- 0:10Speaker 3: For one of those moments, it only happens right here.

- 0:35Speaker 3: Taking in on a Friday, getting ready for your weekend. And,
- 0:38Speaker 3: of course, you can make Ameristar Casino part of that weekend.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Head over and grab you a bed on the kiosk
- 0:43Speaker 3: or the counter. Grab something good to eat. Four great restaurants. Also, bourbons.
- 0:47Speaker 3: You can grab that steak on the roof if you
- 0:49Speaker 3: want to do that. Don't forget about the Gurkha Cigar
- 0:51Speaker 3: Lounge and the Bottleneck Blues Bar. Keith Hardy, astute sportsbook
- 0:54Speaker 3: manager on your radio. Keith, welcome in, sir.
- 0:56Speaker 2: How are you?
- 0:58Speaker 1: My man, Jake Wimberly.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Thanks for having me.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Keith, it's hard to believe we're through one month. We're
- 1:03Speaker 3: into month two, and that's where kind of the rubber
- 1:06Speaker 3: meets the road, especially college football and the NFL, because
- 1:10Speaker 3: we start churning through this. Boy, I tell you what,
- 1:12Speaker 3: how much action, what are you guys seeing on Alabama-Mississippi State?
- 1:16Speaker 2: Oh, man, it's coming in on both sides, Jake.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Just like the book, we're getting tons and tons of action.
- 1:25Speaker 2: On both sides.
- 1:26Speaker 1: A lot of Alabama Moneyline and Mississippi State plus the points.
- 1:33Speaker 2: But, yeah, probably the biggest game of the week in
- 1:37Speaker 2: these parts.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Oh, there's no doubt.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:41Speaker 2: I'm pretty excited. And, Jake, I think we may have
- 1:45Speaker 2: an upset. I smell an upset.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Brewing, Jake.
- 1:49Speaker 3: What we got?
- 1:51Speaker 2: Mississippi State.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Oh, you're talking about in that ballgame.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:54Speaker 3: No, look, I like Mississippi State's chances. I think they're
- 1:56Speaker 3: going to cover the points. I think they could win
- 1:58Speaker 3: it outright. If they can cut back on the penalties,
- 2:02Speaker 3: that's been the one thing with the Dogs is they've
- 2:04Speaker 3: been a highly penalized football team. If they can cut
- 2:11Speaker 3: back on the penalties, Alabama has played slow on the
- 2:14Speaker 3: road under Kalen DeBoer since he's been in Tuscaloosa, so
- 2:18Speaker 3: I think the Dogs have a puncher's chance. The weather
- 2:20Speaker 3: looks like it's moved a little bit. It may not
- 2:22Speaker 3: start raining until later in the afternoon. So I do
- 2:25Speaker 3: like Mississippi State's chances in this game. Who do you
- 2:27Speaker 3: got winning, though?
- 2:29Speaker 2: I got State, Jake.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Those Dogs are barking, baby. Cowbells ringing.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I'm with State. I'd love to see it.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Keith, there's several other games of interest tomorrow. You know,
- 2:44Speaker 3: when you kind of look through here, Ohio State is
- 2:45Speaker 3: taking on Iowa. Game day will be there tomorrow. Ohio
- 2:48Speaker 3: State's given up 14.5. That total's 45.5. This has been
- 2:52Speaker 3: a lopsided rivalry. We know that in the Big Ten.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Ohio State is just about quadrupled them up in wins
- 2:58Speaker 3: in the history of the two teams playing each other.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Can Iowa muddy the thing up, though, and can they
- 3:03Speaker 3: keep it into the fourth quarter?
- 3:05Speaker 2: I like it, Jake.
- 3:06Speaker 1: That's one of my plays for the week. I'm taking
- 3:09Speaker 1: the points, 14.5. If it moves to.
- 3:13Speaker 2: 14, I'll add the hook on there. And I like
- 3:17Speaker 2: the under. in that game as well.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Another dog I like, tomorrow, Jake, I think this is
- 3:24Speaker 1: a nice game, Michigan at Minnesota.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Minnesota coming off a big win, Michigan.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Coming off that tough loss. That's another dog I like, Jake.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I think it's a dog day afternoon tomorrow.
- 3:37Speaker 3: I think it very well could be. And a lot
- 3:39Speaker 3: of people like Row the Boat, Sweater Vest, P.J. Fleck,
- 3:41Speaker 3: our last guest did too. And, you know, Michigan has
- 3:44Speaker 3: just not looked good. Bryce Underwood has not looked good.
- 3:48Speaker 3: And it's just, for whatever reason, they don't have that chemistry.
