- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York As they'll mark
- 0:04Speaker 1: some own show on seven tenor.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hey it's Monday already. Yeah, I'm afraid so, but it's uh,
- 0:13Speaker 2: you know, it's two weeks from today. Memorial Day is
- 0:16Speaker 2: two weeks from today. Summer begins unofficially. Then, Hey, we
- 0:20Speaker 2: get a lot to get to. We'll get to these
- 0:22Speaker 2: stupid UFOs. I'm not that excited about it. We'll get
- 0:27Speaker 2: to that. We'll get to the Hunter of Virus. We'll
- 0:28Speaker 2: get to Iran, We'll get to China, we'll get to Texas,
- 0:31Speaker 2: We'll get to a crazy Mom Donnie. We'll get to
- 0:35Speaker 2: the Knicks and Eurovision and a whole lot more coming up.
- 0:39Speaker 2: As far as Iran, we'll get to the midterms too. Iran, well,
- 0:44Speaker 2: the talks are stalled, you know what. That's okay, it's
- 0:46Speaker 2: hurting them a lot, it's not hurting us in any way.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Oh that we get a little increase in the price
- 0:51Speaker 2: of oil, but it's nowhere near Biden prices, and we
- 0:55Speaker 2: got through four years of that. And again, it's only
- 0:57Speaker 2: a temporary high oil. They call it a spike, but
- 1:01Speaker 2: it's more just a slight high can oil. But Iran
- 1:06Speaker 2: talkstalled the latest peace proposal that Iran scent was totally
- 1:11Speaker 2: unacceptable to the US. Basically, they're arguing that we want
- 1:15Speaker 2: them to get rid of all nuclear material, no nuclear
- 1:18Speaker 2: or anything. They're arguing that they should be able to
- 1:21Speaker 2: keep at least a normal, a slight amount of nuclear
- 1:26Speaker 2: what they call their legitimate rights as a country to
- 1:28Speaker 2: have some commercial sort of nuclear. You know, there's nuclear
- 1:32Speaker 2: weapons and then there's commercial grade nuclear which is used
- 1:36Speaker 2: for energy or power plants, that sort of stuff. But again,
- 1:41Speaker 2: they're a very, very oil rich countries, so as far
- 1:44Speaker 2: as energy, they really don't need the nuclear and the
- 1:47Speaker 2: nuclear that you use for commercial is totally different from
- 1:52Speaker 2: weapons grade nuclear material. The commercial stuff is you know,
- 1:57Speaker 2: enriched to about twenty percent, when when it's nuclear weapons,
- 2:02Speaker 2: it's enriched to ninety percent. One of the reasons we
- 2:05Speaker 2: went to war they kept enriching They had the commercial
- 2:08Speaker 2: grade stuff twenty percent, they started enriching it to forty
- 2:11Speaker 2: fifty sixty, they were heading to seventy percent. They were
- 2:14Speaker 2: an inch away from getting to nuclear weapons, which would
- 2:18Speaker 2: be ninety percent. So you can't let them have even
- 2:21Speaker 2: the commercial grade because they keep enriching it. So that's
- 2:25Speaker 2: not going to work. We'll stall for a while and
- 2:27Speaker 2: at some point it looks like we'll have to resume bombing. Attacking.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Be a couple of days before anything happens. Now, the
- 2:35Speaker 2: President goes to China at the end of this week
- 2:38Speaker 2: for a couple of days. He might want to wait
- 2:41Speaker 2: until the end of the China trip because President Shei
- 2:43Speaker 2: of China has a lot of sway over Iran. That's
- 2:47Speaker 2: basically their big mentor there China. So President Trump meeting
- 2:54Speaker 2: with President she well, that could could get the is
- 3:00Speaker 2: done in Iran. She has a lot of influence there.
- 3:02Speaker 2: But maybe trumpant was to start the attacks while he's
- 3:04Speaker 2: meeting with she That's one Trump negotiating tactic. Do your
- 3:08Speaker 2: worst before the negotiation. Trump's done that a lot. You know,
- 3:12Speaker 2: sometimes you go into the negotiation, well, if I have to,
- 3:16Speaker 2: I'll threaten to sue. So if that's a good tactic,
- 3:20Speaker 2: what Trump does starts the lawsuit first, then begins the negotiation.
- 3:23Speaker 2: That way, the onus is on you to negotiate away
- 3:26Speaker 2: the lawsuit. So it could be something like that. We'll see.
- 3:31Speaker 2: The trip to China is this week. I heard Curtis
- 3:34Speaker 2: talking earlier about what if they try to poison them.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Is going to eat the food in China? Well, you know,
- 3:39Speaker 2: you got to be really afraid when you're in China.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Obviously they listening on everything. People that go over there told,
- 3:46Speaker 2: you know, don't bring your phone. They'll tap your phone,
- 3:48Speaker 2: they'll do this to your phone, they'll bed all kinds
- 3:51Speaker 2: of things. So technology wise, the government knows what The
- 3:56Speaker 2: White House knows what to do about that. As far
- 3:57Speaker 2: as food, there are trips where the president doesn't eat
- 4:01Speaker 2: the local food. On Air Force One, they have weeks
- 4:05Speaker 2: and weeks of food storage, and they got a huge kitchen,
- 4:09Speaker 2: and sometimes they prepare if he's on a trip somewhere
- 4:12Speaker 2: and they don't trust the locals, all the food for
- 4:15Speaker 2: every meal will come from Air Force One. He basically
- 4:19Speaker 2: is getting room service from food made on Air Force One,
- 4:22Speaker 2: where they know where they got it and they can
- 4:24Speaker 2: trust it. I don't know if they'll do that in China,
- 4:26Speaker 2: but many presidents have gone over there and eaten the
- 4:29Speaker 2: food there. Of course, didn't George hw. Bush pass out
- 4:32Speaker 2: there from whatever he ate. But all right, these UFOs,
- 4:39Speaker 2: they've released the files. All of a sudden, it's the
- 4:41Speaker 2: UFO stuff is going crazy. Is there something wrong with me?
