- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast. Today we
- 0:09Speaker 2: are breaking down the Bachelor in Paradise finale. Ben is traveling,
- 0:14Speaker 2: so I called in my friend Jill Chen, who you
- 0:17Speaker 2: guys may know from Clayton season and last year's season
- 0:21Speaker 2: season eight of Bachelor in Paradise. She was my fellow crier.
- 0:26Speaker 2: She loves a bit of dramatics, and I thought she
- 0:29Speaker 2: was the perfect person to talk about this episode with,
- 0:32Speaker 2: Especially Jill, because you have really cool you're like best
- 0:36Speaker 2: friends with Rachel Rekia. So she was kind of like
- 0:39Speaker 2: feeding you drama. Not the entire thing. I mean, she
- 0:43Speaker 2: didn't have her phone on you, but like, yeah, you
- 0:45Speaker 2: got this scoop as soon as you could. Yeah, And
- 0:48Speaker 2: did you have somebody like an informant because I remember
- 0:51Speaker 2: seeing you in June and you knew what was going
- 0:54Speaker 2: on down there? How Oh, because like people who are eliminated,
- 0:57Speaker 2: you heard from the grape mind, tell us all your sources.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Okay, So I wouldn't so first of all, Rachel is
- 1:03Speaker 3: I wouldn't say she's she gives up information easily, unfortunately,
- 1:07Speaker 3: you know, like when I get off I'm like press conference,
- 1:10Speaker 3: all everybody like theether around, like this is what we're
- 1:13Speaker 3: gonna do. But Rachel's like, you know, if I'm like, okay,
- 1:17Speaker 3: so who are you with you with this person, she'd
- 1:18Speaker 3: be like, I don't know, You're gonna have to see,
- 1:21Speaker 3: which is so annoying. I'm like, just tell me. So
- 1:23Speaker 3: I got bits of information that way. Also I'm good
- 1:26Speaker 3: for that.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I feel like when she came home from Bachelorette, she
- 1:29Speaker 2: didn't even tell you what happened with Tina.
- 1:31Speaker 3: No, like barely anything. But also like things evolved so
- 1:34Speaker 3: quickly that like it's a roller coaster, so I don't
- 1:39Speaker 3: really know what's happening like at all times. I know,
- 1:43Speaker 3: I had a pretty good pulse on the season from
- 1:44Speaker 3: Rachel then from Tyler as well, but I was piecing
- 1:49Speaker 3: things together and I still am trying to piece things
- 1:51Speaker 3: together because I feel like we didn't really see the
- 1:53Speaker 3: full story. Do you agree, Jill.
- 1:57Speaker 2: We've been saying this the entire season, and I asked
- 2:00Speaker 2: Blake about it last week and he was like, oh,
- 2:03Speaker 2: you know, like of course they can't show everything because
- 2:05Speaker 2: we're recording twenty four hours a day. I'm like, yeah, yeah,
- 2:08Speaker 2: but there are storylines that have had dead ends and
- 2:11Speaker 2: we don't know why please.
- 2:13Speaker 3: And then new storylines at the last second, and you're
- 2:16Speaker 3: like like the like, where's that come from? Especially this
- 2:19Speaker 3: episode like this, there was a storyline I was not expecting.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Okay, okay, so let's let's dive into this episode. Where
- 2:27Speaker 2: are we going? What couple are we going? First? What's
- 2:29Speaker 2: this story?
- 2:30Speaker 3: So? I feel like, well, first of all, at the
- 2:32Speaker 3: beginning of the end of the episode is very much
- 2:34Speaker 3: like chaos, you know, just everything going up in flames.
- 2:37Speaker 3: I don't really understand why. Like at the last rose ceremony,
- 2:42Speaker 3: I feel like, then if you were going to choose
- 2:43Speaker 3: somebody new.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Just go well, this is what happens every season, And
- 2:48Speaker 2: for some reason, I felt like this season was a
- 2:50Speaker 2: little bit less annoying because usually they go straight from
- 2:54Speaker 2: that rose ceremony to the next day having those one
- 2:58Speaker 2: on one conversations with the girls and the guys separate,
- 3:01Speaker 2: and then they go walk down to the beach. Yeah,
- 3:03Speaker 2: at least we had one day in between to sort
- 3:06Speaker 2: of figure things out, to make it less like I've
- 3:08Speaker 2: always been like, well, wait, what why even get past
- 3:12Speaker 2: that road ceremony? At least we had a one day
- 3:14Speaker 2: buffer this time, but go ahead, totally understand the weirdness
- 3:17Speaker 2: of that.
- 3:18Speaker 3: I know. So it's like, okay, justin Tanner, we knew
- 3:21Speaker 3: it wasn't not gonna go anywhere, Okay, So there was
- 3:24Speaker 3: that Mercedes and Jordan V. Like Jordan V just left
- 3:29Speaker 3: my girl Rachel in the dust. And now you're just
- 3:31Speaker 3: gonna say by Mercedes, like that's weird too.
- 3:35Speaker 2: You know, sure, but I didn't think but Mercedes was
- 3:37Speaker 2: the one that wasn't into it.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Yeah, so why even started to begin with the night before?
- 3:43Speaker 3: Now you get it. I don't get it, Okay, it's
- 3:45Speaker 3: just strange, like course, but also like I fight or
- 3:48Speaker 3: flight bye, I am flying away, Like I understand that
- 3:52Speaker 3: people want to like try to make the best of
- 3:53Speaker 3: the situation. I don't really care, like I'm gonna leave.
- 3:57Speaker 3: So that was a little strange, I feel like.
- 3:59Speaker 2: But the reason for the one day buffer this season
- 4:02Speaker 2: was because Mari and Kenny got married and they wanted
- 4:05Speaker 2: everybody to see that and like get freaked out if
- 4:08Speaker 2: they were in a secure enough for Yeah, I can't
- 4:13Speaker 2: believe they're having three weddings now, Like I was like, wait, what,
- 4:16Speaker 2: Like Kenny, Mary I never thought it would be you guys,
- 4:19Speaker 2: because they've told us on like, we just had them
- 4:21Speaker 2: on our podcast about two weeks ago, and then we
- 4:25Speaker 2: had them on a couple months ago and they already
- 4:26Speaker 2: were telling us how they were having two weddings. So
- 4:28Speaker 2: they actually had three weddings. Of course, the one in
- 4:30Speaker 2: Mexico isn't binding at all. Yeah, you know, legality speaking,
- 4:35Speaker 2: but like, but wow.
- 4:38Speaker 3: It almost begs the question if anything on that beat
- 4:41Speaker 3: but well, that too, that could be funding the other
- 4:43Speaker 3: weddings then, like in which case I'd be like, you
- 4:46Speaker 3: know what, yeah.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Let's do it exactly exactly, Yeah, I know.
