  Well, that's the kind of things that were going through my mind in my first

  official two weeks of ministry school. But you know what?

  Despite all the negative things that were running through my mind,

  there was a lot of positive things that were going and flowing through my veins

  and my blood and my heart.

  And today, I'm going to share with you what those were.

  I hope that the song is sweet child of mine. You know, that would be, that would be amazing.

  It's definitely not the old one, and it's not the original person that we had

  years ago when you said, I hate it, change it, go back to the original.

  I promise you. How are you, my friend? How's my favorite seminary student?

  It's good. Listen, you know, and that's really what we're getting off to.

  You know, we've had really good episodes at the Citizens Reunited to Overcome Cancer.

  You know, getting onto the introduction. You got to get to lay on your, on your podcast.

  Well, here we go. I'll send this to her when I send the other prerecorded messages that we did.

  I want to talk to you, Dr. E, because I'm sure that you've dealt with this before.

  I know you have, you've shared me stories before, you know, it's that when you

  have that feeling that you cannot accomplish something kind of like the choo-choo
• 2:51
  train, you know, I think I can, I think I can, you know, and,
• 2:54
  and that's where I've been.

  You know, a lot of people go back to school at a later age and you struggle.

  And I was struggling for the last couple of weeks. And I'm not going to sit
• 3:04
  here and give excuses to you and say it's because of A, B, and C. No, I struggled.
• 3:08
  And one of the things that I was worried about was letting everybody else down.
• 3:13
  But you know what I failed to do, Dr. E? I forgot to pray.
• 3:16
  And when I started to pray, before I started to study, it really fell into place.
• 3:22
  Have you ever struggled?
• 3:23
  Oh my God, it's so many times. As a matter of fact, I think I've told the story
• 3:27
  to our half-faith family is that I credit you specifically about a resurgence
• 3:35
  of spirituality in my life.
• 3:37
  And I think that before I had met you, and again, there's a reason for everything.
• 3:41
  God puts people in your life for a reason. It was to be the co-host and the,
• 3:45
  actually first the producer of my podcast, the Kroc podcast,
• 3:50
  and eventually my co-host and then my bestie, but really my spiritual godfather.
• 3:55
  I mean, you know, I had a godfather, my uncle, Johnny, I loved him to death.
• 3:59
  He didn't teach me one thing about spirituality, but he was a great uncle.
• 4:03
  You've done more for me to center me, to let God who never left me.
• 4:10
  But allow myself to let him shine more through me.
• 4:15
  And I really credit your podcast and I credit you personally.
• 4:19
  So you going to seminary school was, it was just a, a foregone conclusion.
• 4:26
  God already had that path was in place. You just didn't know it. You just didn't.
• 4:33
  It just, it was, you weren't ready. You weren't ready.
• 4:37
  You had to first deal with your own personal issues.
• 4:41
  Then you found your life mate in Rachel and you guys consummated.
• 4:47
  And I don't mean that in a disrespectful way, but you consummated your best
• 4:53
  friendship into this amazing marriage,
• 4:55
  that love and that friendship in this marriage then bubbled over into these
• 5:02
  two perfect children and you raised them the way you need to raise kids with
• 5:09
  good ethics and love and understanding and loving boundaries.
• 5:15
  And now as they're getting a little older, they're.
• 5:18
  Now your, your professional life is starting to get a little more hazy.
• 5:22
  And then the light from God opened up that burning bush, that angel.
• 5:27
  Now it's time. Now it's time to look at not just angel in two months and six
• 5:34
  months or one year, but angel for the next 30 years.
• 5:38
  What were you meant to do on this earth?
• 5:42
  What were you meant to achieve? what is your destiny?
• 5:48
  And that destiny is to become a pastor.
• 5:52
  So I understand your question to such a deep degree that I hope I was able to express it properly.

  Absolutely. And I think that the message that goes and we'll end this way is
• 6:06
  this, don't allow anyone to say you cannot accomplish anything.
• 6:10
  And while you're doing the things that you want to do.
• 6:13
  Yes, those negative thoughts are going to creep in. And you know what those negative thoughts are?
• 6:18
  They are really just an illusion of something that is the total opposite of what you can achieve.
• 6:24
  So God is with you, just like Dr. E said. And just like I always say,
• 6:28
  he believes in you, he trusts in you, and he's not going to leave your side.
• 6:32
  So when you think you are just at that corner of the room and you're not getting
• 6:36
  the answers you need and you're not getting the thoughts, or maybe you're not
• 6:39
  just finding the answers at that moment. Stop.
• 6:43
  Pray to him and the answers will come in the form and in the wisdom and guidance
• 6:49
  that you need to prepare yourself to be on the path to righteousness.
• 6:55
  And that is today's message. So may God be with you.

  May he shine his light upon you and grant each and every single one of you peace on earth.

  And we pray for all of those in the fires of California, those that are in the
• 7:08
  midst of rebuilding in the Carolinas. and we continue to lift you up in our Heavenly Father.
