- 0:00Welcome everybody to The One Small Change. I am really
- 0:03excited today that you joined me for this journey of exploration and
- 0:07transformation. I'm your host, Yvonne McCoy, and I bring almost
- 0:1130 years of entrepreneurial experience and a passion
- 0:14for discovering growth through the power of seemingly small change.
- 0:19So I'm so excited that you're following me and joining me today for
- 0:22this inspiration. And today we are gonna be
- 0:26talking to Tessa Gray. Tessa,
- 0:29welcome. Welcome. Well, oh, thank you, Yvonne. I'm
- 0:33so excited to be here One I'm really honored that you invited me to be
- 0:37on your podcast. I can't wait to have a chat with you.
- 0:41Well, you know, for those to be perfectly honest, Tessa
- 0:44and I have done a couple of things together. And one of the things that
- 0:48I loved is, you know, is that she gave
- 0:52me some information that I could use almost immediately.
- 0:55So, you know, we spend our lives on Zoom, so why
- 0:59not look the best that we can? So, Tessa, tell us, you know, a little
- 1:02bit about your you know, what you're gonna talk about and One what your story
- 1:06is, why you do what you do. Well, I
- 1:10suppose the reason I do what I do is because I was that
- 1:14timid child that wouldn't go to a party unless she had a pretty dress to
- 1:17wear, and I got McCoy to make them for me.
- 1:22And fast forward, I
- 1:26know. It's 5 or 6 years. She was shopping and she couldn't make up her
- 1:29mind what to what just to One, and there's obviously some
- 1:32discussion. One she bet she said, which one, Tessa? And I said, that one, mommy.
- 1:36And that was the one that she bought, and she got more compliments in that
- 1:39dress than any other she'd ever bought. So she actually
- 1:43then set decided to send me to Paris where I learnt,
- 1:47tailoring and haute couture. And it was really when I came back from
- 1:50Paris, it was people who say to me, how do you manage to look like
- 1:54a $1,000,000 even in a pair of jeans? So I learned
- 1:58the style, how to style out The, and how to look really, really
- 2:01natural. And so I've dressed women
- 2:05for years, in all sorts of ways. But about
- 2:094 years ago when in lockdown, I realized that people
- 2:13were showing up on Zoom looking terrible in
- 2:17their front rooms or their living rooms, And it was such a mess. And what
- 2:21they didn't realize is that it takes
- 2:25less than a second for somebody to make up their mind, whether they're
- 2:28going to do business with you, ask a question, decide to meet One, or even
- 2:32date you. That's amazing. I mean, a
- 2:36second is what? What? Like a blue Grandmother takes one
- 2:39second to say, and that the research was a naught 0.3
- 2:45of a second. Oh my god. So
- 2:49so even when we don't even when we think we've got plenty of time, we
- 2:53don't. People have already started making making opinions about
- 2:56us. Yeah. And and it's all based on,
- 3:00it's in our DNA. It's fight or flight. It goes
- 3:04back to the thing that that visually, we process things
- 3:07much more quickly than, with what
- 3:11we hear and what we smell and everything like that. That is the fastest
- 3:16processing that we have, and it's basically it's like,
- 3:19okay. Is this friend or foe?
- 3:24Do I want to find out more? The
- 3:27and, you know, the other thing I think is,
- 3:32you know, when you I could be wrong, so you can correct me.