- 4:49Speaker 3: So much of what happens on that beach is so
- 4:51Speaker 3: like like you could pass anything off like oh, it's
- 4:54Speaker 3: paradise like whatever, including engagements.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Yeah, the engagements were we but we want to get
- 5:00Speaker 2: to those later.
- 5:01Speaker 3: We'll get to them later.
- 5:03Speaker 2: So what I want to talk about is Kylie's love
- 5:07Speaker 2: for Blake. It does not feel platonic to me.
- 5:11Speaker 3: No, and so we that's the one that I wanted
- 5:13Speaker 3: to talk about the new storyline. Like last episode, it
- 5:16Speaker 3: was like she's like no, like, don't leave, I can't
- 5:19Speaker 3: do this without you. We're all like that's weird, but
- 5:22Speaker 3: like we can forget about it, like that's weird, but
- 5:25Speaker 3: moving on because we haven't seen any of it.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Yeah, last week we thought it was weird that they
- 5:29Speaker 2: peppered it in there, and now we know why they
- 5:32Speaker 2: put it in there, because they wanted them to have
- 5:34Speaker 2: this hard to heart conversation this week. They wanted to
- 5:36Speaker 2: show this one. It's still like, I don't know what
- 5:40Speaker 2: it is. I can't describe in words why it doesn't
- 5:43Speaker 2: feel botonic. It just doesn't.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Well, when he showed up at the wedding, you could
- 5:47Speaker 3: just just clearly see her just be like, oh my god,
- 5:50Speaker 3: Like maybe this is like a new opportunity for her.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Maybe she's like, well, maybe there's still a chance, Like.
- 5:57Speaker 2: If Avin doesn't want to get engaged, maybe I'll just
- 5:59Speaker 2: move on to Blake. That's truly what I felt.
- 6:01Speaker 3: I don't know, it kind of felt that way, but
- 6:04Speaker 3: I and then also there was it could have been
- 6:07Speaker 3: like a frank invite. It could have been from earlier
- 6:09Speaker 3: in the episode or earlier in the season where she
- 6:11Speaker 3: said it almost makes me wish I would have explored more,
- 6:14Speaker 3: you know, talking about her connection with Avan. So I'm like, well, girl,
- 6:19Speaker 3: we got one more day, Like, how could we explore more?
- 6:22Speaker 3: Like you're kind of locked in with aban? I just again,
- 6:26Speaker 3: it was like, I don't think it was necessarily a
- 6:27Speaker 3: pointless storyline, but it was a confusing storyline.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I still feel like it was totally unnecessary. I
- 6:34Speaker 2: think even her conversation with Blake was totally unnecessary. We
- 6:37Speaker 2: had plenty too much commentary from Kylie in this episode
- 6:42Speaker 2: about how she wanted to get engaged and how that
- 6:46Speaker 2: was the only way she was going to feel secure
- 6:48Speaker 2: in their relationship. I left this episode being like, Kylie, uh,
- 6:53Speaker 2: I'm not as big of a fan of yours as
- 6:55Speaker 2: I was. Really.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Okay, that's interesting because I was almost like team Kylie
- 7:01Speaker 3: on this one.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Really, I was like, why is she so obsessed with
- 7:04Speaker 2: getting engaged?
- 7:05Speaker 3: Okay, well twenty five relax, Like I get it.
- 7:10Speaker 2: It was just that, like, she truly isn't believing in
- 7:12Speaker 2: their relationship if he didn't propose, I don't know. I
- 7:16Speaker 2: was so not for it because, yeah, I just like
- 7:21Speaker 2: the other couples were saying, don't want to get engaged
- 7:25Speaker 2: unless it is going to be a certain thing only
- 7:27Speaker 2: once in my lifetime sort of thing.
- 7:29Speaker 3: And I totally agree with that. I can see both
- 7:31Speaker 3: sides because one part of me is like, oh my god,
- 7:34Speaker 3: getting engaged in paradise, say, is nuts, Like you've only
- 7:37Speaker 3: known this person in this environment for however much time,
- 7:40Speaker 3: like a month max. And then the other side is
- 7:43Speaker 3: what happens at the end of every Bachelor Franchise show,
- 7:48Speaker 3: an engagement. That's how it ends. And so it wasn't
- 7:52Speaker 3: even necessarily that they weren't ready. It was even came
- 7:55Speaker 3: in knowing he wasn't going to get engaged.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. And you think that's annoying. That's I
- 8:01Speaker 2: think that's annoying. That's annoying because you know, that's protocol.
- 8:04Speaker 3: That's protocol. That's annoying because it's protocol. And I don't
- 8:06Speaker 3: think that like Kyley should be dragged for, say, for
- 8:09Speaker 3: like wanting that so badly, when up until this point
- 8:11Speaker 3: I thought there was really a I thought they were
- 8:14Speaker 3: going to get engaged. Out of all the couples besides
- 8:16Speaker 3: Eliza and Aaron, I thought they were the most ripe
- 8:19Speaker 3: to be engaged. I thought they were like the Serena
- 8:21Speaker 3: and Brandon. You know, they were chilling the whole season.
- 8:23Speaker 3: They are feeling good.
- 8:24Speaker 2: But look what happened to Serena and Brandon. And I'm saying,
- 8:29Speaker 2: you know, but you know, I'm also proven wrong because
- 8:32Speaker 2: at the end of the episode, you see how many
- 8:34Speaker 2: people are, you know, married from the show. Jared and
- 8:36Speaker 2: I of course married from the show, but did not
- 8:39Speaker 2: get engaged after the month. So that's why I'm able
- 8:42Speaker 2: to still speak with a little skepticism. Yes, and there's
- 8:47Speaker 2: been couples in the past where I have felt quite
- 8:50Speaker 2: strong about them, Joe and Serena being one of them,
- 8:54Speaker 2: and I can't but like I felt so no, not
- 9:00Speaker 2: strong about any of these couples. I'm just like, oh,
- 9:03Speaker 2: just save the reputation, Like, let's I don't want another
- 9:07Speaker 2: engagement on the TV and then like just to turn
- 9:10Speaker 2: out a couple months later they're not together. Yeah, So
- 9:12Speaker 2: that's why I'm just like, Okay, if you don't one
- 9:14Speaker 2: hundred percent feel it, just don't do it. Don't do it.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Yeah, And I agree with that, but you have to
- 9:19Speaker 3: be honest with that person kind of early on, you know,
- 9:23Speaker 3: like even coming in he because I don't know if
- 9:26Speaker 3: he said it outright, but the impression that I got
- 9:29Speaker 3: was engagement was never on the table for me. When
- 9:32Speaker 3: I came here, which is a little wild, especially like
- 9:36Speaker 3: being final too and then like.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Being Final two. That comes across keazy to me because
- 9:41Speaker 2: I think, like she called him out on, I do
- 9:45Speaker 2: think he was probably ready to propose to Rachel.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Yeah. I agree.
