- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, y'all, welcome to the What More Can I
- 0:02Speaker 1: Say podcast. This is episode what, Ryder? 397.
- 0:06Speaker 2: 397 of these things. I want your host, Tom Capone.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Woo, woo.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Woo, woo. Woo, woo, woo.
- 0:11Speaker 1: The lady with the bull's hat on. Zach missed the memo.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Hey. Woo, woo. Woo, woo. Hey, y'all. I didn't miss
- 0:18Speaker 2: the memo. I got the memo. I just don't wear hats.
- 0:20Speaker 2: You don't wear hats. We've been talked about this. Yeah,
- 0:22Speaker 2: we did talk about this. We talked about this on
- 0:23Speaker 2: the last episode.
- 0:24Speaker 3: When you got waves like Zach, you don't wear hats.
- 0:26Speaker 2: You don't wear hats. Period. Wear a little scarf or something, bro.
- 0:29Speaker 3: That would be so funny.
- 0:31Speaker 2: A little scarf around your head. A little ninny. That's
- 0:33Speaker 2: getting a little too. A little scarf on Zach. Yeah,
- 0:38Speaker 2: just on a regular day like this. What I need
- 0:40Speaker 2: a scarf on for? Where you going? Is that right?
- 0:43Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 0:45Speaker 2: It's fashionable, bro. Yeah, okay. All right. I have a
- 0:48Speaker 2: funny man over there, Zach. What's up, y'all? All right,
- 0:52Speaker 2: let's go ahead and jump into this.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Oh, first, did you guys see the clip that's going
- 0:56Speaker 1: around about Jay-Z talking about Irv Gotti?
- 1:01Speaker 2: Yes. Saw that? Yeah. What'd you think about it as
- 1:05Speaker 2: a Murder, Inc. member?
- 1:08Speaker 3: All is fair in love and war. You know what
- 1:10Speaker 3: I'm saying?
- 1:11Speaker 4: Jay-Z is undoubtedly, he has always had love for Irv.
- 1:15Speaker 4: But when it comes down to business, Jay-Z don't got
- 1:18Speaker 4: no love for nobody. So he, you said what he said,
- 1:21Speaker 4: and he felt how he felt about Irv Gotti signing Nas.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:25Speaker 3: That's the clip you're talking about?
- 1:26Speaker 2: What was the clip? What was the issue?
- 1:27Speaker 1: So the clip was during the height of the beef
- 1:30Speaker 1: between Jay and Nas and.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Irv and him go back. Like, they go back for real.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Like, he said Irv was like his DJ at one point.
- 1:40Speaker 1: They real friends. So he was like, yo, during the
- 1:43Speaker 1: height of the beef, he went and tried to sign Nas. Now,
- 1:47Speaker 1: Irv was like, yo, this is a business move, basically.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Nas looking for a home. This is perfect for me
- 1:53Speaker 1: to jump in on. And I ain't really tripping on that.
- 1:56Speaker 1: And Jay took it like, hey, man, you're supposed to
- 1:59Speaker 1: be my man, and we beefing.
- 2:00Speaker 2: You're not supposed to sign him.
- 2:01Speaker 1: So he said once he saw that that's how it
- 2:03Speaker 1: was in business, then he was like, okay, if anything
- 2:08Speaker 1: goes in business, and we still cool, but we not
- 2:12Speaker 1: like we was.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Okay. Have you ever dealt with somebody like that before?
- 2:19Speaker 5: I've just heard that Jay-Z done stuff like that, though.
- 2:21Speaker 5: People have accused Jay-Z of doing that to him.
- 2:25Speaker 2: They have? Dang.
- 2:28Speaker 4: We finna go three times in a week this row
- 2:30Speaker 4: arguing about Jay-Z to start the pod.
- 2:32Speaker 3: You got to stop.
- 2:34Speaker 2: My bad. Yep. It's not. I'm just saying. But he
- 2:37Speaker 2: entirely not. What he's being.
- 2:39Speaker 3: You got to stop.
- 2:40Speaker 4: You've been trying to get your leg back for the
- 2:42Speaker 4: last two days with these Jay-Z stories.
- 2:44Speaker 5: And all I'm saying is that people have accused Jay-Z
- 2:47Speaker 5: of this. I'm not sorry because I don't know whether
- 2:49Speaker 5: he has or hasn't. I'm just saying he's been accused
- 2:51Speaker 5: of putting business before relationships and things like that.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Maybe that's where he got it from, Irv.
- 2:57Speaker 4: But I do know that Jay-Z and Irv Gotti both
- 2:59Speaker 4: really loved and respect each other.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Rest in peace to Irv Gotti.
- 3:04Speaker 4: It was like, okay, in that moment in time, it
- 3:06Speaker 4: might have been a little riff, but they had a
- 3:09Speaker 4: real relationship and a real friendship. So it didn't really
- 3:11Speaker 4: shake too much for either one of them. And then
- 3:13Speaker 4: to look how it all turned out, Jay-Z being the
- 3:15Speaker 4: genius that he is still end up doing business with
- 3:17Speaker 4: Nas after all of that.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Yep.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Did business with Nas.
- 3:21Speaker 1: And then, you know, when Irv's untimely passing happened, Jay
- 3:26Speaker 1: showed up front row. There were reports that say he
- 3:29Speaker 1: helped out with the funeral arrangements. So, I mean, they
- 3:34Speaker 1: were real friends. I think it was one of those, like,
- 3:37Speaker 1: I think they were like hot brothers. Like, you know,
- 3:40Speaker 1: we got issues, but I love you. Yeah. I came there,
- 3:43Speaker 1: and he even said in the interview, Jay-Z said in
- 3:45Speaker 1: the interview, he said, you know, it wasn't like it was,
- 3:48Speaker 1: but when Irv needed me, I show up in the
- 3:50Speaker 1: room and got him the deal to get the movie
- 3:52Speaker 1: deal for BET. I want to make sure he was straight.
- 3:55Speaker 1: So they was brothers. They had a real friendship.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Yes. That's real. Yep. Yep, yep.
- 4:00Speaker 1: All right, let's go ahead to this. Michael Jackson at
- 4:03Speaker 1: the Super Bowl documentary.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Who said he? He's stupid. Something wrong. He's crazy.
- 4:11Speaker 1: The documentary set is going to air on Hulu and
- 4:14Speaker 1: ESPN in February, so right around Super Bowl time. The
- 4:18Speaker 1: doc is set to cover Michael's iconic halftime show.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Are you excited? Yes.
- 4:23Speaker 4: We love Michael Jackson in this house. So if they're
- 4:26Speaker 4: going to give us that, I want to see it.
- 4:27Speaker 4: I also want one on Whitney Houston.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Well, her halftime. I mean, her national anthem performance.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a national anthem. Okay. What? I mean,
- 4:39Speaker 2: you can want what you want.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Who hates on Whitney Houston?
- 4:43Speaker 2: And Michael.
- 4:43Speaker 4: Up all them arms, because he must be hungry today.
- 4:46Speaker 4: He being mean for no reason.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I don't know why he being mean. Whitney Houston, bro?
- 4:51Speaker 4: But we don't... She's one of the most entertaining people
- 4:54Speaker 4: ever to watch.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Absolutely. And the best voice of all time.
- 4:58Speaker 6: Of all time.
- 4:58Speaker 5: I've said that many times. But she sang the national anthem.
- 5:03Speaker 5: You don't need a documentary. That's a That's a 30 minute.
- 5:08Speaker 5: We can cover that in like.
- 5:11Speaker 2: YouTube Reels.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Yeah, like we can do that in the Reels.