- 3:36But if you're in the wild, in the in our natural
- 3:40habitat, you have a second to kinda get into
- 3:43people's space. When you're in Zoom, it's like,
- 3:47boom, you're there. You know? So it it's The
- 3:51so it speeds up I think it speeds up that reaction even more because
- 3:55you it's not gradual. It's like, you know, one minute you're the
- 3:58you're not there, and the next second you are. So people's you know, you
- 4:02come on and people are like, who is that? What is that kind of
- 4:06reaction? Yeah. And I think that's really true. And one of
- 4:10the things that I noticed One I still notice is
- 4:13that people will come on sort of looking
- 4:17every day, and their pictures on
- 4:21social media like LinkedIn or The headshots on Zoom
- 4:26it's quite often a really beautiful picture that was taken at a wedding
- 4:30or by photographer. And it really doesn't match
- 4:34the person that you're looking at. Mhmm. So you've you
- 4:38researched them on, LinkedIn,
- 4:42and suddenly The show up looking quite different. And that's
- 4:46apparently, it's called cognitive dissonance. So it's basically
- 4:50you're expecting one thing and you're getting another. And so immediately,
- 4:56The, The the way of building rapport, like the
- 4:59trust is kind of broken. And you've got to
- 5:03and and what they what they found in this research is
- 5:07that if that first impression isn't favorable,
- 5:11it takes 18, 30 minute meetings or
- 5:149 hours to undo it. And
- 5:18and I think, you know, the other part to that is that it's taking
- 5:22people longer anyway. I mean, in terms of marketing, it used to
- 5:26take, like, 7 touches. Now it takes 12. So, you
- 5:29know, undoing is so much harder. Do you
- 5:33know? And, you know, one of the things that you said that I thought
- 5:36was interesting, and this is, again, marketing, is
- 5:40that, you know, the picture that you put up on LinkedIn should
- 5:44make sense with what it is that you're doing. So if your
- 5:47LinkedIn picture is of you surfing
- 5:51One you're a financial adviser or, you know, you're a
- 5:55business person, that's a disconnect as well. So
- 5:59you're getting all these visual signals, not only, you know,
- 6:02your face and how you're dressed, but what you're doing and, you know, and and
- 6:06the thing that you're putting out there. So you're not making that, you know,
- 6:10client's trust journey very easy. You're making them really
- 6:14work hard to get to like you.
- 6:18I think so. I mean, I think it I think it's okay to put
- 6:21surfing is, like, I suppose, this is what I was doing on the
- 6:25weekend, something like that, but not have it as a profile picture.
- 6:29Right. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. And and the other thing is that,
- 6:34I'm I'm and I remember not going on a on a
- 6:37retreat, and I've spoken The some this woman on the phone. She was a friend
- 6:41of a friend of mine, and her picture
- 6:45was beautiful. It she had sort of straightened hair, and she looked
- 6:48amazing. And I walked into the room One she
- 6:52had a massive curls, and it sort of looked as though she'd been dragged dragged
- 6:56through her edge backwards because that's the way her hair was. And it was
- 7:00such a disconnect for me, and it
- 7:04did take a while for me to actually
- 7:09connect with with with who I thought she was was
- 7:13in a funny sort of way. It sounds crackers One and it's but
- 7:17it's it's really true. And also The other thing is it's about showing
- 7:20up
- 7:25dressed for, your lifestyle. One and if so for
- 7:29instance, I, I was
- 7:33doing a retreat with them, and my friend came over from America. She
- 7:36arrived day late because she goes standby because her husband was a
- 7:40pilot. And we, so we
- 7:44were she wanted to go to Glastonbury. So we got up at 5 o'clock
- 7:48in the morning to climb to the top of the tour at see the
- 7:51sunrise at 6. And then we went all around
- 7:55Glastonbury, and then we stopped off to see my aunt and
- 7:58uncle on the way to the retreat. And
- 8:02my cousin, who I haven't seen for a while, happened to be there. So we
- 8:05were there a lot longer than we meant to, and I sat with my uncle
- 8:08for about an hour. So it meant we were late leaving. And
- 8:12because it's close to Stonehenge, we hit terrific traffic.
- 8:16And we were meant to be in at the hotel of 6. And so our
- 8:19phone said we're going to be late, and we arrived about 7.