- 4:47Speaker 2: I don't care about the UFOs. There could be aliens here.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Is there something wrong with me? I just don't care.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Doesn't bother me. They're here, they're not here. If they're here,
- 4:58Speaker 2: seems okay, they don't that's it's not like these illegal
- 5:01Speaker 2: aliens where they come and clog up your city and
- 5:04Speaker 2: take money and commit crimes. And if these UFO aliens,
- 5:09Speaker 2: if these extra terrestrials are here, I mean, they're not
- 5:11Speaker 2: really bothering us. They're they're not collecting checks from the government,
- 5:16Speaker 2: they're not taking up parking spaces, they're not clogging up
- 5:20Speaker 2: the subway, they're not driving, they're not causing traffic. But
- 5:23Speaker 2: they're really not bothering them. But they said, oh, they've
- 5:25Speaker 2: been here for years, they're bedded. Well, if that's the case, fine,
- 5:30Speaker 2: they seem to keep pretty quiet.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Now.
- 5:32Speaker 2: The other thing is they always tell you these UFOs
- 5:34Speaker 2: are here, And it was in Rosalin, New Mexico, they
- 5:37Speaker 2: were You know, if you came from another planet, if
- 5:42Speaker 2: you came like nine million light years to get here,
- 5:46Speaker 2: and you got here over America and you're looking around,
- 5:49Speaker 2: who the hell would go to New Mexico? I mean,
- 5:50Speaker 2: you look around, even if you just got here, even
- 5:52Speaker 2: if you've never been to the earth before, you don't
- 5:54Speaker 2: know anything about it. You look down and you see
- 5:56Speaker 2: New York City. Oh wow, this looks like the center.
- 5:58Speaker 2: This looks like the most important place that. Hell would
- 6:02Speaker 2: you go to New Mexico for.
- 6:05Speaker 4: That?
- 6:05Speaker 2: Hell? Would you go to Montana? Why would you land?
- 6:07Speaker 2: I mean, looking around if you just got here, You're
- 6:11Speaker 2: looking at the lights in New York, You're looking at
- 6:13Speaker 2: the incredible Miami Beach, You're looking all and then you
- 6:16Speaker 2: look at Montana, go, this looks like the spot for
- 6:18Speaker 2: Nobody would say that, But I don't know. Let me
- 6:21Speaker 2: know what you think. Are you worried about this and
- 6:23Speaker 2: not worried about this? It doesn't bother me at all?
- 6:26Speaker 3: Uh or.
- 6:29Speaker 2: The other thing with Iran, carg Island is where they
- 6:33Speaker 2: store all their oil. It's where their oil refineries are.
- 6:37Speaker 2: It's been put out a commission for US from US
- 6:39Speaker 2: because they can't get near it. It's been about two months.
- 6:42Speaker 2: There's been some oil slicks off Carg Island. I think
- 6:46Speaker 2: maybe there's leaking in one of the refineries or something
- 6:49Speaker 2: gone wrong there. Since it's been abandoned for a couple
- 6:52Speaker 2: of months and this is like the second oil slick
- 6:53Speaker 2: we've seen around there. It's possible a stray missile hit
- 6:57Speaker 2: a tank or something like that. State troopers. This is
- 7:05Speaker 2: very bad what these state troopers are doing. We love
- 7:08Speaker 2: the New York State Troopers. They do great work, excellent organization.
- 7:12Speaker 2: They got a great superintendent. But you know, you see
- 7:17Speaker 2: them hiding on the It's not just state troopers, but
- 7:19Speaker 2: all these cops. You know, they hide on the highway,
- 7:20Speaker 2: they hide on the parkway, they hide on the expressway.
- 7:24Speaker 2: They always know the spot where you suddenly it curves
- 7:27Speaker 2: and as you turn around, it's too late. There they are.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Or they got a billboard they hide behind, or there's
- 7:32Speaker 2: a place where there's like an indentation in the trees.
- 7:34Speaker 2: They can hide in their and you can't see them
- 7:36Speaker 2: ahead of time. Although nowadays if you got you know,
- 7:42Speaker 2: waves and if you're using the Google Traffic, Apple traffic,
- 7:45Speaker 2: it always gives you a warning about the speed cameras
- 7:48Speaker 2: and sometimes state troopers up ahead. But now what they're doing,
- 7:54Speaker 2: it's pretty smart on their part. But you know, when
- 7:55Speaker 2: there's a construction zone, they're doing a little construction on
- 7:58Speaker 2: the side of the highway supposed to slow down instead
- 8:01Speaker 2: of fifty five, the sign will say construction zone, lower
- 8:05Speaker 2: speed to thirty. Nobody really does that. You're gonna go thirty.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I mean, you know you're gonna be careful as you
- 8:11Speaker 2: go by the construction zone. You might slow down a little,
- 8:14Speaker 2: but you're not going to go that little low speed.
- 8:17Speaker 2: So they're putting state troopers in the construction zones dressed
- 8:21Speaker 2: as construction workers with the big yellow vest, with the
- 8:25Speaker 2: construction hat on, with the hard hat. So you'll see
- 8:29Speaker 2: twenty construction workers in the construction zone. Now it'll turn
- 8:34Speaker 2: out ten of them are undercovered, disguised state troopers who
- 8:39Speaker 2: will then see you speeding because you don't think you
- 8:41Speaker 2: see any cops, and you keep going the regular speed
- 8:43Speaker 2: limit and they'll give you a ticket. Apparently this has
- 8:45Speaker 2: been incredibly effective, almost one thousand tickets in four days,
- 8:50Speaker 2: a thirty five percent increase. This is unfair, these state troopers.
- 8:58Speaker 2: All you police, you should not be able to high
- 9:00Speaker 2: behind it. I guess they're doing a good thing. They're helping,
- 9:03Speaker 2: helping stop speeding. It is a dangerous thing, but disguising
- 9:07Speaker 2: yourself as construction workers. Now here's the problem is this
- 9:12Speaker 2: gets out and everybody knows they're disguised as construction workers.