- 5:15Speaker 5: The National Anthem is a song that is already written.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Whitney sang it and killed it, but we don't need
- 5:20Speaker 5: a documentary. A documentary, folks.
- 5:24Speaker 2: She practiced it. She sounded amazing. And she killed it.
- 5:28Speaker 2: It doesn't need a. documentary.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Winnie probably went out the night before like, oh yeah,
- 5:32Speaker 1: I got to do this documentary.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Literally probably rolled up. Just rolled up that day. And
- 5:36Speaker 4: that's the stuff I want to see. I'm sorry for
- 5:39Speaker 4: you wanting to watch my legends.
- 5:41Speaker 2: And let Mike rest.
- 5:44Speaker 3: You don't want to see Michael's documentary either?
- 5:46Speaker 2: I want to see it.
- 5:47Speaker 5: And I will watch it because it's Michael, right? But
- 5:49Speaker 5: y'all just want to make money off Mike while Mike
- 5:52Speaker 5: ain't here. That's all y'all want to do. But then
- 5:54Speaker 5: when he's here, y'all want to crucify him.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Come on now.
- 5:57Speaker 5: And make him seem like this terrible person. But then
- 6:00Speaker 5: when he gone, oh, let's celebrate Mike. Let's do this, Mike.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Let's do this Michael Jackson film.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Let's do this.
- 6:04Speaker 5: Y'all just trying to figure out anything that y'all can
- 6:06Speaker 5: figure out of.
- 6:07Speaker 2: How to make money off Mike. And I don't like that.
- 6:10Speaker 1: That Michael biography, that picture, that movie that he did
- 6:15Speaker 1: that everybody went and watched and y'all thought was terrible.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I loved it. Everybody saw how much money it made.
- 6:22Speaker 2: They want to make some money.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:24Speaker 4: I mean, I'd rather them do this and tell a
- 6:27Speaker 4: celebratory story about Michael Jackson than to do the other
- 6:31Speaker 4: stuff that Netflix put out about Michael.
- 6:32Speaker 2: That's true.
- 6:33Speaker 5: But who doing it? I like to know who getting
- 6:36Speaker 5: the money. Because when you're not here, who's getting it?
- 6:40Speaker 5: The reason I was okay with the Michael documentary is
- 6:43Speaker 5: because his family put it together. So if his family
- 6:46Speaker 5: getting paid off of it, whether you like his family
- 6:47Speaker 5: or you think they shady or not, that's his family.
- 6:49Speaker 5: Who's getting the money from ESPN and Hulu? And then
- 6:54Speaker 5: y'all love to slap documentary on stuff. And then all
- 6:57Speaker 5: you do is show a little footage and then start
- 6:59Speaker 5: interviewing random people that you put in there.
- 7:02Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 7:03Speaker 5: They will take the actual footage that everybody got of
- 7:06Speaker 5: Michael Jackson and then interview some people that they want
- 7:10Speaker 5: to interview within it.
- 7:12Speaker 2: And then be like, oh yeah, this is the documentary.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Pay us. Who's getting paid? It's just, I don't know.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I want to see some real behind the scenes stuff.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I want to see some rehearsals.
- 7:22Speaker 5: I want to see some, You remember when Mike getting
- 7:24Speaker 5: ready to have that This Is It movie?
- 7:26Speaker 3: Yes.
- 7:26Speaker 5: And he was filming his last. I want some of that.
- 7:29Speaker 5: If you're not giving me that, then y'all just trying
- 7:31Speaker 5: to get money off Mike.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I don't like it.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:35Speaker 2: All right. Well, you're probably not going to like this then.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I don't like none of that. Another documentary coming out.
- 7:40Speaker 1: According to reports, Netflix has announced they're dropping a new
- 7:44Speaker 1: doc about Young Thug's YSL Rico trial.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Here we go. Oh, yeah.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I mean, if this goes, which is going to stream,
- 7:56Speaker 1: it's going to do numbers because everybody, a lot of
- 7:58Speaker 1: people were like me and you, Kiki.
- 8:00Speaker 2: We weren't as tapped in like Zach was. Yeah.
- 8:03Speaker 1: We're going to watch this. Then the next thing you're
- 8:04Speaker 1: going to see, the Diddy trial get ready to come out.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Then you're going to see who else was on trial. Dirk.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Dirk is going to be a big one. They probably
- 8:12Speaker 1: was in there recording away. The Dirt Trial. It's going
- 8:16Speaker 1: to be a lot of these trials that a lot
- 8:19Speaker 1: of the main masses have not tapped all the way
- 8:21Speaker 1: in on and start documenting.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Well, I want to see it because I still don't
- 8:28Speaker 4: know what Young Thug did for real. I was not
- 8:31Speaker 4: in tune with that at all. I just knew he
- 8:33Speaker 4: ended up in a RICO or whatever they were trying
- 8:35Speaker 4: to do. I didn't really know what was going on.
- 8:37Speaker 4: So I'll actually watch this one. for the Dirk documentary,
- 8:40Speaker 4: I feel like I didn't watch so much TikTok. You
- 8:43Speaker 4: know what I'm saying?
- 8:44Speaker 3: Like I pretty much.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Could be in it. Yeah.
- 8:46Speaker 3: You know, like I could do a little clip in
- 8:48Speaker 3: there too.
- 8:48Speaker 4: You know, I didn't watch that trial so hard, but
- 8:51Speaker 4: I love, you know, I am a judge on Mondays
- 8:54Speaker 4: and I love, I love to go to court.
- 8:57Speaker 3: So I want to see it.
- 8:59Speaker 5: Maybe I haven't eaten a day and I'm just negative,
- 9:04Speaker 5: but they want to show every damn courtroom except Nolan Wells.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Well, Come on. I'm sorry. Yep, took it there.
- 9:12Speaker 3: He the cousin.
- 9:13Speaker 4: He that one cousin today at the barbecue. Everybody getting
- 9:16Speaker 4: their plates. Y'all eating that? They can show every other documentary.
- 9:22Speaker 4: They got footage of everything. The one we want, they
- 9:24Speaker 4: close it off.
- 9:25Speaker 2: We want some. What happened with Nolan?
- 9:27Speaker 3: That's facts.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Keep his name alive. And don't let them distract us
- 9:31Speaker 2: with YSL. We know what happened with YSL.
- 9:33Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Well.
- 9:35Speaker 3: I need to know what happened with both, actually.
- 9:38Speaker 1: But my question is, the YSL documentary coming out about
- 9:42Speaker 1: the trial, we all know Gunna was in it. Yeah.
- 9:46Speaker 2: We all know they were calling him a rat.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Does this resurface, all this stuff come back out and
- 9:50Speaker 1: people start talking about Gunna again in a negative light
- 9:54Speaker 1: or maybe it clears them?
- 9:55Speaker 3: I hope it clears them.
- 9:56Speaker 4: I hope it i hope it clears them but i
- 9:57Speaker 4: think there's no more damage that can be done with
- 9:59Speaker 4: that because if most people who are watching it if
- 10:02Speaker 4: they were ever in gunna's situation would have done what
- 10:05Speaker 4: gunna did a lot sooner than gunna did it so
- 10:09Speaker 4: um i hope it does shine a different aspect a
- 10:12Speaker 4: light on uh gunna's gunna's aspect of the whole thing so.
- 10:16Speaker 1: There's not many human beings on the planet, I don't care,
- 10:18Speaker 1: street dudes or whatever, when they say you getting ready to.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Get 20 years.
- 10:22Speaker 3: For something you didn't do?
- 10:23Speaker 1: 20 years, you doing something. When they start throwing them,
- 10:28Speaker 1: they know the numbers to throw at you.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Yes.
