- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, party people, what's going on?
- 0:02Speaker 2: Woop woop party party over here? Partying on the Lunai. Bye,
- 0:12Speaker 2: hey Aaron, welcome to the party. Hi, so you brought
- 0:17Speaker 2: your Mountain dew to party.
- 0:21Speaker 3: This is what I do at parties. I sit in
- 0:23Speaker 3: the corner and hold my drink.
- 0:25Speaker 2: You shit in the corner.
- 0:26Speaker 3: I sit in a corner, hold on my drink.
- 0:29Speaker 4: I used to read my kindle on my phone in
- 0:32Speaker 4: the corner in trouble a few people.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Do you know what you do at parties?
- 0:36Speaker 2: You talk to other people fucking wach Oh.
- 0:40Speaker 3: My god, are you crazy? Other people are the worst?
- 0:43Speaker 4: Right?
- 0:44Speaker 2: That's true. On the Lunai is part of the Odd
- 0:47Speaker 2: Pods media network.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Oh my god. I am excellent at a party, as
- 1:13Speaker 1: I'm sure you would imagine.
- 1:15Speaker 2: I am until i'm my battery runs out, and then
- 1:18Speaker 2: I need to go be an introvim. Yeah, I'm done.
- 1:21Speaker 1: If a party is rocking, I keep knocking. I will
- 1:25Speaker 1: go all night, man, I will just I can. I
- 1:28Speaker 1: will be one of the last people at a party
- 1:30Speaker 1: like pretty consistently.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I mean I've donege.
- 1:34Speaker 4: I went to bed at ten o'clock out of New
- 1:36Speaker 4: Year's Eve party, told them to wake me up just
- 1:38Speaker 4: before midnight?
- 1:40Speaker 2: Did they wake here?
- 1:41Speaker 3: So here are the rules. It has to be like
- 1:45Speaker 3: ten or less people, and they have to be all
- 1:47Speaker 3: people that I know. And then I'm going to be
- 1:51Speaker 3: like bouncing off the walls crazy and just losing my
- 1:55Speaker 3: mind and like trying to make people laugh, having a
- 1:58Speaker 3: great time.
- 1:59Speaker 2: So if you count eleven, if.
- 2:01Speaker 3: There's more than if there's if there's more, it's it's
- 2:03Speaker 3: it's not like a counting thing, like I don't exactly
- 2:06Speaker 3: go eleven. Nope, going to when.
- 2:08Speaker 4: There's lots of people you don't know, it makes you uncomfortable.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Shut the fuck down, Just stand in the corner and
- 2:16Speaker 3: just wait for the inevitable person to acknowledge my existence
- 2:22Speaker 3: and acknowledge theirs. And then when it is the appropriate
- 2:26Speaker 3: time to wait, wait for the appropriate time to like, I.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Love, I love. Look, I'm better on like first meeting.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I mean, the longer you know me, the harder it
- 2:40Speaker 1: is to stay my friend. So I feel like parties
- 2:44Speaker 1: are where I'm at my finest.
- 2:46Speaker 2: We're all laughing because it's true.
- 2:50Speaker 3: It's so funny you would say that because our first
- 2:54Speaker 3: meeting is generally like my favorite memory of you optimal
- 3:01Speaker 3: erin yeah.
- 3:02Speaker 1: But you've had you've had other good times with me,
- 3:05Speaker 1: but she'll just such a crazy But.
- 3:09Speaker 3: It's depreciating in value as time goes on.
- 3:15Speaker 2: You're like, oh this gold rub right off.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Listener, Chocolate listeners. You can tell that these three people
- 3:26Speaker 1: are in like my top like ten people in the world,
- 3:30Speaker 1: or they wouldn't be allowed to talk to me like this.
- 3:35Speaker 2: We'll talk to you this when you'll like it. God
- 3:36Speaker 2: damn it.
- 3:37Speaker 4: We've been through the trenches. It's okay.
- 3:40Speaker 1: We've seen some ship. Yeah, speaking speaking of seeing some ship,
- 3:46Speaker 1: everybody's favorites back for this episode we're gonna watch today.
- 3:49Speaker 1: You guys are excited.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Fuck Daddy's here because we have a stand episode. Do
- 3:57Speaker 2: you still enjoy being our stand I'm Stan.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Hi, everybody, Hey, it's me. It's me Stan.
- 4:04Speaker 1: You know that we love you so much, mister Randolph
- 4:07Speaker 1: that you usurped Eddie Pence. Eddie Pence was originally slotted
- 4:12Speaker 1: to be our Stan, and then we brought you in
- 4:15Speaker 1: from that episode that we kept you. He's basically Coco.
- 4:24Speaker 1: We've never even had him on the show yet. He's
- 4:26Speaker 1: because he has a child with a sports ye abbot.
- 4:32Speaker 3: An unfortunate sports habit, he has a family.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Yeah, he's I mean, you have responsibilities to Iron.
- 4:40Speaker 2: You have to record after this.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I have another podcast to immediately run too.
- 4:45Speaker 1: So yes, you're an acclaimed author and gifted podcaster.
- 4:51Speaker 4: He's a machine.
- 4:53Speaker 1: The machine is so weird because we have a machina,
- 4:58Speaker 1: Gina the editor.
- 4:59Speaker 2: What we were stretch. I didn't like it.
- 5:08Speaker 1: It was a little bit stretched, but.
- 5:11Speaker 3: I enjoyed it personally. I appreciated it.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I wanted to give I wanted to give props to
- 5:15Speaker 1: Gina because Gina is literally a machine. She is churning
- 5:19Speaker 1: out our episodes and editing, and so is Kristen. I
- 5:25Speaker 1: just have to take meetings and try to get people
- 5:26Speaker 1: to sit in in the guest host seed or to
- 5:31Speaker 1: listen to our ship. But these two are constantly working
- 5:34Speaker 1: behind the scenes, and I just want to take Yeah,
- 5:38Speaker 1: you guys are thank you so much for being a friend.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Yeah. I wish there was a song for that. Yeah,
- 5:48Speaker 3: I wish there was a song.
- 5:49Speaker 2: We should write.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Nobody nobody's ever written one.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Let's do it.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I think we should probably include Miami is nice, so
- 5:59Speaker 1: I'll say it thrice or something cuter than and inner Uterine.
- 6:05Speaker 1: All Right, let's uh, let's move on. What's going on? Guys?
- 6:09Speaker 1: Anyone have any fun stories?
- 6:10Speaker 4: Still?
- 6:12Speaker 2: I went to comic Con and it was great and
- 6:15Speaker 2: I spent too much money.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Now this is your second comic con or third?
- 6:20Speaker 2: Second?
- 6:21Speaker 4: Second? Nice, did you learn anything new from the last
- 6:25Speaker 4: time that made it easier this time?
- 6:27Speaker 2: Or get proper shoes?
- 6:31Speaker 1: Mmm?
- 6:31Speaker 2: Walk walk in preparation. Losing weight helped. Yeah, you're not
- 6:37Speaker 2: gonna be able to do it all, so make a plan,
- 6:40Speaker 2: but then roll with it.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Nice, you're also like elbow level. I feel like I
- 6:47Speaker 1: learned I used to Yeah, when I used to go
- 6:50Speaker 1: all the time, I learned to like walk with my
- 6:53Speaker 1: bags of swag across my body and like tight to
- 6:57Speaker 1: my person, but to keep my arms out a little
- 6:59Speaker 1: to leave room in the crowd, so that like if
- 7:01Speaker 1: I bumped into someone that was my elbows and not
- 7:03Speaker 1: like my face or my booy. Just kind of like
- 7:08Speaker 1: walked with like a purpose and kind of like in
- 7:11Speaker 1: like a battle mode.