- 8:24And we were in jeans and t shirts. We'd actually changed our
- 8:28shirts at my godmother's at my aunt's, but we we were still
- 8:31in jeans and trainers One and kind
- 8:35of walked in. And on a Sunday, I said to
- 8:39everybody, I said, well, if I showed up beautifully made
- 8:42up and in a dress, you'd have thought, oh, for
- 8:46goodness sake, she spent at least an hour getting ready. Why is she so
- 8:50late? But the fact that I walked in in jeans
- 8:55and, trainers, it was obvious we just it it
- 8:59our clothes told our story in the correct way.
- 9:03Okay. So it wasn't we weren't hiding for what we've been doing.
- 9:06So we we we look fine, but it you know, and I think and the
- 9:10other said, now I get what you mean. Is it yeah. If you turned
- 9:13up looking amazing One undress and everything, we'd just thought, oh, for goodness
- 9:17sake. Can I, can I just go back just a minute?
- 9:20Because I think, you know, this is a conversation
- 9:24that we had earlier before the interview is that, you know,
- 9:28a lot of times people don't if they're not aware of the the impact,
- 9:32the way they look and present themselves has
- 9:35because they, you know, because they
- 9:39think The think of it as being kind of vague maybe or
- 9:43superficial. I mean, I think maybe that's what it's
- 9:46about. So I wanna be very clear that
- 9:50you're not talking about, you know, putting
- 9:54on a ton of lacquer or being
- 9:58artificial. You're talking about presenting yourself in a way
- 10:02that's in alignment with who you actually
- 10:06are and looking the best the way you
- 10:10the way you are and the way you're comfortable. You know, it's not
- 10:13creating a false persona. That's not what you're talking about at
- 10:17all. So can you talk about that a little bit? Because, you know, some people
- 10:20are more casual, some people are more, you know,
- 10:25you know, depending on the environment and stuff they're in, you know,
- 10:28they're more this or more that. I mean, I know one of the things, you
- 10:31know, when I was in corporate, I, you know, I had suits.
- 10:36Right? And then when I came out of corporate, I was like, I, you
- 10:39know, I don't wanna have to do this again. And though although I still
- 10:43stuck with kind of The, you know, having 3 pieces,
- 10:47it was a lot looser and more comfortable. And I wore longer cardigan
- 10:51sweaters and stuff like that because I felt
- 10:54comfortable that way. Right. So it wasn't
- 10:58about, it wasn't about,
- 11:02trying to make people think that I was somebody that I wasn't.
- 11:06You know? I mean, I remember as a kid, I said to McCoy my mother
- 11:09said to me, you know, Yvonne, if you would dress up some, you know, you
- 11:12would attract a nice boy. And I said, mom, if they love me if he
- 11:15loves me in my jeans, he's gonna love me when I get dressed. You know?
- 11:19So it's not about false advertising. So I said, tell us
- 11:23more about that, and then I went on. So tell us more about that,
- 11:27the feeling people have that this is superficial or, you know, not
- 11:31important. Well, I think I think one of the things, and that
- 11:35probably, is really super
- 11:38important to to me is that my mom was an athlete and a skier, and
- 11:41she is a real tomboy. So she hated getting dressed
- 11:45dressing up One clothes. So, basically, I grew up,
- 11:49but she used to dress us. And, and
- 11:53I think it's about you have to be really comfortable with your clothes
- 11:57and with your look. Because if you're not, if you
- 12:00don't feel good in your clothes, you won't look good in your clothes. You won't
- 12:04look as good as you could do. And one of the big
- 12:08mistakes people make is they buy things because the sales
- 12:12assistant or shop assistant says it looks amazing,
- 12:15or the stylist that they've had from the shop One they've spent a
- 12:19huge amount of One. And they probably do look really good in the clothes,
- 12:23but their clothes are not them. They don't reflect The personality.
- 12:28And one of the things that we that your clothes can
- 12:32do is they reflect your personality as who
- 12:36you are, what you represent, One,
- 12:40and and from business point of view, what you offer in your business.