- 10:30Speaker 1: And they going to talk to you about your family.
- 10:33Speaker 1: They going to talk to you about friends and how
- 10:35Speaker 1: people going to be. And then they going to hit you.
- 10:37Speaker 1: This is what you probably going to get.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Exactly. So.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:41Speaker 1: So, you know, when people talk about the telling, I
- 10:44Speaker 1: get it. I'm not in that life, but I understand it.
- 10:47Speaker 2: For sure.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Please don't do no crimes around me. Please don't put
- 10:52Speaker 4: me in no position to.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Have to testify. We know you telling. You write reviews.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Write reviews.
- 10:58Speaker 2: I'm telling. I got the footage. I'm going live.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I put something on your book, Zach. But if
- 11:04Speaker 4: they ask me, did I do it or did Zach
- 11:06Speaker 4: do it?
- 11:06Speaker 3: You did it.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Y'all, hey.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Sorry, I keep Noah. He come stay with me. I
- 11:14Speaker 3: bring him to visit you and everything.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Damn.
- 11:17Speaker 3: But I ain't going to jail for you. Absolutely not.
- 11:20Speaker 2: All right.
- 11:20Speaker 1: 56 years, Drake has flowers while on the Crew Has
- 11:24Speaker 1: It show, talking about how you can't take nothing from
- 11:27Speaker 1: Drake when discussing his run and rap music. We actually
- 11:30Speaker 1: have some sound from that. Let's take a listen to this.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Listen to 50.
- 11:35Speaker 6: You know how bad people wanted Drake to lose?
- 11:38Speaker 2: Everybody except me.
- 11:39Speaker 3: So bad.
- 11:39Speaker 6: And look, even if the record is a loss in
- 11:42Speaker 6: context as far as the battle.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:44Speaker 6: I was in Canada. I was talking and I said,
- 11:47Speaker 6: let me ask you a question. What did you lose?
- 11:49Speaker 6: I said, no, no.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Think.
- 11:50Speaker 6: I want you to think about it and tell me
- 11:51Speaker 6: what exactly did you lose? And he said, nothing. He
- 11:55Speaker 6: didn't lose anything. He said nothing. I said, okay. So
- 11:59Speaker 6: don't get emotional about the state of what people are saying.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:03Speaker 6: That is just, that is going to pass, bro. You
- 12:05Speaker 6: see what happened? He put three albums out at once
- 12:07Speaker 6: to perform it because you can't just replace him at
- 12:10Speaker 6: the present moment. He's a hybrid. He's going to give
- 12:12Speaker 6: you good R & B music and then some shit
- 12:15Speaker 6: that we actually like on some rap.
- 12:20Speaker 2: I ain't mad at 50 for saying that. Yeah, I know.
- 12:22Speaker 1: I rock with Drake. And, I mean, I thought Kendrick
- 12:24Speaker 1: did his thing. I think Kendrick put himself in a
- 12:27Speaker 1: different lane by beating Drake. I think the album came back,
- 12:30Speaker 1: and I was like, if he make another one of
- 12:32Speaker 1: those albums where we got to.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Sit back and be like, okay, yeah, Kendrick can rap.
- 12:36Speaker 2: You heard the wordplay. No, Kendrick came. He beat Drake.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Came with an album that had hit, hit, hit, hit,
- 12:42Speaker 1: hit on it and went away.
- 12:46Speaker 2: He did what Kendrick did.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Kendrick really, if he really wanted to be a superstar
- 12:49Speaker 1: at that moment, would have kept coming out with records.
- 12:52Speaker 2: He would have had a record top of the year.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I think that when you want to be that level
- 12:58Speaker 1: of superstar, it takes a person like a Drake.
- 13:01Speaker 2: It takes a person like a Jay-Z. It takes a
- 13:03Speaker 2: person like Chris Brown.
- 13:05Speaker 1: The people that when they have their foot on your
- 13:07Speaker 1: neck and have all the attention, they keep coming with stuff.
- 13:12Speaker 2: What do you mean if you want to be a superstar?
- 13:14Speaker 3: Because he is a superstar now.
- 13:17Speaker 2: He's a superstar, but he's not... Here we go.
- 13:20Speaker 3: He's not commercially like Drake, is what she's saying.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, there's a level of superstar, right? There's
- 13:26Speaker 1: a level of superstar. When you a superstar, you have
- 13:29Speaker 1: to keep feeding the public. And then once you reach
- 13:34Speaker 1: to a certain height, then you can kind of coast. Beyonce,
- 13:37Speaker 1: in the middle of her superstar-ness, when she comes out
- 13:40Speaker 1: with a great record and everybody's talking about, I'll just
- 13:42Speaker 1: name Lemonade, right? She doesn't say, all right, well, Lemonade's
- 13:46Speaker 1: doing good. All right, well, I'm going to just chill.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I'm going to chill for a little bit. No, you
- 13:51Speaker 1: get the tour. Then you get probably another year later
- 13:55Speaker 1: after the tour, top of the year, you get the
- 13:57Speaker 1: No Beyonce album.
- 13:59Speaker 2: When superstars are.
- 14:01Speaker 1: In the middle of their runs, when they're really at
- 14:03Speaker 1: the height of their superstardom, you're getting something from them
- 14:06Speaker 1: every single year.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Kendrick kind of gives them something and goes away.
- 14:11Speaker 3: I think it's two different types of superstars.
- 14:13Speaker 4: There's Drake, who is going to mass produce, continually put out,
- 14:17Speaker 4: continually collab with all these different people, try different genres,
- 14:21Speaker 4: do all these different things. And then you have superstars
- 14:23Speaker 4: like Kendrick Lamar, who give you a quality project and
- 14:26Speaker 4: then sit back and allow you to absorb it and
- 14:30Speaker 4: sit with it and appreciate it. And so I think
- 14:33Speaker 4: they both end up on the same level of superstardom.
- 14:36Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying? Because Kendrick Lamar is Kendrick Lamar.
- 14:41Speaker 4: He is a superstar. But he just doesn't operate the
- 14:44Speaker 4: same way a Drake does. And I think both are
- 14:48Speaker 4: right to be superstars. You know what I'm saying? Just
- 14:49Speaker 4: because somebody is in your face more doesn't make them.
- 14:52Speaker 2: A bigger superstar. In my opinion. It does. I can
- 14:56Speaker 2: see that. I can see what you're saying.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Yeah, it's commercial.
- 14:59Speaker 5: Because it commercializes you and you're more in people's face.
- 15:01Speaker 5: You're more on the blogs.
- 15:02Speaker 2: It's Michael Jackson. I get what you're saying.
- 15:07Speaker 3: But nobody's going to say Prince isn't a superstar.
- 15:09Speaker 2: I'm not saying that.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Nobody's going to say that.
- 15:12Speaker 2: But there is a level to it. There's a level.
- 15:17Speaker 3: I think it's fame.
- 15:18Speaker 5: No, but I think what you're saying, though, that person
- 15:21Speaker 5: that you're talking about, the Michael Jackson that you're talking about,
- 15:26Speaker 5: even like the You know, the albums coming in and
- 15:29Speaker 5: other albums coming up.
- 15:30Speaker 2: They were working like that before they hit they height.
- 15:32Speaker 5: And then when they hit they height, they continued to
- 15:34Speaker 5: work like that.
- 15:35Speaker 2: What's the name?
- 15:36Speaker 5: Kendrick has always his his strategy has always been, you know,
- 15:40Speaker 5: he takes time in between projects. This time he got
- 15:43Speaker 5: in the beef, got really hot, put the album out,
- 15:46Speaker 5: did his thing. And it didn't change his he didn't
- 15:48Speaker 5: change his strategy because more eyes were on him.