- 9:15Speaker 2: People will go very slow during a construction site. You're
- 9:18Speaker 2: gonna have to think of something else. You know what
- 9:21Speaker 2: you should do. Disguise yourself as little old ladies, you know,
- 9:24Speaker 2: disguise yourself as the mother on Golden Girls. Get an old, old,
- 9:28Speaker 2: old car and drive real slow on the highway. You know,
- 9:31Speaker 2: people always zoom by it, having no idea that you're
- 9:34Speaker 2: actually the police. And then all of a sudden you
- 9:36Speaker 2: turn on the sign that might work. But this is terrible.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I mean, first of all, people should be suspicious because
- 9:46Speaker 2: they disguise themselves as construction workers. But all of a sudden,
- 9:49Speaker 2: people notice when you drive by the construction site, some
- 9:52Speaker 2: of them are actually working. They've never seen that before.
- 9:55Speaker 2: You know, any construction site there always just standing there.
- 9:58Speaker 2: They're always just standing there. You know, like when you
- 10:00Speaker 2: you get the manhole cover open on the street here
- 10:03Speaker 2: and this like steam coming out, and the big sign.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Men at work. You see one guy having coffee, one
- 10:08Speaker 2: guy's having his lunch, two guys are on the phone.
- 10:10Speaker 2: You never see anybody actually working. Hey, the most horrible
- 10:14Speaker 2: story this weekend. This was just awful. A plane landing
- 10:19Speaker 2: on a runway hits somebody. Apparently he jumped over the fence.
- 10:25Speaker 2: I don't know what he was doing. He jumped over
- 10:27Speaker 2: the fence of the airport. The runway's all fenced off,
- 10:30Speaker 2: but he gets over the fence tries to run across
- 10:31Speaker 2: the runway. Now, you gotta remember it. As a plane
- 10:33Speaker 2: comes into land, it's coming in at about like four
- 10:37Speaker 2: hundred miles an hour, and even on the runway it can,
- 10:41Speaker 2: you know, be one hundred and eighty miles, and it's
- 10:43Speaker 2: like a it's like a Formula one car coming in
- 10:45Speaker 2: on the run So it hit this guy and he
- 10:49Speaker 2: went into the engine and it just turned in. It
- 10:55Speaker 2: just diced him and sliced him a million ways. It
- 10:58Speaker 2: just turned him into power. But passengers were looking out
- 11:02Speaker 2: the window and they saw as the guy went into
- 11:05Speaker 2: the engine, his legs were sticking out of the engine
- 11:07Speaker 2: swirling around. His legs were twirling. It was the most
- 11:09Speaker 2: sickening sight and then apparently caused an engine explosion, which
- 11:14Speaker 2: sent smoke into the cabin. They had to do an
- 11:17Speaker 2: emergency evacuation where you come down those slides. But listen
- 11:20Speaker 2: to the pilot when he hits this guy.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Job Rutre forty three five. We're stopping on the runway.
- 11:27Speaker 4: We just hit somebody. We have an engine park.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Yeah, so the guy went into the engine, got all
- 11:33Speaker 2: turned into dust and caused an engine explosion, smoke, and we've.
- 11:38Speaker 5: Got the smoke and the aircraft.
- 11:41Speaker 4: We're going to evacuate on the runway.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Yeah. One passenger, Well, here's one passenger.
- 11:48Speaker 6: He was getting ready to take off and then it
- 11:51Speaker 6: felt like a big speed bump. And then I looked
- 11:55Speaker 6: at the right. I see the wing is on fire
- 11:58Speaker 6: and it's sparking.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Oh, yes, it was taking off. I got it wrong.
- 12:00Speaker 2: It was taken off. That's even worse because you go
- 12:03Speaker 2: faster on the takeoff. You have to get up enough
- 12:05Speaker 2: speed to go up, so that could be a couple
- 12:08Speaker 2: one hundred miles an hour. Wow, there's one passenger. He
- 12:13Speaker 2: and his son. They just happened to be looking out
- 12:15Speaker 2: the window and saw the guy get just made mince
- 12:20Speaker 2: meat out of them. But they were so traumatized and
- 12:23Speaker 2: so sick. They were going on a vacation but they
- 12:24Speaker 2: couldn't go. They just canceled the trip. They couldn't sleep,
- 12:27Speaker 2: they were having nightmares. Horrible thing.
- 12:31Speaker 3: You know that.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Eurovision is like the biggest talent show in the world. Eurovision,
- 12:38Speaker 2: it's not well known in this country, but it's a
- 12:40Speaker 2: big deal all over the world. It's a big deal
- 12:43Speaker 2: in Europe. Eurovision is like American Idol and the Olympics combined.
- 12:49Speaker 2: It's the Olympics American Idol Olympics size. It's a massive event.
- 12:54Speaker 2: It's the biggest thing of the year in Europe. Eurovision.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Thirty five countries participate. Whoever wins Eurovision becomes a music superstar.
- 13:02Speaker 2: It always happens. One year there was a group. They
- 13:07Speaker 2: also have intermissions. It's on television in thirty five countries,
- 13:11Speaker 2: like a zillion people watch it on television, and then
- 13:14Speaker 2: during the intermissions they have a group play. One year
- 13:16Speaker 2: of the group was called Abba. That's where they were
- 13:19Speaker 2: discovered and they did a song called Waterloo and because
- 13:22Speaker 2: of Eurovision next thing, you know, was the number one
- 13:24Speaker 2: song in the world. But it's a big, big deal.
- 13:26Speaker 2: So Eurovision is to take place in Vienna this year.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Pretty soon. Iran is now threatening Eurovision. It's again it's
- 13:34Speaker 2: like the Olympics. It goes on for a couple of days.
- 13:37Speaker 2: There's like an Olympic village. There's a Eurovision village. It's
- 13:41Speaker 2: a massive event with a ton of people. So Iran
- 13:44Speaker 2: is threatening. It isis is threatening it This has become
- 13:48Speaker 2: a security nightmare. Remember that happened to Taylor Swift concerts
- 13:51Speaker 2: in Europe they had to cancel them. But it's happening
- 13:54Speaker 2: to Eurovision security.