- 12:45So for me, I'm kind of like my
- 12:49I have a my my personality is sort of
- 12:52like, sort of I've got this
- 12:56EuroChic, which is from Paris, and then I've got the casual,
- 13:00like The athletic size. So I'm quite happy to turn
- 13:04up in looking like that. And so I can actually make myself look really
- 13:07good in a pair of jeans or dressed up
- 13:11to the to I mean, when I was riding as a jockey,
- 13:15I was chatting up a humble by somebody who didn't recognize me.
- 13:19He didn't realize who I was, so I didn't recognize you
- 13:23without your hat Yvonne. But and I think it's about being
- 13:26comfortable with your look and having your so
- 13:30that your clothes make you feel good. Because if your clothes don't make you feel
- 13:33good, you don't perform as well. And that's another
- 13:37thing I love for my mom because she was an Olympic skier, is you have
- 13:41your competition clothes. And when you put them on, you go in the
- 13:44zone. And that's what really I help my clients with for those
- 13:48Zoom meetings. You don't need loads of different outfits. We
- 13:52just choose the best ones, the best colors to go with your
- 13:55background, and they'll actually tell the right story about you
- 13:59so that when you show up on Zoom, you pop on camera,
- 14:03you instantly build rapport, and people want to find out more.
- 14:08So, I'm just gonna I you know, you said you said a lot
- 14:11of stuff. Let me see if I can unpack a little bit of it.
- 14:16So one is that it's really important to feel comfortable in
- 14:20your clothes. And, you know, and and so for those
- 14:24of us, you know, one of the things that, you know, I learned
- 14:27as, so people have heard me say this that I weighed a
- 14:31lot. I still weigh a lot. But one of the things that was really important
- 14:35to me was to stop shopping by looking to
- 14:38buy something that was a certain size One instead
- 14:42buy it by how it actually fit. Because,
- 14:46you know, manufacturers have all kinds of different things, and and it
- 14:50was like I needed you know, one of the things that I
- 14:53liked was I kinda like things that are a little bit flowy because they
- 14:57have movement to The. You know? And I can I can move and stuff
- 15:01like that? But I know that I had a, I had a, an
- 15:04outfit once that I really liked, that I could
- 15:08wear. It, it was sleeveless, but I could also wear a shirt with it.
- 15:12And when I wore a white a tan shirt with
- 15:16it, which for some I went through like this beige period, which
- 15:19apparently is like the worst color I could wear. When I
- 15:23when I when I when I would wear the beige
- 15:26shirt, people would say to me, are you okay? Do you feel
- 15:30okay? Do you know? And when I wore the white shirt, they would be, you
- 15:34look really good. And I would be like, well, wait. I have on the same
- 15:37outfit. I feel like, you know, what is the difference? So it really does
- 15:41impact the way people see
- 15:45you, you know, because of the way it, you know. And then the
- 15:49other thing is I like what you said about having your competition
- 15:52close. I think I actually do that.
- 15:56I have certain things it's like, when when I really
- 16:00wanna pop, I wear red. You know, it's
- 16:04like, yes, this is, you know,
- 16:08it gives me this like fiery feeling, you know, like I'm
- 16:12on fire, you know? And so I think it's I think we
- 16:15all have those things, but it's kind of being conscious of
- 16:19it so that we can repeat it. And I think the
- 16:22other part of that is once you're aware of that or I should say to
- 16:26you, talk about how One you're aware The it
- 16:30simplifies, you know, your wardrobe,
- 16:34buying clothes, you know, the results that
- 16:38you get? Well, it, it
- 16:42means you don't need as many clothes because one of the things that if you
- 16:45get if you I'm just putting this on to just to give you a little
- 16:49bit of a difference. So how you can quickly change your look.
- 16:54And, you don't need a lot of clothes. It, once
- 16:58you know what colors work for you and you have your own personalized,
- 17:02color swatch, which is what I do. I don't put people in
- 17:06seasons. You get your own personalized one. Basically, it makes
- 17:09shopping so easy because you can walk into a shop, scan it,
- 17:14and if there's nothing that's the right color, you just walk out.