- 15:51Speaker 2: You know, I'm saying dominated. Do you hear what I'm
- 15:54Speaker 2: talking about?
- 15:55Speaker 3: He did dominate y'all.
- 15:56Speaker 2: He did dominate, but he could have really, in my opinion.
- 16:00Speaker 5: But you can also burn out like that. You have
- 16:03Speaker 5: seen it to even, I hate to say it, but
- 16:06Speaker 5: I'm going to say it.
- 16:06Speaker 2: We got to keep it real.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Kiki's goat, you know what I'm saying, was putting himself
- 16:10Speaker 5: out so much that it was like, it kind of
- 16:13Speaker 5: got like.
- 16:14Speaker 3: I've said that before.
- 16:14Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 16:15Speaker 5: Like song after song after song after song after song,
- 16:17Speaker 5: it kind of got like, damn, a little. you can
- 16:20Speaker 5: get stale too so you don't have to just beat
- 16:23Speaker 5: it down people's throat and it takes a different it
- 16:25Speaker 5: takes a different type of talent to be able to
- 16:27Speaker 5: do that you like.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Ye I love Ye Ye didn't stop he didn't make
- 16:31Speaker 1: college drop out and then say hey everybody y'all love
- 16:34Speaker 1: that that's great no he came.
- 16:36Speaker 5: With another album your first album way better than your
- 16:39Speaker 5: fifth album that wasn't Kendrick's first album but I know
- 16:42Speaker 5: but my thing Kendrick.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Was on his what a writer had to tell you.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Yeah Right over here, like, watch your mouth.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Right, right. He like told that. But I get what
- 16:54Speaker 2: you're saying.
- 16:54Speaker 5: What you're saying is in that battle, it put Kendrick
- 16:58Speaker 5: on a different level and it introduced different people to
- 17:00Speaker 5: Kendrick Lamar. But I just don't think that Kendrick Lamar
- 17:03Speaker 5: cares as much as... Drake does in that regard.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Nobody was riding around listening to Kendrick Lamar's albums outside
- 17:14Speaker 1: of Ryder and other million people like Ryder.
- 17:17Speaker 2: He is super popular. When he released GNX.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Everybody was like, everybody is listening to Kendrick.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Kendrick getting played in the club. Kendrick getting played in
- 17:28Speaker 2: the strip club. Kendrick getting played in the cars.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Kendrick's on video games. It was a different level of
- 17:35Speaker 1: Kendrick Lamar.
- 17:35Speaker 5: And when he come back, people going to listen again.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Of course.
- 17:38Speaker 1: But I'm saying if he had came right back with another,
- 17:42Speaker 1: another which he's capable of because he's highly skilled, it
- 17:46Speaker 1: would have, One, it could have really put real pressure
- 17:49Speaker 1: on Drake if he would have been considered, quote unquote,
- 17:52Speaker 1: the king of rap.
- 17:54Speaker 5: But you want him to be a fast food restaurant
- 17:56Speaker 5: and that man cook soul food.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Oh, hello.
- 17:58Speaker 2: So it's like he can't make it. What you going
- 18:01Speaker 2: over there? That was good. That wasn't nothing. Because, you know,
- 18:03Speaker 2: I love a little food.
- 18:05Speaker 3: I tell people all the.
- 18:06Speaker 4: Time, baby, I was made in a crock pot. What
- 18:08Speaker 4: you eating over there is microwaved.
- 18:09Speaker 2: That's how he cook. It's a difference. He cook slowly, bro.
- 18:12Speaker 5: And you can't change his process and be like, oh,
- 18:14Speaker 5: if you would have just came out with something faster.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Yeah, but it might not have been as good. You
- 18:18Speaker 2: don't know that. I just think.
- 18:21Speaker 5: He's a superstar. The man performed at the Super Bowl.
- 18:23Speaker 5: It don't get bigger than that.
- 18:25Speaker 2: It does not get.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Bigger than that. He won like 70,000 Grammys.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a superstar. You want him to go to where?
- 18:31Speaker 2: Where is there to go?
- 18:34Speaker 3: It's to dominate.
- 18:34Speaker 2: What do you want him to go?
- 18:36Speaker 3: He want him to drop three albums like Drake.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Yeah, at the same time, three mid albums.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Skip, skip, skip, mid, mid.
- 18:41Speaker 2: No, one good and two mids.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Skip, skip, good, mid.
- 18:45Speaker 2: It's mid, mid, mid, skip, skip.
- 18:47Speaker 3: I wouldn't know because I ain't listen to that mid shit.
- 18:52Speaker 3: I play the hits. All right. Shout out to Kendrick.
- 18:56Speaker 3: He just dropped one with Jhene Aiko.
- 18:59Speaker 2: It's great.
- 19:00Speaker 1: That's fire. That's a fire album. That's a fire record.
- 19:03Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying. Because you had the world
- 19:08Speaker 1: by the short and curlies that you had it, you
- 19:11Speaker 1: should have been like, all right, I'm about to hit
- 19:14Speaker 1: you with this.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I'm going to hit you with this. You perform at
- 19:17Speaker 2: Super Bowl, Saturday Night Live. There is.
- 19:20Speaker 1: certain things that when you are a rap superstar and
- 19:24Speaker 1: you are dominating you do Kanye West back to back
- 19:29Speaker 1: to back albums, SNL, clothes, doing this, where you Jay-Z, Beyonce,
- 19:36Speaker 1: Chris Brown, Usher. When I'm naming these names, all of
- 19:40Speaker 1: the time, they never said, hey, take this great project.
- 19:43Speaker 2: All right, I'ma chill. They do it all the time.
- 19:45Speaker 2: They never did that.
- 19:46Speaker 1: None of the greats never sit back and just say,
- 19:50Speaker 1: here's this great project.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Beyonce do it all the time. Beyonce do it all
- 19:54Speaker 2: the time. Wait a minute. Beyonce does it. Hov did
- 19:57Speaker 2: not do that.
- 19:57Speaker 3: When the last time you got a Hov album?
- 20:00Speaker 2: He's done. He's out of his run. When he was
- 20:02Speaker 2: running it, it was coming every summer. He did drop one.
- 20:04Speaker 5: It was coming every summer. From like 01 to 07,
- 20:07Speaker 5: he dropped every year.
- 20:08Speaker 2: He dropped it. But what I'm saying is Beyonce stops
- 20:12Speaker 2: all the time. She never goes back to back to back.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Now she doesn't have to do it. Beyonce, when her
- 20:16Speaker 1: run was, when she was on her way She was
- 20:18Speaker 1: still taking about two, three years in between the job,
- 20:19Speaker 1: wasn't she?
- 20:20Speaker 2: No, no. Go ahead.
- 20:21Speaker 3: She takes her time.
- 20:22Speaker 4: But the point is, you can still be a superstar
- 20:24Speaker 4: and you don't have to be oversaturating the market.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Period.
- 20:28Speaker 4: Because when you oversaturate the market, people tell you down quicker.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Quicker.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Okay. All right.
- 20:37Speaker 6: Okay.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Keep it moving. All right. That Google search didn't go
- 20:41Speaker 2: the way he planned. No, I didn't have time to pipe.
- 20:43Speaker 2: You're tearing the keys up over there, baby.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Because I can hear them. 2003, her first album.
- 20:46Speaker 2: 2006, her second album. 2008, her second album. Her third album. 2011,
- 20:48Speaker 2: her fourth. 2013, her fifth. 2016, her sixth. 2022 with Renaissance.