- 9:49Speaker 2: It's a little bit different of a scenario though, because like,
- 9:53Speaker 2: while you get to know people so much more in
- 9:56Speaker 2: Paradise and you have so much more time with them,
- 10:01Speaker 2: your mindset is a little different. It's a little more casual, right.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's also like a little crazy. Like I
- 10:11Speaker 3: like when I was with Jacob, I was like, oh yeah,
- 10:14Speaker 3: I could maybe see this, and then outside of it,
- 10:15Speaker 3: I was like whoa, Like who was I? Who was
- 10:18Speaker 3: that girl? You know? Yeah, I understand even coming out
- 10:21Speaker 3: of like The Bachelor, I was like, did I even
- 10:24Speaker 3: like Clayton? Like I was gaslighting myself to liking Clayton. So, like,
- 10:27Speaker 3: I understand not wanting to get engaged in that setting.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I do understand that, but I feel like you have
- 10:32Speaker 3: to be open to it, and if you're not open
- 10:33Speaker 3: to it, then express that at the beginning. Uh huh,
- 10:37Speaker 3: That's what I'm gonna say. But and I do like
- 10:41Speaker 3: Kylie was like really harping on the engagement thing, and
- 10:45Speaker 3: but I do understand her disappointment.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's because, like I to me, I felt
- 10:50Speaker 2: like it was more of like a goal set, like
- 10:52Speaker 2: she like had like a timeline and she wanted to
- 10:55Speaker 2: reach her goals within the timeline. And she felt like
- 10:58Speaker 2: by going on a bachelor's show and leaving together but
- 11:01Speaker 2: not engaged, she failed.
- 11:04Speaker 3: I could see that. I could definitely see that. And
- 11:06Speaker 3: then I'm sorry, it's maybe not funny, but when they
- 11:10Speaker 3: were leaving, you know when couples leave together giddy, happy, Oh,
- 11:14Speaker 3: a couple.
- 11:15Speaker 2: And feel good, that's for sure. Yeah, funeral. It was
- 11:18Speaker 2: like a funeral.
- 11:19Speaker 3: It was weird, really depressing, and I just, I don't know,
- 11:22Speaker 3: I just knew they weren't on the same page. And obviously,
- 11:25Speaker 3: like if I were Kylie, I'd be like, whoa, we're
- 11:27Speaker 3: not on the same page. We definitely shouldn't get engaged,
- 11:30Speaker 3: you know, like Okay, Well, and then he kind of
- 11:33Speaker 3: like gave her I don't know who gave who the ultimatum,
- 11:36Speaker 3: but he was kind of.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Like he I think he kind of did.
- 11:41Speaker 3: I know, But it was brought on by her feelings, right,
- 11:44Speaker 3: or her stance on it like I truly didn't know
- 11:48Speaker 3: which way it was going to go.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Me neither. When they're going back and forth like I
- 11:54Speaker 2: don't know if this is real, if it's not a proposal,
- 11:57Speaker 2: And then he was like, well, then you're not respecting
- 11:59Speaker 2: me if it's if you're forcing me into proposal. Like, yeah,
- 12:03Speaker 2: it was back and forth, but I'm glad that she
- 12:06Speaker 2: just just let it go, let him win this this argument.
- 12:10Speaker 2: And for what I was what I was thinking when
- 12:12Speaker 2: they were sitting in that car all depressed, It's like,
- 12:15Speaker 2: I can't wait for them to get back to the
- 12:16Speaker 2: hotel tonight and just enjoy some offscreen time. And I
- 12:21Speaker 2: think very soon she'll have clarity as to like, now
- 12:25Speaker 2: that there's no chance of engagement on the table, I
- 12:28Speaker 2: think she'll just be able to just go and enjoy it. Yeah,
- 12:32Speaker 2: and maybe I would love to get her on the
- 12:34Speaker 2: podcast so we can see like how she feels about
- 12:37Speaker 2: that now. To me, it would all be about the
- 12:41Speaker 2: free ring, the fact that like you don't have to
- 12:43Speaker 2: pay for a ring, you're saving, Like I don't know
- 12:46Speaker 2: how much they actually are. Those were certainly downgraded size
- 12:50Speaker 2: Neilan rings.
- 12:53Speaker 3: I did notice that. Yeah, Yeah, I just well, First
- 12:58Speaker 3: of all, I have you been on social media yet?
- 13:01Speaker 2: Yeah? Actually no, because I've been texting Joe back and
- 13:04Speaker 2: forth because I've been It's three hour episode, you know,
- 13:06Speaker 2: like I watched an hour and a half last night
- 13:08Speaker 2: and I watched an hour and a half this morning.
- 13:10Speaker 2: But no, what's what's going on social media? Tell me
- 13:13Speaker 2: what's the status?
- 13:14Speaker 3: Okay, So and that's the question, what's the status?
- 13:18Speaker 2: The status of I? But are we still talking about
- 13:21Speaker 2: Kylie and Avin?
- 13:22Speaker 3: Yes?
- 13:22Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yeah, okay, because on the recap last night,
- 13:25Speaker 2: at the end of the show, which I think is
- 13:27Speaker 2: hilarious and I love the way that they play starship
- 13:29Speaker 2: and stuff, they said that they're doing great or they're
- 13:33Speaker 2: doing well being boyfriend and girlfriend.
- 13:35Speaker 3: What do you know, correct, Well, I don't know anything
- 13:38Speaker 3: except for, you know, halfway through the season there was
- 13:40Speaker 3: at Twitter beef and it was kind of like, you know,
- 13:42Speaker 3: which what I'm talking about?
- 13:44Speaker 2: No explain for the to the audience. I know a
- 13:46Speaker 2: little bit. I remember that even kind of was getting
- 13:49Speaker 2: annoyed that they didn't have enough screen time, which I
- 13:52Speaker 2: think they didn't get screen time because they weren't leading
- 13:55Speaker 2: to an engagement. I think in you know, in the
- 13:57Speaker 2: editing room, They're like, oh, if you're not getting engaged,
- 13:59Speaker 2: then we're not going to show you.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Honestly, the solid couples even last season, like like Serena
- 14:04Speaker 3: and Brandon didn't get a lot of screen time because
- 14:06Speaker 3: they were chilling, they were good. There was no drama,
- 14:08Speaker 3: like there's so much it goes on that like sometimes
- 14:10Speaker 3: the solid couples don't get it. So I think there
- 14:13Speaker 3: was there's some beef. I don't exactly know kind of
- 14:16Speaker 3: the whole scope of it, but there's some beef between
- 14:19Speaker 3: Kylie and.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Live Yeah okay.