- 3:51Speaker 3: They don't have the dog in them, so to speak. Yeah,
- 3:52Speaker 3: I like Minnesota in that ballgame as well.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I tell you, Jake, we got a couple of good
- 3:58Speaker 2: games tonight. Pittsburgh goes to Virginia Tech. Tough place to
- 4:04Speaker 2: play Friday night. It's going to be hopping. This is
- 4:08Speaker 2: Pittsburgh's first road game of the season.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I got an unusual play for this game.
- 4:16Speaker 2: I like Virginia. I think Pittsburgh can win the game.
- 4:19Speaker 2: But I like Virginia Tech's first quarter, Jake.
- 4:23Speaker 4: I like that.
- 4:23Speaker 3: I like it. You're taking advantage of, you know, inner Sandman.
- 4:27Speaker 3: That place is going to be crazy. You know, Virginia
- 4:30Speaker 3: Tech coming into this ballgame, they're giving up 16 a
- 4:32Speaker 3: game and averaging 43. They're sitting at 4-0. They've won
- 4:36Speaker 3: a couple road games at Maryland and Boston College. Conversely,
- 4:39Speaker 3: you know, Pittsburgh, they are 4-0. They're scoring right at
- 4:44Speaker 3: 39 a game, giving only nine points up. But, Keith,
- 4:46Speaker 3: as you said, they've played at home. Miami of Ohio,
- 4:50Speaker 3: UCF Central Florida, Syracuse, and Bucknell, they have not been tested.
- 4:54Speaker 3: James Franklin really has a chance to put a stamp
- 4:56Speaker 3: on this Virginia Tech program tonight. I think he does that.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Yeah, and Jake, I was surprised that the total is
- 5:04Speaker 1: 54 and a half. I thought both teams could play
- 5:07Speaker 1: some good defense. I'm leaning towards the under in that game.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And in the second game, or actually the third game,
- 5:15Speaker 1: because we've got Liberty and Delaware as well. But Penn
- 5:19Speaker 1: State travels to Northwestern. Northwestern opening up a new stadium.
- 5:24Speaker 1: And played Indiana pretty close. So I'm liking Northwestern. Another
- 5:30Speaker 1: first-quarter play. New stadium, lots of excitement and enthusiasm. I
- 5:35Speaker 1: think it may take Penn State a minute to settle in.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm with you on that. You know, Penn State
- 5:40Speaker 3: shocked last week against Wisconsin. They lost 24-20. Northwestern, this
- 5:45Speaker 3: is a team that's playing some pretty good football. They're
- 5:47Speaker 3: sitting at 2-1. As you mentioned, they played within six
- 5:50Speaker 3: points of Indiana. Opening the new stadium tonight. Weird things
- 5:54Speaker 3: happen on Friday. I like Northwestern in this as well.
- 5:57Speaker 2: My man.
- 5:58Speaker 1: And Jake, you know, it's not just college football, right?
- 6:01Speaker 1: Of course we've got the NFL on Sunday, but we've
- 6:03Speaker 1: got Major League Baseball playoffs. We've got WNBA playoffs.
- 6:08Speaker 2: And hockey has.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Just gotten started. So lots and lots of action. You know,
- 6:14Speaker 1: of course, there's golf, tennis, auto racing, all your favorites.
- 6:17Speaker 2: But yeah, lots going on down here at the Sportsbook
- 6:20Speaker 2: at AmeriSoc.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Yeah, you've got everything kicking off tomorrow. You've got the
- 6:25Speaker 3: White Sox and the Guardians. Guardians are the favorite tomorrow. And,
- 6:29Speaker 3: of course, you've got Braves at Dodgers. Dodgers a pretty
- 6:31Speaker 3: big favorite, minus 205 to plus 165. Yankees at the Rays.
- 6:36Speaker 3: The Rays are the favorite, minus 132 to plus 110.
- 6:38Speaker 3: And you've got the Padres at the Brewers. Brewers minus 240,
- 6:42Speaker 3: plus 190. So, I mean, it'll be– I mean, you
- 6:46Speaker 3: talk about just on steroids. I mean, October a lot
- 6:48Speaker 3: of people feel like, and I agree, is arguably the
- 6:50Speaker 3: greatest month in sports because you've got football, you've got baseball,
- 6:53Speaker 3: you've got the puck dropping, you've got all this stuff happening. And, Keith,
- 6:56Speaker 3: I know that you guys will have it on all
- 6:58Speaker 3: over the place. If somebody wants one of these games,
- 7:00Speaker 3: they can find it there.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, Jake, and that's the thing. We've got this
- 7:06Speaker 2: big 30-foot video wall that's going to have all the
- 7:09Speaker 2: college games on it. But we've got 40 other TVs
- 7:12Speaker 2: all around.