- 13:56Speaker 7: Here's a director, we have helicopters, we have many, many
- 14:00Speaker 7: different people, bomb squads, K nine units, everyone with a
- 14:03Speaker 7: special specialty and the special use. Many of those special
- 14:08Speaker 7: units will not be visible for the duration of the
- 14:11Speaker 7: week and always on sites and can intervene in a
- 14:15Speaker 7: moment's notice.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Yeah, well, it's still pretty scary anyway. We'll take some
- 14:20Speaker 2: calls in a minute. Let me know about these UFOs.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Do you care? Do you not care? I know there's
- 14:24Speaker 2: people who listen to that the Flying Saucer Show every night.
- 14:27Speaker 2: That's like the biggest show all over the country. People
- 14:29Speaker 2: are addicted to these UFO shows. I'm late, you know,
- 14:32Speaker 2: after midnight. It just doesn't I really don't care. I mean,
- 14:39Speaker 2: let's say you got some extra terrestials, see more work
- 14:42Speaker 2: for Tom Homan. He'll get him out of here. But
- 14:44Speaker 2: let me know, we'll take some calls. Next, we can
- 14:46Speaker 2: talk about whatever you want. Eight hundred three to two
- 14:48Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. Is the number eight hundred three
- 14:52Speaker 2: to two one zero seven ten in Mark.
- 14:56Speaker 1: On Demand by setting up presead for his podcast, asked
- 15:00Speaker 1: on the iHeartRadio app. Now back to Mark Simon on woor.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Hey, let's they can calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:15Speaker 2: zero seven ten. Is the number eight hundred three two
- 15:18Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. Let's go to Marty in Connecticut. Marty,
- 15:21Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 15:23Speaker 8: I'm going, man, I'm talking about the death of CBS
- 15:26Speaker 8: News on CBS Good Morning yesterday. And the guy who
- 15:32Speaker 8: reports is really the silver haired guy. I can't even
- 15:35Speaker 8: watch him, but he missed a lot of points like
- 15:39Speaker 8: Walter Cronkite a sound bited him once, didn't talk about
- 15:43Speaker 8: the guy who discovered CBS Sunday Morning. And you can
- 15:47Speaker 8: see the inconsistency of this awful I used to listen
- 15:52Speaker 8: to the Eighth Out of New York all the time,
- 15:53Speaker 8: but they're always so bad.
- 15:57Speaker 2: So you just found out CBS News is not ABS
- 16:00Speaker 2: News anymore.
- 16:01Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't want to listen to but I wont no.
- 16:03Speaker 2: It's a terrible, it's terrible. It's nothing, nothing like it was.
- 16:06Speaker 2: It's totally biased. It's just awful. That's why they brought
- 16:10Speaker 2: in Barry Weiss. Maybe you can get it back. It's
- 16:13Speaker 2: never going to be what it was, but get it
- 16:14Speaker 2: back in that direction. You got to remember back then,
- 16:16Speaker 2: television net millions and millions and millions of you, you know,
- 16:20Speaker 2: Walter Kronkit, twenty million people who watch them at night
- 16:23Speaker 2: nightly news. Now you're lucky if you get four million, uh,
- 16:26Speaker 2: even these Sunday shows. You know, it used to be
- 16:28Speaker 2: ten million, twelve million, fifteen. Now the Sunday shows are
- 16:30Speaker 2: one million. So you're not going to be able to,
- 16:33Speaker 2: you know, pay for a big news stay. You know,
- 16:35Speaker 2: back in the good old days, said Walter Cronkite, Eric Severed,
- 16:38Speaker 2: Bob Scheffer, you had Dan Reddy had a million giant names,
- 16:41Speaker 2: Roger Mudd all in this one news room. You can
- 16:44Speaker 2: you can't afford that anymore. Now it's a I mean
- 16:48Speaker 2: different thing. You see a time where if you ask
- 16:50Speaker 2: anybody who's the anchor the CBS Evening News, nobody could
- 16:53Speaker 2: tell you. Nobody would know. Go to the CBS building,
- 16:56Speaker 2: ask people, half of them won't know. Nobody knows. Let's
- 16:59Speaker 2: go to Let's go to Mark in South Carolina. Mark,
- 17:03Speaker 2: how you doing, good sir? How are you today?
- 17:07Speaker 5: I'm glad to be on the air with you. These
- 17:10Speaker 5: guys are these aliens, they keep coming from god knows where,
- 17:15Speaker 5: from millions and millions of miles. How come they keep
- 17:18Speaker 5: crashing if they're so smart?
- 17:20Speaker 2: Well, and they're all crashing, And the good news is
- 17:22Speaker 2: where are you South Carolina? The good news they all
- 17:24Speaker 2: go to South Carolina. They never come here. They don't
- 17:26Speaker 2: bother us in New York. That's two. Can you figure
- 17:28Speaker 2: that out? Where they trying to save money in Texas?
- 17:31Speaker 2: Why are they in South Carolina or New Mexico or
- 17:33Speaker 2: all these kind of places.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Well, well they are saving taxes and they don't have
- 17:37Speaker 5: to worship Hocel.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Well you guys like to rub it in, don't you.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Anyway?
- 17:42Speaker 2: Good, thank you for calling. Let's go to Michael in
- 17:46Speaker 2: beautiful Oyster Bay. How you doing, Michael?
- 17:49Speaker 3: Hey?
- 17:50Speaker 9: Mark, I think all this UFO hype and going on
- 17:52Speaker 9: now is just to.
- 17:53Speaker 5: Promote Steven Spielberg's movie coming out about actually terrestrials.
- 18:00Speaker 2: But President, that's all coming out because the President released
- 18:02Speaker 2: the files. But who knows, maybe he's trying to help
- 18:04Speaker 2: the movie.
- 18:05Speaker 9: Yes, I paid off Oyster Bay.
- 18:07Speaker 2: That's a good place for it. See, if I were
- 18:09Speaker 2: a UFO, i'd go to Oyster Bay.