- 14:23Speaker 3: And so then Avin clapped back saying like, oh, you
- 14:26Speaker 3: give a night one girl the screen time and she
- 14:29Speaker 3: thinks that she's, you know, the next hottest thing, which
- 14:31Speaker 3: is such an argument, Like I hate that anyways. So then,
- 14:36Speaker 3: but even the fact of the matter is Avan was
- 14:39Speaker 3: sticking up for Kylie. So I was like, oh, they're together, Okay, Yeah,
- 14:43Speaker 3: they're together. Cool.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I'm on social.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Media right after I see oh I got they left happy.
- 14:48Speaker 3: I go to their instagrams, not a whisper, nothing, you
- 14:53Speaker 3: normally normally when you end the show, you know you're
- 14:56Speaker 3: they got their finger hovern over the detonator. That is
- 14:59Speaker 3: the Instagram. I'm ready to hard launch that relationship.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Heck, yeah, there was nothing. Oh there's still nothing. This
- 15:07Speaker 2: is one pretty twenty pm on Friday.
- 15:10Speaker 3: I looked on Avan's nothing, no static post lase. I
- 15:13Speaker 3: look at Even's story, nothing. I looked Frank Kylie's page. Nothing.
- 15:17Speaker 3: I haven't looked at Kylie's story. I don't think still nothing.
- 15:20Speaker 3: What that's weird to me? If you're in a happy relationship.
- 15:23Speaker 3: I'm oh, like, I'm ready to hard launch this second same.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Okay, So what we have here on Kylie's Instagram is
- 15:42Speaker 2: just on her story and it says last watch party,
- 15:46Speaker 2: Avan is not present at this watch party full of ladies,
- 15:51Speaker 2: a lot of them are like older. And then another
- 15:55Speaker 2: of two hours ago Kylie on Kylie on like a
- 16:00Speaker 2: group FaceTime with Jess and Mercedes and Kat and they're
- 16:04Speaker 2: saying we realize we don't have to be on reality
- 16:06Speaker 2: TV again and they're all smiling. Ye okay, isn't that weird? Though?
- 16:13Speaker 2: It's definitely concerning. And the last time she posted a
- 16:16Speaker 2: picture with Avan just like as a promo for the show. Yeah,
- 16:21Speaker 2: November tenth.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Yeah, what's going on?
- 16:24Speaker 2: Not good?
- 16:26Speaker 3: So yeah, and that's that's honestly a recurring theme with
- 16:30Speaker 3: all of the couples. I hate to say, but we'll
- 16:34Speaker 3: get into that later.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Okay, And just another update avan seventeen hours ago, my
- 16:39Speaker 2: piece ha my peace period at the basketball court, and
- 16:46Speaker 2: then a screenshot fourteen hours ago of what he's listening to,
- 16:51Speaker 2: and that is, Oh, Bryce Bryson Tiller, keep doing what
- 16:57Speaker 2: you're doing is the song. I don't know if that
- 16:59Speaker 2: means good.
- 17:00Speaker 3: I don't know if that's a subtweet, but no one
- 17:02Speaker 3: decode that.
- 17:03Speaker 2: This is why you don't get engaged though, because if
- 17:06Speaker 2: they've got to engage, it wouldn't have helped them, like
- 17:09Speaker 2: it wouldn't have helped the relationship.
- 17:11Speaker 3: No, totally, totally totally, but I would have you know,
- 17:14Speaker 3: the signs. The signs were clearly there for even at
- 17:17Speaker 3: least and because even was feeling that way, she should
- 17:19Speaker 3: have seen that and just taken it for what it is.
- 17:21Speaker 3: I'm glad she ended up doing that. I don't know
- 17:23Speaker 3: what's going on. Maybe we'll get some further explanation, but
- 17:26Speaker 3: it sucks because there's no reunion.
- 17:28Speaker 2: I know we I would have loved the reunion for this,
- 17:30Speaker 2: but I know Golden Bachelor had to take president.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I get it, but at the same time,
- 17:34Speaker 3: like this needed a reunion because you can't like the show.
- 17:37Speaker 3: I feel like specifically left out important things and I
- 17:42Speaker 3: want to know, like especially I'm still wondering about the
- 17:45Speaker 3: Jess and Tyler and Blake and you know, I've heard
- 17:48Speaker 3: like little snippets of on the you know, on other podcasts,
- 17:51Speaker 3: but it's like.
- 17:51Speaker 2: That's what I talked to Blake about last week. I
- 17:53Speaker 2: was like, could we just talk. We never really addressed
- 17:55Speaker 2: the fact that they kissed and like it seemed like
- 17:57Speaker 2: it was a good kiss. Okay, So do you want
- 18:00Speaker 2: to know like how a lot of those storylines ended
- 18:03Speaker 2: that we have been pondering all season long. Listen to
- 18:06Speaker 2: the Blake interview that I did last week because I
- 18:08Speaker 2: because he was there and he he did tie up
- 18:11Speaker 2: some ends lose ends. Now let's go on to the dates.
- 18:14Speaker 2: This week. We had Kat and John Henry had a
- 18:16Speaker 2: date and then so basically both engaged couples had a date.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Then we had Eliza and Aaron they had a date. Okay,
- 18:24Speaker 2: So the Eliza and Aaron date I'm going to start
- 18:27Speaker 2: with because to me, I have no substance with this couple,
- 18:33Speaker 2: I literally have heard them talk about nothing except for
- 18:36Speaker 2: the status of their relationship. Yeah, that's all we hear. Like,
- 18:39Speaker 2: it's good with Aaron and me, it's great with Eliza,
- 18:43Speaker 2: and it's like, okay, I'm falling in love. It's like,
- 18:46Speaker 2: I have not heard you guys had a discussion about anything.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Yeah. I the only discussion that they had was when
- 18:53Speaker 3: Charity came down, and it was like, what's going on
- 18:55Speaker 3: with Aaron?
- 18:56Speaker 2: Oh yeah, okay, you're right, yes.
- 18:59Speaker 3: A bump in the road. But then it was like
- 19:01Speaker 3: every every time I'm hearing from Aaron, he's just telling
- 19:03Speaker 3: me what she has for breakfast.
- 19:05Speaker 2: And while I think that, yes, yes, it's always like
- 19:09Speaker 2: you look beautiful this morning.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Okay, okay, it's in it in the breakfast order, which
- 19:14Speaker 3: is great. We you know, we love that. But at
- 19:17Speaker 3: the same time, I don't like I'm not necessarily as
- 19:20Speaker 3: invested think I love Eliza. I think she is the
- 19:22Speaker 3: most beautiful human being on the planet.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Could you believe her face?