- 17:18Because The as as you've just said, if you buy the wrong color
- 17:22One against your face, it can make you look 25 years older, sick and ill.
- 17:25It really can. It looks horrible. And sick One ill. It really
- 17:28can. It looks horrible. And it and it doesn't really make you feel good, but
- 17:32when you get the right colors, they make you pop. And
- 17:36that immediately uplifts your mood and your confidence, and so
- 17:40people buy that. So it it shortens your shopping
- 17:43time. Knowing
- 17:47how to buy clothes that that platform fits you One
- 17:51how to how to shop for your shape. That's the other
- 17:54thing. And then once you've got the clothes the colors
- 17:58all the colors that work for you, you can
- 18:02I show my clients to create wardrobes, like,
- 18:06have One brand of plants? She said, I've hardly got any close to her.
- 18:10Will you come over and wave your magic wand? We didn't buy she didn't buy
- 18:14anything new. Actually, she made she bought a jacket. That was
- 18:17it. She yes. I had to go and see the The. And she had we
- 18:21got rid of some of her clothes, and she had about
- 18:2515 new different outfits to wear because I showed her how to mix
- 18:28and match her clothes so she One how to create
- 18:32different looks, using her separates or whatever.
- 18:37And suddenly she had a whole range of outfits that she never
- 18:40thought she had. So, you know, the thing I
- 18:44the thing that I think, so once you've you've
- 18:48got kind of almost your signature style and signature
- 18:52colors, people recognize you. They,
- 18:56you know, they see something and they go, oh, you know, they they have a
- 19:00certain expectation. So it makes it simpler. And, you know,
- 19:03this sounds as a productivity person, it means you're spending a
- 19:07whole lot less time fiddling about what you're gonna
- 19:11wear. Yeah. I mean, I have One client one client. She said to
- 19:14me, I used to expect go into a shop One spend 2 and a half
- 19:18hours and come out with something that I thought might do.
- 19:23Now I just walk in and walk straight out with what I want. It's made
- 19:27shopping so much easier. Well, just The other thing sorry. I
- 19:31was gonna say, doesn't it make getting dressed in the morning easier? Because everything that's
- 19:34in your closet is right. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. You do.
- 19:38You you don't you don't just grab something and then and put it
- 19:42on. I mean, I remember going to, One event where where I
- 19:46paid it with some sort of social media thing. And the
- 19:49people the woman giving it, she was an marketing director of a big
- 19:53company in our in our area. And we went around and said what
- 19:57we did. It got to me because I was last. And she said,
- 20:01if I'd known you were coming out, I'd warned something else.
- 20:05And I thought that was actually so disrespectful for a
- 20:09for herself and also for everybody else in the room
- 20:13because they'd all dressed up One she just grabbed the first thing that
- 20:17came out of her closet. It was pale blue shirt. One wasn't even
- 20:21very nice and didn't look that good on that. I and but to actually say
- 20:24that into a in front of 12 people who paid, goodness
- 20:28knows what, for her advice, I just thought was kind of Change,
- 20:32really. So I do I just wanna recap a couple of
- 20:35things. And, so
- 20:39what is it that you want people to take away, and what is
- 20:42it you know, a couple of things that people can start doing immediately?
- 20:49I think the first thing is first impressions count, you never know who
- 20:53you're Yvonne meet.
- 20:57And your clothes should make you feel good. So if something doesn't make
- 21:00you feel good, then put it
- 21:04aside and either sell it or give it away
- 21:08or ask somebody why it doesn't work
- 21:11because, then you won't make the same mistake again. So that's
- 21:15one thing. And your class shouldn't make should be One,
- 21:19and they should make you feel good. And I think that's the most important
- 21:23thing, and they should be aligned to what you're doing. So I think the most
- 21:26important thing that I could I could tell people is,
- 21:30particularly on Zoom, is what my clients
- 21:34one of my clients says. She said I've got it pinned on my laptop, she
- 21:37said, because when I'm I help people look good on Zoom.