- 7:13Speaker 2: It's it's a lot of like if you've ever tried
- 7:15Speaker 2: to leave, like the crowds at Disney, just you look
- 7:20Speaker 2: for holes and you yeah, you do quick maneuvers.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I feel like I'm better at that kind of a
- 7:28Speaker 1: thing because of my years Overgantnut Scary Farm, where I
- 7:30Speaker 1: had to weave the grounds to scare and so I'm
- 7:34Speaker 1: pretty good at surging. In fact, i'm good at that
- 7:36Speaker 1: just regular daytime Disneyland.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Was that he called surging. I like that.
- 7:40Speaker 1: You surge like through the Yeah.
- 7:42Speaker 2: You're like, oh, holes opening up.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Scary that fucker. There's a lot of there's a lot
- 7:48Speaker 1: of like leading with like your upper body and like
- 7:52Speaker 1: snaking into something too, like that's my story, I thinks.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Or you grab your partner's backpack to make sure you
- 7:59Speaker 2: get through an intersection.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Yeah, we're together.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Way, we're both going.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Yep.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Have you guys ever been to comic Con?
- 8:09Speaker 4: No, it's on my my bucket list someday.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I used to go all the time, but now I don't.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Now I don't go to the one up because it's
- 8:16Speaker 1: not as good as the one down there.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Yeah, they've done some in Sack.
- 8:20Speaker 2: But okay, you've been to any in the East Coast there?
- 8:24Speaker 3: No, I don't think so.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Wellcome into some video game cons.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah, didn't you guys do a show?
- 8:30Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, no.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Little Little conor Little Con.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Yeah, Low Con.
- 8:35Speaker 2: We did which is what type of con?
- 8:38Speaker 3: A little one.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Like little people.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I've added to your slap taally, sir.
- 8:44Speaker 3: It's it's literally it's it's it's called little con for
- 8:48Speaker 3: a reason. Yeah, it's just like video games, board games,
- 8:52Speaker 3: you know, pretty much let your geek flag fly, whatever.
- 8:56Speaker 3: But it's usually just in like a hotel in our
- 8:58Speaker 3: dinky as town, so it's like nothing. But I did
- 9:03Speaker 3: have fun doing an author's panel with some of the
- 9:06Speaker 3: other authors there, and that.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Was a good time.
- 9:08Speaker 2: You're not too far from New York Comic Con, but
- 9:10Speaker 2: that's a good one. I don't know where they hold
- 9:12Speaker 2: it up.
- 9:13Speaker 3: I'm guessing New York, just.
- 9:15Speaker 2: A thought I would hope. So yeah, just right in
- 9:17Speaker 2: the river.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, literally in the Hudson. You have to wear
- 9:23Speaker 3: a full swim well, yeah, you can still coseplay, you
- 9:31Speaker 3: just have to go as Aquaman.
- 9:32Speaker 2: But what have you guys been up to?
- 9:37Speaker 1: I'm glad you're here for Aaron Randolph's last episode.
- 9:43Speaker 4: I did have some exciting news from this week.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Oh yes, tell us.
- 9:47Speaker 4: Okay, I have a new niece. I was just born,
- 9:53Speaker 4: so I have another baby.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Spoiled by the time the sairs, you know, months be
- 9:58Speaker 2: a couple of months.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Yeah, she's enrolled in college.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Tell us the name Juniper jer call her my little berry,
- 10:06Speaker 4: Juniper Berry. Oh yeah, she's like a full head of
- 10:13Speaker 4: hair for like a full in the back.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Of the head. I was like, she's got a mullet already.
- 10:19Speaker 2: What's happened.
- 10:21Speaker 4: But I get to meet her in person tomorrow, so
- 10:24Speaker 4: I'm very excited. I had, okay, no, and this will
- 10:28Speaker 4: be my six I have five nieces and one nephew now,
- 10:32Speaker 4: so I'm living the anti life.
- 10:35Speaker 2: That poor nephew so much estrogen.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I just want to let you guys know that Abby
- 10:41Speaker 1: and Kristen did have a little disagreement the other day
- 10:44Speaker 1: about this baby, because Kristin explained that when a baby
- 10:50Speaker 1: is born with a full head of hair like that,
- 10:52Speaker 1: that usually the mom has some acid reflux, and so
- 10:55Speaker 1: Abby said that her mother had had acid reflex and
- 11:00Speaker 1: Kristen and Abby engaged in a fight about the fact
- 11:03Speaker 1: that I was not Abby's birth mother and that Abby
- 11:06Speaker 1: wasn't people. And it was hilarious because Abby really fought
- 11:11Speaker 1: hard that she was people.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Yes, Abby's under the delusion that Aaron carried her in
- 11:17Speaker 4: her uterus for nine months before she came out.
- 11:22Speaker 1: That's that's a running gag in our family, is that
- 11:24Speaker 1: Abby doesn't know that I'm not her birth mom, and
- 11:27Speaker 1: so Abby and Kristen.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I'm confused you or your mother or well.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Abby thinks she's my wife now because she bosses me
- 11:37Speaker 1: around like a trophy wife would boss around a sad
- 11:41Speaker 1: middle aged man who had money.
- 11:44Speaker 3: But she's up until they had money. Part that was me?
- 11:50Speaker 1: Wait, is that should we just boss you around more?
- 11:52Speaker 1: Is that what we're supposed to do?
- 11:54Speaker 4: No?
- 11:55Speaker 1: I like I'm reading into this with the slap tally
- 12:01Speaker 1: and everything. Is this like a weird bd S I'm
- 12:03Speaker 1: thing with you because maybe we should introduce him to
- 12:05Speaker 1: our former guest pardle Oh yeah?
- 12:07Speaker 4: And then the DOMINICX.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Yeah is that something you'd be interested in?
- 12:13Speaker 3: Listen, I call me book subby. Okay, I guess that
- 12:18Speaker 3: would be interesting.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Well, that got weird fast.
- 12:20Speaker 3: That got weird fast?
- 12:21Speaker 1: Yeah, lean so far?
- 12:23Speaker 3: I think sorry turned on thinking too much about my
- 12:28Speaker 3: penis now, so anyway, let's talk about it.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Let's not let's talk about your penis. No, I don't
- 12:35Speaker 1: feel like we talk about penises enough on.
- 12:37Speaker 3: This for a reason. For a reason.
- 12:44Speaker 2: You're just doing is it healthy, my internet connections failing.
- 12:48Speaker 3: What the hell is happening?
- 12:49Speaker 2: Uh no, you're so repressed, Eric Jesus Chrrest.
- 12:55Speaker 1: It's so weird. It's like he doesn't think we have
- 12:58Speaker 1: eyes and saw that he hit me when he was
- 13:00Speaker 1: doing that. Well, we've made Aaron uncomfortable enough. Maybe we
- 13:05Speaker 1: should make you comfortable by listening to these incredible messages
- 13:09Speaker 1: from our sponsor. After Gina shares the trivia on this
- 13:12Speaker 1: episode got detailer it did?
- 13:16Speaker 2: All right, we're going to talk about season two, episode thirteen.