- 19:26Speaker 3: No, in her body? Like, oh, like I just ever
- 19:29Speaker 3: she's she's so good. She's so good, And I think
- 19:32Speaker 3: they're cute. But I think like a lot of it,
- 19:34Speaker 3: and I kind of like these kind of relationships where
- 19:36Speaker 3: I feel like Aarin is like simping all the time,
- 19:38Speaker 3: like just gushy with how beautiful she is, and she's like, oh, like.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Yeah, of course, I you it is cute.
- 19:46Speaker 3: It's cute.
- 19:47Speaker 2: But that I'm also wondering if she's like I could
- 19:50Speaker 2: just get all the men in the world.
- 19:52Speaker 3: But the way I look like, I know that she
- 19:54Speaker 3: would like Drake, you know, And I do feel like
- 19:56Speaker 3: she's the one and only person that maybe has a
- 19:58Speaker 3: chance with Drake.
- 20:00Speaker 2: You knew her last year? Yeah, with Drake, Okay. I
- 20:03Speaker 2: love that she wasn't there when I was there. She
- 20:06Speaker 2: came in late. So like a little bit about her personality.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Oh my god, she is. Everyone says like she looks
- 20:13Speaker 3: like a Disney princess. She is a Disney princess, Like
- 20:16Speaker 3: she's always pattering the face, like very sweet, but she's
- 20:20Speaker 3: also like hilarious. She's really funny. She she's sassy for sure,
- 20:28Speaker 3: and she is really emotional, but I feel like we
- 20:31Speaker 3: don't see a ton of that.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I'm looking at her Instagram now. She has pictures of herself.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Yeah, she's very perfect and put together and she loves Drake.
- 20:42Speaker 3: That's like her biggest like thing is she's obsessed with Drake.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Oh so she's thinking she probably could get Drake.
- 20:49Speaker 3: I don't know, but I think she may be. Honestly,
- 20:52Speaker 3: she's perfect.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Yeah, she's she's something to see, all right. But yeah,
- 20:57Speaker 2: this date did nothing for me, Like, this day did
- 20:59Speaker 2: not help me believe in their love at all. No,
- 21:02Speaker 2: the Shaman date, no, Now, the other date between Kat
- 21:06Speaker 2: and John Henry actually made me get them. I was like, oh, Okay,
- 21:10Speaker 2: there's more here, there's stuff here. She showed a totally
- 21:14Speaker 2: different side to her when she was talking about her
- 21:16Speaker 2: upbringing and he when he was talking about his rough years,
- 21:22Speaker 2: some bouts of depression, and they really did feel like
- 21:26Speaker 2: there was a nice level of intimacy and vulnerability there,
- 21:29Speaker 2: and she seems soft with him, which is sweet to see.
- 21:36Speaker 3: It kind of made that conversation changed a lot of
- 21:40Speaker 3: my I guess, like just my opinion on Kat. I
- 21:45Speaker 3: don't know her, I've never talked to her. My only
- 21:48Speaker 3: you know, interaction is through the television, what I see
- 21:51Speaker 3: on the tepee, which obviously she got a really tough edit.
- 21:54Speaker 2: And yeah, but also like just so many, so many
- 21:58Speaker 2: episodes and she had so much screen time and we
- 22:01Speaker 2: really got to know her, and she's so multifaceted that, yes,
- 22:05Speaker 2: she is the most ridiculous sometimes, but she's great TV.
- 22:09Speaker 2: And she seems like someone that well, sometimes i'd be
- 22:12Speaker 2: scared to hang out with, but mostly would probably would
- 22:16Speaker 2: want her there. She also seems like a pretty supportive
- 22:19Speaker 2: girls girl.
- 22:20Speaker 3: She does. I think that a lot of the volatility
- 22:24Speaker 3: earlier made a lot of sense once I heard her story,
- 22:27Speaker 3: and I feel like there was this yearning for safety
- 22:31Speaker 3: and for okay, like I'm good here that I think
- 22:34Speaker 3: John Henry was able to provide her. Whereas before she
- 22:37Speaker 3: didn't feel stable, and if you don't feel stable, you know,
- 22:40Speaker 3: then you're gonna go off the rails maybe a little bit.
- 22:44Speaker 3: So I really appreciated that date, and I think I
- 22:48Speaker 3: was at first I was like, I don't know what
- 22:51Speaker 3: her ending is going to look like. I don't know
- 22:52Speaker 3: if it's going to be a happy ending for Kat,
- 22:54Speaker 3: But I think it's like, that's the happy ending, yeah,
- 22:58Speaker 3: you know, of maybe the season.
- 23:00Speaker 2: It is, which is so funny. We see later in
- 23:03Speaker 2: the season, well we'll just go there. Yeah, we see
- 23:07Speaker 2: that they are the happy couple out of this that
- 23:10Speaker 2: is shocking. That is shocking to me because she was
- 23:15Speaker 2: mostly drama the Sea during the season. Maybe it was
- 23:18Speaker 2: halfway that she started getting with John Henry and then
- 23:22Speaker 2: they always felt fun together, but they felt like a
- 23:26Speaker 2: couple that was just gonna be like fun in paradise
- 23:28Speaker 2: and not in the outside world. This episode did make
- 23:31Speaker 2: me feel like they have complimentary personalities because he's so
- 23:35Speaker 2: laid back and chill, and he'll and she'll just be
- 23:39Speaker 2: the well, lack of a better word, like the you
- 23:43Speaker 2: or me and the relationship right, yeah, a little like
- 23:46Speaker 2: a little bit more like high strung emotional one yes,
- 23:50Speaker 2: and he'll be there the stable Yes.
- 23:54Speaker 3: And I although they got started a little late, I
- 23:57Speaker 3: think it was a huge green flag that he was like,
- 24:01Speaker 3: I realized this is crazy, but I'm so sure about
- 24:04Speaker 3: it that I'm going to propose.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Okay, well, how do you feel about that proposal? Because
- 24:08Speaker 2: I know I would love it. Looking back, when he goes,
- 24:11Speaker 2: my gut says, don't do it. I know, but I'm
- 24:14Speaker 2: gonna go with something else in this time my heart,
- 24:17Speaker 2: like I get it. It's like there's some sweetness in that. Yeah,
- 24:21Speaker 2: but you're still telling your fiance at the podium at
- 24:25Speaker 2: the altar that like your gut saying no.