- 7:13Speaker 1: So we'll have every baseball game. We'll have the WNBA
- 7:17Speaker 1: playoffs going on. I forgot to mention them.
- 7:20Speaker 2: We'll have WNBA playoffs on. We'll have a hockey game on.
- 7:25Speaker 1: It won't be on the big screen, but we can
- 7:26Speaker 1: find a TV close to.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Where you're sitting at one of our tables, and we
- 7:30Speaker 2: can put it up there for you.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Keith, another college football game while we've got a few minutes.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Florida took Ole Miss out last week, and they just
- 7:39Speaker 3: walked them right out of the swamp. They go to
- 7:41Speaker 3: Missouri tomorrow. Missouri with a tough loss to Mississippi State.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Eli Drinkwitz has not performed. His teams have not performed
- 7:49Speaker 3: well in top 25 matchups. Can Missouri keep it close?
- 7:53Speaker 3: Can they beat Florida tomorrow night?
- 7:54Speaker 2: You know, I love the dogs.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I said it was going to be a.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Dog day afternoon, but I can't back Missouri on that one.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Jake, I want to say a lot of hearties out.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I want to say both edge rushes are questionable. There's
- 8:08Speaker 1: an O lineman out. I think there's too many injuries
- 8:12Speaker 1: for Mizzou to overcome Florida. Florida is one of the.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Few favorites I like. I'll tell you another favorite I like.
- 8:23Speaker 1: The U. Going up to see Dabo and the boys.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I think they went by 20 or more.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Jake, any thoughts on that one?
- 8:34Speaker 3: Oh, absolutely. Look, Miami is a team on a mission.
- 8:37Speaker 3: I know we're not talking a whole lot about Miami
- 8:39Speaker 3: just because of their schedule. And, you know, they had
- 8:42Speaker 3: some coaches, their offensive coordinator came out and took a
- 8:44Speaker 3: shot at the SEC this week, and, you know, about
- 8:46Speaker 3: all the top 25 teams, and nobody's talking about Miami. But,
- 8:49Speaker 3: you know, with Darion Mensah, you know, there's obviously and
- 8:51Speaker 3: rightfully so a lot of talk in this state about
- 8:53Speaker 3: Camario Taylor at Mississippi State, Trinidad Chambliss at Ole Miss
- 8:55Speaker 3: for the Heisman. Darion Mensah has thrown more touchdowns than
- 8:59Speaker 3: he has incompletions. I mean, that is a 30-year– I mean,
- 9:05Speaker 3: that spans– that's a 30-year watermark, high mark. You know, Tony,
- 9:10Speaker 3: the wide receiver there, is likely one of the best–
- 9:13Speaker 3: to me, the best player in college football. I think
- 9:15Speaker 3: they will absolutely run Dabo out of the building. And
- 9:18Speaker 3: this is the highest point total that a Dabo-Sweeney-Clemson team
- 9:21Speaker 3: has had to face since he was hired there 17
- 9:23Speaker 3: years ago.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Wow, how about that? Well, you know, Jake, he's going
- 9:27Speaker 2: to have to get into the portal.
- 9:29Speaker 1: You know?
- 9:30Speaker 3: They may put him in the portal, Keith.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right, Dick.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Keith, tell everybody to come see you this weekend. We
- 9:37Speaker 3: want them to get out there.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Well, Dick, you know, like I tell your listeners, Akron, Craps, Roulette,
- 9:48Speaker 1: all your favorite slot machines, video poker, live poker, right here.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Next to the end zone. And when you come down,
- 9:55Speaker 2: we've oh we got great restaurants you get down here
- 9:57Speaker 2: all day you're gonna get hungry you want a.

- 10:02Speaker 4: want to sit down and just get full and and
- 10:05Speaker 4: eat all you can eat well that's the heritage buffet
- 10:07Speaker 4: looking for a nice something fancy a nice steak dinner
- 10:11Speaker 4: that's bourbon and if.
- 10:12Speaker 2: You're looking for something a little different.
- 10:14Speaker 1: We've got asian cuisine at the red lotus Tons of
- 10:17Speaker 1: stuff to do.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Bottleneck, blues bars, great entertainment. And, Jake, if you come
- 10:23Speaker 2: down and say, I heard you on the radio. I
- 10:25Speaker 2: heard you on Jake Wimbley's show. You know what I'm
- 10:26Speaker 2: going to do? I walk you into the Gurkha Cigar Lounge,
- 10:30Speaker 2: let you pick out a stogie, and get you an
- 10:32Speaker 2: adult bevy on the house.
- 10:34Speaker 1: What do you say to that, Jake?
- 10:36Speaker 3: Keith, you're always the best at entertainment. Get out there.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Of course, grab that Vicolo Vulture Bud Light, courtesy of