- 13:20Speaker 2: It's called The Stan Who Came to Dinner. The original
- 13:25Speaker 2: air ate date was January tenth, nineteen eighty seven, directed
- 13:29Speaker 2: by Terry Hughes, written by Terry Grossman and Kathy Spear.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Now it's pretty descriptive. What do you think The Stan
- 13:37Speaker 2: who Came to Dinner is about?
- 13:39Speaker 4: Dorothy invites Stan to come to dinner.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Obviously, but I'll give you that idea.
- 13:45Speaker 4: It's because he's having some kind of issue. He always
- 13:50Speaker 4: has issues, this poor Stan. Every time he pops up,
- 13:52Speaker 4: it's because he's having some kind of life crisis, and
- 13:55Speaker 4: he runs back to Dorothy, the woman that he tossed aside.
- 14:00Speaker 4: It'll be interesting yeah.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Do you feel like she's his safety blanket? Yes? Yes,
- 14:06Speaker 3: So what kind of thing do you think this is
- 14:08Speaker 3: this time? Let's see if we can narrow down this
- 14:10Speaker 3: issue a little more. Do you think it's like social?
- 14:13Speaker 3: Do you think it's like financial? Do you think it's medical?
- 14:17Speaker 4: I think it's medical because the first time he was
- 14:20Speaker 4: having issues with the girl, Chrissy or whatever, So.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Yeah, that would be social. Has he had career issues?
- 14:27Speaker 3: I don't remember.
- 14:29Speaker 1: He lost the business?
- 14:31Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, already, So that's why I'm thinking maybe it's
- 14:34Speaker 4: a health.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Thing that kind of leaves medical. So I'll go with
- 14:38Speaker 3: you on that.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Very good. And then who would the villain be?
- 14:42Speaker 3: Mm?
- 14:44Speaker 1: Besides capitalism? Obviously?
- 14:46Speaker 3: I think it almost does it. Would it make sense
- 14:49Speaker 3: for it to be stand because I think at some
- 14:51Speaker 3: point Dorothy's got to make a stand, no pun intended,
- 14:55Speaker 3: but she's got it. She got to put her foot
- 14:57Speaker 3: down because he keeps doing this. Kristen, are you alive?
- 15:01Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 15:02Speaker 3: I'm thinking, okay, this is no. I didn't I didn't
- 15:06Speaker 3: see this.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Audible format of entertainment, ma'am. Oh, thanks.
- 15:10Speaker 2: It is an acceptable choice, Aaron.
- 15:14Speaker 4: I mean, usually we pick one of the four women.
- 15:17Speaker 3: I was we're trying.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Aaron has to make the person the villain, So I'm
- 15:23Speaker 4: always inclined to pick somebody who wouldn't be a villain
- 15:26Speaker 4: towards stand to make it harder for Aaron to make
- 15:29Speaker 4: that person the villain for the episode.
- 15:31Speaker 3: It's just capitalism.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Hello, can I offer you some capitalism.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Happening?
- 15:45Speaker 2: We just got freshly in stock.
- 15:47Speaker 4: So my thought process was Rose only because really, exactly,
- 15:54Speaker 4: because Aaron has to make this person the villain, gonna
- 15:57Speaker 4: be hard.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Trying to make this a different cold as possible.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Yes, exactly to challengee. We did. We did tee it
- 16:04Speaker 2: up last week. Yeah, fair enough.
- 16:07Speaker 4: It's just the thought. If you have an other person whatever, that's.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Fine by me. My gun instinct was and still his
- 16:14Speaker 3: stand so for for a real answer. But if we're
- 16:16Speaker 3: looking just to fuck over Aaron, then yeah, Rose, let's.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Fuck Aeron over.
- 16:22Speaker 4: It's fun.
- 16:23Speaker 1: No one else is fucking Aaron right now, so somebody's
- 16:27Speaker 1: gotta I'm sorry.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Oh, if I find a boy, I'll send him up there.
- 16:32Speaker 4: I mean, well, I think you'd prefer a man.
- 16:34Speaker 2: But okay, I'll find a man, I'll send him.
- 16:37Speaker 1: I'd enough of boys. Well, with that in mind, folks,
- 16:42Speaker 1: let's head on out of here and let's listen to
- 16:45Speaker 1: some words from our sponsors.
- 16:49Speaker 5: Hey you there, We've got a question for you. Are
- 16:52Speaker 5: you tired of clickbait stories and the loudest voices driving
- 16:55Speaker 5: discussions and culture and entertainment.

- 17:11Speaker 7: We take a more reasonable and centrist approach, and our
- 17:13Speaker 7: discussions covering genres like comedy, culture, entertainment, and interviews with
- 17:19Speaker 7: really interesting folks like business owners, comic creators, doctors, news anchors,

- 17:29Speaker 7: We really value a relaxed and conversational podcast, one that

- 17:39Speaker 5: So search at from the Midpod just like it sounds,
- 17:43Speaker 5: or check us out everywhere you can find podcasts.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Welcome back, friends, Hello, Whereas our guests would say on
- 17:54Speaker 1: his show, Hey man, welcome man.
- 17:56Speaker 4: What's up?
- 17:57Speaker 3: Hey man, welcome back. There it is going on.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Well, are you kids ready to play another one of
- 18:08Speaker 1: my excellent quinzes? Wow? There don't need to be a
- 18:15Speaker 1: bish all right, start off. Just a reminder, Aaron, please
- 18:19Speaker 1: wait till I finish the question. Your your name is
- 18:22Speaker 1: your buzzer, blah blah, al right, here we go. Who
- 18:25Speaker 1: is at the front door at the start of the episode, Dren.
- 18:31Speaker 1: I think Kristen was smidge ahead of Aaron this time.
- 18:33Speaker 4: I think so, Rob and Bob Win brothers.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, okay, all right, okay, okay, next question.
- 18:45Speaker 1: How much advance notice does Dorothy say she wants before
- 18:49Speaker 1: Stan finger quotes here drops by Aaron. That was fucking.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Fast one two six months.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Who does Dorothy say could tell that Stan's hair wasn't real?
- 19:05Speaker 2: Aaron, Stevie, wonder you guys are on it today?
- 19:11Speaker 1: I told you they have this like very quietly festering
- 19:16Speaker 1: grudge a match going on with you. They're so they're
- 19:20Speaker 1: both so competitive. This is like when Wesley was here.
- 19:23Speaker 4: I I'm competitive, but I try not to be, but
- 19:27Speaker 4: I can't hold it back, Like I try really hard
- 19:30Speaker 4: not to be this like aggressively competitive person. And at
- 19:33Speaker 4: the end at the end, I'm like, whoever wins wins,
- 19:36Speaker 4: it's fine. But when I'm in the middle of the competition,
- 19:39Speaker 4: I just I can't help it.
- 19:41Speaker 1: It's okay, You're okay. It makes you who you are
- 19:45Speaker 1: and we love you. Question four, What is Sophia's recurring dream?
- 19:54Speaker 2: Aaron?
- 19:55Speaker 3: Yes, John Cameron Swayze straps of time X to her
- 19:59Speaker 3: chin and tosses across an icy pond.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Yes.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay. Now this next question is a no stump bonus.
- 20:07Speaker 1: It's just a bonus point. I can't stump you with it, Okay,
- 20:11Speaker 1: But for one additional bonus point. Who was John Cameron
- 20:16Speaker 1: Swayze have no idea?