- 20:49Speaker 2: 2024 with Cowboy Carter. So she took about a year
- 20:51Speaker 2: and a half, and there was a tour in there, too, though.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Those are tours in there. Some of those, and some
- 21:10Speaker 1: of those, and some of those years, those are tours
- 21:12Speaker 1: in there and they're movies in there. Cause you remember
- 21:15Speaker 1: she's a movie star early. Then you got to remember
- 21:18Speaker 1: we were, it was.
- 21:19Speaker 2: We was getting Beyonce. If you reach her now, once you,
- 21:23Speaker 2: once you, once you, you're not wrong.
- 21:25Speaker 3: People just have different goals and aspects.
- 21:28Speaker 2: I'm not reaching. I'm just saying.
- 21:30Speaker 5: I'm just saying Beyonce took time in between each project, bro.
- 21:33Speaker 5: Beyonce was, She doesn't have the same strategy as Drake.
- 21:37Speaker 3: B2K just dropped a new single.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Oh, my God. In the pod. Stop it now. All right.
- 21:44Speaker 2: That's it.
- 21:45Speaker 3: I just got the notification. I know. That's right.
- 21:47Speaker 2: What's it called? Let's listen to it on the pod.
- 21:49Speaker 3: It's called Lil Freak.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Lil Freak. They still trying to. They just said they
- 21:53Speaker 2: were so grown. Why they singing to Kiki?
- 21:55Speaker 3: Lil Freak.
- 21:56Speaker 2: I can't wait to listen. Kiki, let's listen to it
- 21:58Speaker 2: a little bit. Can we listen to 10 seconds of it?
- 21:59Speaker 3: No, because they're going to shut us down. All right.
- 22:01Speaker 2: 10 seconds.
- 22:02Speaker 3: YouTube, they'll play.
- 22:03Speaker 2: But tell them it's your podcast. They'll be like, he
- 22:06Speaker 2: can keep it. Bro-rilla. Let's get to this.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Bro-rilla has issued an apology to her sister, Glorilla.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Take a listen to this.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Like, I'm like, like, go, I apologize. Because I'm in
- 22:19Speaker 3: your shoes now. Well, I'm not in your shoes because
- 22:20Speaker 3: you're rich as a.
- 22:21Speaker 2: You a millionaire.
- 22:23Speaker 3: I'm a thousandaire.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Let's not forget that.
- 22:24Speaker 5: But even with me being a thousandaire, I still was giving, giving, giving, giving, giving, giving, giving, giving.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Exit, exit, exit. Crossed you, crossed you, crossed you. Crossed you,
- 22:36Speaker 3: crossed you, crossed you. I was some and then you
- 22:39Speaker 3: done helped them out. So, like, I understand where Glo
- 22:42Speaker 3: coming from. Like, stop it. Don't let it begin.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Memphis people are hilarious. Giving, giving, giving, giving. Asking, asking, asking.
- 22:53Speaker 2: I'm going to make out that other word.
- 22:55Speaker 4: I can't wait to use this. I can't wait to
- 22:58Speaker 4: use this sound. The moment somebody asks me for something,
- 23:00Speaker 4: I'm sending them the.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Clip of this.
- 23:01Speaker 2: I'm giving, giving, giving, giving. It's literally a meme now.
- 23:06Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 23:06Speaker 2: She's been there. She's been there.
- 23:08Speaker 4: She is giving us the new Boosie vibes, black youngster vibes.
- 23:12Speaker 4: She is that internet character. But, yeah, that's how she
- 23:16Speaker 4: feel it. She done got little thousands in her pocket
- 23:18Speaker 4: and see how her sister feel.
- 23:20Speaker 6: Right.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 23:22Speaker 2: All right. Well, let's go ahead and keep it moving, man.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Tina Nose, and more were present at
- 23:27Speaker 1: the grand opening of the Nose Rowland House, a housing
- 23:31Speaker 1: development in Houston to provide housing for homeless families in Houston.
- 23:36Speaker 2: They continue to do great work. Shout out to them.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I love this. Yeah, I love this. If you.
- 23:41Speaker 4: reached a certain level of success, you should always go
- 23:43Speaker 4: back to your neighborhood and do something.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Something. Book bags, turkeys, pay some bills. But we sick
- 23:52Speaker 3: of that.
- 23:52Speaker 2: What? We like what she do. No, go ahead. Keep it.
- 23:55Speaker 3: You're just so nasty and negative today. You know what?
- 23:58Speaker 4: You just said all I want to do is inspire
- 24:00Speaker 4: the people. You got something negative to say about that.
- 24:02Speaker 4: What is your problem?
- 24:04Speaker 3: What is going on? Didn't you go back to Gary
- 24:07Speaker 3: and help them people with their lights down? What is
- 24:09Speaker 3: the problem? You ever met somebody that's mad at every
- 24:14Speaker 3: damn thing? Goodness gracious. I said give the people a turkey.
- 24:20Speaker 2: He is upset.
- 24:23Speaker 5: I be mad because the turkeys be frozen. And y'all
- 24:26Speaker 5: get them homeless people frozen turkeys. What the hell they
- 24:28Speaker 5: going to do with them turkeys?
- 24:29Speaker 3: Tell them. I don't care.
- 24:30Speaker 4: Do something in your community, in your neighborhood, if you
- 24:34Speaker 4: have the means. Building an apartment building for people is incredible.
- 24:39Speaker 2: It's incredible.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Yes.
- 24:40Speaker 2: That is amazing. That's incredible.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Now, why you hate that?
- 24:42Speaker 2: No, I love that. I was just, I love, I
- 24:45Speaker 2: love that. Give and give and give and give.
- 24:48Speaker 3: Everything I say. Give me, give me.
- 24:51Speaker 2: You want to fight?
- 24:52Speaker 3: What is going on?
- 24:57Speaker 2: God damn.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Do something in the community. Give me, give me, give me. Angry, angry, angry.
- 25:09Speaker 3: That's not today, y'all. Oh, God. We need some food.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I don't know what it is. I think I am hangry.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Yep.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Y'all hangry. And we can still keep having a conversation.
- 25:20Speaker 2: They just canceled my call just now.
- 25:21Speaker 3: They did? Well, they ain't canceled mine.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Keep going. Give it, give it, give it, give it.
- 25:30Speaker 2: All right.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Montez Sweat has been suspended from the Bears for the
- 25:34Speaker 1: next two games without pay for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing
- 25:38Speaker 1: substance policy. That is our defensive end that we traded for,
- 25:43Speaker 1: gave a lot of money to, and he got.
- 25:46Speaker 2: To sit out.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Now, how did he get caught?
- 25:48Speaker 2: Somebody told on him. What? No, usually they just randomly.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Drug test?
- 25:53Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh. Randomly.
- 25:58Speaker 3: So what did he get caught with, a little steroid?
- 26:00Speaker 2: I don't know. They say performance enhanced, and he ain't performed.
- 26:04Speaker 2: His performance ain't been enhanced.
- 26:06Speaker 3: What the heck?
- 26:08Speaker 2: It ain't working. It ain't working. They should have just
- 26:10Speaker 2: threw that little out. Like, you ain't doing good enough.
- 26:12Speaker 2: It ain't like he been, like, going crazy. Yeah, you
- 26:14Speaker 2: ain't lighting him up. Really?
- 26:16Speaker 1: But a lot of times, if you don't know, this
- 26:18Speaker 1: is all alleged, so don't try to sue people. This
- 26:21Speaker 1: is alleged. But this is what I've heard. A lot
- 26:24Speaker 1: of times when they say it's performance-enhancing substances, a lot
- 26:28Speaker 1: of times, especially if they not performing like performance-enhancing stuff,
- 26:32Speaker 1: what it is is they use it to heal faster.