- 21:40It's her face space. So her
- 21:44hair's brushed. Her face is done, so
- 21:48she's she's looking good. She's on because sometimes in
- 21:52the light, you have to wear a bit more makeup so that you don't look
- 21:55so ill and drained. Because if you've got lights, the bright
- 21:59light will actually make you look much paler. So extra
- 22:03makeup helps you lift you. And
- 22:07then space is the area that you're sitting in and what you've got behind
- 22:11you because you don't want distractions behind you.
- 22:14You do not want a messy background. You want a background
- 22:18that so that that is not that busy so that
- 22:22people concentrating on what you're saying One not what they're looking
- 22:26at. So if I if you
- 22:29were gonna give one hint about tomorrow
- 22:33morning, when somebody goes into their closet,
- 22:37what would you say would be
- 22:41no. Let let me leave that to a little bit late. Tell me about your
- 22:43freebie. Tell me about your gift first. Well, I've I
- 22:47I run I have a webinar which is coming up, which
- 22:52when I Can I just stop you one second? Do you do that regularly.
- 22:55Right? So Yeah. I do that regularly. Yeah.
- 22:59But but with it, what I'm going to give for as a special gift for
- 23:02everybody that's on the who's on this, who signs up for the
- 23:06webinar. When they sign up,
- 23:10what we're going to do is we'll give you I'm going to do a special
- 23:13makeup class for Zoom, which will be
- 23:17after the webinar. You could once they've come to the webinar, and then they get
- 23:21they get an invitation to a makeup class to show you how
- 23:25to make yourself up for for Zoom because,
- 23:29it really helps when you've got evening
- 23:32meetings or your lighting or something. You just need a little bit
- 23:36of makeup just just to highlight it, just to
- 23:40you know, if you don't wear a lot of makeup, it doesn't matter, but we
- 23:43can show you how to do the lighting as well so that it looks as
- 23:46though you you are. But a little bit really, really helps.
- 23:50So the other thing I wanna tell people is that you work with men as
- 23:53well as as One, because we've been talking kinda like the girls.
- 23:57Yeah. You know? But I I've talked to you before, and I know that you've
- 24:00talked you've helped guys with the way they dress and stuff. And,
- 24:04you know, the advice that you give on Zoom, whether guys are gonna wear some
- 24:07makeup or not, you know, the other lighting
- 24:11advice and stuff is is still for anybody
- 24:15who's who's interested. Yeah. So okay.
- 24:18So, let me just put
- 24:22in, you know, the advertisement as it were,
- 24:27which is basically make sure that you subscribe and follow and share
- 24:30because we're trying to, you know, grow our audience and bring, you
- 24:34know, grow a vibrant community that really is,
- 24:39helping you grow One we Yvonne grow connection and stuff.
- 24:42So be sure you do that. You're gonna find the link for this
- 24:46free for the webinar and the link, that you need to
- 24:50do so The you can get a hold of Tessa. Because if you
- 24:54if you've got something important coming up, you may wanna book a call and
- 24:57not wait for the webinar. We believe in taking action.
- 25:02So we wanna make sure you do that. So the question that I was going
- 25:05to ask you before was,
- 25:09if we were walking into
- 25:13our closet tomorrow One we had some some place, something important
- 25:17that we wanted to do, or we just wanted to put our best foot forward
- 25:20for whatever reason. What would be the one thing that you would say to
- 25:23maybe say to yourself so that we would stop and consider,
- 25:28you know, how we look? You're dressing
- 25:32for what you're doing, who you're meeting,
- 25:37and the outcome that you want. So
- 25:41it's a question so this is quite a difficult question to
- 25:44answer that because it's about think you're about thinking, okay.