- 20:21Speaker 3: Okay, Aaron, Yes, I'm gonna guess he was like a
- 20:25Speaker 3: commercial pitch man.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I mean, you're not wrong that was one of his jobs.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Yes, it's because I just assume like he's the TIMEX
- 20:35Speaker 3: guy in the eighties, Like that's my it's a guest.
- 20:39Speaker 3: It's a wild guess.
- 20:40Speaker 2: What the fuck are you guys so good at this?
- 20:42Speaker 1: I don't understand. Give him the point. I don't know
- 20:46Speaker 1: he was a he was a TV and islating us. Yeah, like,
- 20:50Speaker 1: did you guys research so very weird? Did you know that.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Were you fucking around or did you pull that out
- 20:57Speaker 2: of your butt?
- 20:58Speaker 8: I'm guessing I'm missing it's it's basically she's got a
- 21:02Speaker 8: TIMEX wrap to her, I'm guessing, and Time is actually
- 21:05Speaker 8: wrapped to something else and he does it in like
- 21:07Speaker 8: a commercial from the eighties.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I don't remember it.
- 21:10Speaker 4: Context clues maybe to show it doesn't break or something.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's what I'm assuming herself.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Have to look that up now, So Field take a licking.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Had a girl.
- 21:27Speaker 1: I'm just gonna move on. Okay, I'm in.
- 21:32Speaker 2: That's my girl.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Next question, I will need the entire answer. This is
- 21:37Speaker 1: none of this like half assery. I want the whole list.
- 21:42Speaker 1: What is Sophia's order for Wilfies?
- 21:47Speaker 2: Oh fucking a.
- 21:49Speaker 4: Locks?
- 21:51Speaker 1: Not how much?
- 21:53Speaker 4: Half a dozen locks?
- 21:56Speaker 1: Uh?
- 21:56Speaker 4: Sort a dozen assorted bagels, half a sour pickles and
- 22:01Speaker 4: a prune danish and a container of cream cheese.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna let you have it, but it's the actual list.
- 22:09Speaker 2: She's so close right, half a pound.
- 22:12Speaker 1: It was a half a pound of locks, a dozen
- 22:15Speaker 1: bagels assorted with no poppy seed to prune danish, six
- 22:21Speaker 1: sour pickles, and a container of cream cheese. It was
- 22:25Speaker 1: quite the list, and she said it twice. Otherwise I
- 22:27Speaker 1: wouldn't have been a stabler about it. Well, we'll give
- 22:30Speaker 1: you the point off. Yeah, that's fine, Get in the car.
- 22:36Speaker 2: I want to know if you went and got.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Those okay, I where your ears clogged? Let me say
- 22:41Speaker 1: it again as when I was like, Okay, this is
- 22:44Speaker 1: the question now. First I was like, that's too much
- 22:46Speaker 1: for them to write down quickly. But then when she
- 22:48Speaker 1: reiterated the list, I was like.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Sold, I should have known that all right?
- 22:55Speaker 1: According to Stan, what was Stan's first finger quotes? Again?
- 22:58Speaker 1: Here mistake.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Aaron? Yes, Oh, when he had an affair with the
- 23:06Speaker 3: waitress of the Greek diner.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Yes.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Also that there. This wasn't required to get this question right,
- 23:14Speaker 1: but he wasn't. At the Chain Link Fence Retailers convention,
- 23:20Speaker 1: there wasn't one. Yeah, But I'd like.
- 23:22Speaker 4: To say just just a quick comment. I know we
- 23:27Speaker 4: have Aaron Randolph as our guests and we call him
- 23:30Speaker 4: our Stan, but he is nothing like Stan on the show,
- 23:33Speaker 4: who is a sleazy dirt bag.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I don't think different if he had a wife.
- 23:42Speaker 3: This this episode made me very upset because I'm like, God,
- 23:46Speaker 3: damn Stan.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Like Stan can be very likable, not just.
- 23:53Speaker 1: You became harder Stan because you said the funniest version
- 23:57Speaker 1: of Hey it's me Stan of anyone that has been
- 23:59Speaker 1: on the show, not because you're a jerk head.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Reoccurring guy in our list.
- 24:04Speaker 4: I just wanted to make that very.
- 24:06Speaker 2: I don't think the view that way.
- 24:08Speaker 3: That's very kind.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Now, if you get a two pay and if you
- 24:13Speaker 1: start fucking waitresses, do you have.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Uh no, I only okay, just kidding.
- 24:28Speaker 1: He's exactly like that audience. It's silly in total. How
- 24:35Speaker 1: many additional fairs so other than Chrissy ultimately who became
- 24:39Speaker 1: his wife? How many additional affairs just stand disclosed to
- 24:43Speaker 1: Dorothy christ I'll let you go, but that was close, ma'am.
- 24:49Speaker 1: You talked on my words. I'm just kidding it.
- 24:52Speaker 4: You had a pause before you said Dorothy for me.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Yes, that's called a pregnant pause, and I apologize. Continue, Oh,
- 24:58Speaker 1: Aaron's pregnant three? Yes it is three. No, Aeron's not pregnant,
- 25:03Speaker 1: as we know from the four fucking pregnancy tests I
- 25:06Speaker 1: had to have at the hospital over.
- 25:08Speaker 2: The lord all negative.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I am super not pregnant guy, marriage, super not pregnant.
- 25:17Speaker 2: No, Dutch babies, No Dutch.
- 25:20Speaker 1: All right, this next question is going to get me
- 25:23Speaker 1: a lot of ship. But I just want to say
- 25:25Speaker 1: before I ask it. It was fucking written across the screen.
- 25:28Speaker 1: So if you don't get it right and I get
- 25:30Speaker 1: a stump point, you'd suck my dick.
- 25:32Speaker 2: We go, Okay, I.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Don't have a dick, guys, I'm a lady.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Yes.
- 25:36Speaker 1: What was the name of the hospital?
- 25:38Speaker 2: The fuck you? I don't know.
- 25:43Speaker 1: It was on screen for a total of two to
- 25:45Speaker 1: three seconds. It was about two and a half seconds.
- 25:48Speaker 1: There was a literal sign.
- 25:49Speaker 2: That Miami General Hospital.
- 25:52Speaker 1: It was Biscayne General Hospital.
- 25:55Speaker 4: Oh, you guys are such sticks.
- 26:01Speaker 1: It was literally.
- 26:05Speaker 4: Corner of the table.
- 26:08Speaker 2: What were the antelopes doing on the painting? No they weren't.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Fine, moving on. You guys are such assholes.
- 26:20Speaker 4: Love you.
- 26:22Speaker 1: When was the first time anybody called Blanche a widow?
- 26:26Speaker 1: As she says it.
- 26:28Speaker 4: Kristen when she was at the Boots and Saddle girl.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Who is she with? Please?
- 26:35Speaker 4: Oh? She was her friend.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Fine, I'll give you the point, guys came up she
- 26:40Speaker 1: had Fine, It's fine. I just didn't. I just wanted you.
- 26:44Speaker 1: It's fine.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Just you didn't have the one specific.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Boots and Saddle Girl with her best friend, Rebecca Sue Bliss,
- 26:50Speaker 1: all right, Rebecca before George was dead.
- 26:54Speaker 2: And she names her daughter Rebecca. That's interesting, Beck, all right.
- 27:02Speaker 1: We'll just move on.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Yeah, let's do that.