- 26:36Speaker 1: to get back, whatever it is, to heal up so
- 26:39Speaker 1: they'd be fresh for the next game.
- 26:41Speaker 2: And sometimes the stuff.
- 26:43Speaker 1: That they use have those things in it, and they
- 26:46Speaker 1: haven't researched it.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Or they may have, and they know, and they don't.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Think it's enough to get caught, and then they get caught.
- 26:53Speaker 2: But a lot of times, that's the most of them.
- 26:55Speaker 1: You don't see people doing superhuman, crazy stuff, especially for
- 26:59Speaker 1: a sport like football that's constantly, just constantly physical contact.
- 27:04Speaker 2: They use it to heal. Two sacks, five tackles.
- 27:07Speaker 3: That's all he got.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Five games.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Ooh.
- 27:10Speaker 6: Tough.
- 27:10Speaker 5: That is not a performance. If you enhance yourself to
- 27:14Speaker 5: play like that.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Then it's old.
- 27:16Speaker 3: He probably tipped them off. He probably said, come drug
- 27:18Speaker 3: test me. I'm ready to sit down. Right. I'm tired anyway.
- 27:21Speaker 2: He took it right before the test.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Yeah, he said, come get me. Please let me sit
- 27:26Speaker 3: down for a little bit. I understand. That's how I
- 27:27Speaker 3: used to do for the Mal run. Anything, any reason.
- 27:31Speaker 3: I used to fake all kind of stuff.
- 27:33Speaker 1: That is hilarious, man. The mile run, Kiki got triggered
- 27:37Speaker 1: over that mile run.
- 27:38Speaker 3: That's my trauma.
- 27:40Speaker 2: All right. Ask the pod. Tell them how they do it.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Oh, yes.
- 27:43Speaker 4: You know what to do, fam. It is your time
- 27:45Speaker 4: to join the show, okay? We actually could use a
- 27:48Speaker 4: little help today because Zach is hungry. So hit that
- 27:52Speaker 4: talk back mic on the iHeartRadio app and join the conversation.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Give us your feedback. Ask a question.
- 27:58Speaker 4: And we have to address it on our Sunday show
- 28:00Speaker 4: that plays right here on WGCI that airs on WGCI
- 28:04Speaker 4: Sundays at 4 o'clock.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Yep. So ask the pod. Ask us anything and we'll answer.
- 28:10Speaker 2: We'll help you. We'll help you is right. We'll help
- 28:14Speaker 2: you not get the right answer.
- 28:16Speaker 3: Help us help you.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Right. Who is somebody you want to get a documentary
- 28:21Speaker 1: about their life that you would watch?
- 28:26Speaker 3: I'm scared to answer. Go ahead, Zach. He ain't going
- 28:30Speaker 3: to like whoever I say.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Right. Who's that? Y'all come to me later. Soon as we.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Say something, they don't need no documentary.
- 28:43Speaker 2: You know, that's what I'm ready to do. I'm ready
- 28:46Speaker 2: to disagree.
- 28:47Speaker 4: I really want a documentary on Boosie. That man has
- 28:51Speaker 4: had nine lives.
- 28:52Speaker 2: I ain't mad at that.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Murder case, cancer.
- 28:56Speaker 4: He got all them kids. He got a compound. I
- 28:59Speaker 4: have so many questions for Boosie.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Boosie.
- 29:03Speaker 4: I never get to interview him because he charged for
- 29:04Speaker 4: his interviews, and you know I don't play that. So
- 29:07Speaker 4: because I'll never get a chance to talk to Boosie,
- 29:09Speaker 4: I would love a documentary about his life.
- 29:12Speaker 3: That's a good one, though.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:15Speaker 5: Who would I want a documentary on? So when you
- 29:19Speaker 5: say documentary, oh, my God. What exactly are we documenting? Documentary, documentary.
- 29:29Speaker 3: You don't pick somebody.
- 29:31Speaker 2: I got one. I got a couple while you're trying
- 29:33Speaker 2: to think.
- 29:34Speaker 3: He is really glitching.
- 29:35Speaker 2: He's glitching today, bro. His blood sugar is low. Give me,
- 29:39Speaker 2: give me. I would say Nas because he doesn't talk
- 29:42Speaker 2: a lot.
- 29:42Speaker 3: That's true.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Nas.
- 29:44Speaker 1: So I would love to hear some, especially some stories
- 29:46Speaker 1: from Nas. And then the next one would be Denzel.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Okay.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Denzel, yes. Denzel.
- 29:56Speaker 3: I would like an Oprah documentary.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Okay.
- 29:58Speaker 2: I ain't mad at that.
- 29:58Speaker 3: Queen Latifah documentary.
- 30:00Speaker 5: I want to see a documentary. It's not just going
- 30:03Speaker 5: to be one person. It's going to be all the
- 30:06Speaker 5: people who had hit records.
- 30:08Speaker 3: And went away.
- 30:08Speaker 2: But then they had to go back to their job.
- 30:11Speaker 3: That's a good one.
- 30:12Speaker 5: Like their regular job. Because they only had that one song.
- 30:15Speaker 5: It only lasted so long.
- 30:16Speaker 2: So they had to go get a regular life.
- 30:19Speaker 3: That's a good one.
- 30:20Speaker 5: Like the people who made Swag Surfing. It'd be like
- 30:22Speaker 5: a group of people. People who made Swag Surfing.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Bubba Spar.
- 30:26Speaker 3: Jaquan.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Jaquan. I'm not naming none of these people. No, these
- 30:30Speaker 2: are people that you know had to go work.
- 30:32Speaker 6: Yep.
- 30:33Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 30:34Speaker 5: You know, but they had a hit. Like, the hit's
- 30:36Speaker 5: so big, the hit, like, everybody know them.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Yep.
- 30:40Speaker 5: So they still might get a little show money. Like,
- 30:41Speaker 5: I'm not saying that they, they may not be booked
- 30:43Speaker 5: every weekend, but they can still make money off of
- 30:46Speaker 5: that song.
- 30:46Speaker 2: One song. And then they can go, and then they
- 30:48Speaker 2: go do their other job. Jaquan didn't have no other hit.
- 30:52Speaker 2: What did Jaquan have other than Tipsy? Tipsy. Nope. Everybody
- 30:59Speaker 2: in the club getting tips. Yeah, it was good, but
- 31:01Speaker 2: Jaquan had to go back to work. Damn. Yeah.
- 31:05Speaker 5: Ain't nothing wrong with going back to work, but I
- 31:06Speaker 5: just think that it would be funny to, I mean,
- 31:08Speaker 5: it would be interesting to watch them go from touring
- 31:12Speaker 5: to going back to regular life.
- 31:14Speaker 1: What was the name of that song?
- 31:19Speaker 2: You got to give us a little more than that.
- 31:20Speaker 1: I know.
- 31:21Speaker 2: I can't.
- 31:22Speaker 5: He said, what's the name of that song?
- 31:27Speaker 2: Uh, ooh, something. I couldn't get it. Give it something.
- 31:32Speaker 2: If it had a football game, it'd be like. Sheck Wes? Yeah, yeah,
- 31:36Speaker 2: Sheck Wes, yeah. I got home. Yeah, that's what I
- 31:38Speaker 2: was doing. That's another one, yeah. Yeah, he had a
- 31:41Speaker 2: huge record.
- 31:42Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Gotta go to work. Gotta go to work. Yeah, you
- 31:45Speaker 2: gotta clock in. Yeah, you gotta clock in. Damn.
