- 0:11Don Armstrong: a nice looking car.
- 0:12Don Armstrong: Okay, time now for this hour's car review.
- 0:14Don Armstrong: Mr marrs has a 2024 gmc 1500 sierra that he's going to talk about.
- 0:19Don Armstrong: Did I tell you the 24?
- 0:20Don Armstrong: I don't know well, I probably did, but it's actually the 2025 buick.
- 0:25Don Armstrong: I mean 2025 gmc sierra denali ultimate.
- 0:31Don Armstrong: Now the this is part of the fourth gen that was actually introduced in 2019, so they keep updating and keep kind of tweaking things up actually has eight trim levels on it, with the denali ultra being at the very top.
- 0:42Don Armstrong: So this is a full-size pickup.
- 0:45Don Armstrong: This particular version will seat five.
- 0:47Don Armstrong: So you've got all kinds of things that make it the luxury truck.
- 0:50Don Armstrong: It is the power folding side mirrors, got power adjustable steps that actually work.
- 0:56Don Armstrong: I mean, they come out, they're good to step on, to step up into the vehicle, because it's running on some 22-inch wheels, so it sets up a little bit high.
- 1:03Don Armstrong: Had the GMC Multipro tailgate.
- 1:06Don Armstrong: Now this is a six-way tailgate that drops down, got speakers in it, all kinds of cool things, power sunroof, power rear glass that opens up and closes.
- 1:14Don Armstrong: But when you get inside of it just whenever you really find the luxury the leather seating surfaces, the front seats are vented.
- 1:21Don Armstrong: The front seats and the rear seat outer settings are heated.
- 1:23Don Armstrong: The front seats are vented.
- 1:23Don Armstrong: The front seats and the rear seat outer settings are heated.
- 1:25Don Armstrong: The front seats also have massage settings on them and the rear seat is a 60-40 folding rear seat.
- 1:31Don Armstrong: That's got under seat storage built into it.
- 1:35Don Armstrong: It's part of a package that you can add on to this vehicle.
- 1:37Don Armstrong: Now we had a 13.4-inch diagonal screen in the center stack there.
- 1:42Don Armstrong: That makes it very easy to see things, understand what you're doing and stuff.
- 1:45Don Armstrong: Some of the buttons are kind of small.
- 1:47Don Armstrong: You got to kind of look for them, but with that big screen it makes things a lot easier.
- 1:51Don Armstrong: The driver has a 12.3-inch display in front of him that we used to call a gauge package, but there's also a 15-inch diagonal heads-up display.
- 2:00Don Armstrong: Now this is plenty of stuff up there in the windshield that you can set up and you can use.
- 2:03Don Armstrong: Now this is plenty of stuff up there in the windshield that you can set up and you can use.
- 2:05Don Armstrong: And it has the rear camera mirror on it.
- 2:07Don Armstrong: I've come to love that thing a whole lot because of the way it, the width, how big a view you can get out of that.
- 2:14Don Armstrong: Those are cool.
- 2:15Don Armstrong: Now we also had the smart charger.
- 2:18Don Armstrong: It's got a nice slot in front of the console for your phone to fit into and it has a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system in it, so it kind of fills it up really nice with sounds.
- 2:28Don Armstrong: Now under the hood we had the 6.2 liter v8.
- 2:31Don Armstrong: Love this engine 420 horsepower, 460 pound feet of torque, plenty of power, plenty of speed, 10 speed automatic transmission.
- 2:40Don Armstrong: And this vehicle.
- 2:41Don Armstrong: It's not the biggest but it will tow 8,900 pounds.
- 2:45Don Armstrong: With the trailer and package that we had included in it, that's pretty good.
- 2:48Don Armstrong: Haul rating is 1710.
- 2:50Don Armstrong: These half-ton trucks that haul 1,700, 2,000 pounds are amazing.
- 2:55Don Armstrong: Curb weight on this thing is 5,350, so it's a nice big heavy truck.
- 3:00Don Armstrong: Epa says in the city you should be looking for 15 miles to the gallon highway 19, combined 16.
- 3:04Don Armstrong: Now GMC does recommend premium fuel for this particular engine.
- 3:09Don Armstrong: I got 19.6 over 138.9 miles, not bad.
- 3:13Don Armstrong: So most of mine was out on the highway, but I'll take it all day long.
- 3:16Don Armstrong: We also had the Denali adaptive suspension, so it almost makes you feel like just going down the highway, almost makes you feel like you're no longer in a truck.
- 3:24Don Armstrong: It's very nice.
- 3:25Don Armstrong: It's got plenty of quiet glass and insulation in it, so when you turn up the audio you can drown out any road noise that you've got.
- 3:33Don Armstrong: Now a base model for a Sierra Sierra is $45,995.
- 3:39Don Armstrong: Wow, but a base trim for the Denali is $67,395.
- 3:44Don Armstrong: Our MSRP, with a few options that we had, and it is the top-of-the-line ultimate $86,805 for this full-size truck.
- 3:59Don Armstrong: Now if you want to look for something to compare it to, of course you've got to look at the Ford F-150, the 2025.
- 4:02Don Armstrong: For example, the STX, based on its 42,15, compared to the 45995 for the GMC Silverado 2025 1500 crew cab 42700.
- 4:11Don Armstrong: The Ram 1500 2025 crew cab is at 43025.
- 4:15Don Armstrong: So they all start about the same place.
- 4:18Don Armstrong: It kind of depends on what you want to put into it and how much you want to doll it up and what you want to get out of it, but they've all got wonderful choices to make them great vehicles.
- 4:28Don Armstrong: So if you're looking at some of those big three for the trucks, you need to absolutely look at the GMC.
- 4:32Don Armstrong: Good looking truck.
- 4:32Don Armstrong: Today's Involve's on.
- 4:44Don Armstrong: Thank you.