- 27:05Speaker 1: The quiz players have gotten testy. I'm fine, weird, that
- 27:12Speaker 1: seems fine.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Yeah, how dare you?
- 27:16Speaker 1: Dorothy wasted time on jazzer size, but Blanche keeps her
- 27:20Speaker 1: butt firm by doing what it was aaron flirting?
- 27:26Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 27:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just curious. I've all of the contempt for
- 27:32Speaker 1: the quiz master has made me lose track of who's
- 27:34Speaker 1: in the lead, who's winning?
- 27:38Speaker 4: Led? Right now? With five?
- 27:42Speaker 2: I don't know nothings. Let me have one, all right?
- 27:46Speaker 1: What is Blanche's reply when Stan says he senses some hostility?
- 27:53Speaker 2: Gina, Yes, good, I hate you?
- 27:56Speaker 1: Yep?
- 27:58Speaker 2: Were you really letting me have that one? Was that
- 28:00Speaker 2: a coincidence?
- 28:01Speaker 1: I don't know if they didn't know that or what,
- 28:03Speaker 1: but yeah, that's right. What does Rose say the women
- 28:07Speaker 1: of Saint Olaf would do to a man that was
- 28:10Speaker 1: bad company, no fun under the yax skin and some
- 28:14Speaker 1: other ship. Yes, I don't know. I just said yes
- 28:19Speaker 1: because I figured one of you would just stop talking.
- 28:22Speaker 1: You both said it at the exact same time.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Let's you're in the now, you're all right, let's.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Give it to Aaron.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Then they would leave him out in the snow to die.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Yep, no fun under the yak skin.
- 28:38Speaker 4: No fun the skin.
- 28:40Speaker 3: It was a throwaway line too. It didn't get any laughs.
- 28:44Speaker 3: I was so upset about does.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Contribute to society? If he's a good fuck, they'll keep him.
- 28:51Speaker 2: That's the last straw. Not yet, he's okay.
- 28:58Speaker 3: He made me come.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Yeah, he made me put him in the snow. Good
- 29:08Speaker 2: snooz Shnow you live?
- 29:12Speaker 3: Oh god?
- 29:13Speaker 1: All right? How do the girls ultimately find out Stan
- 29:16Speaker 1: is faking his relapse?
- 29:18Speaker 2: Christ rant m Kristin.
- 29:21Speaker 1: I go ahead, but I don't.
- 29:27Speaker 4: Know what you would call it. But he's going around
- 29:29Speaker 4: the room doing the basketball.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Thing, and sure I'll take it.
- 29:33Speaker 4: Faking playing basketball?
- 29:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I said he was. I said he was a
- 29:37Speaker 1: pantomime playing basketball.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Didn't he like throw a towel or something?
- 29:42Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 29:42Speaker 1: I wasn't sure. It looked like pantyhose. But then I
- 29:45Speaker 1: was like, but that looks like six par pantyhose, so
- 29:47Speaker 1: it can't be that. So I wasn't sure. But it
- 29:49Speaker 1: was soft and lightweight because it bounds.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Remember when you're sick, you have to worry panties. Yeah,
- 29:56Speaker 2: we established that.
- 29:58Speaker 1: What name does Dorothy call him when she catches him
- 30:02Speaker 1: playing basketball?
- 30:03Speaker 3: Aaron?
- 30:04Speaker 1: Yes?
- 30:05Speaker 3: Magic?
- 30:07Speaker 1: And for a no stump bonus point. Do you know
- 30:10Speaker 1: what that refers to?
- 30:12Speaker 3: Aaron? Yes, boy, Eric, I think that was Aaron Magic Johnson. Yeah, yeah,
- 30:17Speaker 3: all right, the basketball player.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Okay, all right, you know that Magic Johnson and I
- 30:24Speaker 1: have the same birth day, but not year. Obviously I'm
- 30:27Speaker 1: not in my leg sixties or whatever. Really, yeah, he's.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Your birthday, buddy.
- 30:33Speaker 4: I thought you were young or older.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Wow.
- 30:38Speaker 3: Wow.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Kristen only got angry after Aaron took the lead just
- 30:44Speaker 1: now in the clizz.
- 30:47Speaker 2: But I'm acting out, yes, lashing out of it.
- 30:51Speaker 1: And I'm sorry Aaron because this is the last question.
- 30:55Speaker 4: Doesn't matter. He's one.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Oh she's busy. Well let's see who knows.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Look at big man.
- 31:01Speaker 1: I'm trying this again. This is this is something I
- 31:04Speaker 1: carried over from last week. But I'm not gonna do
- 31:06Speaker 1: it every week, so I'll start just writing down this thing.
- 31:10Speaker 1: But who has the last line? And what is it?
- 31:15Speaker 4: Kristen?
- 31:16Speaker 2: For Aaron can't know his feed cut off.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Yes, yes, Kristen, Dorothy.
- 31:21Speaker 4: And did she say good night Peter Pan or I
- 31:24Speaker 4: miss something about Peter.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Well, we'll give you the point. It's Dorothy says, happy birthday,
- 31:30Speaker 1: Peter Man, growing up and becoming an way that's.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Right, all right, Well, listeners, Poor Aaron had trouble with
- 31:41Speaker 2: his Hulu, so he didn't get to see the very
- 31:43Speaker 2: very end.
- 31:44Speaker 4: But he still won.
- 31:47Speaker 2: He's still stomped your ass.
- 31:49Speaker 3: That's right by one point, only because of Magic Johnson.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Yeah, thanks Magic.
- 31:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I have to if you ever meet.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Him in person, you have His name is a synonym
- 32:01Speaker 3: for a great penis, so it is.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I never thought about that, which is weird because in
- 32:08Speaker 1: the nineteen eighties he must have told people that, and
- 32:11Speaker 1: that's why he slept around so much and got no. Okay,
- 32:13Speaker 1: that's sorry, Magic Johnson.
- 32:16Speaker 2: I was wondering if that would come up.
- 32:18Speaker 1: I will, because we were still shaming people about AIDS
- 32:21Speaker 1: back then and realizing that everyone assumed that it was
- 32:27Speaker 1: if you had aged, you were dirty.
- 32:29Speaker 3: And so his credit I think, yeah, I think he
- 32:31Speaker 3: really destigmatized AIDS for a lot of helped.
- 32:34Speaker 1: He really helped. And also he's been able to stay
- 32:38Speaker 1: alive for such a very long time, and you know.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Which shows if you have money, Yeah, if you have money,
- 32:44Speaker 2: you can live afford it.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I is the victim, or is?
- 32:52Speaker 3: But I do I do give him credit because yes,
- 32:56Speaker 3: we treated a lot of people with AIDS like the
- 32:59Speaker 3: other and he kind of his coming forward about all
- 33:03Speaker 3: that really made it less uncomfortable.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Well, a lot of people thought it was only like
- 33:10Speaker 2: gay people got it, and it's like, no, he's a
- 33:13Speaker 2: straight man who got it on.
- 33:15Speaker 1: You know he did he did for AIDS what O. J.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Simpson did for celebrities getting away with murder. Just kidding.
- 33:22Speaker 2: He walked so Casey Anthony could run Jesus So Casey
- 33:30Speaker 2: Anthony is stabbed, would that be a better one? No,
- 33:36Speaker 2: I'm gonna go over here.
- 33:37Speaker 1: I think you're going to say something about this show.