- 18:11Speaker 4: You got oh we have some aliens, ye have probably,
- 18:14Speaker 4: But you.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Got Wild Honey, that great restaurant. It's in the it's
- 18:17Speaker 2: in the building that was Theodore Roosevelt's summer white house.
- 18:20Speaker 2: You got Cooper Bluff it's there.
- 18:22Speaker 10: Yeah, his cemetery.
- 18:23Speaker 5: His plot is here too, in Oyster Bay. This is great,
- 18:27Speaker 5: really great place.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Actually, yeah, and you can his house is there. Thanks
- 18:30Speaker 2: for calling, Michael. You can take a tour of Theodore
- 18:32Speaker 2: Roosevelt's house. It's the most fascinating tour. They walk you
- 18:35Speaker 2: around and they go this is the floor, here's this
- 18:39Speaker 2: is a dining room table. He would sit here and
- 18:42Speaker 2: he would eat dinner. This is the living room. And
- 18:45Speaker 2: it's like the silliest tour. Let's go to rich in
- 18:48Speaker 2: Myrtle Beach. Rich How you doing.
- 18:51Speaker 9: Thanks for all a couple of quick points. So appos
- 18:53Speaker 9: the aliens. I believe when I see it. By my wife, Heather,
- 18:56Speaker 9: she watched she listens to Coast to Coast and watches
- 18:59Speaker 9: Ancient Alien on TV. She's all about this kind of stuff,
- 19:02Speaker 9: you know, but I'll believe it when I see it.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Well, there's two loads of people in the world. There's
- 19:06Speaker 2: people that don't believe any of this stuff, and there's
- 19:08Speaker 2: people that desperately want to believe this. Not desperately, but
- 19:11Speaker 2: they enjoy believing this. It's a fun hobby. They want
- 19:14Speaker 2: to believe this. Like you couldn't care less. Your wife
- 19:16Speaker 2: wants to believe this. She loves it.
- 19:19Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, But like I said, I'll believe it when
- 19:22Speaker 9: I see it. But she's all about it, you know. Uh,
- 19:25Speaker 9: this Trump and this Iran. You know, sometimes Trump can
- 19:28Speaker 9: want to deal so bad he'll stole a little bit
- 19:30Speaker 9: longer than he really should have. I think he should
- 19:32Speaker 9: have gone back in and just blown them all the hell,
- 19:34Speaker 9: just like he was talking about. And I don't know
- 19:36Speaker 9: if you covet it, but Virginia wants to get rid
- 19:39Speaker 9: of all they you it, all their Supreme Court justices
- 19:42Speaker 9: and say they're too old and make the thing fifty
- 19:44Speaker 9: four years old. And then they want to repack the
- 19:47Speaker 9: court just to get their redistricting plan. If that doesn't
- 19:51Speaker 9: show you how insane and how evil democrats are, nothing will.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Well, just desperate, Yeah, they want to and they want
- 19:58Speaker 2: to make fifty four mandatory retirement age for their Supreme Court.
- 20:03Speaker 9: That's younger than a pilot. That's younger than a pilot.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Oh, so you want a guy over fifty four. He's
- 20:07Speaker 2: got more, more experience, you know, more wisdom. That's what
- 20:10Speaker 2: you want. Let's go to Mark in Uh, how do
- 20:13Speaker 2: you say that? Hop it con New Jersey? Hope it
- 20:15Speaker 2: con Ah.
- 20:17Speaker 4: Try again, it's whole, pat Con.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Get some normal names. I want you right now, get
- 20:22Speaker 2: rid of these Indian names, like what's it called? Like,
- 20:25Speaker 2: hope it hop it con?
- 20:27Speaker 4: Hole pat Con? Very easy?
- 20:29Speaker 2: Oh, pat Con, No, it's not very easy. Hole pat Con.
- 20:33Speaker 4: Obviously you've never been here. It's amazing now here for
- 20:36Speaker 4: New Jersey. It's a little piece of paradise.
- 20:38Speaker 9: Oops.
- 20:38Speaker 4: I shouldn't put that on the air.
- 20:39Speaker 2: It's very nice. It's not amazing. I mean when people
- 20:43Speaker 2: go there and go, oh my god, this is amazing.
- 20:46Speaker 2: It's nice.
- 20:47Speaker 4: Well for New Jersey, for New Jersey.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Oh all right, and what do you want to.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Say, Mark, Well, I'm I'm upset with the state. They're
- 20:58Speaker 4: allowing gouging to go on. Where If you remember during
- 21:01Speaker 4: COVID they would prosecute anybody for gouging. And here you
- 21:04Speaker 4: have the state gouging these New Jersey transit writers who
- 21:09Speaker 4: have to go see that soccer game or the FIFA,
- 21:12Speaker 4: which I care less about. But how can they get
- 21:14Speaker 4: away with gouging at that percentage when it would be
- 21:17Speaker 4: illegal for any other entity?
- 21:19Speaker 2: Well, it is New Jersey. Did you ever see your
- 21:21Speaker 2: government there? Did you ever seen please, pauls you got
- 21:24Speaker 2: in that legislature? You ever see who's around the governor?
- 21:27Speaker 2: Look at the governor. I mean, you can't expect much
- 21:30Speaker 2: out of these people.
- 21:31Speaker 4: We get what we vote for. We deserve it.
- 21:33Speaker 2: That's true. All right, Well, thanks for calling, Mark. Let's
- 21:35Speaker 2: go to Ed in Allentown, Pennsylvania. How you doing, Ed?
- 21:40Speaker 10: Good morning, Mark, Thanks for taking my call. He made
- 21:43Speaker 10: me think of a personal best friend of mine who
- 21:45Speaker 10: died of food poison poisoning. And he had traveled to
- 21:48Speaker 10: China regularly. He had some contract business over there, and
- 21:52Speaker 10: he swore that the Chinese poisoned them. It's provable or not.
- 21:58Speaker 10: It has absolutely.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Although if you've been to China, much of it is
- 22:02Speaker 2: the dirtiest place on earth. It's all kinds of pollution
- 22:05Speaker 2: and crap and everything.
