- 0:23chickens. Hey everybody.
- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30Ooh. So what do you do if you are
- 0:33working really hard on your project and nothing seems to
- 0:37keep going, right? Like you seem to keep getting
- 0:40pelted one after another, with the storm, the hail, whatever it
- 0:45might be, even the tornado of what's going on and it's not
- 0:48working out. Well, first of all, I need to
- 0:52make sure you guys understand whatever you're working on.
- 0:56There are always parts of it that just plain suck.
- 1:00I'm Only right now. Nothing is ever going to go 100%
- 1:03smooth and if you expect it to go 100% smooth, then you've
- 1:06missed the point of Being Human, just doesn't work that way.
- 1:09Everything that I've ever worked on has always had challenges
- 1:12including my chickens. I've lost chickens in the
- 1:16process of doing this to Predators.
- 1:18I've lost chickens to stupidity when I first got the chicks and
- 1:22didn't realize that they were dehydrated, I have just had a
- 1:29learning curve. I think.
- 1:30We all understand learning curves and we all don't like it
- 1:34because we all just want to know everything instantaneously.
- 1:38But there's a reason why we're here.
- 1:40And part of our journey is learning, you know, there is an
- 1:44incredibly wonderful Dolly, Parton quote, that says, the way
- 1:48I see it. If you want the rainbow, you got
- 1:51to put up with the rain. And isn't that the truth?
- 1:54If you want the rainbow, you've got to know.
- 1:57Hey, there was rain that happened somewhere along the
- 1:59line, but the rainbow Such a beautiful part of it at the end
- 2:03and that is the essence of everything that we work on.
- 2:07It doesn't matter who you seem, you know, you go out there and
- 2:10you look at stars and you see like, let's look at Dolly Parton
- 2:13for a second. Oh my gosh, that poor woman.
- 2:15She had quite the intense life. And if you go back and you look,
- 2:19I mean, her mother made. Her clothes out of leftover,
- 2:23curtains and things. I mean, come on and look at the
- 2:27life that she has LED and who she has become I mean, she is a
- 2:31shining example of what it is, not just to overcome
- 2:36circumstances, but to choose how to view the circumstances.
- 2:40So when the rain is happening and you're focused on only the
- 2:44rain and you're not still seeing the rainbow at the end of it,
- 2:49you're going to feel bad. You're going to be focused on
- 2:52what's wrong instead of what's that?
- 2:55This is just part of the process.
- 2:58Being able to view your Process as necessary.
- 3:04Work will save you a ton of pain because you'll just realize,
- 3:09wait, this is part of what has to happen for me to succeed.
- 3:12I have to go through this in order to succeed.
- 3:15If you keep allowing yourself to just think it's going to be
- 3:19perfect. Trust me, it doesn't doesn't
- 3:22work that way. So I used to make, when I first
- 3:26started coaching, I made a ton of mistakes.
- 3:28The one I wrote the who's driving your bus book, I threw
- 3:31two versions of that book out. I threw them out right away.
- 3:34It was like I finished him and I was like this sucks.
- 3:36I'm not going to be able to use this.
- 3:37I had to start over you. You get a job.
- 3:41You don't like it. You have to quit.
- 3:43You have to find another one. This is what it's all about.
- 3:48Does not make a difference what we're talking about.
- 3:51But I know there are a lot of people out there right now, who
- 3:54are working on building a business, who are working on
- 3:56projects, who are trying different things, and they're
- 3:59failing. Excellent.
- 4:01You know what, just like Edison said now, you know, what doesn't
- 4:04work. It's not about a failure where,
- 4:07oh, the only failure is in giving up, so take your lessons
- 4:12that you're learning and I'm telling you the best thing that
- 4:16works for me is I will write down.
- 4:18Did I learn from this? What can I take away from this?
- 4:21So, I know, I don't forget it. I don't care.
- 4:24If it's the simplest of simple things.
- 4:26When you can capture the lessons, you've learned you are
- 4:30now moving in the right direction because you are
- 4:32acquiring information, you're pulling it in.
- 4:35And when you're building a business, like let's just say
- 4:37you are working on building a business.
- 4:39When you know what doesn't work. Then you can hold that deer and
- 4:43you can say, Hey listen you know what we've tried that, it didn't
- 4:46work this way. These are the Moments of how we
- 4:48did it. So if you have to recreate it or
- 4:51you're doing something a little different with it, you can say,
- 4:53wait part of this didn't work but maybe some of this will work
- 4:57and you're breaking down the processes.
- 4:59So you know where to go and where not to go, incredibly
- 5:03incredibly important, do yourself the favor and the gift
- 5:07of recognizing that the rain is part of the rainbow as our
- 5:13friend Dolly Parton said, and that you're not just going to be
- 5:16mad at yourself for having having the rain.
- 5:19You can say, wow, okay I got it. This is cool.
- 5:21I understand where this is coming from.
- 5:24I know it's just part of the process and I can wait and, you
- 5:28know, it will pass. All you have to do is remember
- 5:32that piece. It will pass and you can move
- 5:34on. I hope you have a wonderful day.
- 5:37My friends and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:39Bye.