- 33:40Speaker 4: Oh yeah, No. Some of the jokes they were just fabulous,
- 33:45Speaker 4: especially with the secretary, who's like, well, two of those
- 33:50Speaker 4: were wrong. You know, she did no shorthand and I
- 33:52Speaker 4: had an affair with her Dorothy's but the shorthand your
- 34:02Speaker 4: head could do shorthand.
- 34:03Speaker 9: Reminds me, did anyone here watch Yellowjackets In the first
- 34:08Speaker 9: season she admits that she was not going to a
- 34:11Speaker 9: book club to her husband that she was having an affair,
- 34:13Speaker 9: and he response.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Was there wasn't a book club. He was so upset
- 34:20Speaker 2: about that.
- 34:23Speaker 1: I I I like this episode because they squeeze three
- 34:31Speaker 1: and a half like months in two.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it was the twenty six minutes or whatever. Well
- 34:37Speaker 2: they cut and it's like two months later.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Yeah, but no, it's it's fun. But yeah, this is
- 34:42Speaker 1: the worst Stand episode. I think of all the Stand
- 34:44Speaker 1: episode which just shows.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Up and goes, I'm having surgery. I need to go
- 34:47Speaker 2: over paperwork for the Stand.
- 34:49Speaker 4: I mean, I know, I guess people just showed up
- 34:52Speaker 4: at people's houses, but now like nobody does that.
- 34:55Speaker 2: That's so like, well, she should have known a surgery
- 34:58Speaker 2: was maybe on the table.
- 35:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:02Speaker 2: I I used to go over to the kids or
- 35:05Speaker 2: the father for kids.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I would go over to my friend's houses in the
- 35:08Speaker 1: eighties and I would like knock on the door and
- 35:10Speaker 1: be like, what's up. Let's like chill, and I would
- 35:12Speaker 1: stay all day but not get meals. But it wasn't
- 35:16Speaker 1: like three months in a surgery. It was like maybe
- 35:19Speaker 1: one or two meals. They're very different.
- 35:24Speaker 4: So I mean, now somebody knocks on our door, we
- 35:26Speaker 4: pull up the ring app to see who's at the door.
- 35:30Speaker 3: What do you want to answering the door?
- 35:32Speaker 2: I'm just the listeners.
- 35:33Speaker 1: I am not friends with, but I am on a name,
- 35:38Speaker 1: first name and conversational basis with two of the four
- 35:41Speaker 1: other people that live in my building that I live in.
- 35:44Speaker 1: And it's so much work. Sometimes I'm just out there
- 35:47Speaker 1: and like my pajama's trying to get Abby to pea
- 35:49Speaker 1: really quickly, and they're like, oh.
- 35:51Speaker 3: My god, good morning.
- 35:52Speaker 1: How And I'm like, Hi, I'm in my like booty
- 35:56Speaker 1: shorts because Abby couldn't hold her pee, Like I'm not
- 35:59Speaker 1: here talk. Do you want to do trivia or you
- 36:03Speaker 1: want me to barrel through this villain?
- 36:05Speaker 2: I could do trivia. But also I'd love to again
- 36:08Speaker 2: point out the twins were named Rob and Bob, which
- 36:12Speaker 2: means they're both named.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Robert, unless like they were terrible parents who named like
- 36:17Speaker 1: the Bob like Bobert. Like maybe it was like Robert.
- 36:20Speaker 4: And some people do name they could just Bob.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Yeah. I guess you know what you.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Call a man? Or do you know what you call
- 36:31Speaker 1: a man with no arms and no legs? Swimming in
- 36:33Speaker 1: the ocean is.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Name you fucking bitch?
- 36:39Speaker 4: What do you call a woman with one leg shorter
- 36:41Speaker 4: than the other? Eileen?
- 36:45Speaker 1: Okay? And the last one of these before the trivia is, oh,
- 36:48Speaker 1: unless Aaron has one. My last one of these is
- 36:51Speaker 1: why did the monkey fall out of the tree?
- 36:54Speaker 2: Why it was dead? That's a good reason.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Mine was.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Uh.
- 37:00Speaker 3: What do you call a man with no head, no arms,
- 37:03Speaker 3: no legs sitting on the front outside the front door
- 37:06Speaker 3: of a house.
- 37:08Speaker 2: Matt, Matt, No ahead, I call him fucking Morgue because
- 37:13Speaker 2: he did.
- 37:16Speaker 4: Oh. I heard a really good one at the blood
- 37:17Speaker 4: center the other day. All right, always tells jokes. What
- 37:24Speaker 4: do you call a woman who gets her bills in
- 37:26Speaker 4: the mail and then lights them on fire?
- 37:29Speaker 1: What?
- 37:29Speaker 4: Bernadette?
- 37:33Speaker 2: Okay, I'm done, I quit.
- 37:37Speaker 3: That's pretty good. I hadn't heard that one before.
- 37:41Speaker 1: That's fantastic, Gina, dazzle me with your trivia.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Well we see again, Herb Edelman as our boys stand.
- 37:49Speaker 2: That's why we have Aaron here, her Herb or Herb.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Steve Kramer plays the doctor Steven Deutsch. He's a lot
- 38:00Speaker 2: of voiceover work, like for animes like Bleach, which I've
- 38:03Speaker 2: never seen.
- 38:05Speaker 3: Maybe it's me but I feel he was phoning it
- 38:06Speaker 3: in this episode, just kind of set his lines like
- 38:11Speaker 3: he was looking to get through them.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Yeah. I got Mario Machado as the voice of the
- 38:17Speaker 2: sportscaster and he was in RoboCop movies. Little tidbit there.
- 38:23Speaker 2: The twins were played by Rob Sabby and odeal Odil
- 38:30Speaker 2: Odell Saby. They have no other credits, so I don't
- 38:35Speaker 2: know if somebody just knew.
- 38:36Speaker 3: Them, they're like, do we know any twins?
- 38:38Speaker 8: I noticed when Rob well, we can't call him that,
- 38:42Speaker 8: let's call him Robin Bob.
- 38:44Speaker 4: Yeah, and they didn't talk much.
- 38:46Speaker 1: That's the thing.
- 38:47Speaker 2: No.
- 38:47Speaker 1: I know from my time as like an extra on
- 38:52Speaker 1: when I used to do like extra work on SAT
- 38:54Speaker 1: and stuff, that depending on the amount of lines was
- 38:57Speaker 1: the amount you got paid. And if you smoke at
- 38:59Speaker 1: all as extra, you automatically got this like little bump.
- 39:02Speaker 1: But if you spoke a certain amount, you got bumped
- 39:05Speaker 1: to like a day player, like the person, like a
- 39:09Speaker 1: different rate that was considered like a character. And so
- 39:12Speaker 1: I feel like they only said enough words to stay
- 39:15Speaker 1: at that cheaper rate.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Probab babe, but who knows the title The Stan who
- 39:21Speaker 2: came to dinner The titles a paraphrase of a movie
- 39:23Speaker 2: and a play The Man who Came to Dinner Read
- 39:29Speaker 2: what I wrote Dinner Sorry in nineteen forty two with
- 39:33Speaker 2: Betty Davis.
- 39:35Speaker 3: But dare you ruin Gina's joke?
- 39:38Speaker 2: That was a joke. I just couldn't read what I wrote.
