to say this now
- 43:20because they're going to make that deal in the morning.
- 43:22So I go live in my car on Facebook and I just say, hey, I
- 43:29don't know who I'm talking to, but there's somebody out here.
- 43:32And I shared the experience and I said, and I shared with them
- 43:35that that God has a plan for you, but you're, you're trying
- 43:39to make a deal and you don't have peace about it.
- 43:42And, and I told him about the dream and what I saw and I said
- 43:45the Lord said it's not him. And so I went live with it.
- 43:49Well, probably within a 24 hour period, I had three different
- 43:53women to message me and say thank you.
- 43:58So we don't understand impact sometimes and sometimes we have
- 44:04to realise our impact. Sometimes we have to choose
- 44:08impact and obedience over the money side, and the money side
- 44:12will catch up to us because what does it say He first, the
- 44:17Kingdom of God. Kingdom of God and every other
- 44:20thing shall be added unto you. He added to me.
- 44:23So if I seek His Kingdom and doing it His way and doing and
- 44:29being obedient in my assignment, all the other things that we
- 44:32desire, the big corporations, the employees, the people, the
- 44:35reach is going to be added. But the key is seeking Him
- 44:40first. So that's what live is all
- 44:44about. So before we close, I'm going to
- 44:48share a testimony with you as well.
- 44:50So somebody sent me this. And by the way, back to that
- 44:56same friend I was talking to, just shortly, this whole start
- 45:00recording of that same friend told me something recently.
- 45:04As I said, I'm going to be very, very mad at you.
- 45:06I'm going to be very upset with you if I think what's talking
- 45:10forecasting. You cannot afford to stop this
- 45:13thing. This is your life.
- 45:14This is what God has dropped you on earth to do.
- 45:17Please don't have to think about it.
- 45:19And the interesting thing is the very few times I've ever been
- 45:25discouraged, you know, of course.
- 45:28Yeah. The impact versus the income
- 45:31thing. Right, Right.
- 45:32Come on. You're very talented.
- 45:34You know something else then just drop this.
- 45:38Probably a distraction. Somebody from somewhere in the
- 45:42world will always just pop up on social media, Instagram or
- 45:46LinkedIn, TikTok, and send me a message.
- 45:48This one came sometime earlier this year and I'm going to read
- 45:52this right. Hello, Atimola.