- 24:28Speaker 3: I know he should have used he should have said my.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Brain and my brain, yeah, my brain. It may be
- 24:36Speaker 2: better because like my brain, yeah, my brain makes more
- 24:41Speaker 2: sense your gut, like we are always told that our
- 24:43Speaker 2: gut's right right, Like.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Something was mixed up there, but I think that, you know,
- 24:51Speaker 3: the sentiment remained the same, and I thought it was sweet.
- 24:55Speaker 3: I was like really surprised and it was it was
- 24:59Speaker 3: just like fun, and I feel like they've been fun once.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Like I got over the fact that he left Olivia
- 25:04Speaker 3: because that was kind of hard to get over. You know.
- 25:07Speaker 2: I was interion to see the two of them just
- 25:09Speaker 2: seeming okay at like a breakfast table. Rights been able
- 25:15Speaker 2: to get over a lot of drama and then sit
- 25:17Speaker 2: together at the table.
- 25:18Speaker 3: No, see me, I'm not like that. I cannot do it.
- 25:24Speaker 2: It's so you're getting right up.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, I don't care. So that was cute. But
- 25:31Speaker 3: then also that's another one. No hard launch, no hard watch,
- 25:38Speaker 3: except for this, there's been a story. There's been one story.
- 25:41Speaker 3: A collage for on Kat's Instagram, a collage of them
- 25:44Speaker 3: saying my favorite memories. Okay, where's the hard launch, No way, Okay,
- 25:51Speaker 3: when I when I looked like an hour ago, maybe wow.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Okay, So I'm I'm on a page right now. And
- 25:58Speaker 2: I'm also seeing that Aaron not thinking about Paradise a
- 26:02Speaker 2: little bit, Butliza. The only thing that he has with
- 26:05Speaker 2: Eliza is a picture of her head on his shoulder
- 26:08Speaker 2: and says she can nap anywhere. So romantic. No, nothing
- 26:14Speaker 2: from cat.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Well, there's a story. There was one story, and there's
- 26:18Speaker 3: a little collage of them, but that's it.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Do you think that the show's not letting them do
- 26:23Speaker 2: it because maybe there's spoilers. Maybe they're like, you can
- 26:26Speaker 2: hard launch on like Sunday night.
- 26:28Speaker 3: That's what I thought. But then we see another couple,
- 26:33Speaker 3: another surprise couple who have hard launched.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Surprise couple do you mean Braiden?
- 26:38Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, they hard launched immediately.
- 26:42Speaker 2: But maybe that's because Bryden was already eliminated last week
- 26:46Speaker 2: and everybody knew that. Yeah, so perhaps we just need
- 26:49Speaker 2: to wait a little bit longer because they don't want
- 26:51Speaker 2: Instagram to spoil it for some people.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Maybe yeah, maybe it's a contract thing. But did we
- 26:57Speaker 3: see that with Golden Bachelor. I don't know. No, I
- 27:00Speaker 3: don't know. I don't know if some things are on
- 27:02Speaker 3: the rocks. I don't know the status of a lot
- 27:05Speaker 3: of these relationships. And I feel like that's it's kind
- 27:10Speaker 3: of like what you do in Bachelor Nation. This is
- 27:12Speaker 3: kind of how it goes, you know, Yeah, were you
- 27:16Speaker 3: You know, the Instagram.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Is a thing. Definitely think like, we want to see
- 27:20Speaker 2: what they're doing today, right, we want to feel good
- 27:22Speaker 2: about it. We just dedicated how many hours to watching
- 27:26Speaker 2: these stories, and you're telling me that maybe nobody is
- 27:29Speaker 2: still is nobody's happy?
- 27:31Speaker 3: I know, that's what I'm saying. So I'm just like
- 27:33Speaker 3: really confused. And that's that's what makes me question the
- 27:36Speaker 3: status of these relationships. Like when did they ask them
- 27:39Speaker 3: about the updates?
- 27:40Speaker 2: Yeah, well I can tell you that Jared and I
- 27:42Speaker 2: submitted pictures. It was the first. It was like November
- 27:49Speaker 2: first they asked this for pictures.
- 27:51Speaker 3: Oh so maybe.
- 27:53Speaker 2: For that timeline, that's a long ass time ago in
- 27:57Speaker 2: like relationship a new relationship.
- 28:00Speaker 3: For sure. I was most because I knew that some
- 28:03Speaker 3: of the relationships. Honestly, I thought I knew the status
- 28:06Speaker 3: of some relationships as like truly over And I was like, oh,
- 28:09Speaker 3: I wonder how the show is going to be. I'm
- 28:12Speaker 3: not gonna say because I don't because now I don't
- 28:13Speaker 3: know if it's true. I honestly thought no couples were
- 28:17Speaker 3: still together.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Oh okay, that's what you thought, But now Instagram is
- 28:21Speaker 2: kind of proving that.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Right. No, I thought that Kylie and Aven were still together,
- 28:26Speaker 3: but that's only because of the Twitter Beason. That's the
- 28:28Speaker 3: only reason why. But I thought the rest of the
- 28:31Speaker 3: couples were done so.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Well, we got to get Rachel on the line, Like,
- 28:35Speaker 2: Rachel hasn't told you any of this.
- 28:37Speaker 3: No, she hasn't, because she also wasn't there.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Yeah, but she's got to be friends with them, right.
- 28:43Speaker 3: I don't know, think she's she's not as friendly.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Because she's from a different season.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Maybe yeah, probably, yeah, But I don't know. I think
- 28:51Speaker 3: it's just strange.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Let's just talk about a few of the other couples
- 29:04Speaker 2: that left. Peter and Sam. I mean, they didn't show
- 29:08Speaker 2: us a single thing between them, so it was not
- 29:11Speaker 2: shocking to see them part. Sam initiating it, Like I
- 29:17Speaker 2: thought they were going to just let them go as
- 29:19Speaker 2: like a hey, do you want to like talk a
- 29:20Speaker 2: little bit in real life? See where it goes yeah,
- 29:23Speaker 2: but currently she just didn't want to do that. That
- 29:26Speaker 2: was then like how much how was that was that persuaded?
- 29:29Speaker 2: Was that a conversation because you know, I always talk
- 29:32Speaker 2: about how they don't really love the production, doesn't really
- 29:37Speaker 2: love an ending that's like, man, you know, they want
- 29:41Speaker 2: an ending that's like engagement or break up. The fact
- 29:45Speaker 2: that they live in and uh and kind of get
- 29:48Speaker 2: away with it was because I think they needed and
- 29:50Speaker 2: wanted the drama of just that debate.
- 29:53Speaker 3: I agree.