- 22:06Speaker 3: In the water.
- 22:07Speaker 10: He said he loved it. He said he loved it
- 22:09Speaker 10: over there. But one of the reasons for my call
- 22:12Speaker 10: was a suggestion that maybe he could bring the cocuen
- 22:15Speaker 10: Jeffries over his food taster with him.
- 22:17Speaker 2: No, no, no, Yeah, it is pretty filthy. I mean
- 22:20Speaker 2: there's parts of China, even major cities like Beijing where
- 22:23Speaker 2: you can't even see. The air is so thick with pollution.
- 22:26Speaker 2: And if you drink the water every day that you're there,
- 22:29Speaker 2: you'll probably not live much longer after that. It's really
- 22:32Speaker 2: polluted over there. Hey, when we come back, we'll talk
- 22:35Speaker 2: to the greatest columnists in the world. Michael Goodwin coming
- 22:39Speaker 2: up next. Lots to talk to him about right here
- 22:41Speaker 2: on seven to ten WR the.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Mark Simoniall on sevent ten wor.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Well, Michael Goodwin, the finest column list in America. You
- 22:53Speaker 2: can read his column every Sunday and every Wednesday in
- 22:57Speaker 2: the New York Post. And if you go to the
- 22:58Speaker 2: New York Post website, all of his columns are up
- 23:00Speaker 2: there and you should read them all. And he's with
- 23:03Speaker 2: us right now. Michael Goodwin, how you doing okay?
- 23:06Speaker 3: Mark?
- 23:07Speaker 11: Thank you?
- 23:08Speaker 2: Hey, I love the yesterday's call. Him about crazy Mom
- 23:10Speaker 2: Donnie and his tax the rich. And you know, this
- 23:15Speaker 2: is science to an economy. We know what works, we
- 23:18Speaker 2: know what doesn't work. What happened to follow the science?
- 23:22Speaker 2: Socialism has been tried ten thousand times, failed every time.
- 23:25Speaker 2: That's the experiment. That's so, that's right.
- 23:28Speaker 11: And it's almost as though he's financially illiterate and doesn't
- 23:34Speaker 11: want to learn.
- 23:35Speaker 3: I mean, this whole.
- 23:37Speaker 11: Thing could come crashing down on him if he's not
- 23:41Speaker 11: careful about the bottom line in the city.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Yeah, he starts with Ken Griffin and then a bunch
- 23:49Speaker 2: of others, Bill Ackman and Steve Roth joined in to
- 23:52Speaker 2: defend Ken Griffin. These billionaires pay all the taxes and
- 23:57Speaker 2: apparently Texas now is going after luring them down there.
- 24:01Speaker 2: What do you think will happen? Can these guys somehow
- 24:04Speaker 2: wake up or educate Mom Downey?
- 24:08Speaker 11: You know, Mark, you would think that he would want
- 24:12Speaker 11: that for his own political success and to make his
- 24:17Speaker 11: dream come true, because if he wants a lot more
- 24:22Speaker 11: tax money to fund the giveaways, now what he's doing
- 24:29Speaker 11: is actually going to result in probably fewer jobs and
- 24:34Speaker 11: there's fewer tax players and therefore less money for the
- 24:40Speaker 11: government to spend, so at some point is a policy
- 24:45Speaker 11: is self defeating for his own goals, and it's because
- 24:50Speaker 11: he doesn't seem to connect a, B and C together
- 24:55Speaker 11: in the way that the economy works. Yeah.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Also, what kind of politician is he? You know, every politician,
- 25:02Speaker 2: even Deblasio. When there's billionaires, here's my cell number. Call
- 25:05Speaker 2: me if you need any they will favor that they're
- 25:08Speaker 2: crazy and get donations in return. Does this mean he's
- 25:11Speaker 2: Mamdanni is actually honest.
- 25:15Speaker 11: I don't know that he's honest as much as much
- 25:18Speaker 11: as he.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Is a socialist true believer.
- 25:22Speaker 11: I really think he believes that nonsense, which is pretty amazing.
- 25:27Speaker 11: But a lot of his followers do too. I mean,
- 25:32Speaker 11: anybody who voted for him on the belief that he
- 25:36Speaker 11: was going to be able to fund every giveaway conceivable
- 25:41Speaker 11: under the sun. They're also ignorant, and they believe in
- 25:47Speaker 11: this socialist dream which has been destroyed every time it's
- 25:53Speaker 11: been tried in history, and yet he and they keep
- 25:58Speaker 11: marching on. We shouldn't exempt Governor Hocuel because she claims
- 26:05Speaker 11: to be a moderate, etc.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Etc.
- 26:08Speaker 11: But she is behind this Pierre to Tear tax. If
- 26:11Speaker 11: it weren't for her, it would not have passed.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, you know what, maybe don't know. Andrew Cuomo
- 26:18Speaker 2: does a radio show, probably the world's worst radio show.
- 26:21Speaker 2: But if you listen to this, you can't believe this guy.
- 26:24Speaker 2: He goes on and on it. But Democrats are too
- 26:26Speaker 2: far to the left and they're crazy with this Pierre
- 26:28Speaker 2: to terror attacks and the snow baild. He's the guy
- 26:31Speaker 2: that created all this stuff. He's the guy that started
- 26:34Speaker 2: talking about that Pierre to terror taxs. He was to
- 26:36Speaker 2: the left of everybody. Well, is he just delusional or
- 26:38Speaker 2: is he lying?
- 26:41Speaker 11: I think when he did those things, he was seeking
- 26:46Speaker 11: the votes of the left, and it was his way
- 26:51Speaker 11: of accommodating the progressive wave that was overtaking the government
- 26:58Speaker 11: New York government back in it's twenty eighteen, which is
- 27:03Speaker 11: the Trump first.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Term mid term and if you're a call mark.
- 27:08Speaker 11: The progressors took over the state Senate and they added
- 27:12Speaker 11: to the Democrats control of the Assembly.
- 27:15Speaker 3: So Cuomo was.