- 31:47Speaker 3: I would watch that.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Yeah. I think I had one and it disappeared. I
- 31:53Speaker 2: was thinking about it, but it's gone.
- 31:54Speaker 4: I miss shows like Behind the Music.
- 31:56Speaker 3: Y'all remember that? Y'all used to watch that? Behind the Music.
- 32:00Speaker 4: Day in the Life. It used to be on MTV
- 32:03Speaker 4: with the artists. I love to see stuff like that now.
- 32:06Speaker 2: People got to go back to work. It's the same.
- 32:09Speaker 2: All right.
- 32:12Speaker 1: What is your pet peeve when it comes to driving
- 32:14Speaker 1: on the road?
- 32:17Speaker 2: Where else do you drive?
- 32:19Speaker 3: See how mad he is?
- 32:22Speaker 2: No, he got a list of them.
- 32:23Speaker 3: He could have let that. Did you hear what he said?
- 32:25Speaker 2: No.
- 32:26Speaker 3: You said, what was your, you was like, read your
- 32:28Speaker 3: question again.
- 32:29Speaker 2: I said, what is your pet peeve when it comes
- 32:31Speaker 2: to driving on the road?
- 32:32Speaker 3: And he goes, well, she driving.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Well, she going to drive. Don't be a dick. I
- 32:39Speaker 2: don't drive on the grass. If you ain't on the road,
- 32:41Speaker 2: what are you driving? What do you drive if you're not.
- 32:42Speaker 3: On the road?
- 32:44Speaker 1: I've never seen somebody so mean. I'm just reading the question,
- 32:48Speaker 1: you dickhead.
- 32:49Speaker 3: That is so funny.
- 32:50Speaker 2: She's like, wait a minute. I didn't hear him. Where
- 32:53Speaker 2: else you driving? Damn, bro. Get something to eat, dog. Yes.
- 32:57Speaker 2: I'm on the road.
- 32:58Speaker 3: I hate a slow driver, though.
- 33:00Speaker 2: You need to slow down.
- 33:03Speaker 1: No.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Because people who hate slow drivers drive too fast. Exactly.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Because I'm a cruiser. I like to go slow. Really? Yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 33:10Speaker 2: He drive slow?
- 33:11Speaker 1: What?
- 33:11Speaker 3: I would have never known that about him.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Oh, what? I think it's because we both got old parents.
- 33:16Speaker 3: Oh, you drive slow, too?
- 33:17Speaker 2: Ooh, yeah. You be cruising. I be cruising. I be cruising.
- 33:21Speaker 3: Say what you call this, cruising.
- 33:22Speaker 2: I like to just chill. I don't want to go fast. Oh, well.
- 33:26Speaker 4: I'm the one behind y'all honking, cussing. Because y'all, that's
- 33:30Speaker 4: too much anxiety. Throwing up gang signs. And I'm doing
- 33:33Speaker 4: too many things.
- 33:34Speaker 3: Oh, that's not good.
- 33:36Speaker 2: That isn't, but. Nah, I don't do anything while I'm driving.
- 33:40Speaker 2: I'm listening. I'm chilling. I'm driving.
- 33:44Speaker 1: That's like the office. I take all my calls in
- 33:46Speaker 1: the car. I return calls. That's usually where I talk
- 33:49Speaker 1: to my parents at. That is 100% my parents. Hey, mom,
- 33:54Speaker 1: what you doing?
- 33:55Speaker 2: Dad, where you at?
- 33:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I hate a slow driver.
- 33:59Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 33:59Speaker 3: What do y'all like? That's me.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Kiki be like.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Move your son, mother... Hey, where are you going? Where
- 34:11Speaker 2: are you going?
- 34:13Speaker 4: I be all out the window, like, I be throwing
- 34:15Speaker 4: them games, like, everything.
- 34:16Speaker 3: I be so mad.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Putting the flat, the high beams on them. People flashing.
- 34:22Speaker 2: I don't.
- 34:23Speaker 1: That's my peppy. Don't flash me. Don't flash me. And
- 34:27Speaker 1: don't do that. I hate people to ride close to
- 34:29Speaker 1: my car, to get on my bumper. I don't like that.
- 34:32Speaker 1: I don't like none of that. I like to chill.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Don't be doing all that.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Don't do too much. Really don't do all that when
- 34:39Speaker 1: there's elements out there. I hate people that be driving
- 34:41Speaker 1: wild in the rain and the snow.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that's crazy work.
- 34:45Speaker 3: What's y'all biggest pet peeve about a passenger in your car?
- 34:50Speaker 2: Don't. Okay. Mess with my settings. Don't. Yes. My settings
- 34:57Speaker 2: is my settings. That's the way I like it. Okay.
- 35:00Speaker 5: And don't try to control what we gonna listen to.
- 35:04Speaker 5: Unless I ask you. I may be like, hey, what
- 35:08Speaker 5: you want to listen to? Then that's where you do it.
- 35:10Speaker 5: But if I'm listening to something.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Oh, go back. No, I don't want to go back.
- 35:17Speaker 2: I'm going to stay right here because this is what
- 35:18Speaker 2: I'm listening to right now. Oh, I don't want to
- 35:20Speaker 2: hear that. Well, that's cool. You ain't got to want
- 35:22Speaker 2: to because you riding with me at this point.
- 35:24Speaker 5: When I'm driving, this is my time to play whatever
- 35:29Speaker 5: the hell I want to play.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Okay? Don't do that. That bothers me.
- 35:34Speaker 3: Okay.
- 35:34Speaker 5: Now, pet peeve as a passenger. I got a friend.
- 35:40Speaker 5: Every time we drive in Atlanta, he got to point
- 35:42Speaker 5: out everything.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Oh. He got to tell you everything. But he done
- 35:45Speaker 2: told me this thing a million times.
- 35:47Speaker 3: Like you ain't never been to Atlanta before?
- 35:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like I ain't never. He tells me the same. Yeah, T,
- 35:51Speaker 2: I grew up right there.
- 35:52Speaker 3: Oh, I love people like that.
- 35:53Speaker 2: You be like, uh-huh. I love people like that. Right there.
- 35:55Speaker 5: That's what drove them. You ever heard the song, Show Darlene?
- 35:59Speaker 5: That's where they shot the video, right there, right in
- 36:01Speaker 5: front of that.
- 36:03Speaker 2: There you go. Everything is a point.
- 36:05Speaker 3: I might be that person.
- 36:06Speaker 2: And he'd show you everything. And I'd be like, Lo,
- 36:09Speaker 2: you should show me this. I think I'm that person, too.
- 36:10Speaker 3: I love that.
- 36:11Speaker 1: I think I'm that person. I think my son, he
- 36:13Speaker 1: had to tell me, he's like, you told me that before.
- 36:15Speaker 2: You told me that.
- 36:15Speaker 3: You told me that.
- 36:16Speaker 2: I was like, my bad, dog.
- 36:17Speaker 1: I was like, my bad. Like, yeah, I grew up
- 36:18Speaker 1: right there. I said, it used to be a good
- 36:21Speaker 1: place to eat right here.
- 36:23Speaker 2: I love that.
- 36:25Speaker 1: All this used to be. Oh, I'm definitely that guy.
- 36:30Speaker 1: We passed Lincoln Mall. Shout out to people who remember
- 36:32Speaker 1: Lincoln Mall. I was like, over there, son? I was like,
- 36:36Speaker 1: that was a teenage heaven. You could go meet girls
- 36:40Speaker 1: constantly over there.
- 36:42Speaker 5: But I want you to know that we care because
- 36:45Speaker 5: we have an emotional attachment to what we're showing them.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Yes.