- 29:54Speaker 2: So you know, maybe Sam and Peter to talk a
- 29:57Speaker 2: little bit afterward. But and maybe the same applies to
- 30:00Speaker 2: Olivia and Michael. I was, oh, you know, Olivia was
- 30:04Speaker 2: sad too, and Peter was sad. But you guys weren't
- 30:08Speaker 2: gonna like what you weren't gonna go to fantasy suite.
- 30:12Speaker 2: You guys have been to those two Michael and Olivia
- 30:14Speaker 2: had been together for like a week.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Oh I know, And but like I fell for a
- 30:18Speaker 3: living because she was having a good time, and like
- 30:21Speaker 3: I did feel kind of like they they could have
- 30:24Speaker 3: just let her go with the Well we'll see what happens.
- 30:27Speaker 2: That's what I mean. Just please just come on, just
- 30:29Speaker 2: get the girl. Hope because we all liked her so much.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Yeah, she got the most screen time out of anybody,
- 30:35Speaker 3: Like she had a meteoric rise in Bachelor Nation, and
- 30:38Speaker 3: I was here for it. I was invested in her
- 30:41Speaker 3: love story. And that was just disappointing because he just
- 30:44Speaker 3: like gave up, Like it wasn't even she was like, well,
- 30:46Speaker 3: she started off and she was really kind of hopeful
- 30:48Speaker 3: and left it open like not wanting to hope, be
- 30:51Speaker 3: like too hopeful. Then he just kind of crushed it.
- 30:53Speaker 3: And I'm like, oh, I didn't even like you anyways.
- 30:56Speaker 3: You know, I didn't even get to know low. I
- 30:57Speaker 3: don't even really I only liked Michael because he was
- 30:59Speaker 3: with Livia.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Yes, he said, I appreciate your time here. I appreciate
- 31:05Speaker 2: that we had this time here together, but I don't
- 31:07Speaker 2: want to give you false hope. We're in two very
- 31:09Speaker 2: different spots right now, and leaving together is not a
- 31:12Speaker 2: good idea.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that's okay, weird though, Like that's weird to me.
- 31:17Speaker 3: You knew that last night. You knew that.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Are you in different spots?
- 31:21Speaker 3: So like, what do you mean you're in different spots
- 31:23Speaker 3: like geographically?
- 31:25Speaker 2: Like yeah, I don't know, because like you better be
- 31:27Speaker 2: open to a relationship, dude, if you came on the show.
- 31:30Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. It was so weird. I don't know.
- 31:32Speaker 3: I find it kind of felt like like he like
- 31:35Speaker 3: he used an abused or for a room. I don't
- 31:38Speaker 3: know that's being speculative, but that was really disappointing. The
- 31:42Speaker 3: Peter stuff. How that man was there from start to end,
- 31:48Speaker 3: no idea And he who is he? Who is this?
- 31:53Speaker 2: Don't I don't know he was from He was from
- 31:57Speaker 2: Charity season.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, he was from Charity season. I know he's
- 31:59Speaker 3: all so he too is a pilot pee, but that's yes,
- 32:03Speaker 3: all I know. And he has hairless legs. That's all
- 32:07Speaker 3: I know.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Jill. I think that, like why cast these people like
- 32:13Speaker 2: Sam and Peter. I've said this already before, but I
- 32:16Speaker 2: want to get your opinion on it. Oh, he was
- 32:19Speaker 2: set night Home Night one on Charity season. Yeah, okay,
- 32:23Speaker 2: so I know that they love to bring a night
- 32:24Speaker 2: Wanner and I do love a night winner. It was Olivia,
- 32:27Speaker 2: right yeah, and then like him and then like look
- 32:30Speaker 2: like grocery Shore Joe, like they all hope that they
- 32:32Speaker 2: like take Joe's route, you know, and look at Olivia
- 32:36Speaker 2: perfect example, amazing, But like I think you know that
- 32:40Speaker 2: Peter wasn't going to be that kind of hit, So
- 32:43Speaker 2: why incorporate people if you're going to put them there
- 32:46Speaker 2: and then you're just not going to show them and
- 32:49Speaker 2: we're not going to have anything invested in them.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Right because at like it just seems like a throwaway
- 32:55Speaker 3: and I'm sure that there was more substance to him.
- 32:58Speaker 3: This is not a knock against him, and this is
- 33:00Speaker 3: just like a knock against well. I would feel like
- 33:03Speaker 3: if you were there the whole time, I should know
- 33:05Speaker 3: more than three things about him and be more invested
- 33:07Speaker 3: in his relationship. Like they went on a date and
- 33:10Speaker 3: it was fun and whatever. Like I know more about
- 33:12Speaker 3: Sam from watching vetereloran Paradise Canada obviously than I do
- 33:16Speaker 3: from her this season. I just thought it was weird.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it was weird. I don't feel like we've ever
- 33:24Speaker 2: had such a throwaway couple or like throw away contestants
- 33:28Speaker 2: as we had this season.
- 33:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it was so weird, like because she came down
- 33:32Speaker 3: to like save somebody, and did she She saved Peter,
- 33:36Speaker 3: right rather than Sean or like whatever.
- 33:40Speaker 2: I thought she was gonna come down and save Sean
- 33:41Speaker 2: because we were like, oh, we'll keep the drama around
- 33:44Speaker 2: for another.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Week, right exactly. So that was really strange. But honestly,
- 33:47Speaker 3: I feel like maybe the producers just lost sight of
- 33:50Speaker 3: that or just like, ah, they're still here, like whatever.
- 33:54Speaker 3: But he was I did feel bad for him because
- 33:56Speaker 3: he was like, I'm really hoping that we can leave
- 33:59Speaker 3: together and I can about her so much, and she
- 34:01Speaker 3: was like, sorry, buy.
- 34:03Speaker 2: It seems like kind of a blind siding moment. Yeah,
- 34:06Speaker 2: she was like, seeing the other couples, I feel like
- 34:08Speaker 2: we should have been further along. I'm grateful for our
- 34:11Speaker 2: time together, but it doesn't feel right to continue this
- 34:14Speaker 2: relationship again. Want to know whether that was a little
- 34:17Speaker 2: bit a little influenced and that like perhaps they hung
- 34:23Speaker 2: out later, Oh maybe, you.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Know, I feel like they probably did.
- 34:29Speaker 2: I feel like they probably did too.
- 34:31Speaker 3: But also, you know what was weird to me, Like,
- 34:33Speaker 3: with a couple like Kylie and Avan, don't you think
- 34:37Speaker 3: they should have at least gotten a fantasy suite. To
- 34:40Speaker 3: not have a fantasy suite at that level is weird.
