Memphis Gains Flexibility in Aldama Trade | Dallas Mavericks News
Memphis Grizzlies pull off a savvy trade, sending Santi Aldama and Tarik Biberovic’s draft rights to Dallas for AJ Johnson, a protected 2030 first-round pick, and two second-rounders — all while preserving their massive traded-player exception from the Jaren Jackson Jr. deal. The move prioritizes financial flexibility over immediate impact, with Aldama offering Dallas needed size and a manageable contract, while Memphis keeps its roster options wide open for future moves.