- 39:43Speaker 2: And I mentioned in the episode Grandma Moses was an
- 39:47Speaker 2: American folk artist. Yep. And that's all I him to say.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Thank you, Gina, No, thank you Kristin, Oh, thank you Gina, No,
- 40:00Speaker 2: thank you Erin.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Thank you all for being a friend. I was working
- 40:07Speaker 1: on the quiz yesterday that's on brand for me, and
- 40:11Speaker 1: I called Gina and I was like, wait, did you
- 40:14Speaker 1: write trip No, actually I texted her first and I
- 40:16Speaker 1: said did you write trivia?
- 40:17Speaker 2: About that?
- 40:18Speaker 1: And then there was another thing that made me call
- 40:20Speaker 1: her and then but yeah.
- 40:22Speaker 2: I got confused. I was like, are we on that episode?
- 40:25Speaker 2: Immediately the phone rings, yeah, I was like, oh no,
- 40:29Speaker 2: I missed.
- 40:32Speaker 1: But yeah, so the TIMEX guy. So that guy was
- 40:34Speaker 1: like a TV anchor on like the news and stuff again.
- 40:39Speaker 1: John Cameron Swayze was He was a distant cousin. He
- 40:44Speaker 1: was like the sixth cousin. Patrick Swayzey. You both were
- 40:51Speaker 1: really like dead on with the TIMEX thing because they
- 40:54Speaker 1: would like strap it to like something and then hold
- 40:59Speaker 1: it next to like the propeller of a like a
- 41:01Speaker 1: jet engine, and then it wouldn't break. And so the
- 41:05Speaker 1: point of the TIMEX campaigns back then was yeah, like
- 41:08Speaker 1: they could fucking get beat up and they would still work.
- 41:11Speaker 1: And they were self some of them were self wine. Anyway, Yeah,
- 41:14Speaker 1: I did a deep dive on that accidentally, and then
- 41:17Speaker 1: I was like, did you do this? I don't want
- 41:19Speaker 1: to steal your trivia.
- 41:21Speaker 2: No, I did not, So I'm glad you grabbed this.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Story and I'm sticking to it.
- 41:26Speaker 2: I don't let's I don't grab everything.
- 41:28Speaker 1: I guess let's get No. You do an amazing job.
- 41:31Speaker 1: That's why I was like, Gina probably has this not
- 41:34Speaker 1: Hey write this down, asshole. Hey do it all right,
- 41:38Speaker 1: here's the villain deal. Are you ready? You guys at Rose?
- 41:41Speaker 1: Now you did make it a little harder. Secretly, I
- 41:44Speaker 1: was hoping that you would pick Blanche or that we
- 41:47Speaker 1: could just keep staying because I obviously knew he was gross.
- 41:50Speaker 1: But here's what I have for you. First of all,
- 41:53Speaker 1: I just want to point out Rose not only won't
- 41:58Speaker 1: open the door so that Sophia can sit down and
- 42:00Speaker 1: eat her snack. Who she says, she's only sat down
- 42:03Speaker 1: three or four times the entire day, and it's nighttime.
- 42:06Speaker 1: They're on their way to see a play let. The
- 42:08Speaker 1: old lady sit down for fuck's sake. She's like, but
- 42:11Speaker 1: I can't wipe my hands. Yeah, that's thing one. Then
- 42:15Speaker 1: when they're like, hey, can you go out with rober
- 42:18Speaker 1: Bob instead, and she's like, no, I because I have
- 42:22Speaker 1: to drive the bookmobile because I didn't do it today. Well,
- 42:25Speaker 1: fuck you. Those depressed people have been waiting for books
- 42:28Speaker 1: all day and you're still not Like you're just in
- 42:31Speaker 1: the kitchen baking and your hands are covered in goob
- 42:35Speaker 1: And these people what if they killed themselves because they
- 42:38Speaker 1: couldn't read the book you were supposed to drop off?
- 42:40Speaker 1: That's fucked second third thing. Sorry, then.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Reach for this, Yeah we did.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but I got it. Don't worry. I like bringing around.
- 42:51Speaker 4: She's got to do some work.
- 42:52Speaker 1: She goes in to see stand the night before surgery
- 42:56Speaker 1: and is like, hey, are you excited for tomorrow? Who
- 42:58Speaker 1: says that to somebody else?
- 43:00Speaker 3: Excite?
- 43:02Speaker 1: In the eighties, which was much more dangerous, like every
- 43:07Speaker 1: time now is not really three months? They had to
- 43:09Speaker 1: like rip his ribcage. Yeah, so that's fucked. Then, when
- 43:17Speaker 1: she trips over a word, she says she wanted to
- 43:20Speaker 1: come in and say goodbye in case she won't see
- 43:23Speaker 1: him again, and Blanche has to nudge her to realize
- 43:27Speaker 1: it sounds like she's saying he's gonna die. Then she
- 43:30Speaker 1: continues to trip around her words and basically says like, well,
- 43:34Speaker 1: we don't think you're gonna die. After that, she leaves
- 43:40Speaker 1: a dick plate in the kitchen, the dick plate that
- 43:44Speaker 1: was poor Stan eats a sandwich off of a plate
- 43:49Speaker 1: meant to hold the junk of a newly weeded man
- 43:53Speaker 1: before fucking.
- 43:54Speaker 4: But the party guests eat all the fruit off of
- 43:57Speaker 4: it too, So if that plate keeps getting reused, all
- 44:00Speaker 4: it's had is fruit and junk.
- 44:03Speaker 1: For junk and tuna.
- 44:04Speaker 2: I imagine it.
- 44:07Speaker 1: It's still weird to leave the ceremonial dick plate in
- 44:11Speaker 1: the kitchen where an unsuspecting person.
- 44:15Speaker 2: Then ceremonial dick plate.
- 44:19Speaker 1: That's a baby lamb to watch its mother deflate. What
- 44:24Speaker 1: a idea, you know, it's a playful little lamb. It's
- 44:27Speaker 1: obviously gonna chew on it.
- 44:29Speaker 3: And then.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Yeah, but she watched it deflate in front of the lamb.
- 44:35Speaker 1: She watched her baby lamb think it killed its mom
- 44:38Speaker 1: and did not intervene. That's fucked up. Next thing, she's
- 44:43Speaker 1: one of the first two of four people to want
- 44:45Speaker 1: stand out of the house because of the dick plate
- 44:48Speaker 1: that she left in the wrong place. Then when she's
- 44:52Speaker 1: telling off Stan about how he's eating them out of
- 44:54Speaker 1: house and home and how dare he be sick, she
- 44:58Speaker 1: threatens to leave him out in the know to die. Basically,
- 45:02Speaker 1: I mean that story is a threat. That's rude. And
- 45:06Speaker 1: here's the last thing I just want to say. She
- 45:09Speaker 1: wore another Teddy Bear sweater. Let's change that is your
- 45:14Speaker 1: fashion crime Teddy.
- 45:16Speaker 4: Bear with the.
- 45:19Speaker 1: I thought it was cute.
- 45:20Speaker 2: I think I need to admit some stupidity here, because
- 45:23Speaker 2: when they were talking about the plate, she goes like
- 45:27Speaker 2: he presents himself to his wife. I thought I thought
- 45:31Speaker 2: they were saying, like, you just like the man. The
- 45:33Speaker 2: whole man gets on the plate, and I'm like, does
- 45:35Speaker 2: he just stand on a plate like? It was like, oh,
- 45:39Speaker 2: he puts.