- 27:16Speaker 11: Kind of running away from them, but he decided he
- 27:21Speaker 11: would embrace them with the so called bail reform, raise
- 27:26Speaker 11: the age, all kinds of things that he did trying
- 27:31Speaker 11: to keep the left at bay. But now for him
- 27:35Speaker 11: to criticize it. There's some hypocripy involved.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Yeah, so back then, why couldn't you had all the
- 27:42Speaker 2: senior leaders of the Democrats in New York, You had Schumer,
- 27:45Speaker 2: and you had Cuomo, and you had Jildireann. Why didn't
- 27:49Speaker 2: they just stand up these guys and put their finger
- 27:52Speaker 2: in the damn there, they just stop it from happening.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a very good point.
- 27:58Speaker 11: My immediate response, once, Mark, is that the three people
- 28:02Speaker 11: you mentioned don't get along with each other necessarily, and
- 28:07Speaker 11: Cuomo didn't get along.
- 28:09Speaker 3: With any of them.
- 28:11Speaker 10: Quote.
- 28:11Speaker 3: That's the thing about Cuomo.
- 28:13Speaker 11: When he left allbody, of course, under the harassment and
- 28:19Speaker 11: the nursing home scandals, not a single person there stood
- 28:24Speaker 11: up for him. These are people he had known and
- 28:26Speaker 11: worked with for a decade. Not a single one raised
- 28:31Speaker 11: their hand and said, no, no, let's keep them as
- 28:34Speaker 11: a governor, Let's give him another chance. If he had
- 28:37Speaker 11: not resigned, he would have been impeached and convicted.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Well, uh, yeah, it's just it's just awful. But what's
- 28:47Speaker 2: gonna happen here? I mean, you might lose a couple
- 28:49Speaker 2: of billionaires, But will you've seen him come and go?
- 28:51Speaker 2: Will we get through four years of MONDAMMI will be
- 28:54Speaker 2: okay at the end of this.
- 28:56Speaker 3: I think it will depend.
- 28:59Speaker 11: On the circumstances and will there be enough of a
- 29:04Speaker 11: pushback against SOCO, against Mamdani that will slow down this
- 29:12Speaker 11: reckless race to the left with more taxes, more regulations.
- 29:19Speaker 3: If that happens. I mean, right now.
- 29:24Speaker 11: It looks as though Joko is headed for reelections. Unfortunately,
- 29:29Speaker 11: I don't know, but yeah, well it's early. But if
- 29:34Speaker 11: you had to make a guest based on the present circumstances,
- 29:38Speaker 11: so I think that there has to be a shock
- 29:41Speaker 11: to the system, whether it's bankruptcy in the city or
- 29:46Speaker 11: election changes. But you think back park to the city's
- 29:50Speaker 11: fiscal crisis in the mid to late seventies and early eighties.
- 29:56Speaker 11: I mean, you needed to get rid of the mayor
- 29:59Speaker 11: Abraham em at the time, and you needed a real
- 30:03Speaker 11: new system of controls that took it out of the
- 30:07Speaker 11: mayor's hands. That's what we're gonna need. I'm afraid in
- 30:11Speaker 11: the city again.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, now, Bruce Blakeman, I know he's behind. He
- 30:15Speaker 2: was like twenty points behind in the real polls. Now
- 30:18Speaker 2: he's like eight nine points behind. But that's the way
- 30:20Speaker 2: he was in Nassau County and he's still won both times.
- 30:23Speaker 2: So that's his pattern. I think he's got a good shot,
- 30:27Speaker 2: don't rule him out.
- 30:29Speaker 11: So he's definitely has a shot, no question about it.
- 30:34Speaker 11: I'm a little concern that he seems almost invisible. He's
- 30:39Speaker 11: not out there in a kind of aggressive, energetic way.
- 30:43Speaker 11: I think that will get him the attention he needs.
- 30:48Speaker 11: I refer in my column to a poll a c
- 30:51Speaker 11: in a pole worth sixty four percent of New York
- 30:55Speaker 11: State voters said they didn't know him or any anything
- 31:00Speaker 11: about him. That some had never heard of him. So
- 31:05Speaker 11: I think he's got to break through and that barrier.
- 31:09Speaker 11: He has to give people a new reason to give
- 31:12Speaker 11: him a serious look.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Yeah, he is working day and night though he's all
- 31:17Speaker 2: over the state. He's doing a million interviews, he's doing
- 31:19Speaker 2: a million appearances. But he's got to You're right, he's
- 31:22Speaker 2: got to get that get more coverage, and he needs
- 31:25Speaker 2: more money to do it.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:27Speaker 11: I think I think there's an energy thing too. He
- 31:30Speaker 11: has to kind of break through the news cycle. He
- 31:34Speaker 11: has to break through the sense of that she's inevitable.
- 31:39Speaker 11: I think he has to get people to enough people
- 31:43Speaker 11: to call down into question and then that makes it
- 31:46Speaker 11: a real race.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Yeah, so hey, what about this crazy AOC Now she's
- 31:51Speaker 2: talking about higher office. She's also got a lot of flack.
- 31:58Speaker 2: She argued that the American revolution is to get away
- 32:00Speaker 2: from the billionaires, and then everybody online, h I know,
- 32:03Speaker 2: explain things to her that Washington was a billionaire by
- 32:07Speaker 2: you know, by today's standards back then. So she has
- 32:11Speaker 2: no future, does she outside of Senate?
- 32:15Speaker 3: I hope not.
- 32:17Speaker 11: I wonder to watch he thinks the Boston tea party
- 32:20Speaker 11: was about just because Jillnaire is like tea or something.
- 32:24Speaker 11: I mean, what what a what a whack job.
- 32:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Well, Michael Goodwin, great talking to you, and keep up
- 32:31Speaker 2: the good work. You can read his column every Sunday
- 32:33Speaker 2: every Wednesday in the New York Post. All of his
- 32:36Speaker 2: columns are up on the New York Post website. Michael Goodwin,
- 32:39Speaker 2: thanks for being with us.