- 36:47Speaker 2: But all they see is an abandoned building. Exactly. And
- 36:51Speaker 2: they don't care that much. They're like, okay, well, that's cool.
- 36:53Speaker 3: That's cool. I like that.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, my other pet peeve is when I park.
- 36:58Speaker 1: I park far away for a reason. And then they
- 37:01Speaker 1: go park right next to you when there's plenty of spots.
- 37:04Speaker 1: I like you did that on purpose.
- 37:06Speaker 2: What you mean? Somebody like.
- 37:07Speaker 1: So if I go, I park far away. Because you
- 37:10Speaker 1: don't want nobody next to your car.
- 37:12Speaker 2: No. Right.
- 37:13Speaker 3: No.
- 37:13Speaker 1: I used to didn't care at first until I had
- 37:16Speaker 1: a bunch of dings in my car. I started getting
- 37:18Speaker 1: a bunch of dings. And then when I had to
- 37:20Speaker 1: get them fixed, I was like, oh, no, that's a
- 37:23Speaker 1: little bit of bread. So now I park far. Far away,
- 37:27Speaker 1: I don't want no dings in my car. And then
- 37:29Speaker 1: somebody pull up next to you. And it's still way
- 37:31Speaker 1: more parking. They're like, you just pull up right.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Next to me. Now I got to move. Like, why?
- 37:36Speaker 3: All these other parks.
- 37:37Speaker 2: All these other parks. I come outside, I'm like, like, bro.
- 37:42Speaker 2: That's it. I hate that.
- 37:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 37:44Speaker 4: I hate when somebody get in my car and start
- 37:46Speaker 4: pointing out the little signs on my dashboard.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Like, hey, hey, hey, I know I need a road change.
- 37:54Speaker 3: I know. I know I need some breaks. Like, I
- 37:56Speaker 3: don't need you. I hate that.
- 38:00Speaker 4: Please, just get in here and pretend like you don't
- 38:02Speaker 4: see none of this like I do every day.
- 38:04Speaker 2: You know, like, please.
- 38:06Speaker 3: I hate that.
- 38:07Speaker 2: No, then check into the light. I know what's up.
- 38:12Speaker 2: That's definitely me. I ain't gonna lie. I'm one of them. Like,
- 38:16Speaker 2: so what's going on with your car?
- 38:18Speaker 3: Don't worry about that. Don't worry about that.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Just exit.
- 38:21Speaker 3: Get to the radio part.
- 38:22Speaker 2: That's it.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Don't worry about it.
- 38:24Speaker 2: I got us.
- 38:25Speaker 3: I hate that. Don't get in my car pointing out nothing.
- 38:28Speaker 3: Just sit down. Put your seatbelt on.
- 38:29Speaker 2: That's so funny. Another thing.
- 38:31Speaker 4: I hate when a person drive and don't put the
- 38:33Speaker 4: seatbelt on. You hear the noise like I hear the noise. Like,
- 38:37Speaker 4: you hear that noise. Put the seatbelt on.
- 38:40Speaker 3: What is wrong with you? I don't understand that.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Yes. You a heathen. People that do that, they can
- 38:46Speaker 2: take that like ding, ding, ding, ding. If you can
- 38:48Speaker 2: take that, and don't be on the phone with that girl.
- 38:50Speaker 3: Oh, I hate it so bad.
- 38:52Speaker 2: With C-Bell.
- 38:52Speaker 3: Yes.
- 38:53Speaker 2: C-Bell, C-Bell. Like, I don't like that. Because you mute
- 38:56Speaker 2: me for everything else.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Right.
- 38:58Speaker 5: When you pulled up to that drive-thru, you sure got quiet.
- 39:02Speaker 5: All I heard you say was thank you. You didn't
- 39:05Speaker 5: want me to hear that order.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Come on. I ain't going to lie.
- 39:08Speaker 1: So when you go to a drive-thru or you order
- 39:09Speaker 1: food and you And let's say you, just anything.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Do you mute to people when you order your food?
- 39:16Speaker 3: That's real fat to me.
- 39:18Speaker 2: I do. I don't mute it. I let it be known.
- 39:20Speaker 2: I mute it.
- 39:21Speaker 4: The moment you mute it, I really think you over
- 39:22Speaker 4: there ordering some big fat back greasy stuff now.
- 39:25Speaker 1: I'm like, hold up, I'm about to pull up, sir.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Let me get a piece of puff. Let me get
- 39:30Speaker 1: extra fries. Especially if they know I got my allergy
- 39:34Speaker 1: and I know they're going to be like, you know
- 39:36Speaker 1: you're going to be sick.
- 39:36Speaker 2: I don't want to hear that. I already know.
- 39:39Speaker 1: I made the decision to come to Portillo's and get
- 39:41Speaker 1: this Italian beef.
- 39:43Speaker 4: Ryan do that all the time I love when he
- 39:44Speaker 4: do it and then he pull to the next window
- 39:46Speaker 4: and they be like so you had the big mac with.
- 39:48Speaker 3: The extra I be like damn I'm on the phone
- 39:50Speaker 3: damn you had.
- 39:51Speaker 4: A big he be trying to mute it and then
- 39:54Speaker 4: they come back and repeat your order.
- 39:56Speaker 3: He be shook I be like uh huh you ain't
- 39:58Speaker 3: hit mute.
- 39:58Speaker 4: Fast enough I do it all the time you knew
- 40:01Speaker 4: I was big when you called me you know what
- 40:03Speaker 4: I'm saying nothing I'm about to order in this drive
- 40:05Speaker 4: through should shock you I want.
- 40:07Speaker 2: To inspire you with my.
- 40:09Speaker 3: Order I want to let you know it's a safe space.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I do.
- 40:12Speaker 5: I be like, shoot, you need to go down to
- 40:13Speaker 5: Harold's because I'm always ordering some Harold's.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Zach live at Harold's.
- 40:17Speaker 3: He need to go now. Yeah.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Go to Harold's, bro.
- 40:21Speaker 3: Treat yourself.
- 40:22Speaker 2: I went last week. Do something, man, because you have
- 40:25Speaker 2: been mean. All right. Thoughts for the pod.

- 40:55Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 41:00Speaker 4: Stephanie Garcia. Shout out to you, friend. She said, we
- 41:02Speaker 4: are not about to overlook Kiki's bars. She said, there
- 41:06Speaker 4: ain't nothing to eat because you ain't brought home no bacon.
- 41:08Speaker 3: Come on, period. Yes.
- 41:11Speaker 2: You caught that when I spoke to her. Journey Jones.
- 41:14Speaker 2: That means she can't cook.
- 41:15Speaker 4: No, that means he need to bring home some bacon.
- 41:19Speaker 4: Funny episode per usual. Zach Geek is homecoming week. Love
- 41:24Speaker 4: from Bama.

- 41:28Speaker 2: love y'all.
- 41:33Speaker 4: Woo, y'all finally being honest about something Jay-Z related. Most

- 41:40Speaker 4: That's from Erica Range.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Damn.
- 41:43Speaker 3: We love a little compliment mixed with some insults. She
- 41:47Speaker 3: shaded us and said good job at the same time.
- 41:50Speaker 4: Let me see. Bridget Hampton. OMG, the ragging on each
- 41:54Speaker 4: other early got me screaming.
- 41:57Speaker 3: Okay, okay.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Where you from?
- 42:00Speaker 3: Yeah, she didn't say.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Uh-oh.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Regina Hughes. Tone came in ready to fight.
- 42:05Speaker 2: Yes.
- 42:06Speaker 3: Yes, he did.
- 42:07Speaker 4: Talking about people who get evicted.
- 42:16Speaker 2: Where you from?