- 34:43Speaker 2: That was weird. I definitely expected that conversation to move
- 34:47Speaker 2: over into like, Okay, let's just have to the night
- 34:51Speaker 2: and we'll figure it out further. There's no shame to
- 34:54Speaker 2: me as a viewer, but I guess it's embarrassing as
- 34:58Speaker 2: a contestant to go down to like that podium and
- 35:01Speaker 2: be like, I want to leave here with you, but
- 35:04Speaker 2: I'm not ready to put the ring on your finger.
- 35:06Speaker 3: I agree. I don't think there's anything wrong with that,
- 35:08Speaker 3: as long as you both are expecting that, which you
- 35:10Speaker 3: can discuss in the overnight. Yeah, you know, like there's
- 35:14Speaker 3: nothing wrong with that. I think take the overnight just
- 35:17Speaker 3: so you can really talk it through for what it is.
- 35:20Speaker 3: If you even if they wake up in the morning
- 35:22Speaker 3: and there's like you know, they realize they don't want
- 35:24Speaker 3: to go to that podium, like I don't know, Yeah.
- 35:28Speaker 2: There's always a way out of it. I did think
- 35:30Speaker 2: that it deserved a fantasy suite, and it was it
- 35:33Speaker 2: deserved it and just another date night because I would
- 35:36Speaker 2: have liked to see more of just like them being together. Anyway.
- 35:40Speaker 2: All right, Well that's that's I think covered it. Anything
- 35:43Speaker 2: else worth mentioning any like overall season thoughts.
- 35:48Speaker 3: I feel like I honestly maybe people will disagree with me.
- 35:51Speaker 3: We need to bring back the two nights a week
- 35:55Speaker 3: because we don't get the full story. If you're going
- 35:57Speaker 3: to film for the same amount of time and the
- 35:59Speaker 3: same Medican test and you're only going to give us
- 36:01Speaker 3: one night a week, it's not working for me.
- 36:05Speaker 2: So I think that, like we're still getting the same
- 36:08Speaker 2: amount of time though, because it's ten weeks versus what
- 36:10Speaker 2: it used to be, which was four It was just
- 36:12Speaker 2: five or six. Really it used to be. It used
- 36:15Speaker 2: to be two hours and then an hour the next night.
- 36:18Speaker 2: And I think that when you do the math, we're
- 36:21Speaker 2: only off by a couple hours.
- 36:23Speaker 3: No, last season we were four hours a week.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Wait, really last week.
- 36:27Speaker 3: So last last season was four hours a week of.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Television, holy crap. And it was like eight or nine weeks.
- 36:33Speaker 3: It was long, yeah, and we had a reunion. So
- 36:37Speaker 3: I don't know. I'm just happy. I'm struggling with this
- 36:40Speaker 3: season because I'm not truly fully invested in really anybody
- 36:44Speaker 3: besides people I love, but like, you know, personally, like
- 36:48Speaker 3: there's no one. I'm like, oh my god, I live
- 36:50Speaker 3: and die, you know, oh my god, true love. I'm
- 36:52Speaker 3: not feeling that way.
- 36:54Speaker 2: I didn't either. It was what I have to say is,
- 36:56Speaker 2: while I enjoyed watching this season.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Yeah, because there was a couple.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Of good characters like Kat and Olivia. Yep, I felt
- 37:04Speaker 2: very uninspired by it.
- 37:06Speaker 3: On inspired. Some of the men were so uninspiring.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Yeah, my sister and I would be like, these girls
- 37:11Speaker 2: are so freaking pretty, and it's just like, I know,
- 37:17Speaker 2: the guys.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Just didn't give a rip, Like just what's the point.
- 37:21Speaker 3: I don't know, we need to like reinvigorate some of
- 37:24Speaker 3: these men, you know. Yeah, I don't know. I did
- 37:29Speaker 3: enjoy the season because of the characters. For sure, some
- 37:32Speaker 3: of the storylines could have been better developed, and I
- 37:35Speaker 3: need some more solid couples.
- 37:39Speaker 2: I just think that it just kind of sucked for
- 37:41Speaker 2: them because I think they put a group of people
- 37:44Speaker 2: together and there wasn't a lot of compatibility. And that's
- 37:47Speaker 2: all that's. You know, you've done it nine seasons. You've
- 37:50Speaker 2: been really lucky. To geez, besides the first season, I
- 37:57Speaker 2: think you have a couple from every season that's still
- 37:59Speaker 2: they got. Yeah, if you consider Jared and Nice season
- 38:02Speaker 2: three and Na season two.
- 38:03Speaker 3: Because currently, oh yeah, I think this is the problem
- 38:06Speaker 3: I think is there is with the show. It's gotten
- 38:08Speaker 3: so meta, Like before the show, there's all this planning
- 38:14Speaker 3: on what's going to happen before the show, and then
- 38:16Speaker 3: people feel obligated to abide by that because especially like
- 38:20Speaker 3: when they're like, oh he's my number one, two or three, Okay,
- 38:22Speaker 3: well I have to go. I hit them in this
- 38:23Speaker 3: order there was it wasn't as organic. And I also
- 38:27Speaker 3: feel like, you know, what happened to the boom boom room.
- 38:29Speaker 3: That was like that's like a fun little thing that
- 38:32Speaker 3: happens every season, not my season. I think it started
- 38:35Speaker 3: when they started, when the show kind of started editing
- 38:38Speaker 3: that in like a really negative and salacious light. So
- 38:41Speaker 3: there's all this kind of worry about how you're going
- 38:43Speaker 3: to be portrayed and who's going to be with who,
- 38:45Speaker 3: and like trying to because the backlash on social media
- 38:49Speaker 3: is wild at times, you know it is, it can
- 38:53Speaker 3: be unbearable. So I understand the fear of getting a
- 38:56Speaker 3: bad edit, but the fear of the bad edit almost
- 38:59Speaker 3: stifles the inspiration of the content.
- 39:02Speaker 2: Yes, yes, you know, well put yeah wow, we had
- 39:05Speaker 2: no boom boom room this season.
- 39:07Speaker 3: No boom boom room.
- 39:09Speaker 2: Think about the drama that that created, like on a
- 39:11Speaker 2: Kenny Moore season.
- 39:13Speaker 3: I know, and for good, Like who cares? Because that
- 39:15Speaker 3: happens in real life. You have one night stance. Who cares,
- 39:19Speaker 3: you know, But because it's televised, like, I get it,
- 39:22Speaker 3: and because your parents are watching personally, I got it.
- 39:24Speaker 3: But I feel like some of the fun of Paradise
- 39:27Speaker 3: has been lost because of the fear of backlash and
- 39:30Speaker 3: the fear of being portrayed in a negative light. You
- 39:34Speaker 3: might just like that fun. Let's just have fun, let's
- 39:37Speaker 3: explore I don't know.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, Well, guys, that is it for Bachelor