- 32:41Speaker 3: My pleasure. Thank you. Mark. All right, take care.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Yeah, now, Blakeman, Blakeman is a hard worker. He's out
- 32:47Speaker 2: there every day and he's all over the state. But
- 32:50Speaker 2: you're right, he doesn't. It doesn't get the coverage it
- 32:53Speaker 2: should get. And you know, well that's a lot of
- 32:58Speaker 2: the media that's just keeping living. But that'll change. Remember
- 33:00Speaker 2: it's very very very early. It's a long way away.
- 33:06Speaker 4: You know.
- 33:06Speaker 2: In politics, that many months is an eternity. Same thing
- 33:10Speaker 2: with the midterms. You everybody's trying to predict what's going
- 33:12Speaker 2: to happen in the midterms right now. It's way too
- 33:14Speaker 2: far an advance. This is like trying to predict the
- 33:16Speaker 2: twenty twenty eight Super Bowl. You just can't do it.
- 33:19Speaker 2: This fear in advance. Hey, we got a lot to
- 33:21Speaker 2: get to today. We'll get to Hey, we'll get to
- 33:24Speaker 2: some of these colleges, some of these college graduations have
- 33:28Speaker 2: turned into really, really disgusting events. We'll get to that
- 33:32Speaker 2: in a lot more coming up. Don't forget Buck and
- 33:34Speaker 2: Clay at noon today. They do a wonderful show every
- 33:37Speaker 2: day noon to three. Then you got the most listened
- 33:40Speaker 2: to radio show in America, Sean Hannity at three o'clock,
- 33:44Speaker 2: and he's going to go to China with the President
- 33:47Speaker 2: this week and he'll be covering it live for us
- 33:49Speaker 2: from there. And don't forget Jimmy Fayla, What a funny
- 33:52Speaker 2: show every night nine to midnight on seven to ten, wr.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Mark on seven tenor.
- 34:04Speaker 2: You know, they keep showing you these numbers. Crime is down,
- 34:06Speaker 2: murders down. This is murders at a very very low rate.
- 34:09Speaker 2: But you know, you gotta be careful with these numbers.
- 34:13Speaker 2: But a lot of stuff is up. Subway incidents not
- 34:17Speaker 2: looking great. You got this this madman, this crazy madman
- 34:22Speaker 2: who pushed somebody right into the tracks. Now he's an
- 34:24Speaker 2: absolute lunatic who's been arrested over and over and over
- 34:29Speaker 2: and over and over again, and these judges keep letting
- 34:33Speaker 2: them go with the no bail, no jail thanks to
- 34:35Speaker 2: Andrew Cuomo who gave us this no bail, no jail
- 34:38Speaker 2: crap causing all of this nonsense. So you look at
- 34:41Speaker 2: this guy's record over and over. He's arrested, he's in court,
- 34:44Speaker 2: they let him go, They let him go, They let
- 34:46Speaker 2: him go. So this guy did he attacks somebody anyways, crazy,
- 34:53Speaker 2: he's in the street, he's yelling and screaming like a maniac.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Of cops take him to Bellevue Psychiatric in handcuffs around
- 35:01Speaker 2: three point thirty in the afternoon. He's just like a
- 35:05Speaker 2: tonal maniac. So they take him to Bellevue. Bellevue lets
- 35:10Speaker 2: him go like in two hours. They think they've cured
- 35:12Speaker 2: him or something. They just let him go. He's back
- 35:14Speaker 2: out on the street, goes into a subway station at
- 35:18Speaker 2: eighteenth Street in Chelsea. Seventy six year old man is
- 35:22Speaker 2: coming down the stairs. This guy shoves him down the stairs,
- 35:25Speaker 2: throws him into the tracks, kills the guy the one
- 35:28Speaker 2: train in Chelsea. This is right after Bellevue let him out.
- 35:34Speaker 2: So whoever that was at Bellevue is responsible for this happening.
- 35:38Speaker 2: I mean, it's one thing with a judge just to
- 35:39Speaker 2: let him out, but Bellevue should never have let this
- 35:43Speaker 2: guy go. He's attacked people on subway cars over and
- 35:46Speaker 2: over again. He's meant to menaced people. So he kills
- 35:51Speaker 2: this guy. Now they drag him into court on Saturday,
- 35:56Speaker 2: and he's just nuts. He's a maniac. He's brought into court,
- 35:59Speaker 2: he's in front of the judge. He flashes a big
- 36:01Speaker 2: smile in the courtroom. He's laughing and smiling. Absolutely ridiculous.
- 36:07Speaker 2: The problem is you got these mentally ill people who
- 36:09Speaker 2: are not locked up as they should be, or not
- 36:11Speaker 2: in Bellevue where they should be, and a lot of
- 36:14Speaker 2: people pointing out Mayor Mom Donnie seems especially disinterested in
- 36:19Speaker 2: serious mental illnesses. What did he do. He offered his
- 36:23Speaker 2: condolences to the family, But this is the kind of
- 36:25Speaker 2: thing where he should be holding a press conference in
- 36:27Speaker 2: front of Bellevue, yelling and screaming about this, or he
- 36:30Speaker 2: should be putting together immediately a task for us to
- 36:33Speaker 2: do something about these mentally ill people all over the place.
- 36:36Speaker 2: But people around him say it's just not a priority.
- 36:40Speaker 2: He's spending more time in his thirty million dollar grocery
- 36:42Speaker 2: store that actually should cost two million, or yelling about
- 36:46Speaker 2: where Ken Griffin lives than doing something about this. This
- 36:50Speaker 2: is a serious, serious threat to people, and he's not
- 36:53Speaker 2: on top of it. Hey, we got a lot to
- 36:55Speaker 2: get to in the next hour. We'll get to college graduations,
- 36:58Speaker 2: some of them causing great controversy and problems, just awful
- 37:06Speaker 2: stuff at these ways. We'll get to that virus too.
- 37:08Speaker 2: Do you really have to worry about it? Could there
- 37:10Speaker 2: be another pandemic? We'll get to all of that coming
- 37:13Speaker 2: up right after the news. Mark Simone here on seven
- 37:16Speaker 2: to ten, wor