- 45:40Speaker 3: Them That's what I thought at first, just lies down.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Lies down when you got to the green that you
- 45:50Speaker 1: figured out that. No, I didn't get it.
- 45:52Speaker 2: When you explained it, I was like gravy. So my
- 46:00Speaker 2: brain just was like, the whole man's going to be
- 46:02Speaker 2: on a plate.
- 46:04Speaker 1: I think that's fine to be fair. When I back
- 46:07Speaker 1: in the day at Not Scary Farm, I used to
- 46:09Speaker 1: make people when they asked me for directions stand in
- 46:12Speaker 1: the park map. I would lay their park map on
- 46:14Speaker 1: the floor. As the monster whatever monstro I was, I
- 46:17Speaker 1: would lay it out and I'd be like, in whatever
- 46:20Speaker 1: character voice, say something like, it's best if you can
- 46:23Speaker 1: find it by immersing yourself, so just stand where you
- 46:27Speaker 1: are on the map, and then that's the direction you
- 46:30Speaker 1: should walk. And then I would walk away and I
- 46:31Speaker 1: would leave people standing on their park map. It made
- 46:35Speaker 1: me happy, a little different than a dick plate, but
- 46:39Speaker 1: like still actively standing on something very small.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Well, that was a great episode. Yeah, Stands a cheater.
- 46:48Speaker 3: There's one thing I just wanted to bring up when
- 46:52Speaker 3: when they when they cut to the hospital after stand
- 46:55Speaker 3: admits everything and Dorothy admits that she's upset and blancheco's why,
- 47:00Speaker 3: And I wanted Dorothy so badly to say there's a
- 47:04Speaker 3: chance he could survive just confessed to multiple infidelities.
- 47:12Speaker 1: You mean the two and a half second cut to
- 47:15Speaker 1: the hospital where it says Biscayne General Hospital.
- 47:17Speaker 3: On there there were no words there, you're hallucinating, So
- 47:21Speaker 3: and so forgive.
- 47:22Speaker 2: Me went so easily.
- 47:26Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, so easily forgive him for I want
- 47:29Speaker 3: to give you.
- 47:29Speaker 2: A clear conscience? Fuck you.
- 47:31Speaker 1: I think she forgives him so that.
- 47:33Speaker 3: I think she should have hit him a lot harder
- 47:35Speaker 3: with that bag the surgery happened, Like, forget a clear conscience?
- 47:40Speaker 3: How about bruised balls? Honestly, what he should?
- 47:43Speaker 2: That's not fair to just pressure someone into forgiveness because
- 47:46Speaker 2: you're like, oh, I need a clear conscience for certain
- 47:48Speaker 2: that's such garbage, sabotaging, that's fucked up.
- 47:52Speaker 3: You want to you want to clear conscience, clear between
- 47:54Speaker 3: yourself and God, lead me out of it.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Yeah. I still think I don't think she's forgiving him
- 47:59Speaker 1: in like the greater sense of it doesn't bother her
- 48:02Speaker 1: so much as just like fine, whatever, you might die tomorrow.
- 48:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I think it's that.
- 48:07Speaker 1: I don't think it's like, yes, we're cool, stand let's
- 48:09Speaker 1: hang out with all tomorrow.
- 48:10Speaker 2: Like not cool?
- 48:12Speaker 1: You want to play mall madness. Later, Mom bought some cheetos.
- 48:16Speaker 4: Well, no, but he's gonna live there for the next
- 48:18Speaker 4: two three months.
- 48:20Speaker 2: She's got to look at his ass for three months, madness.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Holy sh you're welcome at that moment. She doesn't know
- 48:29Speaker 1: that it's going to be three months. It's not till
- 48:31Speaker 1: he the surgeon tells them that's true. Yeah, yeah, she weeps.
- 48:39Speaker 3: He's gonna survive and we have to live in him
- 48:41Speaker 3: for three months.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Sophia is very weird about the loyalty things. She's like that,
- 48:47Speaker 2: you guys, fucking jackass. No, he's family.
- 48:49Speaker 4: We have to do your faulty's family. But he's family. Yeah,
- 48:54Speaker 4: that's all you guys think.
- 48:56Speaker 3: I think I think she secretly gets a kick out
- 48:58Speaker 3: of watching Dorothy suffering.
- 49:00Speaker 2: I think you're right. Oh yeah, she likes a mussler.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Mm hmm. That's all I have for us today. Does
- 49:07Speaker 1: anyone have anything that they'd like to pitch talk about? Sell,
- 49:11Speaker 1: where dance whatever?
- 49:14Speaker 2: Can you tell us about your podcast? An interpretive Dancer?
- 49:18Speaker 1: Which one boy?
- 49:21Speaker 3: Mama, Ma, sorry, okay, so that's delightful.

- 49:54Speaker 2: You may not think it's a sequel, but then bam.
- 49:57Speaker 3: Yeah, it's kind of a stell sequel. You'd only really
- 50:00Speaker 3: catch it if you looked at the back of the
- 50:01Speaker 3: book and saw book two of the theme series, or when.
- 50:06Speaker 1: You're reading it if you've read Fane, I mean you're like, oh,
- 50:10Speaker 1: because there came that moment where I was like, are
- 50:13Speaker 1: you fucking goodding me?
- 50:14Speaker 3: What did he do? Yeah? Yeah, I got it. I
- 50:19Speaker 3: got a lot of those reactions for people who read Rakeup.
- 50:21Speaker 2: But but well, knowing knowing what you know from the
- 50:25Speaker 2: first book, you're not You're like, they're gonna be okay,
- 50:27Speaker 2: and right.
- 50:30Speaker 1: Well the first what's interesting is the you you've you've
- 50:34Speaker 1: changed it from the first time I read it. So
- 50:37Speaker 1: that revelation for me, you're like one of your early
- 50:41Speaker 1: drafts that really for.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Me came later something else happened.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Well, I've read all the drafts now, but earlier on
- 50:48Speaker 1: I was like, oh, yeah it, I'm so mad at him.
- 50:54Speaker 1: Read the book, guys, it's so much.
- 50:56Speaker 2: If you want someone to not give you so much rage,
- 50:58Speaker 2: Aaron I can read them. We're like, oh, that was cool.
- 51:03Speaker 3: If you want to range at me, it's fine, as
- 51:05Speaker 3: long as if you had an emotional reaction on my
- 51:08Speaker 3: book that I consider I had a win. If your
- 51:10Speaker 3: emotional reaction is God, this guy's a ship writer. That
- 51:12Speaker 3: kind of stun you know you're.
- 51:15Speaker 2: Lucky is mad about these.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Get over this so mad about the cookie.
- 51:21Speaker 2: He was so mad.
- 51:23Speaker 4: It's not about the cookies.
- 51:25Speaker 2: I know it's not about the but he got fucking hot.
- 51:28Speaker 1: He was mad about the cookies in a way that
- 51:32Speaker 1: it made me think it was like World War two
- 51:34Speaker 1: rationing and they couldn't get sugar. Ever.
- 51:36Speaker 2: Again, I get it, it was about the lying, but yeah,
- 51:41Speaker 2: damn so mad.
- 51:43Speaker 4: But read Pain and Wake Over.
- 51:45Speaker 1: They're amazing. I mean, unless you don't like good books,
- 51:48Speaker 1: and then I guess don't read them. But if you
- 51:51Speaker 1: like good books, read this.
- 51:54Speaker 2: Yeah, read it.
- 51:54Speaker 4: It's fun.