- 25:48So or what's my day going to be? And what The
- 25:52what's what piece of toggling is going to last me all the way through
- 25:56the day and get me through all the meetings I've got or One it
- 26:00is you're doing. But from what you said to me, the thing that I'm taking
- 26:03away is what am I what what are you know, having all those
- 26:07things, taking all those things into consideration, what can I pick that's
- 26:10gonna give me the highest energy level? You know, make me feel
- 26:14the best. I mean, I I think we already Pick a
- 26:18vibrant color that makes you feel good and wear it against your face.
- 26:21It's your what you're wearing against your face.
- 26:26Is the things that makes you pop on camera. It doesn't matter so much what
- 26:30you wear down below. So pick something
- 26:33that a vibrant color that makes you feel good One you know,
- 26:37you look good in. Okay. So here's a fun
- 26:41question for you before we stop. When was the last
- 26:45time you did something for the first time That you
- 26:48did something new.
- 26:53Well, I suppose running a webinar. That was, yeah,
- 26:57that was yeah. I haven't done
- 27:01that before. So that was The was in January. I did that in January.
- 27:05And you know what? When you do and and here's, I think, the thing, doing
- 27:08something new, I think, first of all, you have to get out of your
- 27:11comfort zone. Right? And it puts you into a
- 27:15learning space because you're doing something The you're learning as you go along.
- 27:19So it really expands expands who you are
- 27:23and what you can do and how many people you can impact. Even
- 27:26if you're doing something for fun, it gives you a way to
- 27:30connect with other people. So, Tessa, thank you so
- 27:34much. You know, we we've talked before and
- 27:37you've had an impact on, on me, in terms
- 27:41of thinking about
- 27:45taking some of the ideas that maybe I kinda knew, but kind of putting in
- 27:49perspective and show me how important it actually is The it shouldn't be
- 27:53an afterthought. Do you know? That it should be,
- 27:56but it should feel comfortable. When you find your style, I think you
- 28:00feel comfortable One you can focus on other things and on other
- 28:03people. I think that's the other part. You're not go you're not sitting there
- 28:07going, I wonder what they're thinking about me. I wonder if I'm looking okay. I
- 28:10One you know, you can spend your time focusing on other people because you
- 28:14feel good in your own skin. And I think that has a lot to do
- 28:17with your, you know, your authenticity. And if if part of that
- 28:21is, you know, for me, having purple hair would never work.
- 28:25But if that's what what your message is One the way you wanna
- 28:29be, then go for it, you know, if you can feel comfortable like
- 28:32that. Well, absolutely. Because that's a reflection of your your personality.
- 28:36You're an extrovert. So if you're an extrovert, dress like One. If you're,
- 28:40a romantic dress like One, you can wear romantic clothes like
- 28:44frills and things like that. If you're dramatic, you want to
- 28:48make a dramatic entrance, dress
- 28:52in in dramatic colors and clothes. One the other the
- 28:55other thing that I think I'd really love to say is,
- 28:59and One I do this with quite a lot of my clients, is that their
- 29:03business branding, if they're choosing colors, I will say choose
- 29:06colors that work for you to wear. Because then when you walk into a room
- 29:10or when you show up wearing your branding clothes, that is a really
- 29:14good, integral part of
- 29:18your marketing because people remember the colors.
- 29:22And they associate them with you. They associate those colors with
- 29:26you. Those are wonderful last words. So everybody,
- 29:29this is Tessa Gray. Reach out to her. And I Yvonne
- 29:33just remind you The change can be simple, but it isn't always easy.
- 29:37And that's because it requires courage, resilience, and a willingness
- 29:41to be uncomfortable. So join me again for the One small change as
- 29:45we embark on a journey of bold and innovative possibilities.
- 29:49And I can't wait to talk to you next time. Stay curious. Say
- 29:53bye. Bye. Thank you so much for having me. That has been
- 29:57amazing. Thank you. Thank you.
